Le Meridien Chicago - Oakbrook Center Reviews

Le Meridien Chicago Oakbrook is the absolute best place to get married! Working with Amanda Hillock, Catering & Events Manager, was a dream. She was professional and prompt answering our plethora of emails. The hotel's staff, food, decor, and rooms all fit our desired downtown vibe within our budget. Amanda and the staff made sure my husband and I were happy down to the smallest detail. I went back and forth about the color of the uplighting and the event staff went above and beyond to deliver a wonderful experience. I'm sure behind the scenes during our wedding was frantic, but none of that was ever revealed to us. We are extremely to Le Meridien and their staff for helping make our dream day a reality.

We used Le Meridien for our room block and where we got ready for the wedding. The hotel is clean, modern, and inviting, with super comfy beds. They gave us a great rate, and they were very helpful and accommodating with handing out welcome bags at check-in. Definite recommend.

Even though this hotel just opened up a few months ago we had our wedding here and couldn't be happier with the outcome. The staff went above and beyond to make it an incredible weekend for my husband and I.

We were the third reception and first ceremony for this brand new hotel. I will start off by saying that the day of the wedding was absolutely beautiful and the wedding coordinator did a great job setting up our flowers for the ceremony space and putting together our placecard table. The food was absolutely to-die-for and the banquet manager was extremely professional. The appetizers for our cocktail hour were nothing short of amazing. We had an open bar before and after dinner and we were able to choose a signature drink. My only complaint for the day-of the reception was that the wine during dinner came extremely late (about an hour into dinner, after the second course) and it appears that most guests did not get refills.

The planning process was a little difficult as this is a brand new hotel and it was not open for the majority of my planning time. I had to send out invitations without knowing what my meal options would be, nor did I have room block information for my guests. It created extra work for me because I had to then contact my guests with information as it became available. Some of the menu was not completed, and I did not find out until 12 days before the wedding what my vegan option would be.

The PLUS side is that this hotel is now open, and the difficulties that I had should not be a concern for any future brides. The day of the wedding was BEAUTIFUL and again, the food was TO. DIE. FOR. I hope this helps! I should also add that we had our little dog in the wedding, and he was treated like an absolute king by all hotel staff!

Our wedding reception at Le Meridien- Chicago was great. The event space on the 9th floor was beautiful with the floor to ceiling windows giving our guests great views. Definitely not your typical hotel ballroom!! Amanda, the events manager, was a pleasure to work with throughout the whole process and was very accommodating. Our guests are still raving about how delicious the food was, even a month later. We would definitely recommend a wedding reception at this venue!
