Where to begin! Hire MARCY!

We booked La Playa originally for our May 1, 2020 wedding which ended up being rescheduled 2x due to Covid, and the venue was extremely flexible about this which was comforting. We did have a few new coordinators throughout that time due to changes to the team, but ended up with Marcy in the end, which was a blessing! She made sure all details were straightened out and was always transparent with us. Y’all, Marcy was out scraping seaweed from the wedding beach site just to make it look perfect - can you get more thoughtful than that?? I was also able to make a rain call and stuck with my gut to stay outside, and LaPlaya was flexible with that. The only recommendation I would say to new brides is ask if you can get your left over cake slices ahead of time and ask if you can have wedding cake sit out just a bit longer because our wedding guests were so busy on the dance floor! Overall La Playa is special to us and was always our #1 pick and the venue is beautiful. We will come back for anniversary’s for sure! (p.s La Playa, couples who got married there, rate incentive?? wink wink! Truly was the best day!

The wedding experience of our dreams!

My husband and I had our wedding at LaPlaya in November 2024 and had the most incredible experience! We worked with Betsy and from start to finish we were so impressed by her industry knowledge, professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond to make our day so perfect.

We had our ceremony on the Gulf Lawn, which was the perfect beach-adjacent spot without having to be feet-in-sand. This past hurricane season was not easy on LaPlaya and the larger Naples area -- Hurricanes Helene and Milton brought a fair share of damage to the area and its residents and recovery efforts are still underway. We initially anticipated moving our ceremony indoors due to the storms, but LaPlaya went above and beyond to expedite the resort recovery process, and we received the amazing news several weeks before our date that we would be able to go forward with a lawn ceremony as initially planned. Throughout this process, Betsy and the LaPlaya team kept in clear communication with us and reassured us that choosing LaPlaya was the right choice.

We loved everything about our LaPlaya wedding - the food was amazing, the views of course cannot be beat, and the guest rooms and bridal suites were seriously something out of a magazine. We will be reliving our wedding weekend over and over and have Betsy and the entire LaPlaya team to thank for that. Final advice for anyone looking to plan a beautiful Naples beachfront wedding, make sure to put LaPlaya at the top of your list!

Treated like Royalty!

We had an amazing experience at LaPlaya - our hotel blocks were seamless, our rehearsal dinner was absolutely beautiful and the Sunday brunch was so perfect and delish. We had high winds for our welcome party and without missing a beat Marcy (our coordinator) helped us with an alternative option by the bay which turned out to be AMAZING. LaPlaya staff is top notch and you will be treated like royalty. Thank you for a magical weekend we'll never forget!

Dream Wedding

Marcy and the entire staff at La Playa made our day a dream and a breeze. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating the entire weekend we were there. The food was amazing, the drinks were amazing and the venue is so so beautiful. I would highly recommend La Playa for your wedding!

Dream Venue

LaPlaya is an amazing place to vacation and an absolutely beautiful resort. We visit here every year and my now husband proposed at LaPlaya so it only made sense to have our intimate wedding there. Jane was our coordinator and made it so stress free and an amazing weekend. She worked with all our vendors to make sure that everything timed out right and it was the perfect day. She went above and beyond with back up plans since florida's weather can be unpredictable, she thought of everything. I can't thank her enough for giving us the most special weekend ever!

Perfect Venue!!

LaPlaya Golf and Beach Resort was the perfect venue for our wedding on 6/1/19. We worked closely with Betsy throughout the planning process and she was incredibly kind and helpful! We had our rehearsal dinner on the terrace, our ceremony and cocktail hour were on the gulf lawn, our reception was in the bayview ballroom, and our brunch was by the north pool. Every event went so smoothly and we couldn't have asked for a better location to host our wedding weekend! The food was amazing and the staff were all so friendly and wonderful! We had Maggie at all of our events of the weekend and everyone absolutely loved her!! LaPlaya is so breathtakingly beautiful and I'm so happy that it is now the backdrop in all of my wedding photos! All of our guests loved LaPlaya - they were even talking about coming back next year for a reunion! I would highly recommend LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort to everyone!!

Absolutely amazing venue!

LaPlaya was the perfect place to have our wedding. We got married on 3/16/19 and everything went so smoothly. Betsy was extremely helpful throughout the entire planning process. We had a beautiful ceremony and cocktail hour on Gulf Lawn, our reception in the ballroom and the food and service was outstanding! Our out of town guests had an amazing stay at LaPlaya, which made it extra special it is something they are still talking about! We love LaPlaya and we are so happy with our decision, I highly recommend it to anyone for the most gorgeous wedding venue!

Picture Perfect Venue with an Amazing Staff

We just had our wedding at LaPlaya and it could have not have went more perfectly. The staff had a huge part to do with that. The staff provided great service for all of our guests and the wedding party throughout our long weekend. Betsy, our catering events manager, was outstanding, extremely detailed, and helped to make for a seamless wedding. Our guests couldn't stop telling us how beautiful everything was!

Karen Marchand and the team at LaPlaya did an exceptional job with my daughter in law and son's wedding on May 26, 2018! Karen and her team are thorough and professional, offering great advice along the way! Karen possesses a calm, reassuring demeanor, which makes her an absolute dream to work with! We had so much fun with the planning and the actual event!! We did not have the picture perfect Naples weather we were hoping for, but had chosen LaPlaya in part for their beautiful space in the event of bad weather! Our day was perfect because of the choice! The food was truly outstanding, definitely on a level beyond usual a banquet food, and the service impeccable!! We also were able to capture beautiful photos in various gorgeous spots throughout the property in spite of the weather!! We highly recommend LaPlaya!!!

We can't say enough great things about La Playa Hotel and the team that helped us plan our wedding. The facilities are beautiful, the food was great, and the team was accommodating, friendly and made our day completely stress-free. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would!

LaPlaya was wonderful and we couldn't have asked for a better group of people to work with! After hurricane Irma hit in September Karen was constantly keeping us updated with renovations. The LaPlaya staff and Karen all worked hard to make everything perfect for us on our big day! Unfortunately it was raining the day of but everything was still gorgeous. They let us bring sand from the beach to the veranda so we could still "get married with our toes in the sand." Everything was absolutely perfect and we couldn't have asked for anything more!!

There is so much good to say about LaPlaya and our catering manager Betsy Moffitt that I don't even know where to begin. My now-hubby and I searched up and down the east and west coasts of Florida for a venue for our October 14th wedding. LaPlaya checked off every box and Betsy absolutely sealed the deal with her calm demeanor, knowledge, and responsiveness.

Fast forward to a month before our wedding when Hurricane Irma came right through Naples! My husband and I had just moved to Alabama from South Florida and were suddenly finalizing a "destination" wedding and didn't know what would become of our wedding day.

Despite LaPlaya being closed to guests (even through today!), Betsy never abandoned us. We had our hearts set on LaPlaya and we were unable to find a new venue. Betsy worked with us and her manager and since it was only the beach side of the resort that was affected, LaPlaya agreed to still host our reception in their bayside ballroom. We also opted for a beach ceremony instead of the Gulf Lawn. Betsy then helped us to move all of our guest rooms to another resort down the street - she literally took care of the entire swap, I just had to notify my guests of the change.

My husband and I showed up at LaPlaya 2 days before our wedding when we got into town and did a walk-through of the LaPlaya property with Betsy. There were gardeners out replanting and cleaning up Lantern Lane. There were workers cleaning up the pool deck. Betsy brought in plants to camouflage the construction.

The day of the wedding, you'd barely know LaPlaya was closed, let alone recovering from a major hurricane. The beach ceremony was beautiful (and we had it to ourselves!), Lantern Lane was perfect, and the Ballroom was pristine. The service was superb! We truly could not have asked for a better weekend, hurricane and all!

Where do I even begin? Our April 22nd wedding at La Playa Beach & Golf Resort was more than perfect. It was surreal. and Melanie Dorcy, social catering manager, made our April 22nd wedding an absolute dream for my husband and I, our parents, and all of our guests. Our ceremony took place on the spectacular Gulf Lawn just before sunset, then our reception was held in the ballroom overlooking the harbor. We credit our wedding's success to our social catering manager, Melanie Dorcy, who worked closely (and compassionately) with us over the last six months. She was an incredible resource for vendor recommendations and other various considerations as she helped us plan our Naples wedding from Kansas City. She was incredibly responsive to my very frequent emails, and accommodated all of our specific catering and bar requests. On the wedding day, Melanie managed the vendors and our very energetic family with grace and poise. Her management style allowed my husband and I to thoroughly enjoy our wedding day. We had not a single worry.

Important to mention this. If top-notch cuisine is important to you on your wedding day, look no further than La Playa for your event. The salad, filet and grouper entree, and our other menu selections were absolutely divine and beautifully plated. The service was impeccable, as well. Two weeks have passed and I still cannot believe that that was OUR wedding! The whole experience was spectacular.

We, along with our immediate families and many guests, stayed at the resort for the weekend and had a ball playing on the beach and at the lovely pool. The hotel was flexible as we added and subtracted guests from our room block.

I could go on, but I will end here. We would highly recommend La Playa for a beautiful, elegant, classic Florida wedding you and your guests will never forget.

From start to finish LaPlaya was amazing. Betsy Moffitt is the person we worked wth for my daughter's reception, and she is the BEST! She is so calm, follows through on every little detail, always got right back to me within minutes, has impeccable taste, and is a true delight to work with -- she completely takes the "stress" away from you and creates the most magical event. I had always heard the food at the Laplaya receptions was outstanding, and our tasting certainly was, but wondered how it would be for over two hundred people. The appetizers on the lawn were delicious and gobbled up by our guests and the entrées in the ballroom were presented beautifully, prepared perfectly and equally delicious. The Chef is amazing, it is so nice not to have to worry about anything, and that's what you get when you work with Betsy and her entire staff at LaPlaya.

I had my destination wedding at LaPlaya in October and it truly was the wedding of my dreams! Everyone at LaPlaya is so nice and accommodating and easy to work with. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and the food is DELICIOUS. I would pick LaPlaya ten times over again and would recommend to anybody getting married in the Naples area. What a gorgeous wedding!

We got married at LaPlaya earlier this month. We used them for our ceremony as well as reception space. Words can't describe the experience these people made possible. Everything was perfect from start to finish. There's not one thing I can think of that was not absolutely perfect. From the bellmen, valet, receptionist, bartender, concierge (and so many more) to our Catering Manager Melanie every single person was an absolute pleasure to work with.

La Playa is a beautiful and relaxing venue for a wedding. We had a rehearsal dinner on the beach and the ceremony on the lawn. The lawn is lushly landscaped and the ballroom across the street has a wide verandah that overlooks the water; all beautiful. Our Event Coordinator, Melanie, was awesome and when we our Pastor couldn't perform the ceremony, she found someone else who did a wonderful job. Melanie was extremely helpful with all the details as well.

The LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort was everything I imagined for my beautiful wedding day. My guests had a great time, the staff was attentive and helpful and everything went as planned. To top things off my floral and decorator Dream Occasions Studio made everything just as I imagined. I was also lucky to have one truly best photographers in Florida Alfredo from Couture Bridal Photography from Fort Lauderdale. So my day went without a hitch at the best venue for a wedding, that was decorated amazingly and I have the memories of my wedding day with amazing photography from the best in photography. I recommend the LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort, Dream Occasions Studio and Couture Bridal Photography for anyone planning a wedding in the Naples area and definitely Dream Occasions and Couture Bridal Photography for any wedding anywhere!

We chose to have our destination wedding at LaPlaya. Betsy and her team did an amazing job. From the first call through the final departure they expertly handled everything. Due to this we had a stress free wedding and we were able to enjoy our time with our friends and family. All of the staff from the front desk to the poolside/beach staff are very kind, professional and courteous. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking and the food is fresh and delicious. We also hosted a cocktail reception on the day all of our guests arrived and a farewell brunch. Again everything was phenomenal. We want to thank Betsy again for everything. She was a great pleasure to work with. No question/concern that we had was left unanswered and she was also there checking in to make sure everything was to the highest standards. She also coordinated meetings with our florist/day of coordinator Steven Bowles to facilitate the decor and planning process. We can't thank her enough for making our special weekend perfect. We highly recommend LaPlaya as the venue for your wedding. You will not be disappointed.

I am not sure how I can ever thank Melanie at the Laplaya!!! We just came home from having our sons wedding there. From the very beginning Melanie was always there to help me plan and organize everything we needed to have a beautiful wedding. I had so many questions and planning a destination wedding from another state could have been very stressful. I had NO STRESS at all. Melanie took care of all the details, was always easy to talk to and get ahold of,which was so comforting to me. The wedding details were perfect and the wedding was perfect. The service and extra special care from Melanie is so greatly appreciated. The room was beautiful, the food was absolutely delicious! Melanie, our wedding planner at the resort, was FABULOUS. She was on top of everything and personable. She was calm and collected and professional. The resort itself was unbelievable...from the front desk staff to the pool-side staff, employees were happy and made you feel important. They open doors and ask how they can help. My husband and I think the LaPlaya is how a 5-star hotel should be ran. We couldn't have chosen a better place for our wedding and reception for our destination wedding.

LaPlaya came through PERFECTLY! If you get a chance to work with Melanie, she makes all your dreams come true. We could not have asked for a better event planner. She reply's to you within minutes! I swear at times there had to have been 2 of her with all that she handled! We don't know how she does it. There was no stress and she took care of all the details. My husband and i had decided to do a wedding on Vanderbilt Beach. After some research of my own i found Laplaya Golf and Resort. We wanted to stay within a certain budget but have an intimate wedding of 30 people. This we got! I worked with Melanie the hotel wedding coordinator. Not sure if that's her exact passion there but she did a fabulous job always keeping things on track and keeping everyone on time. She communicates very well and is very responsive to your needs. We also worked with Gail would sealed the deal,, marrying us on that beautiful Sunday. Gail was also a pleasure to work with and very professional. She was so easy going and made things simple for us with the vowels and legal stuff;-). I can't say enough about the staff involved. We did the brunch venue to make it more simple for our guest. The food was fantastic many of our guest had expressed to me, and the service was on point and curtious. We had some issues with the sun moving on us so we had to move the table umbrellas to keep from getting roasted. The food/outdoor staff immediately responded to this and helped move the tables into shadier areas. The food staff was a lot very polite and helpful. The reception ended around 3:30pm and some of our guest were still enjoying them selves by 3:50,,,and they didn't try to push them out;-). I guess that's a good party! That was the ceremony/reception part of it. We also had 10 rooms booked for our guest. Our guest loved their rooms, and most of them were upgraded for free due to their availability that weekend. So that added some extra enjoyment out of our families Laplaya experience. The views are amazingly breathtaking! My husband and i had a fabulous room and they surprised us with rose peddles on the bed and a bottle of champagne with chocolate covered strawberries. Everyone at this hotel was exceptionally polite and responsive. I highly recommend for your special day. Thank you Laplaya!

I honestly dont even know where to start my review. La Playa is the PERFECT place to get married. Karen was our wedding coordinator and she just OUTSTANDING beyond words! She kept in touch with me the whole year I was planning, whenever I emailed her she got back to me right away, always returned my calls, was so patient with me and my grandma's requests and did everything in her power to make sure we had the most perfect and special day. She truly went above and beyond for us and we love her for that! We were suppose to get married on the gulf lawn but got married on the windiest day ever and had to change our location to across the street on the terrace an hour before. She was SO great about it along with the other staff. Renee who also helped out during the night of our wedding so was SO attentive and always checking in on us. The ceremony location, cocktail hour (terrace) and reception (Vanderbilt ballroom) were all stunning!!! We also stayed in their suites that friday and saturday and it was just amazing. The suites are BEAUTIFUL! All of us girls and guys got ready in our own suites and it was so calm and relaxing. La Playa goes out of their way to make you feel special and they make sure you have the best day of your life. I would not have gotten married ANYWHERE else. Thank you for everything!

We started our wedding planning with LaPlaya 7 months prior to our wedding date. LaPlaya provided us with a guide that helped us find vendors for the wedding. This was extremely helpful when planning a destination wedding. We loved all of our vendors chosen!!! LaPlaya was a perfect setting for the wedding we both dreamed about. Our guest had a blast and want to do a repeat of it every year. :) I voted yes for that!!

If you love the beach and want to offer a special place for your guest, LaPlaya is second to NONE.

We were fans of LaPlaya before we got engaged, so when the time came to look for our venue we didn't bother to look anywhere else.

Before booking them we always received top notch quality services at their beautiful hotel. And that was exactly what we got for our wedding. Melanie Delanie was there with every answer we needed. If I had to do it again I will book LaPlaya in a heartbeat.

Simply an awesome location for our destination wedding. The weekend began with a rehearsal/welcome reception held at the north pool. The BBQ buffet and ice cream sundae bar were perfect. Guests used the pool and hot tub. Our lawn ceremony and cocktail hour needed to be switched at the last moment due to a late afternoon thunderstorm. Betsy was fabulous and made the switch without hesitation. Our guests enjoyed the cocktails and appetizers on the terrace. The sunset ceremony took place on the gulf lawn complete with a double rainbow and spectacular sunset. The ballroom was amazing as we were introduced as was the food and service. The resort took great care of all of our guests as well. We could not have asked for a better venue. Betsy and her staff are top notch and so easy to work with. We recommend LaPlaya enthusiastically and would definitely use this venue again. We can't wait to go back.

We had our wedding at La Playa and blocked 40 rooms off for our guests. We have never been so pleased with a hotel! Their services were top notch and they were able to accommodate anything we needed the entire week! They are so professional and we would thumbs up La Playa to anyone for a wedding reception or party!

Exceptional!!!! I had the best experience with Laplaya...We were very pleased with EVERYTHING!!! Julie our coordinator was exceptional. I couldnt have made it through the planning and all the extra stress without her. She treated us as though we were her friends/family. She took care of all our needs and went above and beyond to do things that were not even part of her job duties. She truly helped make our experience with Laplaya a memoriable one. We had a beautiful ceremony and recpetion soley due to Julie. I will forever be grateful to Julie for all she did for us. Laplay is a great place to get married the location and ambiance is spectaculer but working with someone like Julie just adds a special touch to it. Its a bit costly but well worth the money. All our guest are still talking about what a beautiful wedding we had. We are very please and already have plans to renew our weding vows there...some day :-)

I wish I could give La Playa 10 stars, the service, location, venue, food and drink were a perfect 10. Melanie Delaney was my main point of contact from my very first visit and was with me every step of the way all the way until I walked down the aisle. Planning a large wedding (175 people) from Chicago can be very stressful but Melanie and her staff made it a breeze. No request was too big or too small and she was extremely responsive responding to my emails within minutes in most cases!

We had a big welcome BBQ on the north lawn Friday night and the setting was picture perfect with the sun setting in the background but the food, drinks and service made it outstanding. Despite a large group the staff at La Playa were flawless and made sure all of my guests were taken care.

Saturday our Ceremony/cocktail hour was a dream and the Vanderbilt ballroom was the perfect setting to dance the night away.

All weekend my guests kept talking about the venue and the service they received. Everyone was treated like royalty and La Playa took care of everything that I never had to worry.

You will not regret choosing La Playa for your venue. I wish I could do it all over it again.... It was that perfect!!!

Our wedding coordinator, Karen, was exceptional. She was flexible, creative, and calm. She could be a good mental health therapist. Weddings can be stressful, she is the perfect anecdote.

We interviewed four properties and our daughter chose LaPlaya for the venue of her wedding. We were very happy with her choice! Our guests were impressed with the property in every respect. The high level of service and friendliness of the staff were outstanding. The rooms, food, and intimate luxurious vibe of the property set LaPlaya apart from the Ritz and the Waldorf. We worked with Karen Marchand at LaPlaya and found Karen to be very professional and easy to work with. We visited all the major wedding spots in the area, both beach and golf Ritz, the Waldorf, and a few others, and immediately knew La Playa was the only place we wanted to get married. Everything was incredibly beautiful, more amazing than I could have imagined. The bridal suite overlooked the wedding so we were able to watch the guests come in and be seated. The lawn was absolutely beautiful with rose petals, by the beach and setting sun. The reception was across the street in a ballroom that opens to a veranda that overlooks Naples Bay. The entire thing was breathtaking. Karen was amazing to work with. The food was incredible. The service was outstanding. Our guests still rave about how beautiful our wedding was. I wouldn't change anything!

What a beautiful place to get married. From the planning of the date to the tasting to the actual day, everything was flawless with Melanie. She was a pleasure to work with and made the day stress and hassle free. Everything was just done without blinking an eye. The guests raved about the food at the reception and the accommodations were discounted for out of town guests. They had every need covered no matter what it was. No matter what the price was, I would pick La Playa over and over again for a wonderful experience for having a wedding even above and beyond the Ritz. Soooo glad that we didn't choose that venue. Kudos to Melanie at La Playa for a wonderful wedding day. Couldnt have done it without her.

LaPlaya is the most amazing resort to have your wedding. I truly don't have one complaint. It is magical. The resort is pristine, the rooms are gorgeous, the view is breathtaking, and the service is impeccable. They got us great room rates so we were able to have 120 guests attend the wedding and most came down for the weekend and had the best time. I am still getting emails from guess saying they had the best time!
Not only is the resort amazing, but I was lucky enough to have Melanie Delaney as my Social Catering Manager and I can't say enough about her. We spoke on the phone weekly, sometimes daily, throughout the whole year leading up to my wedding. She is the most amazing planner. She was so helpful, especially since it was a destination wedding. She took care of everything! I only had to fly down once to pick out photographer, florist, hair and makeup, and DJ. Melanie took care of everything else. She even referred the other vendors to me and all of them were amazing. I can't say enough about her. She went above and beyond to make sure I had the perfect wedding. If I were to do it over there isn't one thing I change. Thank you LaPlaya and Melanie for giving me the wedding of my dreams!

So happy I found this beautiful venue. We had our ceremony on the south lawn near the beach and reception in the Bay view ballroom. Everything was amazing and much more then I had already expected. I just recently had my wedding at La Playa Beach and Golf Resort. Since it was a destination wedding we booked La Playa before we even got a chance to visit. La Playa did not disappoint. Everything was amazing. Julie Germer was our coordinator from La Playa and I can't say enough wonderful things about her. She was amazing to work with throughout the process. Julie made planning a destination wedding so much easier then I could have imagined. She is organized, professional, and always made me feel at ease. I had no doubt that the wedding would run smoothly and it did!

Thank you to all of the wonderful staff at La Playa that made our wedding so memorable. The service is top notch and worth every penny we spent. The food is amazing and our guests raved about their meal. Our friends and family who traveled from all over had a great time at the wedding and a wonderful stay at the resort.

I recently was married at La playa beach abs and gulf resort...I literally had my dream wedding!! The catering manager Julie was SO amazing!!!! She made me feel like my wedding was always first priority!! She was so unbelievably easy to work with and I had no stress when planning my destination wedding!! We booked La Playa 6 months out and worked with Julie in the months leading up to our wedding. She was tremendously helpful, and her attention to detail was greatly appreciated. As the date approached we learned that Juile wouldn't be available during our ceremony, however she introduced us to Robert a few weeks in advance of our wedding, and he too was very professional. Both Julie and Robert put us at ease each time we talked because they were very organized, consistently prepared, and genuinely interested in making our event wonderful. They were flexible every step of the way, and they allowed us make changes all the way up to the day of the wedding. In addition, we found the various other staff at La Playa very courteous and helpful throughout the day. They also coordinated efforts with our vendors, which made life easier.

The ceremony took place on the beach, and La Playa had everything set up two hours ahead of time. They also greeted our guests, helped with all issues that arose, and guided the wedding party accordingly to ensure everything went smoothly. That was followed by our lunch reception on the lawn, and that too went off without a hitch. The food was spectacular, and the service was top notch. Finally our package included a night at the resort and the room provided was absolutely breathtaking.

Leading up to the wedding we had heard great reviews firsthand from a few other people who had weddings at La Playa, and we have to say that the resort didn't disappoint. Compared to other local, quality resorts the overall price was competitive, particularly given the intimate, beachside venue. It wasn't cheap, but it wasn't overly expensive either and the resort was negotiable. Overall it was well worth the money.

All in all the people at La Playa treated us like family, and we couldn't have asked for more. It was literally a dream come true, and we would highly recommend it.

La Playa is gorgeous and the perfect setting for a wedding. When I was searching for venues I had a whole day of places lined up with La Playa being the first and after going there I had my mind made up! La Playa was it, no need to look anywhere else! La Playa has is small hotel feel while still having the 5 star vibe. I had my wedding on the lawn which is a great alternative because its right next to the beach so you have the views and the setting without sinking in the sand. We were suppose to have my cocktail hour on the beach to watch sunset but due to rain it was moved to the balcony of the ballroom which is covered from the rain but still has amazing views of a marina. The food at my wedding was BY FAR the BEST food I have had at a wedding EVER! People are still talking about how amazing all the food was. I served Filet and Grouper(the grouper I changed to a mango chutney because I did not like the butter sauce they served with it at the tasting and it was AMAZING! ) It was great that the chef was willing to work with me and change things to my liking. My wedding planner at La Playa (Karen) was also top notch and everything ran smoothly which is quite an accomplishment being that we had to move my wedding up 1.5 hours due to expected rain and change the location of the ceremony and cocktail hour. My only warning is that they hold A LOT of weddings. I lucked out that my wedding was the only wedding there that night but it is possible that you could have another wedding right next door to yours. My recommendation is to not book in their busy season. Overall, I was completely overwhelmed and impressed by the service, the ambiance, the food, and everything La Playa has to offer and I am looking forward to returning on vacation.

Melanie was an absolute joy to work with; we loved her engaging spirit and high level of energy. After our first meeting, I was completely at ease. I knew that no matter what, Melanie would go above and beyond to make our wedding perfect. Throughout the preparation for the wedding, Melanie was always available to us. We really wanted to let you all know how truly wonderful our entire experience was and how absolutely impressed and amazed we were by all of their wonderful staff! Words cannot express how perfect, kind and awesome everyone was! They made the entire stay and wedding better than perfect for us, and our family and friends! From start to finish, everything about LaPlaya was top notch! Starting with Julie Germer (my coordinator from LapPlaya! She always made me feel like I was her only bride and always her top priority! She is the most amazing women to work with!! She was always so helpful and so sweet! I could not have ever done this wedding without her! Her attention to every last detail and her ability it make it happen was just incredible! I cannot say enough wonderful things about how great she and her fabulous staff made our wedding!

The entire staff from the bell boys and valet, to the tiki bar and beach staff were incredible! There was nothing that any of them wouldn't have done to make our time there as perfect as possible! Just amazing people! Everyone one of them! I wish I had more room to write this letter cause I could go on and on about each person and all the extra things they did to make the entire experience more than we ever hoped for!

When we left the resort and said goodbye to the staff we truly felt like we were saying goodbye to friends. Words can never really explain the magical time we all got to share at the resort! Planning a wedding is a big job. Planning a destination wedding and doing everything sight unseen adds another layer of complexity and anxiety. Planning my wedding from MD was made so much easier with the help of Melanie at La Playa. She was friendly, prompt, funny, and incredible with recommendations. I trusted her implicitly and relied on her so much throughout our wedding planning. The resort was gorgeous and we were so amazed by how easily everything went. The food turned out so delicious and our guests still rave about the food and comment how lucky we were that it was so good, not having done a taste test before. All of the staff at La Playa was friendly and welcoming from the valet staff to the spa staff. We got married on the North Beach and had our reception (72 people) at the North Pool. it was incredible--again, our guests are still raving about it. We had a destination wedding of 90 guests at LaPlaya and it was WONDERFUL! We thought our wedding was just perfect. LaPlaya was great at accommodating all of my guests who flew to Naples from all over the world. The staff was extremely friendly. The ballroom was beautiful, the rooms with the beach view was just what we wanted. The best part was Melanie, the social catering manager that was in charge of our wedding. She is LOVELY and super helpful. She made it so easy and she always said YES to everything. She went above and beyond and exceeded all of our expectations!

An exquisite beachfront venue with old world Florida elegance, LaPlaya is a truly superlative resort.

It's also a wonderful location for a destination wedding, because your out-of-town guests can do as ours did: arrive a few days early and enjoy a mini vacation, complete with poolside cabanas, relaxing on the beach, enjoying drinks at the tiki bar, having a spa retreat, or golfing. I held my bridesmaids' luncheon at Baleen (how often do you find a wedding venue with a five-star restaurant?!), which just added to the feeling of a decadent wedding weekend.

Our ceremony and cocktail hour were scheduled to be held on the North Beach, followed by a reception in the Vanderbilt Ballroom. Despite the rain that was in the forecast, LaPlaya obligingly set up our ceremony on the sand. When the rain did come shortly after the end of the ceremony, the resort didn't miss a beat in swiftly and efficiently moving the cocktail hour to the covered terrace outside the ballroom. Here are a few examples of how far LaPlaya's staff went out of their way for us: they tailored their cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres to my Indian heritage and my husband's Cuban heritage; when my earring fell out just before our grand entrance to the reception, Karen, the Director of Catering, sent someone to find me a new earring back; the banquet captain at the reception tended to our every need, including cold towels after we'd been dancing; and when we returned to our bridal suite at the end of the night, LaPlaya had scattered our bed with rose petals and sent up a bottle of champagne along with a card wishing us well in our new life.

Bottom line? If you are looking for an upscale beach resort wedding, get married at LaPlaya.

We got married at the La Playa Beach & Golf Resort. We are from New York and visited the Resort before the wedding and it was everything we expected. The pictures on-line were no disappointment to what the resort looked like in person. Betsy worked with us until after the ceremony and she was so wonderful. We are so happy that we chose LaPlaya to be our venue for our Reception site! Everyone at LaPlaya were so easy to work with! With mostly worked with Karen, the Dir. Of Catering....she took us from point A to Z throughout whole entire planning process. She is extremely professional and so very nice!

On our first day there, we already knew what we wanted our wedding menu to be!
Karen set up a meeting with the Chef and he prepared our special menu perfectly! The food was made exactly how we wanted it! We couldn't of been happier!

Our guest stayed at LaPlaya and absolutely loved it! Even guest that lived in town booked a room and said it was just a great place to have a weekend vacation!

The cocktail hour was held on the Gulf Lawn until the sun set, and then guest were escorted over to the Bay side into the Vanderbilt Ballroom. The ballroom is GORGEOUS and all of our guest loved it!!

For an amazing venue, staff, and DELICIOUS food, look no further: LaPlaya is it!

I did not have a wedding planner and I did everything myself, but with the help of my amazing cooridinators at LaPlaya and staff I didn't need one anyway. They will work with your budget and it doesn't hurt to ask any and all questions, bc they have and will find the answers for you. We also stayed there the night after in the amazing bridal suite, on the 13th floor and all I could see from the doorway is the big blue ocean! We had our reception in the ballrooms across the street that has a grand terrace looking at the bay water. Everyone said it was the best food and how beautiful it was too. I give this place 5 Diamonds! Thank you La Playa! And of course Betsy!! For all of your help and efforts 24/7.

My Reception was held at the LaPlaya Golf Club. It was so beautiful. The staff was so helpful and during the planning stage, called me every other week just to check up and say Hi! I was very happy with the finished product. Anne, Dining Room Manager, and Chef Cheryl did everything from arranging the tables just as I scribbled them out, to remembering to send my new husband and I on our way with a chilled bottle of bubbly to continue our evening at the hotel! IT WAS PERFECT! Everything was priced below what I had imagined. An awesome deal for waht we got in return! BRAVA!!

We are so happy we chose LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort for our February wedding. It was one of the best decisions we made in our entire wedding planning process. Karen and her team at LaPlaya were exceptionally professional, flexible, competent and patient. The ceremony and reception were absolutely beautiful; the food was delicious; and the service was top-notch. LaPlaya is a gorgeous resort that puts a priority on hosting beautiful weddings. We couldn't recommend LaPlaya more!

La Playa Beach and golf resort offered everything we wanted for our wedding: beachfront location, boutique feel hotel, and poolside dinner.
The staff is incredibly professional and service was outstanding for our guests and ourselves. Our coordinator, Julie Germer was organized, professional and so lovely to work with. We had an endless stream of emails and she didn't miss a detail! We had a poolside buffet dinner and we were able to customize our choices off of all the menus. Everything was delicious and our guests gave us many compliments. The grounds are beautiful and offered many great picture options from the beach, the lobby and ivy and lantern lane. I personally don't love the ballrooms here but if you have most of your event outside it's really elegant. My guests commented on how they enjoyed the 3 locations for our event: cocktail hour on the lawn, poolside dinner, and dancing inside the ballroom. The only drawback is the site fee. If you are having at least 100 ppl it's not so bad but for a small event like mine it significantly increases my per person cost.

Perfect day! I had always knew I would get married on Vanderbilt beach in my hometown of Naples. It was between the Ritz and LaPlaya, and I'm so happy I chose the right place! The service at LaPlaya is five star five diamond but without the commercial chain atmosphere. I wanted to rest assured with the "tried and true" dynamics of a luxury chain, but I didn't want to feel like a number or have other weddings the day of my big day. LaPlaya provided both.

Melanie was my catering manager and she is fantastic, really cares about what is going on with your day and takes the time to work with you and get to know you as a person, not just as her client.

The food was fantastic. People are still mentioning it. The venue is beautiful, and the service went off without a hitch. I am hard to please and also notorious for being a hotel snob, but this venue was impeccable. Four stars for value because this is not a tight budget venue and does not portend to be, but you get what you pay for, and I think the value was excellent - a small price to pay for the wedding of your dreams!

The service at La Playa was absolutely impeccable! I received so many compliments on how beautiful the site and location was. The staff throughout the whole day was phenomenal. Our event coordinator from the hotel, Melanie was also very helpful!

LaPlaya is truly an amazing place. My wedding was a huge success and fairly stress free due to the people that I worked with at the hotel. They were professionals and took care of everything. If you are looking for an upscale beach side venue that isn't pretentious (like the Ritz)- this is the place for you!

La Playa is -hands down- the perfect place to have a destination wedding! We had 60 guests travel great distances to join us for the weekend and everyone just raved about the resort and location. The resort is beautiful, the setting is breathtaking, and the service was impeccable. Everyone from the valets, to the front desk staff, to the banquet captain were friendly and helpful.

We had our rehearsal dinner on the gulf lawn and the wedding ceremony on the beach/ballroom. The sunsets were magical. The food was terrific. There was even another wedding going on the same weekend and they did a great job of keeping the events separate.

I cannot thank Karen Marchand enough for her patience and expertise guiding us through the whole planning process. She was so responsive and friendly; every request was handled quickly and pleasantly. I felt like her priority throughout the whole process even though I'm sure she was dealing with several brides! She truly made the planning so much easier.

The LaPlaya is an amazing place to get married. The resort is beautiful, and the staff is extremely attentive and professional. I worked with Karen, and she was always highly responsive to my questions, and made the process easier for me, especially for being from out of town. Our guests had such a good time, and I could not have picked a better place to get married. Sure, it is a bit pricey I think, but they are also flexible to help you come up with a menu that is aligned to your needs and budget, and the resort is so beautiful, it is all worth it!

La Playa was absolutely the right and best choice for our welcome party and wedding reception. We did not hold our ceremony at La Playa.

We looked at the Ritz, The Naples Beach and Golf Club, the Waldorf and La Playa. The setting at La Playa can't be beat. It is right on the beach and has an old Florida, vintage feel, while being totally updated and luxe.

Melanie Delaney was fantastic! She is a true professional who balances her business savvy with realizing how important this day is to the bride and groom and going out of her way to make sure they get everything they want. She is also fantastic at making recommendations and giving honest and direct feedback on vendors. She was there all weekend and made sure they were executed flawlessly.

I gave a lower rating on value and flexibility. On value, it's only because this is not a cheap place to hold a wedding. You get what you pay for, and to me it was worth every penny. On flexibility, you are somewhat limited by the La Playa menu, chosen cake vendor, linens, chairs etc. However, these were not issues for us. The menu was extensive enough and the food was fantastic. The cake vendor, Ella's cakes, is the best in Naples and the included cake in the package was perfect for us. We brought in all of our own rentals - chairs, linens, table cloths etc. It was one of the most expensive parts of our budget, but it was very important to me. You do not need to bring in extra lighting. The chandeliers and some candle light create the most perfect glow.

Our welcome party on Friday night was at North beach. It was amazing. We brought in a steel pan player, had heaters and food stations. They even created a special signature drink for us. We had lanterns and a show valet leading out to the party. It was the perfect introduction to our wedding.

Finally, all of our guests that stayed at La Playa were very happy with the choice. The resort is so special and I hope your experience is as good as ours!

Great Location! For the price you get high class service, fantastic food, and very accomodating staff! My only complaint would be the event planner left right after dinner was plated... not ideal for what you pay for but it was mostly during dancing so it didnt matter.

La Playa was great. We loved getting married there and the site is gorgeous. Karen is wonderful to work with. One of the priciest places in Naples, but worth every penny because the site is just so gorgeous. Would reccommend it to anyone.

I had my wedding at LaPlaya and it was truly beautiful. The only aspect I would have changed would be the decision to move it indoors during a rain storm. I would have like a bigger voice and option for planning an indoor ceremony in case of rain. Otherwise, the food was incredible, the service was perfect, and so many of my guests have commented on the venue. I would truly recommend LaPlaya to anyone considering a classy beach wedding.

We had a beautiful event and couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting. The food was absolutely amazing! Everyone loved it.
I felt like the cocktail hour food was not as plentiful as I would have liked. What we did have was superb.
The room looked beautiful and the servers were great in general. Be aware that your guests will be carded! Ok I can see that that may be an issue at some weddings but we were never told this and it continued all night. We had a large group of Europeans and they didn't even know what they were being asked. We had only 2 teenagers at our wedding and they were well aware of that from the start. Should have been handled differently. We had prearranged for our own wine to be used and that was all mixed up, but all was really good in the end. Had a weather concern at the start and it was handled beautifully. Our bride (my daughter-in -law) missed out on the lantern alley set up which was disappointing. Overall a gorgeous venue with outstanding food and no better view in all of Naples for a wedding.

I had my destination wedding at La Playa. It is a beautiful venue and definitely has that WOW factor. There were 3 other weddings at La Playa that weekend, so I didn't feel super special and attended to, since there were so many other brides. Also,The food was so-so for how much you pay. We didn't get a lot of compliments on the food. And the only other thing that was kind of a bummer was the wedding coordinator turned on the florescent lights and kicked everyone out of the ballroomroom at 10:25, our reception was supposed to end at 10:30...it was an abrupt way to end our evening. It almost felt like they wanted to get everyone out of their ballroom so the staff could go home. I was a bit ticked about that especially after how much money we were spending. Besides those few things, i'd recommend this beautiful place to anyone planning a destination wedding!!

My wedding at La Playa was pretty good for the most part. Unfortunately we went through 3 wedding coordinators and received some incorrect information throughout the year of planning and miscommunication. I then had issues with billing, either billed in correctly for my wedding planners room, front reception unaware that my wedding and rooms were charged to the master card from the wedding, so we ended up paying the full room and fees at checkout, and then at the massage, my husband is uncomfortable with a full body massage so we asked for only back and shoulders, but they both ended up giving us full body. Other than that, my wedding planner through Runway Events did phenomenal at making sure everyone was on the same page, took care of issues, and my ceremony and reception ended up being fantastic! Betsy with La Playa also stayed with me after my 2 wedding coordinators had quit and she said even if they hired someone, she wouldn't pass me to them. She did a great job with communicating, given all the miscommunication from previous employees.

La Playa is outrageously expensive- more than 300 per person (with alcohol) for dinner and total of 50,000
La playa promised to have a shoe station for guests when they came off the beach-which they did not have on the day of my wedding
La playa promised to have ushers to help guests get to the ballroom-however there were none and all my guests were lost
La Playa is NOT flexible and will not let you change anything if there are ANY issues that arise. EVEN if there is a storm on the beach and you have to move indoors-you will pay 4000 dollars more for the outside space.
On my wedding day my guests didn't want to stay on the beach anymore because it was cold and windy and La Playa did nothing to help the guests or offer them an inside area.
Although it was a beautiful wedding, La Playa did not come through and considering their price this is unacceptable.
Melanie at La Playa is also very rude and hard headed and very difficult to work with.

I had my wedding at La Playa due to the high quality of service they offer. We really liked our wedding planner and decided to go for it. Unfortunately after the wedding planner left and we entered the reception things went down hill. The communication bw the wedding planner and banquet manager was simply not there. Not enough seats for my guests and an UNwillingness to simply accommodate them quickly and move forward. The banquet manager kept approaching me to complain...THE BRIDE! Then, they said there was a few extra guests they had to charge me for (even though I ended 20 people under head count) and they followed me to the BATHROOM and waited for me a outside the door like a probation officer waiting with the papers to be signed to get MORE money! How embarrassing. It was my wedding and I missed so much due to them following me around and making me deal with all of these problems. They couldn't even wait until later, they kept pestering me during the whole reception. How awful. Worst part was...they blamed it all on me! Saying I should have done a better job with counting my guests. So sad, too expensive for this level of professionalism. Don't do it
