We are so happy we chose Laura as our photographer. We are beyond amazed at how beautiful our wedding portraits turned out and we were pleased with how timely we got them back! Laura was so organized and helpful in planning our timeline ahead of time in order to ensure we got all the important photos we needed. The day ran so smoothly and was stress free. She captured so many candid and special moments during the reception and I never even realized she was right there taking the photos! I can look at all of them again and again!

Best Decision Ever!

I cannot say enough about how amazing Laura is! We had the best experience working with her and she made our wedding day the best day ever! She has the eye to get the best shots for your big day and our photos we beautiful. My wedding guests are even asking for her number so that they can book her for their family portraits and other upcoming events because they liked the photos so much. I will definitely be booking Laura for maternity shoots and whatever else because she was so much fun to work with. Thank you so much for such a great experience!!!

Great to work with!

Laura was really easily accessible throughout the whole process- any time we had questions or concerns she answered to us in a very timely manner. She and John both did a great job on the day of our wedding and really got great shots. We really enjoyed working with them both!

Can We Give More Than Five Stars?!

Laura Meyer has been a close industry friend and colleagues of mine for many years and on October 6th, 2018, I had the pleasure of having her as my photographer for my own wedding! Having worked with Laura in the past I knew she was the best fit for us on our wedding day! Her everyday energetic and calm demeanor combined with the ability to assert aggressiveness when managing a extremely large bridal party etc, makes her a fantastic and well rounded wedding photographer. Laura completed a master timeline for Glenn and I which detailed exactly what our photo plan was and what we planned to shoot in each area. This combined with our Planner's help, allowed us to hit many photo locations and truly enjoy every moment without thinking about time or feeling rushed. I have always been so blown away by Laura's talent as a colleague and now can say that I am truly stunned by the product as a client. Expectations exceeded.

One of the first things I did when I met Laura was tell her how gorgeous my daughter's engagement(save the date photos) were. Well, she did it again. The wedding day photos were just as stunning. Your attention to details, lighting and the surroundings made every photo a true pleasure to see. In addition, You and Mark were such a pleasure to deal with all day long. Their wedding day was beautiful and fun and you captured every bit of it.

You've Found Your Photographer!

AMAZING! Laura is simply the best, better than all the rest! She is professional, fun, talented, organized, and gets the job done with the most STUNNING photos, that captures ever moment perfectly! Laura has a great eye for photography! She did an amazing job knowing exactly where to be for every picture. She was also very patient and accommodating with our difficult schedule to meet up and plan with her. Like other families, ours can be hard to wrangle and Laura is not afraid to assert herself to make sure everyone is where they need to be for the best photo. She also was great at providing feedback to assist us in taking the best shots possible, for our engagement and wedding photos. Something that stood out to us the most about Laura, was that she was very personable, she really got to know what makes us uniquely... us, and was truly invested in our big day. She also has good taste in second shooters, (John was awesome too) so you know that your are in good hands and will get the best shots form every angle! Laura is so skilled and familiar with all kinds of weddings, and so organized, that she was able to provide some really helpful advice for us on how to plan out our wedding day. She even knows how long each photo will take, almost to the second! Laura is clam, cool, and collected and makes every pitcher count! Congrats, you have found your photographer! I used Laura as my photographer and it was one of the best decisions I made! I decided to use Laura after seeing photos she did a friend, and ours came out just as beautiful. From the start, she was extremely communicative. She was on-time for everything and really knows her stuff. She captured every photo I wanted and then some. I was also so appreciative of how quickly she was able to get me a "preview" of our wedding-day pictures. It really meant the world to me that I got to share pictures of our day before I even left on my honeymoon! One of the most important parts of my wedding day was being sure that I had someone great to capture it. Finding a great photographer was one of the most important part of my booking process.
From the moment I reached out to Laura, she was wonderful to work with. She was not only knowledgeable with helpful tips, as she has been working in this industry for several years, but she also was very interested in getting to know me and my husband. She knew the area I was getting married in, and was excited to share ideas of where to take photos with our bridal party.
Through getting to know us, she was able to help us plan our engagement photos. Laura is wonderful to work with through email and phone calls. Her promptness and attentiveness is something that I missed while working with many other vendors in the industry. After our engagement photos session, I could not stop raving to my friends about Laura and her amazing photos. Her work was magical. I could not wait for the wedding to see how wonderful the day turned out.
On our wedding day, Laura and her partner were amazing and captured the feeling of the whole day. Laura shared her ideas from her experience but never pressured me to do anything and each decision was up to us. Laura and her assistant made all of our bridal party feel at ease and she is unobtrusive in taking the photos so that she does not take away from each special moment. She gives very clear directions and has a great eye for lighting and pictures.
After the wedding, Laura was prompt with getting us the “sneak peek” which was so fun to share with friends. She was also so quick to getting us our online gallery and it is very easy to work with. Laura is worth every penny for the pictures that will last a lifetime. We will truly treasure every photo she has taken.

All I need to say is, you need Laura in your life. We used her for our engagement photos and wedding! She puts you at ease and gives direction that makes even the most socially/photographically challenged couple look amazing on film! She's Johnny on the spot and can practically read your mind through every second of your wedding day. Although Pinterest is all the rage and getting those staged photos are on your agenda, leave it to Laura to make up her own Pinterest-worthy photos. I totally and completely trust her artistic judgement and she's so good at communicating through the whole process from contract to editing and creating the album. Book her or be sorry!

Booking the photographer was one of the hardest vendors to book. After talking with Laura via email(she is VERY responsive) and meeting her in person, I could tell instantly that photography is her passion and something she does extremely well! Her turn around time and organization were wonderful and we are in LOVE with all of our photos from the wedding. Just today I was looking again at the pictures, and I keep finding more and more prints that I love! My wife and I were referred to Laura Meyer Photography by a co-worker of my wife. We wanted our wedding photos to really tell a story about our big day, so we were interested in finding a photographer who had a more photo-journalistic style. When we stepped into Laura's studio, we knew right away from her display of works that we found our photographer. Laura has a real knack for being at the right place at the right time. She captured every emotion we experienced that day with drama and flair. My wife and I are usually reserved and a little shy. Wow, my husband and I are absolutely thrilled with all of the amazing photos from our day. Finding a great photographer with experience can be tough, but Laura was definitely the best choice for us. We did our engagement pictures downtown Chicago last holiday season, and they were stunning. We had so many great shots it was difficult to choose a photo for our save the date! Laura really listened to what we wanted out of our photos and gave us exactly the feel that we wanted, and she was really fun and upbeat to work with. Throughout the planning process, Laura responded quickly to emails and addressed all of my concerns within a day or two. She made a timeline to ensure that we got all of the photos and family shots that we wanted. When it came to the day of the wedding, Laura arrived early and was ready to go (even before I was!). She was prompt and very organized with our larger bridal party (6 bridesmaids and 6 groomsmen). Taking the photos was actually fun with all the ideas she had for us! After our wedding day, we got our 'highlight' photos back really quickly-around 10-14 days. We were speechless at how beautiful they were. Shortly after, we received our full gallery and all the photos are amazing. I've received SO many compliments. I am so happy with how they all turned out, and Laura really captured our wedding day. We had a great mixture of posed photos and candid shots. Her website is very easy to navigate to view the photos. The only downside is that we have too many AMAZING pictures, we can't decide which ones to get printed! Huge thanks to Laura for capturing my wedding day so I can relive it for years to come!

Finding an amazing photographer to capture our wedding day was one of the most important items on our to do list and we are so happy that we found Laura!
From the very first email interaction with Laura, we knew we found a photographer who is passionate about her work and who would be engaged with us every step of the way. During our first meeting with Laura in her lovely studio, it was apparent right away that her style meshed perfectly with our vision for wedding photos.
Lara also took our engagement pictures downtown Chicago. We lucked out and had perfect fall weather for the shoot and Laura knew the best spots in the city that fit with our style. The engagement shoot helped us get comfortable with taking pictures and Laura captured so many amazing shots, it was hard to pick a favorite!
Prior to our big day, my husband and I went back and forth between deciding whether or not to do a first look, (if you're in this same boat, do the first look! So worth it) and throughout this decision making process Laura was there to answer all of our questions and gave the best advice. The greatest thing about this was that she was so flexible and we never felt pressured to make the decision to add more time in order to do the first look.
During the time between booking and the wedding day, Laura was extremely quick with responding to emails which definitely eliminated a lot of stress.
Finally our day came and Laura and her partner perfectly captured everything from getting ready to our guests on the dance floor. She suggested Cantigny park for our wedding party photos and we couldn't be happier! Laura and her partner knew the best spots at the park for gorgeous pictures with the group and with just my husband and I. We had a large wedding party, 16 people, which could have caused chaos but thanks to Laura, everything went smoothly and efficiently.
We would highly recommend Laura. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer to capture the best day ever!

I always knew that I wanted Laura Meyer Photography for our special day. Due to unforeseen circumstances, our wedding date was pushed forward significantly. Laura was able to work with us and fit the new date into her schedule. Laura is simply amazing at what she does! From the very first phone call, her excitement and passion for capturing photos shined through and after viewing her work, I knew I had to book her! We did an engagement shoot with her and she is so great at giving direction and knowing what will look good. Laura helped me put together a full timeline of events for the day of our wedding, which helped me out so much. On the day of our wedding, Laura and her assistant Christina were organized and helped keep everything on track! They were constantly floating around the room making sure to capture everything for us and guests even commented on how awesome they were at covering everything that was going on. We would recommend Laura Meyer Photography in a heart beat! During the wedding planning process, Laura was extremely accessible, responsive, and friendly. It truly felt like Laura was excited to be part of our specific wedding, which made the process fun! She even met us at our venue beforehand to scope out the grounds and talk through what we were envisioning (and letting her get her creative juices flowing). My husband and I were eager to see our photos after the wedding concluded, and we got everything back (edits and all!) in under 4 weeks - this is pretty much unheard of in the wedding photography industry. Laura and her assistant Agnes were amazing! I absolutely loved working with them. Laura was extremely responsive (sometimes I had barely hit send on an email and already had a response!) and so sweet. She was incredibly efficient - we ended up finishing up all of the photos we wanted at the church 30 minutes early and we even asked her to do a few extra than we had originally planned. We had terrible luck with the weather on our big day (it was raining and about 40 degrees outside) but Laura and Agnes bundled up and braved the conditions to do photos outside with our bridal party after the ceremony. In fact, we were iffy about still doing them and Laura encouraged us to do them anyway. She even climbed into some muddy bushes to get us some even better photos! We cannot wait to see how the photos turned out!

We cannot say enough positive things about Laura and Mike. The entire process from start to finish was so detailed and personalized; it was amazing. Before the ceremony, we went over every shot that we wanted and we looked over designs for our wedding album cover. Laura is so full of life and personality; she is such fun to work with! She was with the bridesmaids and I as we got ready in the bridal cottage at Cantigny, while Mike photographed the groomsmen and my husband before we all met up for the first look. During the wedding, they captured so many amazing moments, it was nearly impossible to pick our favorites. Not only were Laura and Mike great photographers, but Laura helped with everything from carrying extra lipstick for me to fixing the bustle on my dress! After the ceremony, we got the photos after not too long of a wait, and we were thrilled! If you book Laura and Mike you will NOT regret it! Laura captured us during our E-session, and she is such a joy to work with. From the (months) prior up until the day of, she answered all of my questions, worked professionally, and she is INCREDIBLY responsive to e-mail. She has a knack for knowing what types of pictures you want - there are many things I didn't say I wanted, and she managed to read my mind and photograph them all!

We are looking forward to our wedding day in June, and all the beautiful moments she'll capture!

Laura and Mike are the BEST. We just got our pictures back from our summer wedding and could not be more obsessed. There are WAYY too many amazing pictures to choose from. They did such a fantastic job capturing every detail and emotion of the day. Laura and Mike were AMAZING. They were the photographers for our wedding on 10/18/2014. We could not have been happier that we hired them! From our very first meeting, Laura was on top of everything. She was extremely responsive and made sure she knew who all the "key players" of the day were. The day of, Laura made it so easy to get everything done and I didn't have to worry about them not getting the shots we wanted. She really made the days stress-free! After the wedding, we got our photos quickly (even though they were very busy around the time of our wedding). The photos were beautiful and we got so many compliments!! People have already asked for her contact information. We still have to make our photo album (which is slacking on our part), but I am confident we will be just as happy with that as we had been with every other aspect. Laura and Mike were worth every penny! If you are thinking about booking them, do it now! You will not regret it!

Laura and Mike are an absolute dream to work with! The did our engagement photos and our wedding photos and we could not be happier with our pictures! They are both extremely professional, and Laura was always prompt to return emails. Laura met with us in person twice, and was always checking in to ensure she knew exactly what we were wanting/looking for. You can tell these two love what they do, and their passion shows in their work! I felt like Laura had so many great ideas and was very open to trying all the fun photo ideas I could think of. Our photos came out gorgeous and we got the perfect mix of fun and formal shots. Your photographer(s) is someone who is essentially with you all day and these two were so fun and friendly! Laura and Mike were an amazing duo to have as our photographers on our wedding day. The day went off without a hitch and I believe that a large part is because these two knew exactly what we wanted for our wedding photos! Laura even took matters into her own hands and helped delegate important tasks to my bridemaids and maid of honor so that I never had to worry about the help i needed. If we could rate these two higher than a 5/5 we absolutely would and I recommend to use these two for your event, they were worth every penny, and then some!! The turn around time was quicker than I could ever imagine and I know that Laura put her dedication into all of our pictures. If you use these two you will not be disappointed, I know we both can't wait until, someday, when our family grows because we will use Laura for our family photos as well. My husband and I searched for a while for a photographer and read so many reviews and met with 3 different photographers. I knew Laura was the one right when we met her because her photos were so beautiful and she was so sweet and easy to get along with.

Laura was super organized and prepared and keeps in contact throughout the entire planning process.

Laura and Mike were so wonderful to work with on our wedding. They made sure everyone was positioned correctly and Laura even helped fix my dress multiple times!

My husband and I searched high and low for a photographer. We read through dozens of reviews, looked at many photos, and even met with about 4 photographers. None of them compared to Laura. From the second I looked at her site, I knew that she was the one. I kept my fingers crossed, hoping that our date would be available.

We met with her and she was just as kind in person as she was through email. She worked within our budget and customized a photography package that worked for us. Her work really speaks for itself and is a GIANT step above the wedding photography that I have seen.

Laura is SO prepared and keeps in contact throughout the entire planning process. Before the wedding, she has you fill out documents about all the photo combinations that you want so that on the day of the wedding, you don't forget to get that picture that you wanted.

On the day of, she and Mike were a dream come true. They were professional and warm and felt like a part of the family. While taking pictures they were both friendly and decisive with poses/positioning. I have stood up in many weddings and have never dealt with photographers like them before. At the reception, you would not even know that they were there.

When we got the photos back, we were astounded. The color, composition, and beauty of the pictures are unmatched. My family and friends did not have enough wonderful things to say. A friend said to me that it was the best wedding photography she has ever seen and I completely agree.

If you are considering using a big company over Laura, just know that you may get any photographer that they have on staff...and that person may not be the same person who took the wonderful photos that they showed you originally.

I plan on using Laura for any other photography needs in the future and will recommend her to others who I know.

Laura and Mike were my photographers for both my engagement session and my wedding day. It was amazing having such professional people on my wedding team. I felt as if I didn't have to elaborate/ask for anything because they were so knowledgeable. They meet with you to suggest locations for shots, and are very flexible. I was satisfied with the results of both my engagement photos and wedding photos. The best way I can sum up this vendor is by saying they were worth every penny. Laura is the BEST! She was one of my favorite vendors during the whole wedding planning process. She was so prompt with her responses, and even when I had no idea what I was doing, she would help talk me through timelines, feasibilities of locations, etc!

She and her now fiance (!) Mike make a great team. They have a great attitude, even when it feels like it's 100 degrees out, and we're walking all over the city (even when a bird pooped on Mike during our engagement shoot!). They made us so comfortable in front of the camera, which is saying a lot for my husband, who hates having his picture taken.

On the wedding day, when everyone was running around like crazy, Laura helped me wrap my "something borrowed" handkerchief and locket around my bouquet. She kept calm, even though I was freaking out that we were behind on time.

And she got our photos up in record time!! Far far sooner than I had expected, and they look FABULOUS!

She was worth EVERY. SINGLE. PENNY. If I were planning to stay in Illinois, I'd hire her for my maternity photos, baby photos, family photos....I would hire her every year if I could. No joke. Hire this woman, she will make your wedding THAT much better.

Laura was amazing - honestly everything we were looking for in our wedding photographer. We had a non-traditional, small wedding, on a Friday afternoon. Laura was able to create a package for us that was exactly what we were looking for -- an hour of photos of me and hubs, some shots of the ceremony, and a handful of shots with our guests. We were able to also get a dvd with the images. All of this and it was well within our budget!

The photos turned out amazing and the experience of shooting them was so much fun. The night before, it was calling for rain and I called Laura all freaked out about it. She calmed me down and sure enough, everything was beautiful the next day. Laura and Mike had arrived about an hour before we did to scope out shots for us, which was so helpful because we just went down the line to all of these great alleys and fun places -- but she was also able to get some more candid photos of hubs and I together while we walked from place to place. At one point, Laura was even down on the ground to get the good shot! She's the best.

Almost a year later and I wouldn't have changed anything. In fact, I think I need to go email Laura about doing a fun 1st anniversary shoot...

I knew, as soon as I got engaged, that I wanted Laura Meyer Photography to be a part of my wedding day. Laura (and recently, her assistant Mike) has shot many of my friends' weddings, and the pictures have consistently been breathtakingly beautiful. So when I booked Laura and Mike to shoot my January wedding, I knew that the photos would be unbelievable.

What I didn't know at the beginning that I know now is that Laura's unrivaled professionalism and experience makes every minute working with her a pleasant experience. There is absolutely no substitute for Laura's thoroughness, organization, and creativity--she was absolutely one of the best decisions I made during the entire planning process.

To me, however, the most descriptive thing I can say about Laura is that even though I know she is incredibly busy (and rightfully so), she ALWAYS made me feel like her only client. I had a lot of amazing vendors, but Laura Meyer Photography is the only one that I can honestly say that about.

All I can say about Laura’s work is AMAZING. Trying to find which pictures to actually print is hard as all the pictures that Laura and Mike took are beautiful. I knew right away from seeing Laura’s work online that I wanted her to photograph our wedding, and then meeting her in person sealed it. She has a great personality and is so easy to work with from the first meeting through our wedding day; even meeting with us the week before to scout out good picture/first look locations.

Her style is totally relaxed (no cheesy wedding poses), rather taking natural and creative pictures that completely captured the essence of our wedding. Dan and I have gotten so many compliments on our pictures and could not be happier. I would recommend Laura to anyone getting married and Laura will absolutely be our first call next time we are in need of a photographer!

Laura was beyond our expectations. We had a really unique and kind of chaotic wedding, but Laura made sure that she was prepared for everything and understood fully the day's events. My husband and I were also worried about how to pose and be natural for the day, but for each snap, she directed us with simple instructions, which all flowed so nicely and felt incredibly natural. We had SO much fun. All of the wedding party agreed that the photos were one of the most fun parts of the day. The quality of the photos was superb, as well, as well as all of the editing. We hired Laura for our June 2012 wedding and could not be happier. Selecting a photographer was the most important vendor choice for us. We did a lot of research and met with a lot of photographers before finally finding Laura's information online. We loved her as soon as we met with her and knew she would be great for our wedding!! Her style of photography is exactly what we wanted and her great personality was very important to us since she would be interacting with us and our family / friends all day. Laura was very professional and had excellent communication and follow up skills. The contract, pricing and packages were all easy to understand. Wedding day went very smoothly and we had a ton of fun. We are waiting for the full file of photos, but based on what we have seen so far they are fantastic and we have received tons of compliments. The photos are authentic and creative and Laura is very very talented! We are so excited to see the rest! Her turnaround time seems standard since photographers spend time editing and of course have other events to shoot. Laura Meyer is an AMAZING photographer. Her photos sell themselves, to us it's her sweet personality and professional approach that made her our favorite vendor from our wedding. Her pictures are artistic, fun, and she really allows your true personality to shine through her photos. When I received the first glimpse of our wedding photos I was beyond happy! She is very prompt and reliable. She even came out to meet with us at our venue a week before our wedding to scope out the best photo opts.

Our engagement pics were a blast and she really makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera. During our "first look" (which I totally recommend) she allowed us to take in the moment and she captured all our emotions through her pictures.

Our event coordinator at our venue was MIA during our whole wedding causing some stressful moments. But Laura was right there to help us and guide us. My husband and I were married in August 2011 and had the perfect day … and I attribute that to our vendors, particularly Laura Meyer! Laura was great to work with from the moment we first met during a consultation appointment , on the wedding day and now- four months later. There were a couple of bumps during the day of the wedding (i.e. limo drivers trying to rush things due to time, a missing toss bouquet, etc.) and Laura was a lifesaver helping out with everything! I was astonished. While she is one amazing photographer, she went above and beyond the call of duty helping to make the day go great.

Her personality, professionalism, flexibility and ability to make things happen were more than we could have ever asked for. After having someone that I would rate as 5-stars I would expect to have moths coming from my wallet, but her prices are very reasonable, making the overall experience even that much greater.

We chose not to hire a videographer for our wedding day- hoping the photos would be enough to capture our day- and I am completely happy with that decision. Laura, and her assistant Kate, truly captured every moment and emotion of the day in such a stunning way. Having a picture of a memory is one thing, but her pictures speak louder than words! They are priceless!

While we haven’t gotten our photo album (completely my fault because I am super busy and slacking at looking through the one Laura developed a couple of months ago--- she’s great with follow-up and I am giving myself a deadline of Feb.1!) we have seen all of the photos and there isn’t one we didn’t like, and I know that I will love the finished product. The pictures are completely gorgeous and blew me away. I have also received the same feedback from friends and family. I’ve had colleagues that weren’t even at the wedding that have been raving about the photos Laura posted on her blog for four months now!

Hands down, we couldn’t have asked for a better photography team to deal with or better photos. Everything was perfect. I can honestly say that Laura Meyer was a blessing in disguise and we thank her so much!!!

I walked away from my wedding feeling that Laura Meyer is a friend. You can tell that she truly cares about the subjects in her photographs and enjoys her career. I loved working with Laura and it was great that there were so many photographers at our wedding and reception, I felt that every moment was captured. :) It was a wonderful experience. :)

Laura and Christina were wonderful to work with. They were very flexible with our ten million schedule changes we had throughout our wedding planning. My wife and I were celebrating our 10 year marriage with a renewal of vows and since it was such a landmark for us, we wanted to make sure we hired the best, which is why we chose Laura Meyer.

They were prompt with their arrival, very professional, and offered great suggestions when we were in a bind. We felt bad because the family pictures took longer than expected but again, Laura was very patient and was able to get the job done. I would recommend Laura to anyone that is thinking of choosing a photographer that actually has the field experience that she does.

LMP is FANTASTIC! We are still getting compliments on our photos. Not only did my husband and I love working with Laura, but she and her assistant made the entire family and wedding party love working with them also. Laura was so flexible in scheduling our engagement session. And when it came time to make decisions about book layouts, she was always willing to send along samples and suggestions. Absolutely the most painless process in the whole wedding. We would recommend LMP to any- and everybody.

Laura is an excellent photographer and very professional. If you are looking for something different for your wedding, nothing cheesy and very modern, this is for you. Laura is so cute and so fun that she makes you enjoy more your wedding. Chris, her assistant is very nice and did a great job too.
The photos she took in our wedding are stunning! Everybody told me that our photos are amazing and completely different to any other wedding photographers. Some out of town friends who are getting married even asked me about Laura's information because they were seriously thinking on hiring her for their wedding.

I found Laura by googling "Wedding Photographers in Oakbrook, IL". When I came across her website, I thought her pictures were amazing and she had the exact style I was looking for... candid, unique, and creative. When I inquired for more information, I at first decided I shouldn't meet with her because her packages were over my budget. That's when I met with the Fred Fox, Jolie Images, and Modern Studio's... all, mind you, are exactly the same. Great looking prices, but everything you'd obviously want would end up being extra in cost making them actually really expensive. So, I decided to meet with Laura because I decided she had what I was looking for and when it comes down to it, pictures are all that is left over after this amazingly quick day. I adored her personality immediately and thought she'd get the bridal party into the pictures and do an amazing job. She also INCLUDES every thing you would obviously want in all of her packages which I realized makes her really affordable and well worth it. We had 2 photographers, 10 hours, 3 albums (ours and 2 for our 2 sets of parents), and the CD with all of our proofs. She did such an amazing job with every thing, we couldn't be happier! Laura photographed my 5/22/10 wedding in Lombard, IL and she was an absolute joy to work with. I am one of those brides who does not like having her picture taken and Laura made the whole process effortless and fun. She was organized and was able to wrangle my large wedding party and extended family in and out of shots effortlessly. I'd never had professional photography taken before and her work is truely amazing; I keep hearing from friends and family how beautiful and natural we all looked. She listened to our requests, got the shots we wanted yet was unobtrusive so we could really have a good time at our party. Laura is professional, organized and a breeze to work with. Her website is excellent and easy to navigate. I would highly recommend her for any occaision as she is excellent at her art and delivered an exceptional product. Thank you Laura!

Laura was incredible! She is easy to work with, creative, responsive, professional and INCREDIBLY talented! Laura was the first wedding vendor we booked (even before our venue!) and was by far the best money we spent! We were blown away with our engagement picture which Laura was so SUPER flexible to reschedule twice due to in-climate weather on our first 2 attempts! and even though we were literally running through the rain by the end of them, Laura was laughing and having fun the whole way. Then I opted to do a boudoir session with her, which is NOT an easy thing to just do...and again, Laura made me feel so comfortable, not self conscious and like a darn rock star! And of course on our wedding day, when my husband and I (and Laura, too!) decided to drag our bridal party of 10 to Millennium Park, the Wrigley Building, La Salle Street and Wicker Park for pictures before our 5pm ceremony, Laura and her Assistant Christina just made it happen with amazing pictures to show for it! My family and friends still talk about how amazing our wedding photography is! She is competitively priced and worth any money spent as her talent FAR Exceeds her price tag! Not to mention she's just an awesome person to be around!

Laura did a wonderful job with our wedding and engagement photo sessions! I couldn't have asked for any better. She was very flexible and also gave us some great ideas to help make all of our pictures just right. She has a great eye and does not just do the "cookie cutter" type wedding photography that some of the larger studios tend to produce. She was very professional throughout the entire process and she completed our proofs for both sessions very quickly. I have not heard of anybody getting their wedding proofs or albums finished as quickly as ours was done. I would recommend Laura to anyone looking for a photographer!

Laura was absolutely fantastic to work with. From the moment we met her, we knew she would be the perfect person to capture our personalities on our wedding day. Laura was easy to get contact throughout the process and went above and beyond to make sure our engagement and wedding photos were perfect. Laura was professional, courteous and patient. She has a photojournalistic approach and creates the most beautiful, artistic pictures. She uses another photographer, so you�ll get great pictures from all different angles. Her prices are extremely competitive and she also includes a free engagement session with her packages. Laura was AMAZING! She was so easy to work with. She was responsive through the whole process. She provided suggestions and accomodated all of our requests. We had a sort of strangely timed wedding day. The wedding was at city hall in the morning and the reception that evening. We wanted photographs of both events but there was about 5 hours in between we didn't need photographs. Laura was spectacularly flexible and never made us feel as if we were asking too much of her. Not to mention the value for the quality of her services.

Laura is amazing and her assistant was just as friendly and as a team they really captured the personalities of my husband and I on our big day. The only complaint I have is that her pictures are so beautiful it was nearly impossible to choose prints and pics for our album. I felt like the most beautiful bride with the most handsome groom and laura really made us look perfect. I will use her in the future and will beg my friends and family to use her for their events. She is a wonderful person too.

We could not have been more happy with our experience with Laura Meyer Photography. Laura was extremely flexible in designing a photography package that would fit our needs. She was completely professional throughout the entire process - she was quick to respond to inquiries, offered options and ideas, and worked to fit our budget. The day of the shoot, she quickly put us at ease with her friendly and thoughtful demeanor, and we actually enjoyed the process. Most importantly, Laura is an excellent photographer. Laura was extremely professional, relaxed and personable makeing our day fly by. She does exceptional work and offers great deal for all that you get, Her photography style is awesome she captured all of our memories perfectly. Our fun and candid shots showed the energy of the wedding but always kept someone in focus, their was not a single picture that I was disappointed in. Laura Meyer Photography MADE my wedding! She was so AWESOME to work with! In a time when planning is taking you over, she is the most responsive and accomodating professional I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She is creative, fun, and her work is amazing. I cannot say enough about her. I have heard and seen horror stories about wedding photographers. My friend that was married in September of 2007 still has not received her album. Laura and a quick return! Even with the gazillion weddings she does, Laura was so quick getting everything squared away. She does amazing slideshows too!
I am so pleased with her services. I wish I could tell every couple getting married to seek her out, you WILL NOT be sorry. I love her, she has become a friend and the ONLY photographer I will use in the future!

We loved Laura! Even though she only had a few years of professional experience you would never know it. Her passion for photography really stood out amongst many of the candidates I was interviewing for my wedding. Laura is outgoing, personable and a great listener. She meet every need we had and went above and beyond several times. The quality and style of her photos were fantastic. Her pricing is right now and a good selection of packages. She responded quickly to all my emails and came to my place of business to meet with me since I have trouble getting out of work. Our photos were available for our guests to view in under 2 weeks and she sent us (included in our package) a copy of our wedding disk within 6 weeks. I would highly recommend Laura Meyer Photography for any occasion. We can't wait to use her services again once we have a baby!

My experience with Laura Meyer Photography was fantastic. Laura was very organized and made sure that everything on my "shot list" was addressed. I look back and truly feel that the time spent with Laura and her assistant was like spending time with a familiar friend. I could not have been more blessed having someone as personable as her photographing my wedding! Her packages are very reasonable...especially considering you are getting two photographers! And she even offers the option of selling you your proofs so you can reprint at your convenience. After the wedding, Laura produced my online proofs in less than one month. Not to mention she is great with follow-up...always making sure that everything I received makes me happy!

Laura Meyer was absolutely wonderful. The search to find a good photographer who would capture the memories of our special day was over as soon as we talked with her. Laura was an absolute pleasure to work with, and our pictures are beautiful! I have recommended her to several of my friends for both weddings and family portraits. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer. Photography was one of the things that I would not compromise on for our wedding, and I'm glad that I didn't. There may be less expensive options out there, but I have seen the difference in quality and customer service from using Laura as opposed to some of the less expensive photographers my friends have used.

Laura and her assistant were wonderful from the planning to creating the album. Laura is very professional, patient and just a kind person. We are both camera shy, but she put us at ease and captured our wedding beautifully. The value of her package and quality of her work could not compete with any other company. For a very fair price we received all of the extras that other companies charge much more for. I couldn't be happier with our photography.

Laura was absolutely amazing. She excels not only at traditional portraiture but at capturing those beautiful, candid moments when nobody is aware of the photographer. She was a blast to work with and did such an amazing job of capturing the joy and love that was our wedding day. The perfect blend we had been looking for, and an editing style I had been hoping for as well. Pricing is higher than some other options, but you get every penny's worth.

I just finished picking out a ton of photos for Christmas present photo albums and I love them even more than I did when we first got them, I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review. My husband's family is especially fond of blooper photos, if more than one person's making a funny face that's even better. Laura went above and beyond and went back through the photos to find the particularly awesome blooper shots for us!! Laura, I hope you'll be happy to know they made the albums! Her 2nd shooter was Christina, and she handled the groomsmen very well and took a ton of awesome photos with them. Thank you a million times, Laura, you did an amazing job!

Laura was absolutely phenomenal! I planned my Chicago wedding from New York without many visits "on-site," yet Laura was able to create a seamless timetable and capture incredible moments. She was professional from moment one: responsive to calls and emails, providing multiple references and work samples. I was so impressed by Laura's "left brain" organizational skills that I didn't expect such amazing "right brain" creativity in the photographs. She was able to capture some truly unique shots while also providing us with plenty of "parent worthy/frameable" moments. Laura is also very upbeat and positive and a wonderful presence during a wedding. I would highly recommend Laura to any bride!

Laura and Mike were unbelievable! I had such a tight budget and I was hesitant to contact her because she was over. I’m glad that I did email her. She created a package deal that just inside my budget and i didnt lose on the length of time, number of photos, or quality of work. She really knows how to help out a broke bride!
Im being super picky with my review in regards with the responsiveness. When I emailed her it might have taken a day or two to get back in the beginning. Im comparing that to some of the other photographers in the area (and how I conduct my own business with my less than 24hr policy). After seeing her work and attention to details, I can see that she is a very busy woman. And in the grand scheme of things, waiting 36-40hrs for an email is totally worth it. She is friendly, inviting, bubbly, and open to do any shot and work with any filters that you request. Most other photographers don’t allow that much say in their equipment.
HIGHLY recommend Laura and Mike.
