Lucky for us Laura was recommended to us as a preferred vendor from the Desert Botanical Gardens which means they consider her to be amazing and thankfully SO DID/DO WE! Our initial conversation was so informative as to what she needed from us to help make our day run smooth. She was even helpful with guiding wedding timeframe(s) to accommodate unexpected March heat and the perfect sunset shot. Not once did she make me feel like I was bothering her with our millions of questions. Funny thing, the day after the wedding I thought to myself wow I didn’t see her very much I don’t think she got many pictures well HAHAHA joke was on me! The girl was everywhere! We got so many different shots and I would have never thought. SHE IS TRULY AMAZING!
One piece of advice… when she asks for a list of must haves, listen to her! Start searching immediately of ideas and remember what is a basic or important shot to you might not be to her or anyone else. So, give her the list even if you “think” it is a standard picture. She did amazing in reading my mind but that wasn’t fair that I assumed she knew what meant when I didn’t give detailed information. Laura did a great job photographing our wedding. Her photography style is timeless and feels like it jumps off the pages of the New York Times. No matter what the modern style will be in 20 years, we will be able to look at these photos and they will feel fresh and beautiful. Best wedding photos Ever
I wanted photos that not only caputred the joy of our sunset red rocks canyon wedding, but also the gorgeous night skies of the persied meteor shower during our stargazing party right after the ceremony. Laura not only met the challenge of night sky photography with the bride and groom, but captured moments that we will cherish all our lives with her absolutely SPECTACULAR photographs. Me with my new husband in our traditional Indian garb AND 3 shooting stars in one magical photo. All her photos are so stunning people don't believe they are real photos, BUT THEY ARE! Laura has a gift for capturing special, candid moments, but she's equally skilled at traditional portraits. Basically, the best of both worlds. I get anxious when I see cameras, but she was discreet and thoughtful in her approach and managed to capture so many great shots that truly encapsulated the joy of the day. Every single picture was amazing, we also bought an album and had to narrow down our top 40-50 favorites and my husband and I went back and forth forever on trying to pick. Amazing Photographer who took our breath away
From the moment I walked into Laura Segall's office, I knew no other photographer would be able to capture the authentic moments of one of the most important days of my life. Laura is a fantastic photographer who was very thoughtful and flexible. If you're doing anything outdoors, she really knows how to work with light and get you in positions that will yield some phenomenal photos. Kids are a breeze for her - she knows how to really get candid photos of them and get their attention for portraits. Amazing photographer based in arizona
I contacted Laura 1 month before my wedding because a dear friend of mine had just booked her & hired her for her wedding and her standards are incredibly high (as are mine!) so after a quick 10 minute call Laura & I were in business! She took the time to learn a bit about how my now husband & I met and & I was fortunate enough that she was available for the day of my wedding day for I am OBSESSED with all of my photographs, every single one of them turned out amazing. Candid, real, and amazing!
Laura was everything we could have wanted in someone to capture our day! Not only did she do an amazing shoot for us for our engagement, but the wedding photos are incredible! A Snapshot of emotions.
We wanted to capture human emotions from our photos without being staged or contrived. We rarely saw the photographers as they were cruising around capturing so many moments and the photos are absolutely remarkable (mind blowing) and truly captured every special moment (even the ones we didn't personally experience). As we look at all of the photos it literally brings us back to each magical moment in time. Each photo evokes so much emotion because Laura was able to capture the beautiful, romantic, fun, loving and supportive moments we experienced on our wedding day. The Best Wedding Photographer!!!!!
Laura was the wedding photographer of my dreams. She was everything that my spouse and I could have wanted and more. From the initial contact with her, the first meeting, coordination before and after the wedding she was a true professional and we both knew we would be in good hands. We actually booked Laura right before the corona virus pandemic hit, and we were all set to get married in November of 2020. We decided to postpone the venue wedding and have an intimate wedding ceremony in a family member's backyard. Laura was more than accommodating during this time; she had already thought about how to best help her pandemic couples and worked out with us seamlessly, photographing our intimate wedding and then the venue wedding in August of 2021.
At both weddings the photos were beyond spectacular. We loved each and every picture, every one was taken with care and processed flawlessly. To best put together words for her work I’ll leave what my father told me after we had received pictures from the venue wedding earlier this year: “Damn she is a great photographer!”
Also, Laura was so good at getting photos of literally everyone at our large venue wedding! She got pictures of each couple dancing, everyone having fun, and that was on top of us requesting other photos! She really went above and beyond. We will be using her in the future whenever we have professional photo needs!

Laura's skill in capturing such a momentous occasion for me was not the only positive factor in play the day I proposed to my now, fiance. The first time I met Laura was the first time my fiance met her!
Living on the east coast was certainly a challenge in terms of setting up the perfect time and location to pop the question. Thanks to Laura's vast experience and collaborative work ethic, she made what could have been an arduous task rather seamless.
Although we were thousands of miles apart while planning out the details of my proposal, communicating and hearing back from Laura was never an issue. She also managed to remain inconspicuous on the big day to throw off my fiance, who has had an inkling that I was about to propose. Recommending or using Laura again would be a no brainer to me.

This was an absolutely incredible experience. Laura made the entire process smooth and seamless. I was definitely nervous and Laura was a calming presence. Laura provided us with not only great photos of our wedding day, but a great experience. She was patient, kind and understanding of our needs. She did a fantastic job with all the traditional posed, group photos but where she excelled was with the unplanned, unexpected moments that another photographer might miss. My wife and I were married April, 2018. Our planning began over a year before and the search for the photographer was one of the most difficult parts of planning. There are SO many portfolios to consider. Our focus was to find someone who would be fast so we could get to the party, and would capture the majority of the night in a candid as opposed to “posed” way. When we found Laura and met with her, she explained her background as a photojournalist & that her philosophy is to tell us the story of our wedding night, as we would surely not see the majority of things happening around us. We were confident we had found the person who shared the same vision we did to capture the best day of our life! I cannot stress enough how Unbelievably stunning our pictures are. They are beautifully candid, the lighting and colors appear as if they are straight out of a magazine, literally everyone who has seen them replies with some variation on, “you hired one hell of a photographer,” & many have asked us for her info for their special days! In addition, practically everyone feels like they don’t even remember seeing her- she was a fly on the wall capturing beautiful, personal moments, & delivering the final product in a timely and extremely professional manner. The photographer really is an expense you do not want to skimp on, and Laura Segall is worth every single penny & THEN SOME!!! Now our photos are being published in a weddings of the year magazine!!!

Laura is amazing!!! She did our engagement photos and we LOVED them. Unfortunately, she did not do our wedding photos since we were in St. Louis. Our photographers there were terrible. My husband kept saying we should have spent the extra money to have Laura make the trip because we knew those photos would have been amazing. Over seven months later our other photographers still haven't gotten things fixed. THANK GOODNESS FOR LAURA!!! I told my husband to dress back up so that we could do fake wedding pictures, and Laura did not disappoint. We absolutely love the photos she took and will be framing them, rather than our "real" wedding photos. The lighting, the colors, Laura beautifully captured everything. We are lucky to have found such an amazing photographer, and I can assure you, we will not be taking chances with someone new again. THANK YOU LAURA!!!!!!!

We are so happy we went with Laura. She was easy and professional to work with and most of all, our pictures are gorgeous! You can tell she knows what she’s doing, she captured the feel of the day so well. Laura Segall is hands down the best photographer in Arizona! We were lucky enough to have her be our wedding photographer. She is so much more than just a photographer. She is truly gifted! Laura was fantastic to work with throughout the entire process. After I reached out to her for information, we met in person which gave us a chance to look through her work and ask questions. We had a really small wedding with our families and she put together a custom package that fit perfectly within our budget. The day of the wedding, we hardly knew she was there for most of it. She made everyone feel really comfortable, especially during the posed photographs. We recently received our pictures and they are gorgeous. They are a perfect mix of the more formal portraits and the candid moments. She does a great job capturing the emotions of the moment and frames them beautifully. The portraits are great, but it was really fun looking back on all the other parts of the day.
I really appreciated how easy she was to communicate with during the planning process. After the wedding she sent a sneak preview, then a couple of weeks after that she sent a link with some of her favorite photos from the day. We received our full set of pictures within just a few weeks. They came nicely organized by events (getting ready, first look, portraits, ceremony, etc..).
Overall, Laura is really sweet and professional. Her prices were extremely reasonable. I'd highly recommend Laura to anyone looking for a photographer.

Laura not only takes amazing photos that you will treasure, but is great about making you feel comfortable. When doing our engagement photo shoot, she helped us to feel more comfortable in front of the camera and explained how to better pose to not look awkward. I would highly recommend her and also doing an engagement photo shoot if looking to book her for your wedding. We love the photos and it was so nice to feel comfortable and at ease with her on the wedding day.

I love Laura. I have had the pleasure of working with her for many years in a professional capacity and when it came time to capture my own special moment, I thought of no one else. Laura has an amazing eye for color, light and angles. And if you are like me (an awkward mess in front of the camera)... she helps direct you through different poses. Laura was an absolute DREAM! Her sweet demeanor allows you to be completely comfortable in front of the camera, and she gets the wedding shots that really matter. Laura did an amazing job! What we loved the most and attracted us in the first place was her ability to capture those "in between" moments. Those are the moments you want to remember the most. Don't get me wrong - posed shots are great, but the laughing and making faces in between and seeing your family and friends on the dance floor is what you will cherish having a photo of. My wedding photos are STUNNING, absolutely stunning. The posed portrait photos are exquisite - they're swathed in gorgeous natural light and my husband and I look perfectly framed against the desert landscape. I am beyond ecstatic to have these gorgeous portraits. Laura is very, very talented and has a great eye for setting up shots AND she made my husband and I feel comfortable in front of a camera.
I love our posed portraits, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the candid photos. Laura has an uncanny ability to capture special moments with you not even knowing she was there snapping away. In every photo, she's captured the true spirit and raw emotion of a moment. Her photojournalistic style work is phenomenal. Everytime I look at a photo, it snaps me right back into the moment. I'm so grateful for these keepsakes.
Laura's work speaks for itself, so I'd like to touch a bit on how amazing she is as a person. In the hustle and bustle of getting ready on the big day, one of my bridesmaid's thought she might be in the way of Laura taking a still life photo of my bridal jewelry. My bridesmaid said something to the effect, "Oh sorry, I'm in the way aren't I?" Laura's response didn't miss a beat, "No, how about this: You're never in the way" and she said those words with such kindness and sincerity.

Hiring Laura was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. Thanks to her background in photojournalism, Laura has a wonderful ability to capture authentic moments, emotions and expressions. She also does a beautiful job arranging portraits and helping you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Laura would never force you into an unnatural pose; she captures people as they are. Every bride wants to feel beautiful on her wedding day and have photographs to reminisce with her family and friends. For this reason, selecting the right photographer was priority #1 for me personally. I looked extensively online and it did not take long to appreciate the depth of Laura Segall’s work. This is the first time I can say that someone’s work truly speaks for itself! The way she leverages special lighting, emotions, and the angles are really stunning. She has an artist’s eye and a journalist’s attention to detail, putting it all together to tell a love story. Laura was even flexible with us when we had to adjust our venue and date. We enjoyed meeting with her before the wedding, so she could learn about our history and discuss our vision. Laura was amazing!! We won our engagement shoot with her from finding her business at the phoenix bridal expo. She was great with communication and planning a day and time to meet. She was also super helpful with giving us ideas on where to have our shoot, the best places for the best lighting / photos, and helped us get creative with poses but still look natural. We ended up loving all of the photos but used one in particular for our save the dates! We plan on getting some of the others framed for our home. I would highly recommend using her for your wedding needs!

I am in awe of Laura’s work. I have been looking for the perfect word to describe her work and the word that came to mind is timeless. You look at her work and it is timeless. People will look back on their photos years from when they first had their photos taken and it will take them to that moment; that feeling. The story she tells and the emotions she captures takes my breath away. I cannot believe the moments she captured and the emotions that translate to print. This may sound over the top, but in reality I would of never imagined I would be able to afford or be in such amazing photographs by such a talented artist; because that is exactly what her work is – art. Seeing Laura’s blog of our wedding I saw she captured my husband’s and my personalities – which is hard when you are dressing up to kind of be something you aren’t used to and will probably never do again. The photos she captured were beyond any hope of what I had wanted. I could not have asked for anything more honest and serene. Her work isn’t staged. She is very personable, professional, patient and talented. We have friends who are envious of our few photos on her blog as they did not have a good photographer or experience at their weddings. I cannot wait to see what other moments she has captured when we receive all of our wedding photos, and I am sure I will be in awe all over again. Yes, you get the portraits, the pictures to give to the family, and the standards that are required and expected of a wedding. However, if you want the story of your wedding told through photos this is the photographer you want at your event. I had people at our wedding comment on how much she hustled and how attentive she was. I have not been so direct in my other reviews but I will say this: don’t compromise - book her. Her work speaks for itself. You will not be disappointed but feel lucky to have had her capture your day.

We knew we was hiring great photographers but they exceeded any expectations we had!!! They made our wedding day photography effortless and captured things that we couldn't have imagined. Love both Laura and David they were excellent to work with and very prompt at any correspondence. We highly recommend them for any photography need.

Laura is the best! Her talent speaks for itself and even more importantly she really listens to what you want and are expecting. She had my emailed list of portraits that I wanted in her hand so she wouldn't miss any! She has a very calm, quiet demeanor which helps you feel more relaxed and even forget that she's there taking pictures sometimes. Everyone said she was like my personal paparazzi all night long and everyone has raved about how great the pictures turned out! She was one of my best and easiest wedding decisions I highly recommend her.

The hardest part about working with Laura was narrowing down the pictures for our album. She took over 1,000 (no exaggeration) amazing pictures I would have been more than happy with in an album. She is the best photographer I've ever worked with.

We are very happy with Laura Segall. The photos turned out great; she was able to capture some great moments without getting in the way of our guests. The photos of the ceremony and the reception dinner/dancing were fantastic. Our photos are full of meaningful facial expressions of our family and friends, and she got some really interesting and expressive photos of us. We even have great dancing photos. There are photos of great moments when we didn't even know she was taking photos. Laura Segall was great to have at our wedding and we are thrilled with the results.

Laura was a pleasure to work with. She is a professional photojournalist and has received a high quality education in photojournalism, which is evident in her ability to make good decisions quickly when situations beyond one's control arise (the tire on my car blowing out on way to our engagement shoot; rain on our wedding day) and even more so in the photos she takes. Laura excels in "telling a story" through her photography. As I look through our photos and try to select just a handful for our album, I am amazed at the shots she manages to get that capture the emotions and feelings of the day. All of the photos are exquisite. She does not do the posed, cheesy traditional wedding photo shots. Hire her for her ability to bring to light what everyone is feeling on such a wonderful day and see those moments you didn't even realize (or forgot) were happening. You will treasure them!
Laura responded promptly to emails, gave good advice, was flexible, and is reasonably priced. Plus, she is a great person!

Laura did a wonderful job documenting our wedding. Her photos are like works of art - very unique, beautiful, and emotional. Not too many posed shots. She captured the most meaningful moments of the day and really made the magic of our wedding come to life through film. I loved her style. She took some time to get to know my husband and I before the wedding and was very professional throughout. She was very unobtrusive during the ceremony (as requested). In addition, our album is truly gorgeous. No complaints whatsoever. I would hands-down choose Laura again as our photographer.

We couldn’t have been happier with having Laura photograph our wedding, the pictures came out beautifully. She was our biggest splurge for our wedding and was well worth it! During our ceremony she captured some wonderful shots and I honestly can’t even remember seeing where she had been standing or moving to. She was very polite and helpful if we were unsure of something. During our reception I was surprised to see how many pictures had been taken and that she captured us with several of our guests going unnoticed most of the time. It was fantastic. We couldn’t stop smiling going through the photographs she took. She really captured the mood wonderfully and made us feel like we were back on our wedding day. I would recommend Laura in a heartbeat!

Laura was always helpful when I had questions and professional in her responses and timing. We have so many amazing pictures and she really captures the moment and people's personalities though her photo journalism. Some of the best pictures are the candid pictures we have with our parents that we will cherish forever. There is not a single event or picture I wish I had that she did not capture. It is almost impossible to chose just a few of our pictures for an album because we love all of them!

We interviewed multiple photographers and decided to go with Laura based not just on the quality of her pictures, but her personality, approach and prices as well and couldn't be happier. From a business side she was very professional (without being “stuffy”) and communicated everything with us so we were never wondering what was going on or had to “track her down” to get answers. She was great to work with while taking the pictures as well. I personally am not a fan of getting my picture taken and she made everything painless. Then during the ceremony and reception she and her partner became picture ninjas! Looking back I don’t remember them being there but the great pictures prove that they were. Everyone was able to enjoy themselves without feeling hounded by the paparazzi allowing for great, natural shots of people having a great time. I fully recommend Laura for any occasion, not just weddings.

Laura was great to work with. She was incredibly calm and steady, and I needed that with a chaotic bridal party and guests. The photos she took are amazing, and capture the day perfectly. She got all the details, and got some really fun and amazing shots of the whole wedding. The pictures are something that I will cherish forever.
She was really good at reading us and telling when we were done or needed a break or just needed a minute. She was so good at being non-intrusive at the reception and just taking the pictures. I don't remember seeing her, but clearly through the pictures she was there.
I loved her style from the moment I saw her other pictures, and it came through perfect on mine. The engagement photos we took also turned out amazing, and we had a great time shooting them with her. Would definitely recommend Laura - she did a great job and was a pleasure to work with.

Our wedding album is the envy of our friends and we absolutely LOVE the photos we chose for it - even though it was so hard for us to choose which photos to put in it, there were SO many wonderful photos of our amazing day. Laura Segall did an amazing job at our wedding at Foothills Golf Club in Ahwatukee. After seeing some of her work we knew our photos would turn out well, but we were amazed at how great they all looked when we were able to view them after the wedding. She was able to capture so many special moments and candid shots throughout the night. With so many great photos it's making it very tough to choose only a few select favorites for our wedding album. Laura is very professional and was always easy to get in contact with for any questions or concerns. I would 100% recommend her to anyone and everyone looking for a spectacular photographer for their wedding.

Laura was PERFECT and awesome, and we have only seen a preview of her work. The one of the best things about her, other than her photography, is that we hardly noticed her and her assistant during the wedding and reception. Laura was fantastic! Very professional and nice to work with. I liked her calm attitude and attention to detail. She was sure to get every single shot that we wanted, which I very much appreciated. She followed the list of photos that we wanted exactly, and we ended up with a lot of great ones. She tended to just let us be our natural selves, which was great. I would maybe have liked if she had "posed" us a bit more in the formal photos, but she took so many that we ended up with a lot of wonderful formal photos. Overall we had a fantastic experience with her and would recommend her to photograph any important event.

I was reading the Washington post the week after we booked Laura and on the front cover of the style section a gorgeous image caught my attention. I checked the photography credits. We were stunned to learn it was Laura's photograph. That's when we knew we picked the right photographer. We had fun with Laura during our engagement session and again at the rehearsal dinner. Laura effortlessly and unobtrusively captured every moment for 10 hours of our special day. She was awesome. We love every image and have no idea how to narrow the amazing images into a book. We will be working with Laura for years to come... I have a feeling well be taking family pictures with Laura every time we are in Arizona. She's the best at what she does and worth every cent.

Amazing!! The photos so far are just perfect really capturing life. Not just portraits. She was all over the place the whole day without ever being in the way. She was perfect she even gave the groom and I a ride to the reception. We had not planned out our day of transportation. She also kept me on track. When you are used to running your own ship it is hard to feel ok with out a watch. I was sure we were behind schedule and was about to start cutting photos I asked for and my hubby started added photos. Laura was the first calming word that day. She stopped me and was like addy your ahead of schedule so stop worrying about it. So then I got to add photos!!

Laura's pictures are absolutely amazing! All you need to do is check out her website and you will see how talented she is. I am writing this review based on the preview shots she posted on her blog and Facebook as I anxiously await the rest to be put online for my guests to view. Those preview shots are so great, I had to write the review early! I almost feel like this review is pointless though, because I'm sure you will be convinced to book her by just looking at her blog!!

When my original photographer called me a few months before my wedding to let me know she could no longer work with us (she would be giving birth to her 3rd child the month of our wedding) – she highly recommended I give Laura a call. From my first frantic phone call, I knew she’d be a fabulous addition to our wedding team. Her demeanor is so calming, she made everything from our first meeting to the last photograph on our day a breeze. She moved her schedule to meet with us the day I called and carried over our package from our original photographer. Laura happily accepted my mile long shot list the weeks prior to the wedding – she’s a pro, used to dealing with even the most detail oriented Brides. When Laura arrived on our wedding day, it was pouring rain. The moment she arrived it was like working alongside an old friend. She was so genuinely excited to be there and wasn’t the least bit phased by the weather. She excluded comfort as she guided us through our shots and was able to turn even the gloomiest of days into photos that are glorious to behold. Throughout the evening, Laura seemed to be everywhere at once. She didn’t miss a beat and every moment was captured, in captivating detail. Laura has a gift for capturing emotions, not just images. When I looked through my photos it was like being transported back to the day. I heard the words of my family and friends and felt the laughter and love all over again. My photography was the most important thing to me when I began planning my wedding and I couldn’t be happier with Laura’s brilliant work! Laura Segall was a wonderful photographer and we're thrilled with our wedding pictures. She was easy to work with throughout the process, and very reasonably priced - a very high quality photographer for our money. We wanted a wedding photographer with photojournalist chops and she fit the bill exactly. She responded to our needs and preferences, and was completely non-intrusive/nearly invisible as she expertly captured all the moments that mattered during our wedding and ceremony. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

Laura was fabulous to work with from start to finish. In choosing we compared her to many vendors and had detailed conversations with three. She had the best price. our favorite work and was was very nice. To make sure we weren't overly biased by price, we showed all three portfolios to a friend who is a photography instructor without mentioning price, and he chose her work as the best as well.
From prepping, to the wedding, to dealing with her afterwards, Laura was a pleasure to work with. She is professional and friendly. She listened to all of our input, and offered her professional advice appropriately and respectfully.
Now, having reviewed all of the images from the wedding, we couldn't be happier. She captured the wedding and the moments exactly as we experienced them. She caught a wide diversity of moments and people, and the photography is rock solid.
We would recommend her to anyone who needs photography for a wedding or any other important event.

We had met with a few photographers before we met Laura and were feeling a little intimidated and overwhelmed by how much they seemed into sales and how expensive the cost was. When I met Laura I knew she was perfect. She was easy going, passionate about her work, and willing to work with us when we were changing around dates. I always felt like she was into her work for the love of it, not the money. On the actual day I was 1.5 hours late and she was still able to get all of the shots I wanted and beautiful sunset shots. Her prices were really amazing compared to other photographers out there as well. I definitely plan on having her as our photographer in the future for family photos!

I am happy to recommend Laura Segall to anyone who wants an awesome experience with a uniquely talented wedding photographer. From the time we booked her through our engagement session and then through our wedding day, Laura was great to work with. Our engagement photos were amazing! After seeing how the turned out, in the days that followed our wedding my husband and I anxiously awaited our photos. We took our time to go through all 1,229 of them and are so pleased. Laura has a knack for telling the story behind the wedding day and her pictures are awesome. She captured some really breathtaking moments beautifully.
What's more, Laura is such a kind person. Her calm, soft-spoken, pleasant demeanor even kept me calm during the day. We were running a little behind schedule and while my bridesmaids were helping me into my dress I looked and Laura who smiled and said "This is my favorite part." Those simple words helped me to keep things in perspective. Thank you, Laura!
