  Legion of Honor was my dream wedding venue. We reserved our wedding date one year in advance (when they start opening dates), paid the deposit, and started hiring vendors. Eight months before our wedding, we were told that they no longer could host our wedding because one of the art directors determined they wanted to book an exhibit (a very uncharacteristic one for the venue and one that would not allow food or beverage) in the galleries. It was devastating.
  
  Our wedding planner said she had never experienced anything like this and was also appalled with how they handled the situation. While they created significant stress and quite the scramble for us, they did refund our deposit and a few fees we incurred that were non-refundable.
