    Best hotel venue

    Le Meridien is absolutely stunning. The rooms are amazing so your guests will be impressed and super comfortable. Kelley the sales manager goes above and beyond to make sure your day is absolutely PERFECT. She’s available at any time to chat or change something last minute. Food was great, service was awesome. Cocktail hour in the library was stunning overlooking city hall with fireplaces. If your trying to have a classy wedding and do something different than the typical Cescaphe or Finley catering, this is your place!!!

    Excellent Customer Service!

    We hosted our rehearsal dinner at Le Meridien in the Abele Library which was the perfect room for the 75 people that we had attending. It is a comfortable room with a romantic charm and a great view of city hall with fire places on either side of the room. While we searched for a venue to host our rehearsal dinner, it was apparent that Kelley wanted to make the night as we envisioned it. She is so easy to work with and incredibly helpful throughout the process. She is reasonable and genuine in her thoughts and responses. The rehearsal dinner went very well. The room is narrow but was set up in an efficient way. The staff was polite and professional. The entrée (a short rib and halibut duet) was delicious. Kelley and the rest of the staff kept the night moving along at a comfortable pace. Overall, it was the perfect rehearsal dinner experience.

    As cliche as it sounds, I had my dream wedding here this past December! I have to say the venue itself served as a staple for our wedding pictures, absolutely breathtaking! We chose the venue because it did not need much decor, and with a few accent pieces, not only did it save us tons on decoration costs, but it looked like a winter wonderland. Luckily, the Wedding Coordinator had added a few holiday pieces of decor which added to our holiday theme. Besides, the venue itself the staff was amazing all the way leading up to the event and the day of. Even the guests ranted about the service provided. Kelley Manslanka, the wedding coordinator was extremely responsive and very attentive to our requests and any last minute changes. She made sure we had a flawless event and ensured that every detailed was accounted for. You cannot go wrong with having your event here. The food was impeccable, the service was amazing, and affordable. I wish I could do it all over again. Thank you Kelley and the staff for giving us the best experience and our dream wedding!

    We had our dream wedding here at the Le Meridien Philadelphia. It is the perfect location for a chic city wedding in the heart of downtown, walking distance to so many great Philly destinations. What made our wedding extra special was the highly attentive hotel staff - they were in tune with our every want and need and made each of our guests feel like VIP's. Our Catering Sales Manager Amanda C. worked with us on every detail of the wedding to make sure it was just flawless. Also on staff that snowy evening was Adam D., the Banquet Manager; Sonny I., the Executive Chef, and Michael Y., the General Manager - they all made sure the event was perfect! I highly recommend a Winter Wedding for any brave bride who wants magical and cinematic wedding photos in the snow. And to me, the best hotel in the city to compliment that is the warm and sophisticated Le Meridien Philadelphia.

    I had a very long engagement and Amanda was there every step of the way. She would respond immediately and wouldn't matter how small or silly the question may have seemed. She was organized, nice to deal with, and I had 100% trust in her. It made the wedding planning experience so much easier. I felt that every step dealing with le meridian was easy because the staff was so knowledgeable, responsive, and nice to deal with.

    There aren't enough words to describe the amazing Le Meridien and event coordinator Amanda Chrin. Amanda was nothing short of fantastic from the first day I met with her. She was warm, welcoming and supportive every step of the way. Her organization and experience helped us plan our perfect day and I have no doubt, that without her, it wouldn't have been possible. Everything surrounding our wedding was perfect. The venue is gorgeous, the staff is attentive and the food delicious. Amanda and Le Meridien made our wedding everything that we dreamed of and more. I honestly cannot recommend them enough. If you want a picture perfect wedding in the heart of the city, look no further.

    We felt from the very beginning we were in good hands with Amanda. She was supportive, encouraging, and followed up with every detail for the event. Amanda's professionalism and expertise inspired confidence, reassuring us the wedding would be a success. Amanda helped us meet the challenges by providing great advice and excellent problem solving skills. The event exceeded our expectations. Our family and guests continue to send me messages and comments about the evening. The food was excellent at the cocktail hour and dinner. Amanda handled all of the details and needs for the various vendors serving the event. The hotel accommodations were perfect! We were highly satisfied with every aspect of the wedding. I would recommend

    We are so happy that we chose to have our wedding at Le Meridien! I loved the venue as soon as I stepped foot inside, but when I met the coordinator, Amanda Chrin, I was sold! She seemed just as excited about the space as I was. She was easy to talk to and ask questions to, I immediately felt like I would be in great hands! The whole team at the hotel was very helpful in assisting with room blocks, the rehearsal, the wedding and reception and the brunch the next day. Because of the wonderful competant staff, I didn't worry about a thing on my big day -Everything was taken care of perfectly! The food was amazing! Take the chef's recommendations and trust his judgement when planning the menu and it will be better than you ever imagined! Le Meridien is such a beautiful space and the staff was wonderful, professional, helpful and made you as the bride feel like the most important person there!

    I absolutely loved my wedding at Le Meridien. We chose the hotel because it was a beautiful space with a boutiquey feel - it does not feel like your typical hotel. It has a mix of old architecture with modern touches. It originally was not even on our list of places to explore until a friend of ours who had stayed at the hotel for business suggested. We are SO happy he did!
    The per head price was competitive with many comparable venues in Philadelphia, and more fairly-priced than several of a similar caliber. I think we got excellent value for our money. The food from Chef Sonny is truly delicious, which is not something you normally hear about banquet catering at a hotel. Adam, the catering manager, worked hard to make sure we were comfortable with the wines that would be poured. Amanda, the sales manager, was incredibly responsive from day one (over a year before the wedding) until the day-of. A few things to note / tips - we ended up having 142 people attend. The room holds 160-180 max, but I'd be wary of having a wedding larger than 150 here, especially if you're planning to have everyone on the dance floor.

    Amanda Chrin was a dream to work with. She was patient, and attentive to our specific requests. We planned a wedding in 51 days, and the attention to detail was impeccable. Our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were all held at the hotel. The venue is beautiful, the staff is beyond courteous, and the food was delicious! My guests are still raving about how beautiful our special day was. I highly recommend this location without reservation!

    Amanda Chrin, and Adam Dieko, Banquet Manager, are exceptional people. Accompanied by Sonny Ingui, ecxecutive chef, they represent Le Meridien in the finest light possible. Their professionalism is accompanied by a sense of warmth and grace. We are forever indebted to them, for they helped us a have the most special celebration one could ask for.     It is your Wedding Day - after all the planning, you want everything to be perfect. Amanda Chrin and her great team at the Le Meridien will make sure that will happen. We held both our cermony and our wedding at the Le Meridien. From Amanda's ideas, her coaching, her suggestions, and her hand holding it was THE MOST PERFECT DAY EVER!     I can't give enough credit to the staff for how warm and welcoming everyone was. As the Mother of the Bride I felt completely at ease because every time I turned around there was someone there willing to help us with any little detail. From check in on Friday to check out on Sunday it was a perfect weekend!!

    Le Merdien was a gorgeous venue for our wedding! Amanda, Adam, and Jennifer all did an amazing job to make our special day so easy and beautiful! They were so patient the entire time and made me feel very comfortable with all of the details we needed (including ordering custom candies shipped from Indiana!). Everyone was so great and we still receive so many compliments on our wedding day, especially for how beautiful the hotel was and the food!

    My husband and I had our ceremony and reception both at Le Meridien in Philadelphia. The venue stole our hearts the moment we stepped inside and we knew it was where we would tie the knot. The hotel combines a modern chic vibe with traditional vintage architecture and many of our guests complimented the space as one of the nicest they've been in. The events staff (ADAM!) really treated us like the king and queen of the evening, surprising us with a sample of all of our passed hors devours that we missed out on while we were out taking photos, among other nice touches.     Beautiful hotel with great rooms. We got a complimentary suite the night of our wedding because we filled our block. There was even champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us at the end of the night! They let us use a space for our rehearsal. They were so helpful when we had guests requesting to book rooms at the group rate after the deadline.

    Really the only complaints would be the cost of parking, but I think that an issue everywhere in Philadelphia. And the refrigerator in our room wasn't working, and my maid of honor waited almost an hour (which I didn't find out about until after the fact) for them to bring a replacement, and that one wasn't working so well either.

    We chose Le Meridien as our wedding venue. We couldn't have been any happier. The staff was a joy to work with. The hotel was beautiful and exactly the modern chic vibe we were going for. The hotel made for beautiful pictures, our food was delicious, and the accommodations were amazing. They really worked with us to make it special for our day. We had a small intimate wedding with a luncheon in their restaurant downstairs. We were able to get the library for our ceremony and that was amazing. I highly recommend this venue for your special day. It was absolutely perfect!

    Overall a good experience! There was a bit of confusion with the location of some of our supplies we brought to decorate the reception hall with, but they were able to work it out.

    Le Meridien Philadelphia Staff and Amanda Chrin was wonderful and attentive. They made our wedding day memorable and fun for us and our guests. They worked smoothly with me throughout the wedding day and also worked very closely with me throughout all the planning. They listened to all my requests and was very accommodative. Our guests enjoyed the service and the food was great. We are very happy with the results and highly recommended.

    The hotel was a unique and beautiful venue for my daughter's wedding. The staff was extremely competent and professional. I was thrilled with our choice for the location of our special day!

    My wife and I couldn’t be happier with our choice in venue. The hotel is gorgeous. We received so many compliments on the hotel from all of our guests.

    Our wedding coordinator Kim was tough to get ahold of at times (it seems there are a lot of events going on), but when we met with her, she was always on top of everything and a pleasure to work with. Billing likewise was tricky at times; it seemed to go through a parent company, and several of our payments did not go through when they were supposed to, but once again, in the end, all of the payments were accepted, and we weren’t penalized in any way. Also, difficulties aside, it was very nice to be able to pay by credit card.

    During our tasting, the chefs came out to speak with us to make sure everything was to our liking. All of the meat dishes were amazing, and so was the vegetarian dish; it was made with the same attention as the meat dishes, which was a welcome change of pace. After the tasting, I informed Kim of some allergies my nephew had. She worked with the chef to make sure that the kids meal would be alright for him to eat. And the chef took steps to make it not only edible, but enjoyable.

    On the weekend of our wedding, we were taken care of from start to finish. The bridal suite had makeup chairs waiting when we got there for hair and makeup. On the day of the wedding, both Kim and Adam (the Banquet Manager) were supportive and took great care of us. They were both genuinely excited for our weekend, and made sure we had everything we needed. Adam was even at our breakfast on Sunday morning to make sure we were all set and to wish us well.

    We had the ceremony, the cocktail hour, and the reception in Le Meridien, and they all flowed perfectly. All of the small details we requested were taken care of. Kim even worked with the bride’s father to set up a surprise he had put together.

    We’re still receiving compliments on the wedding, and how great everything was. It was a beautiful day.

    Amanda was extremely helpful when planning for our wedding and the event was perfect. All of our guests marveled at the venue, the food was great, and all the small details around the wedding meticulous.

    Small disappointments related more to the hotel itself than the wedding. I had a bunch of friends over to my room when getting ready and it took the staff first almost one hour to bring breakfast (just for me) and a little later over 70 minutes to bring up a few glasses to drink champagne. My guests from Germany were surprised that they still had to pay $10 a day to use the WiFi, had I anticipated this I would've negotiated it beforehand.

    Amanda was very responsive. Great food and great service. An amazing time.

    The billing department had a couple errors which they righted. But it was a lot of confusion which could have been avoided.

    I would definitely recommend this venue. Best night of our lives (so far!)

    Beautiful space, but disappointing experience

    We were thrilled with all of the vendors we chose for our wedding weekend, but Le Meridien was unfortunately the exception - it was honestly a mixed experience. We had a room block at Le Meridien, and also held our rehearsal dinner (70 people) and farewell brunch (~120 people) in the hotel's event spaces.

    To start with the positive - the hotel rooms were very nice, the hotel staff were friendly and attentive, and the event spaces (The Library for our rehearsal dinner, and The Atrium for our farewell brunch) were stunning. The food was also very good!

    Unfortunately, it was extremely difficult to work with their events team, and we'd discourage others from planning events at this location because of this. Coordination in the months leading up to the wedding was stressful - our event coordinator would frequently wait several days before responding to emails, and even then, often provide incomplete responses. It frustrated us that the experience was very much "client driven," as there was no set "process" the LM team uses for event planning. All of our other vendors sent us documents outlining what would happen at 60, 30, 14, 7, etc. days before the event, but LM did not have this, and we were frequently pushing to get clarity about when we would need to make which decisions. We also had trouble getting the information we needed to make informed decisions; for instance, a month before the event, we asked to speak with the chef to discuss our dietary restrictions, and were told that the chef was "very busy with events" and would be unable to speak with us - even though we were spending thousands of dollars to host two events at the hotel!

    In the last month leading up to the wedding, after we got the GM of the hotel involved, we were able to push through on all the planning details (including a quick call with the chef), but unfortunately the events team failed to deliver that weekend.

    The must frustrating example of the incompetence of the events team happened at the rehearsal dinner, where we had assigned tables for our guests. That evening, instead of the seven larger tables that we had discussed beforehand, the event coordinator had set up eight smaller tables because she thought it was look nicer in the room. This decision was not timely: this could have been communicated to us at any point in the weeks leading up to the wedding (and was not). This decision was also nonsensical - the event coordinator knew that our guests had been assigned tables (we had dropped off calligraphy place cards earlier in the week), and failed to connect that her night-of switch from 8 large tables to 7 small tables would mean people's table assignments would result in 7 tables with not enough places set and 1 empty table. Fortunately, my husband and I caught the mistake before our guests entered the event room - but as a result, we had to have our cocktail hour by the elevators instead of in the event room where we had planned to have it, while the team re-organized the tables.

    The guest experience at the hotel was good, and I'd recommend it for your room blocks, but I would not recommend planning your events here until the events team is re-trained or under new management. Fortunately, this is the only bad review I have to write from our wedding weekend.

    Beautiful Venue, Terrible Service

    My husband had our wedding at Le Méridien in Philadelphia about a year ago and did not have a good experience there. The wedding coordinator of the hotel, Kelley Maslanka is not detail-oriented and provided terrible support during our wedding experience. Not only did she forget to set up our tasting, but also forgot to serve one of our cakes during the reception. Le Méridien in Philadelphia is a beautiful venue, but please be aware of the staff there. This is a short list of issues that occurred during our wedding weekend.

    We used Le Meridien for our hotel room block and getting ready location, NOT for our actual wedding ceremony/reception venue. Perhaps this is why we received such poor service from them. They caused me headaches throughout the entire wedding planning process, and this is the only vendor I regret using. The things they did correctly: the rooms and building are historic and attractive, the location is hard to beat for a center city wedding. Things they did incorrectly: pretty much everything else. Their room block coordinator Sarah NEVER responded to my emails promptly; in fact, I had to double and even triple email her multiple times to get a response, and I found out that SOMETIMES she would respond within ONE week if I CC'd her supervisor. (Is that crazy to ask for a shorter turn around time than one week?!) They messed up the room reservations so badly that some guests were sent across the street to a sister hotel because their reservation was "lost," and I got a follow up email from Sarah a few weeks after our wedding requesting for guest contact information because THEY FORGOT TO CHARGE THE GUESTS UPON CHECK OUT. The woman checking my parents out asked my mom how much they should charge her for the multiple rooms my parents paid for because she couldn't understand how to read the room reservation list. Finally, my group is pretty accommodating and generous, but it was highly unprofessional (and annoying) to constantly hear how busy the hotel was because of the three weddings they booked for themselves that weekend. It would've been the right and professional thing to have turned a group away before all three wedding groups signed a contract.
