Hiring Dona was the smartest decision I made for my wedding. We brought her on as our day-of coordinator, and she made both the planning process and the wedding day itself so much easier.
Just to name a few highlights:
- Highly organized and detail-oriented: From our first client call, Dona sent over a thorough questionnaire that captured critical details about our wedding day. Two months before the wedding, she met with us again to walk through key information like our timeline, vendors, rentals, and more. Every tiny detail you might think of - she’s already thought of it, and she’ll remind you of the ones you haven’t. She documented everything and always stayed on top of it, which meant we didn’t have to stress over any logistics on the big day.
- Proactive communication and coordination: We planned our wedding ourselves and worked with multiple vendors. Dona proactively reached out to every one of them, shared the timeline, communicated logistics, and made the coordination on our wedding day completely seamless. Even my hair and makeup artist couldn’t stop raving about how smoothly everything went, thanks to Dona. She was also incredibly responsive to our emails and questions throughout the process.
- Extensive domain knowledge and experience: Whatever the concern or uncertainty, Dona had an answer. For example, we had guests from different countries and were worried about language barriers during speeches and icebreakers. Dona gave us great advice on how to navigate it. She also gave excellent vendor recommendations - I hired both my florist and DJ based on her suggestions, and they delivered exactly what I envisioned.
If you’re a bride who’s worried about things like, who’s going to arrange the welcome table with the welcome sign and guest book you spent hours on, when to usher guests from the ceremony to cocktail hour without it feeling awkward, or how the napkins should be folded or whether the table numbers are actually placed correctly - you should hire Dona.

Dona from Like a Dream Wedding really is like a dream! We hired Dona as our partial wedding planner but she was with us every step of the way for our September 2024 wedding.
She was incredibly knowledgable about the wedding industry, has many great connections and recommendations and she was was very patient, kind, and an absolute joy to work with. She paid such great attention to detail, listened to all of our ideas and brought everything we had imagined to life!
Not only did she keep everything running smoothly, she also went above and beyond to coordinate additional elements such as a Chinese Lion dance and fireworks. We also had many last minute changes and difficulties did come up but her calm demeanor and quick problem solving skills pacified what could have been a stressful experience.
Dona was also very personable and a lot of fun. We had a lot of laughs, it didn't feel like we were working with a vendor. If you're. looking for someone who can handle anything while making your wedding vision a reality, then we highly recommend Dona! -

Dona was attentive, caring, and communicative throughout our planning process. On our wedding day, she made sure everything was seamless, and we truly couldn't have done it without her. From the very beginning, she was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive, taking the time to understand our vision and needs for the big day. Dona was able to capture our vision for a wedding and make it into a reality. She provided all of the vendor options that we needed for our wedding. All of these vendors came together and coordinated them so well that everyone at the wedding had a blast. We are so happy that we had Dona as our wedding planner. We don’t think that anybody else can do this any better.
It was amazing that she was able to juggle multiple weddings on top of taking care of her family at the same time. Dona held guided us from September 2023 to our wedding date. The meetings that we had were perfectly spread out and it helped calm any anxiety. The first meeting that we had, we weren’t sure where to look for any of the vendors. It was pretty much “cold calling” a bunch of people, but you dramatically reduced it down to a few that fit our taste. We were so worried that we would get the wrong person for the high price everyone was asking for, but with her, that became a baseless fear.
Dona answered all of the questions we had for her. The answers were always quick and informative. We were so glad that she accommodated us by using Discord to talk to us. It made things easier when it comes to sharing links and just discussing random things and questions. Knowing us, if everything was through email, those messages would have gotten lost in our inbox.

Dona planned our beautiful lakeside hotel ceremony and reception in May. Since then we have had time to settle in as newlyweds, take our honeymoon, and reflect on the whole wedding experience. It was truly one of the best days of our lives and we continuously receive praise from our guests on how stunning and thoughtfully organized the events of the day were. Dona did an amazing job listening to our vision and preferences. She came up with innovative ideas and applied her expertise to design our perfect day within our budget. I think it isn’t until you have begun the wedding planning process that you realize just how much detail and effort go into creating your special day. It can easily become a stressful experience if you don’t have the right team by your side. Dona guided our entire planning process and connected us to so many incredibly talented and trustworthy vendors. Dona has a genuine passion for the work she does and cares tremendously about her clients wellbeing. When there were bumps in our planning process due to the venue’s errors, Dona was at the forefront of it all and advocated for us every step of the way. Through her sense of humor and positive attitude she reminded us to have fun and enjoy this process which we could not be more thankful for. She made sure to never overwhelm us and approached each phase of the planning process with attainable goals. Her communication skills are magnificent. We felt comfortable to come to her with any questions or concerns we had. She prioritized us by responding to us quickly and always made us feel taken care of. She is kind, compassionate, and always checked in on us to see how we were doing. Where do we begin?! We hired Like A Dream for wedding day-of-coordination, recommended by another coordinator. We chose Dona because she has worked weddings with our cultural backgrounds (Iu Mien and Vietnamese). We didn’t have to explain certain cultural traditions, because she was already familiar and understanding. Not that this was a requirement when we were looking for a coordinator, but when she mentioned she already knew about Iu Mien traditions, we were hooked because it’s such a small ethnic group.
From our first meeting, we instantly clicked with her. We had certain traditions we wanted to do and weren’t sure if it was possible. But she made it happen, despite it being such a jam packed day. Dona is so detail-oriented and always asks the right questions, with a positive attitude and constantly problem solving. She also had a useful list of rental inventory that saved us the trouble of looking for other vendors - we rented table numbers and a fancy bar cart that added extra flair to our reception.
Leading up to the wedding, unfortunate circumstances happened but Dona was able to provide solutions and handle all the communication with vendors seamlessly. Her empathetic presence and lending an ear for us to voice our frustrations was so relieving during our time of stress. Even on the day itself, other unlucky things happened but Dona and Michelle (her assistant) were still able to make the whole day go amazing! Our families were able to rely on them for questions instead of coming to us first, so that we could still enjoy the day.
Dona and her team went above and beyond our expectations - we cannot thank Like A Dream enough! We recommend her to anyone in search of a wedding coordinator and an overall great person. -

We had super short notice (less than 3 months) to plan our wedding, and were also planning a Seattle wedding from NYC, so we didn't have any connections. Working with Dona made the experience super easy. She was always responsive, and had all the contacts we needed to be able to choose from reputable vendors to plan our dream wedding. Dona went above and beyond for us, including hand packing cookies for us after a baker fell through. She also personally has a great catalogue of items like chargers, candles, other small wedding necessities that were super cheap! During vendor meetings Dona was also helpful asking questions we wouldn't have thought of. For her vendor recommendations, Dona takes into consideration your personal wedding ideas, and tailors her recommendations to vendors that she thinks fits your bill to cut down the wide spread browsing phase of vendor selection.

When we were looking for a wedding planner, someone recommended Dona from Like A Dream Weddings as the perfect partner for our wedding—and they were absolutely right. Dona is organized, professional, and incredibly thoughtful. She helped us honor both our Filipino and Korean heritages beautifully, executing a fusion wedding that included a Korean-Christian/Filipino-Catholic ceremony, a Korean tea ceremony, and the Filipino money dance. Dona managed each of these ceremonies and events seamlessly.
Dona also handled the dynamics between family, friends, and vendors with grace and exceptional communication. Every vendor, especially those who traveled from out of town, felt respected and informed, allowing the day to flow smoothly and with minimal confusion. Dona’s attentiveness extended to our guests as well, particularly those who needed personal accommodations. Many guests approached us to express how welcomed and cared for they felt thanks to Dona. In Dona We Trust!
My fiance (now husband) and I hired Like a Dream Weddings for full planning service for our 2024 wedding. We cannot overstate how amazing it was to have Dona lead of our vendor team! From start to finish, she went above and beyond in planning and designing our wedding, making it a truly beautiful experience. Every detail was beautifully thought out and flawlessly executed, bringing our vision to life in ways we couldn’t have imagined. Dona has an incredible eye for design and is a wizard with a Cricut; she made sure that each element felt elegant but still personal and unique to us.
Not only did Dona handle all the logistics and vendor communications leading up to the day, but she was constantly a calming, reassuring presence throughout the whole planning process. Whenever challenges came up, Dona tackled them with grace and creativity. After our photography & videography team canceled on us ONE MONTH prior to our wedding, Dona kept us calm while she found us both another photographer and videographer within a week that absolutely exceeded our expectations. Because of moments like this where she demonstrated her skill and professionalism in handling anything unexpected that came our way, our wedding motto of "In Dona We Trust" was born.

Everyone is raving about Dona
I decided to hire Dona after 2 of my friends worked with her as their planner and raved about how awesome she is. I was fortunte enough to attend the weddings of those 2 friends and witness the quality of Dona's service prior to making the decision to hire her. I was able to see how well Dona takes care of her bride and groom on the day of the wedding and ran the entire event seamlessly behind the scenes. This was clearly evident through my friends' testimonials because they had nothing but praises for Dona. I had asked several of my friends for recs on a planner and no one had emphaszied how much they love their planner and gave STRONG recommendations like these friends did. After working with Dona myself, I couldn't agree more with them. It is so visible that her absolute priority is to ensure you don't worry about a single thing and have the best time at your wedding - and my husband and I did just that. One of the many things I was impressed with was when Dona prepared every one of my bridesmaids before they walked down the aisle, making sure they were holding the bouquet correctly and adjusting the angles as needed. Watching that, my florist said to me, "There is literally no other planner that does that. Dona is the best." Dona is genuinely such a kind-hearted person. I don't think anyone could regret working with her. Her ability to execute the wedding plan flawlessly is definitely a bonus, but you really can't beat someone that is simply delightful to work with because she cares for you and wants to connect with you on a personal level while making your dream wedding come true. There are not enough positive things to say about Dona! She is amazing! I highly recommend using her as your wedding coordinator! Not only does she go above and beyond, but she also shows that she cares about you as a couple and wants the best for your day!
Dona is constantly communicating with you during the months/weeks/days leading up to your wedding and she always makes sure that everything is taken care of! We had a bit of an issue with ordering the correct linens and she immediately was able to problem solve to get us some! She also meets with you leading up to the day and asks such important questions that you may not have thought of! By the time our wedding day rolled around, I was so calm because I knew we were in the best hands!
We had some hiccups throughout the wedding day, but my husband and I had no clue they were taking place because of how amazing Dona was! Dona, you are truly soooo good at what you do! Two of my favorite memories of our day include Dona, because she is seriously always there to make sure you are good! My husband ripped his pants, and she was there with her emergency kit ready to help! We also signed our marriage license wrong and she was there to make us laugh it off!
We are seriously sad that our day is over and we are no longer working with Dona! We've already decided we will be throwing a 10 year anniversary party and Dona will be our gal again for "VisTEN"!! :) -

My wife and I met with multiple wedding coordinators, but Dona was the only one who made it feel like this was more than just a job for her. And it showed. Dona treated our wedding like it was her own and there were times it felt like she cared more about it than we did. My wife and I could not be more thankful for her constant support and love throughout everything.
She deserves all the praise she gets and we can only pile on the positive feedback. She was insanely attentive, detailed, caring, smart, and just a true pleasure to talk to and work with.
Our wedding day was the least stressful day we've had in recent memory and that seems like crazy thing to say, but it's true because of Dona. We worked with multiple vendors she recommended and had amazing experiences with all of them. She holds herself to an insanely high standard and it is very easy to see as soon as you meet with her.
My wife and I were introduced to Dona through a recommendation from a friend and, after our wedding, we've already connected her with others as well. If you choose to work with her, you'll see why it's so easy to sing her praises. -

Dona truly goes above and beyond for her clients - she really cares about her couples and their experience!
I booked Dona as a day-of coordination for our September 2023 wedding, and I was blown away how Dona’s support went well beyond day-of. Throughout my planning process she asked questions of vendors I didn’t know to ask, she reviewed contracts, coordinated with vendors directly so I didn’t have extra work to worry about, and she had outstanding communication with me.
I promise I mean it when I say, I did not worry about our wedding one bit knowing we had Dona’s support.
On our actually wedding day we had rain, and I of course was trying to hold out as long as possible on making the decision to move our wedding from outdoors to under a tent. At the last minute, the rain made it so we had to move under a tent, and Dona and her assistant Tracy worked so quickly to make everything happen. I can’t sing Dona’s praises enough for this - it MADE our wedding.
For anyone needing coordination and/or planning for their wedding, you MUST work with Dona!

We are so grateful that we hired Dona as our wedding Day of Coordinator! Highly recommend working with Dona!
For us we already had couple vendors (such as florist, photographer..etc) hired for our wedding and was in search for a day of coordinator for our wedding, and when we talked with Dona for the first time on a video call, she was so knowledgable about the whole wedding culture and was familiar with many of the vendors we already hired as well as the venue! Not only was she professional, but she was so considerate, thoughtful, and for sure fun to work with. Leading up to the wedding, there were so many things I (as a bride) was confused, nervous, and mostly stressed about; but every time I connected with Dona I felt so much peace since she gave me so much guidance and assurance that I was on the right track. To be honest, although we hired her for only the Day of Coordinator she was so much more involved and was so responsive to our concerns that made us feel more confident. Also, she was excellent in communicating with all the other vendors and the venue team so that we were all on the same page since wedding for sure is a teamwork!
I also want to mention during our wedding day, it honestly was so chaotic and went by super fast, but Dona really cared for us by giving us water during our photo session, taking us aside after the ceremony so that we can have alone time and treat ourselves with finger foods, constantly reminding us to have fun and not worry, supporting not only us (the bride and groom) but our parents which was super sweet. That day would not have been possible without Dona and we are above and beyond grateful for that day. So many of our guests complimented that day telling us they had so much fun and that it was one of the best weddings they've been to!
All in all, thank you so much Dona for all your hard work, supporting kind heart, and sharing our most special day with us!

Best Wedding Ever!
I wish I could give Dona 10 stars instead of 5 because that is what she deserves. I am beyond grateful for the incredible support and expertise provided by Dona. I felt as if she was my mother- who genuinely cared and wanted me to have the best wedding ever.
Before the wedding, Dona constantly reached out to us, responded to all of our emails/texts very quickly, gave us many tips for the wedding, and made sure all the vendors and everything else were on the same page. She was also very flexible to all the changes I wanted to make, even the day before the wedding!
On the day of our wedding, Dona’s priority was to ensure that WE were having fun. Because she took care of everything that was going on behind the scenes, my husband and I were able to truly focus on ourselves and enjoy the wedding. The wedding ran very smoothly and I got so many compliments from our guests that the wedding was very organized and detailed - all thanks to Dona!
When the wedding was over, Dona made sure our guests were taking the party favors and gathered all of our stuff and put them in our hotel room. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding coordinator. Thank you so much for everything Dona! Working with Dona was truly like a dream! We had put off hiring a coordinator until we were only a month out from our wedding date, but her and her team really worked their magic. The weather even threw us all a curve ball and we had to move our ceremony indoors but everything was coordinated so well it looked like it was always meant to be that way. I love how she prioritized us enjoying the day and not stressing about timelines while still making sure everything ran smoothly. We had a truly magical night and gained a dear friend. I can’t sing her praises enough. If you’re shopping around for a planner/coordinator stop and book Dona now! You’ll be so glad you did! -

Every step of the way with you
The first time I met Dona was through FaceTime and within the first 10 minutes of talking, she was the one that I trusted.
With my wedding being the busiest season and also re-scheduled weddings from the pandemic. She was very communicative through email or text anytime through out the day to make me feel stress free. She went above and beyond for what I could ever ask for.
Being on a budget bride and trying to do a lot of DIY for my wedding, She helped and guided my vision and also gave me advice of how I could re-use some props from the ceremony to the reception like the center piece flowers. She provided vases and helped me find flowers for them as well.
When it came to the day off, it was the sunny and perfect of how I wanted the day to be. Till this day, I still remember every moment of my special day.
Dona will be there with you every step of the way! She is the most amazing and caring coordinator. -

I honestly could not have asked for a better planner/day of coordinator than Dona. I met Dona through my small business and instagram. She was a loyal follower and supporter of me and my small business and from being a perfect stranger, she quickly transitioned to someone I saw as a big sister. When I got engaged, I knew that I wouldn't be able to survive without a coordinator and knew right away that I wanted to ask Dona because I knew that she would do her best to ensure that her "little sis" wedding was the best it can be and that she did.
From being there for me to vent to when I was stressed, to helping me talk to vendors, to executing day of and taking care of the full set up and break down, Dona was there for me every step of the way. Big 300+ Vietnamese weddings are not easy and my family can be a little wild, but she embraced it with open arms and with a willingness to learn all the traditional elements that came with a Vietnamese wedding.
Dona treats her clients just like family and genuinely cares about more then just coordinating your big day... she cares for YOU.

We booked Dona as DOC for our wedding originally scheduled in 2020 summer, but had to postpone a year due to the pandemic. Dona worked with us for one and a half years and I can say that she's definitely gone above and beyond as a wedding DOC. Dona is thoughtful, sweet, and experienced. When we told her that we wanted to reschedule our wedding, she was not only flexible but also gave us advice on how to handle all the details about the wedding rescheduling. She was also great in reminding us to complete different planning tasks at the right timing along the way to really keep us on track. We were so glad that on the wedding day, we could just totally focus on the wedding and enjoy it because Dona was on top of everything: handling the deliveries, guiding guests, decorating the welcome table (she really has a good eye!), and more. As a DIY bride, I made many mistakes and if it was not for Dona my wedding day could literally have not happened. Not only is she super creative and artistic, Dona is insanely organized, detailed oriented, and professional. She scheduled meetings with us to ensure we felt good about all the details and continued to check in which helped me feel supported throughout one of the most stressful times during the wedding planning process. I didn't think I could be more wowed to be honest because she was just truly amazing throughout the planning process but the day of the wedding was better than I imagined. Dona and Olivia came with in-ears, ready for the day with the most professional support that I ever saw. She was able to make everything look so amazing with the boxes of my chaotic mess. My Pinterest boards and what I had envisioned in my head was put into realty though her thoughtful process. I was 100% stress-free during the wedding knowing that Dona was out there to ensure everything ran smoothly. I am truly grateful for her support and genuinely thankful for the friendship earned at the end of it all.

You NEED Like a Dream Weddings!!!
I have been dreaming about my wedding since I was a little girl, to say that Dona cared about every little detail being perfect and special (just as much as I did) is an understatement. It's a very big thing to trust someone to help us plan the most important day of our lives and my husband and I couldn't have been happier with Dona. The guests had so much fun all my engaged friends were asking me for her number at the end of the night, which I continue to give happily to anyone planning a wedding! Dona said from the very beginning that her main goal was that I wasn't stressed about anything on the day and only focused on enjoying myself - and that's exactly what happened. Even though we were all biting our nails planning during covid (AND a heat wave to top it off) Dona remained calm and so organized. When I woke up on the morning of my wedding I realized there were no more questions to ask, no more emails to send, no more concerns. Dona had it all taken care of thanks to her hard work, I was able to just grab a mimosa and start getting ready. It was such a special day from start to finish and she was so intuitive to mine and my husband's needs, guiding us along through the best day of our lives. I truly cannot thank her enough for the love and care she put into a day that was so important to everyone we hold close! We were laughing and smiling through the whole experience and I never once had a single worry. I cannot recommend her more for any bride or groom who wants to just enjoy themselves and soak up such an important, beautiful moment! -

Couldn't have pulled this wedding off without Dona!!!!
Planning a wedding is no easy feat, and every wedding involves hundreds of moving parts and micro decisions that need to be planned and executed correctly. If your wedding takes place at a typical venue that comes with all bells and whistles, it may be easier than most!
Ours, however, was not a typical wedding venue. We chose to get married on a hillside at a Botanical Garden that was being rebuilt after a fire burned most of it down. Essentially, it was a flat piece of land with the most amazing view of our city. We thought it was a great idea! Were we a bit naive? Yes. All the amenities a wedding venue might offer, ours did not. Bathrooms? Nope. Sound system. Nope. Lighting? Nope. Parking? Nope. Tables and chairs? Nope. Electricity?? Nope. A basic campsite would have more amenities than the location we chose!
You can imagine how many more moving parts our wedding had because of our venue choice.
My husband and I are NOT Type-A planners and probably should never have chosen such a challenging venue. We might actually just be the type to do a small city hall wedding or even elope! But we stumbled across our venue and immediately had a vision of being in a simple outdoor space, dining al fresco, and dancing while the sun set... and with that dreamy notion in mind, put down the deposit and decided to go for it. WELL....thank God we hired Dona. Looking back, there's just no way we could have done this without someone on our team who is not only this Type-A planning expert, but someone who was really invested in the success of our event and just as important, making sure the wedding reflected us as a couple.
Dona is simply a rockstar planner and day-of coordinator. She kept steady contact with us for months prior and helped us immensely with our planning especially as she saw towards the weeks up to my wedding I was really cracking under the pressure. She made sure to check in with us and follow up so that no details of our big day were left to chance. She reached out to all of our vendors as we secured them, to introduce herself and build a repertoire so the day of communication would be smooth and effortless. She did a venue walk through with us even though she doesn't live in our state, and went over placement and layout (remember our venue is one flat piece of open land). We definitely leaned on her for help way past the scope of what she was hired for- and she was always there without a complaint. Calm, cool, collected, funny. Assertive with vendors when required. Always relieving pressure for us.
On the day of, when some challenges came about, she was there in the trenches troubleshooting and problem solving for us every step of the way, without - and this is really important - without me, the bride, ever knowing anything was going wrong at all. Having spent months planning our day to the best of my ability, I'm so grateful that no matter what happened to go wrong (floral arrangements kept getting knocked down because the wind was so strong, the servers I hired almost didn't show, rental company brought the wrong furniture, the sound system my husband rented wouldn't work) - Dona made sure that not only did the troubles not ever reach me, she took care of it all.
To me (and to many of our guests) the day was absolutely perfect. By the time our ceremony came around, the winds had died down. The view was just as spectacular as we knew it would be. After the ceremony, Dona made sure we had a few intimate moments to ourselves (so appreciated!!). We got to sip on champagne and nibble on chocolates as we signed our marriage license. During dinner, she made sure to have a plate of food ready for us and brought us drinks so we didn't have to get up from our sweetheart table. There were many times throughout the day that she created these little pockets of time where we could just enjoy our day versus worrying about the logistics.
All of my family and bridal party commented to me about how Dona did such a great job, but I did most of the planning for my wedding so I know it more than anyone. Your wedding may not be as complicated as mine was- I hope it isn't, haha! Just know that even if your wedding seems simple- you will want someone in your corner that has proven themselves more than capable of leading the show and handling any mishaps that will happen on your big day. Dona is 100% that someone! -

I absolutely loved working with Donna to plan my dream wedding. I live with my husband Tyler in San Diego and at first it was more than a little stressful to organize the event from two states away. Once we had Donna onboard the momentum shifted and I felt so much more at ease. She helped organize our vendors, had great ideas about decor, kept the event on track and suggested smart solutions for the wedding arch we wanted for our big day. She was extremely professional and so easy to talk to. She kept our wedding planning on track in the month leading up to the event and was a calm, supportive and genuinely happy presence at the rehearsal dinner and day of. She helped set up all the decor, kept our timeline, made sure we had photos with all our relatives, and even asked the DJ to turn the music down when the ambiance wasn't quite right. She even made sure my husband and had a few moments alone after the ceremony to breath, collect ourselves, and celebrate privately together. This woman knows weddings and will go above and beyond to find out what is important to you and make sure that your day super special and stress free. -

Invaluable for our big day!
Dona was so helpful for our big day by going above and beyond every step of the way! We expected her to just help with the day-of activities but she guided us every step of the way and took initiative, reaching out to all our vendors in advance and organizing the entire schedule; keeping everyone on the same page. She was vital to our rehearsal and lead everyone through the steps, including our officiant. The day of our wedding she was an angel and kept my wife happy and in charge throughout the night. I was so happy with how our wedding turned out and Dona played such a huge role in making that happen. She was definitely the most helpful person we hired and I would recommend her to anyone.
