I first met John as a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding and I was immediately impressed with how energetic, enthusiastic, and complementary he was, even with our group of twelve hyper ladies. Once I saw how beautiful her weddings photos were, I knew I had to hire John for my own wedding; in fact, he was the first vendor we booked after our reception venue! John has all of the best traits a bride wants in a photographer. He has an extremely calming presence, which I especially appreciated as we moved closer to the ceremony time, but he also knows how to move the group along and makes sure everyone sticks to the timeline, which can be especially difficult with my family! He has the perfect eye for capturing little details and moments that other photographers would miss, and I'm still in awe at how beautiful all of our photos came out. In addition, John is just a genuinely nice guy and our guests still comment about how personable and friendly he was throughout the day (and about some of the amazingly hilarious photos he got on the dance floor)! Hiring John was still one of the best decisions we made during the planning process and I would recommend him to anyone who wants the best!

I am so thrilled that my husband and I chose Lennon Photo to photograph our wedding on May 12th 2017 at the Bellport Country Club. A month later and the compliments are still pouring in on how stunning our pictures came out. He is truly a class act with a spectacular eye and gift for magazine-worthy wedding photography. As a bride who values the importance of style and details, John hit the head right on the nail for what we wanted. My husband and I are both people who prefer to stray away form the traditional/posed look of photos and wanted our theme and style to be more natural, candid, and capture a “dreamy” and romantic essence. I could not believe how perfectly John was able to capture that exact essence throughout our entire day, and how he was able to reflect our personalities and style through the photos. From the first time we met John at my parents' house, I instantly connected with his amazing, positive energy. His great attitude and his love for his craft was so apparent that it was difficult to not want to hire him within the first hour of meeting him. He made the entire process so relaxed and easy, and there wasn’t one moment leading up to the wedding day that I didn't trust him. There was not one late email, phone-call or response, and his knack for organizing, scheduling and just “checking-in” was impressive. In fact, any email I sent him with questions was answered instantly-within minutes! He exudes the perfect amount of professionalism while also being so approachable and easy to talk to at the same time. I feel like his photos allow me to relive all of the moments – the big ones, small ones, and all the intimate behind the scenes moments in between that are just as meaningful. I cannot thank John enough for our beautiful photos, and for giving us a seamless experience throughout our wedding journey. He is truly a talented photographer and artist, and we could not be more thankful that he was the one to capture our wedding day.

Our photos are fantastic in every way, but we think John’s personality is what truly makes this experience so valuable. He is humble, thoughtful, and has a wonderful sense of humor that kept us laughing and helped calm our nerves. John understands how important a wedding day is for a couple and whole-heartedly shares in that joy with you. He is always willing to listen to you and use his expertise to help you create memories that will last forever. John is always looking for ways to improve his craft and attends seminars and workshops to expand his knowledge. His work is natural, beautiful, clever, and unique. John is a real person, with real ideas, and he has a passion for the work that he does. We are so thankful that he photographed our wedding and would highly recommend him to anyone getting married. John Lennon of Lennon Photo is absolutely phenomenal! I had the pleasure of being a bridesmaid in a wedding that he photographed in 2012, for one of my closest friends. I worked locally in East Islip at the time, and after the wedding I would often see John come in to buy batteries for his cameras. We would chat and I remember being amazed at how he remembered me from the wedding, and how he genuinely seemed interested in talking with me. I always told him that I would love to have him photograph my wedding some day. In 2015, I got engaged and of course I called John. I had not worked in East Islip in a few years, and I thought that he most likely would not remember me. But I was wrong, he very much remembered! His memory of the people he meets is outstanding. I was so thrilled that he was willing to meet with us.

An important thing to remember with wedding photography, not only is there significant work that goes into the wedding day itself, but there is a great deal of planning and organizing before and after the wedding. During the months leading up to our wedding, John sent us photo ideas for my father-in-law’s 1956 Ford pick up truck that we were using as our transportation. The picture he captured of us driving away in the truck is one of our favorites, and we have a framed copy on the wall in our home. He also created a timeline for us to help us plan out our special day. John was always willing to speak with us via phone or e-mail and meet with us in person whenever we had any questions or ideas.

Our wedding photos are stunning! We were married in April 2016 on a cloudy and rainy day, but the weather was no obstacle for John. He is great with generating ideas in all types of situations. We are still in awe of how smart John’s photos are and the emotions and personalities they capture. Our photo album looks like something straight out of a magazine, it is incredible. Our parents are also overjoyed with their albums and loved John's work. (1 of 2)

John Lennon is amazing! He is thoughtful, kind, organized and most importantly a phenomenal photographer. My husband and I chose John by recommendation as well as our own experience with his work as part of my brother and sister in laws bridal party. He was extremely responsive any time I had a question and so well organized. He made such an effort to learn about us as a couple, which is evident in the photographs. He provided a wedding time line which he reviewed with us several times prior to the wedding. He also wanted a background on our bridal party and family which helped things go extra smooth the day of the wedding. I know for a fact that he familiarized himself with all of the information I provided him with as he addressed members of our family and bridal party by their name. During both our engagement photo shoot and wedding photos John provided the perfect balance of direction and letting us be ourselves. I cant thank him enough for capturing such beautiful moments from our wedding. I already have and will continue to recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer.

If you want a photographer who cares about capturing the "little moments" of your wedding day, the candid shots that embody the emotion of the party, this is the photographer for you. John Lennon was a dream to work with. We knew he took quality pictures because my now-brother-in-law used him as the photographer in his wedding a few years prior. John was such a calming force the day of - I honestly think I would've had a nervous breakdown if it weren't for his reassurance that everything was on schedule. Most of the logistics were my responsibility, and I was a bit of a basket-case leading up to the big day. His prices are very reasonable and he ended up spending more time with us than we initially planned. He is more concerned about capturing the moments than watching the clock and has such a positive attitude. He has his own ideas about what "works" for the more staged photographs - family photos, wedding party photos etc. but was always willing and excited to take direction from us as we were going through with different shots we wanted - even on the fly. We went with his digital only package and the photos were available within two weeks after the wedding date. Lennon Photo is the pinnacle of professionalism and positivity. So glad we placed our trust in John to capture our special day!

It's Been over a yr since we got married but I wanted to get a review in. WE LOVE LENNON! His talent is so amazing. If you're looking for something different than the Long Island factory type photography that is the norm, this is your guy. He's an artist and we couldn't be happier with our album. He was also helpful during the wedding day during stressful situations. The wedding process wouldn't be the same without him.

John Lennon is top notch!

Everything from snapping photos on our wedding day to the delivery of our finished album was professional, painless, and FUN!

By the wedding date, John had the entire wedding party's names memorized and was ready to wrangle everyone around to get all our predetermined shots.

For the reception, we wanted mainly candid shots. If we were going to throw a party, we wanted photos of our guests partying! And John delivered! He was able to capture great moments of our friends and family dancing, singing, and having a great time right along side my wife and I. And when our friends and family pulled him off to grab some spontaneous group shots he was ready and willing to catch any shots they wanted. I heard from several people about how our photographer was friendly and happy and not "in your face" like some other photographers can be.

And when it came down to album time, John made the process so easy that it barely felt like we had to do any work at all. He was able to get a first draft together for us that had so many of the best pictures that we barely needed to change anything at all! This guy is a true artist and a master at his craft.

I would recommend Lennon Photo to anyone! Please do yourself a favor and give them a call if your looking for a great photographer at a great price that's going to capture the best moments of the best day of your life.

My husband and I used Lennon Photo as our photographer, and we are so happy with our decision! We had originally booked with another photographer, but a few months after booking, there were poor reviews coming up about that photographer. No longer feeling confident in our decision, we were looking for a photographer 2 months before the wedding! From the moment I emailed John, he was so nice, helpful, understanding and informative. He was not pushy at all, but he made the best point that I ever heard regarding photographers. He said "if you do not trust your photographer, you will never be happy with your wedding photos". Such a true statement! While meeting with John, he was explaining his style of photography, while showing us pictures, and everything he was saying/showing completely blended together. We then booked with John, and it was such a wonderful decision. He completed a timeline, and had so many great ideas! It was an absolute pleasure to work with him. His enthusiasm for photography is so exciting! He was also great because my dad is really into photography, and he let my dad take all the pictures that he wanted as well. It was so nice of him! I do not think that I can say enough how great John is. He also recommended Rocklife Studio, Jon Santos, for videography, which was also amazing!

We chose Lennon Photo for our wedding because we wanted candid photos that would capture intimate moments between us and our friends and families. We felt comfortable with John and his style, and it helped that he is simply a nice guy (who our guests loved).
We were overwhelmed when we received our photos and we are having a difficult time choosing our favorites. Our family and friends were blown away, and some have commented that they wish they could get married again to have the photos that we have. We feel very lucky to have had John at our wedding and we have friends who have already booked with him. And my husband calls him a ninja because he seemed to magically take photos from everywhere.

Hiring John as our photographer was the best and easiest decision we made when booking our vendors. I knew a lot of people who had used him before me so I was already a fan before meeting him. He made us so comfortable on our first meeting, I just knew it'd be a great fit. Not only is he professional but he is probably the nicest person I've ever met. I absolutely love all of our photos. He captured every moment perfectly, it was like reliving the day while going through the pictures. The staged photos are so beautiful it was tough to pick which ones we loved best. And the candid's are so fun to go through because he really captured the emotions and excitement through out the day. When we received our USB with all of our photos it came in this adorable personalized box. He also sent us a beautifully written thank you with a little something extra because he heard we were buying our first house. He really knows how to make each wedding special and personal. I can't thank him enough for doing such an amazing job.I would highly recommend Lennon Photo to all brides.

The photographer was the hardest vendor for me to choose as it was the most important. I found John at Bellport Country Club's wedding expo and instantly felt his passion for his job. He is an amazing photographer, I could tell from some sample weddings he shared. He is extremely professional and easy to work with with.
As for the day of the wedding he was so laid back and fun to be around. He kept us on time though we never felt rushed. I know John doesn't like reviews to say this but, after our formal pictures we didn't see him for the rest of the night. He blended in during the reception and yet got every single shot. He wasn't in your face and didn't ruin the natural flow of the party. I am so happy with my wedding photos.
John's professionalism continues while working on thank you cards and our wedding album. He is timely and will make as many changes to get you exactly what you want.

My husband and I knew from our first meeting with John that we had to hire him! He photographed our engagement session and wedding day. We also booked the photo booth through him (which was so awesome and fun and could fit a lot of people for funnier/nicer group shots!) John made the day stress-free, fun and personal. He met our bridal party (all 21 of them) that day, and made everyone so comfortable, relaxed and knew everyone's names. My husband, myself and our entire family were blown away by all the moments John captured. When someone saw themselves in a photo they couldn't believe he got that shot because they "had no idea he was taking my picture." The candids were filled with so much emotion and each photograph makes us smile. Even the box in which we received our USB with all the pictures was beautiful. As for the album, you can pick and choose which shots you want and we also receive "parent albums" which our family is excited about. We cannot stress enough how happy we are with our pictures! We highly recommend hiring John Lennon!!

Wow is also I can say about John Lennon and his amazing work. From the first time I met John at a Bridal expo two years ago I knew there was something special about him and his work. From day one he was always patient and accommodating. He has an amazing eye for great photography and always makes you feel comfortable in the picture. Our engagement pictures came out incredible and our family and friends could not stop raving about how awesome they looked. The days leading up to the wedding John was so patient with me. He made sure that we had a time line and that we had plenty of time to not feel rushed but get all the pictures that we wanted done. John was at my house earlier than expected and he fit right in. John was such an amazing photographer. He really listens to you and gets to know your personality. He was incredibly professional and fun. I was worried about rain on my wedding and John took the possibility and ran with it. We got some amazing pictures in the rain and sunshine. He was very creative with photos. I trusted him completely during my wedding. At the reception I barely realized he was there. He reminded me of specific photos I wanted and got some awesome pictures! John did an amazing job with our wedding photography and reception photobooth! My husband and I went from feeling unsure on allocating a budget for a professional wedding photographer, and now looking at the amazing books John made for us and our family, I wouldn't have it any other way.

The pictures are absolutely stunning and John's passion is really inspiring. He listened to exactly what we wanted, and captured great photos while still allowing us & our guests to enjoy the moment/day. I couldn't be happier with our decision to hire Lennon Photo for our September wedding on the North Fork. During the wedding planning stages I did hours of research to find the perfect photographer, and once I found John, he did not disappoint. He was attentive, organized and easy to work with throughout the entire planning process, and he really took the time to understand us and our tastes. On the day of our wedding, we were so pleased that he was not only talented and professional, but that he was also a wonderful person to be around. His positivity and humor integrated so well with our family, that we all started missing him when the wedding was over! John Lennon enchanted my husband and I in our first meeting with his fun personality, creativity and talent. He promised to be a "photo ninja" and he sure was! My husband and I disliked attending weddings where the photographer was always in your face and forcing you to pose for photos. We simply wanted to 'experience' our wedding day (while getting a few formal family photos of course!) I haven't even seen my photos yet, but I am sure they are amazing because our engagement session with John was fabulous. Not to mention his willingness to create an original photo booth for us (including a hand-drawn, personalized chalkboard) that was out of this world and extremely popular at our reception. We had a blast hanging out with John on our wedding day and can't seen enough positive things about his work. We plan on using him for all our future photo needs :)

I could talk all day about how much we LOVE Lennon Photo. First and foremost, they will do an outstanding job capturing your day. My husband and I have nicknamed John "The Sniper" because he seemed to be everywhere and captured images you wouldn't have suspected. John is great! It absolutely poured at my wedding and we couldn't even get 1 picture outdoors but he kept us smiling throughout the entire night! Most of the time I didn't even know he was there. John and Dan did a wonderful job photographing our wedding. The pictures were amazing; they really captured the feeling of the day! Plus, they somehow got photographs of all of the night's highlights yet we feel like we never even saw them taking the shots. We also appreciated that they were able to photograph the guests that were not on the dance floor or in the thick of things so that we can look back on the night and remember everyone. Finally, thanks to their good nature and laid back approach to everything, our guests loved them both. Our wedding was on Fire Island, which is only accessible by boat, but they went the extra mile to get out to there and handled the logistics seamlessly. We would whole-heartedly recommend John and Dan to anyone for their big day.

My husband and I (with our families) could not have been more impressed with John. I cannot say enough great things about this photographer. He was very professional, kind and his attention to detail was absolutely impeccable. I am a very detailed oriented person and a tough critic however John was able to surpass my goals for the photography portion of my wedding. When I received my photos, it almost made me cry because they were so beautiful and I was able to relive that awesome day all over again. He was not intrusive at all but he was able to capture all of the amazing moments of the day. I would hire John again in a second and I highly recommend his services! Please choose him as your photographer and you will not regret it!

John Lennon is amazing!!!! I met him at a showcase and his personality along with his books of amazing photos won me over. (PS his pricing is great too) I had him do a engagement photo shoot and after seeing the pictures I knew I made the right choice. John is so professional and has a amazing eye. I gave him a challenge with 8 little kids in a bridal party and he was fantastic. I will use John again in the future. To all future brides out there...please check out his work trust me you will be very very happy.

John Lennon was nothing but professional the whole way through. He is so easy to work with and the pictures are just amazing! I can't stop looking at them! His whole team is just fantastic. From the moment I spoke with him I knew he was my guy. I live in Missouri so I had my sister interviewed him in person for me. He remember every detail I told him and my sister was just as impressed as I. If you want great quality pictures with that easy to work with, non pushy type of photographer, John and his group is the way to go! I hope to be able to use him for all my pictures!!

John Lennon is simply the best photographer! He was the photographer at my wedding and I could not be happier with the photos he took. His style is so organic and artistic, every picture was a beautiful depiction of my special day. He made my entire bridal party feel so comfortable and carefree. During the ceremony, he captured moments that I will cherish forever.
John Lennon loves what he does so much, the night of my wedding he went directly to his studio and uploaded the photos. He made a slideshow with music which was emailed to me the morning after my wedding! The slideshow was so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes. I highly recommend John Lennon, my wedding day would not have been the same without him.

As an artist myself, it was really important to find a photographer with strong skills. In choosing John Lennon, not only did we get beautiful and artistic pictures, but we had the pleasure of working with a genuinely nice guy as well. At the wedding, John always managed to be in the right places at the right times, to capture our most special moments. Choosing Lennon Photo was one of the best decisions we made, and we could not be happier. :)

Lennon Photo is truly amazing! My husband and I could not be happier with having worked with John Lennon from Lennon Photo. People are not kidding when they say your wedding day flies by – after our wedding we were shocked by how fast the day went by, and how quickly you begin to forget some of the little details you worked so hard on while planning for your wedding. Our photo proofs came back very quickly and we were so happy to find that watching a slideshow of our wedding photos was almost like watching a video of our wedding day from start to finish; John captured every moment of our day! John was such a pleasure to work with - so friendly and warm; calm yet so energetic and excited to be working with us. He provided guidance when we needed it for our formal photos, but yet kept in the background and captured all of the fun, candid moments. John is such an amazing talent, and we could not be more thankful to him for giving us such beautiful photos – my husband and I can now relive our wedding every time we look through our wedding album. These photos are what we’ll be able to cherish forever. It is without doubt that we’ll continue to rely on John and Lennon Photo in the future, to capture the special moments of our lives together.

I cannot say enough about John Lennon to do his photography work justice. A few years ago I actually stood up in a wedding that John and his brother, Dan, photographed. The entire wedding party immediately clicked with them and felt at ease throughout the day. My friend’s pictures were gorgeous and she was thrilled with the outcome.

When I became engaged I did not even consider looking for a different photographer. John was available and came into town from New York to photograph our wedding which I can’t believe he was willing to do. Throughout the planning process John was organized, attentive, and easy to communicate with.

On the day of our wedding John was timely, energetic, and fantastic about keeping our large (16 groomsmen, 8 bridesmaids, 3 flower girls, 1 ring bearer) wedding party focused, on time, and out of trouble.  He has a keen eye for photography and suggested beautiful backdrops and settings throughout the city of Detroit that I never would have considered. John works and captures special moments in a nonintrusive manner that shows true emotion like I’ve never seen in photography before.

I will forever be thankful that we chose Lennon Photography for the most special day of our lives. And, I will be forever grateful to John for providing our families with the most special part of our wedding…the pictures that will last a lifetime and that we will cherish forever.

You have found your photographer! Lennon Photo is hands down the most talented AND best person you could hope to work with! From Day 1, John was quick to respond to e-mails and messages and really knows how to put a stressing bride at ease. On the wedding day, he was fun and got to know everyone in the bridal party by name and really made people feel comfortable just kicking back and being themselves. No stiff posed photos here, people! John will capture the personality of your day so perfectly that you will feel like you were there every time you look at your pictures. He took pictures of intimate moments that my husband and I thought we snuck, but make for beautiful shots. There were so many pictures of things I would have otherwise missed at the wedding but were instead captured beautifully by John. Stop your searching and call him immediately! You'll have your photographer booked in no time!!!!

I would recommend Lennon Photo to EVERY bride if I could. The service that John Lennon provided was professional, friendly, and consistent since the moment my husband and I walked into the office. The pictures that we have of our wedding day are beautifully unique while capturing every moment. We will cherish them forever!
My husband and I still talk about how happy we are that we found Lennon Photo. If we didn't book him, John Lennon would have been invited as a guest! That's how much we enjoyed and appreciated his company!

My husband and I could not be happier with the professionalism and quality of John lennon and his staff. Our pictures were gorgeous and John made the entire experience more than enjoyable. We knew when we first met John he was going to be our photographer. He was always there when we needed to get in touch with him. Very warm and personable. Put your trust in John, you will come out with the most beautiful photos and wonder how he did it!
We will definitely be using him again for when we start our family :)

I haven't had my wedding yet its next year but after having my engagement shoot with Steve - I couldn't be more excited.
Steve was recommended by so many people and I am SO Pleased we choose him for our special day. We love our engagement photos and cant say enough good things.
The photos were edited and online within less then 24 hours of leaving their studio.
At this point in time I cannot say enough nice things!!

My husband and I are both graphic designers so our visions for our wedding photographs were very specific. First we had our engagement shoot with Lennon Photo and John's photographs absolutely blew us away!! They were amazing! They were everything we had envisioned and more! As I was going through our photos all I kept saying was "Oh my god!" That day is a day we will never forget, I at the time couldn't imagine the emotions we would feel after seeing our wedding photos!

John is extremely talented! His photographs look so natural and his lighting technique creates such a sparkle in every single photo. We first got to know John on our trip to Brooklyn for our engagement and his love and passion for what he does is truly refreshing. HIs positive attitude was a breath of fresh air on our wedding day when it often looked like it might rain (it didn't phewff)

Our wedding photos are even more amazing than we even imagined they would be! We went to Gilgo Beach and John was able to capture everything that beach had to offer. His photos capture the softness of the bay side and the green marsh behind the dock, to the rugged graffiti in the tunnel and then the beautiful ocean view on the ocean side. His photos are truly amazing! I am obsessed with our photographs :) He was right in every moment throughout the entire day. Didn't miss a thing! Friends and family loved him and often said "I didn't even know he was photographing that moment" John is just an awesome guy and we are so so happy we chose him as our photographer. Highly recommended!!!

Working with John was fantastic! From the moment we met him, we felt comfortable and at ease with his photography style and warm personality. He always responded right away to any emails or phone calls about the contract, photo options, family photos etc. The day of the wedding he was an absolute pleasure to work with. Family pictures were streamlined and quick, and he got the most incredible shots at the reception and ceremony. It's hard to believe you are working with one photographer the way he moves around and captures every moment. Our photos came out absolutely amazing and our family and friends loved working with John as much as we did.

My name is Alexandra Froehlich and my wedding day was Sept 15th, 2012.
My photographer was John Lennon. I chose John because of the details i requested to have posted in my pictures. My husband and I both lost a grandparent, to represent them i had John take pictures of that for us. One of the main reasons that we enjoyed our day was because John was not intrusive and took amazing pictures as our families enjoyed it just as much as we did. He is a very sweet and kind person. I recommend highly and would love to you have him photograph us more :)

John (owner) was wonderful in assisting us in planning and was always available if we needed him. We could have used a bit more direction during formal photos. The end result was beautiful pictures. It was difficult to choose our favorites.
