Amazing Venue

We had our wedding at Lewiswood 11/4/23 and it was absolutely amazing!! The venue is so breathtaking and we absolutely loved having our wedding in front of the waterfall. Working with Ms. Debra is a dream. She honestly feels like family! I would recommend this venue to anyone that wants to make their day special. We are so thankful we chose this venue, it will forever be special to us!🩷

My Special Day

I hardly leave reviews, however we could not have asked for a better wedding venue experience. The vendor responded in a timely and professional manner every step of the way and was always very understanding throughout the planning process. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful and truly more than a bride could dream of. The staff were amazing, incredibly helpful, and made everything feel smooth and stress-free. We are so grateful for the wonderful service and unforgettable experience they provided on such a special day.

the PERFECT venue

Our wedding venue was nothing short of incredible. This was the first venue my husband and I toured, and from the moment we walked in, we were completely taken by the atmosphere. The barn aesthetic created such a warm, intimate, and stylish setting, and the waterfall added a truly unique and elegant touch that made the entire space feel magical. We didn’t tour any other venue because we knew this was the place! What made the experience even more special was Deb. She was kind, attentive, and genuinely invested. Every detail of the venue contributed to an unforgettable experience, and we received so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful everything was. If you’re looking for a place that combines character, elegance, and exceptional service, this is it. We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect setting for our wedding.

The best venue by far!

Our wedding at Lewiswood Farm was truly everything we dreamed of and more. From the moment we first visited, we knew this venue was something special. The property is absolutely breathtaking—beautifully maintained with a natural, romantic charm that made the perfect backdrop for our big day.

What really made Lewiswood Farm stand out, though, was the experience. The team was incredibly helpful, responsive, and genuinely cared about making our wedding perfect. Every detail was handled with such professionalism and kindness, which made the entire planning process feel so much less stressful.

On the wedding day itself, everything flowed seamlessly. The ceremony space was stunning, the reception area was warm and inviting, and our guests are still talking about how gorgeous everything was. The atmosphere had that perfect mix of elegance and relaxed, rustic beauty that made the day feel so personal and unforgettable.

The Perfect Venue

Our wedding weekend at this venue was absolutely wonderful. The space was beautiful, and Debra was incredibly kind and helpful as we coordinated multiple events on the property. Everything ran smoothly, and we felt fully supported the entire time.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience or a prettier event space. Highly recommend!

A Wonderful Wedding at Lewiswood farm, May 10th 2025

When we were searching for the perfect wedding venue in Tallahassee, Florida, we knew that Lewiswood Farm was the one. Located about 25 minutes outside of downtown Tallahassee, this venue sits on a stunning property surrounded by nature.

The beautiful cabins for both the bride and groom parties made it incredibly convenient to get ready on site. We also loved that Lewiswood Farm offered multiple ceremony and reception locations—an important factor for us since our wedding took place in May, when the weather can be unpredictable.

We chose the breathtaking man-made rock waterfall for our ceremony and held our reception in the spacious, air-conditioned barn. Fortunately, we had perfect weather, but it was comforting to know there was a great indoor option available if needed.

The barn easily accommodated all of our guests, with plenty of room for tables, décor, a buffet, DJ, and bar—plus lots of space for dancing! Lewiswood Farm also offers a variety of add-ons to further enhance the venue.

Finally, we can’t say enough good things about Debra, who was incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process. Thanks to her and the Lewiswood Farm team, we had the most amazing and unforgettable wedding day imaginable.

Absolute Best!

This was the most beautiful venue and Mrs. Debra was the absolute sweetest. My brain was mush and I had no idea what I was doing when it came to planning and she was so patient with me. Words can’t explain how grateful we are. I loved the bridal suite and the groomsmen had a tv in theirs so they didn’t have to miss out on football. Thank you for making our day so special!

My dream wedding 4.5.25

Lewiswood farm is a gorgeous rustic venue. There are several locations on site that you can get married at but we choose to have the ceremony at the waterfall. The barn was the perfect space for our 150 people reception. It has AC, a beautiful bridal suite, a cute groom suite and a great kitchen prep area. Debra is very responsive and easy to communicate with. They have additional rentals that you may want. It was my dream wedding and I couldn’t imagine it being any better.

Excellent Venue!

Such a unique venue for any event. Owners have created an amazing event space and provide incredible service. Every step of planning is handled with professionalism. We have attended weddings and other events at this venue as well as hosted an event this year. Highly recommend the venue!

The best place for a wedding

I was referred to Lewiswood Farm by a mutual friend and im so glad I was. This place is absolutely beautiful, several spots to have your ceremony and a wonderful barn to have your reception. The owner is wonderful, she stayed in touch throughout the entire process and helped us with whatever we needed. Very professional 👏.

Lewiswood wedding

We knew Lewiswood was our wedding venue from our first tour. Working with Debra was amazing and she truly helped make the day perfect! You truly feel like you are in a different place when you are Lewiswood. We never wanted to leave! Lewiswood is a little slice of heaven and I’m so lucky we got married there. Best. Day. Ever.

If you’re looking for your best day ever also I couldn’t recommend Lewiswood Farm enough. The owner Debra is very responsive and thorough to be as helpful as she can possibly be. My vendors even commented on how much they loved this venue. I’m getting my pictures back from the photographer now and I’m even more in awe of the beauty of this location.

Lewiswood Farm

On Saturday 2/3/2024 my husband & I were blessed to get married at such a beautiful venue! Lewiswood Farm is a stunning venue and so many options for ceremony spots. We chose to hold our ceremony in front of the waterfall feature! Such a neat idea. Deborah was so accommodating and made sure we were accounted for. There is bridal suite & also a men’s suite for both parties to get ready. The barn is GORGEOUS & is large enough for whatever your needs may be. I cannot rave on this venue enough! Thanks to Deborah & her well maintained venue we were able to be married at a special place!

Best private farm setting in Tallahassee

Lewiswood Farm continues to expand their offerings and they are always adding new features to the venue site. In addition to the big beautiful barn, waterfall wedding site, stunning wooden arbor, patio, bridal suite and acres upon acres of green space, we were pleasantly surprised to see a new area for the groomsmen to hang out and get ready in. The venue offers everything you need and more for an incredible Tallahassee wedding.

Wedding Coordinator

Lewiswood Farm is a beautiful venue, inside and out. I had the pleasure of getting to work three weddings here this Fall, and each wedding started and ended perfectly, due to the excellent accommodations of this venue. Great experience

We had to reschedule due to a pregnancy and my husband having stroke at 38. They were accommodating. Though we didn’t get a Saturday wedding, we were allowed to change our contract from a popular date in March, to a beautiful Sunday in November. The owners are great to work with, the price is very fair for everything included.

Perfect venue!!

What sold us on Lewiswood were the deer. The first time we were going to the venue to be with a Bunch of deer cross right in front of us. on our wedding day there were deer everywhere and it couldn’t have been more perfect weather wise, location wise and views!

Best Venue EVER

Lewiswood Farm is the most BEAUTIFUL wedding venue we have ever been to, and we went to a lot trying to find the perfect place to get married. My husband and I got married at Lewiswood Farm on October 1st 2022 and it was by far the most magical day of our lives. Not only is the venue breath taking but Debra and her husband were an absolute delight to work with. Debra helped me stay calm and not panic when everyone around me was terrified of the hurricane that was thought to be coming our way. I texted Debra many times and she was always quick to respond and so helpful. I would recommend Lewiswood Farm to everyone I know for every event type. Our family and friends have said several times that our wedding was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to. Thank you so much Debra for making that possible!

Amazing venue

Lewiswood Farm was AMAZING and PERFECT for our wedding day! We were a COVID wedding that got rescheduled 3 times. I called Lewiswood just 5 months before the wedding because my original venue was still closed. Debra emailed me back the same day I contacted her and got me in that week to view the venue. I fell in love and signed the next day! Debra was fantastic on making sure everything was on time and as planned. She answered my countless emails and phone calls. The Barn is absolutely magical for the reception. The waterfall where we had the ceremony was breathtaking. I continue to get comments on how beautiful the wedding, venue, and waterfall were. Debra helped bring this 3 year wait of our special day to life, FINALLY. Thank you Lewiswood!

Our dream venue!

If you are considering any venue, this should be top of your list!
It was perfect for what we wanted and the Lewiswood staff were so kind, patient and helpful regarding our big day. You can see the effort and passion they have, the grounds are always kept clean and beautiful, and the barn was beyond perfection. Mrs. Deborah was an amazing resource helping us navigate through weather changes and overall supportive of helping to ensure our day was everything we wished for.

Absolutely Beautiful

Lewiswood Farm is one of the most stunning places we toured when deciding on a venue for our wedding. Not only is it in the best location, but it is also the most intimate settings you will find in this area. Not to mention how kind and accommodating Debra is. She helped us through our wedding postponement and made sure our day remained special. This venue is perfect for even a small wedding (we had 50 guests); the scenery makes everything so magical. We couldn't have chosen a better venue!

Beautiful and Perfect Wedding Venue

Lewiswood Farm has everything you could want! They have a bride's room ready for the entire bridal party to get hair and makeup done there with plenty of hooks for robes/dresses and a curtain to provide a reveal to your girls. They have several outdoor and indoor ceremony options. It is beautiful and rustic and is the perfect venue if you are looking for a barn. They even have a rock waterfall! The owners are wonderful and so helpful. I asked to show different out of town family members the venue multiple times and it never seemed to bother them. Truly great people to work with! There was no better venue for our wedding!

We loved the venue

We loved the venue it was very beautiful. It would be great if there was an ice maker and a place for the groomsmen to get ready.
The price to do rehearsal dinner there is an extra add on so weigh that in your options

Made our happily ever after!

We knew as soon as we drove up to Lewiswood that it would be our venue for our dream wedding! Debra and her husband were so personal and treated us like family! They were super flexible about using their barn! The bridal sweet was a dream and picture perfect, and the barn was the perfect mix of elegant and rustic!

Love this venue!

I couldn’t say a bad thing about this venue or the owners! Such a BEAUTIFUL venue and such genuine owners that run the place. We had originally booked with a diffrent wedding venue and when that one closed down we were frantic and so upset looking for a new location to move our wedding which was a month or two out. Debra went above and beyond to help us and accommodate us and ended up meeting us that day to show us the venue!
We were set the second we walked into the beautiful barn. We loved the place more then our original venue!!
Hands down best experience and our wedding was so beautiful!!! Book here you won’t regret it:)

Beautiful Venue!

We loved everything about Lewiswood! Mrs. Debra and her husband were super nice and very helpful! It was the perfect venue and the barn is absolutely gorgeous! I definitely recommend Lewiswood!

Beautiful venue, and great people to work with!

We LOVED having our wedding reception at Lewiswood Farm! Debra was amazing to work with and so helpful and sweet to work with. The venue is gorgeous. We loved how it is tucked away out of the city with lots of land. It is so peaceful with so much natural beauty. It is obvious that the owners love this place and take such good care of it and of their clients! A lot of our guests told us after the wedding how cool they thought the venue was. We also loved the indoor/outdoor flow. The patio is great, but there is plenty of room inside too!

We also loved their getting-ready room for the bride and bridesmaids. It's perfect with tons out mirrors and outlets and a private bathroom apart from what the guests use.

Wedding Venue

What a beautiful place to have a wedding! Debra and her husband has made the perfect place to get married, from the barn, the green pastures even now to the waterfall! The brides boutique for getting ready was excellent and even and outdoor happy hour. I was able to rent table, chairs and benches from the same venue which was very convenient!

Most beautiful wedding venue!

We are SO pleased that we chose Lewiswood Farm for our wedding day! Mrs. Debra was excellent to work with and made the planning process rather easy. We had so many options of where to get married at on the property, but the natural beauty of the trees and the barn stole our hearts! The barn is so beautiful and easy to fall in love with. The trees where we had our ceremony was perfect for the sunny day. It provided just the right amount of shade and breeze. The bridal suite, despite being a little small for our HUGE bridal party was so intimate, relaxing, and beautiful! We truly could not have picked a better venue to get married at! It was the best day ever!

Perfect venue for a perfect day

I cannot imagine having had our wedding anywhere else. Lewiswood Farm was absolutely the perfect venue for us as it totally fit the vibe for the wedding that we wanted which was relaxed but upscale. We only looked at two other venues before settling on this one. When we visited, we instantly knew it was the place for us. Debra was amazing to work with- super responsive, easy going, and thoughtful. You can tell that Debra and John really love what they do and it shows in the quality of the venue and service. We opted to include the bonfire and our guests loved it! I am so thankful that Debra and John have created such a special place for couples like us to celebrate their marriage with family and friends. It truly was the perfect venue for us inside and out. I would 100% recommend Lewiswood Farm to any couple looking for a unique, classy, and comfortable venue!

Amazing venue!!

Lewiswood Farm is an absolutely amazing venue! They are awesome to work with and will make your special day Perfect!!! The venue is beautiful for a wedding or any kind of event!! We originally planned our ceremony outside and reception inside the barn however the weather had different plans so we did the ceremony inside and it was beyond perfect and turned out so great!!! Breathtaking, comfortable, personal farmhouse experience.

We got married this past Saturday at Lewiswood Farm and let me tell you, it was a night to remember. This beautiful property is located on the outskirts of Tallahassee in an elegant little piece of true rustic Florida.

Debra and John really have put so much heart and soul into this venue. From the majestic, hand-cut barn to the characteristic landscaping, decorated “outhouses” and beautiful bridal suite, all of the touches of this place make it such an elegant spot to celebrate.

We had SO many compliments on the venue and we knew we picked the right place when she told us the price was much less than other farm/plantation style venues in Thomasville and other outlying areas and this one is much closer to town. Debra even personalized a sweet ornament with our names and date on it, a thoughtful touch that really moved me on such a hectic night.

Thank you Debra and John for the BEST night of our lives. My parents loved y’all and we felt so special celebrating in your family farm. I found myself wanting to go back today to soak more of it in because the day went by so fast. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.

Hurricane Michael

Lewiswood went above and beyond to make sure that my wedding day would happen. Just 3 days after Hurricane Michael, they managed to clean up the venue and keep in touch with me, letting me know that everything would be fine and to not stress out. The day of my wedding was absolutely beautiful and I am eternally grateful for everything they did!

The barn was perfect for our wedding. We had the ceremony outdoors and the reception inside, the barn is large enough to host a ceremony inside.

The owner was very understanding of how many times I wanted to view the ceremony and reception area before our wedding date and very flexible with meeting times. The venue is beautiful inside and out! I barely had to do any decorations because I loved the natural rustic look the barn already had to it.

It is so easy to work with a vendor when they are truly passionate about what they do, and share in the excitement of your day. Debra is 100% that person.

Debra was the most accessible, easy to work with, and creative person. She was always willing to set time so I could visit the venue and picture everything. Even though the venue is already drop dead gorgeous, Debra is 100% committed to making it even better every day. At the time of booking, we were just expecting the barn venue. In the time between of booking and the day of, a cozy bridal suite had been perfected, ample space for our caterers provided, and a charming bell tower put in, as well.

Whether you hold your ceremony outside or inside, Debra is going to make your day absolutely perfect. This place is rustic elegance at its absolute BEST. Our day was a vision. We originally wanted our ceremony outside, but the weather pushed the ceremony inside, and I am SO happy it did. This place is gorgeous from the inside out, and I cannot wait to see how Debra grows and makes Lewiswood an even more special venue.

Debra and John were such delights to work with! They are both down to earth people that take great pride in the venue. Debra gave us the grand tour, along with giving us the history of how the barn eventually turned in a wedding venue. She was never pushy about getting us to use Lewiswood, but I knew after seeing the beautiful barn and how much room their was, I had to use them! There are so many great places you can set us for your wedding. I chose to do my grand entrance coming out of the BEAUTIFUL barn doors. If you're looking for a venue that has rustic charm, this is your place. It's budget friendly, they have tables, chairs, benches, etc that you can rent through them so you don't need to hire another company. Debra is easily accessible both on your wedding day and leading up to help answer any last minute questions that come up.

Just a random side note, brides-if you choose to rent the wood benches from Debra and John, make sure you have some man power there to help unload and move them around. I was one of those advantageous brides who "didn't need a man to help her!" I ate those words later on and ended up calling in reinforcements to help move the benches to where I wanted them.
My family and I are extremely glad we chose to use Lewiswood Farm as our wedding venue.

Debra was the absolute best! We loved everything about the property and barn; the venue was perfect! Mrs. Debra was extremely accommodating and thoughtful. My husband and I were not from Tallahassee, but we decided to get married there since our families were from different parts of the state. Mrs. Debra was so accommodating and generous with her time as she met with us late at night when we traveled all the way there. She was also very responsive with emails and calls! She also met with our caterer to ensure a smooth process on our wedding day. They also have a bridal suite now that is super cute, I attached a photo of my bridesmaids getting ready in the bridal suite. There were 10 people getting ready in there so it was a tight squeeze when photographers and family members came in but the mirror wall and separate bathroom were perfect! If you can't tell enough by the pictures, this was such a beautiful place! We highly recommend this venue!

I just had my wedding at Lewiswood Farm and I highly recommend this venue! The barn is huge and absolutely gorgeous. All of my wedding guests commented on how beautiful this venue is. Mrs. Debora has tables, chairs, and benches that you can rent straight from her; all at good and comparable prices. It makes it very convenient to have that all in one place and to not have to go through separate vendors. When I first signed my contract for the venue back in January, there was no bridal suite for us to get ready in (since they had only just started having weddings there).To my surprise, they added on a bridal suite later on and it was ready just in time for my wedding. Mrs. Debora and her husband are both very accommodating and helpful. Mrs. Debora was always quick to answer any questions I had and she is the sweetest! This venue was my dream venue and I am beyond happy that I had my wedding here!

Deborah, the owner, was SO helpful and accommodating. She was flexible and let us come out to survey the property multiple times, during all hours to, make sure everything was perfect for the reception. She even let us use her Gator to transport people from the parking area to the front door of the barn. She's constantly adding and improving this newer venue to make it the best option for events in Tallahassee. Beautiful property, beautiful barn, wonderful vendors! 100% recommend.

If you're looking to have a country rustic wedding, than this is the place for you!!! Mr & Mrs. Lewis, are very understanding, and helpful with any little thing you need!
The barn, to the NEW bridal room, to the scenery it all sits on, is BREATH TAKING!!!! They've put SO much into this place, you'll LOVE every inch of it!!!!
My husband and I are very pleased, and will be directing each couple we know to this venue!!!

The Lewiswood Farm is absolutely breathtaking! The details of the barn from the inside out are stunning, even the bathrooms have their own perfect design. You tell a lot of hard work went into making this venue perfect. The barn is spacious with plenty of parking and offers all the amenities you may need. To top it off the owners are fantastic to work with, I would highly recommend this venue for any event!

Lewiswood Farm was an outstanding venue for our wedding. The setting was exactly what we wanted. It provided a wonderful space that is well cared for and well designed. It also provided the intimacy that we wanted for our family to share in our wedding day. We honestly could not have selected a better venue. The Lewis family was incredibly helpful and gracious. They were flexible and helpful. We cannot think of a better place for a wedding!

I would highly recommed Lewiswood Farm for your special occasion. The venue is absolutely beautiful. The grounds offer lovely views of the sweeping lawn, trees as well as the occasional deer and turkey. Debra Lewis is a joy to work with, helpful in every aspect.

There are not enough amazing words in the world to describe our experience. Mr. And Mrs. Lewis are the most wonderful people to deal with and their barn is simply breathtaking. Both, Mr. And Mrs. Lewis take such pride in their venue, it reaks with personal touches and detail. Our guests were blown away by the natural beauty of their property and barn! If you're looking for the perfect venue, look no further <3 If I could do my wedding all over again, even a million times, I would choose Lewiswood Farm each and every time. By far the prettiest place to get married, so blessed we got to experience our wedding here. Debra and john Allen are so great to work with. Would highly recommend this barn to anyone looking for a beautiful wedding!

Absolutely charming environment for a wedding. There is plenty of space and room for any kind of venue presentation that you want to include in your special day. The story behind the facility is interesting as well. I would highly recommend this facility.

Lewiswood Farms was the perfect venue for our BIG day. From the detailed woodwork within the barn to the wonderful owners that we had the pleasure of working directly with I couldn't have pictured a more beautiful event space. I would recommend this venue to anyone for any type of event.

Wedding and Reception

Debbie was awesome, quick to respond to all of my questions. Even provided an event coordinator that helped us out tremendously. This venue is absolutely gorgeous and well put together. We had received so many compliments on this location.
Only wish if any was that we didn’t have to be out by 11pm, but we were well aware of the rules and requirements of the venue and totally understood.

Beautiful Venue

My husband and I were very happy with our choice of Lewiswood Farm. We knew as soon as we set foot on the property that it was what we wanted for our wedding. The owner is very responsive and experienced and has a good working relationship with many of the vendors around town. There are a variety of gorgeous photo locations throughout the property, and the bridal suite is a huge bonus.

The vendor was amazing and the venue was stunning!

This venue was everything I wanted for my wedding. The charm of the place takes your breath away. The husband and wife who own the venue are so sweet and accommodating.

Fall Wedding

This wedding venue is gorgeous. We loved having our wedding here and working with Mrs. Debra made the experience even better! She was available for us every step of the way and even helped us pick out some of our vendors. I could not have imagined a more beautiful day, or a better venue for our special day. Hello! I loved Lewiswood and would suggest the venue to anyone. The owners are super nice and somewhat laid back. The only thing I didn't like about the venue was that there wasn't a kitchen or a specific place for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready. We got ready in the barn and bathrooms. But we knew that before picking the venue so it didn't bother me. Other than that, it's beautiful. Plenty of parking, variety of spots to do the ceremony, the owners will work with you, it's local! There's a lot of wildlife activity going on too lol. I loved that we were able to have the barn for additional days (Set up and Clean up). There are super cute bathrooms outside of the barn. The owners have benches, tables, and a few bar top tables. Honestly, almost everyone that came to the wedding and are currently planning their own wedding put Lewiswood farm as an option on their venue list. Hope that helps!

The Lewiswood Fram Barn was great Venue for our Son's Wedding. The Location was very convenient for our family.
The Barn was just what they where looking for to have a barn reception. The outside trees provided perfect setting for an out door wedding. They allowed us to access the barn the day before to set up which was a big help and Mr. Lewis was on hand that day and was very accommodating to all of our needs and questions.
The only negative thing I would say is that they currently don't have a anywhere for the bridal party to get ready other than 2 small bathrooms and there is not a kitchen. That is one of the reasons I gave what I did for the Value and also the price did not include tables and chairs and a lot of the venues we checked on did.
Debra and John Allen Lewis were GREAT to work with and we wish them much success!!!!

Your son's wedding was beautiful and as the bride put it to me "everything she ever wanted" and "just perfect." The bridesmaids seemed to have so much fun doing their final dressing in the barn (the pictures were adorable with the dresses hanging on the barn door backdrop). Thank goodness it's privately nestled in 80 acres so they could do that until a bride's cottage is built! So many caterers are completely self contained that a kitchen hasn't been needed, although that is a future addition as well. We also now have tables and chairs for separate rental or can be included in a package, according to each renter's needs. We have many more improvements and additions planned for our future and are committed to maintaining our affordability as well. We believe Lewiswood Farm has become the "Most Valuable" site in the area!

The Perfect Day!

I'm so glad that my husband and I chose to use Lewiswood Farm! Beautiful waterfall, clean, organized, quiet and serene! I wish I could do every event here for the rest of my life! Mrs. Lewis is amazing and she even accommodated a date change. I love the bridal cottage! Wish they had a similar area for the guys! Overall amazing experience!

COVID Wedding - Lewiswood was Great!

As a COVID Bride, I feel as though I could not have asked for a better venue! Debra was wonderful about communicating with me as the rules and regulations were ever changing. My July wedding went better than we could have hoped given the circumstances and I would not have had it any other way!
Debra was always willing to answer and clarify any questions that came up! Beautiful venue and wonderful experience at Lewiswood!

Lewiswood Farm is a beautiful venue. Owners, John & Debra Lewis, go out of their way to accommodate the needs of the event in every way they can. Many people commented on how pretty the site was for my daughter's wedding . It can meet the needs of all types of gatherings from a wedding to family reunion. The land surrounding the barn is beautiful and well maintained.

Such a beautiful place to get married.

This Venue speaks for itself, Mrs. Lewis was helpful with the process. They even built a new area for the guys which we didn’t know would be there when we picked the venue, definitely helped a ton.

Wedding 4/10/2021

Updating this review due to some issues we recently ran into with rentals that were charged to us MONTHS after supposedly being refunded. Due to this confusion I feel the need to update this review to reflect all aspects of our experience with this venue. Having being refunded for something that I was believed to be charged (no returned check) which I would have preferred over the refund check. Only to be charged almost three months later with no notice or confirmation. I hope who ever reads this learns from this lesson.
Mrs. Debra provided a gorgeous venue! Couldn’t have imagined a better place to say I do! Would highly recommend! Multiple mini venues to say I do and the barn is just magnificent! The new water feature was the icing for my now husband! .

I feel I must respond to your edited comments. The issues you experienced regarding bench rentals were with a third party vendor, not Lewiswood Farm. You paid the vendor directly for bench rentals which, because of the weather, you did not use. Rentals are not refundable but, to help you out and because we asked the vendor to, the vendor sent you a full refund, mailed directly to you from the vendor. This was going above and beyond what was required; the vendor did not have to issue a refund at all. Because the vendor thought your check had already been processed through the bank and therefore couldn't be voided, the vendor mailed you a full refund payment, promptly after your April 10 wedding (weeks ago, not months, as you stated). After mailing your refund, the vendor discovered your check had not yet been deposited, so the vendor deposited your check. This was the appropriate action because, to have voided your check after the refund was issued, would have been paying you back double! You received a full refund and, therefore, you incurred no expense for the benches. Surely you didn't expect the vendor to both refund you AND void your check. I can only assume you are upset because you didn't keep account of the check you had written, which remained outstanding. We do not feel your negative statements regarding Lewiswood Farm are justified, as we were not a party to any of these transactions. Nor is it justified, in our opinion, to repay the vendor's kindness with negative remarks simply because you didn't realize you had an outstanding check that hadn't been cashed.
