Lea was absolutely amazing!! From my trial makeup, where she made me feel so comfortable and relaxed when I was so nervous. To my wedding day where she kept me so upbeat when there was some distractions going on around me! She did an absolutely amazing job! She was so incredibly sweet and made my makeup so much better than I could have possibly dreamed of!! I am definitely a natural-makeup girl, and rarely wear any makeup normally, and she was able to make me look super natural but elevated! I am also a sweater, and my makeup stayed on all night!! I was drenched in sweat by the end of the night, and my makeup still looked so good!! I got to the hotel and was so surprised on how well everything help up, with how much I had sweat!! My makeup was stunning, and Lea was an absolute dream to work with!! Thank you so much Lea!!!

Amazing hair and makeup that looks beautiful your entire evening. 11/10
Lea is an amazing makeup & hair artist. Not only is she is masterful with her work but she's also fun to chat with. I was a bit nervous before our trial session but she put me at ease and I ended up having a fun and relaxing time at our session. She did a beautiful job curling my hair and it lasted 10 hours without feeling completely crunchy due to all the hair spray, which completely surprised me. She took her time make sure all the curls in my hair looked perfect even though my hair was very long meaning it took over an hour to curl. I got tons of compliments on it both times I wore it.
I loved the makeup look she did and the advise she gave about getting adjusted to seeing yourself in a full face of makeup for the first time. Before our trial session I had never had my makeup professionally done before so it was a bit jarring to see myself looking so different but she assured me it was all normal and let me know I was free to make any adjustments if i wanted to. For my wedding day I chose to change the my brow style and lip color and she was totally cool with my changes. I loved how flexible and understanding she was with the changes I chose and me getting used to full hair and makeup. Despite my initial nerves getting my hair and makeup done for the first time she made it a relaxing and fun experience for me. I would 11/10 recommend Lea for any wedding or formal event. She's absolutely amazing and her work is fantastic.

Lea is amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better hair and makeup artist! She did hair and makeup for my wedding in Mexico (yes, she's so good we flew her to Mexico!) and for our local reception in Sacramento. Lea really listens to what you want, she is excited about every little thing, and she makes you feel so comfortable when you're in the chair. I cannot recommend Lea enough!

She totally understood my vision and even was able to give me an updo on my wedding day rather than the half up look we practiced at our trial as I wanted an updo last minute ! One of my best vendor choices hands down
Lea was amazing! She not only did the most gorgeous Repunzle braid with flowers woven in it for my wedding, she made every last one of my 11 bridesmaids and my mother and mother in law look and feel amazing. She was on time, professional, and clear on pricing from day 1. As if this wasn’t enough, when I had a wedding disaster and had to retake photos a few weeks later, she redid my hair just as amazing as the first time! I didn’t expect it at all she did it out of the kindness of her heart. I cannot say enough good things about Lea. I hired her for my wedding for myself and my 2 bridesmaids.
I have VERY fine hair and was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to achieve the hairstyle I wanted, but Lea made my hair dreams come true! My makeup was also everything I wanted, I love that Lea doesn’t go over the top— she truly makes you look like the best version of yourself. I also loved that with the Bridal Package I got, that Lea stayed until just before the reception time so I could be touched up after the ceremony. I will definitely use Lea for future events where I find myself needing hair and make up.

Lea was such a joy to work with and she was so flexible. Her work was not only gorgeous, but it stayed all day (and I was a cry baby during my wedding). My mother and mother-in-law hardly ever wear makeup, and she managed the perfect balance of barely there makeup that made them feel effortlessly beautiful. Lea Is Amazing
I booked Lea for me, my mom, and my bridesmaid's hair and makeup for my wedding. She was super responsive when I was asking her for quotes and later on when I was trying to figure out the timeline for the day of the wedding. During my hair and makeup trial, we got to chatting and I found Lea to be extremely personable, funny, and an all around great person to spend time with (which is super important, I realized, for getting ready the day-of).
On the wedding day, she was super prepared and had a makeup touch-up bag for me. I had a couple of comments about the dry skin around my eyes after my trial, so Lea brought me some under-eye patches to wear while she did my hair, which was so above and beyond, and she made some adjustments that had my makeup looking flawless all night (like from noon to 1:30am when the after party ended). My bridesmaids, mom, and I all have different hair types (thin, straight, wavy, and EXTRA thick) and she was able to flawlessly style everyone. She helped work with me to create a look that incorporated a piece of lace from my mom's wedding headpiece as well and it looked stunning all night. We all felt beautiful and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I definitely recommend working with her (if she isn't already booked!!!).

Great experience for wedding hair and make up
My wedding coordinator recommended Lea for hair and make up, and since I was a little late in finding someone, I was thrilled to find out she was still available for my date. I appreciated that the information on her web page for wedding hair and make up services was straight forward and clear when I was doing my research. She was very responsive and accessible through the whole process. I ended up scheduling trial hair and make up to coincide with my engagement photo session, and having hair and make up done for me, my sister, and my mom on the day of the wedding. I have a lot of long hair, so some pieces loosened up or came free from the bobby pins as the afternoon/evening wore on, but trial and day of make up held up very well. Lea is super chill, reliable, sweet, and friendly. She is calm and confident in her craft, and was patient with my eye flinching. I didn't have a great sense of what I wanted or what to ask for, but her kind personality made it easier to just chat, share pictures, and ask questions. She was happy to make adjustments and adapt to requests. Lea definitely helped reduce the stress of planning and execution of the big day, and I'm so glad she was part of my wedding team!! Thank you!

Immediately upon meeting Lea, I felt comfortable and confident in her hair-styling capabilities. She is so easy-going and so talented! Lea was incredibly flexible with setting up a hair trial. I went in with a photo of what I was looking for (even though I thought it would be impossible with my hair), and she nailed it. The day of the wedding she mentioned a couple minor things she wanted to modify from the trial and they were the exact details that I had thought about changing slightly -- it was like she read my mind! I absolutely LOVED my hair on my wedding day, thanks to Lea. She has a fun and easy-going personality that will take away any pre-wedding jitters --- and she is SUPER talented with hair.

If I could give Lea 10 stars I would. My wedding day like most brides was Chaotic. She arrives on time and is extremely organized. On the day of my wedding she showed up at my home to do both my daughter's and my makeup. As she's putting my daughter's make up on the delivery driver shows with all my cupcakes and cupcake tier. He tells me he does not set anything up that he just delivers. I almost had a heart attack because this thing did not look simple to put together. Lea came to the rescue and put the whole thing together for me. What makeup artist does that?! Not many. She was totally sweet about it too. Then my baby who is only 5 months old starts crying wanting to be held. Lea held her and soothed her the whole time while I put my wedding dress on. She stayed till we walked out the door to head to church. She saved my life. This is the 2nd time Lea has done my hair and makeup. She is amazing. My hair and makeup were gorge and stayed in place all night long. I totally recommend her. She is the only makeup and hair artist that I would trust for ANY special day.

I am SO happy an old friend recommended Lea to me. I'm not into makeup at all, so getting glammed up was something that was bound to be awkward for me. Lea made everything so fun and comfortable. Her emails put me at ease, but our trial was what really made me feel like I was in the perfect hands. She was sweet, professional and made me look amazing without feeling like I had gained 5lbs of face paint.
Day of, she was so helpful and went above and beyond in making sure everything was perfect for my big day. We had a bit of a snafu with one of the bridesmaids dresses that set us back on time and she jumped in to help without even being asked. She stayed late and touched up my makeup after I snotted it all off during our First Look and then stayed through our ceremony because she didn't want to be driving off in the background of our ceremony. Way more courteous than 90% of our guests!
I could go on and on, but I'll leave it at this. If I could give Lea 10 stars, I would. She was everything I needed on my wedding day. I have not one complaint!

I hired Lea Buehler as my hair and make-up stylist, Jennifer Haupt, for my wedding. Lea had another stylist also join her on my wedding day. I had a total of 7 women and two flower girls that needed hair and make up ( no make for the flower girls).
Both Lea and Jennifer arrived on time to the hotel ( 6:15 am!). They both were so sweet and were cool as cucumbers! This helped set the mood for the day!
All my bridesmaids, my Mom and mother of the groom loved their make up ( Jennifer did theirs). The hair was a collaborative effort between Jennifer and Lea. Everyone had awesome hair!
Lea emailed me a schedule to help with time a week before the wedding! This helped a ton! Thanks Lea!
Everyone knew what time to be in the hotel! Lea did my hair and make up! She did such an amazing job! I looked like me, just a glamorous version. Nothing over the top, which I wanted!
I can not express how pleased I was with the service Lea provided me! She also had a great partner, Jennifer! They are two true professionals!

I was absolutely blessed to get the opportunity to work with Lea. She is so professional and cheerful. Lea made my bridesmaids and myself look flawless! She kept to our timeline and made sure we were all on point. When I got my pictures I was obsessed with everyones hair and makeup. She made each of us look our personal best but complemented each other. She made my mom and mother in law feel special and beautiful, too! Lea is the BEST. She did my hair and make up for my wedding in SF, she had to haul all her stuff up and down SF streets to meet me early in the morning to get started. She timed everything perfectly and made sure we were on schedule so I didn't have to worry. Lea knew exactly what I wanted my hair and make up to be without me even having to tell her. She is super fun to talk with and makes the whole processes easy! She not only answered my questions about hair/make up, but other wedding stuff I needed help with. She really is amazing.

The first time I met Lea she was doing my hair and makeup for my sister-in-laws wedding. I was so impressed with the quality of her work that day. I couldn't believe it! I did not have to touch up my makeup once; it looked flawless throughout the pictures, ceremony and even the reception. I knew then, I wanted to book Lea for my wedding.
We had completed a trial run, which went fantastic, she really took the time and listened to EXACTLY what I wanted. As my day quickly approached I started wanting to change little things here and there and when I was done, I realized I wanted something soo different from the trail run. I had sent her many emails all of which she was quick to respond to my many requests and questions and so nice about it all. I had complete confidence in Lea's ability to make me look perfect for my big day.
Upon arrival I asked her if she wanted to see pictures of what I wanted so she could get it perfect and she smiled at me and said "Don't worry. I know exactly what you want" She took all my stress away with that statement as I had complete confidence in her abilities, as a professional. Without seeing any pictures Lea made my vision come true, which just goes to show you how good she really is! As I looked at myself in the mirror I was so taken back, she did my make up EXACTLY how I wanted it without any direction! And on top of that she is so nice and professional. The quality of service is impeccable!! I will be recommending her to everyone future bride-to-be.

When planning my wedding, I was having a difficult time deciding who would be a good fit for not only me but my bridal party for makeup/hair. Lea came highly recommended to me from a friend and two other wedding professionals, so I thought that had to be a good sign. I was not disappointed. She was very quick to respond and answer any questions I had. She had me do a trial appointment for both hair and makeup in advance to make sure we were both on the same page as to what I was looking for on my special day. On my actual wedding day, Lea was on time and ready to go with her assistant Angela. These girls worked great together. My bridesmaids brought pictures of hair/makeup they wanted and Lea did a wonderful job at meeting those requests. They all looked beautiful! The makeup was awesome. I've been in several weddings and had my makeup done and Lea by far was the best. She didn't cake on makeup and she made us still look natural but beautiful. She even finished early which was awesome and a huge stress reliever. I would recommend her to anyone for any type of event in which you want your hair or makeup look amazing. Thanks again Lea!

Look at Lea's work! I looked at other make up artist sites and I didn't like how heavy their makeup looks were. I was looking for a more natural make up look and she was spot on. Additionally, it was great to be able to book hair and make up with one person rather than having to find 2 vendors.

Lea is an extremely talented hair and makeup artist. Lea graciously fit in my hair and makeup trial at the last minute so I was able to give it a practice run at my bachelorette party. The makeup was truly gorgeous and my fabulous eyelashes and hair stayed in place the whole night. The day of the wedding her work was just as beautiful and long-lasting. Lea listened to what I wanted and was open to feedback which meant a lot when you want that perfect look on your wedding day. On the day of my wedding, Lea was absolutely amazing! She is so sweet and talented. I loved working with her. She gave me great ideas about hair and make-up ideas. She also convinced my mom to wear fake eye-lashes!!! I love it. Lea is extremely professional but super fun to be with on your big day. She kept me relaxed throughout the whole day prior to the ceremony. Oh and the hair and make-up was fabulous! She made me feel so beautiful, and she gave me a lip stick gloss to reapply throughout the evening- no charge! Last weekend, my daughter got married. Lea did my daughter's hair and makeup along with her maid of honor. She was amazing! My daughter does not wear makeup so she was apprehensive about having makeup done for her wedding. Lea's makeup application looked natural and enhanced her beautiful features! Her maid of honor's hair and makeup looked great too! Lea is an amazing wedding hair and makeup artist. She is so sweet! My daughter lives abroad and flew home just prior to the wedding. Lea is great at what she does and very responsive to changes you request in your style. If something is not quite right, just let her know and she will fix it with no frustration or attitude. Her first priority is making sure you love the way you look. On my wedding day, I told Lea the wrong time. Nobody's fault but my own. Lea hustled to make sure everyone who needed hair and makeup done in time for photos was taken care of. She was super quick and everyone looked awesome. I would recommend her to anyone.

Lea of Special Event Hair & Makeup is amazing! I feel so fortunate that I found her to do my hair and the hair of my wedding party. From the time we first spoke, I noticed that she was both friendly and professional. She was responsive in getting me the information I needed quickly (her availability, prices and photos of her work). It was easy to set up a hair trial appointment at her lovely studio. I didn't have a photo of exactly what I wanted, so her sense of style was really important. I showed her a few photos pointing out aspects of each that I liked and she was very good at interpreting what I liked and was able to combine the features I liked into a curled, half up / half down look with a feather fascinator. It was gorgeous, unique appearing and stayed in place well! She was willing to take time on the trial to futz with it or adjust it, but none was needed - it was exactly what I wanted! Her pricing was very fair and her contract process was easy and straight forward. Fast forward to my wedding day - She and her assistant were on-time, professional and a lot of fun during the getting ready process. My bridesmaids were all having hair pulled back into some type of low bun. For each bridesmaid, she asked them some questions about how they wanted the front to look. Took into consideration their natural hair features and managed to make each of the 4 have low buns, each with their own very unique sexy and sophisticated look. All four girls (each with strong opinions) LOVED their hair. She completed my hair again - GORGEOUS - and taught me and one friend how to place and remove my veil. We finished in the time she had allotted and my very straight hair held curl and held up all night, receiving many compliments. Overall, Lea is incredibly skilled with great taste, she is professional, reliable, and sweet as can be. She will go above and beyond. Book her now if she is available!

Lea did my hair for a pre-wedding party (Sangeet) and for my Christian wedding. She was really nice, which is super important when you're forced to somehow sit still just hours before your wedding! I received MANY MANY compliments on my hair, it was wonderful and stayed in place for hours, which is sort of a miracle considering I have long thick hair. She also did my sister's make-up for a very reasonable price and really listened to what we both wanted. I can't wait to have Lea do my make-up/hair again!

Lea was the hairstylist for my wedding in March. Lea and her assitant did my hair, 5 bridesmaids and my mom's hair. They did an amazing job on everyone's hair! Lea is a true professional and helped me decide how I wanted to style my hair and gave recommendations on how the bridesmaids should do their hair based off of my style. My hair looked like a piece of art (I'm seriously in awe of how she is able to do what she does!) and each of my bridesmaids hair was different from one another, but cohesive at the same time. I definitely recommend doing a trial run with Lea, as it is extremely helpful to get an idea of what kind of style you would like for your wedding. Lea was so incredibly patient with me during my trial run - she did SEVEN (!) different hairstyles during my trial run and took pictures after each style so I could think about what I wanted on my big day. I felt that she truly wanted me to be happy with the style I chose and I appreciated her going the extra mile by showing me so many different styles. I can't say enough nice things about Lea. Not only is she a total sweetheart, she is extremely talented too. I would 110% recommend Lea for your wedding day!

Lea did such an amazing job. She was able to give me exactly the hairstyle that I wanted and it lasted the entire night. The make-up was also perfect. I wanted it to look natural (like me, but enhanced) and she did an excellent job. It was perfect. I can not say enough good things. She also did all of my bridesmaids' hair and make-up too and they looked gorgeous. She came to my wedding venue was on time and affordable.

Lea did my hair as well as my 6 bridesmaids'. They all turned out amazing! I loved my bm's hair, and also loved mine! Lea was wonderful, from the first meeting through the last moment she finished my hair. She not only is one of the sweetest people I have met, she has a real talent for hair! A joy to work with, professional, very accommodating, thoughtful and helpful, and provided a hairstyle that I loved and will love seeing in all my wedding photos! Would highly recommend! I had Lea do my hair and make up for my wedding and I loved it. She was very friendly and easy to get a hold of. We did a trial appointment to make sure my day would be perfect. My up do lasted all day and looked great. My make up was fabulous and looked great in the photos. I would recommend her to anyone who's need great hair and make up.

Lea is awesome! She did my hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids for my wedding at Wine and Roses, Lodi. I LOVED both the hair and makeup, it couldn't have turned out better. I have really thick long hair and I wanted a side chignon that was elegantly messy, not too slick but not too poofy and not too much curls. She really came up with exactly what I had hoped for but way better in that the updo she did on me was not tight and strained with a million bobby pins. It was looser and I felt very comfortable wearing it all day. I had a trial run with another stylist and the hair do was so tight and painful on my head that I couldn't wait to take it down, but that was not the case with Lea's. As for the makeup, I don't wear much make up, but what she did for me and my bridesmaid was very simple but flawless. We looked beautiful and I can't thank her enough for her work. She is a great value, with great work. I looked very long and hard on yelp, and many other similar hair and makeup artist but I consider myself very lucky to have come across Lea. Just like the last review mentions, she does have a very fun and bubbly personality.

Lea did a fantastic job on my hair and makeup. Our wedding was outdoors and the temperature was a little over 90 and it was windy, but both my hair and makeup still looked great at the end of the night.

Lea came to my rescue after I had a few bad trials with another lady, I didn't even have to say much she just gets it! A few of my girls came the day of with just a picture and Lea was able to do every hairstyle at the drop of a dime! I recommend her 100% to anyone getting married! Lea is a real artist! She did makeup and Hair for our wedding, and every single person was thrilled with her work.
Lea has exactly the calm and friendly personality you want around you on your wedding day. She really listened to exactly what I wanted, and I was thrilled with the outcome. I didn't want to look overly made-up, but still have makeup that photographed well. Her work was flawless and my hair stayed put all night long.
My sister/MOH has gone through her share of stylists and make-up artists, and this time she couldn't find a single thing to criticize. Everyone was really happy with how they looked, and that confidence really shows through in the photos from our day.
I would recommend Lea heartily.

Lea and her team did an amazing job for my wedding, doing makeup and hair for not only myself, but my bridesmaids, my grandma and the groom's mom. Our wedding day ended up being windy and rainy and our hair and makeup made it through it all perfectly. Lea and her team showed up on time and were done by the time that we had originally planned. They were all very friendly and professional. Lea was extremely flexibility when making herself available to do a trial run. Lea made my wedding day so special, not to mention the trial run prior. Her rates are about the same as a salon, but in my opinion totally worth the cost. Not only was she flexible with the undetermined mind of a bride, but she also comes to you! Keep in mind that she also does make-up, and additional people. She was great, I am truly considering making her my permanent hair stylist. Few people actually know how to handle my extremely thick, non-curl holding, puffy, crazy hair. Lea made my hair breath-takingly flawless. She was fast, brilliant, honest about what my hair options were but still able to achieve a look that was beautiful and pictured in my head. She did a great job and any bride that booked her would be lucky, smart, and be in the best hands. Lea was a pleasant woman that knows her craft, and made my seemingly impossible vision a reality. And no this is not some false testimony, I have pictures to prove it! Soon to be on her site if they aren't already. :) thank you so much Lea! You are amazing and brilliantly talented!

Lea is the best! I was trying to find a stylist for my wedding hair through referrals but ended up finding her online. I scheduled a trial with her because of her great reviews, and I'm so happy I chose her! She was so helpful going through styles because I didn't really know what I wanted (we had to do 2 trials). She was so easy to communicate with by email, phone, or text. She was very relaxed and patient with me, which are priceless qualities to have in a wedding vendor. On the day of she was on time, her assistant was great, and she helped make my wedding day fantastic. Professional, kind, creative, and fun... I couldn't have dreamed of a better hair stylist!

Lea's services and professionalism are outstanding and top rate. I had 2 requests when I met with Lea for my trial run (1) long curls as I've let my hair grow for a couple years to have long curls, and (2) my make-up be natural as I do not wear makeup regularly.
The plan for my wedding day hair during the trial run had to be changed at the last minute due to windy weather. When Lea arrived she expressed her concerns with the high wind and explained how she'd like to make a small change in the style. Everything turned out beautifully and my husband LOVED the hair and make-up.
Additionally, I must say I was a bit of a basketcase just before the ceremony and Lea being there for "last minute touch-ups" was amazing. She helped me put on my jewelry as I couldn't get my hands to cooperate. She definitely helped put the finishing touches to my wedding day look.

About a week before my wedding I realized I hated my faded box-color hair color. Great timing, right? I had already booked Lea to do my hair and makeup (and my six bridesmaids) on my wedding day. I asked her if she could fit me in such short notice to do a hair color. I told her I wasn't sure what color I wanted, just as long as all of the reds were taken out and some of my natural dirty blondes came through. Not only did she make time for me, she did an amazing job on my hair color! A true artist.
On my wedding day, she exceeded my expectations again. All of my attendants looked gorgeous and had never felt so beautiful in all my life. She was professional, talented, and so easy to talk to.
