We held a rehearsal dinner at Lawless. We loved the space from the first time we viewed the location. It is a chic city vibe with brick walls and big windows. Minimal decorating is needed to make the space pop. From start to finish the whole team worked hard to make sure every detail was handled. We received so many compliments about the party we threw - from the delicious food to the outstanding drink offerings. We are very happy that we found Lawless and highly recommend them to anyone looking to hold a wedding, party or rehearsal dinner in the downtown Houston area.

Our wedding reception experience at Lawless could not have been more perfect. We originally were planning our reception in their sister space, the Crystal Ballroom at The Rice. While this historic Houston space was equally as beautiful, Covid had other plans for our reception and venue. It's rare that wedding receptions go completely without a hitch, but ours DID! Courtney and Emily did an amazing job ensuring our vision came to fruition, and Courtney was amazing as our day-of coordinator. Here we are six months later and our guests are STILL raving about how good our food was! Drinks were revolving quickly, our DJ had a great space/dance floor, and we even had a cigar roller on the terrace. Seriously, book your event today at Lawless! We maxed out the space with 85 guests and the room still felt spacious. Our floral and cake deliveries were also handled seamlessly the day of. I couldn't recommend a better venue. Additionally, an organization I'm part of for work has booked this space for corporate events, so you're working with a dynamic venue.

I have coordinated more than a handful of weddings here and always loved the staff and venue. But this time around it wAs my personal event and WOW WOW WOW. My husband and I experience one on one 5 star service from the start to finish.
Our goal was to focus on our guests having an unforgettable time and we are still hearing that from each and every guest till this day! The staff blew everyone away! Seamless and so smooth! Attentive! 5 Star All the way!

Used for rehearsal dinner. Caters through Sambuca so good is excellent. More intimate location that was quiet and reserved just for our group. Great downtown views and location. Highly recommend!!
