We can’t speak highly enough of Sara and her work!! My husband and I didn’t really know what we wanted in terms of flowers, but over the course of 12 months, Sara got on the phone with us again and again as our vision kept on getting more and more refined. Finally, about 1 month out from the wedding, we knew what we wanted - and Sara picked up on it so quickly. I’ve never gushed over flowers before but oh my god when I saw my bouquet I couldn’t stop beaming. She absolutely nailed it. We didn’t have a wedding planner so we were really cobbling together our vision one piece at a time….and Sara brought it all together. She is also the kindest, sweetest person; when you’re in the throes of wedding planning, it’s pretty wonderful to have a phone call with a vendor that leaves you feeling calmer than you were before. One last thing - as far as florists in the tristate area, L&L was one of the most reasonably priced options we found!! -

Sara is the BEST!!
Once I saw Lavender and Leaf’s work, I knew I had to have her at our wedding. From beginning to end, Sara was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was quick with communication, and the KINDEST soul ever. She understood our vision, and executed it even better than we could have ever imagined. She did a custom installation for our sweetheart table with a wooden cut out sign and it was the most photographed portion of our wedding! It was so beautiful. From my wedding bouquet to the table arrangements, everything was perfect. Our guests took the arrangements home and said they lasted for weeks! I absolutely cannot recommend Sara and her team enough for making our vision come to life. Thank you so much!!

From the moment I first met Sara on the phone and after an hour and a half long initial conversation, I KNEW she had to do our wedding flowers!! Sara understood my floral vision and color palette from the get-go -- we talked through what flowers and decor would be needed for each part of the day and I felt like she totally knew exactly what I wanted (even with my limited knowledge of flowers/greenery + not knowing the proper names for any flowers!) She was extremely easy and fun to work with, providing a proposal just a few days after we first chatted, and following up throughout the wedding planning process to ensure our details/vision hadn't changed.
On the day of the wedding, everything looked BEAUTIFUL! I teared up as soon as I started walking down the aisle and saw our ceremony arch and ceremony barrels decorated with the flowers we had discussed! I was in love with my bouquet and my bridesmaids' bouquets and loved that Sara was able to tie blues into our color palette to accentuate the bridal party's navy dresses, vests + ties. The tables all looked perfect -- a beautiful mix of pillar candles and smaller flower arrangements in vases on some tables and larger arrangements on others -- having varying centerpieces/table decor was Sara's idea and I was so happy with how it turned out! What I loved about working with her was that she was totally receptive and on board with my ideas but also suggested quite a few of her own which made our tables and venue decor look even more elegant :)
Planning a wedding is stressful, but once we talked to and hired Sara I never once worried about how our flowers would turn out! I knew she'd put together beautiful arrangements for us and our guests have been raving about how stunning all our flowers and decor were! Highly recommend Lavender & Leaf for weddings at any type of venue! Thank you for making my vision a dream come true, Sara! -

It was such a pleasure to work with Sara at Lavender & Leaf. She perfectly captured our vision and was so incredibly kind and responsive during the planning process. I didn't have a lot of room to expand our budget for florals, and Sara was not only understanding but also creative in helping to come up with ways to save money without sacrificing our vision. I would absolutely recommend Lavender & Leaf to anyone. -

Sara was beyond amazing to work with. She was recommended to us by our photographer (Sweet Alice Photography) and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. She was the only florist we met with and knew this could be risky, but we instantly clicked with Sara. She was able to interpret our vision and put it into action.
Due to the unfortunate circumstances of the world, we had to move our wedding date and downsize significantly, but Sara was nothing but accommodating and understanding. She was very flexible with us, given all the last minute changes and delivered 100%.
Not only is Sara a great florist but she is also a kind person who truly cares about her craft and it shows in her work. -

An absolute dream
We cannot recommend Lavender & Leaf enough. Sara was a dream to work with, and immediately understood our vision for the wedding before we could even articulate it ourselves. The floral arrangements were just perfect and transformed our otherwise backyard wedding into an absolute fairy tale. Everything from the boutonniere to the bridal bouquet was clearly assembled with love, care, and specifically for us. The details were breathtaking, and the way Sara repurposed the ceremony flowers for dinner was seamless. We’d gush more about Lavender & Leaf, but the pictures speak for themselves! -

Absolutely stunning flowers!
Sara is unbelievably talented at what she does! I was drawn to Sara when I saw a photo of boutonnieres she had made with light blue delphinium. As someone who has always loved the color blue, I knew any florist that could incorporate that color palette was someone I wanted to work with. Sara and I spoke many times before the wedding, and she was so helpful in honing my vision on white with pops of blue into something really beautiful. Sara was so flexible and kind as we navigated postponing and downsizing my wedding. Our guests were blown away at how beautiful the reception space was, as well as the chuppah arrangement, where she was able to incorporate my husband's family's tallit. We had such a special day, and I would highly recommend Sara and Lavender and Leaf! -

Absolutely stunning flowers!!
Sara and Lavender & Leaf were amazing to work with. She was patient throughout our dozens of questions, changes, and suggestions as we crafted the perfect plan for our flowers. We had a tight budget and Sara was creative in finding ways to re-purpose bouquets (our bridesmaids bouquets became centerpieces) and supplement the tables with rustic greenery. Our flowers looked STUNNING on the day of and everybody commented on them! They were exactly what we envisioned, and all the tables looked perfect. We cannot recommend Lavender & Leaf more! -

THIS SHOULD BE YOUR FLORIST! I can’t recommend Lavender & Leaf Designs enough. Stop looking for your florist. This is them. Sara is absolutely incredible- she creates more than flower arrangements… it’s art. Totally stunning. Sara responded immediately to our request for a florist. She sat with us & helped my husband & I get a real vision for our wedding. Her ideas were amazing & out of the box. She made sure that everything was totally representative of us & kept giving us amazing ideas. She helped us refine our color palette & introduced us to creative touches that we could never have dreamed of. Sara & her team were incredibly sweet, professional, & creative geniuses! She works with all kinds of couples & gave us the individual attention & direction that we needed. We wanted flower accents for the day that incorporated non traditional flowers & plants that would accent our other decorations. This company absolutely delivered beyond our expectations! They made two incredible & huge flower bouquets using head vases and columns for our ceremony isle. They also made arrangements using two sentimental vases for our sweetheart table. They created gorgeous boutonnieres for the guys in our ceremony using feathers, unique flowers, bright colors, & incorporated unique sentimental charms into them. For the women, Sara made gorgeous floral bracelets. They also put gorgeous floral accents & finishing touches throughout our event space that tied it all together & made the setting simply incredible. Her artistic eye is unmatched. She was incredibly professional & did not require lots of direction. It was very clear that she kept me & my husband in mind in everything that she did. Her team was professional & incredibly sweet & creative. They arrived early to our event, set up everything perfectly, and surpassed any expectations that we could have had. We received a ton of compliments for their arrangements from our guests & we couldn’t be happier with their work! Lavender & Leaf was priced great & provided us with so much more than flowers. Working w/ Sara helped us focus our color scheme & made our special day even more special. We can’t recommend them enough! If you are looking for an incredible, high-end, classy florist that provides exceptional service with a smile- this is them! Book Lavender & Leaf Designs now. You won’t regret it! We absolutely loved them. We took all the flowers home and still have them decorating our place! They used an incredible variety of plants and flowers that really made a huge impact at our event. Let me start off by saying how wonderful Sara is! Not only is she incredibly talented but she is kind, caring and wonderful to work with. As a type A bride, I knew what I wanted when it came to florals and Lavender & Leaf was it. All of my Pinterest worthy boxes were checked as soon as I stumbled on Sara's Instagram and I fell head over heels with her work. Sara was the first florist I spoke with and once I did, I knew in my gut she was perfect for us. When we met to discuss my vision, I felt zero pressure to add more details, she had wonderful input but didn't force any decisions and had beautiful recommendations for our centerpieces.
When the big day came I was chomping at the bit to see the details---the bouquets (omg-- in LOVE), the boutonnières, our centerpieces (SO romantic)..literally everything was exceptional and came out better than I could have imagined. You can tell that Sara loves what she does as it shows in her work. She is exceptional all around and I highly recommend Lavender & Leaf!! -

We hired Sara of Lavender and Leaf to do our wedding florals, at the suggestion of our wedding venue. I did speak to a few other florists during the process (I was, after all, a cautious bride who did her homework) but was most impressed with Sara’s flexibility, ease of communication, and passion and knowledge about flowers. She was fair in price and in the time she spent discussing my vision with me, and I didn’t just love photos of the florals she’d done for other weddings, but I loved HER as a person. And trust me, liking and trusting your vendors is crucial for alleviating wedding planning stress. She’s such a good person and all our wedding vendors who’d worked with her before corroborated that.
Throughout the year, my vision changed a few times, and Sara handled each change with grace and was responsive to and supportive of my changes. Just a few weeks before, I decided to add a fairly substantial additional floral project and she hopped on the phone to discuss it and embraced it as I hoped she would have. Most importantly, the end result was spectacular. I cried tears of joy when I saw my bouquet for the first time which was whimsical, airy, and romantic, just as we had discussed. The table florals were also stunning, and I appreciated that Sara was willing to repurpose our ceremony florals into our reception tent to help us save money. She worked quickly during the cocktail hour to repurpose the florals and made them look perfect in just a short time. I also appreciated Sara’s willingness to consult on speciality taper candles that I was bringing in. She helped advise on the color of the candles, and even though i brought them in, she set them up and handle them on the day of.
Would recommend Sara to anyone! She was on time, hustled really hard on the day of, and made all my floral dreams come true. THANK YOU SARA!!!!!! -

Where do I start?? Sara was a dream to work with! I was one of those brides that felt like floral was the center of my 'theme' and the only real area I was bringing in a theme. I spoke to 30 different florists, and I chose Sara because she was not only understanding of my vision, but was willing to do what I wanted, instead of the other vendors telling me 'it would be hard' to do. Sara told me "this is a beautiful idea, and I would love to work on it with you". I decided I wanted to do a ton of bud vases, and I was able to provide them due to cost (not man florists let you do this). I changed my mind about 15 times throughout the year, from green and white, to all color, to grey and green, and eventually decided on my original idea - green and white. But not once did Sara get annoyed at me, or make me feel bad because I changed my mind. At the end of the day, she made my wedding. I can't begin to tell you how many people complimented the floral and fireplaces - i was always told no one remembers the floral and with Sara, they def did not! To all my brides out there - BOOK THEM! You will not be disappointed. -

Allison Sent on 11/01/2017Sara is amazing! She listened to the vision we had for our wedding and ran with it. Her attention to detail is amazing. I am not a huge fan of floral arrangements and Sara completely nailed the balance between flowers and greenery. All of her finishing touches completely enhanced each space at our venue. Everything had a purpose and looked beautiful. She also adjusted the plan as our wedding planning evolved and was able to provide perfect suggestions along the way.
She is amazingly talented!

She took my theme and put together bouquets and arrangements that I adored. She was also extremely understanding when I had a complete bridezilla moment and changed my wedding colors a few months out. I had people complementing all of the arrangements all day. Stephanie Sent on 12/18/2012Sarah of Lavender and Leaf Designs was awesome. My bouquet, all the bridesmaides bouquets and the guys boutinears looked stunning and we received many compliments on them. The flowers were delivered on time to the girls room where they were getting ready and to the church. They were also displayed beautifully for pictures. The bouquets in mason jars with water and the guys in trays with tags. She is very easy to work with &reasonable on price. I also requested extra corsages for my grandfathers girlfriend and my grandfather a boutinear at the last minute and they came through for me. The only negative thing was that they had to substitute glass bowls instead of the square vases I originally signed up for on the church alter and used at the card table at the reception later. I really didn't like the glass bowls or the look of the design. Everything else was perfect.
