Wedding Dress Resize

My mother and I went to Lisa to get my dress adjusted. I was actually wearing my mother’s dress. Lisa absolutely jumped on board and made my dress super special! She was very matter of fact about everything and made the process so wonderful. I’m so happy with how it looks and maybe we’ll come back if my daughter decides to wear the dress!!

Extremely Talented Tailor

Lisa is an incredibly talented tailor! I came to her when the tailor I hired had let me down and hadn’t started on my wedding dress with only 16 days left until my wedding. I could not be more grateful to her for taking on my dress with such little time. The day I went to her she began to stitch the dress while I was wearing it and began trimming tulle. She finished my dress in a week. I came in for a fitting and it fit perfectly. She’s an incredible tailor but more than that she’s an incredible person. It was amazing to see her clients coming in to just say hello because they have so much love for her. So if you’re reading this and you’re free, she’s moving her store down the street from its present location on July 7th and her clients are throwing her a grand opening at 10am, please attend and support her. Lisa is truly a special person and very talented at what she does.

If you want to work with an expert, you need to work with Lisa. She knows fashion and she is a phenomenal seamstress. My dress had a lot of really intricate lace from head to toe, so I was really nervous about getting it altered. After Lisa worked on it, you would never even know I had alterations done! Not only did she get my dress to fit perfectly, she even helped me find the right jewelry and undergarments for the dress. She noticed the tiniest details that I wouldn’t have noticed until I was looking at the photos after everything was said and done; I was so appreciative of her attention to detail. The best part is that she is a one stop shop: you can buy your shoes, purse, jewelry, and undergarments all from Lisa! Not only is she so good at what she does, you really can’t beat her prices either. Lisa made me look absolutely perfect for my wedding day! I cannot say enough good things about her. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone, especially for brides!

Lisa is the best. Thanks to her and her professionalism I looked like a movie star at my son's wedding. She did the alterations, helped me to chose the jewelry and under garment. She advice me how and when to send the dress to different state. I received a lots of compliments at the party. And the price was like a half the price I will have to pay for similar dress at the store like Neiman Marcus. I am very thankful to Lisa. I will recommend her to everybody I know. Love you Lisa

Because of Stephanie & Lisa I chose the right dress! Fortunately I didn't need any alterations I took the dress right off the hanger and it fit like a glove! I looked beautiful!. My bridesmaids got their dresses here too! I had 10 girls all DIFFERENT body types and sizes! Their dresses looked like sisterhood of traveling pants!!!! CRAZY! Thank you for making me and my girls look beautiful! A HUGE thank you to Stephanie for coming to my house the day of the wedding and helping me get into my dress! You're the BEST.

Lisa and her staff are true professionals. They are extremely knowledgeable in proper fitting of necessary undergarments and pairing the right garment with the right apparel. Their dress making skills are superior and elite. She can design and craft anything you imagine or desire. My mother was so happy with her cobalt blue dyeable shoes and clutch that matched perfectly to her gown. The shows were elegant and comfortable. The mother of the groom also purchased her shoes and undergarments from Lisa and was extremely pleased as well. As a bride I have been on the hunt for the best of the best this entire past year and I definitely found it at Lisa's. She regards your event as important to her as it is to you. We will forever patronize her for our undergarment and formal attire needs.

This is the last of my four children to get married and I was so pleased with everyone at Lisa's with their help, service, friendliness. Every wedding I received so many compliments on my dress. I've gone there for every wedding and I tell everyone to go there.

Extremely Pleased Bride:

I had my wedding on February 14, 2014 and thanks to the staff at Lingerie and Bridal by Lisa I was a stunning bride. I worked mainly with Joann and Lisa and from day one they were so helpful, attentive and professional. They were very flexible with my and my maid of honor schedules. I bought my dress in June for a July wedding. I searched everywhere for a dress and couldn't find one. Finally after I desperately searched for a dress with no luck I found Lisa's Bridal. The experience was outstanding! Lisa was very kind, professional, and had everything on time. My dress was gorgeous and she captured everything I wanted in the dress. I can't thank Lisa enough for the great job she did.

Lisa, Joanne and the other ladies at Lingerie and Bridal by Lisa are friendly, knowledgeable and their dresses are reasonably priced. Despite my mother's many requests (minimal beading, a-line, straps, matching jacket), Joanne was able to find the perfect dress for her personality and figure. The owner, Lisa, completes all of the alterations herself and does a wonderful job. We were so happy with their service that we went back for their help for the next wedding we attended! I found Lisa's on the Maggie Sottero website as an authorized dealer. My sales associate was Stephanie and she asked me about what I was looking for in a dress and she was very respectful of my budget when picking out dresses - I spotted my dress on the rack and it was slightly above my budget so she recommended trying on the others first. Ultimately I decided on the Camden dress by Maggie Sottero on the rack and Stephanie found several belt options until I found the right one. She also recommended a veil that she purchased as a sample to try on specifically with the dress which was great because it was nice to choose from a narrowed down selection. Lisa took my measurements and recommended the right size to ensure my hips would fit in the dress and she checked to see if I would need extra length since I am tall.

My fittings went really well with Lisa - we scheduled all of the fittings on the calendar upfront. She did a beautiful job taking the dress in - it had lots of lace which I'm sure was complicated. We were able to use the extra lace in the second fitting to get more coverage on the sides since I felt a bit exposed - the dress had low sides and a low back. She also had the right low-back bra on site to try on and purchase during the fittings. I had also considered straps an she got on the phone with Maggie Sottero right away to see if she could get extra fabric if necessary, which was really accommodating. Lisa's store also has other accessories if needed. I had other accessories in mind already, but I did not feel pressure to purchase anything additional. I think there is also a discount available if you choose to get your bridesmaids dresses as well when you purchase your dress there.

I did ask one other store about the price for the same dress for comparison, and the prices were the same so I know it was a good value. Lisa also estimated the fitting costs upfront and kept to this price so there were no surprises.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience working with Lisa and Joann as we found not only my gown, but my mother's dress, mother in-law, and bridesmaids dresses too! Each time we visited, Lisa and Joann always made us feel welcome and took the time to find gowns that fit our style and personality. My mother is very petite and Lisa altered the dress perfectly. Joann worked with me and my MOH to find amazing bridesmaids dresses with the perfect color. My gown was stunning and I still receive compliments about how gorgeous it was. I highly recommend Bridal by Lisa to anyone who is looking for a gown to make their wedding one to never forget!

Lisa did my dress alterations for my brother's wedding in 2008 and I was very pleased with the results and the service. In 2011, I got engaged and went to Lisa for my wedding dress, the mother-of-the-bride dress, and all 7 bridesmaid dresses. We found the most beautiful dresses there and as always I was beyond pleased with the service.
My best friend is now getting married and went straight to Lingerie and Bridal by Lisa for her wedding and bridesmaid dresses. I am in this wedding and pregnant and Lisa has been nothing but wonderful and flexible (even offering last minute alterations should I need them)!
Lingerie and Bridal by Lisa is a fabulous store!!! I would highly recommend it and often do!

If you are looking for a bridal gown, bridesmaid dresses, shoes, undergarments for a special occasion dress, Lingerie by Lisa is the place to go! I highly recommend Lisa because she will tell you exactly what you need and if a dress looks good on you. She is professional, gives her honest opinion and truly cares that you look amazing in your dress. I have been here multiple times and always recommend people to her. She also does her own alterations, which always come out great. Being a bridesmaid in multiple weddings with horror stories of alterations, I can say I truly trust her. She is amazing and her employees are also always very nice, friendly and helpful.

After searching DOZENS of bridal stores in Bergen and Morris Counties, I was compelled to buy at Lisa's by her passion to make me as beautiful and as elegant as possible. I wasn't just going to buy a dress...I was going to buy her expertise in dressing me and advising me so that I would be simply gogeous from head to toe. She looked me up and down, asked a few quesations, and then directed me to the perfect gowns for my body type and personality. She was my Guardian Angel for my son's wedding! She also painstakingly fitted me perfectly, tweaking the dress here and there with her expert seamstress abilities. And she even enhanced the jacket by sewing on extra beading! You CANNOT ask for more than that in service! And her entire staff made me feel like I was "part of the family." And she has EVERYTHING that you would need for a special occasion...shoes, bags, jewelry, undergarments, hair clips...everything. I am now in the process on buying a gown from her for my other son's wedding. I did not go to ANY other bridal shop...I went straight to Lisa's.

I was very pleased with my experience at Lisa's Bridal. I found the perfect dress to wear as a guest at a wedding. Lisa, the owner, was very professional and provided excellent customer service. She did a beautiful job altering my dress. I liked that I was able to buy the shoes, lingerie and accessories all in one store. My associate also bought a dress there and was just as pleased. Ever since my wedding in 2004 I have been returning to and sharing Lingerie and Bridal by Lisa. I have been able to buy undergarments that truly fit my body and make my dresses look perfect. I have purchased the most beautiful Lingerie and robes for special occasions and even several evening gowns over the years. Lisa is a warm, caring and honest person who will make sure you look your absolute BEST for whatever occasion.

I even shared Lisa (and her gift) with my mother who was having trouble finding her perfect wedding dress in PA. Lisa and her team were able to make my mother look and feel wonderful for her wedding day. Thanks to Lisa, we found the most beautiful flower girl's dress for my daughter, the perfect hair accessories and jewelry.

Lingerie and Bridal by Lisa has been there for very special occasions in my life and I truly appreciate all that they do.

It has been a pleasure to purchase my dress from Lisa's store for my son's wedding. I was able to get a lovely dress for an affordable price. Since my dress was bought "off the rack" it required many alterations which Lisa did with professionalism and showed what a great seamstress she is. She was easy to deal with which we deeply appreciated. I would recommend this store to any bride's family.

Lisa is a gem! I had a mastectomy and I wear a prosthesis in my bra. I went to other bridal shops and they all called out the seamstress for a consultation. All they could suggest for me was to cut the bottom of my dress and make wide straps to cover up my bra straps.
I walked into Lisa's shop and she immediately told me that I could wear a strapless gown with no problem. She took a strapless bra and converted it so that my prosthesis would fit in it. She put me in a strapless gown and I began to cry.Lisa believes that every woman should feel beautiful especially at their daughter/son's wedding and she made me feel beautiful!
Lisa gives attention to every detail! When you walk out with your dress you know it will fit perfectly! I am back again to find a dress for my other daughter's wedding. I can't say enough about Lisa and her staff. If you are looking for a bridal shop with people who care this is the place to go. Thank you Lisa from the bottom of my heart!

Lisa and Stephanie were great! Stephanie helped me pick the perfect dress and Lisa's hands are magic! We has some problems with our dresses being shipped by Jordan and they constantly called them to make sure they would be here on time! The delay was not Lisa's fault and she made sure they came in! My advice to anyone is to give yourself as much time as possible when ordering dresses! Better safe than sorry :) :)

Lisa and her team did an amazing job throughout my wedding prep process: from helping me order my dress, suggesting the right veil and crystal head piece, assisting with MOH, MOB, and flower girl dresses.. and even packing my dress to ship to Puerto Rico. I think I already wrote a review but not enough things can be said about Stephanie and Lisa. I looked perfect on the day of my wedding. Everything from the perfect dress to jewelry to under garments. I loved them.

They also dressed my mom and bridesmaids. They were all so beautiful.

I don't know where to even start... The owner of the shop, Lisa is the most talented seamstress and nicest person I have ever, ever met!!!! Through out my whole experience dealing with Lisa I NEVER doubted or second guessed her once!!!! Lisa is the kind of person that really cares about her customers, she is not out to just make money! When my dress came in and I tried it on for the first time Lisa got extremely emotional and I will never ever forget that... She just hugged me and cried! Not only did I get my wedding dress, veil, crinoline, etc at Lisa's shop, it was also where I got all 8 of my bridesmaids dresses and Lisa also dressed basically my whole entire family and more LOL!! My Mom (who has bought 3 dresses from Lingerie and Bridal by Lisa), my two Aunts, my Grandmother, my brother's girlfriend and more!!! I trust Lisa with everything and have even brought other dresses to her to alter for me. I would most def recommend Lisa and her shop to any bride!!! She is just an all round wonderful person and shop to deal with for the most important day in your life!!! :-)

Soon to be brides: go see Stephanie! I absolutely had a vision for my gown, and after looking and trying for those gowns, I came here and tried what I thought I wanted, until Stephanie insisted I try on a dress that I never would have picked. As soon as I saw myself in the mirror, I thought it was impossible that it was me in the mirror. Despite it being a strapless gown which I did not want, with the cap sleeves Stephanie added, the dress was perfect! I still can't believe that I found a dress that was so amazing it even fooled me to believe that my body shape was incredible! Because of Stephanie I had the most incredible bridesmaid dresses and unbelievably coordinating flower girl dress! It was better than I could have ever imagined (which speaks volumes for a girl who always dreamed about her wedding). Don't let the store front fool you; Stephanie is a genius and a God-sent!

Lisa, was an absolute gem. As an "older" bride, she was very responsive to me wherein the traditional bridal shops were not. This meant a lot to me. Secondly, the amount of time she spent with me was wonderful. She did not rush me, was very helpful with suggestions, etc. Most importantly, she did an outstanding job in tailoring the gown for "me". When I tried it on and looked in the mirror --- I actually cried. My husband told me I looked beautiful !! Thank you Lisa.

Lisa was a wonderful helper in helping me with my Wedding Dress!
However, their products were too expensive for the quality they were selling.
It took her awhile to respond to my messages.

I'm stunned by all the 5 stars. oh my... too many complaints, for me as a bride and for my bridesmaids, I can't even name them all. Just know that it's way over priced, the attitudes and hours are ridiculous and they scam you by not ordering the correct measurements in order for you to HAVE TO have alterations. They have Maggie Sottero and G Private Label but so do other stores. I do not recommend this store. The funniest part was when Lisa tried to make it sound like she was doing me a favor by not charging me a shipping fee for wedding gown on top of the other fees she hit me with. Hilarious. DO your bridesmaids a favor and go somewhere else.
