I don't even know where to start with Mike. He was such an amazing vendor and dj from the moment we first spoke at our initial consultation. He was so patient with us during our engagement and really listened to what we wanted. He even went out of his way to find a percussionist to play along with him since we wanted a live musician as well. He killed it at our reception and even got there that morning to mic up people who were in the ceremony. He was so passionate and detailed. Our wedding ended up being about an hour behind schedule, so Mike had to combine the "early night dancing" with the "late night dancing" and he did a phenomenal job mixing the two to where all ages loved it! I couldn't recommend Mike more. He was just so patient, caring, and passionate. Everything you want in a vendor working the day of your wedding, he was just easy, and I knew he had everything under control! -

We hired Mike as our DJ/MC for the wedding and he was awesome! He worked with us from day one to understand what we want and was very accommodating. On the day of, he showed up early and brought all kinds of top notch equipments. He made our day SO Much fun and we danced all night! He even got my family to dance, which I thought was impossible since they never danced at any party I've been to. Mike knew how to read the audience and made sure to keep the dance floor packed and we all had such a good time. I highly recommend him and also the photo booth service that he offers. -

Great DJ, would HIGHLY recommend!
My husband and I met Mike at a bridal show and that day we decided we had to have him! We do not regret it! We got his top package and it was so reasonably priced! He played music for everyone, he was super friendly, and he kept the party going! I can honestly say I was surprised as to how many people were on the dance floor the whole time! He worked really well with my other vendors too to keep the day running smooth!
We got married June 15 and we are still getting compliments on how awesome our DJ was! I would highly recommend and I hope I attend other events where he is the DJ because I know it will be the best time! -

Aaammmaaazzziiinnnggg! Mike rocked the house!
First off, I’m the mother of the bride, I planned the entire event!! I stressed over having the best DJ for our daughters wedding reception! After we spoke with Mike, we knew their reception was going to be amazing! My daughter had a very few songs she wanted played and then we gave Mike full reign to play to the crowd!! He did just that and more! Needless to say, once the music started, we did not sit down!! The dance floor stayed hoppin’! Song after song was a hit!!! Mike also did the Ceremony portion as well, He was wonderful at fading out the music to fit our needs! I can’t say enough how impressed I am with Lightwave entertainment (Mike Ballard)! Can’t wait to host our next event with him!! Thanks so much!!! -

My fiancé & I loved working with Mike!! He worked with our wedding budget & needs, was very easy to communicate with & extremely professional. He even was able to get the shy part of my family to get up & party! He was fun & kept the mood light and fun!

We were looking for a DJ with versatile music tastes and a light system that put others to shame... we absolutely found that with Mike. First off, Mike's total rates are substantially less than his competitors (yes, you should do your research and compare prices). However, his more affordable rate did not mean he cut corners.
I love music and had a very specific playlist from which I wanted Mike to play. He was eager to discuss the flow both in-person and over the phone. He asked the right questions and made sure everything was ready for the ceremony + reception.
Your DJ also doubles as the emcee for the event - you don't want someone cheesy. Mike did a fantastic job segueing the entire reception. The dance portion was out of this world. Guests from all ages came to the dance floor to enjoy the music and lights - there was no one left at the tables when he started playing.
I would choose Mike all over again, A+.
