If you are looking for an amazing photographer who is dependable, trustworthy, and great to work with. Then congrats, you just found her! We hired Leigh to be our photographer for our wedding after our original photographer backed out months prior, and she was the best decision we ever made!!!! Not only did she make our wedding photoshoots so easy, because she had a gameplan for every picture that we could ask for, but she made us had so much fun while doing it. And let me tell you about these pictures, they look absolutely stunning!!!! She also was able to give us everything we could ever ask for in a photographer. Leigh was fantastic!!!! She worked with us on the photos that we wanted, was incredibly efficient and generally interested in us. The photo shoot was so much fun and never laborious even after 100s of photos. She really made every photo feel special and choreographed only for us. Don’t hesitate just get Leigh

Leigh was absolutely amazing to work with! She was on top of scheduling the day of to make sure we got all the picture we wanted. She also was amazing working with our wedding coordinator and videographer.

Our wedding pictures were absolutely stunning. She truly captured not only my husband and I’s love but the love and happiness of everyone at our wedding. Her and her crew truly have an eye for photography and capturing all the special moments. She also sent us our photos within a week after our wedding, which we loved because we thought we would have to wait longer to get them back! We love Leigh! Trust me if you book her you are going to get your moneys worth. She is amazing!!!

Just book her

When we saw her via various interwebs searches for phtographers in our area, we KNEW we had to have her. Bonus points---she also works with us so her name sounded familiar!!
We could not have been happier with Leigh and her daughter Morgan was our second photographer at our wedding. Leigh is your eternal hype man. We got the engagement photos done exactly one year before our wedding and we knew from that shoot that she was just different. She literally took what was in my mind and created it. She completely understood my vision. After having so much fun with her and getting those photos back, we just KNEW she was going to deliver at our wedding, and she seriously exceeded our expectations by a long shot! Not only did she capture the best memories and photos on our wedding day, but she was our hype man--hyping the youngest to the oldest member of the family during pictures, she bustled my dress, and she really cared about making our photography dreams come true. She was also readily available when I needed to get in contact with her and helped me create a perfect timeline for the day. She even gave me advice on several other vendors. She knew exactly what to do when it came to shooting a catholic mass wedding, which I appreciated so much. Lastly, 10/10 turn around time. We got our pictures back pretty quickly (around two ish weeks) after the wedding and they were perfectly organized as well, which made for super easy viewing and downloading. I enjoyed hanging out with Leigh and I felt like she was a part of my wedding party! I'd hang out with her again without photography involved, that's how much Im obsessed with her :) Trust us, you want her for your wedding day/event photography!!

Leigh was the BEST!!!

Leigh was the absolute BEST photographer we could have ever dreamed of! She was so professional, and all her photos turned out AMAZING!! She was also so easy to work with during our engagement shoot/wedding day! She kept everything moving in a timely fashion and got all the shots we asked for (and more we didn't even think of!) But perhaps most importantly, she was so friendly, nice, and fun!! Having beautiful pictures is (of course) a wonderful thing, but having such a lovely human being taking those pictures and supporting/guiding us through the magnificent whirlwind that was our wedding day was priceless :)

The Absolute Best!

I literally cannot say enough good things about Leigh! She's an amazing person and so much fun to work with! I was worried that I'd be uncomfortable/awkward for formal photos but she just made it so much fun. She's super organized and on top of it- kept this "type A" bride sane beforehand- stuck to the timeline, etc - all of the professional things you could ever ask for! She was flexible and supportive when we had to postpone from 2020 to 2021. And most importantly, the photos are absolutely spectacular! We love them and have gotten so so many compliments. If you are looking for a wedding photographer, hire Leigh!

Leigh Skaggs is a BOSS!

I have worked with Leigh before on other projects, so I knew when I got engaged we needed to snag her.

She was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond. She was great at directing everyone where they needed to be for family pictures and bridal party pictures. She made sure to get all shots that we wanted and then some.

She helped keep me calm when my ring bearer threw up all over my maid of honor 1.5 hours before the ceremony. She helped get the dress rinsed off and dried. There were still a few spots on it, but no one knew anything.

She was incredible, and we will forever recommend her to anyone and everyone. Photos are the only thing you have to look back on of that day. Pick the photographer that understands how important they are.

I would highly recommend Leigh Skaggs Photography to anyone who asked me, she truly was perfect for our wedding day. For me, when it comes to choosing a wedding photographer, there should be NO question who you should pick!! Leigh photographed my sister's wedding in May of 2018 and when we got engaged there was no question who we would choose. Even though we got married in the Annapolis, MD area and she is from the VA Beach area, she traveled here to photograph our special day. Everyone who attended our wedding commented how amazing our photos are, how fun Leigh and Kiki were to be around and how they captured every detail of our big day. The photos are how you will remember your wedding and we have absolutely gorgeous photos to remember ours!

Book leigh!

Leigh is hands down the most entertaining and talented photographer to work with. We found Leigh through a friend and were so enamored with her fun and spirited personality, she was one of the very first vendors we booked without a second thought. Whether scaling walls or stopping traffic, Leigh was always willing to go above and beyond for that one epic photo. Leigh (and Kiki!) made the entire photo experience on our wedding day incredibly straight forward and kept us entertained non-stop. Talented photographer and FUN to work with

Leigh is not only a very talented photographer, but her and her team are super fun to work with. She shot our engagement photos and our wedding. She made my husband and I feel very comfortable and she was incredibly flexible with our requests. Our wedding started late and she still managed to keep our photo timeline on track and get some amazing shots. She also got our wedding photos back to us so quickly! I think she is very reasonably priced for the packages she offers. I would hands down recommend Leigh to all couples looking for a professional, talented and FUN photographer to work with.

Passionate, Flexible, Determined, Quick, AMAZING

WOW! Leigh and her team made our wedding day complete and we are very pleased with all the photographs! Leigh is a very hands on person and is not afraid to do ANYTHING to get that perfect shot...even if it means laying wet/muddy grass to get the perfect moon shot under the tree and stars after send-off :) I heard of Leigh as she was the photographer at my friends wedding and she took an amazing picture in the RAIN and we not afraid to stop because of the rain, equipment and all. We wanted an outdoor wedding, but it had been raining all day and we were close to moving it indoors. I asked her if she wouldn't mind shooting in the rain for our ceremony and she said absolutely not! The rain ended up letting up a little and it couldn't have been more perfect, but she was more than willing and prepared to get a little wet! Her team works amazingly together and kept the wedding day and bridal party moving and on time. Not only were the pictures AMAZING, but she is also very easy to communicate with and responds to EVERY question quickly and respectfully. We absolutely LOVED having Leigh and her team (Devon, and Kiki) as a part of our wedding :D oh and in-between shots, Leigh is not afraid to get down and dance!

Best ever!

When it comes to wedding planning, there's so many decisions and choices to be made. Who to use as a photographer to capture our special day was not a decision we had to make. Hands down, it would be Leigh Skaggs!! Leigh has photographed many weddings I have been in and attended. Not to mention following along those friends and family members after their weddings for maternity photos, newborn shots, and family portraits. Her work is simply phenomenal. She is quick to respond, professional, yet fun and personable making you feel comfortable even in awkward or intimate moments. If you don't know how to pose or what to do with your hands like me, don't worry, she will show you and then she'll go above and beyond to get the best angle for the shot. We booked Leigh for our wedding date, Sept 15th. Unfortunately, due to Hurricane Florence my husband and I had to make a difficult decision to postpone our wedding to a later date - Oct 27. Devastated we had to change our plans, but grateful for one another, we still decided to wed that day on the beach with family and friends. Leigh was available for our reschedule date, but knew we planned to still marry on that Sept day and have our reception in Oct. Out of the kindness of her heart, she showed up at the beach and took incredible pictures of our ceremony. Her and her other shooters killed it again in Oct capturing every detail of our day from getting ready, to our first look, bridal party shots, family pictures, from dancing to our send off. Leigh is a shining star, and we could not imagine our wedding day without her! Our bridal party adored her and had so much fun taking photos. She was efficient and organized, immediately answering our many questions from day one and running the wedding day photos like a champ. We clicked right away, and she made our engagement shoot feel effortless. On the actual wedding day, her team was on it from the moment they arrived, capturing every little detail. When we talked to Leigh, from the very beginning we had an instant connection and a good vibe from her. When we decided to host a destination wedding the most important aspect for my, regarding vendors was the photographer and I wanted to make sure Leigh would come with us to Jamaica. When she said YES to the trip, LOL, we were super excited to have her with use, she is really easy to work with, cool, laid back, professional, she knows what she is doing.

She is worth every penny for the quality of her work and her personality which is a plus when working with a vendor.

Hold on while I break out my thesaurus, I want to use every possible adjective for awesome to describe Leigh. From the very first email she was always prompt to respond and she was just as quick in getting us our gorgeous photos. She and her second shooter (husband Jay) were a ton of fun! We would not have taken engagement photos if she hadn’t insisted and I am so glad that she did! They are stunning (and it turns out that we needed the practice before the wedding). Leigh helped us with the day of timeline and was on top of every moment from pre-ceremony to reception. Leigh was an absolute joy to work with as our wedding photographer. She has a way of making any person feel comfortable behind the camera, especially someone like myself who is not a huge fan of pictures! My husband and I knew Leigh was right for us because her go with the flow attitude and bubbly personality fit right in with our family & friends. Stop searching, you have found your photographer!! We absolutely loved working with Leigh (and husband Jay)! From the start Leigh was so easygoing. My husband and I had our engagement session with them while they were on THEIR vacation in NYC. They are too kind for letting us steal them away for a bit! We knew from the second we met them that they would be great and couldn't wait to see them again! Leigh is the perfect combination of fun and serious. She knows how and when to use both! Our bridal party was about 24 people plus little ones, and she handled the big group like a champ! During our ceremony you would have never noticed Leigh was there capturing the most beautiful photos - and during the reception, you would have thought she was a guest (in the best way)! Leigh got right in the action of the dancing and partying, and was able to capture images that perfectly described us and our day. I cried at how beautiful the photos turned out when I saw them. I can't thank her and Jay enough for not only the incredible photos we have that will last a lifetime, but for being by far the best people we had the privilege of working with! There are not enough words in the English vocabulary to describe how amazing Leigh and Jay are! Every single one of my wedding photography dreams were granted, AND THEN SOME! Not only did Leigh travel to Cancun, Mexico to photograph my entire wedding weekend, they blended right in like they were family. My friends and family still talk about how professional they both were, while still be able to kick back and relax, just like they were part of the family. One situation we all still talk about it how AMAZING Leigh and Jay are with going with the flow. My flower girls were getting pretty grumpy after the ceremony just when we wanted to take group shots. Leigh was literally not even phased at all, she worked with them and made them laugh and took amazing shots all while doing it. She made it look so effortless and easy. One quality about Leigh and Jay that also resonated with my husband and I, was there ability to stay calm, low stress and remain so positive and happy during the whole weekend. They make it feel so relaxed, they are truly professionals but they have a "we got this" vibe that just puts everything at ease. I can go on and on about Leigh and Jay but what proves it all, is the RESULT. There is not one photo that I do not absolutely love. Leigh takes risks with photos and she has no fear! I got into the water with my wedding dress for a post wedding day shoot and she was right there with me! In her bathing suit! Another quality about the way they shoot, they NEVER make it feel forced or awkward. You want to be happy and laugh because they are so funny and so care free! It makes it actually fun! Choosing Leigh and Jay to be a part of my wedding in Mexico was the best decision I made and I was in literal tears when I saw the finished product. Once your wedding is over, all you have left are your photos to keep the memory. Hiring Leigh and Jay was worth every penny and I recommend them to anyone and everyone I know!!

Leigh and her husband are a phenomenal team and down right nice people!! They were worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY. They were fun to work with and went above and beyond their duty. There were some issues with other staff and Leigh Skaggs Photography jumped right in and took control from the moment they arrived. Without them, I do not know how our day would have went! Additionally, they were great with friends and family who needed some guidance as tow here to go, how to stand, etc... The pictures are absolutely beautiful; more than I ever imagined. They look like they belong in a magazine!! They met every one of my requests and more. Her delivery time was very quick too (way sooner than I imagined). I highly recommend them to anyone in need!!

I'm taking a moment to say how BEAUTIFUL and dreamlike Leigh Skaggs Photography made our day in pictures!! From February 6, 2016 to June 17, 2017 • Leigh was an absolute dream. Leigh, Jay, and Devon (sorry if I spelled that wrong?!) were incredible and SO much fun!! We are all swooning over our wedding pictures from our March wedding in Richmond! Happy tears central :) They had everyone laughing and put everyone at ease...and definitely helped to keep me calm :) Not only were they capturing every happy moment, they essentially coordinated our whole day wedding day. They made sure everyone was where they needed to be and Jay even stepped up and sprinted to my bridal suite to grab my toss-bouquet for my reception before it was forgotten. Leigh and her team were AMAZING at our wedding and we received so many compliments on our photographers! I got to work with Leigh at my best friend's wedding a year earlier, and I knew I wanted her to be our wedding photographer. Leigh and her husband made us feel so comfortable, from the engagement pictures all the way through our wedding reception. She was extremely responsive to emails and always flexible! Her team caught every moment of our wedding from all angles, moments we would have never gotten to see if it weren't for the awesome photos! We absolutely adore Leigh and her husband (Jay)! They shot our wedding on 11-19-16 & it was so much fun. I wanted outdoor photos & beach photos (yes, at the end of November!) & Leigh made that dream a reality. She also found a gorgeous spot for more outdoor photos once we finished at the beach.

We had joked about Leigh having a time machine & being able to bend time so nothing could throw our photo timeline off track, but it was also like Leigh had a magical transportation device that took us far away from my hometown. We found a beach spot that looked like we were on a tropical island. I never dreamed that we would find such amazing spots for photos right here in our hometown! Leigh is extremely passionate about photography and she has so much positive, bright energy.

My husband & I both went into our wedding day being a little camera shy, but that faded away immediately when we met Leigh. If you want a photographer who will do an amazing job & make all of your worries melt away, definitely choose Leigh & Jay! Their warm personalities made us feel as if we had known them for years, despite meeting them in person for the first time on our wedding day.

Leigh got our photos to us in record time after the wedding & she was always just a phone call or a text away. Not only did I find a photographer in Leigh, but I also found a new friend!

Leigh is amazing!! She is incredibly fun to work with and the pictures were just astounding. We had a great time with her and is just so much fun that we were instantly comfortable with her and could easily be ourselves.

We ended up with some truly breathtaking and very romantic pictures, and tons of great candids from every part of day. She also does a REALLY great job with "details" pictures, the ones of rings, objects, etc. We just loved going through all of the pictures afterward, and have done so several times since our wedding, because she did so well capturing the emotion and all of the important moments that we basically felt like we got to relive it all again.

I cannot say enough good things about her and honestly even if she wasn't our photographer I think we would have liked to have her at the wedding anyway!

I seriously cannot say enough great things about Leigh. She and Jay were so wonderful! She did such an amazing job with our engagement pictures. She was great at making my husband and I comfortable enough for the camera. Because of her, we finally have amazing family pictures with our furbabies. She was able to capture all of the moments that I wanted during the wedding and some more! All of our wedding pictures turned out beautiful and she definitely made it hard for us to choose which ones to print. :) Very quick turnaround for pictures. She was able to calm me down and help me not worry when I was running a little behind for the wedding ceremony. She definitely moves fast and was able to take great detail pictures of my dress, jewelry, shoes, etc. She is someone that I definitely want to be present to capture new moments as our new family grows.

Have you ever met someone and thought, “Yup, we’re going to get along swell.” When my wife and I hired Leigh and Jay to shoot our wedding we both had this thought and realized this was one of the best decisions we made (except for you know, getting married).
Leigh was very thorough in preparing to shoot our wedding. She had us fill out some quick wedding questionnaires, desired photo lists, and then had a meeting with us over Skype to chat about what we wanted and all the extra things we may have wanted photographed but may not have thought to mention. Leigh’s attention to detail is simply incredible, and her ability to recall information about the wedding after a brief conversation was frankly remarkable.
On the day of the wedding we were pleased with their laid back shooting style that put even the most camera shy person at ease. They came with a plan for shooting bridal party and family photos, and went with the flow when things got held up with other parts of the wedding. They kept us on our timeline and made sure we had everything we requested.
The photos that Leigh and Jay took are absolutely stunning. Leigh’s ability to find, and on occasion make, pretty light is one of the many things that make her an exceptional photographer. They also indulged our nerdy, playful side throughout the day (#lightsaber) and we had a lot of fun hanging out with them. It is important that you like your wedding photographer, you spend a lot of time with them on your wedding day. If you want stellar pictures and like to have fun and laugh a lot, I would suggest you go with Leigh and Jay.

Leigh is phenomenal, she knows when to listen to what you *think you want* and yet how to interpret what you say with what you're actually going for. When I was like, hey I only want unposed candid photos she did that and showed me what I had asked for in comparison to her gentle posing. *AHEM. perfectly candid 100% wasn't what I wanted, she knew what I wanted - natural looking, beautiful photos that made two people who hate photos of themselves look their absolute best. Our wedding photos came back within 2 weeks of the wedding and they were UNBELIEVABLY gorgeous. We looked better than ourselves because a simple "pull this shoulder forward a little, place your weight on that back leg, etc etc." she didn't change what we were doing or what we were going for, she made us look phenomenal doing the things we wanted! Everyone looked great! Leigh and her sweet hubby KILLED it. 10/10 would absolutely repeat!

I was so impressed with the work of Leigh and her team at a friends wedding that it was if the utmost importance that I had to make her a part of my wedding. Leigh is AMAZING! Photography for our wedding was something my now husband and I took very seriously. These pictures are of the most important day of our lives and we wanted to make sure we had an experienced photographer who could capture them, afterall, its one day and you get one shot! We spent hours researching photographers. After reading all the outstanding reviews on Leigh, we reached out to her to set up a meeting. We met with her and feel in love with her personality and work, we signed a contract that night! It was the best decision we could have made! She exceeded all of our expectations and is so wonderful to work with! She will keep you smiling and laughing throughout the whole day too! Leigh was fabulous! I knew the moment that I met her that I had found the perfect photographer to capture our special day. Leigh is very enthusiastic, creative, kind and so much fun to work with! She was great with communicating with me and keeping me in the loop about everything. Any questions I had about anything she was prompt with responses. She was pumped with our theme being just as big as a Disney/Harry Potter nerd as we are! Leigh is incredible to work with. Not only are her photos incredible, but working with her and her husband is as well.
She is fully committed to making this a stress free and fun experience. Since we did a small eloping ceremony we spent
two hours one-on-one with Leigh and really got to know her and how she operates.
It was a blast! From first contacting her to getting our album back has been nothing but a great experience, and for the level of quality you

Leigh is such an incredibly talented photographer! We were so happy to have her and her crew capture our wonderful day. She was so accommodating to our crazy schedules, and happy to come up to Williamsburg for both our engagement shoot and our wedding. Leigh made sure to get all of the shots we asked for – and plenty more! She helped take charge of the often-distracted wedding party to effectively get the pictures done before the sun went down. Leigh Skaggs was absolutely fantastic! From the very beginning, our initial meeting was enjoyable, fun, informative, and timely. I initially enjoyed the style of photography. Then we went to do our engagement photos with our two boxers in 95 degree heat and actually had a good time! Leigh has a way of controlling the session to get good shots, not waste time, and make it fun. My father was so impressed with her at the wedding, he couldn't stop talking about how smoothly she kept everything moving. I then got a photo preview the day after of some of her favorite shots. I am looking forward to recommending Leigh to everyone I know and will be using her for any life events requiring photos.

We used Leigh for our engagement, rehearsal dinner, and wedding photos. Do not hesitate to book Leigh as your wedding photographer. First, she is extremely organized, professional, friendly, and fun! She ensured the wedding day ran smoothly and efficiently. She took all the photos we requested - and so many more! I have been in several weddings and I have never seen a more organized family portrait session - Leigh's organization allowed us plenty of time to enjoy cocktail hour! Additionally, we had so.much.fun with Leigh! Your photographer is the one person you spend the majority of your wedding day with, so you want to actually enjoy being around the person! That wasn't an issue with Leigh and her great team. Leigh also had a fast turnaround for her photos! You can tell she worked very hard to get them done within a reasonable amount of time after the wedding (I've heard horror stories about other photographers taking forever to finish wedding photos months after the event). Next, and most importantly, the photos Leigh took were GORGEOUS. I don't think anyone else could have captured all the love, joy, and pretty-ness that day better than Leigh did. I have SO many favorite photos, and she really helped bring the memories of the day to life. She even managed to capture some shots of the bald eagle that flew in front of our guests as the ceremony was starting!! Finally, the value for Leigh's photos is incomparable. Leigh is VERY reasonably priced for the quality of photography that she produces and what she includes in her packages. Leigh was definitely our favorite vendor!!

Leigh was an absolute pleasure to work with! She was fun to work with and easy going, but she was also very professional and organized. She kept on top of all of the different group photos so that we could get them done quickly and get back to enjoying our wedding. She really knows what she’s doing and was so helpful throughout the entire day. And the photographs are beautiful and the best quality. In addition to all of the photos of my husband and me, I loved all of the photos of the event, from the décor and food to great shots of our guests enjoying the wedding. We also had a great time with Leigh shooting engagement photos. I would highly recommend Leigh as a photographer, she did a fantastic job!

Leigh was hands down one of the best decisions we made. She is so professional, responsive and ridiculously on time if not early! In a sea of vendors that can take a while to respond (even after not so gentle prodding) Leigh was a breath of fresh air she would ALWAYS reach back out to me within 24 hours. When we told her where we wanted to take our engagement pictures not only did she wholeheartedly agree, but she already had so many awesome idea on how to pose us to take full advantage of the surrounding neighborhood and scenery. She is the most down to earth woman and she made us feel comfortable the instant we met her. We originally thought taking pictures would be weird and make us feel stiff, but with Leigh it was seriously a breeze and even really fun! On our wedding she even maneuvered around our crazy family and made it look effortless even though is was probably 800 degrees. On both occasions (engagement and wedding) we had the sneak peek within a day and fully edited pictures within a week.
Leigh is an absolute blessing during the storm that is wedding planning. I highly recommend her to anyone and everyone!

Where do I even begin? Leigh Skaggs is not only an amazing photographer, but an amazing person too! Leigh and Jay make the perfect team and they will document your special day to perfection! They know how to keep the show going regardless of the situation. It rained buckets on April 25th, but Leigh still captured our wedding beautifully and even got the perfect rain shot at night!! Everyone is in love with it and I have heard many people say they have never seen anything like it! We fell in love with Leigh Skaggs reviews and pictures online. I gave her a call and then we fell in love with her! The pictures are amazing!

I will admit... The thought of someone taking pictures of us for almost 8 hours was awkward, but Leigh has a wonderful personality and she made the whole experience so easy. She captured every detail and every moment, which is a good thing because our wedding day is a blur.

We just got our pictures back this morning and we can relive every moment just by looking through them. What an amazing experience.

We also loved the free engagement session. It was a great way to meet her and know what to expect so things went smoothly on our big day.

Hiring Leigh and her crew was by far and away one of the best decisions we made during what could have been a stressful and intensive wedding planning process. With Leigh, it was none of those things. In reality, we hired a photographer but gained a friend.

From the business perspective, she is everything you would want: communicative, responsive, clear, timely, understands and meets your expectations, and delivers an amazing product.

From an artistic perspective, Leigh is amazing. She makes taking pictures seem effortless and really puts you at ease. She has a way of capturing the perfect moment in the perfect way. Neither my husband nor I like having our pictures taken, and she helped capture the best "us." The bonus is that she is just plain fun to be around and doesn't take herself too seriously, which helped take the stress out of being in the spotlight all day.

We are thrilled with the photos and wholeheartedly recommend Leigh to anyone considering hiring her to capture their special events. You absolutely won't regret it! She's supremely talented.

A photographer is such a crucial part of the wedding process, any event for that matter. The caterer can mess up (mine did), but you cant tell anything went wrong that day because I have beautiful pictures! The attention to detail Leigh, her husband Jay and team member Megan provided was so amazing. I had a list of pictures I wanted and we got everyone of them! Leigh is passionate about what she does and it shows. She's constantly laughing and having a great time! Her charisma is contagious and shows in her pictures! You cant help but smile the most natural fun smile! My husband is not one to smile for pictures and really hates having his picture taken period, but he has already said any picture that needs to be taken for family or events will only be done with Leigh! Leigh really is willing to do whatever it takes for the perfect shot, with perfect lighting... she may have gotten a tick for our engagement session :) Her professionalism shows in every aspect of her work from the first phone call to having our proofed pictures a week after being taken! Leigh is absolutely fantastic to work with. I can't say enough good things about her as a photographer. She approaches every problem with a "can-do" attitude, and is all around a little tower of power full of positive energy while she shoots. She was so comfortable and put our subjects so much at ease that even my older brother, who never smiles for anyone, was hamming it up and having a good time.

Right from the start, Leigh was very responsive in answering my emails as I asked for availability and we got the contract signed. We're not that local to Norfolk but Leigh was able to Skype with us and get everything settled. That went off without a hitch, and we met halfway between us for our engagement session, which went great.

The day of the wedding, Leigh showed up right on time with her husband Jay and a third shooter, Alisz. All three of them did a great job capturing the energy and love in the air in every picture, they took every shot that we requested of them, and even their candids look really good. They even helped us out moving chairs from one ceremony location to another when the need arose!

Leigh's subjects are always crisp and clear in her photographs, and the quality is really top notch. She posted a "sneak peek" of our pictures just a couple days after the wedding, and delivered all of her pictures to us, in high quality, less than two weeks after the event.

Overall, I'd recommend Leigh wholeheartedly for any wedding, and I'm certain we'll continue to use her services as we have kids and the like.

If you are looking for a photographer in the hampton roads area, consider Leigh Skaggs. She photographed my wedding and I was thrilled with her work! Not only is she an amazing photographer, but she is a wonderful person. From the moment you meet her, she makes you feel as if you're already friends. She is very punctual and organized. Her assistant photographers are also great. She has a really good eye and takes beautiful photos. Her photo packages are also an excellent value. She completed the proofs from the wedding much faster than I thought they'd be ready. I received disks of my photos and photo album and the packaging and quality was excellent. The memories she captured are something I will always treasure. I would highly recommend Leigh Skaggs and would certainly hire her again!

I could not have picked a better photographer. Leigh was always so professional but made our experience so memorable with her warmth and enthusiasm! She truly loves what she does and it is apparent. She makes you feel beautiful and happy with her charismatic personality. She gives great tips on how to pose to get the best photos. Her prices are also very reasonable. Leigh and her team are absolutely wonderful! They did a fantastic job making everyone in the wedding feel comfortable and excited. My husband is not one for photographs and she was able to pull a terrific smile out of him in every shot. She was so easy and flexible to work with throughout the process. I just received my discs today and they were wrapped in a beautiful package and the cases were photographs of my husband and me! very cool. HIGHLY recommend using her as your wedding photographer. My husband is a wedding photographer so he was very picky about who he wanted to shoot ours. Leigh nailed it right on the head!!! She was fun and goofy but still managed to keep us all organized and events flowing. She has quality photos and gives you printing rights so you don't pay an arm and leg for one printed photo.

She was flexible as well about what photos we wanted, where we wanted to take them, and who we wanted captured. She even makes a study sheet of the bridal party and immediate family to study before the wedding. Using names instead of "hey you" makes things so much easier because we all know wedding days are chaos!

My husband and I have nothing but positive reviews for Leigh Skaggs and you would be foolish NOT to use her!!

I can't rave about Leigh Skaggs enough!! We made the BEST choice by getting her to do our wedding photos. To start, she is a professional and has excellent follow-up. I waited a week to first meet with her (worth it!) because she was going to a photography conference; she's always learning new things and staying on top of the field.
She has great enthusiasm for everything she does, and her fun and relaxed approach toward photography puts her clients in a great mood. I've worked with her on 3 separate occasions now: my engagement session, my wedding, and a large extended family session the following day. Everyone involved loved Leigh and her husband/assistant Jay. She can get great photos of all kinds of people, even those who claim to not be photogenic, and she also has a great artistic eye for natural, unplanned moments. While we were doing our group photos on the beach, she got an amazing photo of a flock of pelicans at sunset.
Leigh is also very personable. She gave us realistic expectations of how everything would work on the day of the wedding, and sure enough everything went smoothly. After the wedding, when she heard that we were going to honeymoon in Colorado, she recommended that we go to her friend's restaurant (www.loladenver.com), connected us with the owner to make a reservation, and it turned out to be the best dinner we had on our vacation!
All in all, Leigh is a great person and a great photographer. She's fun, professional, always on time, and she will deliver gorgeous photos every time without fail. I hope she's still doing this in a few years when I have kids so that she can do another family session! :)

Leigh was so wonderful!! From our awesome engagement photos to the wedding photos that were all superb!! My husband wasn't really excited about getting his picture taken but after all was said and done he didn't mind at all!! What else can I say about this company besides AMAZING! Leigh and her husband Jay were there to shoot my special day and I could not have asked for more. They were professional beyond belief while still being personable and funny. The months leading up to the wedding went easily because Leigh always responded quickly and with enthusiasm. They both arrived to our venue before anyone else did and Leigh was so excited once we started taking pictures. Her excitement for the wedding meant everything to us and it really helped make our day extra special. The photos are just beyond beautiful, incomparable. Every photo is so crystal clear and perfect, it's like you're reliving that moment every time you look at them. Leigh was amazing to work with. From the moment we reserved her services for our wedding day, she was responsive and easy to work with.

The day of the wedding she not only took amazing and creative shots, she also worked with the other vendors, such as the DJ and wedding planner to ensure the day went smoothly. This was above and beyond and much appreciated.

Days after the wedding we were able to view a preview of the pictures on her blog, this was extremly fun for us on our honeymoon! The blog was beautiful with very fun commentary, my friends and family enjoyed it as much as we did!

It took a short 4 weeks for editing (which was exactly what was promised) for all of the pictures to be available for viewing online. Other friends who have married resently agreed with me that this is very fast!

There were different packages to choose from that were all of great value. We decided to choose the package that includes an album and CDs containing all of the pictures. I am so glad this is what we decided! The CDs came in a beautiful, extremly high quality case, which the cover and back was another picture of my husband and I! The CDs themselves also were printed with pictures of my husband and I. Between the CD case and the CDs, its really a great keepsake. And then there is the album! The cover and pages are very high quality. Leigh involved me in the process of creating the album, from choosing the pictures, layout and the adorable protective satin case it comes in. So much fun. Whenever we show it to family and friends they have the same comment, that it is the best wedding album they have ever seen!

I would recommend Leigh Skaggs Photography to anyone looking for a photograper. In addition to weddings, she does family portriats.

She traveled to Clarksville, VA from Norfolk for our wedding, which was also wonderful of her.

I would highly recommend Leigh and her team! My family, friends and I all loved them. We loved the photo's and couldn't be happier. Not only are the pictures great quality, but Leigh is a pleasure to work with. I was also pleased with the pricing on all the packages. From the begining Leigh was very responsive and easy to work with. My Husband isn't a big fan of having is photo taken, but with Leigh, he was great...they were even able to talk sports together. One of the things I loved most about Leigh, was that she attended our dress rehearsal. On our big day she not only knew the venue, inside and out, but she memorized everyone's name's!!!! Leigh was an excellent choice for our wedding photographer. Our experience with Leigh was phenomenal! She was wonderful at making us feel comfortable and she was excellent with the children in our wedding party, as well! A few things that really stuck out to me about the experience were: 1) She came early to scope out the venue and assess where she could take the best shots, 2) She captured every shot on my list of photographs I wanted, 3) She made all of us feel special and beautiful and 4) She was fun to be around (which is important if you're going to spend the whole day around someone at your wedding)! Leigh Skaggs is AMAZING!! I could never say enough positive comments about her and her side-kick husband. They both joined us for our destination wedding to Mexico and were there to capture every memorable event. My favorite session was the trash the dress session which was so fun and turned out beautiful. She has great attention to detail and took the time to scope out the resort to find the perfect places to take pictures, places I never even noticed. She took the time to come meet our friends and family before our trip and made extra effort to learn everyone's names and how they were related to us.

She was such a joy to work with, extremely responsive, was very open to ideas from us and my mom, in particular. She just fit right in with our crazy fun families and friends. She was absolutely perfect, I do not have a single criticism. I can't wait to work with her more to create our album and in the future to capture all of our exciting moments to come.

I was first recommended to Mrs. Skaggs about 4yrs ago. She photographed both my daughter and I on two separate occassions on the beach and in a flower garden. I was very impressed with her artistry and attention to detail and the way she was able to capture natural elements in the background. One of my favorite pictures she has taken was of my daughter holding a rose. The entire picture was black and white and the rose was the only element of color. Its absolutely beautiful and unique! We get compliments on it all the time. I was very pleased with her professionalism, and quality of work so much that I trusted and used her services again to take my engagement and wedding pictures. Once again they were breath taking! Mrs. Skaggs friendliness and professionalism is the reason that I will continue to use her services in the future.
