Laura was the very first vendor we booked. She did such a beautiful job with my sister's wedding. I was so excited to reach out to her as soon as we were engaged. Laura shot our engagement session and our wedding at Barnsley Resort. She also connected us with her associate Corinne who shot our small, private wedding the weekend prior in the chapel at Christ the King. Corinne did a phenomenal job with our intimate ceremony and I'm so happy we booked her to capture the moment. At our engagement session, Laura made Jared (my husband) & I so comfortable. Neither of us are very fond of taking photos, but she made it easy and fun. I absolutely love how they turned out. At our larger wedding celebration, Laura was so detailed and concise. Even when outside circumstances caused delays in our timeline, she worked quickly and clearly to get us back up to speed. All of the portraits and details photos are stunning. And surprisingly, some of my favorites were the dance floor pictures! She captured the fun and special moments all throughout the night. We couldn't stop smiling as we look through the gallery and relived the night. Thank you so so much Laura! -

We worked with Laura's associate, Corryn Goldschmidt, for our engagement and wedding photos and were absolutely blown away by her creativity and passion for photography! The photos are stunning and literally works of art. It's hard to choose a favorite because there are just so many good ones! Throughout my wedding day, Corryn's calm spirit was much needed. Even though it rained during the time we were supposed to take photos, Corryn kept a positive attitude which also helped me stay positive! And the photos that she took in our wedding tent (the rain plan) turned out to be some of my favorite ones. During the reception, Corryn captured the warmth and laughter of each guest beautifully. The best part was that my husband and I were able to enjoy the whole evening without feeling like there was any paparazzi! Corryn was around but peacefully in the background and her presence was never a burden or a distraction from the celebrations. I would 1,000% work with her again and am so grateful for her support! Laura was great to work with too - very communicative and organized.
ALSO I should mention that we got all of our photos back in record time!! They are so quick that you barely have to wait to get the photos back! -

Where do I even begin... hiring Laura was the very first decision we made planning our wedding and she was worth every penny. We spoke several times leading up to the wedding about our vision and types of shots we wanted to get, and Laura delivered in every way.
Laura is super calm and organized. She is very detail-oriented and seamlessly managed wedding day photos for a 100 person family + wedding party.
Laura's turnaround time was outstanding; her and her assistant took 2,000+ photos, provided a preview in under 1 week and returned the full package within 3 weeks of our wedding day. Her post-wedding platform for viewing photos makes it very easy to share with friends and family and has has client-only features, which allows her client to manage what can be shared.
Lastly, Laura was extremely flexible with our schedule. We did an engagement photoshoot in Atlanta (where she lives/our wedding was), but Laura also flew to New York City (where we live) to do another shoot. She is worth EVERY penny!!! -

Laura is absolutely incredible and a must have for your engagement session and wedding day!! As a wedding planner myself, I know how important phenomenal photos of your wedding day are. Laura's calm demeanor is exactly what we wanted on our wedding day with our wedding party and family members. She captured every photo on our shot list, and some truly amazing candid photos that allowed us to see our wedding day from everyone else's point of view. From the initial phone call through to the final call prior to the wedding, Laura focuses on what is most important to the couple and their family to make sure to capture it all. Laura is a must have for preserving your wedding day in photos! -

The most important vendor hire to me was photography. I searched for weeks on every platform I could find. I came across Laura and immediately knew I wanted to hire her. Her pictures were very clear and seemed to capture real life moments. They told a story of the wedding day.
When I got my pictures back, I knew I was right. The pictures told the story of our wedding day so beautifully. The quality is evident in her portfolio. What isn't evident by looking at the pictures is her personality.
Laura and her team were a calming presence throughout the day. They were respectful but got all the shots they needed. We were under a pretty tight timeline, and I still got over 1,000 edited pictures capturing every memory. They did their best to get everything that I wanted.
We had an incident in which a church coordinator became very rude and abrasive which Laura. I was rattled, but Laura was calm. She responded with grace and continued her work.
I was very happy with how my pictures and the day (working closely with Laura) turned out! -

Laura is truly exceptional! We hired her to take our engagement and wedding photos and I honestly couldn't be happier with our decision (and I haven't even seen all my wedding photos yet!). Photography was the most important thing to my husband and I on our wedding day. We did tons of research and when Laura came across in our research after one conversation with her, we knew she was our person. She is so thoughtful and catches everything. She has a creative eye and is so professional and sweet. She is so very so talented! Her pictures tell this unbelievable story of mine and my husbands love for each other. I can't wait to see our book and the rest of our pictures! -

Shavonn Sent on 07/07/2013I can't say enough great things about Laura and was fearful to score 5 stars for fear the word get's out about how good she is and I won't be able to book her again! Top notch quality, professionalism and awesome personality.
All my guests even noticed and complimented us on her work before even seeing the pictures. They were only commenting on her professionalism and interacting with our guests at the time until they saw the pictures and we were overwelmed with more compliments.
My husband and I are both VERY particular, perfectionist and super detailed oriented and could not find one flaw. We were extremely satisfied with both our engagement and wedding pictures which ended up featured in major publications because they were that good.
We interviewed several photographers and found Laura's pricing equaled the quality of service she offered which spelled value to us. Don't do what we did. Save the time of interviewing and just go ahead and book Laura and start focusing on the next task on your bridal list. You won't be disappointed. We were so happy to have Laura capture the most important day of our lives and look forward to calling her for family photos, anniversary photos, polaroids in the backyard, x-rays, sonograms- you name it. We're calling her! -

Jill Sent on 12/12/2012After having a photographer crisis 6 months away from our October wedding (aka busy season for photographers), I was scrambling to find a new photographer & came across some of Laura's work. I fell in love instantly. Amazingly, she still had our date available...so we booked her immediately, and what a blessing that was. I am very picky about pictures, and if you've done some research you can quickly see that all photographers are not created equal...between pictures being grainy (not crisp), composition being awkward, lighting being off, images being washed out, and the photographer just not having a good eye, I felt like I was searching for a needle in a haystack for our perfect photographer...and Laura is just that. Her images are truly a work of art…they are crisp, well-composed, perfectly lit, beautifully presented, and they tell the story of the day in a way that we will treasure forever. Needless to say, we are so very pleased with our pictures. On top of her beautiful work, Laura is a wonderful person…she is responsive, professional, reassuring, helpful, accommodating, and the list goes on & on. We would highly recommend Laura / Artstar to everyone because she is definitely a cut above the rest!! Omar Sent on 02/28/2011The photographer who did our engagement photos ended up being unavailable for our wedding date. I was heartbroken as he did my sister's wedding as well as capturing our engagement (my husband's idea). My husband and I were scrambling to find another photographer we liked just as much admist leaving for a big trip to Germany and all of the holidays (we were engaged at Thanksgiving).
We encountered reviews of ArtStar through Wedding Wire and also saw that she had done a previous wedding at Montaluce Winery & Estates, which is the venue we had already booked. We fell in love with Laura's work on her website and my husband emailed her the night before we were leaving for Germany (I think it was the day after Christmas!). To our surprise Laura emailed us immediately and communicated with us over the entire holiday week and while we were traveling internationally with a huge time difference. She assured us of her services, quality and availability. She worked with us to find a package that both fit in our budget and included all of the things that we wanted (including her awesome photo booth).
Laura met us at Barnsley Gardens to conduct our engagement photo session and it was the most fun we have ever had! I knew as soon as I saw my engagement photos that my wedding photos would be stunning. Laura has a great eye for the light and finding the artistic value in a seemingly everyday moment.
The day of my wedding arrived and Laura was on time and professional the entire event. Despite the disorganization of my day caused by my wedding planner, Laura was easy going and flexible and captured all the photos I hoped she would. The photos were exactly as I knew they would be-AMAZING!
From the very first contact to right now where we are still designing albums, Laura has been a dream come true. She is super affordable with no compromise on quality. She is more like a friend than a vendor and if I could give her a 10 out 5 and a big hug I would! Besides actually getting married, Laura was the best part about my wedding day!

Kelly Sent on 07/28/2009Just when I thought I have been to talk to every photographer in the Metro area of Atlanta and almost settling... I came across Laura Stone at Artstar. I was so sick of looking at photography books that all look the same and nothing special, but my mom convinced me to talk to one more. I called Laura up and she was at my availability and CAME TO ME! That was a first! She made me and my husband feel beyond confortable! Her work was exceptional and like nothing else I saw! It actually told a story and was just what I was looking for! Her work is sheik and looks so professional at the same time!
When we took our Engagement pictures with her in Piedmont Park, She made us feel so comfortable, which I am very shy. The pictures came out awesome! The skyscrapers were in the background and everything!
Our wedding was a fairy tale, thanks to Laura. She was there from the time I got out of the shower to start getting ready, to the time we said "Goodnight." as husband and wife. She captured every moment! She was even in the limo with us, which I loved! We got to choose from sooo many pictures and they were all so beautiful. I can't express enough how happy we are with the memories we will always have to remember, all because of Artstar. Not to mention how cool our brushed metal, huge wedding album is. It's not like anyone's I know... the picture is the page!
Thank you for everything Laura and making our wedding day, a day we will never forget!

Jennifer Sent on 07/20/2009We searched and searched for the right photographer who would capture our day in a very emotional, beautiful, and photo-journalistic way. Laura was exactly what we were looking for. She is a natural and very skilled at being invisible while capturing the most special and emotional moments of your big day. She sought to understand exactly what we were looking for in our photography, and captured exactly that.
While she captures the emotion through candid shots during all parts of your day, she also values capturing the posed shots that many couples (and parents) still like to have. (Although in my opinion, those posed shots tended to be my least favorite because it was evident that my face was tired from "smiling for the camera". My favorite and most framable shots were excellently framed candids.)
I appreciated Laura's attention to detail and her consciousness to remind me to keep my shoulders back, or relax our smiles a bit. I'm sure it was these little reminders that prevented us from having a bunch of posed photos where we looked frozen and/or fake.
I absolutely recommend her! (Our engagement session - also by Laura - was equally incredible, and we had so much FUN while shooting it.) Before the wedding, my parents questioned the cost of a high quality photo-journalist photographer, but it was ABSOLUTELY WORTH EVERY PENNY! -

Kathryn Sent on 12/09/2009We flew Laura and her assistant to cover our wedding in PA. The investment in their travel was well worth it once we saw our slideshows. She totally "got" us: our personalities and senses of humor. So we both felt comfortable and at times, even carried away with being photographed. We also had her cover our rehearsal dinner which was just packed with great shots of close friends and family members. It actually really captures our excitement leading up to the wedding. It was a serious investment to go with Artstar but in the end, I got what I paid for. Also, Laura worked with us on the photo booth that I wanted for the reception, and we really appreciated her dedication to keeping us happy! I could not recommend Laura's work highly enough.
