Our wedding was planned in approximately 10 months and from the moment I sat down with Melissa at Lakeland BBQ I knew it was the perfect choice for us. First, she was kind, always answered any and all questions we had, no matter how small they were. We met for a tasting (delish!) and fell in love with her even more. In addition, we tasted all the meats and sides for a BBQ buffet. We chose pulled pork, chicken quarters and added brisket. Our 3 sides were mac & cheese, collard greens and potato salad w/ cornbread. They were ALL delicious. Our guests raved about everything and especially the greens! We also opted for a grazing table for our guests. It was beautifully presented and absolutely beautiful and delicious. Our guests were in awe! She even made us our own plate because she knew we were busy talking with our guests. I would highly recommend this caterer! VERY FAIR prices, large portions and happy guests. I am 100% pleased. Thank you Melissa and your amazing staff!! -

Thank you much Lakeland BBQ for an amazing job feeding our guests! We hosted a private house wedding of about 80 people and you made everything so easy. We had a traditional BBQ menu and so glad we added the ribs, they were a hit! Our guests raved about it all. The set up and serving team of Scott, Tommy and Beau were Rockstars. Thank you again Melissa for making everything so simple and perfect, you missed no detail! Perfection! We will absolutely use your service again. -

Friday night 1/24/25 was in the mood for BBQ, had heard about Frost Proof BBQ but never tried it. Highlands County resident, only 1 bbq place in Avon Park. We were the only customers seated at 5:30 pm, food came out quick. My son loved his Big Pig sandwich. The brisket was very yummy. The hashbrown casserole was so good. We will be back - especially when we are in the MOOD for BBQ! -

Frostproof BBQ Company Trip W/ Family
I and group of 10 took a trip to Frostproof BBQ Company yesterday for dinner and it was well worth it. It was pretty slow but our server and the food was awesome… we definitely will be going back! -

Lakeland BBQ was an excellent caterer for our wedding reception. They used fresh, seasonal, local foods and everything was delicious. The table was beautifully put together, and Melissa and Zach were very professional and helpful. They even helped set up our cake table, even though they didn't provide the cake. Overall, this was an excellent experience. -

The photos speak for themself. Melissa is a magician with a grazing table. She went for the full WOW. Everyone was shocked and delighted. I’d also like to point out that they were AFFORDABLE!! Other companies quoted us 3-5x what we were charged by Lakeland BBQ. They were truly fair in their pricing and she was the absolute best from start to finish. The staff was incredible and so attentive to. They have my business for life, from their incredible bbq to their grazing tables I won’t be booking anyone else. -

At first we were unsure about bbq at our wedding but we are so happy we went with Polk city bbq. Their food was delicious and kept our guests going back for more! They had so many options including vegetarian options for our guest. Highly recommend them for your next event! -

Melissa was such a pleasure to work with, she made everything so easy to pick and make sure she knew exactly what we wanted. She also did a charcuterie table for us and it was absolutely incredible. After the wedding all of our guest said how much they loved it and all the food in general. All of their staff at our wedding were great! We are so thankful we trusted Lakeland BBQ for our wedding. We hired them for our wedding for the charcuterie table for cocktail hour and they went ABOVE and beyond. Amazing staff, great to work with and great product delivered! They came through for us in more ways then one. It was a highlight for sure. We’d totally recommend them. -

The biggest rave of the day from our guests came from Lakeland BBQ! They did a massive grazing table for our cocktail hour (at my request and they delivered TENFOLD - it was almost gone by the time of the reception) and we did an Italian buffet for the reception. During the tasting, we absolutely loved loved loveddd their food and tried out all sorts of cuisines they offered. Melissa, the catering manager, was very nice and super helpful throughout the process! All of my guests loved the food and there was plenty of leftovers for our vendors (and us) to take home a few trays. I truly couldn’t be more grateful to have found Lakeland BBQ - they met all of our needs while staying within our budget. I cannot sing their praises enough; they’re a must!
