We absolutely loved everything about Lisa Mims Photography. Lisa was wonderful to work with and always had a smile on her face. When we first worked with her to take our engagement photos, we were both worried because we had never had our picture taken professionally before. However, Lisa put us at ease and made us look fabulous. On the wedding day, Lisa and her assistant had such vision with planning each shot, and our wedding photos look like something straight out of a magazine. Lisa got all of our photos to us within a week for the engagement photos, and within a few weeks for the wedding photos. The speed and quality of her work was outstanding. If we could give a rating higher than 5 stars, we would, and we hope to hire her for all of our big life events in the future. -

Lindsay Sent on 01/07/2018Lisa & her asst. Lindsey were AMAZING & worth every penny!! We had them both for the wedding but just Lisa for the engagement shoot. Lisa is a fun, laidback, helpful, wonderful person. She answered all of our questions and even advised us on wardrobe changes. My now husband was very awkward around the camera at first, but she put him at ease and he actually looked natural in the pictures haha. She really fit our style of candid/natural mixed with some more posed photos. We had an issue with our Save the Date pics because a different photographer didn't direct us/pose us and we had no CLUE what to do; we got 1 good pic out of 150. Lisa would adjust my hair or tell me if something was off with my outfit and had great poses/ideas for us to try.
Lisa & Lindsey were SO flexible on our wedding day. Once I saw the hotel room, I realized it wasn't nice enough to do our getting ready pics in as planned and they totally rolled with a new spot, even though I didn't text them until they were already in the lobby. I felt bad actually, because I was very organized with all of my other vendors and I almost literally threw the rings, invites, etc. at her and ran to get ready. They did a wonderful job with virtually no help from me and got gorgeous photos of everything we wanted.
We got sneak peeks of our photos after each shoot and got access to the full gallery very quickly. They got TONS of wonderful pictures that we're incredibly grateful to have and we were genuinely glad to celebrate with them, not just to have found good photographers.
Lisa's such a sweetheart too. I was unexpectedly left without a coordinator and was struggling with the timeline when Lisa sent me one herself! They captured some amazing moments without being obtrusive, and we feel that having the 2 shooters was well worth it. You won't regret booking her!Lisa Mims Photography's reply:

Caleigh Sent on 01/04/2018Lisa was amazing! Our photos came out so much more beautiful than I ever could have imagined, and she was such a pleasure to work with. It really felt like she cared about us, and about making our day exactly the way we wanted it. I am somewhat clueless when it comes to photos, and Lisa made us feel so comfortable, despite never having had our photo professionally taken before. She worked with us ahead of time to have everything planned out (down to each portrait!) so that we were not stressing at all on our wedding day. She had the plan and told us what to do, and did it as quickly and efficiently as possible so that we could enjoy our wedding. She clearly knows what she's doing - the pictures were stunning. I am still getting compliments on them! In addition to her professionalism and skill, she was so nice and fun to work with, and made an effort to get to know us as a couple. We will definitely be calling her for any future photography that we need! Thanks again, Lisa!

Jenny Sent on 11/19/2017Lisa was phenomenal to work with! We were planning our wedding from out of state and she was so accommodating of our schedule restraints. She even set up a Skype meeting early on so we could just talk and get a feel for each other. We ended up doing our engagement shoot (which was part of the package) only a couple days before the wedding and Lisa was unfazed with the unconventional timeline. She made us both feel at home pretty much immediately and we had no qualms producing genuine emotions and smiles in either our engagement shoot or on our wedding day. Lisa was super responsive to all my questions, no matter how silly. She was also willing to customize a photography package for us at a very reasonable rate so we could have the wedding photos we wanted. We were both so happy with how the photos turned out - she captured the day just perfectly. I only wish there were a couple other family combo photos I had her take but didn't think about til after the fact! I would love to work with Lisa again sometime! She's incredible!

Melissa Sent on 06/15/2017Lisa was an absolute joy to work with!! I think it's very important to connect with your photographer, and Lisa made this so easy. We had a blast shooting our engagement session, which was a great opportunity to get to know her and her style better. She was efficient, but made us feel very relaxed. She was very flexible and able to work in all types of conditions - from raining to super sunny! My husband and I are not necessarily naturals in front of a camera by any means, but Lisa made us feel like we were. She helps with posing and all the details, so you don't have to think - you just get to be in love! Before the wedding, she answered all of my questions and made sure everything was prepared and organized. She sent a timeline of how the day would go and was very open to any and all suggestions. We received our pictures within a month or so (super quickly!!) and not only were they beautiful, there were a TON!! When you book Lisa as your photographer, you won't be disappointed. We love looking back through photos of the best day of our lives and can't imagine anyone but Lisa capturing it! -
User2753468 Sent on 09/03/2016We LOVED working with Lisa. She is very organized, easy to reach and very accommodating. We planned an outdoor wedding and wanted both our engagement and wedding pictures to be outside. Lisa never blinked an eye with this request. She worked with all different kinds of weather issues. We scheduled our engagement pictures on what ended up being one of the coldest Spring mornings. Not wanting us to be uncomfortable, Lisa let us reschedule and opened up time in her schedule. My husband does not like his picture being taken. She made us both feel so comfortable and my husband said he truly enjoyed the session. She was even better at the wedding. Our wedding called for 100% chance of rain but Lisa was able to get the shots we wanted outside and some really great shots in a crowded tent. She kept us on schedule and on time. She fulfilled every picture request we made and helped easily organize our large family for a group picture. She has such a sweet and calming nature and was truly a joy to have around. There were times we forgot she was even taking pictures. We expected a long wait for our picture preview but she had a very quick turnaround. Our guest even mentioned how great and quick our photographer was. We highly recommend using Lisa Mims Photography and look forward to using her in the future! -

Megan Sent on 01/03/2018Lisa did an AMAZING job with outdoor pictures, however I could've been happier with our "getting ready" pictures, dress/accessories/ring pictures and our ceremony pictures (which were all for the most part indoor/staged). I may have had unrealistic expectations though. She was super sweet and professional! She even mailed two thumb drives of our pictures.
