I LOVE Liza!!!! I am a very particular about quality when it comes to things I buy. My engagement ring is a big deal to me and having a nice ring I can happily cherish for life was very important to me. LIZA MADE MY CUSTOM ENGAGEMENT RING DREAMS COME TRUE!!!!! She was a pleasure to work with and she took her time to help me customize what I wanted in a ring but within the price range I was willing to spend. I dare anyone to go to a chain jeweler and compare the quality of experience from consultations. I was turned off by my experience at the chain jeweler. It was so turned off because each store was impersonal and they kept telling me so many things about what rings were not possible or available. It was a no brainer, I am a fan of Liza for life. With my engagement ring experience, Liza showed me so many ring samples and thoroughly explained what rings and stones would look amazing and maintain their quality. She did a wonderful job of answering my and my fiancé's questions. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she took the time to show me 5 samples of pink sapphire(I selected my favorite one) and several ring settings and thickness. She takes her time to ensure that your ring is properly sized and fits to your satisfaction. Liza truly cares about her clients and the jewelry she makes. I felt it with each interaction. Liza custom designed my ring from my fiance's grandmother's stone and it is gorgeous! The solitaire stands alone, and she built a gorgeous, organic looking colored diamond/sapphire jacket around it. Even when there were a couple minor hiccups, she had a speedy response to all our needs :) And I even had her make a three small pendants for my future sisters and mother in law made from the gold of their grandmother's ring! It has her birthstone on it, so it's like they get a little piece of her to take with them as well. Highly recommend!

Liza very much cares about your wants, and really is in tune with people's tastes. I received a handmade ring, with a beautiful vintage diamond from my fiance-- totally me and I absolutely love it. She's currently in the process of making our wedding bands. We know from the beginning that'd she'd be making them!

I walked into Liza's store last fall not having an appointment and not having a clue about engagement rings. Liza took the time to sit with me and go through all the options. It took a long while, but she was very patient, warm, and attentive. In the end, we picked a simple, classic design with Liza's unique handmade twist on it - and my fiancee loved it. Now we're having her make our wedding bands too! It's been so great working with Liza, I highly recommend her.

My fiance designed my engagement ring at Liza Shtromberg Jewelry. He loved his experience working her and how detailed she allowed him to be in creating the ring. My ring is so unique and I get compliments on it all the time! It has a lovely gold bang that is engraved in a vintage style and it holds three diamonds on top. We are now working with her to design our wedding bands and I've loved my experience working with her too. Because it's custom you can get what you want and stay in your price range.

I am so grateful to Liza for the beautiful engagement ring she helped my fiancee create! I had no idea what to expect, based on the limited hints I'd given my fiancee, but with Liza he was able to sketch out an incredibly unique and heartfelt design. It's perfect! We went back to Liza after getting engaged, to help design our wedding bands and she took the time to really listen to what we wanted and to show us samples. She didn't try to sell us on anything that wasn't "us" and the end result is a set of rings I know that we'll cherish forever. Thank you, Liza!!

We came to Liza last year with an heirloom engagement ring wanting to reset the diamond into something new and modern. She was able to execute the design beautifully. Recently we went back to design our wedding bands. Liza was able to work with an idea we had and created a special custom design. We are so excited to pick them up!

I should preface this by acknowledging that I'm not the kind of person who dreamt about an engagement ring, dress, or general wedding at all. I figured that when my fiancé proposed, he'd have a ring picked out, but honestly, I didn't even know if there'd be a diamond in it. Imagine my surprise when not only was it GORGEOUS but it was a one-of-a-kind, custom made ring designed in accordance with my tastes and around a family diamond. The ring is really perfect for me: it's tasteful, interesting to look at, not too gaudy or too large, and incredibly unique. I find myself staring at it a lot. His experience with Liza was nothing but excellent, and when I met her, I can see why. She knows her stuff. I needed the ring resized just a tiny bit and Liza was quick to help us with that. We're excited to return to Liza for our wedding bands as well.

She and her team are incredibly helpful, patient, and creative. I knew nothing about engagement rings, but i showed her photos of the types of rings my fiancé wears and she presented me with many different examples for what was possible. She then incorporated my ideas into a brand new design that we developed together. The entire process with very collaborative and my fiancé and I are both thrilled with the ring we produced. From our first call to the final design of the ring, Liza was extremely attentive to our needs. When I called Liza, I told her I wanted to use my mother's engagement ring along with another diamond ring of hers. Her assistant reassured me that this was Liza's specialty. Liza took the time to call me prior to our first meeting. She asked for photos of my mom's rings along with inspiration which really helped me and my fiance get an idea of styles that we liked. Our first meeting with Liza was so relaxed. She educated us on the process and diamonds in general. We never felt pressured to buy anything or to use her as a designer. She took the time to really get to know us and what we wanted. She was also very honest and told me what was trendy vs what was timeless. After that first meeting, we just knew we had to go with Liza.

The design process was efficient and timely. She sent over several detailed sketches of the ring and provided revisions until it was perfect! She was great about communicating final costs so that there were no surprises. I didn't see the final product until my fiance proposed and needless to say, I was knocked off my feet. It's truly a unique, beautiful piece that I'll cherish forever.

Knowing nothing about jewelry I was scared that doing a custom engagement ring would cost me a fortune. Thank goodness I was wrong. Liza is the best! I walked in knowing only that I wanted to buy an engagement ring, but really had no idea what I was doing. Fortunately it turned out I had nothing to worry about because she guided me through the entire process. From initial consultation, to selecting the jewels, to designing the ring itself, to sending me digital renderings of the ring to approve the design before production... all the way to the day I came in and picked up the masterpiece, she was fantastic. The consultation process was such a pleasure. I had no idea where to start with buying an engagement ring, and Liza helped me so much. Liza was absolutely amazing in helping me design my wedding ring. I wanted something that was unique and looked great with my engagement ring. Liza not only made me the perfect ring, but she did it in a very crunched timeline! I went in to her store having no idea what I wanted, and she listened to what I was into and what I wanted, and together we came up with a great wedding band to match my engagement ring, and we decided to have her hammer the metal on my engagement ring to match my rose gold hammered wedding band. A day later I decided to change the diamonds I wanted on the band, and Liza was super patient with explaining what I could get, and sending me pictures, and helping me decide on what to go with. Then my fiance decided a week before we left for our wedding that he wanted a copy of his dad's ring. Liza made it happen in just a couple days. She even met my fiance and I in our car outside her Downtown LA location so we could avoid parking!
And our rings are really exactly what we wanted, and I love that they were locally made. I would definitely recommend Liza to anyone who knows exactly what they want, or who has no idea! Super quality jewelry and really great customer service.

We found Liza online while we were looking for someone who could design our wedding rings and think outside of the box. Liza was a perfect choice. She custom makes her wedding rings and has a wide variety of designs to choose from and to inspire new ideas. We wanted a rustic, natural, artisan crafted feel to our yellow gold wedding rings and Liza took her time to help us choose, decide and advise us on our choices. She was flexible with resizing and engraving and the turnaround was quick. She cared about our rings and satisfaction with the final product. We got exactly what we wanted and are very happy with our choices! We highly recommend Liza's services. The prices are fair and service is as good as you're gonna get!

My gorgeous ring is being cleaned or I'd provide a photo but in absolutely in love with it! My fiancé found her on Yelp after a long search. He had bought a diamond independently and wanted a custom made setting. After talking with him she was able to suss out exactly the style I would like - a beautiful 18k gold setting with pave diamonds. In fact, we decided to have Liza custom make my wedding band as well. I found Liza after searching tirelessly for a jeweler that wasn't just your run of the mill, generic ring manufacturer. I wanted something special for my fiance. Liza's personalized care and attention made me feel like I was on the right path to getting something really custom made and special. In November of 2015 she created a beautiful 18K yellow gold hand made custom engagement ring with pave diamonds. My fiance loved the ring so much, we went back recently and asked her to make an 18k yellow gold hand made custom wedding ring. Liza's jewelry is stunning. My fiance found her when searching for someone to create my engagement setting. I ended up with the most beautiful hand engraved white gold vintage style engagement ring that people are always complimenting me on. It's stunning. I had an exceptional experience planning the custom design and fabrication of an engagement ring for my fiancee. On multiple occasions, Liza went out of her way to accommodate my erratic work schedule so we could meet face to face. I brought a design I liked and she was able to guide me through the process of making changes to perfectly suit my fiancee's tastes. Liza took the time not only to help me come up with a great design but also educate me about the ring options, styles, diamonds, metals, and all the various considerations. When it was all said and done, she was instrumental in deciding on a white gold pave engagement ring with a cushion bezel set and a gorgeous diamond I was allowed to hand pick, along with a few other custom details. I am so happy to be able to say that there is no other ring exactly like this one around! Lastly, everything was done within the price range I requested and the value of her artistic services surely exceed the prices she charges. My fiancee adores her ring and we will certainly be back for wedding bands!! I would highly recommend Liza for any jewelry needs. Her customer service, value, attention to detail, communication, and artistry are truly fantastic!

My husband had a really big task in his hands in finding an engagement ring that I\'d like. I\'m not picky -- but I dreaded to be proposed with an engagement ring that would resemble anything like the ones that were shown in jewelry television ads. However, he decided to scout to the local shops -we live in Los Feliz-, and found Liza. Best find ever! When he proposed to me in Hong Kong, despite being absolutely tired with jet lag, he made the moment perfect and topped it with the most excellent choice for a ring for me. It\'s unique and fits my jewelry style, it has a high level of detail in the making yet its simplicity is what makes it perfect. After he told me which business he got it from, I went in there to check out their pieces, loved all of the jewelry and I met -and loved- Liza. She\'s fun and informative and I really enjoy knowing that my ring was made by such a fantastic person.

My wife found Liza while looking for antique and unconventional rings for her wedding ring, and it was clear that Liza was a great match. The pieces in her shop are eclectic and of many different styles--but clearly all made with great care. It's a fun place to look around, and I'm normally loath to enter a jewelry store.

I had always assumed I would buy a cheap wedding band for myself off of Amazon. However, after my wife received her ring, I decided that I wanted Liza to make my ring too. We are both incredibly happy with the style and quality of our rings, as well as the friendly and professional service provided by Liza.

Can't recommend highly enough.

My perfect mate found the perfect ring at Liza's in Los Feliz. She is very flexible with the sizing as well. It fit perfectly in the summer when my hands were plump and now the ring is a bit loose. She created a nice and comfortable piece that allows the ring to fit in the winter months and led me to have my ring sized down permanently to ensure a blissful comfort that the ring will always stay on my hand. I love her designs and can't wait to pick up our bands we ordered. The bands are gorgeous!!!! Thank you Liza!

Liza surpassed every expectation I had in a jewelry designer. My fiancé and I met with her with a many ring design ideas and family stones that we wanted to incorporate. I didn't realize how difficult it would be to make all the seemingly small (yet crucial) decisions it takes to create our perfect ring.

While Liza was initially very careful not to give her opinion and allowed us the time and space to discover the ring I wanted, she could tell I was struggling a bit and offered small pieces of advice towards the end (which were perfect!) After our first meeting, she gave us time to do some homework based on what we discussed, emailed us some digital renderings of ring designs, and we were able to pick a design in a matter of days.

My fiancé and I were so excited to see the finished product, we asked if she could rush and have it to us before Christmas, so I could show it off to the family! I knew this would be a long shot, but she somehow pulled it off.

Here's the best part though...Liza secretly emailed my fiancé letting him know it was ready, so he could surprise me with it. So on Christmas, he actually re-proposed, WITH THE NEW RING, in front of our families! Liza not only designed my ring, but she made the experience even more special. We are looking forward to designing our wedding rings with her now!

We first saw Liza's work at a fundraiser we were volunteering at in the summer of 2012. She had donated a piece to the auction and my boyfriend's bid actually won! I had to get the ring sized and took it into her store where I discovered that she makes loads of incredible and authentic jewelry including engagement and wedding rings. From that moment on we knew she would design my ring and even though I am ridiculously particular, I trusted Zack in her hands and had no doubt they would create something we would both love. And they did! In October of this year, he presented me with the most beautiful ring while asking for my hand in marriage. I was never one to get caught up in a ring, but I have to say- it is so fun getting compliment after compliment on how original, funky, and special it is. "It's amazing, I've never seen anything like it, it's soooo YOU," are the words we typically hear. I'm most in love with it because my fiancé is so proud that his articulation of my style was so perfectly captured by Liza. I met her recently and loved her gracious and humble personality. I cannot wait to work with her on our wedding bands in the very near future!

All Liza's work is beautiful so look at the rings she already has in store, you might find just what you want. If you don't, Liza will work with you to make something perfect. She showed me many styles, and walked me through the different metals, stones, finishes, etc. She also listened and asked me questions about what I liked and didn't like and helped me articulate what I really wanted. Then she made me the most beautiful and unique ring, I love it. And finally, her prices are very good for the quality and service. I will go back for other special occasion pieces or to treat myself whenever I can! Visit her store, you will love it.

We found Liza and her beautiful jewelry at a farmer's market about a month after we started dating. Hoping not to get too ahead of myself, I made a mental note about her rings and didn't say anything to him. I guess he had the same idea because a year later, he presented me with the most beautiful ring I could have ever dreamed of.
Liza worked with him to find the perfect stone and suggested a rose gold setting, which I absolutely love.
Now we're days away from our wedding and I can't wait to see how the band will complete the look. Liza has been so responsive and she and her team are wonderful to work with.

My fiance and I met with Liza to design a custom engagement ring. She was so friendly and helpful...she went over all the design options, we looked at dozens of rings in her store to discuss exactly what we liked and didn't like, and we were able to customize our ring down to the exact millimeter. The quality is amazing. The ring is STUNNING and I get complimented on it all the time. It feels so much more meaningful to be wearing a ring designed by our neighborhood jeweler. We're going back to Liza to have our wedding bands made!

I recently purchased an engagement ring for my girlfriend from Liza and she really did make an intimidating experience comfortable and fun. We got a great vibe from Liza immediately! She was patient (admittedly, I am very indecisive) and took the time to help me find the perfect engagement ring setting and diamond. She was very understanding of my boyfriend's budget and worked with us to stay within those parameters. I highly recommend Liza to anybody looking for a painless and exciting experience.

I don't give these 5 Stars in all these categories lightly. I'm a discerning consumer and Liza provided a very comfortable environment to buy my fiancee a gorgeous engagement ring. She answered all of my questions thoroughly and never once pushed me or tried to up-sell me. I told her my budget and once I decided on the ring's style and setting, she had me come back couple of days later to look at three stone options - all within my budget. Once I pulled the trigger, the ring was ready soon after. When I first saw it, I gasped - I'm not kidding - it is exquisite. When I proposed, my fiancee gasped too. She loves it. I'm so happy that I was able to give her such a gorgeous ring for an a truly fair price. I only want the best for her and this little gem blows away any ring I thought I'd be able give her.
Also, fellas, there is plenty of parking on Hillhurst and the surrounding side streets.

My boyfriend surprised me a couple weeks ago with the most gorgeous ring from Liza's store!! I know I'm biased, but all my friends want to know where he got it. It's just so unique- not the ring that everyone has these days. He also commented on how great and personable the service was. He even took his mom into the store to look at the rings and she, too, was impressed with the selection and the service! I just got my ring sized for no additional charge and was charmed by the cute shop with the quick service and the unique selection!

Upgraded my wedding set after 10 years at Liza Shtromberg and I couldn't have had a better experience!! Very unique and original designs- and Liza and her manager Lauren were exceptionally helpful and went over and above in their customer service to me and my hubby!! Ended up buying one of her designs, then added a custom wedding band and it turned out PERFECT!!! Run, don't walk to check out this store before you go anywhere else in LA! This place is the BEST!!

My husband and I have been searching for a new ring and found out Liza Shtromberg online. We decided to visit the store and feel in love with the unique designs they have. If you are looking for a truly unusual ring that will be unlike anything else in the chain engagement ring stores go to Liza. She makes incredibly beautiful and unique jewelry whether you want a traditional diamond or another kind of stone. My fiancé worked with her to design my engagement ring and Liza was 100% flexible and easy going when we came back to make some changes to the original design. The ring is sturdy and pretty all at the same time. I love it and it has so much more meaning because she thoughtfully incorporated input from both my fiancé and I.

I had always said that I just wanted a simple silver band, but when he went to pick out a ring, he didn't feel like the bands were special enough and started a search for something in between a band and an engagement ring. After shopping around at some bigger brand name stores, he decided he wanted something more unique and artisan. He found Liza Shtromberg jewelry in Los Feliz, and was drawn to their handmade collection of gorgeous jewelry. He also knew I would be happy to hear that they don't use blood diamonds, and in some instances used recycled fine metals for their pieces.

He fell for a slim white gold band that had 4 inset diamonds. This was the perfect choice for me as I wanted something simple and elegant.

He didn't know my ring size, and the awesome sales manager at Liza Shtromberg, Lauren, told him to come back if he needed to get it resized. It turned out we needed to take them up on that offer, and when we went into the store, Lauren immediately greeted my fiance. This was clearly a person who put a high premium on customer service and had connected to my fiance while helping him pick a ring for me.

They expertly sized the ring and then when we returned to pick it up, there was no charge. The ring is beautiful and simple - exactly what I wanted. We plan to return to Liza Shtromberg for our wedding bands and bridesmaids gifts. Their jewelry is unique and individual, which makes it feel so special.

Can I give 6 stars? Liza is an amazingly talented designer. I was looking at antique engagement rings before I decided to work with Liza to create a one-of-a-kind ring for my fiancee Simone. Liza was such a delight to work with, and her staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, especially Lauren who I worked closely with.

Simone *loves* her ring, and we will definitely be going back to Liza for more jewelry in the future.

I strolled into Liza's shop on a mission to find the perfect engagement ring for my special lady. Being an artist I didn't want the run-of-the-mill, standard diamond ring. I was searching for something hand made, something very special. I was thrilled that Liza had a wide array of really unique and creative rings, what an artist! I had brought research images that we used to help us narrow down the options. In the end Liza made me an unbelievable treasure that my finance loved!

Lauren was incredibly helpful and patient in showing me all the different options that would be available. I was able to pick a setting, and a separate diamond, and I was able to get an engagement ring that was not only in the price range that I was looking to spend, but was stunning and beautiful. I couldn't recommend Liza Shtromberg Jewelry more. Antique Modern is truly an accurate description of Liza's jewelry. It's unique, it's fresh, and it feels classic. Plan on returning to get my wedding band here. Absolutely love the engagement ring that was made for me.

I was completely overwhelmed with finding the right engagement ring until I found Liza Shtromberg... Amazing pieces of jewelry, but the customer service is what makes this place such a find. after looking around for a good place to find the perfect wedding rings someone suggested i check out liza shtromberg on hillhurst. i liked her range of styles right away, they were unique and yet somehow timeless. i needed help and lauren was very patient and we quickly narrowed my search down to a few rings that seemed rustic and yet elegant. once i had picked 2 rings i asked for some custom changes in size and materials and had to put a rush on my order since my wedding was 5 days later. the rings turned out beautiful and well on time without any extra charges. i highly recommend this place for great service and craftsmanship.

My fancé and I visited Liza Shtromberg to pick out engagement and wedding rings. One of their employees, Lauren, was so patient and enthusiastic and took a lot of time to show us our options and tell us how they could customize non-traditional rings for us. She's great! The rings themselves were ready in a week and a half or so, and when I had to bring mine back for resizing they were very patient and happy to help. Both of us love our unique rings and are glad to recommend LS to others.

My fiancé has been gifting me jewelry from Liza Shtromberg for the past 10 years. When it came time for him to decide on an engagement ring he knew that what he had seen at other jewelry stores was not what he envisioned for me so his first and last stop was at Liza Shtromberg. She worked closely with him to design the PERFECT engagement ring for me and stay within his budget. I LOVE my ring and the fact that my fiancé was able to help on the final design makes it all the more special. I continuously receive complements on how beautiful and intricate it is.

Several weeks ago we met with Liza to decide on our wedding bands. As always, Liza was wonderful, she provided some initial ideas, listened to what we wanted, and then designed the perfect rings that represented exactly what each of us wanted. We just received our wedding bands (exactly one year after the proposal) and they are beautiful! I can’t wait to show them off! Thanks Liza!

I love that she uses only vintage, conflict free diamonds. I fell in love with the unique hand-textured bands on her website but neither the fiancee or I had a clear idea of what we wanted. Liza was so easy to work with- she showed us various widths, finishes and metals until I had designed the band of my dreams. Liza was a gentle guiding presence and after hearing that the engraving was important to us, she offered engraving in both English and Chinese characters. I ended up with a simple ring but she showed us a more complicated piece she had made for a couple and I can see that her work with stones is also amazing and has her distinctive style.

Their unique ring selection is truly stunning. It was exactly what I was looking for, which was a classic, beautiful ring that stood out from the crowd. This is a fantastic store if you're looking for jewelry that avoids the same conventional design you keep seeing over and over again. The website doesn't even scratch the surface of what's available so I highly recommend a visit to the charming little boutique in Los Feliz.

I found the perfect engagement ring for my fiancee here. We also came back to get our wedding bands.

Great service and quality- it's nice to start your first steps in a family by getting your wedding jewelry from a real family business.
