First I have to say this review is long overdue. Thank you so much, Scott and April for your help making out wedding day unforgettable!
Life’s Highlights is incredibly talented and we were so thrilled with our photos and video. We knew even before our first meeting we wanted to work with them, as they were the team that captured my brother’s wedding in 2015. After my family saw the finished product we fell in love with their work and I remember my dad saying “When it’s your turn you *need* to call them”.
From the initial consultation to the final delivery of our photos and video, Scott and April were professional, friendly, and never stopped showing us that we made the right decision. We shot our engagement session with April, and when we saw the photos we were ecstatic and knew our wedding photos were going to be fantastic.
Looking back through our wedding photos makes me smile. They absolutely captured our happiness on that day along with all the love we shared between us and our friends and family. Simply put, the pictures were beautiful and will be cherished forever. That said, Scott’s film brought us to tears. It was genuine and artistic and had us reliving all the happy emotions of that day. It makes us so happy that we get to watch the story of our wedding day over and over again.
The best thing about the team is that they are married! That means that they know exactly what to do and when to do it for the “shot”. No awkward anything- they’ve got it down to a science, and it absolutely shows. I cannot stress this enough— My husband and I would sincerely and highly recommend them to any couple looking for photography and cinematography.

One of the best decisions I made for our wedding day was hiring Life’s Highlights for both videography and photography. April and Scott are incredibly kind, easy to talk to, efficient, and clear with their directions. April has a calming presence and expertly manages to scout out the best locations for mesmerizing photos. Each photo captures the emotions so perfectly that you’re transported back to that time and place. Scott works around you and you won’t even know he’s there, but rest assured that he is getting the absolute best shot of you and your spouse! He even had us wear microphone packs to make sure all of our audio was captured. This is so important because you only have one opportunity to get the right shot and you can’t leave anything up to chance! I cannot praise Life’s Highlights enough! They truly are a fantastic team- you will not regret hiring them to capture the special moments in your life! -

We're writing this review 2 years after our wedding because life got crazy BUT our delay is not a reflection on how awesome Scott & April are. We used Life's Highlights for both photography and videography and absolutely love how our photos and video came out. Scott & April were so great to work with from the initial consultation to the wedding day. Communication was top notch. They sent a thorough questionnaire before the wedding which allowed us to communicate what we were looking for in terms of photographs. They were such a warm, calming presence on our wedding day. We cherish our memories from our wedding day and couldn't recommend Life's Highlights more. -

Scott Patterson and Life's Highlights gave us the most incredible gift: the ability to relive our wedding day almost exactly as it happened. They captured our day through video perfectly, getting every special moment, laugh, cry, speech, vow, and dance moves on film.
Most importantly, it was a joy to work with Scott. He was responsive, kind, creative, and made sure to tailor the video to everything we wanted. For the more special of moments, he was so discreet we didn't even know he was there, so you can enjoy every second of your day with that sincere intimacy.
Not only do I recommend everyone hire a videographer for their wedding, but you have to choose Life's Highlights. You won't regret it!! My only regret is we didn't get more time with him and his team :) -

Scott was a breeze to work with. At the beginning of my videographer search, I had a difficult time finding a company that would do both a highlight film, and film the wedding in its entirety (prep, ceremony, speeches, reception, etc). When I first spoke with Scott, he immediately said he could take on the project and scheduled a face time to hash out all of the details. He was incredibly thorough and kind. Communicating with him was easy, and he was always quick to respond. In our last call prior to the wedding, he even took a bit of last minute work off of my hands by offering to relay some details to our photographers. My husband and I are incredibly happy with our reel/video. It feels so personal (Scott used the music selections I asked for) and we have had so much fun reliving the day (via the video) with our friends and family. His edits/transitions on the reel are seamless and he managed to capture the day so perfectly. I would 10/10 recommend Scott - he takes his time, and he listens to what you want. This was surprisingly hard to find in the wedding industry, so it meant so much. The day goes by in such a blur for the bride and groom. There are so many things that I missed on the day of (special details) and Scott knew exactly what to capture so that we could have that experience too. One of the best hires for our wedding! -

Being a wedding planner myself, I had high expectations for my wedding vendors. We hired Scott for videography and he did not disappoint. In fact, we were blown away. The communication leading up until the wedding day was amazing with little tips and reminders, assistance with timeline/logistics and putting up with all my questions. We were just delivered our highlight film and documentary and my husband and I have binge watched it every chance we get. It captures all the emotions and memories of the big day so beautifully and we are so grateful to have this footage to look back on. Best of all, I don’t remember even seeing Scott once on the wedding day. He is so good at what he does, he was able to blend in, catch everything so naturally, and create a wonderful production without having to fake anything in the moment. That is true artistry! -

My husband and I used Scott for our wedding videographer, and he captured our day perfectly. The final product was so well done, high quality footage (loved the drone!!) and immediately brought tears to both our eyes the first time we watched it, and it is a keepsake we will cherish forever. Scott was professional and responsive throughout the whole planning process, and worked hard to incorporate the details we wanted included in our wedding video. The finished product was so easy to download, share, and save. We are so grateful for Life's Highlights and cannot wait to enjoy our wedding video for years to come. -

We hired Life's Highlights for our engagement photos and wedding photos and video. Everything turned out beautifully - we are so in love with our photos! As a bonus, April provided them to us within 3 weeks of our wedding.
Planning a wedding and choosing your vendors is stressful but April and Scott made it easy; we love that they are a husband and wife team who seamlessly worked together in the months leading up to and on the day of our wedding. Scott is a great resource - he was always happy to provide recommendations for other vendors and answer any of our questions. April is the absolute sweetest - she remembers all of the little details like the name of my junior bridesmaid. She made everyone very comfortable and it definitely shows in our photos!
During the entire week leading up to our wedding, the forecast called for thunderstorms and our wedding was scheduled to be held outdoors. During that week, April worked to make us more comfortable - she sent photos of indoor spaces at our venue and helped us think through our options. April and Scott were so flexible - they didn't even find out that we would be able to hold the wedding outdoors until they arrived on the morning of our wedding; but they jumped right in as soon as they arrived.
We highly recommend Life's Highlights and would happily hire them again for future "life's highlights"! -

April and Scott are simply the best. We were having a very hard time finding a photographer, but got a bit of luck when our venue featured photos from Life's Highlights on their social media pages. Once I saw the pictures, I knew this was it. I showed my fiancé immediately and he agreed. I was so happy when I found out they were free on our date and after a quick video chat, the decision was made. And to be honest, hiring Life's Highlights was one of my best wedding planning decisions. They are not only incredibly talented, but they are the nicest people you will ever meet. The photos came out perfect - they are just beautiful. They made to sure to get all the shots we wanted in addition to other great photo ops that they came up with throughout the night. They made sure to get all of the perfect shots without being invasive. All of our friends and family kept telling us that they were the kindest and most professional wedding photographers they have ever encountered. I cannot recommend them enough. They are amazing people and if you hire them, you will have incredibly beautiful photos to remember your special day forever.

It has taken me months to write this review because I have had such a difficult time writing and re-writing to make sure it accurately captures how truly incredible Life's Highlights was for our wedding day. I knew we had to work with Scott and Life's Highlights for our wedding video when I couldn't get through a single video on their website/vimeo without happy crying from how jaw-droppingly beautiful every single video was. We saved and pulled money from other parts of our budget in order to include Scott in our wedding vendor team, and I could not be happier that we did.
On our first call, Scott more than answered all of my questions, thinking through each step along the way. Leading up to the wedding, we received emails each month from Scott and his team with insights to think about, different tidbits from their own wedding, or other ways to make the most of our video. These insights (ranging from encouraging us to write our own vows to remaining authentic to us in our dessert choice) were not only incredibly helpful, but kind and thoughtful, and making me feel calm and confident that our the video would capture all of the months and months of work that had gone into each detail. Ahead of the wedding, we had both written and phone conversations to talk about what was important to us to capture during the day, the moments that we had to have included, the look and feel we wanted from our video, and to talk through all of the logistics of the day.
When it came to day of, Scott made me feel calm and taken care of. He arrived the morning of the wedding mid-breakdown over the flowers showing up in completely the wrong color, 2.5 hours into hair that just wouldn't come together, and the bakery calling to tell me the wrong cake was en route to my wedding. At the peak of my wedding day stress level, Scott gave me the time and space to get things (and myself ) together, instead starting with filming other details. While a few of my vendors made me feel overwhelmed or rushed, Scott was kind and calm. Once the wedding began, I quickly forgot about the mishaps of the morning, and enjoyed the day, with Scott, our photographer, and other vendors faded to the background.
Looking at the videos now, I have no idea how Scott managed to be everywhere at once. He was able to beautifully capture almost every detail of the wedding, all of the guests having fun, and most importantly, the small moments my husband and I, and our families shared on that day. Our friends and family regularly text us to let us know that they decided to rewatch the videos yet again just to relive the day, and tell us how beautiful the videos are. I now look at our video among the videos on their site, and still can't get through a single one without becoming teary, and feel so lucky and happy that we chose Life's Highlights for such an important moment in our lives. Thank you thank you thank you, Scott !

I was completely blown away by our wedding video through Life’s Highlights! Scott did an incredible job and it’s something we’ll cherish for many years to come. From the planning and preparation stage prior to the wedding day, to the actual day itself, Scott was very intentional and efficient with his overall process. It definitely put my mind at ease among the various deadlines I was handling on my end. The end result was the most stunning and personalized video of the best day of our lives! I highly recommend Life’s Highlights to anyone who is looking for a videographer. It was absolutely one of the best wedding planning decisions I made! -

St Pete beach wedding - rain and happy tears
To put it simply – Scott and April are absolutely fantastic. My husband and I had both our engagement pictures and wedding pictures taken by them. April spends quality time getting to know you as a couple and what your expectations are for your big day. Unfortunately, it rained on our wedding day. As I sat in silence disappointed that we wouldn’t get the pictures I’d hoped for, April talked with me and reminded me of the sentiment I shared with her – I wanted to wear the dress, drink champagne and marry the man – everything else would be a bonus. So instead of surrendering to the weather, April insisted we go outside to see if the weather would be calm enough to get a few shots. Thank god for her suggestion because we got some spectacular pictures in between the bands of rain!!! I also wanted to get a group picture of all of our guests. So to kick off the dancing, April corralled everyone onto the dance floor and stood on top of a chair to get the shot. We managed to even get our 90 year old grandmother in the picture and it is hands down a memory to last a lifetime.
In addition to the pictures, Scott’s videography of our day was truly priceless. We purchased the wedding trailer, and I am so thankful we did. They managed to intertwine the most meaningful moments into a 4 minute video, artistically marrying the best parts of our day. The video still brings tears to our eyes, even after watching it for the 100th time. My parents have showed everyone who asks about the wedding the video and the responses are a resounding WOW. I can’t begin to say enough nice things about not only their work but the team in general. I highly recommend using them for your big day! THANK YOU GUYS!!!! – The Cooks

The biggest thing I looked for as a bride was quality and professionalism and Life's Highlights outdid both categories. Meeting with them from day 1 and working through questionnaires was a breeze. I felt comfortable that they understood the vibe/theme of the wedding and what was happening. The day of they were so good at helping put me at ease while still blending seamlessly into the background to capture amazing shots. The final product brought the emotions of that day back to mind and my husband and I were in awe of the videos we received. In one of the videos Scott included an instrumental of a song he heard me mention during my prep time that had a lot of meaning to my mom and I and he included it in the prep video! I was shocked when I watched the final product and heard it!! This team truly pays attention to every detail! I even had co workers who had seen the video tell me they were crying in their cubes! Which means that the video truly captured all the emotion of that day! I am so thrilled with the final videos and I cannot wait to watch them throughout my life! -

Scott and April with Life's Highlights did an absolutely AMAZING job capturing all of the special moments of our wedding day! Not only are our wedding photos so, so beautiful, the professionalism that we received from Scott and April from the moment we first met over Skype (we were a long distance couple, living in Hawaii and getting married in Florida.. yikes!) is unparallel to customer service we received from other vendors.. & while planning a wedding can be stressful enough, it's safe to say that we appreciated this the MOST!
Scott and April, the work that you two do, capturing such beautiful moments, is the most special gift you could have given to our families and to others. We will look back on our wedding photos for years and years to come, remembering these moments with some of the most important family and friends, from all over the country, that we've ever known and loved. Our only regret is that we now live in NC while Life's Highlights is in FL! Thank you both so very much :) -

Nothing less than perfect
You can’t go wrong with Life's Highlights. They were very responsive, professional, and creative throughout the entire wedding planning precessions. We used them for both our engagement and wedding photos and videos. From our enegagement on the beach, to walking down the aisle, to dancing the night away at our reception, they captured it all! The photos turned out so beautiful and natural. I swear they were like ninjas, half the time I didn’t even know they were filming or taking photos. They thought of many different photo ops throughout the night and would steal us away for a few mins to get a few shots. By far one of the best decisions I made while planning our wedding was hiring them! -

Not only were they great to deal with but thier genuine love for what they do shows in the quality of thier work. They answered my millions of questions, were flexible to work with (my church had big restrictions) and after thier arrival I didn't even remember seeing them but maybe 1 other time during the wedding and reception. If you are on the fence about whether or not to get a highlight video, I highly recommend it. They managed to capture the feeling of our wedding and my husband and I couldn't be happier with the highlight video as well as our entire wedding video. We have received so many great compliments on them. Not only do they produce a high quality product but are great people to know! -

I had decided to work with Life's highlights after watching every single one of the highlight videos on their blog. They didn't even compare to any of the other vendors out there. My video turned out better than I could have ever imagined! I got so many compliments that it was the best video they have ever seen!
April, was awesome to work with as well. She took all the formal shots we wanted and more. We didn't even notice her snapping photos throughout the night. The pictures came out great and she was very quick to get them back to us. She worked so hard on all of my album pages and it turned out gorgeous!!
Overall, Life's Highlights is a great team and we were so lucky to have worked with them! Do yourself a favor and go with Life's Highlights!!! -

I find myself at a loss for words when it comes to expressing our gratitude for the service April and Scott of Life's Highlights provided for our wedding day. This husband and wife duo will work exceptionally hard to capture the beauty and love of your special day and it takes my breathe away every time I look at our pictures. In fact, we loved working with these two so much one of the things we said on our honeymoon is that we are sad the wedding is over because we don't get to hang out with Scott and April anymore. Not only are they talented but they help make you feel at ease during one of the most emotional times (at least for me) of your life. They are very professional and one can tell how much they truly enjoy their jobs. They were always upbeat and happy when we saw each other or spoke over the phone. They are open to suggestions for photos or places and really want their clients to be happy. Not only that but they are very efficient and helpful. It was a bit cold and windy while taking formals but April and her team made it as easy and quick as possible. There was even a time when April was wearing my veil because the wind kept blowing it off and there was no where to put it. Those small things really show how this couple will go above and beyond to help your day go as smoothly as planned. We also hired them for videography. It would truly be a mistake not to have Scott document your wedding on video. We had tears in our eyes as we watched the highlight video and tissues in our hands as we watched the DVD of the entire day. Scott has a talent for picking the perfect song to correlate with your theme and picking the perfect moments to showcase. If my review is not enough, April and Scott have my contact information and I will be happy to tell you directly how superb our experience was with Life’s Highlights. Not only are they fantastic photographers, they have such laid-going personalities that they make it easy to relax in front of the camera. Scott shot our engagement shoot and let me tell you.. he can handle any obstacle. So many things went wrong during our shoot; from wardrobe malfunctions to crazy windy weather, but he still managed to get some fantastic photos.
As for our wedding day, we were blessed enough to have both Scott and April there. They were very friendly but also efficient. I thought I was an organized bride, but the many last-minute details that came up made it impossible to have a handle on everything. Thankfully, April was so helpful, she even stepped in and stuck my "I DO" stickers on the bottom of my shoes because I had completely forgotten to and no one else was around to help!
I spend a lot of time.. and I mean A LOT of time researching my vendors (after all, this is a one-time event). After countless hours of comparing different photographers, we chose Life's Highlights and I couldn't be happier with my selection. We received all of our wedding photos only a week after the wedding and they are amazing.

When I met them at their home for a consultation, they’re sweet smiles and friendly personalities made me feel so comfortable. After meeting them and seeing their work, I knew they were the ones for us! All of our photos turned out beautifully! I didn’t know we could look so good. ;) We had our engagement shots and wedding pictures with them. I had the idea of having our pictures in the Bucs stadium, and they helped make that happen. My husband was elated. They helped us set up the timing with the venues for our pictures and took us to fun and beautiful settings. I am incredibly happy with our experience and our pictures and would recommend them in a heartbeat. Our wedding was the one that April was at when she took a high fall injuring herself, which led to her in the hospital. (I’d like to note that she is recovering well. Thank God!) Life’s Highlights did not skip a beat and had other photographers complete our day. Even with April in the hospital for at least a week, we still got our pictures timely and loved them. I’m still working on selecting pictures for our albums, but that’s because I’m indecisive! I’m so happy we choose Life’s Highlights and even happier that April is going to be ok. Their packages are great and the prices are too. They are so easy to work with, and I look forward to hiring them again for family or other event shots. Thank you both so very much!!
