Great DJ For Lawrence Weddings!!

Jason was a fantastic DJ and we are so glad we chose him for our wedding this past October! He did an amazing job of making sure our reception ran smoothly. We are thankful for his help with keeping track of our schedule and ensuring our guests knew when each event was happening. Our guests loved the music playlist and appreciated having the opportunity to request songs. Jason was so great to work with not only the day of our wedding, but in the weeks preparing for our big day as well. Highly recommend his services, especially if you are planning to have your ceremony and/or reception at Maceli's!

Best DJ ever

Jason was our wedding DJ in May ‘24 and I cannot recommend him enough. He had the dance floor packed ALL night long. He knew exactly what to play and when to play it. He was always one step ahead and you can tell this is something he truly enjoys and thrives at. We got so many compliments after our wedding that it was the most fun wedding they’ve been to and a big majority of that wad Jason. Thank you, Jason for making our night the best ever!

Photo Booth and DJ

Jason was super helpful towards everything, made sure everything hit the timeline while making everything fun. Jason read the crowd very well and played songs that kept the crowd going all night! Would recommend him a million times over again!

Best Vendor EVER!!!

Jason is a great person to work with and went above & beyond to make our wedding a success! He did a great job keeping our guests on the dance floor and we received so many compliments about the DJ!! The best part was that he was willing to serve as the host as well and we also booked a photo booth for the event, which was a crowd pleaser. We sincerely appreciate Jason and the Lawrence DJ service!! Highly recommend!!

Definitely choose Lawrence DJ

Jason has this down to a perfection. he works well with vendors and the clients in organizing the best experience. Extremely organized and communicates exceptionally. He also has one of the best photo booth set ups. He keeps things running and knows how to get people on the dance floor. Paying for his services is a bargain!

Perfect Rehearsal Dinner/Karaoke Party

Jason was great to work with. He was super responsive to all communication before the event, he was prompt, and easy to work with. He did our rehearsal dinner and karaoke party and we received so many positive comments about how fun it was. We credit a large part of that to Jason. Would definitely want to work with him again and would highly recommend!

Absolutely perfect!

Jason was an absolutely perfect fit for our wedding! He played the music for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, and we got the photo booth as well! He was flexible, accommodating and had great ideas! He was so much fun to work with! We cannot recommend him strongly enough!

Best of Lawrence for a Reason - Incredible

Jason was the perfect DJ for our wedding, and we couldn't have asked for anything or anyone better.

We initially met with Jason well in advance of our wedding and from our first meeting it was easy to tell why Jason is the best DJ in Lawrence. He cares about his clients, he makes your wedding personal, and he has the perfect personality you would want from a DJ. His attention to detail was remarkable; in our meetings he went over all the details of what we wanted to hear and what we preferred not to hear, the order of events during the reception, and he even covered things that me and my wife had not even thought of. His attention to detail was phenomenal.

The day of the wedding, he was early, he came and found us to let us know he was there, and he was setup and prepared well before guests started showing up. Throughout the reception, things did not go 100% as planned, but Jason's choreography was so refined and he was so proactive that guests did not notice a thing. He is really skilled in this area of what he does.

The only thing better than his professionalism was his personality. From always having a smile on his face, to interacting with guests and the wedding party, Jason really fit in well with our guests and wedding party. His music selection was a perfect blend of slow songs, oldies, party songs, and everything in between. He made sure to perfectly time the handful of songs that we specifically wanted and took guest requests all while keeping everyone happy. He was truly amazing.

Jason offers a photo booth that can be added to his DJ package, which I highly recommend. It's was a great addition to our wedding reception and it included plenty of great and fun props. The ability to go take photos with family/friends was a hit with our guests, and with the CD of photos that Jason provides afterwards is a great keepsake for us..

After meeting with Jason, going through the process with him, and having him DJ our wedding, there is no better choice for DJ in Lawrence. He won't say it because he is a true professional, but his title of Best of Lawrence is appropriately placed.

Wedding DJ Review

We were so lucky we found Jason to be our DJ at our wedding! He knew how to read the crowd and keep people dancing all night. On top of that he offered to bring us drinks and helped keep everything on schedule during our reception!! I cannot say enough good things about Jason! If you are looking for a DJ I would definitely recommend Lawrence DJ Service!

We were extremely picky when it came to picking a DJ for our wedding and we hit the jackpot with Jason! We met with him twice before our wedding day and he was very well prepared and helped us set up how we wanted our ceremony and reception to go. He kind of turned into our day of coordinator and was amazing at keeping our day moving on time. He checked in with me multiple times throughout the night to make sure I was okay and that I was hearing all the songs I wanted (I mean he even played All I Want For Christmas Is You at my September wedding because I requested it!!) I think the number on compliment we got from our guests was how great the variety of the music was and how well the dance floor stayed packed all night (which was our top priority!) I will recommend him to all my friends when their wedding days come!!

Jason was absolutely amazing! From our very first meeting we knew he would do an excellent job. We never felt so at ease leaving our meetings with Jason. He shared words of wisdom right before our wedding and did an awesome job keeping people on the dance floor. We received so many compliments not only on him DJing, but also the photo booth he provided! It was a great addition to our wedding and all of our guests loved it. He kept the reception moving and there was never a dull moment. Jason is by far one of the best in his profession! I would absolutely recommend him!

Jason is the best! He is very adaptable. He does a great job getting a feel for exactly what kind of DJ and entertainer you want. He did everything we asked for! Hands down an outstanding DJ. He made it very casual and took away stress of worrying about anything from start to finish. He came highly reviewed, when we met it was a simple, easy, and personalized approach. The night of the wedding went very smooth. He adapted well with our friends and family keeping everyone engaged and the mood and tempo flowed perfectly. The equipment was all high quality and lighting effects throughout the whole venue were perfect. We also took advantage of the photo booth service and our guests had a great time making memories while our wedding party was finishing photos leading up to the reception. If you need a personal engaging DJ this is your guy!

I would absolutely recommend Lawrence DJ! He was so great and easy to work with. He listened to everything we wanted, and was very responsive. He made everything go very smoothly, and even brought me and my husband drinks at the head table so we had time to eat without interruptions. We also used his photobooth service which everyone LOVED. So many guests told us it was the funnest time they had every had at a wedding. Jason was really amazing, and I would highly recommend him to anyone!

We absolutely would recommend Jason for your DJ needs at your wedding. He is very easy to work with and listens to what you want to do for your wedding day. The photobooth service he also offers is worth every penny as well. We had the scrapbook option and it was nice reading all of the notes from our friends and family from the photobooth. Jason is the best and helps make your day go very smoothly by working easily with other vendors.

Jason with Lawrence DJ service provided excellent DJ service, as well as karaoke and had a wonderful photo booth. He showed up in a snow storm and even helped us decorate! I will use him again for any event I have. Everyone said he did a fantastic job and how great he helped make the party. Awesome job all around!

We hired Jason to DJ our wedding in early November and we cannot say enough great things about how wonderful of an experience this was. From the very first meeting, to the pre-wedding planning discussion and up through the event night itself, Jason was incredibly easy to work with and provided great counsel all along about how to make our event the best possible. And then on the wedding day itself, Jason positively shined. He handled A/V for the ceremony, dinner and then of course DJ'd the reception. He was on point for all of it, and served up the perfect mix of music to keep the reception moving. In fact, it was going so well, we extended it by an hour, which Jason gladly agreed to, and things ended on the highest note we could imagine. We would book Jason again in a minute, without hesitation, for any future events. Thanks, Jason, for helping to make our day so memorable!

I can not say enough good things about Jason. My wife and I originally were not planning on having a DJ for our wedding but thought about seeing what our options were. Living in Michigan I contacted Jason by phone and he returned my call in the same day. Jason chatted with me on the phone for about 20 minutes, getting to know me and my partner. He seemed more interested in getting to know us as a couple before talking business. Fast forward to a month before the wedding, we met with Jason and he was fun, energetic and all about making our day easier. On the Wedding Day, Jason had the perfect music, kept the day moving along and even pretended to talk to us so we could finish our dinner! The biggest compliment came from my Grandmother-in-law who claimed that this was the first wedding in her 96 years that she has ever seen people actually dance, and I credit that to Jason. I would recommend Jason to ANYONE who is interested in someone who cares about the people he is working with. Jason was amazing!

Jason with Lawrence DJ Service did an awesome job at our wedding reception! From our initial meeting with him months before the big day, all the way thru til the wedding day itself, he stayed in contact with us and was always quick to respond to any of our questions. He was extremely personable and professional each time we met with him. When we were very undecided on several music selections, he always had several suggestions for us without being pushy. During the reception he kept our guests entertained and, most importantly, informed of what was to come next. At the start of the reception, he made sure to run through our order of events with us and make sure we felt comfortable and prepared, and was very flexible to a few last minute changes. When the dance floor lighting wasn't quite what we had hoped for, he came up with a quick plan and seamlessly created the perfect feel. He played a wide variety of music to appeal to everyone, and even got some of our non-dancers out on the floor for a song or two! He was also able to provide our photo booth, which had a great prop selection and was a huge hit with our guests! I'd recommend Jason in a heartbeat, he'll be a great addition to any wedding.

I used the Lawrence DJ Services for their photo booth at my wedding and I cannot rave about them enough - they were amazing! So many of my guests told me about how much they loved the photo booth. It was 100% worth the price, everyone that went into the booth was able to have a strip for themselves, my groom and I were able to design the strips ourselves, and they had a huge supply of props you could use. The ladies running the booth were very happy and friendly, and Jason was amazing with responding to any questions or emails quickly. I recommend them for anyone that needs a photo booth!

Hiring Jason was one of our best decisions when planning our wedding. He's very professional and met with us twice before the wedding to get our input and cover everything we could possibly think of. He hooked up all the audio for our outdoor ceremony including microphones and guitars. He ran our reception like a second day of coordinator. Then he rocked the dance floor and lots of our guests said it was the most fun at a wedding they've had in awhile. I highly recommend Jason for all your wedding DJ needs.

We had a wonderful experience working with Jason! He was extremely flexible when finding times to meet, he listened to our wants and followed through with them on our wedding day. He kept our dance floor full the entire night and really had a good feel for what music to play when. He was very organized and reached out to us when we needed to have our final meeting to make sure everything was squared away before our big day. I highly recommend choosing Jason for your DJ!

Jason was fantastic to work with. One of the greatest gifts that Jason has is making sure your wedding flows smoothly. I have seen many DJ's not do a good job of this and it really makes the difference in how your day is orchestrated. Jason also does a very entertaining game that gets your family and friends laughing. I cannot recommend Jason highly enough our wedding was a blast and he is responsible for this. Oh yeah, he also has a great music selection and can read your crowd. We had people of all ages dancing.

Jason was such an unbelievable DJ for our wedding! We recommend that anyone who is getting married choose Jason for their day! He met with us before the wedding to make sure we were one on the same page and walked through every part of the wedding so that there wouldn't be any confusion during the ceremony or reception. He made sure that our reception ran so so smoothly and that everyone was where they needed to be when they needed to be there, like making sure that our videographers and photographers were ready to go before we started speeches or the first dance. He was also able to coordinate on the fly with us when some parts of our reception were faster or slower than expected. Jason kept our guest informed about the events of the night and entertained while making sure that it was us and not him that was the center of the show. We weren't the only ones who noticed how good he was, many of our guests commented on how good our DJ was, and our pastor told us multiple times that Jason was the best DJ that he had ever done a wedding with. We highly highly recommend Lawrence DJ Service!

Jason was an INCREDIBLE DJ for my wedding! Not only was he great for the actual event, but when I had minor moments of freaking out along the way-- not knowing what types of music or songs to select-- he was so gracious to meet with me and guide me through the process. He is a great guy all around and my guests still haven't stopped talking about how FUN our wedding was because of him!

Jason was great to work with! He is very responsive and talks through how to create the best experience for you and your guests. The day of, he was great about grabbing us when it was time for toasts, the first dance, etc. and helped keep us on our timeline and vision. Jason was an absolute pleasure to work with! Our wedding guests had such a wonderful time!!!!! I received so many compliments on the music. Jason did really great job of using the music we had requested (which was quite a long list). He really helped with the day of timeline, keeping the momentum of the wedding going. He really helped in a lot of different aspects. He was extremely personable and professional. He did the sound for the ceremony and reception and the sound quality was perfect. Everything went off without a hitch. I am so very happy we picked him!!!! He was really great. I would highly recommend him!

Jason was the epitome of professionalism in the months and weeks leading up to our wedding. He answered every question I had, no matter how big or small within 24 hours (often in less than a couple of hours). He has so many great ideas to help with the flow of a reception and dance. There was never a song or moment when there was no one on the dance floor. My husband's family is from Mexico so we wanted to make sure we had a good mix of Spanish and English songs. Jason found the perfect balance and it made me so happy to see both sides of the family dancing together! He was extremely flexible and even put up with the intoxicated bridesmaids with grace ;-) Lawrence DJ Service is the vendor that I am most proud of discovering and Jason truly made my wedding day experience the best night of my life!

Jason was the DJ for our daughter's wedding. The services he provides are outstanding. He played the music for the outdoor ceremony and reception in the barn. In addition he provided a photo booth and up lighting. Jason is extremely professional. He is able to engage your guests and is very comfortable interacting and leading the festivities. Many of our guest commented that they enjoyed the DJ and music and the dance floor was always full. The photo booth was a huge success! I will contact him for future events.

Jason did the photobooth at my wedding. He was great to work with, custom made a photostrip for me, was very flexible with my times, and guests loved it! Jason even went out to my venue before the wedding to look at everything and make sure he knew where to set up before the night. I highly recommend him to anyone!!

Jason was fantastic! He literally made our reception! Throughout the night my husband and I had so many compliments from people about how smooth things were going, how great the music was, and overall how awesome our DJ was! We also used Jason's photo booth and our guests loved it! The woman working the table by the booth was extremely helpful and made sure our guests had an amazing time taking pictures to remember our night. Jason was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. He was always prompt to reply to emails or return phone calls. Both my husband and I were living in a different city while planning our wedding in Lawrence, and Jason was very flexible in meeting with us while we were in town - even on Sundays and holidays.

My husband and I are not big dancers. We have been to too many weddings that try to force a long dance party and everyone sits around board and tired. We told Jason that we wanted a fast paced entertaining reception and he caught on to what we were looking for perfectly. He not only took care of our guests he even took care of us, ensuring we had time and space to eat, he even carried my dinner plate over for me and offered to get me drink refills. That is what I call above and beyond his job description.

DJ's can make or break your reception, and with Jason, I had no doubt that he would do a great job. The music was just right, he MC'd the night perfectly ( all our guests knew what was going on and when) and he took care of me and my groom. he was even coordinating with our photographer to ensure she got the best shots!

I haven't even began to mention his photobooth service. It was great, the album that was put together was ready by the end of the night and he promptly got the digital files to us after we returned from our honeymoon. I would recommend Jason to any bride in a heart beat. He caught onto my vision for the night and ran with it. From the lighting, to the music, to the entertainment Jason was well prepared, organized, and fun. We all know every least bit of a wedding a bride has to worry about the better. With Jason, I had nothing to worry or think about.

Jason was awesome. His upbeat personalilty made it easy for us to work with him. He listened to what we wanted and also threw in some very helpful suggestions. He kept our wedding ceremony and reception moving smoothly by anouncing when the next event would take place such as the first dance, bouquet/garter toss, and group dances etc. We were very pleased with his services and will recommend him to friends and family for any type of occasion.

I cannot recommend Jason Spencer (Lawrence DJ Services) highly enough.
RESPONSIVENESS - I live in New Mexico, but I was planning a wedding in Kansas City, so I was pretty leery about giving a deposit to just any DJ. I quickly learned Jason was someone I could trust. Once I emailed Jason around 11:00 pm my time (an earlier time zone), and even still, I heard back within 5 minutes.

INNOVATIVENESS & FLEXIBILITY- I had planned on doing the bride and groom send-off outside, but once that time came, it was pouring rain! After noticing this, Jason calmly approached me and asked if I would be OK with him lining people up to do the send-off in the hallway instead. His contingency plan worked perfectly, and all of my guests stayed dry!

COMPASSION - Jason was always friendly and professional, but what really impressed me was the time he took at our final meeting to give me practical tips for what to expect at the wedding and for how to respond. I definitely took his advice to heart, which kept me sane throughout all the inevitable wedding day blunders. I thought that really was a nice gesture of his.

SUMMARY - Jason takes his job very seriously, and he possesses an incredible work ethic that I think is pretty rare nowadays. DJing is not just some hobby Jason does on the side. He we works full-time as a DJ, and I have witnessed firsthand how he puts the utmost dedication into his work. I would HIGHLY recommend Jason Spencer to DJ ANY event for ANYbody. I wouldn’t call myself a Bridezilla, but I was definitely very selective when it came to what I wanted for my wedding. As many of you brides know, wedding planning, especially from out-of-state, can cause extreme anxiety, but in all honesty, choosing Jason as my wedding DJ helped me to relax a bit because at least I knew the music at the reception would be solid! I promise I’m not getting paid to write this, but I wanted to give credit where credit is due. With Jason Spencer, you are definitely in trusted hands!

We could not have asked for a better DJ for our daughter's wedding!! Jason has received numerous compliments from our many guest on what a fantastic job he did. Jason kept the wedding moving along, making it so much fun that the guest did not want the night to end. The sound was great and clear that all could hear what was being said and played. Jason spends time with the couple prior to the wedding to get to know their personalities and taste in music. Jason will be our choice when the next child gets married!

We had Jason DJ our wedding reception in May 2015 and we couldn’t be happier with the decision. Jason was the most professional DJ I have ever met or seen. The DJ was one of the few things we did not have to worry about on the wedding day. He responded quickly to our emails, delivered on all the entertainment needs, and made sure the reception flowed perfectly. You can tell he has been a DJ at many weddings because he knows exactly how the night should go. There were no lulls in the evening and everyone had a blast! We had numerous people tell us it was the best wedding they have been to (some even said it was better than their own wedding). His equipment is also awesome, especially his light set-up. I would definitely recommend Jason to anyone looking for a DJ! His prices are right on par with other DJs, but you get so much more for the money with him.

If I could go higher than a 5 out of 5 rating I would! Jason was more helpful than our own wedding planner and he communicated with us anytime we wanted to ensure our ceremony and reception turned out flawless. I could not have asked to find a better DJ anywhere. He worked with us to get a customized playlist for the wedding, took tons of requests, and made sure the songs that meant the most to us were played at the most important spots.
He made our wedding extremely memoriable, light-hearted and more enjoyable than I could have ever imagined! Because of his dedication and professionalism, our ceremony and reception were perfect!!!

I dealt with Jason at Lawrence DJ service for the photobooth for our wedding reception. He was wonderful to work with, and worked with me every step of the way. He designed a custom photo strip based upon our invitations and changed all his signage to fit a wedding with two brides. His efforts were much appreciated and I would recommend him for both DJ and photobooth services!

I booked with Jason after seeing recommendations through a facebook group. He immediately impressed my husband and I after meeting him for the first time. He was prepared with several playlists including "most popular" lists for specific dances. He was organized and responded quickly to my questions via email. We came up with a reception timeline and he kept us informed so that everything flowed well. We've had several compliments about him... and I would use him again!!

We used Lawrence DJ Service for the photo booth at our wedding reception, and we were beyond impressed! Jason made planning for the event a breeze; he is very friendly and flexible. His professional attitude mixes perfectly with his fun personality. The photo booth was perfect and all of our guests loved it! Jason even created an album with all the photo-strips from the photo booth, making sure our guests took time to write in it; the album is the perfect keepsake from our wedding reception. We couldn't have been more happy with the photo booth and the service. Lawrence DJ Service was our favorite wedding vendor by far!

Jason Spencer was the Dj for our wedding and he was AMAZING! Not only was he a Dj but also an entertainer the guest loved him. My boss used to actually Dj and has been around a lot of companies out there, and thought he was so unique then anyone he's ever seen. I had people coming up to me and Jason all night wowed with his talent. For your money you won't find better service out there. I texted him an hour before I was at my reception to add a dance and without hesitation he took care of it. We would recommend him to anyone out there searching for an awesome Dj. He left us with memories and continues to do so we are appreciative to have found him. You won't regret it, and thank you Jason!!!

Jason was FABULOUS! We had a big wedding - about 250 people - with guests of all ages and music tastes. Jason was professional, but also so much fun. We didn't give him much direction, except for - make sure everyone has fun, it's a huge party, and keep the dance floor full. He did exactly that! He played a great variety of music and kept all of the guests happy. We heard from so many of our guests that not only was the wedding a blast, but specifically that the DJ was amazing. He also acted as emcee for the evening, helping coordinate toasts, bouquet/garter toss, cake cutting, etc.
I would definitely recommend Jason for any wedding/event needing a DJ! He was exactly what we were looking for!

Everyone loved Jason. He found the perfect balance of being involved and letting my guests do their own thing. He was extremely easy to work with as he announced a lot for us and kept our reception running very smoothly.

Seriously fantastic, really! We were pretty against the idea of a DJ as first because we were had been to a few too many representations of how bad they can be and had been burned by initial contacts made to other DJs. We asked around and got really great feedback about Lawrence DJ before contacting them. From the very first email Jason changed our opinions. Expect prompt responses, thorough communication, and a heck of a good time. He worked with our playlist, made everything flow perfectly, and knew how to handle the guests.

He almost made us want to do the whole wedding all over again. Well not really, but we would use him for another event without a doubt.

Jason did an amazing job as our DJ! He was one of the few things about the wedding process that was stress-free for us! He sent us worksheets in advance so that we could pick our music and how we wanted the reception to go. We met up for coffee about a week before the wedding to finalize our plans and he was super flexible when I didn't have everything ready to do for him! He even gave us great tips on how to keep the party going and people on the dance floor! We got many compliments on his services!

I just wanted to say on behalf of Jill and I we were more than happy with having you as the DJ to our wedding and reception! The guests loved the music and the majority of people danced which is what we wanted. Everyone had a great time and we even had compliments from the staff at Maceli's how our reception was so fun compared to other receptions they have had there. Thanks in great part to you! Jason was awesome!! From the day I found him online until weeks after our wedding, he was so communicative and professional. He made our wedding planning stress free. I never had to email him with concerns because he always addressed them ahead of time. He made great recommendations! He brought a light set up for the reception that was beautiful and he played great music that had everyone dancing until the end of the reception! They also had a photo booth that we could book through them as well which was very convenient. The scrapbook they made was amazing and has some great memories in it!!! Jason did such an amazing job at my wedding. He did the ceremony and reception music. His transition from the ceremony to the reception was flawless, guests were greeted by music as they entered the reception. His MC abilities were awesome, he entertained the crowd but didn't overshadow any of the festivities. His choice of music for dinner and the dancing was superb!

Jason of Lawrence DJ Service was fantastic to work with for our wedding and reception. From our first meeting with Jason, he was professional, flexible, and clear on his pricing. We were very pleased to find a DJ who was more concerned with making our ceremony and reception music exactly what we wanted them to be rather than building his own "brand." Jason worked with us on our ceremony and reception timeline, helping us anticipate any issues we might run into and providing a sounding board for some of our music ideas. Before the wedding, we sent Jason a list of songs and genres that we liked, and he selected the majority of our reception music based on those preferences. We were very happy with the songs he played at our reception and the way he helped us stick to our timeline and kept the reception lively. Jason also provided the music for our wedding ceremony and did a wonderful job with that as well.
