Our Winery Dream Come True

From the start of our planning in 2019, to our postponed wedding coming to life in 2021, Laurita Winery helped us every part of the way and exceeded all of our expectations. The team was flexible with us, extremely helpful with creative recommendations, and above all maintained the quality standards of their gorgeous venue.

We worked with their new coordinator, Danielle, who was extremely organized and helped us finalize all of our details. Danielle literally made our wedding dreams come true on the day of the wedding. Rain was forecasted all day, which woul ruin the outdoor ceremony we had dreamed of for the past 2 years. Danielle knew how much we wanted an outdoor wedding, and was extremely flexible with our rain plan and let us make the final call. The rain held out and we were able to have our ceremony outside! Without her that never could have happened, and we are forever grateful.

The winery venue itself is absolutely gorgeous; SO many different spaces for photos and so much inside space for guests, dancing.. with a beautiful aesthetic throughout. Our guests were also thrilled with the wine and food; Dinner and Cocktail Hour was absolutely incredible!

Laurita Winery is a perfect venue for a unique experience

I have been to events catered by Branches but have never experienced such a unique experience with Branches at a very unique venue, Laurita Winery. Upon arrival, the staff accommodated our every needs, even providing us with a wagon to take pictures around the venue, a special thanks to our driver, Walt, who is always a pleasure to work with. Within two hours the staff transformed the venue into an even more magical venue then it already is. Even throughout the evening, they continued to transform the venue. From the cocktail hour to dinner and the dessert table to name a few. I didn’t even notice the staff was there, they took care of EVERYTHING. Mike, the wedding attendant, was there when we needed him and was extremely quick to deliver. The food, the venue and the staff were all very amazing. I hear from others that things aren’t always perfect the day of and try not to get upset. I can state that the entire day and evening was just perfect. I wish I can relive the day OVER and OVER again. Thank you Branches and Laurita for making our special day one that we will always remember.

Amazing wedding

We had an incredible experience having our wedding at Laurita. Through out all of the planning with BJ, she always made me feel heard. She was so open and accommodating. During our rehearsal is when we met Mike. He was so cool and really put us all at ease. The day of was completely flawless. Every idea and detail was executed perfectly and that’s all thanks to the team at Laurita (especially BJ and Mike). I have no complaints whatsoever. I would recommend anyone to choose this venue for their wedding. Not only are the grounds stunning and well maintained (prefect for an outdoor ceremony) but you’ll be in the best possible hands. Trust me, these guys know what they’re doing. Mike and BJ— you guys helped make our dream wedding come true!

From the moment I discovered Laurita Winery, I fell in love. What an amazing venue. When I first got engaged we immediately booked. Everyone is so professional and they really go above and beyond to make your wedding amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better day. Everyone is raving about how much of a great time they had and how beautiful it was. Thank you to BJ and the Laurita staff for such an amazing day.

The venue was absolutely stunning! All of our guests said how beautiful it was. We got married just before sunset and had a beautiful ceremony overlooking the vineyard. We would highly recommend getting married here!

Laurita Winery was the perfect backdrop for our wedding. The scenery was exquisite and the indoor space is beyond interesting and cool. The dancefloor being separated from the dining area allowed for people who wanted to talk and enjoy more quiet to be able to do so. We utilized Branches for catering and have nothing but glowing things to say, but I'll save that for a separate review. As you work with an outside catering company, you don't have much contact with Laurita or Laurita staff; however, the winery was more than accommodating in scheduling the wine tasting with us (all of which were delicious) and answering any questions we had about the space.

Laurita Winery was an absolutely beautiful location. We were lucky enough to have an outdoor ceremony which was magnificent and then the reception was stunning inside the winery itself. Our photos so far are amazing. Even had we been forced to do the ceremony inside the space is so beautiful that it would have been really special. Plus the wine and champagne from Laurita was great and the manager who helped us select it was very helpful and generous, letting us taste everything including opening a bottle of champagne just to let us taste it.

When it was time to begin planning, my husband and I were ultimately searching for a venue a little different than the norm that would nicely match our personalities and the creative vision we were building. We found that and then some in Laurita Winery. The fact that Branches Catering and Laurita are connected the way they are made our choice that much easier.
Branches Catering provided a cocktail hour and wedding menu like you’ve never had before. The food was delicious! My husband and I made sure we sat and enjoyed every last bite. It’s been two weeks already and our family and guests are still raving about how great the cocktail hour was and how incredible the meals were.
We visited the winery a handful of times leading up to the big day to discuss logistics, options, our ideas and creative vision. Billy Joe was our main contact and she deserves a million hi-fives and thousands of hugs. She was completely open and excited through every step of the process. If you’ve been to Laurita before, you know that the winery is a beautiful space in itself. The decorative setup and execution for our wedding reception was breathtaking. She took every one of our thoughts and ideas and built us a masterpiece. She is one of the nicest and hardest working people we have ever met. We could not be happier with the final result. As with family and friends revues of the food, same goes for the venue, its staff and wine.
I could easily type pages more about our experience and how absolutely happy we are with everything. It was a perfect evening from top to bottom that we wish we could relive every single weekend.

Our wedding was perfect at Laurita Winery. The view just speaks for itself. The staff from Branches Catering and food from there and wine was amazing. We are still hearing so many comments about our wedding. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!!! The best part is we can go back to the winery over and over again. They have so many different events throughout the year some including the grape stomping and Food truck weekends concerts. You name it they have it. We will always have a place to go to for other enjoyable events and having that feeling of knowing we were married here :) I would recommend Laurita Winery and Branches Catering to anyone that is planning a wedding.

So glad we chose Laurita for our wedding venue! The place is simply stunning. I still have guests telling me how beautiful and unique the ceremony and reception were. I think it's important to mention that their restrictions have changed for the BETTER since some of the older reviews. The winery is open to the public, but if you have your wedding there they close the winery at 5pm. For our 7:30 ceremony start time that was perfect. Our vendors had A LOT of setting up to do and still had everything ready to go! You can pay extra to have them close early but I didn't think that was necessary, especially since it was a Friday night in the summer and I knew my guests would hit shore traffic. We had beautiful weather and were able to time the ceremony with the sunset which made for unbelievable photos!

We used Branches catering, and WOW. Food was awesome! BJ was our wedding coordinator and she was a pleasure to work with. The entire staff was friendly and inviting. They DO have a wine minimum, but you get to take home all the unused bottles. And it's great wine!

Overall, couldn't have imagined a more perfect place to tie the knot! HIGHLY recommend!

I worked with Laurita through Branches catering. We asked for so many oddball things and the venue let us do whatever we wanted, which I loved. The only thing the vineyard didn't allow us to do was to give their wine as favors at the reception, which I learned is standard at most vineyards, so I can't complain. We gave wine jelly instead. Other than that, Laurita was GORGEOUS. Guests who have lived in the area their whole lives were aghast that they didn't know this little treasure of a vineyard is there. Everyone came up to us and said that our venue was one of the most beautiful they'd ever seen. Many said they felt like they were in Napa! It's so secluded, you'd never know you were in NJ. Loved every minute of my day there.

I had my wedding at Laurita Winery this fall- the location and building were stunningly beautiful! The event was handled by Conroy catering, but like the other reviewer I wanted to give some props to the winery as well. It is such a beautiful location in the countryside of NJ. All of our guests were blown away by this place! We originally wanted to have an outdoor ceremony near the building but the weather did not hold out. The indoor option in front of the huge fireplace was warm and inviting. I loved everything about this venue!

I had my outdoor wedding at Laurita Winery - a beyond beautiful winery in central NJ. Although my entire wedding was handled by Branches Catering (who does the outdoor weddings at Laurita), I wanted to review Laurita separately to say how satisfied I am with this gem of a venue. The beautiful scenery made our 90 mins drive entirely worth it and many of our guests who had longer drives said the same thing. We are sure we got lots of amazing photos because the place alone is that gorgeous. Their wines are not bad at all and I thought it was fun to introduce our guests to "Jersey wine." One of our guests liked the Cabernet Sauvignon so much he actually purchased a bottle to take home! If you are looking for a truly unique wedding venue, something different from the typical catering hall, I would definitely recommend Laurita Winery!

We had the reception at Laurita (but not the ceremony). It was everything I ever imagined and wanted it to be. The perfect backdrop for the perfect fall wedding. The owners and staff at the vineyard are amazing. So easy and great to work with. I couldn't give Laurita a better recommendation. I have no negatives.

We loved having our wedding at Laurita Winery. It was the absolute, most picturesque venue for our fall wedding. Not only were we able to have our ceremony, cocktail hour, dance room, and reception in all different spaces, we were able to get pictures at the most effortlessly, beautiful locations on the property. Lauritas wine was a delicious addition to our wedding. My wife and I would absolutely recommend Laurita as a wedding venue.

I always wanted to get married at a winery, but didn't want to pay for tents, tables, chairs, etc. Laurita is perfectly set up for a wedding. It's rustic and modern at the same time and my guests kept saying how cool the space was. We were supposed to get married outside, but the weather had other plans for us. As much as I would have liked to get married overlooking the vineyard, the staff did an excellent job setting up the ceremony inside. We got married under bistro lighting and in front of a giant fireplace with candles. Not bad! Shout out to Maitre D Mike for being so attentive and amazing.

A couple things to know:
1. There are a few different caterers that work with Laurita directly. We used Branches. The food was great, but they are your main contact for the wedding. There were times when their response time was slow and got me anxious. It all worked out in end though.
2. There's an Inn right down the road from the winery. We rented it out for the whole bridal party the night of the wedding. Each room is themed and the innkeeper serves a homemade breakfast in the morning. We also got ready there before the wedding. Highly recommend.
3. The winery is very rustic in that it is surrounded by farms. The view is amazing. The nearest hotel/ restaurant is about 20 minutes away from the winery itself. If you hire transportation from the hotel, just know the round trip is about 40 minutes which isn't ideal.
4. I see a bunch of people posted the start time had to be no earlier than 7 PM. Ours started at 6:30 which was totally fine. Since the winery is open to the public, the set up time is limited. I recommend using vendors that have worked a wedding at Laurita before so they aren't shocked by the short window time.

Our wedding was absolutely perfect! Laurita is such a different venue and we had a very positive experience. I only deducted from the rating because my main contact was a little slow with responding to my emails.

I just loved our venue-the vineyard and grounds at Laurita were breathtaking, especially on our wedding day. We had fantastic weather with an amazing sunset-we could not ask for more! The venue is so eclectic, as they used reclaimed materials to build the venue, giving it such a warm, rustic feel. Some things that were difficult for me was that our ceremony had to start at 7 pm because they are open to the public until 5 pm. That meant that our vendors could not get into the venue until 5 pm, which caused them some stress, though it wound up working out just fine. It did give us stress prior to the wedding though. We had to make sure that we took pictures elsewhere prior to getting there because of the lack of time. Otherwise, all else was wonderful and I would do it all over again!

We chose Laurita Winery for our outdoor ceremony/indoor reception. We happened to come across the winery after my parents relocated to the area. Right after we were engaged it was the first place we decided to look, as my husband and I love learning about and tasting wine. We were blown away by the beauty of the venue - being surrounded by the beautiful winery and lush vineyards, you'd never know you were in the middle of New Jersey! The rustic, elegant charm was exactly what we were looking for, and I love that the venue is environmentally-friendly. We looked at a few other places, but as expected, noting else compared.
It's important to note that for indoor receptions at Laurita, you work completely through Conroy Catering, whose food and service is outstanding, so please visit their page to see my review about that. However, my family, husband and I visited Laurita several times for tastings and events throughout our planning process and the staff was always so excited to hear we were getting married there, and were incredibly helpful - especially Stephen and Jan!
My only complaint about Laurita is that the event can't start before 7 p.m. unless you pay a outrageous fee. I understand that closing the winery early would affect revenue, but 7 p.m. is quite late for a ceremony start. Would have loved to start the ceremony even at 6:30 p.m. Luckily, we loved the venue so much, it was not a major issue for us!

The Laurita Winery is a beautiful location to have a wedding or simply visit! We loved spending time at the winery before our wedding and look forward to visiting each year on our anniversary! Conroy Catering is the exclusive caterer for Laurita. They did an excellent job helping plan the day!

My husband and I had our belated wedding reception/vow renewal at Laurita. The venue itself was gorgeous; rustic and modern at the same time. Everything was set up beautifully and I got many compliments.

The only complaints I received were: walking in through the little cafe area was odd and didn't make the venue look so good; there was no coat room; many things "walked off" throughout the night that I had purchased to decorate and even some of my favors. Can't vouch for whether that was due to Laurita or the caterer, Branches. Branches was difficult to work with and is the only way to book a wedding through the venue.

Wedding Review laurita winery

I attended a wedding this weekend. Food was fabulous; Danielle was helpful with my niece and was excellent in executing the minor details. Only downside to the wedding was the blond supervisor. She was loud and obnoxious during the event. She played around, in my opinion, way too much during the event. My table and I observed several times the unprofessionalism. The place was great, food was excellent and server was good. Wish you had someone more professional to run the event.

I loved having my wedding at Laurita Winery and would choose them again given the opportunity. There are just a few things to caution prospective brides of.

1) You won't be able to start your event until 7pm due to the winery being open during the day.
2) You'll work directly with Conroy Catering or the new caterer that I believe they are taking on so don't expect to interact with Laurita directly.
3) There are extra charges for things like removing picnic tables from the outdoor ceremony space.
4) Exclusive caters means very little flexibility on price and boy are they expensive (starting price is $129 per person) though it does include a basic wine package.

Everyone raved about how awesome our wedding Laurita was. It was absolutely gorgeous and having an indoor space to utilize in the event of inclement or scorching weather was invaluable!

The winery is an absolutely beautiful venue and a wonderful place to visit. My husband and I spent many days here enjoying the scenery before we were engaged. The views, history and atmosphere are unbeatable. We loved the location so much that we vowed to have our reception here no matter what.
As we got further into our planning, we realized we could have gotten a lot more for our money elsewhere. We had a large budget to work with, but compared to other people I know who planned weddings with similar budgets, I continuously felt like we weren't getting a good value for our money. There are countless limitations and extra charges. But overall, everyone was awed by the location and our photos were just stunning.
The winery has an exclusive contract with Conroy Catering (see my review of Conroy), so most of the issues I had were with the caterer, not the winery, but they go hand in hand.
Also, the winery is in the middle of horse country. The owners have a bed and breakfast next door where our bridal party stayed, but the closest hotel to accomodate all of our out of town guests was a 15 minutes drive away. There are no bars or night life in the area if your guests are the type who like an afterparty.
Pros: views, atmosphere, uniqueness of venue
Cons: cost, limitations, value for your money, no hotels or bars in close proximity, additional transportation costs for hotel guests/afterparty, etc

Hire your own Planner

Let me start by saying that I thoroughly enjoyed my wedding at Laurita Winery - the food, drinks, and location were excellent. However, I highly encourage any couple looking to book here to also have their own personal planner to manage conversations and day-of planning with this venue. I have many gripes, but my main concerns are below:
- Responsiveness: After we had booked with them, they were unreliable in being reached, which meant several follow-up emails and text chasing. The month before the wedding, I had several unanswered questions. Upon multiple email follow-ups, phone calls, and texts, we received no response. We decided to visit the winery the weekend before the wedding, unannounced, to get answers to all outstanding questions. While we received answers in person (after waiting 30 minutes for the planner), it should not have gotten that far.
- Professionalism: Three days before the wedding, a portion of the online contract was somehow deleted. I received a frantic call after 6 pm asking to help fill in the blanks of the missing components.
Many details for the Wedding day were ironed out on our last visit. These details were explicitly stated, and I witnessed notes being taken of said things, such as Reserved Seating during the ceremony in the front row, and Laurita was to provide a Gifting Box and a Cake Cutting Knife. None of these things were done; those expected to have front row seats after walking down the aisle during the opening processional had to find seats in between the second and third rows. We received a butter knife to cut the cake. Laurita requested a Gifting box, to which we repurposed a prop that was already on location.
On the topic of professionalism, the only alcoholic beverages included were wine. Because we wanted to serve other alcohol, Laurita provided a preferred partner liquor store to which we could source cocktail materials, beer, and mixers to which Laurita staff would service at the bar. As the night wound down, without our knowledge or approval, the Laurita bartenders gave out excess alcohol to the guests as they were leaving. They handed out whole boxes.
