Leigh Is Amazing!!!

Leigh was absolutely amazing!! We hired Leigh as our wedding photographer, and she did engagement photos for us as well. She is not only an amazing and sweet person, but her pictures came out AMAZING!! We had a large wedding party (10 bridesmaids, 11 groomsman) and she was so patient and professional with managing such a large group. We had the best time taking pictures with Leigh and her second shooter Alicia, which made the hours of pictures on our wedding day such an enjoyable experience!! We just received sneak peeks from our wedding day and I am blown away with how amazing they look! Our wedding day was extremely windy, and based on the pictures we have seen so far you would not have even known thanks to Leigh and her expert photography skills! We couldn't recommend Leigh enough, and we are so happy we had her to photograph the most important day of our lives!

Leigh is above and beyond amazing

I can't even fully put into words how amazing Leigh is. Leigh has all the characteristics of a great photographer: organized, punctual, talented, friendly, etc. But Leigh is way more than all of those, she is such a sweet person with a bright light. Leigh made me feel so comfortable and calm the day of the wedding. She was so confident in what she was doing that I didn't even stress what shots she was getting. I just enjoyed my night and when I got my full gallery I was in tears I was so happy. Leigh didn't know my guests personally but somehow managed to capture relationships and sweet moments, some I missed during the wedding. Several guests came to tell me after how much they loved Leigh, not only for her talent but her sweet personality. My only complaint is there are so many gorgeous pictures I don't know how I can fit every one of them on the walls of my house haha. Leigh is amazing and I'm so thankful for the beautiful memories she captured for us on our special day.

Truly Amazing!

Leigh was truly a pleasure to work with, both at our engagement shoot and on our big day! Neither one of us was used to being photographed professionally and she was able to direct us in a way that felt very natural and comfortable. We are so thrilled with the pictures and had a lot of fun in the process! Everyone in our wedding party agreed that Leigh and Katie were fantastic and brought great energy to the wedding festivities!

The perfect person to capture your day

If there’s one thing I can promise, you will not regret hiring Leigh as your photographer for your special day. Leigh captured each moment of our wedding day so perfectly. From first look, to first kiss, to our sparkler exit as husband and wife. In each picture you can see the love and happiness in our eyes. We get to look back on these photos and someday show our children what a truly magical day it was. Leigh makes you feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera, which makes it a lot easier to be your natural self and not feel forced or posed. She is just an all around kind person as well. And she has quick turn around time so you get to swoon over your dreamy pictures sooner! I will definitely hire Leigh to capture all our big life events over and over again. I cannot say thank you enough!!!

I can’t say enough good things about Leigh. Coming from out of town was stressful and she took any extra stress off of my plate by being so amazing. She answered all of my questions, kept us ahead of schedule, and had a granola bar when I was starving! She is amazing and her pictures are everything we could have dreamed of and more.

Leigh is a joy!

We used Leigh for our daughter’s wedding. From start to finish she was wonderful! Leigh is quick to respond, very organized, and easy to work with. My daughter is not a fan of photos, but Leigh put her at ease and really captured her personality. After the wedding, my husband said “I hope her pictures are as great as she was!”. Leigh did not disappoint! The photos were ready in just a few weeks and all of them were beautiful. I would not hesitate to use Leigh again. She is a joy!

Such an amazing photographer!

From the first time that I spoke with Leigh over the phone I knew that she was going to be wonderful to work with. Her pictures speak for themselves but her personality was the icing on the cake! The natural light that Leigh uses for her pictures just enhance all of the beautiful details that she captures. We had our engagement session with Leigh and right away she made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. When she arrived on our wedding day, she was full of energy and positivity. She got our wedding pictures back to us in three weeks, which is amazing! Her work is so beautiful and I cannot recommend her enough. We have gotten so many compliments on how beautiful our wedding photos are.

Everything you could ever want in a photographer

Leigh is everything you could ever want in a photographer. She is classically trained (a rarity these days) and has so much experience — every single photo she took at my bachelorette party was amazing. We had a small group of women and two entertainers with a lot of movement and action going on, and Leigh was able to take stunning candid *and* posed photos of every person, capturing each personality perfectly through her work. Not only are her images beautiful, but she also made the party much more fun; she always had a smile on her face, was laughing and mingling, and even tried on wigs with us and had a glass of champagne with the girls at my request. :) I'm so excited to have such beautiful memories captured of such a fun, special night.

Felt more like a true FRIEND photographing our wedding day!

Leigh is unlike anyone you will ever meet. With her genuinely sweet nature, she is sure to win you over with her caring attention to detail...I know that’s what happened for me! You will feel more as if a true friend is photographing you on what is sure to be one of the most special days of your life! It’s easy to hire someone and expect them to merely take pictures. But Leigh goes above and beyond that. She actually CARES about you and your fiancé, and is there holding your hand ever single step of the way during the wedding planning process to make things as stress free as possible. Heck, we even took trips to AR Workshop together to make signs for the wedding AND we got our daughters together during the summer for a playdate...Like I said before, she will turn into a true friend for you!!

Not only does she possess a wonderful personality, but she also is DYNAMITE WITH HER PHOTOS! SHE DOES NOT MISS A MOMENT! She WILL capture those “candid” moments during your wedding day and she makes everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. She is quick, efficient, and everyone on my wedding day loved her. My husband was blown away by her professionalism and personality- and my entire family raved about how gorgeous the photos were. She's even written us a handwritten letter to thank US for letting her capture our moments...what a sweet soul! Do yourselves a favor and book Leigh Hayward for your wedding photos and engagement photos. It will be one less thing you’ll need to worry about because trust me, she is going to capture every moment you could ever hope for!!

Couldn't be happier!

Leigh was recommended to us by another photographer I found online who was booked for the weekend of our wedding (a friend of hers)… I’m so happy that she was because she really did a fantastic job, and I truly can’t say enough good things about both her personality and her work! We basically planned a destination wedding to Charleston in less than 6 weeks (which is very stressful, as you may imagine), and Leigh went out of her way to make sure she was as helpful and prepared as she could be. I honestly knew I had made the right decision in choosing her from the moment we first spoke on the phone. For example, she had online forms to fill out identifying which photos to make sure were included (ex: family combinations, closeups of items) and requested the names of everyone in each photo combination. It all paid off as I felt comfortable knowing we didn’t miss any shots and she impressed everyone by calling people by their names during the shoot. She also remained SO helpful and positive throughout the whole process and used humor to keep everyone laughing and smiling during the photo shoot after our ceremony. We also had a rather difficult venue to find all the “perfect shots” (Angel Oak Tree) as there were LOTS of people walking around behind us in front of the tree – she was so patient in waiting for people to walk by and even blurred some people out of the photos before she sent them to us.. which was not required but was so appreciated! The edited photos came to us only a few days after the ceremony. Besides her great character, patience, and ability to work so well under less than ideal situations, she really did exceed our expectations in her attention to detail both in the photos and in making sure we had the perfect day. The pictures turned out SO beautiful, I honestly want to print every single one of them and will cherish them forever :) Finally, not only was she extremely talented, personable, kind, detailed, and prompt in her responses to questions while planning and at the venue.. I found her very affordable for either longer/larger weddings or very small weddings like ours (we had 15 people and ended up hiring her for 2 hours) and willing to work with you to find the perfect package. I truly cannot recommend Leigh enough and guarantee if you hire her you will be incredibly grateful you did!

Leigh is such an amazing photographer. She is very down to earth and knows how to make you feel comfortable. Leigh photographed my husband and I for both our engagement session and our wedding day. The photos are so beautiful and she finishes them so quickly. She truly goes above and beyond and we plan to make her our permanent photographer!

Leigh was amazing the day of our wedding! She was incredibly friendly, flexible, organized, and reliable. Leigh listened to what my husband and I were looking for in our wedding pictures, and she went above and beyond to make the process easy and stressfree. She was fun to work with and adapted seamlessly when the weather was cold, cloudy, and even raining! She brought a clear umbrella for my husband and I to share, and those were some of my favorite shots. Leigh is not only one of the nicest and down to earth people I have met but she is also an amazing photographer. She makes you feel comfortable and will tell you exactly how to pose to get the perfect shot. My fiancé and I visited Charleston and Leigh took our engagement photos for us. She spent so much time making sure our photos would come out perfect and was extremely accommodating since it was on and off raining all day she was able to come as soon as it stopped raining and we were able to get our photos in. She also knew all of the perfect spots in Charleston to get amazing photos and really capture the city. I seriously can not recommend her more!

Wow! Leigh was unbelievably professional, knowledgeable, and completely a dream to work with! We had Leigh photograph our wedding last Friday (3.23.18) and she was amazing! She was super personally, funny, professional and so passionate. Her energy gets everyone excited and is contagious. Leigh was so wonderful to work with. She had great ideas for when the lighting would be just right, was so helpful in providing documents we could fill out to make sure she captured exactly what we wanted, and absolutely delivered with on the day of. I must say I first called her because of her incredible prices and fell in love after talking with her. We had a small wedding so having someone there that felt like family was important, and once again Leigh delivered. Would recommend her to anyone, 10/10.

I honestly cannot say enough about Leigh. She was professional, personable, kind, and the photos were amazing! She took the time to ensure all of the important moments were captured into beautiful memories for years to come. Leigh was excellent and I would highly recommend her. She assisted with many aspects of the wedding....not just photography...and gave us several value pointers. She visited our venue twice in advance of the actual wedding day to familiarize herself with the ideal locations to take various photographs. She worked tirelessly the day of the wedding and many people commented on how much she seemed to be enjoying her work. She has posted a dozen or so photos on her Facebook page currently and we look forward to seeing all of the other photographs. You would be hard pressed to find a more personable and professional photographer.

Leigh is so awesome!! From the time I called her to the actual ceremony she was so great! She is extremely pleasant and sweet. Leigh was an absolute joy to work with. She was completely professional.; she is calm and makes you feel relaxed. She is very creative in her shots and gets great pictures when you don't even know she's taking them. I have seen a few weddings that Leigh has done and mine did not disappoint! Leigh was prompt and attentive and worked seamlessly during the day of events. She made sure to capture all the photos I had put in a "like" folder prior to the event. I also very much liked that each photo is given to you in both color and black and white format. Her turn around time is exceptional - it took less than 2 weeks to get our photos back! I can't believe other people wait months. I would definitely recommend her in the future and am very pleased with the quantity, variety, and quality of our photos.

I can not say enough wonderful things about Leigh and her photography! I contacted Leigh a few months prior to my wedding, after finding her name in a local magazine. You could tell she just knew how to capture the most memorable moments of your day. After the first few minutes of speaking to her, I knew that I wanted her to be apart of our wedding! She was easy to communicate my wants to, so personable, listened, and made sure to understand our wishes for the big day. She was very easy to touch base with over the months leading up as well. My wedding was a destination so the first time meeting Leigh was 2 hours before the wedding! However, she exceeded my expectations. Leigh was so kind, low key, and had an approach that made her taking pictures not seem over whelming in the slightest, something many do not want on the big day! She knew exactly how to capture all the right moments, make it stress-free, quick and easy. Most importantly, she was fun and warm to be around. All of my guests adored her and could not say enough positive things about her. The photos from our wedding (John+Kate Brimm) speak to her outstanding talent taking wedding pictures. We got them back within 2 weeks of when we were married! Talk about fast. They were flawless and every day I look at them, I am able to re-live my favorite day through her pictures which means the world. With the package we bought, Leigh also created this fabulous leather bound book, not just filled with her pictures, but organized in a way that tells the story of our wedding beautifully. From the getting ready, to family pictures, speeches, first dance, father/daughter meet. It is perfect.
I could go on and on but trust me when I say, you want Leigh to be your photographer if you are planning a wedding on Hilton Head Island, Charleston, or where ever for that matter in South Carolina! She is simply amazing and you will love the work she does and just her in general!

Leigh is not only a good photographer but was great to work with! Having a destination wedding can be stressful but she was easy to work with. She was very prompt in replying back and making sure she understood we are on the same page when it comes to expectations and schedule for the day of the wedding. Leigh was incredible to work with. From the initial consultation she was very professional and helped us with referrals for other vendors. I highly recommend her services for any type of photography that you may need. Her prices were reasonable and the final product was perfect. The turn around time to get the CD was very fast also! I will definitely use her in the future.

WOW!!! Leigh was an absolute jewel to work with on my special day. For an OCD, very organized bride she really worked with me before the wedding to make sure I had everything in place that I had wished for on the day of my wedding. She put up with me and my constant needs and never once complained about it. She was very attentive to everything. My family even complemented her work and her sweet personality several times throughout the night and several days after the wedding. She not only is affordable for a bride on a tight budget but she creates absolute masterpieces! As an out of town bride I could have NOT asked for someone any better. I mean it!!!! Amazing!!!

Leigh has an excellent eye for photographing events and capturing those special moments! Her relaxed personality blends well with all family members, yet she still gets the job done. Leigh, and her assistant Erin, were amazing! We booked her way in advance, and I met her at the rehearsal dinner. Leigh then spent the big day with the girls, and we had a blast! Everything went so smoothly, and Leigh was such a joy to hang out with. I loved the creativity she used in capturing moments. My girls had a blast with her, and my now-husband said Erin was wonderful working with the guys. Everything flowed and was natural--no staged pictures with frozen smiles. We loved spending our day with Leigh, and truly love our pictures!

Leigh was awesome. I'm not a person who likes to be in front of a camera, but she was so down to earth that there was nothing to be nervous or self conscious about. Leigh captured some very tender moments that I otherwise would never have gotten to see, she was always in the right place at the right time. Just perfect for our special occasion! I'm so glad that we had Leigh's help shooting our wedding!

The photos turned out fabulous, and she really took into account the idea of catching wedding details (with such a busy day, sometimes even the bride/groom/family members don't even see what they created!). I'd asked for a few items/moments/scenes to be photographed that were not on her list of photos, and she did a great job. I'm really happy with the images that we received.

Leigh was fantastic! She spent the whole day with us from makeup to the close of the reception taking all sorts of special requests from my demanding relatives. The pictures are gorgeous and I can't believe how quickly (just over a week) she got us the digital proofs!! I can't recommend her high enough!!!

We could not have been more pleased with our wedding photographer. Leigh was professional from beginning to end. She is quick to spot great candids, in addition to making the more formal family photographs look great. She knows how to deal with people and creates a relaxed atmosphere that allows her to capture everyone at their best.
Lots of people at our wedding commented on her abilities even before they saw the great results of the photos she created. She is a "Photographer with a Heart and Eye" for sure.

Working with Leigh was an absolute pleasure! She was so much more than a photographer to us- she helped with details throughout the day, and everyone loved her. Leigh was wonderful! The only problems we encountered had to do with the development of some photos that other people bought. The quality was not good. We let Leigh know as well as the developers and we got new pictures that turned out better. Other than that, everything was great.

I can't say enough about Leigh Hayward Photography! Leigh did such an amazing job. From our engagement photos to our wedding photos, Leigh gave us great photos to remember this special time in our life. She was very accommodating, professional, fun to work with, and affordable. I continue to receive so many compliments on our wedding photos. They have been compared to the quality of "bridal magazine" photos due to the superb quality and variety of good shots Leigh was able to capture.
