Lake Tahoe Cakes is amazing. We booked them for our wedding in September and were blown away with the cake.
They were super easy and fun to work with. We had initially gone for a tasting where we met Allison and talked more details. We had so much fun trying all the flavors and chatting. We had initially walked away thinking we were going to do a smaller cake and a dessert bar and when the wedding got closer we totally switched to doing a 4 tier cake! That is a big change and they were so accommodating and patient with us. Our correspondence was mostly all through email and they are always very responsive.
Allison and Lisa, it was really a pleasure to work with you. The cake was beautiful!! Everyone loved it and commented on how amazing it was and it tasted delicious! Matt and I will be forever grateful that you were a part of our day. -

Allison is not only a wonderful human, but an epically talented artist as well. To call her a baker would be an extreme understatement. She is a wizard of wedding cakes and will give you something beyond your imagination. As a Wedding Planner, I know that your wedding cake is a focal point of your day and we trusted NO ONE ELSE. Her cakes are not just cake, they are pieces of ART. She created the most stunning wedding cake we could have dreamed of. Our inspiration was tweaked and perfected it into something unique and custom just for us. She perfectly matched the moody and romantic style, color and flowers for our wedding day, even crafting the most stunning handmade flowers and foliage. Not only was the cake GORGEOUS, but it tasted so incredibly amazing!! She also made us favor boxes with macarons for our guests and ensured those matched as well. They were DELICIOUS. Yummy Desserts Bar
The dessert bites from Lake Tahoe Cakes for our wedding were absolutely delicious! Our guests couldn't stop complimenting the variety and flavors of each treat. The standout favorites were definitely the s'mores bites and the strawberry shortcake cups—they were a huge hit!
Lake Tahoe Cakes also did an exceptional job with delivery and setting up the display for the dessert bar, making everything look as amazing as it tasted. We couldn't be happier with our experience and highly recommend them for any event! -

Magical cakes
Lake Tahoe cakes was an excellent choice! Everything was so beautiful and delicious! We opted for 3 flavor combinations a lemon cake and blueberries filling, a chocolate cake and brown sugar buttercream and raspberry jam, and a apricot jam almond cake with almond frosting. All three were amazing.... I'll admit it... I opted to eat all three!
They also made beautiful French macarons for our wedding favors. So delicious as well!
We would highly recommend selecting Lake Tahoe Cakes for you wedding goodies and cake! -

Allison did an incredible job bringing our small cake and dessert bar to life! We wanted a fairly minimalist cake, and what she brought to life was exactly like the inspiration photo we shared. We received nothing but positive compliments on the desserts, especially the tiramisu jars! Everything was absolutely delicious, and we highly recommend Lake Tahoe Cakes for your big day. -

We cannot recommend this *sweet* bakery in South Lake Tahoe enough. My husband and I planned a destination wedding and relied heavily on online reviews and social media accounts to make our decision. Lake Tahoe Cakes not only produces absolutely gorgeous desserts, they are incredibly tasty, too. We decided to do a small cake for cutting and focus on a spread of dessert treats for our wedding sweets. EVERYTHING was devoured. After sharing the first bite of our cake cutting, my husband stood there and continued to feed each other the slice of cake (it was too good to put down). We also ordered the bakery's adorable Lake Tahoe cookie with a red heart stamped on it, honoring our wedding location for our welcome bags. Again, they were delighted by all our guests. This bakery is easy to work with (I changed my cake design at least three times :)) and beyond delicious. You can't go wrong! -

My husband and I got married in a fairly small ceremony in Lake Tahoe this June. For our reception we knew we didn't want a traditional huge cake, but still wanted something special to mark the occasion. Lake Tahoe Cakes helped us to create a beautiful cupcake display that was such a hit with our guests. The cake flavors they offered are classic, but really tasty and trust me there was not a single cupcake left over. I will be buying our one year anniversary cake from them for sure! -

We hired Lake Tahoe Cakes to serve our wedding in the North Lake Tahoe area and she was the right choice. We visited a few months before the event to do a tasting and we were impressed with every flavor she offered. And she made it easy for us to pick the cake that worked for us. She also provided customized desserts, even ones that other vendors said they wouldn’t do for us. We highly recommend! -

Sweet people and sweet desserts
I don’t know how many times I changed our order, but Allison and Mrs. Lisa were so easy to work with. The cake and cupcakes were delicious. Everyone loved the cookies. We had to postpone because of the Caldor fire and they made that process so easy. I also threw southern cake pulls at a California girl and she executed beautifully. -

We used Lake Tahoe Cakes for our wedding back in October. We had a tasting where we fell in love with all the different flavors and combinations. They had such a cute tasting room and really made the experience special. We had Lake Tahoe Cakes create a raspberry and champagne cake as well as a dessert bar and cookies as our wedding gift. Everything were delicious and absolutely beautiful. They were extremely communicative and thorough. I sent them pictures and ideas and they executed my dreams perfectly. Our wedding desserts were not only beautiful, but delicious and the team was very easy to work with. Lisa was happy to accommodate all changes and design requests that we asked for. Planning our wedding from across the country, it was really nice having vendors that were responsive, trustworthy and happy to answer questions. Our lemon swirl cake, cupcakes and lemon bars were SO DELICIOUS. We would highly recommend Lake Tahoe Cakes! -

Lake Tahoe Cakes made the one of the best looking and definitely the best tasting wedding cake I have ever had. The tasting was a ton of fun and we ended up with a unique flavor profile. Had the easiest time working with Allison. As we were changing our entire wedding plans due to the pandemic, we were unable to taste the cake in advance.. and truly we did not have too. My husband and I live in NJ and working with Allison from across the country was so easy. She was very responsive and took my inspiration pictures into account when creating our moon themed wedding cake. Our guests devoured the desserts and cake in minutes. highly recommend! -

Alison aid the most talented Cake Designer in all of Lake Tahoe. If you’re considering her I wouldn’t look elsewhere. My cake was perfection and tasty too! I had her make me some cookies for my guest, some mini pies, a birthday cake and a wedding cake. Price was super reasonable. Couldn’t recommend Lake Tahoe Cakes more! -

Allison and her talent are so more than we could have asked for.
I don't eat sugar so have little preference on flavors, my other half however is a foodie. We were on our 5th different tasting when we drove to Allison's shop where she had the most organized and adorable layout ready for his tasting.
Our goal was a one tier cutting cake and one flavor of cupcakes. The flavors, the textures were allnso amazing that we got 3 tiers with all different flavors and 4 cupcake flavors. It was beyond amazing!!
The day I had asked that Allison incorporate our topper and a few other details by way of our coordinator. I had no specific outcome because we trusted her so much to do her work. She was able to incorporate our topper, 3 individual pieces to represent our dogs that could not be in attendance and the florals. It was beautiful, delicious and absolute perfection -

Allison is so sweet! We are so happy she did the dessert for our wedding. Everything from the tasting to the wedding went smoothly. She goes above and beyond! We were looking for someone to make custom donuts and do a small cake to cut. Allison bakes the freshest fried and cake donuts. Her flavors are incredible and speak to her creativity and talent. We ended up getting a cake for the bridal suite in a pink champagne flavor. It tasted amazing and was so beautifully decorated! Zephyr Lodge can be a challenge for vendors and Allison made it seem like a breeze. She even caught some great photos of us on the chairlift! The donuts were a big hit! The dessert was a decor focal point of our wedding and she made us and our guests very happy! We highly recommend Allison for all your bakery needs! -

Allison and crew are amazing! We opted for a small cake for cutting and a larger dessert selection and the table turned out so cute! Everyone raved about the hand pies and the cake was delicious. They are priced very reasonably, very professional and I am so glad I used them for my wedding. -

Lake Tahoe Cakes made my wedding cake and they did an amazing job! On rather short notice, about 2 months before my wedding, I reached out to Lake Tahoe Cakes and they were able to accommodate my request.
I do not live in the South Lake Tahoe area and all our communication was done over email. Allison was very easy to work with and captured exactly what I was looking for in a cake.
I was unable to get up to South Lake for a tasting before my wedding. The first taste of my cake was at my reception and I was extremely happy. The almond cake was light and delicate and the lavender filling was slightly sweet. The cake showed up and it looked exactly as I wanted. I highly recommend Lake Tahoe Cakes for your wedding cake needs! -

Christina Sent on 12/18/2017Allison was the easiest and most pleasant vendor we worked with for our wedding. She was professional, flexible, responsive, and makes the BEST desserts. Planning a wedding from three hours away was stressful at first; however, once we met Allison, I knew our cake and dessert table was one thing we did not have to worry about.
Our dessert table was worth every penny, and I am actually thinking of what celebrations I have in the near future in which I will be able to utilize Lake Tahoe Cakes again. Allison was also extremely patient; when we couldn't decide on what type of many pies we wanted, or what layers our cake to be, Allison gave numerous suggestions and let us think it over until we were ready to make a decision.
Our guests also loved every dessert that we had; so much that I didn't even get to snag a pie or cookie :( I thought I was biased since it was our cake, but our guests confirmed that it was the best wedding cake they had ever had. The cake was three layers with two being vanilla cake, vanilla bean frosting, and strawberry filling. The other being coconut cake, caramelized pineapple filling, and vanilla frosting.
Last but not least, our cake and dessert table turned out beautifully! Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Thanks, Lake Tahoe Cakes!

She made the wedding cake of my dreams, and even personally delivered it to my mother in laws private home in Lake Tahoe where we had our wedding. The detail was stunning, but the taste was fabulous. Amazing baker and very accommodating
Allison is incredibly talented. During our tasting, she explained her approach to buttercream and was happy to grab an extra flavor we noticed from her portfolio (we ended up using it because it was delicious!). Her prices are very fair and she explains all the options with no pressure. She checks on accessibility and allergen concerns. We rented a cake stand and she allowed us to drop it off at her shop the next day. I am beyond impressed with her, and I am so glad we went with her. Our buttercream-and-champagne cake was a hit with a cup of coffee. I think everyone snapped a pic of it! -

I lived farther away and was able to put my trust in her with all things flavors and decor wise. The cake was absolutely amazing! Everyone was raving about it!
