After attending a wedding at Lion's Gate, I told my husband that it would be the perfect venue for our daughter's wedding. It is like an enchanted fairy tale land, and it suited her perfectly! Her wedding on October 21, 2023 could not have been more beautiful and perfect. Vicky was a pleasure to work with, and was always easy to get in touch with, knowledgeable, and helpful. The owner was a gracious host. All of the food was outstanding--rehearsal dinner, bride's breakfast, and reception.

We had our wedding on May 30, 2021 at Lion’s Gate Manor and it was better than I could have ever imagined. We first got in contact with Vicky, the venue coordinator, in January of 2020. We didn’t have a set date in mind, so we asked her when the best month would be to have a wedding. She said May, and wow, it did not disappoint! I had my ceremony on the lawn, the cocktail hour on the grove and the reception in pavilion, all surrounded by gorgeous greenery. Vicky was very responsive while we planned and met with us about 2 weeks before the wedding to ensure we would have everything we needed. I was worried about the venue not being ready since they had a wedding the night before, but when I got there at 9am the day of, everything was set up exactly how I envisioned it. Nothing was missed! They had golf carts for my bridal party and elderly guests, parking attendants to make sure everyone knew where to park, and permanent signs to guide guests to the wedding. Overall, I could not recommend Lion’s Gate Manor enough! It was 3 venues in one and every single guest kept telling us how gorgeous the property was.

Lions Gate Manor was the perfect venue for our daughter’s wedding and lived up to all our expectations. The staff is more than accommodating, they make you feel like family. A few of our favorite things about Lions Gate were the incredible amount of beautiful picture perfect photo spots, facilities for the bridal party to get ready were roomy and comfortable, and the charm of the venue. Lions Gate major fulfilled all of our dreams and more! We highly recommend it for any wedding!

Our daughter had originally planned her wedding at a very large venue booked (Due to our massive guest list ) that canceled due to Covid 8 weeks before the wedding. I called the owner of Lionsgate Manor to see if we could book for a small intimate wedding on the original wedding date in hopes of having the full 2nd wedding, or as we are calling it “Affirming the Vows” in November. He could not have been more kind and compassionate. We booked a tour that day and went to view the 6 possible settings on his property. Yes, I said that right- 6! The first is a large elegantly decorated curtained pavilion area with gorgeous stained glass at the ceremony point. This is perfect for large weddings. The 2nd, which our daughter chose, is called The Grove, and it is right in front of a creek. the 3rd is another large area with unique concrete benches and the prettiest waterfall imaginable for the backdrop of your ceremony. 4th is a stepped up area behind the pool with another stained glass background. There is a brick patio area that can be used for dancing or for a small ceremony and lastly the very bright sunroom, which was our back up plan in case of rain. We asked for several accommodations to make her dream wedding, such as bringing in a large hexagonal arch to go at The Grove, golf carts to transport our guests to the area and when I say above the call or requirement- they drove my 89 year old mother all the way to her seat!! The ceremony was everything we dreamed and the reception in the sunroom was cool, comfortable and lovely. It is a one stop shop!! Tim also owns Tim Holmes Catering and look no further for delicious food served warm and efficiently. Also, of all the venues we visited it has the largest and nicest bridal and groomsmen suites. There is not one thing missing you will need. If I were a wedding planner in the Upstate I would take a bride to Lionsgate every time.

We got married 11/28/2020 at Lion's Gate. It is a beautiful venue, perfect for an outdoor wedding. As a tip, if you get married in the fall, make sure to have your ceremony earlier, so you have plenty of time for photos. We got married at 3 pm and were finished by 3:15 pm and had enough light for photos. We had our ceremony at the waterfall and reception at the pavilion and they were both gorgeous. The staff were all fantastic and helpful during the event. The venue is kept very clean and they help with setup and take down of anything you rent through their company. In order to have your wedding through them you must use Holmes Catering. The food is fantastic, and we received multiple compliments. The catering team is punctual, quick to respond, and polite. We used a day of coordinator through this venue. That was the only complaint we have. She was very rude at the rehearsal and the day of the wedding.

All our wedding pictures Are so beautiful because of the backdrop of Lion’s Gate Manor. It’s so green- the most beautiful wedding venue I’ve ever seen! The venue manager, Vicky, is a pleasure to work with. She’s organized and knowledgeable and helpful. The venue owner, Holmes, is accommodating and professional. The lawn was immaculate. There were so many options at this venue of where to have the ceremony and reception. Even the rain plan, which we went with for the reception, was absolutely breathtaking with the green woods under the twinning lights of the pavilion. Our ceremony was held in front of the beautiful waterfall with nice benches for our guests to sit on. I can’t say enough good things about this venue or the people who run this venue. I would absolutely and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful place to host an event.

Lions Gate Manor is by far the most beautiful wedding venue in the Upstate of South Carolina. The thing that set Lions Gate Manor apart from all other venues is the numerous sites to hold the ceremony and reception. Plus, you have the entire venue to take pictures galore! You won't find better landscaping or customer service to ensure that the venue is perfect for your big day. Tim and Vickie are willing to work with your dreams and make them a reality! If you are looking for the perfect outdoor wedding venue, Lions Gate Manor is it!

We had a perfect wedding day at Lion's Gate Manor! Tim and Margi Holmes are the best at what they do. They provide professional services with calm and exquisite service. I cannot say enough about the quality and beauty of this venue!

This venue is magical! Tim and his crew are amazing to work with! The Bride's room is so elegant & spacious (Long mirrors, stools, & private bathroom) and the Groom's room is perfect for the groom and his guys to hang in until the wedding (pool table & TV). The venue has different levels for a spacious reception and various (beautiful) places to have your ceremony. Lion's Gate Manor provides an "outdoor elegance" that I instantly fell in love with!

June 3, 2017 was a glorious day for my daughter and her husband. The Broome/Haloulos wedding was magical. From the moment we walked on the property of Lion's Gate Manor we were taken by the beauty of this venue. The staff was incredible! All of our needs were totally met, and the Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding ran very smoothly. I would highly recommend Lion's Gate Manor. You will be very pleased.

You will not find another venue full of quality, responsiveness, professionalism, value and flexibility than the Lion's Gate Manor. Lion Gate Manor, along with Holmes Catering, always go above and beyond the call to make your event a first class experience! The most beautiful venue I have ever been to. We looked at several other places, but nothing compared to what Lions Gate Manor had to offer. Not only is the house beautiful, but the grounds turn into an enchanted forest, which is exactly what I wanted. The owner and staff went above and beyond what I asked for. If I asked them to do something they did not even thing twice about it. They truly made me feel like any girl should feel on her wedding day and that is a princess. I could never thank them enough for everything they did for me, my family and bridal party. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding venue. Thanks to them I do not have one single regret. They made my vision of my wedding day come true. I could go on and on about how amazing this place is and how you should book this place right away! No doubt if I had to do it all over again Lions Gate Manor would have remained my venue! Thank you for everything!

My daughter and her husband were married at Lions Gate Manor Oct 15, 2016. Mr.Holmes used his many talents and created a beautiful amazing evening that was a dream come true, Everthing was above our expectations The decor that he used with the lights made it appear magical. His staff was very attentive and professional in every way. We could not have picked a more beautiful venue. Also, the food was delicious and arranged so beautifully

This place is awesome and the newest venue around! They have everything you could ever ask for. The land is so beautiful and you have many choices of where the actual ceremony and reception will be located.

This venue is gorgeous and brand new so you will be one of the first people to have your wedding their! We loved ours! The owner is a caterer so he is very experienced with weddings and all kinds of events. You can choose between several places to actually have your ceremony and reception at Lions Gate manor.

We visited nearly every Spartanburg and Greenville venue looking for the right combination of location, scenery, and other options. While it is the newest venue in the Upstate... it is by far the best. We ended up holding our wedding on the brick patio while having the reception on the lower level on the 100 x 30 concrete pad. Most venues have one large room where the event takes place and maybe a side room for the bride to get ready but Lion's Gate had a family room, a room for the bride and her bridesmaids, a groomsmen room, multiple bathrooms, and a kitchenette. This was in addition to the option of holding the reception by the creek, on the brick patio, in the sun room, concrete pad, or by the beautiful pool.

A couple things to note about outdoor venues:

1. Bugs. We were worried about bugs but the owner assured us that the entire property is professionally sprayed every couple of weeks with this new organic mixture. Sure enough, not a bug in sight on our wedding day and no harsh chemicals were used.

2. Rain. About a week before the wedding the weather forecast was calling for rain. The venue's owner worked with us in renting a tent that would be the right size. We opted for the tent with the clear roof and although it ended up not raining, it was beautiful to have a tent that blended in and allowed the guest to look up and see the tree canopy. If you are looking to add a tent, this venue easy accommodates tents of any size.

Overall, Lion's Gate was the perfect place for our wedding with its large oaks, water features, and privacy. It easily accommodated our 215+ guests and all of the pictures look gorgeous with the natural scenery.

Lions gate manor is a perfect wedding venue! We got married this past April and our guests could not stop gushing at how lucky we got with such a beautiful venue! We got married in front of their waterfall and our pictures look wonderful! They go above and beyond for their clients and guests. They were so quick and willing to help with any ideas we had and any little mishaps that came up! I highly recommend you tour this venue if you are getting married in the area! You will love it!

The venue was absolutely gorgeous 10/10 recommend booking a wedding here especially in the fall, did have a few minor issues with the event coordinator, other then that my wedding was perfect.

A dear friend of mine requested an appointment with this vendor and when told that there would be 2 brides, she was immediately discriminated against and the lady cancelled her appointment via text message after hanging up and refused to reschedule another time/date . Very unprofessional and if I could give 0 stars, I would !! DO NOT recommend doing business with people who treat others this way !!
