From the moment I got engaged, I knew without a doubt that I wanted Larissa and her team to be part of my wedding day. Having been a client of theirs back when I lived in Connecticut, I already knew how talented, kind, and professional they were—but somehow, they still managed to exceed every expectation.

From start to finish, working with them was an absolute dream. I have truly never felt more beautiful in my entire life, and my bridesmaids felt the exact same way. The team was patient, attentive, incredibly skilled, and brought such a fun, positive energy to the morning.

There are not enough words to express how wonderful it was to work with Kelly and Brittany for my wedding day hair and makeup! They are truly the best of the best! They each took my vision and went above and beyond to make me feel so beautiful on my wedding day. Each member of my bridal party looked and felt amazing thanks to Kelly and Brittany’s talent and ability to enhance everyone’s natural features. They patiently listened to everyone’s preferences in order to make us all feel and look beautiful. I am so grateful for their attention to detail, as they stayed past their allotted time to provide quick touch ups before we left for the ceremony. Our hair and makeup lasted all day and night, even with plenty of dancing! I highly recommend working with Kelly and Brittany!

Kelly’s the best!

We hired Larissa lake & co to do my makeup for my wedding and if after reading this post and you’re wondering what to do.. book immediately!!!
3 days before my wedding I got a call that the original make up artist was in the hospital and unable to do mine or anyone’s makeup the morning of. As any bride the week of the wedding, I was panicking but everyone at Larissa Lake worked so hard to make sure that my day would still be perfect. I was quite skeptical because my trial was everything I hoped for and more and was so nervous it wouldn’t be able to be re-created.
They were able to squeeze me in for a new makeup trial within 16 hours of that dreaded phone call and I was in the makeup chair with Kelly and she completely recreated the look to perfection and made her own of it and my nerves were immediately gone. I originally had someone else doing my hair but after seeing Kelly work her magic we asked if she would be able to do my hair for my wedding day, and the team figured a way that she would be able to and Kelly was more than accommodating and excited.
Kelly had another wedding the day of mine which meant she’d have to leave an hour earlier than our original contract stated with our original artist. The whole wedding coordination team figured out a way to make sure all the people getting their makeup done would be able to and because of Kelly having to leave an hour earlier than planned, Larissa’s sister also came to help on wedding day.
Kelly and Shauntelle were amazing, thorough, kind, and exceptional at their crafts.
Kelly came with pictures from my trial two days prior and wanted to change a few things and I trusted her completely. Shauntelle did 5 girls makeup and they turned out UNREAL. Everyone loved their makeup and it stayed ALL day and night without moving!
Kelly did my mom’s makeup and my hair and makeup! They were perfection. My hair stayed all night and my makeup was unbelievable. It couldn’t have turned out better and although I was so nervous with how things would turn out I honestly think everything happens for a reason (of course not the artist getting sick but the change of plans that happened)!
1000000000/10 recommend. I’d do it all again with the exact same outcome over and over again! Kelly was amazing and i couldn’t be more obsessed with her! Thank you everyone from the Larissa Lake team for going above and beyond! Thank you will never be enough!!!

Hire ll & co.

extremely talented hair and makeup team that were so professional. My hair trial was amazing, and she made all the appropriate changes I asked for on the wedding day. Larissa and her team were on time, traveled to us, and got 8 women done in 4 hours! We were all dripping in sweat from the heat and our makeup was flawless!! Also the salon in Wethersfield is gorgeous if you needed to get ready there.

I can’t get over how beautiful I felt and looked on my wedding day

These ladies are extremely talented. Lexi did my makeup and Emily did my hair. I also had Brittany do my spray tan a couple days before! I can’t get over how beautiful I felt and looked the whole time. It is so important for a bride to feel beautiful so don’t take any risks and choose the BEST ladies ever at Larissa lake and co! We also had Ally and Ashley and all 4 of these ladies successfully made almost 20 ladies (including 4 mini ladies) look and feel absolutely beautiful. I have NEVER have been in a wedding where every single bridesmaid is absolutely obsessed with the way their hair and makeup came out!! THANK YOU!!!!

Beautiful Bride

Larissa Lake and Co was absolutely incredible for my wedding day! They made me feel so beautiful and secure!! Crystal was quick to respond with answers to any questions I had. My beauty team, Magenta and Ashley, were friendly, punctual and professional! The beauty trials were great to really get the best idea of my wedding look and they were able to make adjustments as needed day of.

Wedding day they showed up on time and ready to go and made my bridesmaids and myself feel beautiful! My makeup held all night long and through all my sweat and happy tears! My hair looked amazing and also held all night long! I can't thank Ashley and Magenta enough for all their hard work!!!

LL&Co has the most talented artists!

I booked Crystal & Ashlyn for my wedding hair & makeup, and they completely blew me away! They are such incredible artists, made me look and feel my absolute best, and are so much fun to work with. I still look back at our photos/videos and can't believe how stunning my hair & makeup were, and how well they held up throughout the whole day/night!

Crystal & Ashlyn also did hair & makeup for the moms & sisters, and everyone looked gorgeous! Every single one of them was so happy with how theirs came out, which I can vouch (from being in many weddings) is never the case.

I can't recommend these talented ladies enough!!

Outstanding hair and makeup from Ashlyn and Crystal

I worked with Ashlyn and Crystal for my wedding and they are clearly world class professionals! My bridesmaids, my mom, and myself were all so impressed with the quality of their work and how efficiently they worked the day of our wedding as well. The hair styles and make-up were done fast and stayed in-tact all day and all night. At midnight, everybody still looked like they had just gotten their hair and make-up done. Crystal was super accommodating when it came to helping me pick out hair extensions for the wedding and Ashlyn remembered the small couple of things I wanted to change with my make-up from the trial to the day of my wedding and executed flawlessly!! We all could not have been happier!

Wedding Hair 5.30.21

Larissa Lake & Co was recommended to me by a friend so I booked Crystal to do mine and my wedding party hair. I found Crystal on Instagram and loved all her work. I did a trial with Crystal and showed her a few Pinterest photos and she made my wedding hair dreams come to life. The salon was very communicative leading up to the wedding and Crystal traveled to the hotel and was their on time and finished mine, my mother, matron of honor and maid of honor hair in time. My hair looked even more beautiful than the trial hair. Everyone else loved their hair too. Crystal did an amazing job. She is very professional and truly good at what she does. My hair stayed in place throughout the whole wedding day and so did my bridal party hair. Thank you Crystal!

I truly cannot recommend Larissa Lake and Co. enough for their pre-wedding prep and day-of glam! Maria worked with me for months on skincare and provided the best facials and lash lifts leading up to the day. Not only did Natalie create the perfect color blonde for my hair prior to my wedding, she also gave me the most gorgeous wedding day makeup. Choosing Larissa Lake & Co as my wedding beauty team was, without a doubt, a decision I cannot recommend highly enough!
I was blessed to have Crystal as my hair stylist for BOTH my small wedding in December and my big celebration in July. Crystal is professional, genuine and beyond talented at what she does. Her attention to detail is outstanding, as she’s constantly going above and beyond to make sure you feel beautiful.
In July, with a larger group, Olivia and Ashlyn joined Crystal for the day. All three artists were incredibly skillful, applying their expertise so that it reflected the visions we’d shared with them and doing so in a way that made the entire process enjoyable! They were also flawlessly punctual, keeping right on schedule, and even provided touch-ups before leaving! My mom, mother-in-law and bridesmaids were also so happy with how their hair and makeup looked, which is all the more impressive given they each requested distinctly unique styles.

Flawless and professional!

All I can say is… WOW! My hair and makeup came out FLAWLESS on the big day, along with my bridal party. Ashlyn and Kristyn were professional, fun, and extremely talented! My hair and makeup trial experiences also were fantastic. Ashlyn was able to incorporate my makeup along with hers to create my dream look and Kristyn gave me what I did not even know I wanted! My pictures came back looking incredible, and I could not recommend their services more! In addition, I had my hair cut and colored twice at their salon, and it was WORTH the over an hour drive!

Incredible

Brittany is an actual angel. We live in NY and had a tiny window of time on one specific day to get a make up trial done. She opened the salon early so I could come in, so right from the start I knew she was who I wanted even before experiencing her talent. The day of our wedding she was cool, calm and friendly. Exactly the energy you want to be around when you’re trying to get 8 people and a bride ready. Everyone looked beautiful and loved their make up because she listened to EXACTLY what WE wanted. Do not hesitate for one second if you are considering Brittany to take care of your wedding. She was the best and we could not have been more happy.

So talented!

The ladies from Larissa Lake were incredible! Kristyn, the bridal coordinator, was so easy to work with. She responded to all communication so quickly and was so flexible. My mother-in-law called me the week before the wedding asking to have her hair and makeup done and they were so accommodating by adding her to their schedule. Olivia and Natalie were the total dream team! When I went to the salon for my trial they did such an amazing job, but did an even better job (which I didn’t think was possible) for the actual wedding day! They were efficient with their time and all of my bridesmaids were so happy with the way their hair and makeup turned out. They did buns, half up styles, and full down styles and each one looked incredible. They are hands down the best!!

Professional, Talented HAMU Team!

My recent experience with Larissa Lake and Co. was top-notch. I was extremely lucky they were available for my wedding date to do my hair and makeup for my entire bridal party. Larissa and Ashlyn squeezed me into their schedules for a trial before my wedding date and spent so much time listening to what my vision was while offering their professional expertise and insight. On the day of the wedding, they were SO efficient and accommodating for my bridal party of 9. My party is still RAVING about Larissa and Ashlyn's talent - from how great their hair looked, to how well their makeup stayed, to how Ashlyn helped their brows look amazing - they truly were incredible! My hair and makeup also lasted throughout rain and a night full of dancing while still looking natural - just what I wanted! The payment process, from deposit to final payment, was also clear from beginning to end leaving no room for confusion. As a side note, the salon itself is gorgeous and inviting and it is clear the entire team is talented and dedicated. I highly recommend this salon!

Me & my insanely large bridal party used Larissa Lake & Co. for our hair and makeup for my wedding day and everyone was LOVING their looks. I know from experience that hair/makeup doesn’t always turn out how everyone wants it for large wedding parties. That was not the case with Larissa. Flawless Hair and Makeup!

Kelly from Larissa Lake is absolutely amazing! When I had worked with her for my hair and makeup trial, she was nice, easy to talk to, and really paid attention to what I wanted for my wedding day look. On my wedding day, Kelly and her assistant, arrived on time and completed all of the girls’ hair and makeup earlier than expected! We actually had a little time to relax before the photographer arrived. We all looked flawless and couldn’t have been happier!! I don’t wear makeup on a day to day basis and was so worried that I wouldn’t look like myself, but Kelly made sure that I was comfortable with how everything was turning out. Best natural looking makeup I’ve ever seen!! My hair and makeup also lasted all day long and that doesn’t usually happen with curls! I can’t recommend Larissa Lake enough!

Flawless Makeup, Good Service

From the start, working with Larissa Lake was easy. The team was very responsive and able to answer all of my questions. The contract was clear and all expectations were set from the beginning.

Kelly was great to work with for my makeup. After meeting her for my makeup trial, I felt confident that my wedding makeup would be flawless. On the day of the wedding, Kelly arrived on time and was able to complete everyone's hair and makeup according to schedule. On top of her wonderful work, Kelly was truly a nice person. She made everyone feel comfortable and was so easy to talk to.

Stunning Work

Where do I begin? These girls are simply the best! The Larissa Lake & Co team did a phenomenal job for my late August wedding - my bridesmaids, moms and myself all looked and felt beautiful thanks to Crystal, Sarah and Natalie. Crystal and I had immediately connected during my trial. She not only understood the vision I had for my bridal hair but made it come to life in the form a gorgeous boho half up/half down 'do! I, along with my wedding guests, were swooning over the creation! Sarah did an outstanding job on my makeup and successfully carried out the "natural glam" look I was going for as a bride. All the Larissa girls are so friendly, talented and personable. I can't recommend using LL&Co enough for all your wedding-day beauty needs!

Perfect personality when you're getting ready!

I had a lot of people recommend doing a makeup trial, however I ended up having emergency surgery 2 weeks before my wedding and had to cancel the trial. That being said, I went into my wedding a little blind on makeup, and I couldn't be more ecstatic with how incredible everyone's makeup turned out!!! Kristyn and Kelly made me and my bridesmaids look so beautiful!! I don’t wear much makeup so I was nervous about finding a makeup artist that would make me look like myself but Kelly did it!!! Kristyn and Kelly are a dream team

Kristyn and Kelly from Larissa Lake & Co were so key in making the morning of my wedding run smoothly. I am very hesitant about wearing my hair up but wanted to due to the style of my dress- Kristyn was incredibly helpful in hearing my like and dislikes and then creating the perfect look for me. Kelly's makeup had me feeling like the most beautiful version of myself I could have all day long. I don't typically wear a lot of makeup and wanted a balance of feeling like myself still, but also embracing a day of going a little more glamorous than I typically would- and Kelly absolutely nailed it. On top of this, both women were friendly, easy to talk to, professional, and kind. They made my bridesmaids look and feel amazing as well. One of my bridesmaids was pretty sick day of the wedding and made the point to tell me how awesome the two of them made her not only look, but feel. These two are amazing!

Best natural looking makeup ever!

I feel like EVERY review is the same! But that’s only because Larissa lake and co. Is simply THE best on the East coast! Larissa is absolutely wonderful! A complete & total gem to be around! No wonder why her staff loves their job they have an amazing boss! Each team member is so talented and remarkable! The quality of service I received was so high caliber! The pre-wedding trials and the bridal package included a glow facial, of course I had to upgrade to the hydra facial which made my skin look and feel amazing! The whole process felt like a dream! They all know what they are doing and every bridesmaids look was spot on! Lasted all day and night into the next day! My makeup was absolutely stunning! I never felt more beautiful than the day of my trial and the day of my wedding and the morning after! Because my hair and makeup stayed until then! It was flawless! You simply have to go with Larissa lake and co. Makeup and hair was one of the more important things to me, so I didn’t mind spending that extra money. I had purposely set aside extra so I could afford the best company!

I have never felt more beautiful -- while feeling like myself -- than I did on my wedding day. LL&Co took my vision for hair and makeup and executed it PERFECTLY. In addition, my mom, grandma and bridal party LOVED LL&Co's work; they all felt (and looked!) so unbelievably beautiful. On top of all that, the ladies who work at LL&Co. (including, in particular, Larissa herself) are all so fantastic. They are upbeat, clearly love what they do, professional and oh-so-much-fun! We finished hair and makeup for ten ladies early, which is apparently rare for a wedding. That gave me plenty of time to relax and eat lunch before getting dressed. Last but not least, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the follow-up to the wedding day: Kelly did my brows for the months leading up to my wedding (and they were perfect, of course), and Maria worked with me on my skin (the hydrafacial is life-changing) so that I literally glowed on my wedding day. Even though the wedding is over, I will continue going LL&Co. for my skincare/brow needs and for ANY special event in the future. Thank you SO much LL&Co!!

I would not have anyone else do my hair and make besides the girls at Larissa Lake. It was soo amazing to have them come to us at the Madison on the day of my wedding. We had a big group - 15 girls! For my wedding day, I searched high and low for a stylist to give me the most perfect textured bridal bun. After going through many stylists, I finally went for a trial with Larissa. Immediately, I knew she was the one to do my hair on the most special day of my life.

Booking Larissa over a year in advance, I visited her beautiful salon numerous times to perfect both my wedding look, wedding color, and brows. Her entire team is beyond amazing, and truly help you perfect your entire look through both honesty and expertise.

On the day of my wedding, both Larissa and Crystal worked wonders. Together they did the hair of my 8 bridesmaids, myself, and my flower girl. They were prompt, professional, and on schedule the entire time. To say that my bridal party looked stunning is an understatement. Everyone’s hair, of varying lengths, colors, textures, and styles, looked flawless and held the entire night. For my wedding hair, Larissa made a decision to create a more elegant/sleek bun then we had originally trialed for. Trusting her, we went for it and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I looked exactly how I wanted to on my wedding day - a classic and elegant bride. I cannot thank Larissa, Crystal, and the entire LL team enough for all that they did for me the year leading up to my wedding, and on my wedding day. They are truly so talented at what they do. I found Larissa Lake and Co on Instagram when searching for hair and makeup artists for my wedding day. To say I was incredibly happy with the results is not enough. I signed up for the signature bridal package, so I had an included facial in the package and had my hair and makeup trial in December. The trial went great, with Rachel (hair) and Natalie (makeup), making changes that I requested as we moved along. I had my facial (which I opted to upgrade) two weeks before my wedding, which was a great way to relax during a highly stressful period of wedding planning! Also, my skin looked so clean and fresh after the facial!

On the wedding day, Rachel and Natalie arrived promptly to my wedding suite ready to glam up myself, four bridesmaids and my mom. We had a great morning filled with a lot of talking and laughing. Our hair and makeup looked flawless the entire day! All of my girls and I were joking at the end of the night that our makeup looked as good at 11:30pm as it did at 11:30 that morning. They listened to each girl's wants and needs and executed it beautifully. As the bride, I loved my entire look! My makeup popped in the photos and I felt like the best version of myself on one of the biggest days of my life. Thank you to both Rachel and Natalie for being so amazing!

I can't say enough good things about Larissa and her team! From start to finish, they were wonderful. My trials, my bridal glow facial, my haircut a few weeks before my wedding, and everything the day of. We had Larissa, Kristyn and Ashlyn for hair and makeup on my wedding day, and people were blown away by how amazing we all looked. Even with a couple of my bridesmaids having no idea what they wanted for hair or makeup, and with no inspiration photos, these three ladies nailed it! I have so much appreciation for the kindest and most talented women of LLMUA &Co !! They're amazing. I was first introduced to Larissa and her company from being in one of my best friend's weddings about four years ago. Soon after that time I started making appointments with Larissa, she has helped to save my eyebrows! It was a wonderful experience sharing the news of my engagement with her, I had known that I wanted LLMUA & Co. for my wedding makeup and as soon as we had a date set I sent in my information. Kristyn and Kelsey were incredible for helping me with all the arrangements. Sarah is fabulous, she helped me with one last eyebrow wax and to have a sun kissed glow with the spray tan before the big day- which looked so natural!

Larissa, Sara, Sarah and Rehia were a part of our dream team that helped to make our wedding day absolutely perfect. I cannot thank them enough. They are all so nice and fun to work with. They worked incredibly well with all of our photographers and videographers, who were helping to capture the getting ready moments. I LOVED all of our makeup. Stephanie and Rachel of Larissa Lake handled the hair + makeup on our wedding day this past June 2017, and I cannot say enough about how amazing they made everyone feel. Starting with my trial, I gave Rachel the task of figuring out the best braid! She was so patient and we tried several different braid styles before landing on the one. On the day of the wedding, I was in LOVE with my hair + makeup - it was EXACTLY how I had pictured myself on my wedding day. And my bridesmaids felt the love too, with one of my girls (who’s been in 7 weddings!) saying it was the best hair + makeup she’s ever had. My experience with the team was so great that I’m now a client at Larissa Lake, seeing Rachel for hair and just starting to see their skincare specialist, Maria, for regular facials. Their new space is so gorgeous (just like all of them!). Definitely recommend this team!

Larissa & her team are amazing at what they do! If you are looking for a team that you can have full confidence in to do hair and make up for your special day, they are #1. We ended up tweaking my hair & makeup from my trial and Larissa nailed it! I even had Nicole come to the reception after cocktail hour to put it up, so I could have a second look and I was so happy that I did! The rest of the bridal party looked phenomenal as well (bridesmaids, mothers, and flower girls). In preparation for the big day, I have to commend Maria for the great skincare regimes she did on me. I spent a lot of time reading reviews of make up vendors and looking at their portfolio. I had narrowed it down to LLMUA and a few others, but based on the raving reviews I decided to set up a bridal trial with LLMUA and I am so thankful I did! My hair and make up was exactly how I pictured it. And they were very receptive to changing minor details like going from a pink blush to a more orange blush. On the day of the wedding, they came on time and we even finished 30 minutes early. I highly recommend!

Laura and Melanie made me feel like a princess on my wedding day. They came as a recommendation from my maid of honor and they were one of my best wedding decisions. These ladies are non-stop talent! Laura was able to give me a beautiful make up look for my bridal shower and wedding that photographed flawlessly and looked natural in person. Melanie is also the most talented hair stylist and has the patience of a saint. I struggled to find the right look for my hair and she was so incredibly patient and kind when I got discouraged. Finally when I told her I wanted something subtle across the top of my hair she took off her necklace and let me pin it in my hair for effect and it finally tied the look together for me! Totally above and beyond! When I now look at my wedding photos I feel like I looked beautiful. Best of all, I still look like myself, just the best version of me! Feeling good about the way I looked on my wedding day was the most important thing to me. I know it sounds vain, but what's the point of spending thousands on a photographer if you hate the way you look in pictures? Larissa nailed it. I've hated most professional hairstyles that I've had, so I was very nervous about finding one I liked for my wedding. When my Pinterest page of ideas was all over the place, she knew the exact questions to ask to realize the style best for me. She also made me the most beautiful custom hairpiece that complimented my look perfectly. I have never felt so beautiful as I did on my wedding day, and I am so grateful to Larissa for the stunning work she did on my hair and makeup. I love LLMUA!! Everyone there does great work, from makeup to hair, and I get all my beauty services done there now! I had Laura and Kelly for make up and Danielle and Stephanie S for hair. I had a total of 10 girls get hair done and 9 makeup, including myself. Nothing was ever rushed, and we all looked gorgeous!! The makeup was flawless, and lasted all night! It's also amazing to get ready wherever you want, no rushing around the morning of...plus, these girls are all so sweet, and love what they do! I looked AMAZING on my wedding day all thanks to LLMUA, specifically Laura and Melanie. My hair and make up turned out great. I hired LLMUA for my hair and make up for myself, my 4 bridesmaids, and mother/mother-in-law. I met both Laura and Melanie at my makeup trial a little over a month before my wedding. Their personalities were awesome and their work even better. They made sure that I liked everything before I left my trial. The day of my wedding they came in at 11:30am and were done around 3pm. They were quick but never compromising their work.
I initially contacted another make up team and did not like their lack of response when I would send emails asking questions. Laura was my main contact and she was very quick about responding to me.

I would definitely recommend them to any other bride.

Back a couple of years ago I was in a wedding for my sister in law! She had this amazing team of hair and makeup artists come to her house to get us ready for her BIG day! I was blown away and brought the tears by the amazing work that they did on that day. I made a vow that when I became engaged... LLMUA would have to be a part of the special day! We had my daughters hair and makeup done as well as several bridesmaids and makeup for myself the day of the wedding. Danielle and Agnes were wonderful. We had so much fun. It was a relaxing day and everyone enjoyed having their hair/makeup done at our house. My makeup was done at 11am and was still beautiful at midnight. These ladies are very professional. All the hairdos were beautiful. The airbrush makeup was fabulous!!! I highly recommend these very talented ladies!!!!!

If you want the best of the best when it comes to hair and makeup artistry, look no further than Larissa Lake Makeup Artist & Co. In addition to working with them for my wedding, I also worked with them for my engagement pictures and trial and every single time I was just blown away. I went in basically knowing what I wanted and they tailored my requests to best suit my features and exceeded my expectations every single time. I had the pleasure of working with Laura for makeup and both Melanie and Danielle for hair and they were all so sweet and great to work with. My entire bridal party, my mom, grandmothers and mother-in-law were all thrilled with how they looked and were so impressed with how well everything stayed in place all day. Even though my wedding is over, I wouldn't hesitate to book them again for a special occasion.

Larissa and her team were absolutely fantastic! They did the hair and make up for myself, my 3 bridesmaids and my mom for our wedding and everyone looked stunning! Not only did everyone look amazing but it was such a fun experience having a team of gorgeous, glam ladies to get ready with for my big day! I also had a hair and make up trial previously for my engagement photos and all I can say is, wow! As soon as I got engaged I booked LLMUA. All of their brides are gorgeous, and everyone looks different showing that these ladies capture everyone's individual beauty. Laura responded quickly to the E-mail request, and as time went on and I needed to add people they process was incredibly easy and the response was always quick.
I CANNOT thank these ladies enough for making my wedding morning absolutely wonderful! Larissa, Kelly, and Katie were our team and they arrived early, ensured we had everything we needed prior to their arrival (mirrors/high chairs/tables) and scoped out the hotel room for the best spots. When our video guys had requests on locations for shots of me getting ready Larissa quickly relocated with a smile. Everyone was so quick to respond to any changes and did so with a smile. Some ladies came with photos others with ideas, everyone felt they were listened to and guided to truly look their best! I felt absolutely STUNNING, from my trial Larissa was so patient and really listened to my ideas and then when I hated them spent countless amounts of time ensuring I had the right hair and makeup to feel my best! These ladies are truly amazing, and I'm lucky I don't just get them on my wedding day as they're become my regular salon for hair, brown, and lash extensions!

LLMUA did all the hair & makeup for my wedding on March 7th, 2015. They are some of my favorite people on earth. Everyone was so calm and helped me stay calm. Laura and Melanie did my hair and makeup for my wedding and I just can't stop gloating about how well it came out - and lasted - the entire evening! These girls were totally on time, a pleasure to work with, and created amazing results. Laura was super quick at responding to e-mails, and they went crazy trying to find hair extensions to match my hair for me to make sure it looked perfect even when I asked them really late in the game.

All my 6 bridesmaids were saying how fun they were on the morning of - helping the conversation along and making everyone feel at ease. They also did hair for my 2 flower girls and hair and makeup for both my mother and mother-in-law which turned out beautifully. The price was on point even after they had to travel all the way to Long Island! I couldn't say it enough, you must book these girls!

One of my bridesmaids had booked Larissa Lake for her wedding a year before mine - it was about 100 degrees that day and nothing budged. So of course they were my first choice for my summer wedding. We had Melanie doing hair and Stephanie doing makeup and they were a blast! They joined in our trivia game, liked (most of) our crazy playlist, and even convinced my mom to glam it up with fake eyelashes, which she loved. We had a blast and everyone looked great!

I read about Larissa Lake Makeup Artist in the Hartford magazine and researched them online before hiring them to do my wedding hair and makeup. I am grateful to have heard about them because I didn't need to look any farther! All the positive reviews hold true to their word and I highly recommend getting makeup and hair done here. I had the privilege of working with Laura this past weekend and she is a PHENOMENAL makeup artist and sweet person! Laura came to Pittsburgh, PA for her sister-in-law's wedding and she also applied all the makeup for the whole wedding party (which was a BIG job considering she was IN the wedding!). Being in the beauty industry as an on-location hair stylist myself, I've seen a lot of makeup artists' work and Laura's work is flawless and expertly done. From our first correspondence over a year ago, to days before the wedding, communication with Laura was always prompt, warm and well thought-out. I was very impressed with her professionalism even with family. She was dedicated to starting promptly and ensuring every person was completely happy with their makeup. She also provided excellent tips for skin-care and suggestions for makeup outside of the wedding. I hired LLMUA for my November 21, 2014 wedding. Larissa and her staff arrived right on time (7:00am!) and worked on 8 people in my bridal party (hair, makeup, lashes). They were efficient, professional, and did an OUTSTANDING job! All of my bridesmaids, mother of bride/groom, grandmothers and myself looked exceptional! Larissa and staff were so sweet, they could tell how nervous I was, they tried to calm my nerves all while working so hard so early in the morning. Larissa did my trial and my hair and makeup on my wedding day! She was professional, sincere, and very sweet. I had never gotten makeup professionally done and only had my hair done a couple times for prom and a wedding, so I was a newbie to this stuff. She did a great job. I felt beautiful and loved the outcome both at my trial and on my wedding day. Larissa and her team did 7 girls hair and makeup in a matter of 3 short hours. I have to admit I wasn't sure if all that would happen in that short amount of time, but it sure did. We never felt or most importantly, looked rushed. The girls looked AMAZING! They were so happy with the final outcome of their hair and makeup. My mom was unsure about her hair and insisted on just doing a simple blowout; Katie talked her into a french twist (with the help of my sister) and she ended up LOVING it. We loved our experience with LLMUA. Now I just need more reasons to get my fair and makeup done so I can work with them again :)

These ladies were like my fairy godmothers. Okay so as an African American woman with a wedding party ranging from fair skinned with freckles to African American I was concerned with finding a makeup and hair artist that could make us all look glamorous. These ladies rock. Laura and her team came in like a pit crew to curl primp and pamper us. There was myself and my 7 ladies and they had us all looking incredible in no time. they matched the foundation to my skin tone PERFECTLY. We all cried the night through and nothing budged, smudged, or looked out of place. Our strip lashes stayed on and on and on. The colors were incredible and they gave us all the styles and looks we asked for. I was a naughty bride and ran out of time before the wedding to do a trial but looking at their previous work I trusted them and I am so glad that I did. The hair was stunning and very soft and fluid..no crunchy molded hair in the group! Book these ladies QUICK!

Book LLMUA now! Booking Larissa and her team was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding - I would give her 10 stars if I could. Book early, she fills up fast! Larissa is so incredibly talented and such a genuinely sweet person. I realized at my hair/makeup trial that her salon (which is adorable) is a place I would go to just hang out; everyone is so nice and just happy to be there. Larissa, Shauntelle and Kate did a fabulous job on the morning of my wedding. Myself and all of my bridesmaids did airbrush makeup and hair and as someone who doesn't wear that much makeup on a daily basis, I was in love. The airbrush looks so natural and feels like you aren't wearing any make up - and it lasts! I wish I lived closer to Larissa's salon, because I never want to have any else do my hair, eyebrows, eyelashes or makeup ever again!

Beyond AMAZING!! If you want to feel beautiful on your wedding day, you have to choose Larissa Lake. Their work is beyond incredible. As they only did our makeup, their work is still amazing. Shauntelle is so nice and will tell you what will and will no work on your face. She wants to not only look beautiful but feel beautiful, and that is exactly what she did. There was 13 of us getting our makeup done and my bridal party and family members were late, but the girls went right to work and finished with time to spare. If you want they, book fast since they book quickly.

I used Larissa Lake Makeup Artist & Co. for my wedding day and would HIGHLY recommend if you are looking for someone to do your hair/makeup to choose them. They are both professional and personable with their work and they made me and my bridesmaids look stunning. The hair and makeup lasted through the night into the after party. The makeup is flawless-airbrush is definitely the way to go. Melanie was the makeup artist I had at my sister-in-law's wedding in May and when I found out she was available for my wedding I was so excited! They are so consistent with their talent and everything came out perfectly. I felt and looked beautiful. I don't wear a lot of makeup, and Melanie and her girls have a way of highlighting someone's natural beauty. These are extremely talented women who are great to work with!

Larissa, Stephanie, Shauntelle, Danielle and Kate transformed my bridal party, my mom and grandmother-- And we had so much fun with them! I can't say enough good things. Their airbrush make up application is incredible and I don't wear much makeup on a daily basis.... And say yes to the eyelashes! When my husband and I started booking vendors for our wedding, Larissa Lake Makeup Artist and Company was a no-brainer! She was the second vendor I booked (right after the venue)! My sister-in-law hired Larissa and her staff for her wedding in 2011 and I remembered how flawless and beautiful she and her bridesmaids looked all day and into the night, so I knew Larissa Lake would be my makeup artist on my wedding day! I knew Larissa Lake was in high demand, so I booked her over a year out from my wedding to make sure I would have the best!

The morning of our wedding, Larissa, Chantel, and Stephanie came to my house to pretty-up my girls and me. All three of them were so friendly and fun to spend the morning with! I know each of my bridemaids was pleased with their hair and makeup! A few of my girls don’t typically wear makeup, and Larissa and Chantel were able to apply just enough so they felt like themselves and looked great!

Larissa did my hair and makeup. I was amazed when I looked in the mirror! I still looked like me, just wedding ready and incredible! My hair is straight and short, and Larissa was able to curl it, pin it, and create a beautiful hair style that made me feel so elegant. My makeup equally matched the elegance of my hair style! I felt so beautiful!

All through the day and night, my hair and makeup withstood the dancing, sweating, crying, cupcake smearing, and everything else that challenges hair and makeup to stay put! As I look through my photos, I am so pleased with the work of Larissa Lake Makeup Artist and Company! I received lots of compliments throughout my wedding day, too. Particularly on my hair style! Some people thought I had extensions! It was all mine, though!

Larissa and her team are FANTASTIC! After getting engaged last summer, Larissa Lake Makeup Artist was on of the first places I called to book my hair and makeup. From the beginning, Larissa and her team were helpful and professional, and listened to what each girl and mom wanted. They were able to come to our hotel room which was close to the venue, and put us at ease, as we were pampered on the day of the wedding.

Simply amazing. Larissa and her team are possibly the most genuine, friendly and most of all talented makeup artists in the area. When I used them in a wedding I was part of the bridal party instantly knew they would be who I was hiring for my upcoming day. I was confident in that I would look flawless. My trial ended by me crying cause I was so pleased. On my day Larissa's smile as she gently placed my veil on again reassured me I picked the right crew. Larissa Lake Makeup Artist & Co. did all the makeup for me (the bride) and my 5 bridesmaids and my mother. I honestly could not even believe how incredible everyone looked! They were able to help me design my makeup with my facial features. I let them use their expertise and they were spot on! It was an absolute pleasure working with them. The airbrush made everyone look flawless and there were no issues whatsoever. Larissa and her assistant arrived right on time and got to work immediately. They were so organized and prepared from the time I had my makeup trial to the day of the wedding. They gave us directions prior to the big day so that everyone was ready and things went smoothly. Everyone's makeup lasted the entire night of course. It was a shame when it was time to wash up! I will definitely be using LLMUA in the future. I could not have been any happier. They are true artists who love what they do!

I LOVE THESE LADIES. They are the most professional, talented, sweetest makeup and hair artists I have ever met. I had a traditional wedding in Hartford, CT. Larissa was so approachable and patient with me through the contracting process ( I forgot to send back the signed contract and deposit on time) Yet, she was so understanding and patient and accommodated me willingly! I went there for a facial ( I wish I went for more than one) and my bridal trial. I had to reschedule my trial so many times and they did it so easily and without a single complaint. On top of all that, they are the sweetest people. Everytime I go there, they boost my confidence level to 500% :-). Their work is flawless and they WILL make you look and feel beautiful. They can replicate absolutely any makup look and hairstyle on Pinterest...haha. They were on time on my wedding day, finished up on time and made me and my bridesmaid look absolutely gorgeous. Laura did my make up and Larissa did my hair. Everyone commented on our makeup and hairdo's. Don't think twice about hiring these ladies. I want to start out by saying Thank the Lord for the ladies at LLMUA!! They helped to make me and my bridal party absolutely gorgeous for the wedding! I had the pleasure of having Vanessa do my hair, and she did a fantastic job. I have extensions and she was able to style my hair exactly how I wanted, and the curls stayed all night. I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Larissa and her team each time I dealt with her. Each person's hair and make-up turned out fabulous and I heard nothing but compliments from everyone. They were even able to squeeze in my grandmother-in-law for make-up last minute. I loved my make-up for my engagement shoot and loved my wedding make-up even more! Larissa has a great vision. I look forward to working with her in the future! Would recommend her 100% to anyone that is having a tough time making a decision. Prices were reasonable and she was willing to work with me for trials given I work in NYC and getting her during the week is very difficult. They were so responsive and I emailed directly with my makeup artist for the day of the wedding, rather than going through someone else to do it. Everyone I worked with was so friendly and professional!

The day of the wedding, Laura did a wonderful job making sure each of my bridesmaids as well as my mom had exactly what they wanted. The makeup and eyelashes looked so natural and stayed on all night long. The makeup they did looked absolutely beautiful in the pictures! I would definitely recommend Larissa Lake to anyone looking for beautiful makeup for a competitive price!

We had Laura and Kelly do make-up for our New Years Eve wedding. They both went above and beyond and were incredible. Both of us (my wife and I) were not fans of "airbrush" make up going into this. We told Laura this during the trial and she persuaded us to give it a try - that if it's put on right it would not be "cake-y" etc. Well she was absolutely right. We also received that feedback at the wedding. Some of our friends who had the same thoughts about airbrush were now sold after seeing Laura and Kelly's work.

Laura worked with a variety of different make-up preferences for my bridal party and didn't miss a beat. She was personable and made everyone including my mom feel at ease. The results were awesome. We received so many compliments at the wedding and after about our make-up!

Kelly handled the second bride, Amy and bridal party. Again, same results. The girls and Amy's mom could not say how enough how happy they were with the makeup. And to top it off, she saved the day... literally. Moments before the limo came to pick them up, a faulty zipper on one of the bridesmaid's dresses completely broke, leaving a gaping hole in the back of her dress with no zipper.

Panic and hysteria would have ensued, except Kelly informed the group that she is a seamstress on top of her many other talents. They gave her a thread and needle and she quickly and effectively sewed together where the zipper should have been. You could not tell there was a broken zipper and literally she saved the day (The bridesmaid's husband was later able to successfully cut her out of the dress:)

Anyway, all that being said we'd give Laura and Kelly 10 stars if we could. Thank you for making our day better than we ever imagined.

I can't say enough good things about Larissa! I was nervous and stressed as I had two hair trials with another salon that did not turn out well, and was about a month away from my wedding. I read the reviews on Larissa and took a chance hoping that I would be happier. Larissa blew me away with her talent and after my trial I was so excited that I had found her as she made me hair look beyond what I had even hoped for. Not only is she incredibly talented, she is responsive and very organized with her clients. On the day of she arrived with ample time and stayed until the very end to ensure I was happy with everything. She was very detailed and meticulous which I really appreciated. Larissa did my hair as well as a bridesmaid and flower girl, all girls loved their hair and it stayed in all night through our crazy dance moves :) I did not have Larissa do my makeup as I had found a stylist before I met her, but would not hesitate to have her do it all. I'm so happy I found her and wish I had met with her first!! Don't waste your time researching anyone else, she is the best!

Larissa Lake and team were amazing from start to finish! I wanted to coordinate the hair and makeup trial with my engagement photo shoot, but the weather would not cooperate. LLMUA was beyond flexible thank goodness. Larissa ended up doing my hair trial, even though Jess was booked for my wedding. Larissa was confident that Jess could easily replicate the look, but took a bunch of photos to send to Jess just to be sure. Larissa was so sweet, I'll admit I was a little sad she wouldn't be there on the day of the wedding! Laura did my makeup trial and was booked for the day of as well. Laura was fantastic. She's extremely talented and makes you feel so comfortable throughout the whole process. Laura did an awesome job on the bridal party, myself and even my mom! Our makeup lasted the entire night and looks amazing in the photos. Jess was responsible for all of our hair on the day of and I can't believe how great everyone looked. She did such a fantastic job and somehow even convinced my mom to wear her hair UP (she never wears it like that!) which looked gorgeous. Jess and Laura were such sweethearts, but so professional and timely. The day was so relaxed because of them and we all had fun in the process. The best part was that all of the girls danced like crazy and still looked fabulous at the end of the night! Thank you LLMUA- you ladies are truly amazing!

Steph and Melanie were AMAZING - they made me and my bridal party feel like rock stars on the big day. They were skilled, professional, easy going and FUN - they listened to all our suggestions and made sure everyone looked and felt their best. Words can't express how impressed I was with Larissa and her team...from the trial to the day of, I knew that my girls and I were in good hands! Jess and Laura did our hair and makeup and they did an AMAZING job! My mother in law was nervous about her makeup being done because she didn't want to "not look like herself" and Laura was so accommodating every step of the way. Jess was creative in her updos as 2/5 girls getting their hair done came in and said "do whatever you want" and they were thrilled with how it turned out. They both were more than willing to put up with our tweaks that we wanted for each service and were completely professional (and fun to be around as well!).

Thanks again for making us look beautiful on my wedding day!

Shauntell did an AMAZING airbrush makeup for me. It stayed on all day and night it was perfect. The wedding was outside and humid but makeup stay flawless. Will absolutely have her do it again for another event. Again I can't say enough of how happy I was with it!
