Ruth is such a genuine, sweet and client driven businesswoman. Her girls did a fantastic job helping me and my bridal party look our best for my wedding. I would highly recommend her. Both girls were very good about taking ideas and concepts and making them come to life and even if you wanted additional "tweaking" they were very patient and understanding. November Wedding
Very responsive and excited about the opportunity to make the bride's dream come true!! We set up an appointment to trial makeup. I had a few pictures of ideas and the only guidance I gave was "make my blue eyes be the focus." She accomplished that. We discussed a few small changes for the day of the wedding (like I didn't like mascara on the bottom lashes). I showed her a picture of the hair style. The day of the wedding came and she arrived early and immediately began setting up to deliver her magic. I even sprung adding fresh flowers to my hair and she excitedly stated "Oh that will look beautiful. Let's do it!" She takes pride in her work and wants to deliver the vision in your mind! Amazing work, priced very well, and excited to enhance your natural beauty!!

I booked Lily Flower for my wedding hair and makeup on 12/11/21 and I'm SO happy I did! From the first inquiry they were super quick to respond, answered all my questions and helped me decide on all my hair and makeup styles and needs! Ruth was so great to work with her stylists Marina and Lupe were a dream to have with me on my wedding team! They were super sweet and booked my trial. My bridesmaids, mom, mother in law and myself had our hair & makeup done by Lily Flower, and they did an amazing job! Everyone looked very natural, but still glammed up. I was so impressed with how they were able to work with different skin types & foundations (older, younger, freckles; traditional make-up & airbrush) and still make everyone look like themselves. Everyone's hair was stunning too - the gals were about to replicate all of the Pinterest hairstyles we brought to them. A great fit and so flexible

Ruth and Lupe are amazing!! To begin my wedding journey I scheduled a trial with Ruth about a year before the wedding. I was in a car accident on the way to the trial and Ruth was so caring and considerate. She waited around for me and gave me a moment to relax. I used her and Lupe for my engagement pics a couple months later and it was amazing! They both executed my vision exactly. Ruth made a great timeline for the big day. Ruth is nothing but amazing and exceptional in every way and I was super duper glad she was able to squeeze me in for an appointment at the last minutes!!!! I would greatly recommend her to everyone I know in San Antonio and even to family and friends in Houston who is getting married because there’s no other amazing person in the world they should trust their hair and makeup to on the most important day of their lives. Ruth transformed me into a beautiful swan from a duckling and I received so many compliments from my mom and my in laws- they were picky about my makeup before but Ruth was so so good, they got nothing but good things to say about my makeup and Ruth pampered my skin like no one has ever done before and made all the worries go away and truly made my wedding the best memory of my life. If you’re iffy about hiring other makeup artists, you should go with Lily Flower and Makeup! You would never ever regret that decisions. On top of that, Ruth is friendly and kind and overall, amazing human that is so so rare to find! She understood what I needed for my face and my hair that truly, i didn’t even know it myself. I didn’t even have time for the trial but Ruth worked her magic that I can’t help but marveled at how she transformed me amazingly! I just want to get married again and again just so I can get the pamper treatment from Ruth again. Ruth is amazing at what she does! She did makeup on 3 of my bridesmaids, my Mom (Mother of the Bride) and myself (Bride). I absolutely loved all the looks she did on my girls and myself. The makeup was flawless! My makeup literally lasted the WHOLE day and night. I danced sooo much the night of my wedding and was sweating lol, and not once did I have to re-apply my makeup. Even one of my bridesmaids (who never wears makeup) LOVED her makeup look. She told me whenever she gets married, that she's booking Ruth! :) Ruth is very friendly, personable, and professional. I've never felt so beautiful!
I had the honor of having Ruth do my hair and make-up for my wedding day and I will never be able to thank her enough. I've nevet felt so beautiful before in my life and I am so happy to have felt that way on my wedding day. I don't typically wear a whole lot of make-up but Ruth worked a miracle on my face while still making my skin feel comfortable and natural. I even danced all night and got extremely sweaty but my makeup DID NOT BUDGE. It made me more confident and worry less about my make-up melting away. Then there was my hair. I've always had issues with styling because my hair is a bit on the thinner side and I did not think it would help achieve what I wanted to do with it. Ruth was very helpful and recommended hair extensions to help. She worked the best magic there is to get my hair so perfect. I felt like a fairy princess on the day of my wedding and I would recommend Ruth a thousand times over to help make you feel confident and feel like your most beautiful self on your wedding day like every bride should.

I had Ruth to do make-up and hair. So worth doing the trial run, because I have eczema, and could see how my skin didn't react well with a certain element. On the day of the wedding, we went with a different element of product as spoken before, and it stayed on the WHOLE night, with no reaction. AWESOME! She was so great at keeping calm through the chaos that was going on int he background. She was so reassuring, and made sure to stay on a time schedule. Her and her team member were great at keeping things friendly and professional. I would highly recommend her looking in this department. The look even captured well on photograph. Ruth is amazing! She asked me how I wanted my makeup to look and she did it. I felt like she cared about you as a person and didn’t see you as making money. I wanted a natural look, but I love eye makeup. I showed her a Pinterest picture of eye makeup and she was able to match it. I’ve had issues in the past with eyeshadow creasing on my eyelids, even with primer. I have oily skin. Y’all, it stayed on ALL NIGHT, and no eyeshadow creasing! We had an outdoor wedding in June. I received compliments all night on my makeup, as well as my bridesmaids who decided to have their makeup done. I didn’t want to look like a different person on my wedding day and I looked like myself, while enhancing my best features. I have mild acne and redness, this was also covered up and you couldn’t tell. I also recommend a makeup trial. I’m so thankful I did, because we were able to play around with different colors, eyelash length, etc... and I wasn’t stressed about makeup on my wedding day. I cannot comment on her hair skills, because she didn’t do my hair. However, she did help me with my veil! (My hairstylist already left and I thought we could figure it out. Lol). She went above and beyond! Thank you, Ruth!!!

I cannot say enough GREAT things about Ruth and her team! Ruth was beyond kind and professional every step of the process. She helped me pick the look I wanted for myself, but her and 2 other stylists came to the middle of nowhere for my wedding! Not only did I feel beautiful in every way, she went above and BEYOND in so many ways! My bridesmaids and mother also felt more radiate than at any other time in their life. I doubt any other vendor would send you a personal care package leading up the wedding. Not to mention her own sugar scrub that will have your skin glowing! I needed a last minute make up and hair for my family portrait so I started looking at yelp, google, and facebook for any make up artist in the area. I came across Lily Flower Hair and Makeup on yelp. I looked her up on facebook and started messaging her. She was very responsive and easy to schedule an appointment with. Her make up and hair skills are excellent. I didn't want anything too heavy on my face since I don't wear make up on a daily basis and she fulfilled my wishes. She make me look like a princess.

Ruth is more than amazing! We didn’t do a makeup trial due to time constraints, I was confident she would do a great job (her Instagram pictures speak for themselves). Ruth went above and beyond to make me look gorgeous for my stepdaughter's wedding! She was on time, professional, listened to what I wanted and did just what I asked for. I am so pleased with the excellent hair and makeup services I received from Lily Flower Hair and Makeup! Ruth was so accommodating (I scheduled a last minute appointment one week out). She seemed to genuinely care about making sure I looked flawless for my event. I have had my makeup professionally done before but this has by far been my favorite experience. I looked flawless and my makeup (including lip color after eating and drinking) lasted all day without feeling heavy or caked on. My straight hair does not hold curls but somehow she gave me gorgeous beach waves that did not fall within the first hour like they normally do when I style myself. I highly recommend her services and hope to work with her again in the future.

Okay guys. I was on the hunt for makeup and hair 2 weeks before my wedding. I have little to no knowledge on how to pick out a stylist for these services besides looking at pictures, and I am SO GLAD I found Ruth.
She was able to accommodate my last-minute request. She's more than willing to travel to you, but since San Antonio was basically a "destination wedding" for me, we went to her. When we showed up, she was incredibly friendly and offered us something to drink and a snack. She took her time making sure we were all perfect, offering suggestions for different ages and styles and "look" we were going for. She even put together an emergency touch-up kit from the makeup she used for any last-minute issues!
Off topic but still relevant to her character, I had smooshed chocolate into the hem of my shirt, so I was covered in melted chocolate when I got there. She just handed me one of hers and threw mine in the washer while we got our make-up done. You just don't get that kindness these days, especially among strangers. She goes above and beyond what she needs to do.
Her main specialty is make-up, but she does phenomenal hair, too. We had messier braided hairstyle requests, but I have no doubt she can do way more than that.
Go with this woman. She slays it!

I had a wonderful experience getting my hair and makeup done by Ruth. She is so friendly and professional. I will definitely be using her again for special occasions for my daughters and myself

Old school Hollywood Glam
Very flexible and checked in to touch base multiple times before my big day. They asked questions about the look i wanted to achieve and hit the nail on the head. They even provided an AMAZING home made gift and well wishes in a card. Very sweet/thoughtful. HIGHLY recommend!

So happy with my hair and makeup! It stayed in place and didn't smudge or fall throughout the evening. Will definitely use her again for any other hair or makeup needs!

Watch out - hire elsewhere
I think this company is crooked. They took my wedding deposit in January after my clearly communicating that the amount of wedding services was not defined. They added services to the contract that I had not yet confirmed and when 50+ days out from the wedding I gave them confirmation, they said I could not make changes to the contract and that I would be on the hook for the cash regardless of services being provided. The $250 “deposit” is not a deposit and does not go towards your total cost… it’s just an extra fee they slap on for funzies. Additionally, they demanded a 25% gratuity be paid 1 month prior to services being performed. On top of this, the contract was written TERRIBLY and in no way shape or form protects the client. In fact, it explicitly states that even if they choose not to show up and perform services, the client is on the hook for paying the full amount. To top it all off, I tried to get Ruth (the stylist) on the phone from January to May. She never even attempted a phone call and then upon my canceling her services, though it was ethical to keep my deposit. So, I paid $250 dollars for zero time spent on me and zero customer service provided. Companies that conduct business like this disgust me. There are thousands of other hairstylists that provide wonderful customer service and flexibility, especially for weddings. As we all know, weddings are stressful enough. Go with a hairstylist that understands this, not Ruth, not Lily Flower.
