My partner and I wanted a photographer with a unique eye to capture the emotion of our wedding day. We found this and more with Lev Kuperman.
Meeting Lev on our wedding day, we discovered he is both fun and superbly professional. His light conversation put us at ease, yielding natural smiles and laughter, resulting in great photos. His shooting process is so organic you barely notice he's taking your picture unless giving direction. From the moment he arrived, Lev made us feel in great hands.
While we wanted artistic candid photos, our large family expected traditional posed photos. Lev excelled at this, working efficiently to capture all combinations beautifully.
About a week into our honeymoon, we received our "First Look" photos and were amazed by the quality and emotion he captured—the happiness, laughter, and excitement were palpable.
After our August wedding, Lev provided the full set of photos just in time for the holidays. Creating an album with him was effortless, and the results were stunning, like the most beautiful coffee table book.
One album had the wrong cover color, but Lev promptly fixed the issue, ensuring we had the correct one by Christmas.
In conclusion, Lev played an essential role in our day, professionally and personally, capturing memories we'll treasure for years. -

We absolutely loved working with Lev for our wedding. We got married 2 weeks ago, in Queens, and Lev really helped make the whole portrait process feel as natural and easy as possible. We got our sneak peek pictures a few days later, while on our minimoon, and we were blown away with the first few pictures. Your photographer is someone you end up spending a good deal of the day with, on such an important day, and Lev quickly had us feeling like we were just chatting with an old friend, walking around the venue.
Would highly recommend to any couples getting married that they work with Lev! -

From even before we met in person, we knew that Lev was the perfect photographer to capture the feeling of our wedding day! Thanks to his preparation and vision, we not only have beautiful photos of both me and my wife getting ready with our family but, he was also able to capture the beauty of the venue (including stunning drone shots from up in the clouds). His calm presence helped ensure we were comfortable in front of the camera throughout the day and his friendly demeanor endeared him quickly to our family and friends (leading to a lot of great candid shots)! He scouted scenic locations for us to take photos before the ceremony and was able to capture our expressions of joy both during and after the ceremony! From the first moment at the venue through to some amazing dance floor photos, all of the photos turned out amazing and, they are so easy to access and share with our loved ones! We cannot recommend Lev enough to all of our friends, family, and anyone looking for the perfect photographer to capture their perfect day! -

Lev was absolutely amazing to work with! While he actually was booked on our wedding date, Lev assigned Jon to shoot our big day – both of who were such rockstars throughout our entire planning process. Lev did an amazing job assisting us leading up to our wedding, always extremely responsive when it came to helping make recommendations on our budget and timeline, and so on. While navigating a tight timeline between getting ready at two different Brooklyn hotels ahead of a wedding in LIC, Jon was so sweet willing to travel to meet us in BK weeks in advance to help scope out locations for our portraits and making recommendations on where/when it made the most sense to capture our full wedding party. Our wedding day went without a hitch, and we’re so thankful for all of Lev’s help leading up, in addition to Jon’s totally calming presence onsite. They truly knocked it out of the park, and we will never get over how amazing our photos turned out!! -

Lev possesses the rare combination of absolute professionalism coupled with a casual, warm presence. It's hard to think of a better fusion of qualities when putting together your 'inner circle' on such an important day. From our first conversation, it was clear that he cared. He cares about his craft, his client's vision, and the inherent responsibility of capturing memories.
Did I mention his photos? What an incredible artist. The warmth, emotion, and energy captured in every image is a direct result of his ability to connect with a moment in time. He knows when to step in, and when to step back, in order to get the perfect shot.

Lev's photography is truly one of a kind. He captured everything so perfectly and was so professional. He got the perfect mixture of "posed" photos and those in between candid moments. He made both of us feel so comfortable around having our photos taken and had a very calming energy. His photography is a great mixture of those "editorial" shots and the classic wedding photos. Our family portraits that he took look almost like an oil painting and are so classic. He is an all around wonderful photographer and we enjoyed working with him very much! -

Working with Lev was a truly fantastic experience from start to finish. We were blown away by his professionalism, warmth, support, and of course, his photos. Lev is such an easy, joyful person to be around, we felt lucky to have him around us on our wedding day. He blended into the whole event seamlessly- he gave us, and our guests, space to enjoy the special moments while still capturing them. He quickly scouted great spots for our portraits, spots we would never have thought of, and are now the beautiful backgrounds of our most cherished photos. He gave us some great direction when we needed it, but mostly let us be us and made us look great! We ended up with a beautiful collection of wedding photos that we couldn't love or treasure more! You really cannot go wrong with Lev on your team.
Don't forget that as a bride and groom/bride and bride/groom and groom, you spend a lot of time with your wedding photographer. They're with you for your first looks, your first moments as a married couple, many moments where it will be just the three of you. It's important to work with someone who is going to compliment your moments, and not control them. That's one of the reasons we loved working with Lev, he complimented all our moments without controlling them. He really respected our day, and let that come first- it meant a lot to us! We can't wait to work with Lev again. -

Professional, prompt and calm!
Loved working with Lev for our wedding photography. He was easy to work with, prompt, calm, and offered a lot of great suggestions for where to do the photography in the middle of NYC. We appreciated his direction as it was one less decision-making tasks to do on the day of our wedding. -

Wow. We cannot recommend Lev highly enough. When we were considering wedding photographers, we were drawn to Lev because we loved the aesthetic of his work. But we came to realize that Lev’s ability to make you feel comfortable and completely at ease is part of the secret that enables Lev to beautifully capture each moment. After spending time with Lev for an engagement shoot and the morning of our wedding day, we came to view Lev less like a photographer at our wedding and more like a friend :) Our wedding photos turned out even more beautiful than we could have anticipated — he was truly able to capture the intimacy and feeling of the day, and I grin ear-to-ear whenever I look at them. I was never the type of person to frame lots of photos of us, but I loved SO many photos shot by Lev that I seriously struggled to decide which ones to frame because they’re all so amazing. Lev’s team also did videography work for us, and the end product (in our case, a 3 to 5 minute video set to music) was truly stunning and was widely circulated among our friends and family. He made us look like movie stars! If, in addition to hiring a photographer, you are considering hiring a videographer, then look no further than Lev and his team. Again, we would give Lev our strongest endorsement - there is no one better and it was seriously one of the best decisions we made!! -

Lev is absolutely amazing! He is so talented, artistic, and such a genuinely nice person to work with. Lev shot both our engagement photos (highly recommended!) and our wedding (plus photobooth - also highly recommended!). The photos are all are simply stunning - they are not only gorgeous, but full of love and so special to us. We considered a few photographers, but after talking to Lev we knew right away we wanted to work with him. Lev is not only extremely talented and professional, but laid-back and easygoing, which was exactly what we wanted in a photographer. We wanted our photos to be fun (not stressful or overly posed) and Lev was 100% the perfect person to work with. Leading up to and on the actual day of our wedding, Lev was great at keeping track of time while also coming with creative ideas for photos. Once everything got going it was easy to forget he was even there. It all felt so natural. The photos very much reflect this - they are intimate, sincere and perfectly capture the happiness of our wedding day. We also received them back from in record time (3 weeks!). Lev is the best and we cannot recommend him highly enough. -

Lev was a dream to work with and our photos look straight out of a magazine! Finding a photographer is difficult. There are plenty of photographers out there with good technique, but it’s so hard to tell from a portfolio what the experience was like. It’s important for your photographer to make you feel comfortable and give you direction leading to special photos that don’t look too posed – and I assure you Lev certainly brings that edge. While it did take a few months to get our photos back, that time was obviously worth it when we saw the finished product. Lev is a great guy and a talented artist - I couldn’t be happier with his work and would 100% recommend him to anyone that will listen! -

Darcy Sent on 07/15/2017I can't say enough about how wonderful Lev is. We had him do both our engagement shoot and our wedding, and we couldn't be more thrilled that we chose him. I knew from the moment we started planning that photography would be hugely important to me. I was very picky about what style I wanted, more than I was with anything else (dress included!). I wanted someone who took a lot of candids, used a photojournalistic style, and who edited the photos to have a slightly vintage-y, but also timeless look. (There's nothing I hate more than those cheesy, over-saturated, and staged wedding photos that you see EVERYWHERE.) I couldn't find anyone local (we live in rural CT) whose work I loved and who was available. I was flipping through Pinterest and found a photo I liked, so I cliked on to it see who the photographer was, and it was Lev! He's based near NYC, where I lived for a long time and where we wanted to take our engagement photos, so it was perfect. We were a little nervous before the engagement shoot, but Lev instantly put us at ease. He even took us out for a drink beforehand to get us relaxed and ready to have our picture taken! Lev knows how to get the best picture possible without staging his clients too much. He makes sure the personalities of his subjects shine through. He has an amazing eye for backdrops and light. He's fun to be around puts everyone at ease. At our wedding he made sure everything happened on time without messing with the flow of the day, a perfect balance. He didn't get too "stage-y," but made sure not to miss any moments. He was unflappable and lighthearted, and just a joy to have around. Throughout the whole process, Lev was great at communication, super responsive. He answered all my questions and assuaged any worries. He may be a little pricier than your average wedding photographer, but he's SO WORTH IT. He puts in more time and attention to detail than you can imagine. I didn't originally plan on having Engagement photos done, but it made sense as a part of the pricing structure so I went for it and I'm so glad we did. Lev traveled to Philadelphia for the day, ran all over the city with us, and really helped to set me at ease! The tips and tricks he gave us during that session definitely helped to make the wedding day easier and run smoothly. I'll have these photos for the rest of my life and I'm so happy I splurged on Lev! -
