Whitney is not just a baker, she is an artist! Her creativity and knowledge of using artistic talents in baking is honestly, astounding. I love working with her, and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a baker for their wedding! -

Whitney was fantastic to work with, when I hired her I originally wanted a partially "naked" cake, and then a few months out we went in a completely different direction and wanted an art deco/new years style cake. She was so wonderful sending me many ideas and drawings, revising them until we came to a decision. The cake was stunning, and SOOOO yummy, we also did cookies, bundt cakes and bars which were also delicious and super cute. -

Whitney was a complete dream to work with! Her creativity and skill is really something special. She blew us away with the extensive flavor options, and she does so much than just wedding cakes. Her art is beautiful and her baking abilities are nothing short of amazing! We received so many compliments from our guests. Thanks so much for being a part of our special day!! Delicious custom cakes
Whitney is an absolute gem! I worked with her to design a cutting cake and cupcakes for my summer 2029 wedding. She was very easy to work with and sent over quite a few design ideas until we landed on the perfect one.
She has a huge list of cake flavors and I received so many compliments from guests on how good everything tasted. If you're a coffee fan, make sure you try the caramel macchiato during your tasting - it's out of this world. -

Look no further for all of your wedding dessert needs! Whitney does amazing work. Our cutting cake was absolutely beautiful and SO delicious. We went with a dessert bar for our guests and everyone enjoyed all of the options. Her prices are super competitive and her flavor options are endless. Whitney is so easy to work with and is so kind and personable. We are so glad we chose Little Blackbird Bakery!! -

Trista Sent on 08/23/2018We have a wonderful experience with Whitney and Little Blackbird Bakery! I was planning a wedding from out of state and felt it would be stressful. It was the opposite. Whitney was very accommodating to meet on short notice when I was in town. We were allowed to get a couple different sample boxes due to being indecisive and we even got extras :) Our guests raved about all the desserts and how amazing they were! I would highly recommend this bakery! Nothing compares and the prices are very affordable! I can’t wait to use her in the future for our family life events! Whitney is a genuine person, she has passion for her work and is one amazing baker!

She bent over backwards to help make my dream cake come true. It was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined and I know she spent so much time in every detail to ensure I was happy with its outcome. The cake flavor choices are endless, and by far the best cake I’ve ever had (and believe me, I have tried a lot ;))

I was one of those brides where I liked bits and pieces of different cakes and she made my cake even more beautiful than I ever could have dreamed. When I say pictures don't even do it justice, I mean it. It was the centerpiece of the room when you walked in and it commanded everyone's attention. It was absolutely stunning.
Not only did Whitney do an amazing job on my wedding cake, she was also wonderful to work with. Very quick to respond to my questions but also kept me in mind to send me inspiration to see if I liked other details of cakes. She also did an amazing job on my daughter's birthday cake :) She is the sweetest person, I didn't feel like she was a vendor but a friend. I can remember her giving me a big hug on my wedding day and it meant so much to me. Trust me, if you don't want to feel like just another number use Whitney.
Her prices are very reasonable and of course the cake tastes soooo yummy! -

We did our tasting and we could not get over how good the cakes were and what a huge selection we had to choose from! Whitney was so helpful in working out our details and even made great suggestions to help us picking cakes and even where might be a few good places to look for cake stands that were reasonably priced, something she by no means had to do but showed that she truly cared about her clients! Our guests raved about how good our cakes were, telling us they just couldn’t stop themselves from trying a few different types! She even has gluten free options, which was great since we had a few family members with celiac disease and it meant a lot to us to be able to provide them with a cake option that they could enjoy! I would highly recommend using Little Blackbird Bakery for any occasion! -

She really went above and beyond anything I ever asked for to ensure I was happy with every minor detail of my desserts! Everyone was talking for weeks about how much they loved the desserts, and I even had an uncle order cinnamon rolls a few weeks later after we got back from our honeymoon to take to friends of his to share in the tasty delights! She was a dream to work with fro. Start to finish. She answered every off the question I had about how things would work. I will be coming to back to Little Blackbird Bakery for ALL my baking needs! -
Kenli Sent on 11/09/2017Whitney was an absolute dream to work with. She took my vision and made it even more beautiful and perfect than I could have even imagined. When I had originally called her, she mentioned that she was pretty booked that weekend so I could pick my cake up the evening before the wedding which was completely fine (we wanted her to do our cake, so we were willing to do that!), but as the day got closer, she let me know that she made it work to be able to deliver and set it up on our wedding day. Not only is she great at what she does professionally (make cakes!), she goes above and beyond to make everything absolutely perfect and we couldn't have been more thrilled with our cake, cupcakes, and mini bundt cakes. I have been recommending her to people since our first meeting and continue to well after our wedding.

Alyssa Sent on 11/08/2017I was first told about Whitney and Little Blackbird Bakery through a friend. This friend raved about her so I started following her on Facebook. Shortly after, I saw the most heartwarming post. This post talked about how people within the LGBT community often have trouble finding vendors and are turned away all the time. She wanted to let it be known that she supports us and would be a safe haven for those who have experienced this sort of discrimination. I was overjoyed by her compassion and willingness to share her feelings on the matter. And even if you didn't choose to book with her she was willing to help find any other vendors you may need for your big day/special occasion. We had our consultation and upon meeting her and eating the first cupcake I already knew I wasn't leaving without booking her! We chose multiple flavors to try and she threw in some freebies to try as well. We chose a 2 tier nearly naked cake covered in gold foil with 2 different flavors. The bottom tier was lemon and I could literally eat that for every meal it is soooooo good! The top tier was banana cream pie. Whitney showed up and set everything up and staged the cake with beautiful flowers and greenery. I had absolutely no worries about the cake! I sent her pictures of what I wanted and she delivered! She is so kind and caring and always responds so quickly. She is dependable and definitely has a client for life! She has a passion for this and wants to make sure you are happy! You can't go wrong with Little Blackbird Bakery!

Stephanie Sent on 05/25/2018Whitney was so fun to work with and we could not have asked for a better cake!! The samples she gives are more than just bite size so you know what you are getting. We ordered our two tier cake plus three sheet cakes. Everyone at our wedding LOVED the cake and we even ran out of one flavor before the bouquet toss! Everything turned out perfect for our big day and Whitney was an instrumental part of that! She delivered our cake and set everything up for us, so we didn't have to worry about anything! I think we will be using Whitney for any future cake needs, for sure!

Disappointed
Really bummed out with how this cake turned out. Was supposed to be a lightly frosted, mostly naked cake with some gold flakes, and it ended up looking messy and rushed. I had to call several times to get a time setup to meet to pickup the cake, and kept moving times around and not being very responsive. All the communication was initiated on my side. She ended up canceling when we were to meet the night before my big day and showed up an hour after she said she would meet at my parents house. It was after 8pm at night by the time she got to my parents house to drop the cake off. Just unprofessional all around.
The cake tasted good, but that was about it. I was embarrassed to show this off at our wedding. For our wedding cake, I don’t think it was worth the 300 dollars I spend on it and this was supposed to be our special day. It looks rushed and poorly put together. I ordered this cake months ago and I was hoping for a higher standard.
Unfortunately would not recommend this Bakery. -

Haley Sent on 01/26/2018I was told that Little Blackbird Bakery was great for weddings, affordable, great variety, and easy to work with. My experience was anything but that. I called Whitney, the owner, a few times before I ever heard back, which should've been my first sign. I then found her on Facebook, and finally heard back from her. From there we set up a meeting at a coffee shop thirty five minutes from my house. I show up at the agreed upon location and time, and much to my surprise. NO WHITNEY. I called and called, messaged her on Facebook. Nothing. I was feeling frustrated by this point, and she called me a couple days later to apologize and ask for one more chance. I agreed, and we met closer to me this time. She shows up late. I agree to use her, give her half the money, sign all the necessary contracts and so forth. Then it comes to about two weeks before the wedding, and I haven't heard anything from Whitney. I call email, and nothing. Then she says she's on a vacation and won't be able to talk. Fine. I send her the flavors and the type of cake, as we discussed prior, and think I'm set. Then she tries to tell me I owe her late fees and that I never signed the contract. I send her pictures of it and think its settled. Never have I worked with someone so unprofessional and unaccommodating, especially considering what I have been through at this point. I pay for the remainder of the cake, and honestly wasn't expecting a cake on the day of the wedding due to this woman's flakiness. So the cake shows up about 4 hours prior to the ceremony, and looks fine at first glance, after the ceremony, my husband and I go to cut the cake, and its about to fall over its leaning so far to one side. Everyone's comments about the cake were that they were surprised that it was still standing! I shouldn't have ever gone through with this vendor, from the start there were signs, and I ignored them and continued with her. I would like to warn everyone against using Little Blackbird Bakery.
