Lauren is exactly who you want in your corner for your wedding day! She brings many years of wedding industry experience and provided us such helpful advice as we contemplated different ideas for our wedding. What drew us to Lauren was her use of light, perspective, and how she can tell a story in her photographs. We are blown away by the BEAUTIFUL photos she’s taken. She put us at ease in front of the camera, and as a queer couple, she was very aware of making sure we were comfortable in public places taking photos. We know we made the right decision in hiring Lauren to capture our love! -

Lauren documented our wedding journey all the way from proposal to engagement session to wedding day! Lauren photographed my now husbands surprise proposal in September 2024. She suggested he use a coordinator and florist for the proposal that we then ended up working with for the wedding! Lauren's beautiful personality shines through her photography work. She is someone that so obviously loves what she does, as was evident during our first wedding planning meeting with her. She moved us to tears as she described her passion for creating photographs of our love that will be viewed by future generations to come. We returned to our proposal site for our engagement pictures, where she seamlessly navigated a rainy day. Finally, she photographed our wedding day. Not only was she our photographer, she was a full on wedding expert! Lauren helped us navigate the timeline of the day, delivering gifts, wardrobe malfunctions, and all of the emotions that came with everything. Seeing our love through Lauren's eyes has been such a privilege and we are so thankful that we met someone so talented and special. -

If you want someone who is excellent at their craft, takes their art seriously, but also will make the whole process feel personal and that your love story is important, don't hesitate even one second with hiring Lauren to be your wedding photographer.
It's been two years since Lauren shot our big fat Indian wedding. I can say without ANY hesitation that if we went through this process now, hiring Lauren would not even be a question.
Growing up Indian American, I always envisioned my vendors for the wedding would understand the multicultural experience. I believe I was Lauren's first Indian wedding, and she did not skip one beat throughout the entire process. She asked inquisitive questions and took on all challenges head on. I could tell understanding the couple was also important to her and... that was so meaningful to say the least. She made the entire pre-wedding period just an absolute blast.
My first time spending a lot of time with Lauren was during our engagement shoot. This is where our chemistry, to me, felt very evident. She just made posing so easy, she knew how to maximize light to our advantage, and when things were not going according to plan (we were running out of time) she was quick to check in on what we should prioritize, etc.
Now to the wedding. Lauren felt like family during the wedding weekend. She brought it second shooters that I feel complimented her style/work but also added so much positive energy the weekend of the wedding. As one can imagine, Indian weddings can be pure CHAOS and she navigated it flawlessly. I have attached two pictures, which are only two of thousands, but I promise you each one is perfect.
Lauren has done several multicultural weddings since then (I would know, as I LOVE keeping up with her on socials) but more importantly, to me, is that she is so beloved in our family she also photographed my sister's ten year anniversary shoot, pregnancy photoshoot, and newborn shoot once baby girl was here. It's actually amazing to think about how that connection was all formed based off of an initial search more than two years ago.

Lauren is simply the best. From our first meeting with Lauren we could tell how passionate she is about her work. I found Lauren through Instagram (She photographed the wedding of a former colleague of mine), and my (now) husband and I immediately loved her work because all of the pictures seemed very natural (Not super posed) and we felt like they really captured the love and joy that the people in them had to have been feeling in those moments. After having Lauren document both our engagement and our wedding, I can confidently say that her photographs do authentically capture not only the moment, but our love story. We just received our sneak peek from our wedding a couple days ago and we have already had so many people reach out to us to tell us how beautiful the photographs are. When my husband and I looked through the sneak peek gallery for our wedding, we were both literally yelling "THESE ARE AMAZING" the entire time. Not only are Lauren's photographs truly beautiful, but she is so incredibly kind, helpful (throughout the planning process as well as on the day of the wedding) and just a ton of fun to be around. My husband and I are both pretty awkward people and she made us feel so comfortable while taking all of our photos (even in the midst of an excessive heat warning during our engagement session). We seriously cannot recommend Lauren enough. -

From the very beginning of working with Lauren, it was clear that Lauren was talented, creative, passionate, and wanted my husband and I to have the best possible experience. She was so organized and communicative, which we loved. Lauren shot our engagement pictures, welcome party, and wedding, and I can’t possible recommend her enough. The way she captured our special moments was better than anything we could have ever dreamed of. On top of her incredible work, she is an amazing person that we looked forward to spending time with and talking with. She was so flexible in working together to hone in our vision, answer any question, and offer suggestions. She truly went above and beyond in capturing every detail of our special day, and we are so lucky to have the pictures she took. We look forward to more big life moments that Lauren will photograph for us. Truly you will be so happy and lucky to have her photograph your wedding or any special moment! -

Book Lauren!!
Lauren is incredible to work with. I knew basically right after our first meeting she would make a great fit for capturing our wedding. We discussed style and overall vibe, and I felt that our visions aligned especially well. I wanted someone confident who would provide direction while being receptive of other ideas. From our engagement session all the way up through the wedding day, Lauren communicated efficiently and demonstrated so much expertise. All of that, and I haven’t even touched on her work! Suffice to say, it has been absolutely stunning. She came into the day with great ideas and direction and was accommodating to our funny requests (like a quick pre-wedding bar run for espresso martinis). She was super speedy getting us sneak peeks for both shoots, and they were all beautiful. I truly can’t wait to see them all. If you’re considering booking Lauren at all, do it. You won’t be disappointed!! -

2024 Spring Not So Mini Session
I had the pleasure of working with photographer Lauren Benson for a spring mini session with my family, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the experience. Lauren was absolutely wonderful with my kids, effortlessly capturing their personalities and ensuring everyone felt comfortable throughout the shoot. Not only did she deliver the perfect shots, but she also exceeded my expectations by providing a generous number of pictures, far beyond what was advertised. What truly stood out was Lauren's professionalism and dedication to creating a relaxed atmosphere; I never once felt rushed during the session. The day I can never forget and will now always remember
Having Lauren document our wedding was the smartest decision we could have made, aside from getting married of course. Every single moment was beautifully captured, which was so important since we got married during the pandemic. We were able to share with family and friends who were not able to make it, just how truly perfect our wedding really was. The day I could never forget is one I can always remember thanks to Lauren. Too bad I likely won’t ever get married again otherwise I absolutely would give her my return business 100 out of 5 stars. Hiring Lauren was truly the best decision I made for my wedding (yes! the best decision!). Not only was she really accommodating but she walked me through the whole process and even gave me a timeline of where she what she'll be shooting and what she'll be doing throughout the day of the wedding. I'm really detail-oriented and I'm so happy that Lauren is the exact same way. She really put me at ease and made the whole wedding planning process so smooth. Lauren Benson was the easiest person to work with. She's all about getting to know you, your other half, your history together, and what you love about each other. The moments she captures on your special day will make you relive that time in your life every single time you look at the pictures. She did our engagement photo session as well and she made us feel very comfortable. The angles she captures, the details she sees, and the timing of every snapshot creates beautiful moments in your life that you will never forget. Having Lauren as my photographer for my wedding day was the best decision I made. There was never a stressful moment. She was on point with her timing and didn't have to be told when to take a pic. It was like working with a really good friend that had mad photography skills. The quality of her pictures were amazing. She made sure that things were in order and had a whole agenda planned for the big day. Lauren really takes the time to get to know you and what moments you want memorialized forever. Lauren is absolutely AMAZING! The first impression I had of Lauren was that she was so genuine and takes pride in her work. She made us feel so comfortable with her as a photographer and her quality of work. Lauren introduced herself, her background, and wanted to know our love story. She took her time to get to know us instead of just rushing into her pricing for the engagement photos and wedding photos pricing and samples. I believe that is why both our engagement photo and wedding photo sessions were so easy because we got to know Lauren and Lauren got to know us. She knew our expectations and even added new ideas! The photos she took came out so beautifully that both my husband and I and our families were in awe. The quality of work she does, is by far the best we've seen. But, not only that, we didn't just gain a photographer, we gained a friend. I would definitely recommend Lauren for any photo sessions! Easy to work with, funny, creative, and just the absolute best! -

Jane Sent on 07/16/2019Category 5 Storm Typhoon Yutu didn't stop Lauren from photographing my wedding day!
My sister found Lauren on Instagram and knew right away that she had to be my wedding photographer. My then fiancé and I live in Northern Virginia but flew to the little rock we call home, Saipan, to get married on November 2018. Most of our family lived in Saipan so it only made perfect sense for our dream wedding to take place back home. We had it all planned out months in advance so there was no wiggle room for errors. Unfortunately, just 2 weeks before our wedding, a Category 5 storm Typhoon Yutu paved its course on Saipan. I was 8 months pregnant, truly devastated that my wedding would not take place. So many issues raced through my mind, there were so many parties involved—my florist, my venue, my church, my photographer—I thought, how were we all supposed to communicate effectively when I had no idea how their situation was after the typhoon, and there was no electricity on island to communicate either?! Thankfully, Lauren reached out to me 2-3 days after the typhoon. I was relieved to know that Lauren and her family were safe and unharmed by the Typhoon. I had friends, and some family suggest rescheduling our wedding to the next year, but there was no chance for that, rescheduling my wedding day was the last thing on my mind. Lauren knew I had my mind set to get married on November 3rd despite the circumstance that was out of our control, and she supported me 100%. Lauren photographed my wedding day, a full 10 hours- amidst the tragedy of Typhoon Yutu. Lauren was a new mother at the time too, being away from your baby for 10 hours is A LOT, and she still did it, for me, for us. I will forever be grateful. Lauren is not only professional, but she is passionate about what she does. We were blessed to have her photograph our special day. In all honesty, the fee for the packages may surprise you at first, but it is quality over quantity, you get what you pay for- professionalism, perfect shots, and memories that will last forever. Thank you again Lauren, best of luck in Florida! Saipan will miss you! -

Grateful and Blessed
I was beyond blessed to have Lauren as my photographer on both engagement session and wedding day. Not only did she make me feel special as the bride, but did she also ensure plans went smoothly. I love her charismatic features as a person and professionalism as a businesswoman. I remember how bad it rained on my engagement session and I instantly messaged her about what we should do. Lauren is amazing!
My boyfriend and I booked her for a shoot while we were on the island, and I was kinda nervous because my boyfriend isn’t comfortable in front of a camera. She directed us the entire time and made us super comfortable during the shoot, and because of that, the pictures came out amazing! We didn’t look stiff or awkward in the photos which was my number one fear!
I would definitely book her again! -

I've never seen someone care so genuinely about other people and learn their quirks and personality so quickly. Within the first five minutes of working with her we were all at ease and felt like we had been long lost friends. What was even more shocking is the fact that she picked up on things that were sentimental to us just from observing and listening. She captured the moments that were obviously essential but the moments that were special to us specifically---I was more than impressed that she got those as well. She's our photographer for life.
