One of the easiest decisions my husband and I ever made about our wedding was booking Lauren McGarry Photography for our special day! We met Lauren at a Wedding Expo in Albany, NY as we were on our way out the door and I am so glad we stopped to talk with her. Lauren's photographs were stunning & her albums were sleek and beautiful. She is such a nice and down to earth person, who took the time to know us as a couple and made sure she was able to capture all of the big and small moments of our wedding day. The day of our wedding was gloomy and storms were right on top of us, but we didn't stress because Lauren was so accommodating and took charge of where we could go so we still got great photos. At the end of the night, she even stood out in the rain to capture beautiful rooftop, stormy pictures overlooking the city of Troy, NY. I would definitely recommend Lauren to anyone looking for a truly wonderful photographer! -

Sweetest woman EVER + so extremely talented
Lauren and her team were such a pleasure to work with from the very beginning! We were only about three months out from our wedding when I reached out and miraculously she still had our date available. I didn’t have time to do an engagement shoot, so I was a little nervous since I had never met her in person but she immediately made everyone feel so comfortable in front of the camera. She guided us on how to pose and prompted us in ways that made all of our photos feel natural, fun and effortless.
She sent our sneak peeks over right away and they were absolutely breathtaking. She also went above and beyond by sending us additional photos ahead of schedule after we experienced an unexpected death in the family shortly after the wedding, which meant more to us than she will ever know.
Her second photographer, Hannah and her assistant were also incredible. Seeing how much they all did, I truly don’t know how a single photographer manages a wedding on their own. During the reception, I barely remember seeing them, yet they didn’t miss a single moment. I have photos I never even realized were captured and they make me so happy. I also have so many beautiful photos of our family and friends, which is such a gift to be able to share and cherish.
I highly recommend Lauren. It’s so clear that she truly loves what she does and takes the time to ensure every couple receives the most amazing photos from their big day. I couldn’t be happier. -

Lauren and her team were phenomenal to work with from Day 1. Her communication was always prompt, professional, and helpful. They brought such a calm energy and presence to our wedding day and one thing I never had a worry or stress about was our photographer/pictures. Going into our wedding day, it was so reassuring to have peace of mind when it came to vendors and Lauren and her team helped make our special day perfect. Would recommend endlessly & will continue to utilize as our photographer for all events/milestones in the future! -

We are ao happy we decided to work with Lauren for our wedding! She has such an amazing energy, so happy and fun to work with. We are in love with our engagement pictures and now wedding pictures. Lauren was so easy to work with and very flexible when it came to downsizing our wedding and not needing the second photographer. I would recommend Lauren to everyone! I look forward to possibly working with Lauren in the future, when we have kids! -

Accommodating. Talented and True to Her Word!
I've used Lauren twice and each time she has gone over and above expectations! I try to recommend her whenever possible! Her rates were also reasonable, hard not to chooses her company. -

Memories that will last a lifetime.....
Holy Talent! Lauren was prompt to responding to every email. That’s where it all started. She made the beginning process so easy. We planned our wedding during a pandemic and she made it seem as normal as ever. Our wedding was about 2.5 hours away and that didn’t even phase her..Her amazing attention to detail started with the initial contact and continued until we received the photos. The day of the wedding she was on time and on point. She directed us extremely well, but still took every step to make sure we were all on the same page. She captured every moment, every emotion, every highlight. We couldn’t imagine having anyone else there for your special day. She worked well with our Videographer, they bounced different ideas off each other to make sure nothing was missed. We would recommend her for any occasion. If you want to look at your photos every day for the rest of your life, you better reach out to her. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer or person to work with. Absolutely amazing!!! -

Engagement Photos Completed, Wedding Next May!
Lauren is the sweetest! The moment we met with her I knew I wanted her as our photographer. At this time, we have only had our engagement photos done. I felt super uncomfortable in front of the camera at first, but she did a great job with directing us how to pose without being overbearing. It was incredibly helpful, especially since our photo shoot day was so hot and humid. I cannot wait for our wedding with her, and to post more on that! If you're looking for a mixture of airy light photos with a touch of flirty romance, this is your gal. And her pricing is perfect. AND she is very responsive! Couldn't ask for better. -

While it may have taken me a few months to write this review, I don't have enough good things to say about Lauren. I had a hard time finding a photographer because I wanted someone who would be with me for the whole day, from getting ready to my sparkler sendoff at the end. Most photographers charged for each hour after five, but Lauren had a very reasonably priced package that gave me 10 hours with her. Lauren and her assistant were so easy to work with and gave great posing tips to make sure my husband and I looked great in every photo. She captured so many great moments and I will cherish these photos forever. I cant recommend Lauren enough and I hope to use her in the future for maternity and baby shoots! Stop searching and just hire Lauren, you wont be disappointed. -

The Best !
We hired Lauren McGarry as our wedding photographer and we could not be happier.
We both loved that she was so kind , and genuine and not pushy at all. We chose the package that comes with a photographer assistant to make the flow of things a little easier as we were not doing a first look and we were fighting the day light .
Lauren was so easy to work with on the day of and she made of both feel comfortable ! She was also always super responsive with any of my questions !
We just received our pictures back and we are currently working on picking our album pictures. We received about 900 images and there was a perfect mix of solo shots , wedding party , family , details , wedding guests , and dancing ! Looking through them brought back so many great memories!
Lauren also did a infant shoot for my nephew a while back and I highly recommend her for that as well ! -

Loved Lauren and her team!
My husband and I loved working with Lauren! She is so kind, caring, and flexible. She allowed us to feel super laid back while simultaneously capturing stunning photos. I was so uneasy about getting our photos taken and ended up loving every second of it. Lauren's personality, as well as members of her team, made this such a fun, comfortable, and amazing experience for us on such an emotional day! -

Lauren was so much fun to work with. Her and her team made it so easy to just sit back and just enjoy our wedding but also get the pictures we wanted. She was so quick with the turnaround and the quality is amazing. She is super sweet and super easy to work with. It was like just have one of your friends shooting your wedding. She was accommodating with any type of request and super professional. I would highly recommend her, loved her! -

You won’t be disappointed
I would highly recommend Lauren! She is an absolute pleasure to work with. From the first initial call to the even after we got our photos. She was kind, passionate about her career and accommodating! We even used her for family photos before our wedding! She did our engagement shoot and wedding ! Absolutely amazing photos! The most genuine person I’ve met! Her work speaks for itself, but dang you have to meet her! She’s awesome! You won’t regret having her do your photos! -

Lauren was absolutely fantastic. She made both of us feel beyond comfortable. I felt like I was sharing moments with a close friend. She’s super easy to talk too— and she’s also so skilled. She was able to capture movements for us that seemed natural, but she also did a wonderful job of listening to what was important to us. I can’t recommend her enough for capturing our day. It’s something so special, and the photos she took of us are something we’ll cherish for the rest of our lives when we remember the best days of our lives— and I don’t think there’s a single person that could of done it better. -
