Beautiful Makeup

Lena did my makeup on my wedding day. She was sweet, professional, and prompt. I am not used to wearing makeup and wanted a very soft natural look. She listened and executed that beautifully. I did not want to wash it off when the day was over! The mua who came as a part of her team also did a beautiful job on my bridesmaids makeup. I look forward to working with her when I need my makeup done again. Thank you Lena!

Absolutely wonderful

Lena and her assistant made my bridesmaids and me feel like our most radiant, elegant selves. She made sure to apply our makeup so that it would withstand the day, but also so that we looked like the best version of ourselves. She is skilled in all skin tones and facial features, and she sends out questionnaires to really get to know the look you’re trying to achieve. Lena was reliable and kind...I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

We looked amazing for the wedding

Truly the best of the best!

Welcoming and Professional

I reached out to Lena originally in January as a referral from my wedding coordinator, but was unable to use her initially as I had planned. In late April, I had to change makeup artist and was excited to reach out to Lena again, but nervous since it was so close to my wedding day. Lena, was responsive, accommodating and very professional through all my back and forth communications. On the day of the wedding, Lena was on time and ready to make all of us beautiful. My bridesmaid who was hesitant at first because she'd never had her makeup done, was thoroughly impressed. Lena was personable, made every feel and look beautiful. I'm trying to figure out what I can book her for again! I received soooo many compliments on my makeup. I truly appreciate Lena for her work and kindness. There are truly no words for how gifted she is.

I am so happy that I was able to work with Lena, her service was fantastic. Lena was extremely responsive from day one, which immediately gave me comfort in her professionalism. I don't know how to apply my own makeup beyond the basics so I was very worried about my ability to describe the style that I wanted. Lena has a detailed survey that helped me layout things that I like and do not like and she was able to translate that into a beautiful look. The most important part of the wedding for me was that moment when my fiance sees me for the first time and I really wanted to be the most beautiful version of myself. I was worried because he prefers me without makeup and I wanted to look like a movie star. Lena gave me the perfect balance of glamorous and natural. He couldn't stop talking about how beautiful I was. Lena also worked in a 2nd look for me after my cocktail hour, which was amazing. I cannot say enough great things about Lena and would recommend her to any bride who is looking for an outstanding and affordable MUA.

Lena is amazing, and I could not have selected a better makeup artist for my special day! Her work is perfect, and she has the personality to match. Lena's calm and peaceful demeanor put me at such ease. She has the type of energy that every bride needs--made me feel like a princess! I've never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day, and Lena was a HUGE part of that. I trusted her expertise, and I'm so glad that I did because there's no way that I could've articulated the look that she gave me.

Lena knew exactly what I wanted, but most importantly what I needed. I truly appreciate her talent and professionalism and cannot wait to work with her again! THANK YOU LENA!

I interviewed several make-up artists and had one trial after Lena's trial and Lena was hands-down the BEST of them all. Lena is on-time, professional, friendly and flexible. I had a bridal party and had to keep getting up while she did my make-up and never once did I feel she had any type of attitude or negativity. On my wedding day, my make-up was flawless because she took her time (had written down notes from our trial, so she KNEW exactly what I wanted)... in fact, my (now) husband commented on how beautiful and natural I looked (and he's anti-make-up). Modestly speaking, I was a beautiful bride and had countless compliments on my make-up. My Mum's make-up was fantastic and she loved her results, too. I appreciate her artistry and genuineness will use her again for other black tie or formal events.

Mrs. Clark did a wonderful job on my face. She is very caring, you can easily forget that she was hired for a job. I can't say enough good things about Lena and her team! I'm half black half latina and finding foundation to match my skin tone is a struggle so finding a MUA that understood that and had a background in working with all skin tones was really important for my wife and I. Lena was amazing! With two brides she made us both feel special and beautiful and our makeup complemented eachother. My mom and sister's makeup was gorgeous too! She was warm and thoughtful and professional!! I am also a crier and practically cried through the whole ceremony and my makeup looked just as good during the reception! Just top notch!

My wife and I searched and searched for the perfect person to do our makeup for the bid day. We tried out many people before we thankfully found Lena Cllark Beauty. I'm Hispanic and my wife is biracial and we had an awful time looking for someone who could match both of our complexions. It was exhausting and we consistently ended up looking white washed in photos. Then we found Lena Clark Beauty who was able to give us both flawless complexions that looked natural! She really knows what she's doing! We did a practice run with her before the wedding just to make sure we'd be okay but having seen our bridesmaids and our mother's for the first time Lena and her team did just as amazing on them for having only met them once!

Additionally, being a lesbian couple was something we were concerned about with our vendors and how they would react to us. But it's safe to say that Lena did not blink an eye when it came to that. She and her team were warm, welcoming, loving and a wonderful presence both before our big day and on our big day. These ladies operate with a high degree of professionalism and class. They kept us on schedule and made sure everyone got their makeup done in a timely manner. Not to mention they were fun to be around and have with us on our big day. Lena spoke many kind words of wisdom to both my wife and I as we were getting ready, not to mention helped calm our nerves. Trust me when I say... You want her on your team on your big day!

Lena was great! She was very professional and did an amazing job with my make-up. I don't wear make-up often and was very nervous. She was very responsive and attentive to any concerns I had. Lena made my girls and I look like beauty queens. We all went with a natural look and it was amazing!!! Lena is friendly, very professional, accommodating, timely (when she says is takes 45 mins, it takes 45 mins!!) and super cautious on using sanitized or disposable tools. I have a very sensitive face and not once did I break out from her makeup or her tools! That says a LOT! She did a "preview" and followed up with questions so she could identify areas of improvement for the day of. I cannot stress how important it is that you get the preview before your big day! It will help you truly figure out if that is the ultimate look you want for your wedding. I highly, highly recommend Lena and I'm already looking forward to the next event so she can glam me up!

I hired Lena to do makeup for my June 2017 wedding and could not have been more pleased with her work! On my wedding day, I wanted to look like my best self - not overly made up or (even worse) unrecognizable to my groom. In short, I was avoiding the "Instagram" look. Lena did a fantastic job of taking my inspiration pictures and completed questionnaire and creating a naturally glamorous makeup look for me and my wedding party. She's incredibly responsive to emails, very flexible (even when I added a few people at the last minute!), pleasant and professional. She and her assistant were precise but speedy and did such a fantastic job that one bridesmaid confided that her own wedding day makeup had not been as great. We ended up finishing ahead of schedule! I would definitely recommend working with her and her team.

If you have an idea of something or someone you want to personify, even if it's a mashup of ideas, go with it. I honestly hadn't considered any of the specifics of how I wanted my make-up even when she asked while I was in the chair! I just knew how I wanted to feel, and the experience I wanted my husband and I to have. Also, this is only the third or fourth time I've ever had any make-up on, and it wasnt too much or too heavy. Even though I sweated my hair out, got sumo hugged by over 90 people (who were taller so their jackets were on my face), and ate some delicious buttercream cake at the end of the night I still had the same face I started with. Enough so to go to a four hour after party and sweat all over again. So ladies do W-H-A-T-E-V-E-R your hearts so desire. As long as you communicate with Lena and her staff, and take their professional suggestions with understanding that they really know what their doing. When you get in that chair a weight will be lifted. I guarantee when she hands you that mirror, and you see yourself for the first time, you'll feel exactly what you set out to feel. I can't wait for our anniversary.

All I can say is wow!! So professional yet caring! The makeup for my bridesmaids were flawless. My husband cried when he saw me and whispered "you look unbelievable..so beautiful". I have so many good things to say about Lena! She was absolutely AMAZING.... I received so many compliments on my wedding day. Adjectives used by various people : you look stunning, beautiful, breathtaking, gorgeous. These are just a few of the compliments that were given. My husband actually cried when he saw me. Lena, Lena, Lena! I am not a make-up person, but Lena made me so comfortable. During the wedding planning, I had a lot of anxiety. Doing my make-up was the last thing I was worried about. My wedding planner recommended Lena, and OMG was I blessed. I didn't have time to do a trial run. She really listened to what I wanted and created a masterpiece on my wedding day! I looked absolutely exquisite, but I still looked like a natural me. You can tell Lena loves what she does. It shows in the care she puts into her work. Thank you so much! Lena was by far one of my favorite people in my wedding process!!! Her expertise, professionalism, care, tips, and thoughtful touch up kit were all amazing and top notch. She really took the time to understand what look I wanted for my wedding and made adjustments based on my feedback. Everyone at the wedding was stunned, especially the Groom :). I had never gotten my makeup professionally done before and I am no pro myself. Lena made this experience easy and she gave me the perfect look. I provided pictures of looks I liked which were more on the natural side. I scheduled a make-up trial and she hit the nail right on the head that day. The day of she came to my location where I was getting ready, set-up, did my makeup and left a touch-up kit for the day. My groom was floored when he saw me at our first look and told me I looked gorgeous like a barbie doll. Even though I had tons of make-up on my face, it never felt that way.

She is friendly, professionally, listens to you and is a gem at what she does. Even her work station is kept clean and organized. I would recommend her to anyone.

I highly recommend Lena if you want a flawless face. I am so happy that I retained Lena Clark as my makeup artist for my wedding. From the very beginning she responded quickly to questions and concerns. She contracted with me for my whole bridal party. She sent a survey to help customize the looks for the day. I added an extra person to the schedule and she adjusted without missing a beat. She was PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL and VERY TALENTED. Our faces were beat to the gods! The makeup lasted all day and night. Flawless! She gave each lady a lipstick touch up kit. I don't wear makeup and I trusted Lena to give me the natural look that I wanted. I am so glad that I did! She finds the beauty in each woman and enhances it! I felt so beautiful and received so many compliments! Thank you Lena for helping us feel fabulous on my big day!

As a person who doesn't wear makeup daily, I was concerned about looking over done on my wedding day. So often you see brides walk down the aisle looking like a completely different person. This was my biggest fear. Lena was extremely patient with me and assured me that I would have a natural look on my day. I have to say Lena did a phenomenal job. My makeup looked classic, timeless, and perfect. Several people complimented me on my makeup and specifically asked for Lena's card. Where do I start! The first thing I noticed is that she is truly professional. From booking until my big day she was on point with everything. She is professional and down to earth at the same time. I was referred to her through my sister-in-law, so I decided to book her as soon as I seen her work on IG. Very clean and radiant. The day of the wedding she was on time. I noticed her professional equipment she used for my makeup. She had lighting and etc. In my mind, I was so impressed and love how she use what is needed to perfect her craft. Lena took her time on my makeup and made sure I was a beautiful bride. After she completed my makeup, she provided a complimentary gift and makeup necessities for me to use to touch up after the ceremony and during the reception. And trust me, I used them.

I recommend her services to bridal parties or even for a beat face! Lena did my makeup to PERFECTION! She is #1 in my book of professional and talented makeup artist.

Ms. Lena CLark provided me with such wonderful service. She did make up for me, my mother, mother in-law, and grandmother. I was concerned because my two mothers are difficult clients and my grandmother has dementia but Lena worked well with them. She is so patient and kind. My wedding was outside in the middle of July. My makeup stayed in place the whole entire night. I received soo many compliments. I never looked soo good. When I turned to face my husband for the first time, he cried. I would highly recommend booking Ms. Lena CLark for your wedding. You will not be disappointed.

Lena Clark is absolutely amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had the privilege of having make-up services provided by Lena for my bridal shower and wedding day. Not only did she make me the most beautiful bride ever, she also glammed up my mother and 8 bridesmaids of diverse nationalities and skin tones. She was prepared for it all. Lena is the consummate professional. I was immediately impressed by her responsiveness and flexibility. I had a terrible experience with another Chicago MUA who canceled my appointment within 5 days of my maternity photo shoot and baby shower and offered no backup plan. I had tight schedule constraints because I was traveling from Ohio to Chicago, and the day's back-to-back events were planned months in advance. A friend referred me to Lena. I emailed Lena in desperation, as I knew it would be next to impossible to book a quality MUA on short notice. Although I contacted Lena late at night, she replied in less than an hour. She was booked for the day but offered to fit me in at 7 AM. I was SO appreciative of her flexibility and willingness to accept a last-minute appointment. When I met her, I was even more delighted because she is an absolute sweetheart. Beyond my pleasant interactions with Lena, from initial contact through my appointment, she is a phenomenal artist! I showed her a picture to inspire my look. Lena exceeded my expectations! I received soooooo many compliments, more than I received on my wedding day. In fact, I wish I had booked Lena for my wedding. Too bad I didn't know about her then! She is patient and customer-focused. She goes above and beyond to ensure her client is happy. My makeup lasted ALL DAY without touch-ups and my lipstick lasted through 2 meals. I highly recommend Lena. She is now my first choice when seeking professional makeup services. I will always remember how her act of kindness turned a stressful situation into positive memory.

Lena was extremely helpful and professional. I normally do not post reviews but I feel obligated because I do not think I could've received better service. She was always responsive to emails and texts and answered any questions I may have had and I looked STUNNING at my wedding. My bridesmaids did too. She took exactly the time she said she would and was done and out of there. I would use her again for other events and would recommend her to others as well

I'm not a full-face make-up type of gal and am very much a DIY personality, so it took a bit of convincing for me to hire a make-up artist for my wedding. Lena was patient and friendly, which won me over. She listened to what I wanted (natural glam) but nudged me to try something new (contouring) and end the end we arrived at the perfect look for me. My make-up stayed on all night, my pictures look fabulous and I looked like me.

Hands down Lena is the BEST!!! She was awesome to work with and made me feel fabulous, sexy and beautiful all at the same time! I had other trials done before but once had my trial done with Lena I knew she was the one I wanted to work with. I normally don't were makeup but wanted to for my special day and Lena went above and beyond. She was able listen to my ideas, give me her professional opinion, work with me on the design and in turn nailed the exact look that I was going for! She explained everything that was being done, was very professional and kept everything clean and sanitized when doing the makeup. I was cutting it short when I came to booking my makeup artist and Lena was gracious enough to fit me into her schedule. Also when my maid of honor was having some issues with her lashes, Lena was kind enough to come to the rescue. From the moment my husband saw me he started to cry! I received several complements on my makeup and lasted all night long! I HIGHLY RECOMEND WORKING LENA!!! I am going to make sure that for all my future events I work with Lena and recommend her to everyone.

I just want to start off by saying Lena Clark is fantastic. She did my makeup (Bride) and my daughter's makeup (bridesmaid) without a consultation. She was punctual, professional, and pleasant. We did not have the best lighting in the room but she had her own lighting. We gave her examples of what we wanted and she was able to mirror the look flawlessly. I can not give her enough praise. I would definitely use her again for any future events.

Lena is nothing short of a miracle worker. I felt like a princess on my wedding day. My bridesmaids and junior bridesmaid felt equally as beautiful. I received several compliments. My aunt cried when she saw me. I can't say enough or recommend Lena enough. She did an outstanding job. Did I mention that my makeup lasted over 10 hours? I had an outdoor ceremony on a humid day. My makeup remained flawless!

She prepared me and my attendants well before our session. She provided us with a list of things to do prior to our session and she worked methodically to get our makeup done in record time.

One word of advice to future brides is to read her emails thoroughly. You wont be disappointed.

Lena is the most talented, amazing, makeup artist there is and I am SO glad my wedding planner recommended her for my wedding. When I went to Lena’s website, I instantly fell in love with the soft bridal natural look. Not to mention how professional she was when I booked her. She was prompt to get in contact with me and even went out of her way to book me in for that day due to that being the 4th of July weekend. Lena’s was VERY PROFFESIONAL… I repeat VERY VERY PROFFESSIONAL, thoughtful, relatable, with a wonderful personality. She listened to my ideas and utilized the pictures I sent to her to create the perfect look I wanted for my makeup for the wedding. Every time I post a picture of my big day, I still get compliments today about how my eyes pop in every picture and how gorgeous, yet natural my makeup looked. She has an amazing talent and is perfect at her craft. My bridesmaids remarked on how well my makeup lasted throughout the ENTIRE day, which was a huge plus since it was a bit hot that day. Lena even made me a makeup kit for the wedding day which was super special to me. I was able to apply more lipstick that she provided me for my second look for the reception. I felt the most beautiful on my wedding day because of Lena. Lena was super prompt with email responses and was very professional with the contract. From the first time I contacted her through her website, to the day of the wedding she made me feel comfortable. One thing that I admire about Lena as a MUA is that she’s not just doing this as a business; she genuinely cares for her clients. I was even in awe when I got friendly emails from her prepping me up until my big day to stay hydrated. I really appreciated that because sometimes as brides we need to know that the people who are servicing us care. I would highly recommend Lena over any other makeup artist out there. Lena goes beyond the 5.0 rating. She is friendly and professional. I came across her flyers in a bridal shop and I'm so glad I choose her to make me beautiful on my wedding day. It was my first time having a makeover done by a MUA and I absolutely LOVED her work. The best part was who I now call my husband, kept complimenting on my face all night long. Lena completely transformed me for my wedding! She's truly an artist and her calm nature and sense of humor immediately put this nervous bride at ease. She enhanced my favorite features and camouflaged the flaws, making it impossible to take a bad picture! Lena actually saved me when my original MUA cancelled 2 days before my wedding, and even without a consultation or "practice run," she made me FLAWLESS. The touch-up kit she provided kept my look fresh through the late-night reception and hours of dancing. I'll be returning to Lena for all special events and photo shoots, and couldn't recommend her enough for brides who want to look and feel more beautiful than they ever have before!

Lena Clark is the premiere make-up artist for all of my clients author publicity photos. They fly in to Chicago from all over the United States just to have their make up done by her and photos taken by Pete Sternberg. Lena did my makeup for my wedding, along with my entire wedding party, and the mothers of the bride and groom. She was super flexible and understanding. I don't wear makeup often so I found it difficult to articulate what I wanted to look like. She did two different looks for me during my trial so I could decide what I wanted. She was extremely professional, and make our entire wedding party look amazing! I look at my photos and I am so happy that I decided to have my makeup done. My face looks flawless in every shot! Lena was very professional from day one. Her communication is great and timely. I asked for a natural look and she definitely made me a beautiful natural bride. I was extremely nervous about the makeup aspect of my wedding as I don't wear make up EVER. But Lena made me as neutral as possible so even I felt comfortable and beautiful.
