Can’t say enough about the Laurrapin team and how great they were for our wedding rehearsal and wedding day! The food was delicious and Tepi and Bruce were so helpful accommodating our crew who had lots of food allergies. Carla was also so helpful on our wedding night making sure everything ran smoothly. Awesome Caterer!!!

Corporate Reception

Larrapin did a wonderful job helping us with a Corporate Reception. We wanted heavy appetizers and a beer and wine bar which they provided both! Everyone raved about the food and the professionalism of the servers who came to the event. They set up and cleaned up which left us next to nothing to do after the event! I would highly recommend them!

My Favorite Part of the Wedding

Picking Laurrapin catering was the best decision we made.
My husband and I are in our mid-thirties. We've been to more weddings with rubbery chicken or too little food than we can count and it was important to us that the food at our wedding be good especially with the amount you pay for it. I didn't expect that Laurrapin catering would not only deliver fine dining quality food but also end up being my favorite part of the wedding. After all of the planning, and let me tell you it was a hard year planning at wedding in 2021 when all of the vendors were maxed out/overworked/overbooked, to look down our table and see everyone talking and sharing a good meal felt very gratifying (really it made it feel like the large cost of the wedding was worth every penny). Our guests are still raving about the food a month later. It wasn't wedding food at all it was fine dining with all of our friends and family. Beyond that Amy helped every step of the way asking the right questions and making sure all of the details were considered and going to be perfect for the day. Amy was really the MVP during the wedding planning process which made one of the biggest pieces of the puzzle easy and gave me peace of mind. Amy and Bruce know what they are doing and will deliver you amazing food that your guests will remember for all of the right reasons.

Amazing food, amazing price

We ate SO well - without going broke. The coordinator was so kind, so amazing. They were generous enough to even lend us some wooden rounds for our centerpieces. Above and beyond service that took away a lot of the stress of the planning process.

Delicious hospitality

Kelly and the Laurrapin team did a wonderful job with our wedding. The food was amazing and plentiful, and I would recommend Laurrapin on that merit alone. But even more, Kelly and the catering staff were instrumental in keeping the day running smoothly. We turned our table decor supplies and diagrams over to Laurrapin, and they made sure that all of our centerpieces, escort cards, favors, and tables were set up perfectly. It was such a relief to know that those things were taken care of while we were getting ourselves ready for the day. Kelly even set aside hors d'oeuvres & drinks for my husband and I to snack on during our cocktail hour photos and made us to-go plates for after the wedding. Many thanks!

I cant express how great it was to work with Laurrapin. Kelly was amazing and just the sweetest person! They were super flexible with all the changes throughout the whole process. The staff the day of was phenomenal. The best part of course being the delicious food. I dont have enough fingers to count the amount of people that told me the food was delicious and some of the best wedding food theyd ever had!

Using Laurrapin catering was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We had not heard of them before and are not from the Havre de Grace area but it came up in one of our searches. They had availability for our date, had an amazing menu to pick food from, and were way more reasonably priced than other caterers we had contacted. In addition, they were flexible. We had picked our menu in the winter for a summer wedding. At our first tasting, the food was beyond delicious, but the Chef, Bruce, came to talk about how heavy the food was for an outside, summer wedding. We decided he was right and changed our menu a bit. Laurrapin even allowed us to come back for a 2nd tasting to finalize our decisions. Kelly, the coordinator/manager, was accommodating, flexible, and so friendly. Kelly and Bruce even came to the venue before the wedding to meet us and the venue to ensure everything ran smoothly. The day of, Kelly and her team, set-up the reception and also took care of clean-up. During cocktail hour, Kelly found us to give us food and our signature drinks. At dinner, she had set-up our plates for us and even remembered the detail that I did not like rockfish; therefore, this was not on my plate. I think I may have mentioned this months in advance at the first tasting. We supplied our own desserts and alcohol but Laurrapin still displayed all the desserts, had 2 bars set up with signs, and served them. The food was delicious and all the staff was friendly. After the wedding, the venue staff said that they were wonderful to work with and were even considering using them for their own personal event. We could not say enough wonderful things about Laurrapin and are disappointed that we won't be able to eat their delicious food on a regular basis or have a reason to communicate with Kelly. We would recommend Laurrapin to anyone who has an event to be catered. The amount of food, quality of food, price, and service provided is unbeatable.

Sherifa, the manager, could not have been more accommodating and professional when it came to planning our day, from the food to the floor plan to even the schedule of the entire day. She responded quickly to all questions and concerns and was very knowledgable. Of the many things she went above and beyond for, she made my vision come to life regarding the cupcake and cake display we had, even though the restaurant did not supply them. She was able to work around last minute changes that were out of our control, which greatly reduced our stress. They were hands down the most involved catering company we ever could have imagined. The staff lived up to the same standard, from being professional to personable and everything in between. Our family could not stop raving about the bartenders! We would strongly recommend Laurrapin for anyone that prioritizes local ingredients and a variety of quality foods. They did an incredible job!!

Laurrapin underwent a lot of changes while we were a client with them. The most notable was a complete changing of our point-of-contact for the wedding catering. This news was only reported to us 3 months out from our wedding and caused quite a bit of stress on our end. We felt like we had everything planned with Laurrapin only to find out we needed to almost start from scratch. However, it is important to note, this delay in notifying us was no fault of the current staff, but staff that has been replaced. Luckily for us, Kelly took the reigns shortly after the old staff was dismissed.

Kelly was a joy to work with from start to finish. Happy to take calls, answer emails, and even meet in person when we needed to. Kelly was as meticulous about details as we were for our wedding - double and triple checking linen colors, glass types, china style, etc. As the wedding approached, we were still nervous but luckily found those fears to be completely unfounded. The day of the wedding, Laurrapin was absolutely amazing.

The main reason we originally went with Laurrapin was the food. After trying 4-5 other caterers, we were blown away when we tried the offerings at Laurrapin. At the other caterers, our samples were what we could categorize as "wedding food". At Laurrapin, the samples we got were OUTSTANDING. We're extremely happy to report that amazing taste and presentation followed through completely to our wedding day. All the meticulous details were present, too: paper straws that matched our colors, A1 sauce for our parents, specialty vegan meals, etc.

We also cant say enough about the staff the day of the wedding. All of the servers were extremely nice, the bar tender was super sweet, and everyone was so professional. We were completely taken care of the day of the wedding.

In short, we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone for their wedding. We loved working with Laurrapin, and loved their food even more.

Our beautiful spring wedding was catered by Sherifa and team from Laurrapin and we were OVER THE MOON with their service. Sherifa went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect (even with a few messups from the bride, me). I highly recommend them and will absolutely use them for any future catering needs!

Working with Laurrapin was amazing. They provided excellent service from the very beginning. I corresponded with a few different people but at the very end was working with Jaime and Sherifa. They both were great. Any time I had a question or a request, Jaime was quick to answer and was so kind. The moment I met Sherifa she put any worry I Had to rest. She was so organized and had an answer for every set up questions and idea I had. The staff and Sherifa handled everything the day of and everything looked perfect. There was a little hiccup in the linens I rented and Laurrapin handled all of it with my vendor. I had no clue! The food was delicious, the drinks were great, the staff was friendly. We are huge foodies and my husband is a chef so they had some tough critics with us and in the crowd. We were so pleased. Also, the restaurant in Havre de Grace is amazing too!!! If I had to do it all over again I would 100% choose Laurrapin as our caterer.

I could not have asked the Laurrapin to do a better job!! I was so impressed with the staff, the display of food (taste too, Yum!), and the overall attention to detail.
The BEST part about their service is that my husband and I had our own personal waiter. We had one person solely dedicated to us to make sure we ate and drank. I don't think I would have remembered to do either if it wasn't for them. Before the wedding day itself, I even requested a full glass of water and wine be on the sweetheart table for the two of us at all times throughout the night, and every time I went back to that table my glasses were always full! This gave us a chance to have more time to spend with all our guests instead of trying to track down a drink when we needed one, so so nice!
I loved having the Laurrapin be a part of my special day - I would not change a single thing! Thank you guys, you rock!!

I can't even begin to tell you how much Laurrapin exceeded my expectations! They catered my wedding about two weeks ago and it was honestly the best night of my life, mainly because of their amazing service! Seriously, from the food to the service from the staff Laurrapin completely took care of us from start to finish. They made it so that me or my husband didn't have to worry about a single thing. Sherifa and Jamie were beyond amazing and super helpful from the intiial contact to the day of the event. I couldn't have asked for a better caterer to be there on my special day and I will for sure be using them in the future!!!

Working with Laurrapin for our reception catering was great. We met with our consultant to determine the menu and then set up a separate tasting. When it got closer to the wedding day, our consultant met with us at our reception site to go over logistics. I loved that our consultant, Jamie, helped with figuring out the linens and colors and was able to help with the decoration setup. The food was amazing and our guest keep telling us how delicious the food was. I wish I had asked for the left-overs! Good price and they came recommended from our reception site.

Laurrapin really went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect. They worked with us to choose the best buffet menu for our day, and their food was so, so yummy. We had some vegetarians/vegans/people with dietary restrictions and Laurrapin made sure they all got an entree they could eat (and from what I hear, those entrees were amazing too). Our venue was a state park shelter so it was very DIY, but Janice met with us beforehand to do a walkthrough and advise us on set up, and then she and her team worked hard the morning of our wedding to not only set everything up, but make it even more beautiful than I'd even imagined. My husband and I were really well taken care of on the day of our wedding, and the Laurrapin team made sure we got to try all the appetizers even though we took pictures during cocktail hour, that we had plates made up for us so we could eat while our guests went through the buffet line, and that we always had a drink in our hand when we wanted one. I can't praise their hard work, friendly demeanor, and delicious food enough. Without Laurrapin, our perfect day wouldn't have been nearly as great!

Laurrapin was amazing. They took care of so much that everything went off without a hitch handling the rentals and the table set up. I was speechless when I saw how they had arraigned everything with the help of my groomsmen.

I was worried that my few friends with dietary restrictions would be something of a problem but the food they gave out to my vegan and vegetarian looked beyond amazing. They were just so fantastic.

Laurrapin was super professional and were able to accommodate changes up until the day before the wedding. Everyone loved the food, but my favorite part was that they included set-up and clean-up of the reception in their services. They were on top of everything from the band set-up, to making sure everyone left on time so that I would not be charged a fee by the venue. It made my whole day very hassle-free. They are pros and I have not a single complaint about their work on the big day!

Laurrapin and Janice are amazing!!!! They made our wedding so much fun and took away so much stress. From our first contact with them, they were easy to communicate with. They responded quickly to emails and were easy to make appointments with. Janice has an awesome personality, full of humor, but also super professional that I just found so easy to work with! She listens to all of your ideas and gives you honest input. She really understood our vision of the day and helped us reach it. Choosing a menu was really fun and the tasting was a blast. The food on our wedding day tasted exactly as good as the day of our tasting! Everyone raved about how great the food was. I cannot emphasize how delicious it was! And the presentation was beautiful. Imagine how surprised and happy I was on the day of my wedding when I saw they had added edible flowers to the plating (steak, crab cake, fingerling potatoes, asparagus). The day just kept getting better and better with them! Service on the wedding day was superb. Throughout the day, staff asked me if I needed anything. It was very reassuring! They setup and broke down the wedding like champs. Everything looked beautiful! We rented tables, chairs, linens, and tableware through them. It was magical walking into my reception and seeing everything set up so beautifully. And I think the price was very reasonable, considering everything we got! And the best bonus of all is that we can go to their awesome restaurant anytime we want for great food! Thank you Laurrapin and staff for making my wedding the best day of my life.

I cannot say enough about how glad I am that we booked Laurrapin for our recent wedding. Janice, Sherifa, and the rest of the team were so easy to work with - creating a super unique, fun, and delicious menu within our budget. They accommodated my husband's shellfish allergy AND my pescetarian requirements. They made sure there were a couple of servers assigned to bringing food and drinks to us and our bridal party during the cocktail hour, even though we were off taking pictures - so that we got to actually enjoy the food at our wedding. They served us at our sweetheart table, even though it was buffet style. They created both of our signature cocktails perfectly. All of my guests continued to rave about the food well after the wedding. They helped me to pick out the perfect linens and china to bring my vision to life. The day ran so smoothly - I never heard about any issues because they made sure to take care of everything and just let us relax and enjoy our special day. I VERY highly recommend using Laurrapin for event catering. They were fantastic!

Janice did a wonderful job every step of the way, from the earliest stages of planning to making sure everything ran smoothly on the day of the wedding. They were so flexible and accommodating to everything that came up - my husband's request for a ribeye steak entree, my mother in law's special dessert request, a separate meal for my grandfather, even a meal for a vegetarian + gluten free guest (they even brought her special gluten free versions of some of our appetizers!). The food was absolutely delicious and well presented, the linens and table settings looked just as I imagined, and Janice made sure everything was perfect. When we had our walk-through, Janice had a list of questions - lots of details I hadn't even thought of - and it was so nice to be able to relax and know everything would be taken care of. When a thunderstorm started rolling in right before our ceremony and we were considering doing our cocktail hour before the ceremony to see if the weather would clear up in time to have the outdoor ceremony we had planned, Janice was totally ready to make it happen for us. Really the Laurrapin went above and beyond our expectations. Trust me, you need Janice there on your wedding day!!

Janice and Sherifa are fabulous to work with, and made our wedding day and the preparation leading up to it a breeze. Janice ran the show the day before/of the wedding, and everything was organized and went off without a hitch. The food is phenomenal, and we received many many compliments on everything the from the appetizers to the main course. Laurrapin offers menu options outside of our typical wedding fare which was refreshing in our search. I highly recommend Laurrapin to any couple that wants to keep their guests happy by serving them delicious food!!

We loved working with Janice and the Laurrapin crew. It was easy to ask questions, figure out details, and Janice helped guide us since we're a relatively laid back couple. She knew the right questions to ask and helped narrow down our selection. She even coordinated with the other vendors and her staff put out our centerpieces, favors, and other little signs. We were able to change some things last minute and everything came out tasting wonderful. We started with meats, cheese, fruits, bacon wrapped scallops, shrimp and grits, then had steak, cod, portabella mushroom wellington with seasonal veggies, and finished with an awesome brownie and ice cream sundae bar.

Laurrapin did an OUTSTANDING job with our wedding! Janice and the staff do so much more than just the catering- from coordinating to decorating etc and they do a fantastic job at all of it. We received nothing but positive feedback from all of our guests- even our guest who had food allergies, as Laurrapin provided her with her own separate (and delicious I was told!) entree! There was no other vendor that could provide what Laurrapin could for our wedding rehearsal and wedding day. My husband and I come from large families that love to eat; food was important for our wedding weekend. Laurrapin was PERFECT from day 1 until the day we said "I do." We had an initial meeting with Sherifa of Laurrapin and she helped us create a menu for our wedding day. I say create because she literally had amazing, original ideas that were perfect for my husband and I, not a set menu we had to choose from; we made lobster mac and cheese, cod fish, and so much more to go with our Cape Cod wedding theme! We did a tasting and the food was beyond amazing. We adjusted the menu until we were right on with the budget we wanted (Laurrapin will work with you until you can make your food dream a reality) and moved forward. We met with Janice for the rehearsal dinner planning and had the same exceptional experience! When our August weekend came closer, the entire Laurrapin team was at our venue discussing the best set up for food stations, table locations, timeline, and more! I met with Janice and went over all decorations for rehearsal and wedding and everything was executed perfectly. Laurrapin is so much more than an outstanding catering company. They have a passion for what they do, and were wedding planners, caterers, and friends all in one priceless package. I was so confident leading up to my wedding because I knew with the Laurrapin team the weekend would be flawless. Guests raved about the food! 2 months later and I am still hearing about how it was the best food that's ever been served at a wedding, as far as taste and presentation. I highly recommend Laurrapin :)

You can not go wrong with Laurrapin!! They have the most amazing people working their catering services. They acted as my wedding coordinators and cleaned up my venue for me, they set up and broke everything down and even decorated the tables with my centerpieces for us! They bent over backward to make sure that not only my food, but my whole wedding day and experience went off without a hitch! The food was delicious. I cannot stress that enough. Our wedding food was memorably delicious and the presentation was perfect.

My husband and I have been eating at Laurrapin Grill for years and they always provided us an amazing dining experience during our visits there, so we decided that we would pursue them for our wedding. They were very professional, experienced and knowledgeable. We had such an amazing experience with Laurrapin that we decided to have our rehearsal dinner at the restaurant the night before the big day! Buying local is important to my husband and I and if you live in the area please consider Laurrapin! I cannot rate them highly enough.

The food was wonderful and Janice was amazing. I picked a more diy venue and while the details were driving me crazy, I never once worried about the catering. Her staff perfectly put together the centerpieces, guest book, gift table, and at last minute provided a table and baskets for my programs. Towards the end when I was feeling overwhelmed, Janice would email to ask if there was anything they could do to help me become less stressed. Every detail was perfect, you definitely get much more than a caterer. In the beginning she helped tweek my menu to get into the price range that was affordable for me. On the day of the wedding, the staff was friendly and accommodating, several guests mentioned how truly nice they were. They made plates and to go boxes for me and my husband. If I could give them more than 10 stars I would!!

Sherifa and her team were outstanding to work with during our quick planning. Janice, the catering manager was very responsive and had outstanding ideas. You cannot go wrong with the Laurrapin. Janice the event coordinator has been in the business for a while. She has everything down to a science, she is organized and there to answer any question we had. Now let me tell you about the food....AAAAAAAMAZING! The taste and presentation did not match to any other vendor we looked into. Laurrapin allowed us to do a tasting prior to putting a down payment/booking with them. They were also accommodating for our request to make our own menu, Fried Chicken, mac-n-cheese, crab cakes and veggies. We did not want the typical Steak and Chicken option. Laurrapin also was more than happy to make the crab cakes using my mothers recipe, which is very important to us and our day. My mom is battling cancer as I plan my wedding, my fiance loves her crab cakes. I simply just asked Janice if they would make my moms recipe, no problem at all. They were right on, taste just likes hers! The day of our tasting my mom was not doing so well, was unable to participate in the tasting. I again simple asked Janice if we could set up another tasting down the road for my mom so that she can feel a part of the process. Janice had no problem saying YES! and we are in the works of making a special tasting for my mom! I am not kidding when I say you cannot go wrong with Laurrapin.

I cannot say enough nice things about Laurrapin Catering! I was drawn to them because of their farm-to-table approach to food and the fact that they are also a neighborhood restaurant. Janice and Sharifa were a joy to work with from start to finish. They made us feel special and well attended to from the tasting to the wedding night farewell. Our guests have not stopped talking about the "family style" service and the butternut squash ravioli! My husband and I have not stopped talking about how much we appreciated the attentiveness of their servers and Sharifa (the owner) the night of the event. We never went without food or drink and were given top priority without feeling like we were being pestered. We were also very happy to see that the cooks had accommodated our requests for alterations to the food. We still don't understand how we received such top notch service and food for such a great price. Give Laurrapin the chance to wow you, they will not disappoint!

Laurrapin Grille provided the most epic, delicious meal for our wedding. We had cocktails and hors d'oeuvres (bison sliders, watermelon & feta skewers, mini crabcakes, bruschetta), followed by a barbecue feast (pulled pork & roast suckling pig, grilled chicken, fresh peach & arugula salad, potato salad, coleslaw, avocado & tomato salad, cornbread & rolls). The food was better than we had even dreamed possible: incredibly, fabulously delicious. Our guests raved about the food, and continue to gush to us how much they loved it, now 6 months out from the wedding. The catering consultant was delightful to work with: very professional and effective, very nice, very flexible and willing to work with us. We cannot recommend them enough!!

We got married on September 13. Laurrapin catered our wedding and I cannot say enough good things about them. They made our day perfect!

We got married on my sisters farm, which meant that we were responsible for all the rentals and vendors ourselves. Laurrapin set up all the rentals of our tables, chairs, etc. and included it in their contract so I just had to pay Laurrapin and they took care of the rest of the vendors, and that was a huge relief.

We started with a tasting which was a much better experience than the others. Janice (and Sherifa) would bring us a dish, tell us what it was and then walk away so my husband and I could try it and talk about what we liked and didn't like without the pressure of them sitting with us to hear our opinions.

We had a few hiccups leading up to our wedding and I'm so glad we had Laurrapin. For our tent, a floor through out and sides were non-negotiable because of the farm. About two weeks before our wedding Janice called to tell me that the rental company I had put a deposit down with for tent (and floor) a year before had sold their flooring during the year and no longer carried it. While I was having a small panic attack, Janice told me she had priced it out with other rental companies they work with and had a quote for me to go over at our meeting the next day. She also got the first rental company to apply my deposit to the rental of tables and chairs so I didn't lose any money.

The day of the wedding we were having problems with the power (blowing fuses in the house/barn) and Janice kept reassuring me they would handle it - and they did. And the rest of the night was perfect.

The food was amazing, our guests loved it. I recommend Laurrapin to everyone I know looking for a caterer. The value is unbeatable for the amazing food and out of this world service.

Laurrapin catered my wedding in Rising Sun, MD, and was one of the easiest and best decisions I made. The food was of the best quality, and all of my guests were raving about it. We had a somewhat unique venue, and Janice and her staff at Laurrapin were very accomodaing and willing to go "outside the box" with some of our requests. Instead of a cake we opted to go with a dessert table, and they set everything up beautifully. I'm so glad we got to take the extra desserts home because they were incredible! Not only is the food amazing, but the service is outstanding. Janice was quick to answer my questions, and was easy to work with, especially concerning last minute changes.

Hands down - Sherifa was the best! She was so professional, we had many guests comment on how wonderful she was. She thought of everything to maintain flow of the day, including starting hot apple cider and coffee with dinner when it got chilly outdoors. And...of course...the Laurrapin food was AMAZING! We opted for the buffet option so we could have chef's carving stations - that way everything was at its freshest and guests could try as they like and select portions. Laurrapin Grille will go down as one of our favorite wedding day decisions!

Best food and service I have ever had! Truly and Sincerely I say this, I love Laurrapin Grille and it was a perfect fit for my wedding day. I wouldn't have picked anyone else. The staff there is amazing, truly professional with all smiles. The appetizers, entrées, desert bar, I can't even begin to describe the sensation my taste buds felt with every bite. I highly recommend using them for any special occasion. My favorite food of the day were their bacon wrapped scallops, and their flat iron steak was mouth watering. All of my guests loved the food, I didn't have one complaint about anything! During cocktail hour it was much appreciated to have hand served appetizers, and staff walking around serving everyone while they were mingling. All I can say is Laurrapin Grille is just wonderful, over the top!

Laurrapin Grille catered my daughters wedding and welcome party. From the food to the service, it was wonderful. The staff is professional , thoughtful and personable. The menu they came up with was beyond out expectations. We did a tapas menu of short ribs, flatbreads to pulled pork sliders . Wonderful risotto , mushroom ravioli with spinach cream sauce, and stuff mushrooms. Desserts were small cheesecake, key lime pie and chocolate mousse. Guest raved about the menu. Janice and Sherifa both did a phenomenal job for our wedding reception. At first I thought their policy of having you pick a rough draft menu before doing a tasting was strange but after we got to try everything, it made so much more sense. I had a great idea of exactly what we would be getting if we went with them after just the second meeting. It really helped me become decisive instead of changing my mind 20 times.
We ate at the restaurant twice prior to the wedding and both times the service and quality of food was stellar. They did nothing less for our wedding- Our guests raved about the food and the display. We had 4 passed hors d'oeuvres (bacon wrapped scallops, mozzarella tomato bruschetta, prosciutto wrapped asparagus & duck confit) and Janice sent over our own server with trays of them so all of the wedding party could have some and did not miss out while taking pictures. They also brought us over a tray of our signature drinks. We even had a display of various meats, cheeses and jams which tasted as delicious as it looked elegant.
For dinner, we went with a seated, plated duet of crab cake and chicken (The chicken was stuffed with cheese, prosciutto, spinach and tomato but I forget what it was called) with sides of roasted fingerling potatoes and satueed seasonal veggies, after a summer apple gorgonzola salad. Again, we had the same server coming to check up on us periodically to make sure we didn't need anything and if we did, she got it for us immediately. The meal was delicious and I am so happy we ended up being able to enjoy it and didn't get pulled in 20 different directions by guests.
We had some issues come up with our venue (including having to move our ceremony forward an hour 3 weeks before the big day!!!) and not only did Janice ensure that they were there on time to take care of everything, she also made me feel better about the last minute changes by treating it as no big deal.

We used Laurrapin as the caterer for our wedding reception and they were fantastic! Janice was such a joy to work with and made the process very easy. We were very particular with our vision for the reception, and they did a great job seeing our vision and making it happen.

The food was AMAZING! Janice was so sweet to work with us on our menu, and they did a great job of providing alternatives for guests with special dietary needs (we had one vegetarian and several gluten free plates needed). Out of all the vendors used for our wedding, Laurrapin was the favorite! We honestly cannot say enough about this company or Janice!

Wow, What can I say? Janice, from Laurrapin catering was one of the "bright spots" in our wedding planning venture! As stressful as it can be coordinating all the details, she
was calm, accommodating, cheerful, professional and helped us KNOW we were going to have a great wedding reception. It absolutely was! We are particular and wanted a caterer with not only high marks for food but other important areas as well. They delivered in every way from the "tasting" through the planning meetings to the end result. There were smiles and helpful attitudes from the staff and their displays were beautiful. The Laurrapin was our favorite vendor from our wedding. We used to live in Havre de Grace, so we'd frequent the restaurant pretty often. When we learned that Sherifa and Bruce(the owners) did catering too, it wasn't really a question of who to book for our wedding. Janice was our main point of contact. She quickly responded to emails and phone calls, and was very flexible with us. On the day of the wedding Janice kept everyone organized and running according to schedule.

I would recommend the Laurrapin to anyone. Whether your event has 500 people or 50, the Laurrapin can cater to your budget, style, and size. When we received our contract, everything was broken down into groups, so you really knew where the money was going. For our wedding we chose the Salmon en Croute and the Chicken Fricassee. We've had the same salmon dish at the restaurant, and it was exactly the same on the day of our wedding. Even with mass production of these dishes, quality was never sacrificed.

Even if you find a cheaper vendor, think twice about it. The Laurrapin will provide a lot more than food at your event.

Usually when asked to recommend a product or service I can be a bit hesitant unless I know specifically what someone is going to use it for. I mean, it worked well for me, but how am I to know if it'll be right for you?

Sometimes, and it's rare, there is a product or a service that you can recommend without hesitation or qualification, without worrying about what someone else might be looking for. Laurrapin is one of those companies that I can recommend, knowing full well that they'll deliver for you.

We used them to cater a non-traditional wedding, one that involved newlyweds well into their fifties with close to a dozen grown children between us. We wanted our food to help create a certain "atmosphere". From the start, Janice and Sherifa worked hard to come up with a menu that was tailored exactly to what we were looking for. What impressed us about our early meetings was that they listened more than they talked and when they came back to us with recommendations they really nailed things. I can't describe how unique and personalized a menu they created, incorporating foods from various ethnic backgrounds of family members and finding really unique ways of presenting it.

At the actual event, they delivered beyond our wildest expectations. Communication leading up to the wedding was perfect and timely, setup was not only done exactly as we wanted but they worked around a serious winter weather event and set up a couple of days early so that we could minimize any disruptions. Their service staff was fantastic and the food both presented and tasted EXACTLY as it did at our private tasting event. Janice made sure that Laurrapin delivered just as they had promised.

We have had so many comments since our wedding about how incredible the food and service was. Perhaps the greatest compliment, and the highest recommendation we can make, is that we've already started trying to figure out what our next event can be that will involve Laurrapin Caterers!

There aren't enough words for how wonderful Laurrapin was to work with! From the first meeting to the last moments of the wedding their team provided top notch customer service. I don't know what I would have done without Janice and Sharifa.

They not only helped us arrange a menu the fit our wishes as well as our budget, but also helped with all of our rentals. They are not only a caterer, but in my experience, a wonderful planner!

Their attention to detail was much a appreciated and couldn;t have been better! I did not want beer bottles to be handed out at my reception and they made sure to have all alcohol poured into glasses and not a single bottle left the bar, not even at the FOB's request!

For the quality of service and DELICIOUS food we received I would say the cost is much lower than what they coudl be charging! If you don't use them as your caterer you will be missing out on A LOT!

I found out about Laurrapin on Wedding Wire, back in the stressful days of wedding planning and looking for our caterer was, I'll be honest, something I dreaded.

I grew up in Harford County, and thought it was of the utmost importance to foster a local company for the most special moments of my families' lives. We decided to have the wedding at my parent's home. We met with Sherifa-- she was calm, focused, warm and friendly, and we knew it was the perfect fit for us and our big day.

We started with a meeting with my mother, myself, and Sharifa and Janice. These ladies are worth more than their weight in gold. They helped ease my Mother's anxieties about hosting the wedding at her home, plan a menu that will, I guarentee, be talked about for a long time amongst my family and friends, and, were so flexible about changes, adaptations to our needs, the serving, and all the details.

A few days before our outdoor (very) rainy wedding, we decided on plan B being more tents, more staff, and minor changes with the walk-through map. They brought Bruce, the chef who made the most delishous food I've ever had at a wedding, more staff, a wonderfully positive attitude, and a calm nature to get it done at any cost. They were wonderful, beyond amazing at providing appetizers for my groom and I during pictures, prepared us dinner plates for our sweetheart table, and always asked if we needed anything at all.

I can't stress enough how much our guests loved the food either.

If you want to be the best, you go the extra mile. Laurrapin should be commended how much they contributed to making it such a beautiful event, despite the rain. They eased my poor mother's stress, and we will be going back again to thank them in the future. Sherifa and Bruce, we wish you all the success you deserve. Future clients, you will not be disappointed, at all, and you will try to describe how wonderful they were to you, of that I am sure. We loved them...

Janice and Sherifa were great to work with from the get go. They met with us at our venue and listened to all of our ideas. The chef was on board with helping us create a 1950’s style BBQ themed wedding. We wanted BBQ themed food, but with a twist. The Menu ended up being perfect from the short ribs to the potato salad and corn on the cob! Throughout the whole process they were easy to get in touch with and reliable.
The day of the wedding was so stressful for me as a bride and they were so flexible and supportive. Our ceremony was supposed to be at the Concord Point light house at 5pm and it started to down pour at 4:45pm. The whole team of Laurapin went into overhaul to get things set. They had extra staff come over to help set up and everything came together perfectly. We were able to have the ceremony and reception under the tent outside of the Spenser Silver Mansion! It continued to pour the entire wedding and their staff was soaked. I felt so awful but there was not one complaint from any of them! My guests raved over the food and service.
Things could have gone so wrong with the torrential down pour. It could have been a disaster. I cannot thank Laurapin enough for their hard work and smiles throughout the whole experience. After being loyal customers of the restaurant, we decided on Laurrapin to cater our backyard wedding of 113 guests. Needless to say, their food is outstanding, some of the best in Maryland by far. But their catering services go above and beyond the food that they serve.

From the time we first met with Janice and Sherifa, to the initial tasting, to the day of the event, everything was fantastic. They listened to our ideas, helped us develop a wonderful ‘down-home’ menu and helped us take care of every detail of our wedding. We decided early on that we wanted fried chicken. Laurrapin came through with some of the best we’ve ever had. Despite our somewhat complicated request to have the meal served family style, everything was served promptly, hot, and in plentiful quantities that continued to be replenished as it was eaten. They also exceeded our expectations by providing their own serving platters for each of the dishes on every table, at no cost.

Additionally, they helped us arrange and manage the event, set everything up, guided us in designing a bar menu that would make everyone happy, figured out what rentals we would need, and made sure that everything was cleaned up for the rental company. This last part is exceptional because they left our grounds virtually spotless.

When hosting a wedding at your own venue there are a lot of details to consider. Laurrapin was totally comfortable in this environment. They scouted the property and developed a plan that would work for the entire day. One of the best aspects of their service was that they needed very little in terms of space or resources to execute all of their services. Where other caterers made exuberant demands or discouraged our ‘family-style’ setup, Laurrapin embraced the opportunity to impress us.

I cannot stress enough what great value and peace of mind Laurrapin provided for our wedding. They definitely helped make our wedding an event that we, and our guests, will never forget.

We recently used Laurrapin as our caterer's for our wedding that was held on September 14, 2013. They did an amazing job. Janice listened to all the ideas my husband and I had and was able to accomplish exactly what we wanted.

The food is amazing. People say the bride and groom don't get to eat dinner but we made it a priority as we knew how amazing all the food would be. We had family style services which encouraged everyone to sit down together and share the experience of eating local, wonderfully cooked food.

My husband and I got married in September and the Laurrapin did an amazing job catering our wedding! Supporting local farming is very important to me, so when I found the Laurrapin, who provides local produce and meats at a reasonable price, I was sold. The food was so wonderful! My guests were raving that this was the best food they have ever eaten at a wedding. Many of them asked about the restaurant so that they could visit in the future. My daughter got married this past June and at the beautiful Donaldson Brown Mansion in Port Deposit, MD. The Laurrapin was highly recommended by this venue. We met with Sherifa and set up a tasting. Needless to say, the food was amazing! We didn't have to look further....we wanted the Laurrapin and could not have been more pleased. The Laurrapin team went above and beyond to make my life easier during the stressful wedding planning process! Since this was an outside event, they gave me a list of everything that we would need for the event....the number of tablecloths, plates, forks, spoons, glasses, etc.....all I had to do was forward it to the tent and party supply company. It was like having a caterer and wedding planner all in one. The Laurrapin make sure every little detail was perfect. I had a lot of touches to add to the tables and they followed through with each detail. They also offered to help the florist set up. They were willing to do whatever was needed to make sure we had a perfect day. We decided to have a dessert table instead of a wedding cake. I asked Janice and the Laurrapin team if they would set up the table after dinner. I gave them minimal instructions and they set it up beautifully, beyond my expectations. They just did an amazing job. The entire staff was fantastic....they were all so kind and professional....we never felt rushed. Several of our guests even commented on how wonderful the staff was. The Laurrapin also made sure that my daughter and the entire bridal party were well cared for. They had drinks and appetizers for them immediately following the ceremony and during pictures. Sherifa and Janice always returned my calls and emails and answered any question, big or small. They were truly a pleasure to work with and their execution was flawless! My husband introduced me to The Laurrapin when we first met and it was a place we really enjoyed having dinner together. We knew when we got engaged that we wanted them to cater our wedding. Bill and I worked directly with Sherifa and Janice who were both beyond amazing. Both of these ladies were wonderful and did everything they couls to help us create our special day. They helped us come up with a custom menu suited to exactly what we wanted. When we told them we didn't want a buffet or sit down dinner they suggested doing stations. Our guests absolutely loved it. They did more than just cater for us, they worked directly with out Wedding planner making sure everything was perfect. My husband and I have been married for a few months now and everyone from our wedding continues to tell us how great the food was. The Laurrapin Grille catered our wedding event. Let me start by saying the food and service was phenomenal! Sherifa (co-owner) and Janice (event Manager) were a pleasure to work with; truly professional. They were very flexible and accommodating with our requests and helped us create a unique and delectable menu. We opted for station service which allowed for a wide variety of menu items (similar to Tapas) and elected for passed hours d’oeuvres. I believe we had around 15 different options. The food is top notch and the ingredients are sourced locally and served fresh (nothing frozen or processed!). They also offer vegan options. The staff provided for our wedding (servers, bartenders, bussers, etc.) were fantastic and not the typical level personnel you come to expect at catered events. Sherifa and Janice were on-site for the entire wedding and tended to every detail and our every need (making our tables beautiful even helping me with my dress when it came un-bustled!) Our guests continue to comment on how wonderful the food was. We continue to visit the Laurrapin restaurant for lunch and dinner and highly recommend them for your event!

It is amazing when you find two people who care so much about the product they provide. Bruce and Sharifa take time to work with their clients through every step of the catering process. I have the pleasure of working with them with many events in Havre de Grace. Each and everyone has been unique and delicious. I know that I have no worries every-time they are involved in a event.

Laurrapin provided outstanding service and the food was absolutely wonderful. My daughter and new son-in-law could not have been happier with the outcome. They raved for days after the taste testing and had exactly the menu created for them.
Servers could not have been more attentive and friendly. In terms of flexibility, I called several times two days before the wedding with minor changes in locations and they got everything perfect.
One of the best compliments actually came from my husband who is strictly a "meat and potatoes" man. He loved the food and choices.

When deciding where to have our wedding, we had already visited several country clubs, the Belvedere, the Engineers Club, etc., and nothing seemed to appeal to us. The venues were too formal and sterile (especially for a 2nd wedding), and the menus lacked individuality and were never exciting. Moreover, the food was just terrible and tasteless - in most cases, almost like cafeteria food. When we decided to switch back to having a home wedding, we wanted a caterer with an exciting menu, a great price, and zagat rated accolades who could handle a home wedding event with over 125 pp. We could think of no other restaurant who could meet that challenge EXCEPT the Laurrapin Grille.

A month prior to the wedding, Sherifa and Bruce Clarke visited our home; Janice, Sharifa and Bruce had already listened carefully to our food ideas and helped craft the menu choices from there in conjunction with how our home was configured. Even when we added last minute changes to our original menu choices, Laurrapin handled every request with ease and calm. No problem, they would say, and make the changes quickly.

We had always dined at the Laurrapin when we visited Havre de Grace, and knew their food was excellent. When we consulted with Sherifa and Janice, we knew instantly that they would do a tremendous job with not only the food, but the entire evening. And we were correct!
The evening of the wedding, the entire staff arrived and moved like a professional ballet troupe - gliding in and out between our huge family (already there for pre-ceremony pictures) with trays and paraphanalia - setting up everything without any issues and within an hour.

When we first heard about Laurrapin, we decided to eat lunch at their restaurant (Laurrapin Grille). After our meal, we knew that we wanted Laurrapin to cater our wedding.

Laurrapin went above and beyond all of our expectations. The biggest reason why my husband and I could relax and have so much fun at our wedding was because of Sherifa and Janice. They helped us plan all of the meticulous details so that we had nothing to worry about. After we signed our contract, Sherifa introduced us to Bruce (the chef) and they helped his figure out the table arrangement at our reception venue (at La Banque de Fleuve). Janice facilitated the rentals and made sure that we did not miss anything.

During the reception, Sherifa somehow always magically appeared at the right time. At the start of the reception, the venue was packed and there was no way for us to move through the crowd to get our champagne glasses for the toasts, but Sherifa must have read our minds because as soon as we entered, she was making her way towards us with our champagne glasses. After dinner, people started eating the cupcakes when they were not supposed to yet (since we had cupcakes instead of a cake). Sherifa replenished the cupcake tower and guarded it so that it would look perfect for the pictures.

Now for the most important part – the food. It was the most important aspect of the wedding for us. We compared Laurrapin’s prices (and the quality of the food) to other caterers and there just was no contest. When we told Sherifa that we wanted seafood jambalaya as one of our entrees, she took on the challenge with the chef and created a beautifully plated dish that surprised us at our tasting. All of the food was phenomenal and all of our guests commented on how they never thought that wedding food could taste good until our wedding. Two months later, people are still talking about the beef sliders and butternut squash ravioli.

When we decided to have our wedding reception at LaBanque in Havre de Grace we knew immediately that we wanted Laurrapin to do our food. What I didn't expect was that they would help me coordinate everything else as well. They made everything easy, from helping with the flow of the event though coordinating our rentals for us, and setting up and tearing down the event. They were fabulous and had wonderful ideas about how to make our wedding day special.

And lets not forget our food. The food at our wedding was awesome. We are still getting compliments over a month later from our guest about how good the food was. One of our guests told us they had been to 12 wedding in the past year and don't remember the food at any of them. But they told us there was no way they would forget our food.

The Laurrapin has been one of my favorite restaurants in Havre de Grace. When my husband and I were looking for the perfect place to have our wedding reception (Residence's at Bulle Rock is where we chose) I was so happy to see the Laurrapin on their list of preferred caterers. I called them immediately and was introduced to Sherifa who was so kind and such a dear to work with. We made an apt for our taste testing and before we knew it, our menu was ready! Leading up to the wedding, Sherifa and her staff helped us so much in tweaking our menu and also going over the layout of where things would go at the reception venue. I can't tell you what a help Sherifa was to me in making our wedding day so memorable. We had crab cakes and filet which was made on site and do you know how hard it is to prepare a piece of meat for 170 guests to their liking? Well the Laurrapin did it and to this day i am still getting comments from our guests on how delicious the food was. The bartenders were so respectful and nice to our guests and they conducted themselves in a very professional way. I want to thank Sherifa, Bruce and all of their staff for putting on a great presentation for us on our wedding day. I could not have done it without you guys!!

The Laurrapin Grille has been my favorite restaurant for a number of years. Then an extremely handsome man asked me out on a date, and unbeknownst to him, took me to my favorite restaurant for dinner... 6 months later we celebrated our 1/2 year anniversary there... 3 years later we stopped in to snap a few engagement photos at the bar and shortly after we booked them as the caterer for our wedding!

I never thought a restaurant could mean so much to me as the Laurrapin does. We didn't think twice about who would cater our wedding, we went to no other venues. We called, we tasted (for fun we know we love their food) and we booked.

Sherifa (wife and owner) and her team provided outstanding catering service at our wedding, and Bruce (husband and owner) provided a tasty meal that people still yearn for. The Laurrapin prides itself with its local connections to farms, and even grow their own vegetables. All of these little details meant so much to us. Not to mention, the price is too-good-to-be-true, especially considering the quality and professionalism.

Sherifa's attention to detail and care for your event is wonderful and comforting. We knew we were in good hands. We had an outdoor event, and because of iffy-weather, Sherifa arrived earlier than planned to get a head start and to make sure all of the little details were tended to. When her staff arrived, well to be honest I don't even remember seeing them! Not because I chose to ignore them, but because they were so swift and good at their job, they were like quick-footed-catering-ninjas! Our wedding was beyond memorable, and our favorite restaurant helped make that a possibility-with the amazing food, set up and details, and wonderful service. Prior to our wedding day, one of our friends suggested that someone will step up and help us ensure that we are properly prepared for our big day. From our first meeting with Sherifa in March, to our wedding day, she was the person who made sure we were completely prepared. One week before the wedding, Janice reviewed our entire rental contract and made sure we were aware of items that were missing or miscalculated. Sherifa was there bright and early on our wedding day to make sure the rental company delivered all the items. She then went to work in setting up the tables and decorating. The tables and center pieces were beautiful! Sherifa stayed for the entirety of our wedding, making sure we adhered to the schedule, and most importantly, made sure we ate. After our wedding, the guests all remarked on how wonderful the food was. From the start to the finish, Laurrapin was an excellent caterer and we would recommend them to anyone.

My wedding day could not have been more amazing and beautiful without the help of the Laurrapin esp. Sherifa, Bruce and Janice. From the food, to the coordination, to the display of the entire event, it was all so perfect; not to mention I had to change some things last minute and it was never an issue.

They worked with me step by step and were never close minded about my ideas. For example I am German and my husband is Austrian, we wanted to represent that part of us with a Bavarian food display which was never a question to put together; and the authenticity of the food itself was right on.

Coordination was easy as they punctually contacted my other vendors to ensure the timing was right and the inventory was up to date. They saved me a few hundred dollars with a rental place after they found the inventory was more than necessary; details that I didn't have time to review over or just couldn't see myself.

So many of my guests have said to my family, my husband and myself how it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to and I have to thank the Laurrapin crew for all of that!! I would recommend them to any woman who feels lost in putting her wedding together.

From the beginning, when we first sat down with Janice and Sharifa to discuss our interest in using their catering and location, until the day of of our wedding, we could not have been more pleased with their services. We had a very small wedding of about 33 people including myself and the groom and we had our reception at the Laurrapin Grille. The staff was very accommodating (we had kids who were too picky for what we had chosen, a guest with a food allergy, and it was very hot during the ceremony outside so to say the least upon arrival everyone was very thirsty) and friendly. Throughout the entire process, any questions or concerns I had were responded too quickly, and they were very considerate of our budget, always working with us and offering suggestions to stay within the range we initially set. The food was spectacular!!!! Even though we had a small group, we had quite the variety of flavor pallets and without a doubt, everyone was more than satisfied with the quality (and quantity) of the food. They did a spectacular job and I can not praise the Laurrapin Grille and their staff enough. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone for use of their catering on or off-site.

When it came time to pick a caterer for my wedding I knewn automatically it had to be Larripin. I am an import to Maryland from New Jersey and havent found a place I like more than Larripin here in Maryland! My wedding day experience with Larripin was wonderful! Sherifa, Janice, Bruce and all the staff were excellent and fun to be with. I LOVED the bartender! Everyone at the wedding was blown away at the quality and deliciousness of the food. I had some people that had food allergies and Larripin made sure to fully accomodate them in each course of the meal. Our wedding reception was incredible! The whole experience of working with the catering coordinating team (who my husband now refers to as the “Dynamic Dou”) was a lovely one. From the moment we sat down with Janice and Sherifa I felt relaxed; all the stress of planning a wedding went away. Not only do they create a menu of f of your vision, they help guide you in the right direction. They understand the importance of giving you what you want on your wedding day. At the actual reception the entire staff was friendly and full of smiles; everything was executed according to plan. People couldn’t stop talking about the food; we are still receiving emails from people saying the food was the best they have ever experienced at a reception. When we got engaged we had decisions to make such as where and when but one thing we knew for sure was who would cater. The Laurrapin has outstanding food as well as an accommodating staff. From start to finish Sherifa walked us through every step of the way and was very knowledgable and flexible. She cared about our vision and made it happen. We had passed appetizers and stations which worked out perfectly for our intimate outdoor wedding. The food was amazing and all of our guests were impressed and well cared for. I've lived in Havre de Grace for 5 years and I knew when we decided to get married in HdG that Laurrapin was my first choice for a catering. They have the best food in town hands down. Sherifa and Bruce are so fun to work with. Sherifa really loves her job and it shows. My fiance and I weren't really sure what we wanted, but we gave her a direction and a price point and she came up with some fantastic ideas! The day went off without a hitch and my guests LOVED the food.

Laurrapin Grille has been my husband and I's favorite restaurant for quite some time, so it seemed obvious that we would use them to cater our wedding. And, of course, they did not dissappoint!!! Sherifa Clarke and her staff were absolutely fantastic and the food was absolutely amazing!! We were married in October, and we decided to go with seasonal foods. We had a butternut squash ravioli, a carving station that included fresh salmon, beef tenderloin, and turkey. We had a buffet set up and it worked out perfectly. Sherifa was very flexible and really helped coordinate my whole wedding. People are still talking about how great the food at our wedding was!!! For me, that was the most important part, and the price was so reasonable. We continue to eat at Laurrapin regularly and will be forever grateful to Sherifa and her staff for making my wedding so memorable!!

The Laurrapin was a MAGNIFICENT caterer! They had expert advice about any and everything food and drink related. Their professionalism was out of this world. Their ability to meet with me, my daughter and son-in-law, and wedding planning was extremely conducive to our hectic schedules, and put us at ease when the process seemed to consume us. They responded to emails and phone calls instantaneously and always offered wonderful advice. They listened to our idea of the perfect wedding and made it POSSIBLE. They offered many selections and let us pick and choose how we wanted our cocktail hour and dinner. They even came up with a signature drink! Their prices were unmatched and provided a high quality and reasonably priced meal.

Sherifa Clarke and Bruce Clarke run Laurrapin Grille in Havre de Grace. The food at their restaurant is fantastic, so we knew they were a sure bet for our wedding. They were super flexible with our stations idea and cocktail hour, and the food received compliments from all our guests (the bride got to eat too!). Definitely get the crab cake on fried tomato and local sliders passed hors d'oeuvres. They also do seated dinners, but I thought their station ideas were great - they even roasted a suckling pig for our Puerto Rican station, which got high marks from our guests from PR! Laurrapin is extremely flexible with alcohol plans, and I was truly amazed at how affordable they were (our costs were 1/2 here than anywhere else we looked). They and their staff are extremely pleasant and professional - I'd use them again without question.

The Laurrapin’s services were, in a word...a dream! They were awesome. It was very important to us to patronize a local business with a wide variety of options. Their catering managers worked with us closely in our menu selections, assisting with choosing the perfect blend of options for our guests. Rather than just the cliche wedding options, there were delicious and interesting cocktail hour and meal choices. They also were so helpful in coordinating table/linen/etc rentals and keeping everything moving on the day of, in stride with the venue coordinator. Our guests still can’t stop raving about how much they enjoyed everything. The Laurrapin’s services on our day are a big part of the memories we will cherish for years to come!

I'm having a hard time finding where to start complimenting Laurrapin Catering. They were OUTSTANDING! It started with my husband's and my meeting with Sherifa, where she helped us create the original, fun, non-" wedding food" menu we were craving. Where else can you get tomato soup with mini grilled cheese, shrimp and grits and Brussels sprouts bruschetta at the cocktail hour and braised short ribs and fried chicken as entrées? All made with locally-sourced ingredients! Janice was remarkable as the catering manager. She was so helpful, especially during the hectic week before the big day. The reception was set up beautifully, better than I could ever imagine! And the food on the day of the wedding was just amazing. Everyone raved about dinner; I am still getting compliments days later. Every detail was taken care of, right down to the warm apple cider at the bar! The service staff was friendly, helpful and just on point the entire night. I could not have asked for a better caterer!

I hired the Laurrapin to cater my wife and I's rehearsal dinner for 39 guests. Janice, the catering manager, was very helpful and great to work with on the event. In the beginning, there were some times when communication would drop off on their end when I was trying to get an initial contract signed, but as Janice assured me, it would all be perfect, and it most certainly was. Once we got within a few months of our event, Janice was spot on with timely and clear communication. She was able to work within my established budget and provide an exceptional stations style dinner for our guests. Guests raved about the quality of the food, and many of them had three or four servings from each station. The staff working on the day of our event were also very professional, helpful, and extremely pleasant.

Janice and the Laurrapin Team were pleasures to work with. Amazing, delicious food! Guests loved the wide variety of unique appetizers during cocktail hour - everything from flatbread pizzas to Thai chicken lettuce wraps. Laurrapin worked with us to create a perfect menu that fit our budget. We wanted an ice cream bar and Laurrapin made it happen. Janice and her team did a great job of decorating the venue exactly the way we envisioned. Very professional staff. Couldn't have been happier with our experience with Laurrapin. Highly recommended!

First off- this is a great restaurant with delicious food. They might even be better in the catering department! Janice and Sherifa were great to work with. SO accommodating and really set our mind at ease. We did our fair share of revising the menu in the months leading up to our wedding so we appreciate their help, insight, and flexibility. My fiance, parents and myself went to the tasting and it was a full blown meal and beyond. We weren't expecting that. They even offered for us to come in again after we had made menu changes. I was a little nervous leading up to the wedding just because I felt like I wasn't totally on the same page- but you have to remember these are professionals and they do this close to every weekend and so the small things you may sweat are hurdles they deal with every day with ease. That they did. They really go above and beyond- they have a variety of bars which they decide based on your style of wedding, they have really cute props and decor and signage. Sherifa is a stickler for making things pretty- and it will be! This is more of a communication issue on my part, but typically I thought caterers cut the wedding cake. Granted- it was an outside baker, and Laurrapin provided other delicious desserts, and we didnt do a whole grand cake cutting ceremony, but not a slice was cut. Again, probably our fault, and this honestly wasn't an issue for me, but since you're so busy on your wedding day I felt like this is something that should have been noticed by them. Otherwise- great food (real food), beautiful presentation, and sweet people.

Laurrapin was absolutely amazing! Especially- Sherifa and Janice, they are wonderful and so incredibly nice! They are great planners, well organized, attentive to every detail, and not to mention have awesome ideas to make the evening extra special! The food was phenomenal! Perfect! Everyone loved it!

Amazing service and food!

When my Husband and I started planning our wedding, our food was one of the most important things for our day. We had a vision and Laurrapin really brought that to life for us. Our menu consisted of flatbread and taco food stations as well as a carving station. We still are receiving compliments about the food. The staff was wonderful and took such good care of us the day of the wedding. Kelly was so awesome to work with and was really made sure our menu was everything we dreamed of for our wedding.
They also catered my bridal shower brunch and again everything was AMAZING.

Definitely recommend!!

They did a fabulous job with our wedding!! Everyone mentioned how great the food was. The service was excellent. They were professional, easy to talk to, flexible, and they knew how to be available and stay on top of everything without taking away from everyone's experience at all. We would highly recommend them to everyone.

Laurrapin was a wonderful cater for our wedding! They worked with us for numerous sit downs for menus and coordination, always making sure that our wants fit into the budget. The event coordinators were very responsive, mostly in less than 12 hours. The day of the wedding, everything went very smoothly because of them. They made sure all the other services were on track and the Bride and Groom did not notice any hiccups! They also made sure we got all the alcohol and food we wanted. The only reason I didn't score them a 5 on the value was because the linen colors for the guest tables at the reception were not correct. But otherwise highly recommend them!

While getting in contact initially was a bit of a struggle, every encounter after that went smoothly. The staff was so knowledgeable and professional that I did not have to think or do much at all! The food is local and delicious and was able to satisfy all dietary restrictions and picky palates! The staff also did a wonderful job with the set up of the reception and making sure the bride and groom were well hydrated and fed throughout the event.

I loved having Laurrapin cater our wedding! Locally sourced foods, ethically raised meats, prepared perfectly, displayed tastefully. The array of flavors and quality of delicious foods were repeatedly complimented. I received a text the evening after our wedding: "I am still full! What great food!" Janice was lovely to work with too! Great sense of humor, pleasant and reassuring. The price was more reasonable than other companies (and the other companies don't provide the uniquely crafted, high-quality foods). As the date grew near, I had a few instances where I couldn't reach Laurrapin to answer some last-minute questions, which was a little nerve-racking, and they didn't do a few small things that they said they would (like put the presents into the house and break down a few decorative tables I had put out), so my parents had to stay late and finish that stuff. It was all fine in the end, though and I would choose them again!

After researching many many catering companies we chose Laurrapin because of the value,flexibility in making the menu very individualized and the food was DELICIOUS. Its the type of food you would actually find at any of Baltimore's finest restaurants. Everyone complimented us on our food over and over again. The staff was so very attentive to us as well as all our guest. Thank you so much Laurrapin for making our night go exactly as planned.

The Laurrapin did an amazing job catering to our needs and making our wedding day a dream come true! The food and service was perfect. All of my guest complimented me on how unique and delicious the food was. While planning the Laurrapin was available to me, even though I planned my wedding a year in advance. I would be glad to use them for any event in the future. They truly made us feel like it was our day.

Fantastic! With no exception, the guests remarked that the food was exceptional. The hors d'ouevres were wonderfully displayed. The dinner portions were very generous and perfectly perfd wonderfully for the occasion. This was absolutely consistent with the tasting that we had before the event. Sheriffa and Janice were fabulous. They assisted us with getting the right dinner-ware from the rental facility prior to the event. They also took the time to provide guidance and set up all the table arrangements. The servers and porters were friendly, efficient, and professional.

Incredible food! Great, friendly staff

The food was amazing, the staff was so helpful kind and flexible (we had to hire them for an extra hour since our family was having such a great time, and they accommodated.) They accommodated my dietary preferences and did a non-vegan and vegan menu. I highly recommend!

The Laurrapin Grille is an amazing place! I was so impressed with my tasting...I picked items right off their suggested menu and was so pleased I didn't change a thing! The food is to die for...great flavor and quality and fairly priced. Sherifa and Janice have been great to work with so far. There was a bit of diffuculty reaching them by email at first but calling and stopping in they were always really flexible despite their busy schedules. I cannot wait for my wedding day to have all of the delicious food we selected for our buffet! I have no doubt that everything will go smoothly and be of great quality!

We worked with Laurrapin Catering for our wedding of 200 guests. Sherifa was quick to respond, especially in the last few weeks leading up to our wedding. Her and her catering staff were efficient the evening of our wedding and all 200 guests enjoyed the food and drinks. We had a lot of ideas to incorporate and she was willing to see them through to the end. I would recommend Sherifa and her staff for any future events.

We chose Laurrapin Grille for their sourcing of local and sustainable foods, delicious homemade recipes and to support a local restaurant in Havre de Grace, MD. On our wedding night, the catering team executed with precision and professionalism. They followed our decorating instructions to a T and even allowed us to leave the decor at our venue until the next morning! The food was excellent and our guests still rave about it! The only hiccup during the planning process was the lack of responsiveness to my calls. However, since I let them know, they've set up a separate phone line/voicemail from the restaurant. My girlfriend has chosen Laurrapin for her wedding and has had no problems with communication.

Our food was amazing for the wedding! We definitely wanted a small local caterer and to support our local farmers, so Laurrapin was a perfect fit! They were very flexible with our menu and such a good cost! They provided better, fresher, more unique food options than other caterers, with a significantly better price! The only concern I had was responsiveness during the wedding planning- it would sometimes take more than 2 emails over the course of a few weeks to get a response, and sometimes details were not noted properly so when I got our final layout for the day, several details had been missed and never noted from previous emails. Also, we were supposed to have drinks and hor d'oeuvres brought to the bridal party during the cocktail hour since we were taking pictures, but we didn't get any, so I never got to try our cocktail food! But at the end of the day, I would not have chosen another caterer and they did a great job! The food was SO GOOD!

Laurrapin was great for our wedding! Sherifa and Janice helped not only make the food fabulous but also helped coordinate with all of the rentals and other vendors! They have a great relationship with our venue which allowed us to set up early which helped ease our stress! Food was delicious, I'm still being complimented on the appetizers and meal! Bartenders were able to make the signature drinks we selected with ease. Would highly recommend Laurrapin for any event. We hope to use them again!
