  Lisa is a fantastic photographer and captured everything that my husband and I asked for. In our meeting, Lisa outlined her general procedures for us and asked us what we wanted for our photos. She was extremely accommodating to everything we asked for. Her calm demeanor helped keep the day running smoothly! We have gotten tons of complements about her photos. Lisa made herself very accessible leading up to the wedding and took all of our requests and suggestions seriously. Couples need to make hundreds of decisions leading up to their wedding day.
  Booking Lisa was one of the first decisions we made and it was easily one of the smartest ones we made. Book Lisa and you won't regret it.

  Lisa was a great photographer for our wedding. We knew, working with her, that she was had recently graduated and was not a seasoned highly experienced team of photographers. We were seeking an affordable photographer who would be flexible with their packages due to our tight budget. We had originally eliminated an engagement shoot because of our budget but Lisa did one FOR FREE!
  Due to our long distance planning and issues with weather, we had to cancel and reschedule our engagement shoot three times! She was so accommodating to our situation! We loved our engagement pictures and had so many to choose from. Lisa was very patient with my husband who gets very awkwardly silly and may not listen to directions. She gave us some posing tips while she was shooting which was greatly appreciated. I must say, Lisa also went above and beyond, learning some phrases in Spanish to better communicate with my husband.
  We had originally intended to present Lisa with a shot list for our wedding, something I believe is a common request of photographers to their couples. We had planned to create a list to provide Lisa and her second shooter with to ensure all photos were completed. Unfortunately, we forgot to create one with all of the last minute planning and understand this was why some of our desired photos were not taken. Due to this, we missed a number of key pictures we had intended to alert Lisa we wanted. I do think the photographs that were missed were pretty typical shots one would expect like pictures of the centerpieces, however, I also don't expect Lisa to read my mind. I appreciate all of the time, hard work, and long hours Lisa put in for the photographs for our wedding day.

  My daughter hired Lisa Jacobs Photography for her wedding on June 10, 2017.
  Lisa was hired as a Wedding Photographer with expectations that she knew what needed to be done without requiring constant direction. The bride, the families, the bridal party and guests should not have to direct her as to what pictures need to be taken per a wedding. In my opinion she was inexperienced and unprofessional. When my daughter tried to discuss her concerns per disappointment of certain pictures which were not taken Lisa became extreme defensive and childlike. Again inexperience and unprofessional. This review would not have had to be necessary if Lisa would have acted in a more professional manner per the concerns of the Bride and Groom. When running a business it is important to know how to properly handle customer concerns in a professional manner. Becoming defensive and saying things like “you made me cry and why are you attacking me” then blocking her or ignoring her is not how a true business owner handles things. Lisa did not try to work with her to come to a reasonable understanding and resolution of the issue. If you are looking for a photographer who needs her hand held and be guided thru the entire function, then this is the one. If you are looking for a photographer that knows what to do with little or no direction go elsewhere.

  I was married on June 10th. I had a small bridal party & we both have small families. I had a small wedding reception of less than 70 people.
  
  I had many conversations with Lisa and she made it feel that she was confident that she knew what she was doing as a professional wedding photographer.
  
  I feel that Lisa worked great with myself & my husband & our portraits together are beautifully done.
  
  When it came to doing the bridal party and family portraits Lisa kept asking what I wanted to do next & needed constant direction. I expected Lisa to know what pictures should be taken per a wedding.
  
  Lisa did not take ANY pictures of:
  
  My husband & his father
  My husband & his mother
  My husband with his mother & father
  A group family picture that I am not in
  There is also very few groom family pictures at the reception (almost as if Lisa & her second shooter forgot they were there)
  
  Most of the shots we did get was because myself, family, or bridal party had to ask her to take these specific pictures.
  
  I assumed these were all standard pictures that should have been taken without having to give direction to the photographer.
  
  Lisa also stood directly in front of my mother in law during the entire ceremony, totally blocking her view.
  
  Per my contracted agreement Lisa did get the photos to me within 5 weeks (This was the timeline she gave herself, not my expectation) I felt that the photo edits were rushed. I only received about 400 photos between 2 photographers & 8 hours. About half of the photos are random candid & most of the photos are off center. Many shots are missing because Lisa said that they were not print worthy (I would have liked to have seen those photos).
  I have been photoshopping many photos myself.
  
  When I tried to work with Lisa on a resolution, she became very defensive and childish & told me I was attacking her & to stop writing her.
  
  In my experience with Lisa I feel that she was unprepared, inexperienced & unprofessional.
