Amaaaazing!

Paul was so wonderful to work with. He’s done lots of weddings, so he gave us an idea of the timeline (we had no idea where to start) and he kept everyone entertained! He can definitely read the room and played all the hits! He also periodically checked in with us to ask for adjustments and ideas to keep things running smoothly. Could not recommend him enough!!

We had the best experience with Lightning Sound!! Booked very last minute and they gladly took on the gig. They were so helpful through the entire process, had a fantastic computer program for music, thought of things I would have definitely forgotten about, and dealt with the craziness of the day so calmly.

The Best DJ Experience EVER!

From the moment that I met Paul at a wedding expo, I knew that he was supposed to be our DJ for our wedding. His personality was incredible and his packages were not only affordable but professional! He met with us, even with our two active kiddos, in his beautiful home and went over the packages and the website. He showed us how to use the website to help plan our music and even the wedding as a whole! When I had any questions or concerns he and his wife took care of it and were such dolls about even the most last minute changes that I had. We met with him in person again and went over the final timeline, song options and every little detail. Then the wedding day arrived and he was just phenomenal with everything! He made sure I had everything the way that I wanted, gave me cues as to what the next step in the reception was, did a beautiful job on my monogram, and the photo booth was a huge hit!! I %1000 recommend Lightning Sound for every occasion!

I have never met a more kindhearted or considerate DJ until Mr Paul was hired! He accommodates your needs to the iota, arrives on time, and thinks of the smallest details. Don't hire a day-of-coordinator because he also helps with keeping your wedding on track and takes care of you! Thank you so much sir!!!

Wedding DJ

I can not recommend Paul enough to be your wedding DJ! We had no idea what we were doing or how much went into planning the ceremony and reception music. Paul was so kind and walked us through everything we could ever need. He helped us brainstorm ideas and went over the smallest details to make sure he had everything perfect! We had so many of our guests tell us after the wedding how fun he was and how it was one of the best receptions they had ever been to! If you need a DJ Paul is the way to go!

Lightning Sound Mobile DJ (AKA Paul) was incredible!! From our first meeting, we could tell that Paul had our best interest in mind. He is extremely thorough and organized. His planning software was so easy to use and very helpful to get an overall sense of planning our wedding. We really appreciated how easy it was to communicate with Paul. All of his add-ons were so unique and everyone who uses him can find something special they like. All equipment was top of the line and he even has an entire backup! I can't recommend Lightning Sound Mobile DJ enough!

Amazing Wedding!

Lightning Sound was the perfect vendor to handle our special day, the level of professionalism from Debbie and Paul was truly amazing. There was not a single detail overlooked or unaccounted for by either of them during our entire process. All of the BTS planning for uplighting, music choices, our timeline, etc was effortless all because of how amazingly organized they are!

We were due to be married in the fall of 2021 but I had contacted Paul and Debbie regarding available 2020 dates and they were available on my dream date/holiday, Halloween! Needless to say we moved our wedding up an entire year and we had 2.5 months to plan everything.

During our process I decided to add in a few extras including a monogram, flash mob, surprise costume change/blindfold dance, a guest performer, and a few dedication songs.. Needless to say all of my expectations were surpassed and everything turned out PERFECTLY, even better than I imagined. My husband and I were able to handle all of our music choices through their online portal which made it easy to handle if we were on-the-go! Three weeks before our big day, Paul and I had a meeting over the phone to discuss the timeline, his insight and recommendations were very helpful. Unless I asked for his input, he never pushed his opinions on me without hearing what my vision was first. This was definitely a majorly highlight of the entire planning process!

We used their “Dancing on a Cloud” and “Cold Spark” features in addition to their monogram service, uplighting, and ceremony and reception music! The DOAC was a night touch for our first dance, flash mob, blindfold dance and garter removal. The Cold Spark was great for our entrance, first dance, flash mob, blindfold dance and garter removal also!

By the end of the night almost every guest was complimenting how beautiful the night was from beginning to end, but our biggest compliment was on our DJ and all of the amazing features they offered. When I tell you their extra features make a difference, I mean it. It takes the entire guest experience to the next level and you definitely will not regret your decision!

Fantastic DJ!

Paul and Debbie did an amazing job! They had great suggestions for music selections, were fun to work with and are extremely professional. Paul was also a great help with wedding coordinating stuff as well. Debbie did a great job on the Photo Booth and our guests had a great time with it. We had a couple guests ask for their info at the reception! 100% recommend them to anyone and would love to work with them again!

Paul and Debby are the best. From the beginning until the wedding day they were tentative, answered all emails / questions, and even met not once but 2 times per their recommendation to get everything as set and organized as we could. His website set up allows for hour by hour planning, song setting, and so much more. I didn’t have to worry about the music or timeline ever. The night of he was awesome, interacted with the guests and made sure everything was so smooth! I highly recommend Paul for your big day!

Changed my view of DJ's and Lighting for the better!

Paul was awesome!!!! Choosing a set list for our wedding was daunting and he helped us pick out the perfect songs. Many people stayed until the very end because the music and atmosphere that Paul created was just such fun. Not only did he DJ and MC, he provided the up-lighting and WOW what a difference it made. I wasn't going to do up-lighting at first but once he showed me how it could totally change the look I was sold and I don''t regret anything. I used to think it wasn't necessary to hire a DJ or do up-lighting but honestly now I see it as a wedding staple. Paul and Debbie were so wonderful to work with. He was professional, friendly, kept us in the loop the whole night, and guided our wedding perfectly. I highly recommend him to anyone.

Well executed!

EVERYTHING WAS LOVELY! Uplighting was and should be a must. It made the room feel perfect. Sound was done inside and outside and sounded great. The photo booth was a great idea and needs to be at any event or group gathering.

I cannot recommend Lightning Sound enough.

Prior to our wedding we met with Paul twice--once as a consult and once more to finalize details. We were given the chance to make our own playlist, which was very important to us as we are Christians and only wanted clean music (no cursing or sex/drugs/rock&roll references). Paul was extremely accommodating, and he definitely upheld his promise to us. Throughout the entire process it was very apparent that he wanted to make our reception into everything we dreamed it to be. He also took great care to learn how to pronounce all the names of our family/wedding party, and this was no small task as I am Samoan and my husband is Sicilian--needless to say, we have very difficult names in our families. He did great--said them all perfectly. We also had a "dry" reception (no alcohol), so there were concerns that people might not be as uninhibited on the dance floor. However, this simply was not the case. Paul was highly entertaining, kept everyone engaged, picked great songs, made everything flow smoothly and there was a huge crowd on the dance floor the whole night. Now, we may be a little biased, but we've never had more fun at a wedding reception. Period. We will always remember how much fun we had with our family & friends during our reception. Thank you Paul & Debbie for everything!!!

Paul and Debbie were so nice from the beginning! They met with us twice to go over plans and to make sure we really got the wedding that we wanted. He set up both indoor and outdoor equipment, provided dry ice fog to bring a romantic magic for our first dance to and special lighting throughout the ceremony to create a perfect ambience for the evening. He handled all the announcements, guest movement (from ceremony to reception, to the buffet, etc) with professionalism and humor, even handling a few minor hiccups that could have become bigger issues. He may not be the youngest, hippest DJ around, but guests from young to old really enjoyed the entire party!

Paul was very professional during both of our planning meetings, as well as the ceremony. He went above and beyond by helping us plan out our timeline beforehand and by keeping us on track time-wise during the ceremony. He was true to his word on getting full participation in our important dances. He showed up early to get his equipment set up. The uplighting he used really transformed the venue and gave it a romantic glow. We also got to custom design our monogram. The fog on the first dance really wowed our guests and brought the first dance to a whole new level. The photo booth was a big hit with our guests, everyone had a great time taking silly photos.

Paul and his wife were amazing. We had them DJ our wedding at La Bella Vista and they did a great job of getting people out on the dance floor. Their website allows you to customize individual songs for each event which made the planning process extremely easy. We also had the photo booth and our guests loved it. Overall they did an amazing job at our wedding.

Paul was great! My guests were very complimentary of both him and the photo booth. I was only going to do dance floor lighting and was very happy he suggested the room lighting too - it created the perfect atmosphere. The timelines and website were a great guide and helped keep my others vendors on the same page on how I expected the night to flow. The music links didn't work for me, but Paul made himself available with our crazy schedules (we work pretty late) to go over any detail we wanted. They were extremely patient with any last minute changes and happy to accommodate. He thought of things I wouldn't have and made sure everything ran smoothly.

The Photobooth was definitely worth it. Its large enough to fit handicapped people or very large groups. The curtains can open in different areas if needed- photo bomb. We did the used props and it was worth it! There were so many things to choose from and they were in great condition. Debbie was awesome with all my guests and my book was filled. I even received a disc after in the mail!

I did not use the DJ service only the photo booth. The photo booth was set up on time and there were no issues with the equipment. There was always a staff member on scene. The kids had a great time taking pictures and it was big enough to have a group of people take a photo together. Every body in the party loved the photo booth and had a great time.

Paul actually provided our photo booth and I don't see it listed here...anyway, he was WONDERFUL! My bridesmaids purchased this as a gift for me but, forgot the props. He came in a few minutes before the wedding and told me all the props were set up because he wanted me to have a wonderful wedding! Then, he was there to tell me when it was time to walk down the isle. When it was time for dinner, he took my plate to the table for me. At the end of the night, he came over to tell me which guests/family members to have come into the booth to get our pictures with so that we wouldn't be disappointed later on. Everyone raved weeks later about how terrific he was both professionally and personality wise! I would recommend this company to EVERYONE!

Everything about Paul was fantastic. Our guests loved everything about him. He was more helpful then the dining room manager at the venue. He basically walked us through everything, and offered advice to help make our wedding run smoothly. He was very knowledgeable about music, and knew what music to play for the type of guests we had.

I used the DJ & Photo Booth services. They were great, friendly and easy to work with. I especially want to note how great they were to deal with after my venue suddenly went out of business and I had to switch venues! I was freaking out but they were very nice, and worked with me on my venue switch. On my wedding day, they were phenomenal and really made the day go great! The photo booth is fully wheelchair accessible- an important detail for my family! (And the guestbook turned out SO great!)

Hiring Paul to be our DJ was one of the best decisions that we made for our 9/13/13 wedding. He was organized, professional, fun and easy to work with. He responded to emails and requests right away and made suggestions for things that we were unsure of. During the ceremony he played all of the songs we wanted, none of the ones we didn't and kept people on the dance floor all night. He also took the time to make sure that my husband and I sat and ate our dinner while keeping us on schedule for the whole night. The photo booth he recommended was a HUGE hit. I can't recommend this vendor enough. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat.

Paul was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we met with him, we felt comfortable and confident that he was the DJ for us. He wanted to make sure that things went the way we wanted them to be. His website was extremely helpful and very easy to use to help us plan. He had excellent song selection. He was a great MC. On top of all that, he checked on little details throughout the day so that we didn't have to think about them. He even came over to us when our food was being served and told us to sit down and eat. He helped the day run so smoothly! We could not be happier with Paul's service and would recommend him to anyone!

You were the best part of our wedding! Our guests loves the dj and how he was so involved in our wedding. I think everyone's favorite part was also playing in the photobooth! I would reccomendend you to anyone having an event! I know whenever we need a dj we will always choose you! Paul was great! He had high quality sound equipment, not just the basic DJ system. He was able to play the music at a lower level and have it still be heard clearly. We provided him a list of songs we would like him to play and he was able to accommodate most of them.

We also rented the photo booth which was a great hit with the guests and almost everyone used it. They got to keep one copy and we received a photo album with a second copy of all the photos.

He was very professional and made sure everything went smoothly. It was a great night!

We decided on a photobooth last minute and I am do glad we did! They were flexible and accommodating. The guests loved it!

Paul was an unbelievable quality of DJ for the value of his service. Highly recommended! He even noticed when I tried to make my way toward the ladies' room at one point during my evening and got swamped by guests wanting to chat -- he very politely interrupted with a 'question for me' so that I could run to the ladies' for 2 mins.! How thoughtful!

The best DJ to get the crowd moving!! I was nervous when choosing vendors, being this my first wedding and all, I wanted everything to be perfect. My mother had Paul as her DJ for her wedding, and he was great. So naturally I needed him for mine. He did a wonderful job. The entire wedding flowed very nicely thanks to him. He is very organized, thorough, professional, and very pleasant to work with. We would recommend him to anyone!!

I'd honestly have to say Paul made my wedding one of the best weddings most of our guests had ever attended. The DJing was spectacular and the photobooth was a huge hit especially with of all the crazy hats! Paul also made me feel as relaxed as possible when it came to the schedule of events and I never felt rushed which made the day so spectacular. I would highly recommend Lightning Sound to anyone looking for a DJ or photobooth. I truly believe the DJ can make or break a party and Paul surely made my wedding day the perfect party of a lifetime!

Paul was an amazing DJ. We had a lot of fun. He really cared for us and brought our food over and made sure we were okay. He also did a great job on the songs. People had a blast. If you ever get him, tell him to do the Chicken dance. It was such a hit at our wedding, he does it so amazingly and he brings everyone out to do it. I would recommend them anyday.

Thank you again to Paul for an incredible wedding night!! He was prompt on answering all of our questions along the way! He sat down with us and explained all of the intricate details of the evening that we had not even thought about!! On the day of, he was on time, did a great job getting the crowd involved, had fun with the family and friends and everyone had a blast!! Thank you again!!

Paul and Debbie were a saving grace! After a vendor falling through, they had our date available and offered a great photo booth, clean and fun props, and great personalities for an amazing price. I am so thankful for their help and very happy with our decision to use them for our wedding.

Paul's services came highly recommended from multiple friends whose weddings I attended. I was impressed with Paul's skills at my friend’s weddings and was eager to have him MC/DJ at my wedding.

Quality of service:
Paul’s equipment is Bose and seemed to be very high end. His presentation is outstanding with regards to equipment looks and attire. I do have issues with the quality of the services I received. We hired Paul to setup music outside for pre ceremony, mic the officiant, setup a mic for my wife and I to speak our vows to the crowd, and to MC/DJ the reception. The mic for my wife and I speak our vows to the crowd did not work. My family let me know that they could not here our vows… -1. During the reception, there was a 5 second period where extremely loud feedback surged through the hall which instantly disturbed all guests. The hall went from happy/excited to dead silent and concerned. Lastly, some of his speakers were crackling/popping during the reception and did so for minutes on end. So much so that I asked Paul to fix the issue. I don’t really care what the issue was but I expected near perfection and believed Paul would deliver. Paul delivered sub-par services. C

Responsiveness:
Paul‘s responses to email were within 2-4 days of receiving them. I am satisfied with his responsiveness. B

Professionalism:
Paul was extremely professional in all interactions. A+

Value:
To be fair, I did not research other DJs. That said, I can’t compare his perceived value to others. For the amount we paid and the services received, the value is 4 stars. B

Flexibility
Paul was extremely flexible with regards to downloading and playing songs that he didn’t have in his stock. He was able to meet with us ad hoc. A+

We found out about lightning sound from 2 friends who had used them for their weddings. We first met with Paul at his home. We were immediately barraged by his dog who jumped all over my husband and I, the DJ did not make any attempt to stop his dog from doing this until almost 5 awkward moments had passed. The couch on which we were asked to sit to discuss the contract was covered in dog hair. The house reeked of dog. This is where he conducts all his business with his clients. Upon our second meeting with Lightning sound, we again met at his house- we spent some time discussing which songs we wanted for the anniversary dance, bouquet toss, etc. Paul was very receptive to our requests. I emphasized the fact that our wedding was to be a classic romantic evening and I did not need much of the traditional “ baseball sports announcer “ bit that you see from many dj’s do at weddings for introductions, announcements, etc. We also had a few songs that Paul did not already have in his music library. At this final meeting he told us that because he didn’t have them we would need to purchase them ourselves off Itune or some other music database. After this, we expressed to him that given the amount of money we were paying we expected him to do that for us. After a long reponse time back he emailed us to say he would be able to do it. At the ceremony, our DJ showed up promptly and with all of his equipment. On the same token, he appeared very sloppily garbed, sweating profusely and on top of that, the mic for my husband and I set up by Paul to speak our vows to our family and friends did not work.. Our vows fell on deaf ears due to his malfunctioning equipment. My parents sitting in the first row said they could barely hear me, my husband realizing the mic was not working spoke loudly so that all could hear but this shouldn’t have been his burden to bear. The rest of our family and friends on both sides later let us know that they could not hear our vows either. 2B continued
