Lizzy was SO awesome. Super easy to feel comfortable with her, me and my husband have never had professional photos taken so we really enjoyed that aspect. Lizzy matches whatever energy you give, which in return makes it super easy to get along with her. Not to mention our photos turned out BEAUTIFUL. just what we were looking for!!! We told her we wanted a darker presentation, and something where you can really see our love for each other. The price is definitely worth it.. we will cherish our photos forever. Thank you Lizzy!!! Where do I even start! From the start of our ceremony to the end of our reception Lizzy was an absolutely incredible photographer, and human in general. We were so fortunate to be able to have her as our wedding photographer, and we truly believe that there is no one else that could have done a better job than she did!! I (the bride) am far from photogenic and I have no clue how to pose in photos due to my awkwardness, lol, I felt so comfortable with her guidance and amazing communication skills. Beyond Wonderful
Lizzy is fantastic! From our initial meeting, to engagement shoot, to the wedding, everything went great. So good we flew her to our wedding!
From the beginning Lizzy was great! We had an initial phone call and she made me feel so comfortable. I've been in a lot of weddings and look not so great in the professional photos. Lizzy talked me through why that may be and what she would do as our photographer to help us get the shots we want. Our engagement shoot was so much fun! Lizzy went above and beyond. We shot in a dark dive bar but she somehow made the lighting perfect. The engagement photos feel personal, fun, and romantic. I did look for wedding photographers local to MA where we ended up getting married. We ultimately decided to fly Lizzy to MA because although the wedding photographers in there are so talented no one quite had Lizzy's style. We love our wedding photos so much we are having a hard time figuring out which ones to print! If you are on the fence I think you should hire Lizzy. You won't be disappointed.

Lizzy delivered the moody, documentary-style photos we were looking for.
Lizzy did a beautiful job of capturing our wedding in a way that felt authentic and intentional. Her photos aligned with the documentary-style that we were looking for, and she did an absolutely gorgeous job finding perfect lighting for photos that all had to be taken inside due to rain that persisted throughout the entirety of our wedding day.
We've gotten feedback from friends that you truly get a feel for who we are in the photos, and from our friends/family that weren't able to attend the wedding, they said the pictures truly made you feel like you were at the event.
Behind her talent behind the camera, Lizzy was professional, communicative, and delivered our edited photos super quickly. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. We would hire her again and again.

I LOVE Lizzy so so much!! My mom found her for me, and when I saw her work my jaw dropped, then I read what’s important to her when documenting weddings and it dropped even more!! When people say they haven’t looked at their wedding photos in forever, I think they’re crazy because I still look at mine at least 3 times a week!! Lizzy did an amazing job!! Great experience with lizzy. She was patient and her calm energy helped us feel comfortable taking professional photos for the first time! A True Professional and Phenomenal Photos!
I would HIGHLY recommend Lizzie to anyone needing a photographer. Lizzie went above and beyond to help us during our special day. She was incredibly prompt, responsive and helped my wife and I be as comfortable as possible taking pictures (not something we have ever felt top notch doing!). So happy we went with Lizzy for our wedding photography!! It was so easy working with her throughout the entire experience. We were planning our Nashville wedding from CA, but connecting with Lizzy was so smooth the entire time. She was so responsive to all our emails and answered any questions we had quickly. She also took the time to connect in person on one of our planning visits which helped give us good idea of what to expect for our big day. She also went out of her way to scope out good first look photo locations to ensure the lighting and surroundings would be just right. The wedding day experience was just as easy as everything leading up to it. Lizzy made everyone feel so comfortable as she captured all the behind the scenes moments and main events of the day. She kept us on schedule (even early!) while going through all the shots, which definitely kept the whole day really chill. After the big day, she turned around our wedding gallery so quickly! We were so surprised and so happy with the results! We were both amazed with all different perspectives she was able to capture of our ceremony and reception and how well it reflected the way we wanted to have our wedding day story told. So many fun, sweet, candid shots that made looking back on the memories really wonderful, and we can’t wait to be able to keep those sentiments for years to come. First off, Lizzy is absolutely AMAZING at what she does. Her portfolio is what initially drew us to her, but she absolutely blew us away at how effortless she made taking photos and how perfect the photos turned out. We had two ceremonies thanks to COVID and we loved her at our first small ceremony so much that we changed our second date to be able to get her as our photographer again. After the first wedding, the best part was knowing she was going to get amazing photos no matter what. Multiple times we said to each other "Lizzy will make it look great regardless" and we were RIGHT! They turned out SO much better than we could have ever hoped. Lizzy is a dream!!
Lizzy was so amazing during the whole process! We had to cancel our original wedding plans due to COVID and Lizzy worked with us to book a new date a whole year later.
We had so many compliments from guests about her! Our photos are so beautiful and she got them to us super fast! She made the whole experience fun!! We felt so comfortable around her even though we didn’t meet her in person until the wedding day. We only had her booked for a short amount of time because it was an intimate wedding, but she was able to capture so many gorgeous images! We can’t express how happy we are and the gratitude we have for capturing the special moments of our perfect day.
I would highly recommend Lizzy. She’s a gem!

Wonderful, fun, unique, moody!
Lizzy was a joy to work with for both our engagement photos + wedding photos! My now husband is NOT one to enjoy getting his photo taken, so I was a little nervous about him feeling super awkward. Lizzy was so fun and down to earth in both sessions, which made everything feel so natural! Our photos are AWESOME too! She gave us back over 1,500 from our wedding day and I truly love all of them. I'd recommend her to anyone!

Very Impressed!
When I began looking for a photographer for our wedding, I had no idea where to begin. I wanted someone who did great work, but was still affordable. Throughout my search, I found Lizzy Oakley Photography! I loved her style and how rich the colors in each photograph were. On our wedding day, Lizzy was so laid back, which made me really enjoy taking so many pictures on our special day. My husband and I were beyond thrilled with how all of our wedding pictures turned out. She captured so many amazing moments that I will treasure for a lifetime!

Absolutely Amazing
Lizzy is nothing short of amazing! From our engagement photos to wedding day photos, she's a God send. My husband and I were drawn to her moody, cinematic, and fun style. Most photographers shoot very bright and airy which is pretty but not what we wanted. We like the darker look better. She killed it with our engagement photos so we weren't worried about the wedding photos. She captured everything from getting ready, to our decor, cake, ceremony, reception and so much more. Lizzy is so much fun to be around but also laid back. She is a pro! We won't take photographs with anyone else. Lizzy is the best! We can't thank you enough!

Lizzy was fantastic to work with and we love our photos! We found her after we had to cancel our destination wedding and reschedule to a smaller, backyard event instead; since we already had engagement photos by then, she allowed us to swap the engagement photo hours in the package to cover our small mehndi party the night before. She was also willing to be flexible in case we needed to cancel or postpone again, so that was all reassuring. We received our photos very quickly after the event. We loved the way she captured the details and the lighting, plus candid shots of all of the guests....we would highly recommend!

I cannot even begin to express our satisfaction with Lizzy. Amazing photography
Lizzy was such an amazing addition to our wedding day. Her instructions were encouraging and helpful. Lizzy had many helpful ideas and was keen on delivering visuals of the moments we wanted most, rather than forcing moments. She communicated well and was a pleasure to interact with. Understanding during trying times
I would highly recommend Liz! She was very professional from the first time we met with her. She made sure to capture what’s important to you and helped the day run very smoothly. It was always easy communicating with her via email and text. Her turn around time for pictures was also very fast and it was easy to access the pictures. You can’t go wrong with an experienced photographer like Liz!
Liz did our engagement photos and they were great! Her style is unique and she really tries to understand what you want. We were going to go with Liz for our wedding, but because of the virus and other issues, we weren't sure when the wedding would be and that was very stressful. Liz was extremely helpful during this time and did everything in her power to help us. Again, I highly recommend Liz!

Lizzy Oakley was one of the best things about our special day. Lizzy is professional, creative, and endearing. Her professional and kind demeanor made her easy to work with. She is great a listener and really captured our personalities and style. I highly recommend Lizzy for your wedding.
From our first meeting, Lizzy was organized and thoughtful. She took the time to really get to know us and our story. She also asked great questions that really helped us to plan out our day. We really felt like she was part of our "wedding team" and knew we could come to her with any questions or concerns knowing that she would be flexible and kind.
Our favorite thing about Lizzy is how creative she is. Lizzy has an extensive background in fashion photographer which is one of the reasons that drew us to her. Her unique style is apparent in our photos. We still have trouble picking our favorite photo because all of them are exquisite.
Lizzy's endearing personality was a key factor for why our photos and the day was spectacular. She was great at making us both feel comfortable in front of the camera which could have easily been an awkward situation for us because we've never had a photo shoot before. She has a calm presence that made us immediately relax and have fun. Since we were both confident in her previous work, this also too made us feel relaxed and beautiful.
I can't wait to use Lizzy again for our future family photos. I would highly recommend Lizzy to anyone for weddings, engagements, and family photos. She is a dream photographer and I can't wait to cross paths with her again!

Outstanding photography experience
I feel like all couples say “We loved our wedding photographer! They’re great!” But for real Lizzy is a cut above the rest. She could have chopped my arm off and I’d still be amazed. She’s that good. Hands down best move we made with the wedding was booking with her! I hate getting my picture taken but somehow she made it feel fun, nature, and normal. She’s very chill and laid back and overall a genuinely great person. We actually felt valued as people and not just another cookie cutter wedding day gig to crank photos out for. She’s the type of person you want around on your wedding day. She’s definitely not a photographer that makes you feel uncomfortable or puts all the pressure on you. She sets you up to actually enjoy the moment you are in and then while you are busy being present enjoying your fiancé/husband/wife/whoever she beautifully captures the raw and tangible emotions of those memories. We used her for engagement photos and our wedding photos and I’m so glad that we did. Getting the chance to meet with her and learn her style (and her getting to know us) definitely helped me feel more at ease the whole wedding day. My fiance and I had the best experience with Lizzy as our wedding photographer. She has a great talent and eye for photography. Her work is beautiful and unique and exactly what I was looking for and was an incredible turnout. Laid back Lizzy, STUNNING photos.
Lizzy took STUNNING pictures of our wedding. She is fun, easy and laid-back to work with, and did a great job of coaching me and my camera-shy husband and our families through posed shots. She was in all the right places at the right times throughout the night. She's a pro, and takes her work seriously -- she took time out to do a site visit with us before the wedding so we could plan our shots. I am so happy that we made Lizzy a part of our big day!
The pictures turned out amazing. We had so much fun seeing all the little moments that she caught while being there. The secret hugs and kisses, the laughs, or our guests being serenaded by the D.J..
While the pictures are important (did I mention amazing) they are the end result of all the hard work that Lizzy has put into her profession. Every time we spoke on the phone she made me feel as if we had been friends for ages and couldn't wait to see me walk down the aisle. Her passion for photography shows in every picture and I am so glad we found someone that not only loves what they do but do a darn good job at it too.

I wasn't even sure I wanted to do engagement photos because so many come out looking cheesy, but after I saw the photos she did for my sister and her fiance, I immediately booked Lizzy to do a session for me and my fiance. And I LOVE the photos that we got...very natural, very pretty and will look amazing framed and hung up in our new house :) Lizzy is also doing my sister's wedding this weekend and I can't wait to see how the photos come out.

If you're looking for a photographer and are as clueless as I was of what qualities make up a true expert in the field, I can now tell you what two qualities proved most important, at least for me, now that we've gone through our photos a half dozen times.
1) A true expert is able to capture all the moments that you are going to miss. You will be busy talking to people all night and will miss a lot; it's inevitable. Lizzy caught moments I had no idea were going on. Kids playing outside of the crib barn during the reception, Uncle Gene cracking everyone up with his jokes, and much much more. More importantly, no. 2, she understood the emotion and energy of each moment and used that quality to craft each photo to its full potential. Lizzy did a great job. I highly recommend her services.

One of the best decisions I made while planning my wedding was hiring Lizzy Oakley for our photographer! I am SO grateful that we found her!! Her talent blows me away. My husband and I are so in love with our wedding photos! Each one is so beautiful and captures the sheer joy we felt on our wedding day. I don't know how she did it, but she was able to capture every aspect of our day. From the look on my husband's face as I walked down the aisle, to all the beautiful group shots of our wedding party, to the sweet moments during the father/daughter dance....I could go on and on. Every moment was captured in Lizzy's beautiful photographs.
Besides her AMAZING talent, she is a blast to work with and such a sweet person. We had so much fun with her during our engagement shoot and even more fun with her on our wedding day. My fiance and I hired Lizzy to be our wedding and engagement photographer (6 hours wedding photography coverage + engagement session). We're planning our wedding long-distance and only had one weekend to fit in our engagement photos AND wedding appointments. Lizzy was so flexible and made it work. The weather was iffy, and she was also flexible with the location. We are not very comfortable in front of a camera, and Lizzy made us laugh and feel at ease. Our engagement photos turned out gorgeous and reflected our true selves, not awkward poses that don't actually look like us. We are having a multi-cultural Hindu wedding, and we wanted a photographer who could make everyone feel comfortable but also be efficient. I have no doubt that Lizzy will be able to do that and take phenomenal photos of a really important day for us.
Wedding update: We had a traditional Sri Lankan Hindu wedding ceremony outside, so I was a little nervous about Lizzy never having photographed a Hindu wedding before. But I honestly had no reason to worry! She was incredible, and the shots are stunning. She made sure to do her research and have an understanding of what was going on in the ceremony beforehand because she captured the details and both big and small moments. She also managed to catch fleeting glances and moments of laughter that were certainly not planned at all. It was also VERY HOT on the day, and Lizzy was a superstar. She never complained and was completely professional. She also worked really well with our families and guests who had travelled from all over the globe. We spoke with many photographers before we chose Lizzy, and I am so grateful we chose her. The value is incredible, and more importantly, Lizzy will make you feel comfortable and completely at ease amidst the chaos.

Lizzy was amazing! I am so glad that we found her! She made the photo shoot so fun, and the pictures turned out amazing! We have only done our engagements with her, but we are so excited for her to be at our wedding! She is knowledgeable, responds fast, will help you find locations, and directs you how to pose to get the best pictures. Her work is absolutely amazing!

Lizzy is so great!!!! We used her for all of our photos. She gave us way more photos than what we were expecting! You can tell she loves what she does. Lizzy is an amazing, creative, and artistic photographer. She is punctual, professional, and fun! I'm a salon owner and I tell all my soon-to-be brides about her. I've experienced being behind the scene doing hair and makeup as well as being the bride so I understand how important the dynamics of a photographer is during weddings. Lizzy is so wonderful to work with. When I got married she was my first and only choice! My advice: be open to her vision, allow her be creative with your wedding. I promise you will be a very happy bride!

Lizzy went above and beyond our expectations. I wanted our engagement photos taken up at Brighten Resort, she was all in when we had to climb through waist deep snow to get the shots we wanted. Her fun and spunky personality made her easy to work with, allowing us to be comfortable and relaxed during the shoots. Her experience was undeniable, she had all the right ideas and suggestions. Her artistic eye is evident in her photos. Highly recommend!

Lizzy was fun, easy to work with, flexible, always on time, and a great value for the quality received! We got our photos back in a few weeks rather than months, which is what it can take for some photographers. (I know most brides anxiously await their wedding photos, so this was a huge plus.) Pictures were wonderful, and she managed to capture lots of fun candids. Highly recommend!

Exactly what I wanted
I wanted moody wedding photos and she delivered! She didn’t over ask questions, didn’t feel invasive, she truly blended into the crowd. Everyone loved her and her second shooter, and we got all the shots desired! I never felt rushed or pressured. It was a great experience. And the photo turnaround was so fast! Loved Lizzy and her product!

There are a couple of pictures that I wish were taken. We do not have a picture of our wedding rings with my bouquet or a picture with both sides of the family. I have to admit, this is probably my fault as the day was crazy and hectic. I highly recommend Lizzy for your photography needs.

Book her! You are obviously reading these reviews to see if Lizzy will be up to par to take your photos. She is! If you are a newbie to taking photos and are nervous, she’s your girl. She is so chill and helpful at giving you advice for poses and making you feel comfortable. If you are a pro at taking photos, she’s your girl. Lizzy will be your hype girl and capture photos that highlight all the positives. Lizzy took our engagement photos and our wedding photos and we loved every single photo! Her photography style is dark, moody and absolutely stunning! I feel like I have found my family’s photographer and will be using her for all our photography needs. I don’t have a PCP yet but I have a photographer lol!

Magical photos!
Lizzy was great to work with. Her photo style is moody and a bit of a woodland fairy vibe which is exactly what I was looking for! My groom wasn't feeling well the day of our wedding but based on the photos Lizzy captured, you wouldn't even be able to tell!
