We had our wedding at the North Carolina Aquarium, and DJ Lady J was amazing to work with. She helped bring our dream music to life for our outdoor ceremony on the pier, then seamlessly transitioned everything, quickly moving equipment and having things pre-set so we could enjoy music during cocktail hour inside the aquarium while the dance floor was being set up in the jellyfish room.
She worked incredibly hard behind the scenes, and it did not go unnoticed. She and her partner even managed to get some of my more reluctant, non-dancing family members out on the dance floor, which was such a fun surprise!
Throughout the planning process, she was easy to communicate with, responsive, and always willing to answer questions and problem-solve when needed. We truly appreciated the care, effort, and energy her and her partner put into making our wedding day so special.

Our wedding was one day prior to a tropical storm! This vendor had us rockin into the wind! They absolutely make the experience personable & play your every request! They kept the party going & had many of my guests busting a move the entire night! If you need a DJ in the Outer Banks- it was hard to find one that was more local! DJ Lady J and her husband George were in the perfect location & they felt like family the moment they entered the party! We spent under 1k for 4.5 hrs of amazing tunes & entertainment! These two were the highlight of our wedding reception! On top of being extremely flexible and responding quickly before the wedding, they couldn't have done a better job day of. The team cannot be beat. They are beyond AMAZING and are all around great people. Very accommodating and they made the reception just that much more perfect. They got into the music and he was the best emcee I have ever seen. He even walked with my mom and her cane during introductions. They will be the ONLY ones that I will use if I need in the future and I'd recommend them to everyone, especially couples getting married because they make it less stressful.

I highly recommend this couple as Dj! My son even told me last night 'mommy you need to give them a 20 star review'! Awesome Experience with an Amazing DJ Couple
I first reached out to DJ Lady J circa November-December 2019 to inquire about her wedding packages. After searching for multiple DJs, I found Lady J to be the most affordable, communicative, personable, and most flexible, especially with her being in NC and I being located in VA. I looked at her other reviews, and those other customer reviews do not lie about Lady J and her services. My husband and I were supposed to have our wedding on 1/23/21, but VA COVID restrictions had us push back to 6/12, which DJ gladly complied with rescheduling.
A week before the wedding, DJ saved my butt with her wedding planner - which all helped me create a song list and an agenda for the reception. I don’t know what I would have done without DJ’s tools!!!!
The moment I met her on my rescheduled wedding day, she gave me a hug and she was all smiles for me, and it was very comforting, since she understood how stressed I was during the wedding prep with me being pulled from all over the place. She and her husband George have been nothing but very amazing during our time together at my wedding ceremony and reception. If I am to have another significant event/party like that again, DJ and George will be the first in mind to contact again!
To DJ and George, keep being an amazing duo, both as DJs and husband and wife. During my short time with you two, I can sense the love and the bond you both share. Thank you for all the help you were able to provide me, I couldn’t have gone through the wedding without you both!!!!

Our reception was so fun and laid back, just how we wanted it, thanks to the great service provided by DJ lady J! Her and her husband were so nice and professional, they kept the night going with ease and played exactly what we wanted. We wanted something a bit more laid back and she captured exactly what we were going for. We gave her an eclectic array of music and she blended it through the night flawlessly. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs a DJ and if we ever need a DJ again, we will surely be using her!

Lady DJ J is a complete steal for the absolute level of professionalism and FUN she brings to the table for weddings! My husband and I come from multicultural backgrounds and we had a really complicated wedding in NE DC - interfaith marriage ceremony, interesting song choices, crazy entrance requests. Lady DJ J and her husband were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING in managing it all! They got all the names right (even the complicated Korean ones) and didn't miss a beat.
Not to mention the planning phase of it was amazingly well thought out. When we booked and the week before the wedding, Lady DJ J was on top of every detail - processional, recessional, entrance music, exit music, you name it Lady DJ J has you COVERED. She also was able to find all the obscure jazz and acoustic music that we requested no problem! Even checked to make sure that the youtube videos were right for the version we requested :) The dance floor was popping!!! Their level of energy made people who wouldn't normally dance GET UP THERE!
You will 100% not regret choosing these two for your wedding. They are an amazing pair and just complete stars for a steal of a price. And also just amazingly fun to be around :) I'm so glad we chose them for our wedding! It was just such a blessing having them there.

Additionally, I had unique music that I requested for my ceremony and I simply gave her the mp3 songs on a usb on the day of the wedding and she took it from there. I would highly recommend her!

What can I say about DJ Lady J...... she is awesome!!!! And she comes with a MC!!! When I tell you that I fell in love with these two many years ago. They are so professional and friendly. Lady J and her husband George were PHENOMENAL. We hired Lady J Mobile DJ Service for our Labor Day weekend wedding at Pelican's Landing in Corolla, NC, and throughout the planning, Lady J was very responsive via email and telephone (but especially email - we often received responses within 5 minutes!). She was also very accommodable to our wishlist of songs but also read the room very well. She went above and beyond in making sure we had the music we wanted and took the time to understand our style and vibe. Lady J and George also worked with us for our beach ceremony in providing a microphone and sound/speakers. Our ceremony was so memorable and Lady J and George were definitely a part of making that happen - for the music recommendation, timing, and flow of the ceremony and rest of the night. They easily transitioned for the backyard reception. George is a great emcee that announced us as a couple for the first time with the enthusiasm and hype that we could ever want. DJ Lady J and her husband couldn’t have been better! Highly recommend!! Really reasonably priced! We planned a wedding in very short notice and they were with us every step of the way. They worked with us seemlessly through a few venue hiccups and had such a natural way of keeping the reception fun and exciting. By the end of the night they felt like family to us, referring to people on the dance floor by their first name and it felt like they were having just as much fun as anyone there. Lady J's DJ Service was the most perfect experience my wife and I could have imagined for our wedding. They were recommended to us by several people in the community and I am so glad we went with them. I have been to a lot of events with DJs and this was by far the best experience I have ever had. Planning was easy, price was very fair, and the fun kept on coming. After the day was over, we were told by so many of our friends and family that they had never had so much fun at a wedding reception and I can honestly say it's because of our DJ.
On top of great service these are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet! I cannot recommend this service to you enough!

Lady J was fantastic. When she arrived prior to the ceremony and reception, she was very friendly and willing to assist with any last minute updates to our music requests. During the reception, she played exactly the music we requested while also filling the gaps where we failed to provide enough music with similar music, which kept the guests dancing all night. Lady J provided excellent quality music through state of the art equipment for a fraction of the price. I would strongly recommend them in the future.

The best Dj service everrrrrrrrr!!!!! They did a phenomenal job and had my guests doing a conga line!!!!!! Not only was the actual Dj-ing amazing but their attitude and good wishes even scared away a huge storm that was coming our way. They met us the day before our wedding to square things out. Fantastic DJ! The crowd loved every minute of our reception and kept raving about the DJ. We just told them what genre of music we liked and let them run with it. Everything was perfect. We spent a lot of time trying to find a DJ in the Outer Banks area and everyone wanted to charge a RIDICULOUS amount of money. DJ Lady J was very reasonably priced in comparison to all the others. Lady J's Mobile Entertainment was absolutely fabulous! She played all of the right music and had my guest jamming throughout the event. She was extremely flexible with us as we changed our first dance song at the last minute. I appreciate her and her services and I was very pleased!

I could not have asked for a better job from Lady J. The music was exactly what we requested and the MC did an excellent job also. Lady J was great. I would highly recommend her. She works with you and is very fast in responding. The music was enjoyed by all ages 2 - 79. She did the ceremony music for the beach wedding as well as the reception music afterward.. What a great day for my daughter and her new husband. Thanks Lady J from Ann, Lindsey, Kathy, Josh, and all of our guests.

Lady J was great! We had originally asked her to only do the reception at our wedding, however at the last minute we asked her to provide services for our ceremony on the beach as well and she was able to accommodate us. She and George are both very friendly and blended right in with our guests and shared in our excitement as well! Lady J did a great job getting the party started and motivated our guests to get out on the dance floor. I would highly recommend Lady J for any event as a matter of fact I hope to be able to use her at some of our company events later this year!

I think they did a wonderful job and were very professional. I believe they are two of the greatest people I have meant lately. Very kind and friendly.

DJ Lady J and MC George were GREAT!! They had almost any song you could think of; and if they didn't have it in collection and you let them know ahead of time, they got it for you! They mingled with the crowd (if you wanted them to), laughed and danced, they really did keep your party going!
What I loved about meeting with them was that it was all about you. They dressed how you wanted them to, they asked you about your reception and the ages of people that would be attending, if you had anything in particular that you wanted played and when.
I felt like they were part of the family from the first moment we sat down with them...We had a blast and still keep in touch!!

We loved working with this wonderful couple. They replied to emails instantaneously and were extremely flexible with our vague ideas-- we had no planning experience or help outside of vendors' suggestions and books off of Amazon, so they made planning, at least in terms of music, which is the most important part of the reception frankly, so much less stressful. My husband and I are both painfully shy, so being made to dance on a stage instead of the dance floor "as a surprise" was terrifying for our first dance at the wedding (one of two dances we had time for that night), but I'm pretty sure that was my dad's request, and overall, everyone had a great time and loved the music and MCing. The dance floor was consistently packed! Thank you guys so much.

Contacted Lady J Mobile DJ Service via phone. I live in NJ and was having my wedding in Outer Banks NC. Pleasant and easy to talk to. She showed up on time and interacted great with other vendors and guest. I never had to re-consult with her on anything we had already discussed. She got the job done professionally and the music was great. I highly recommend using Lady J Mobile DJ Service.

Lady J did a fantastic job at our wedding. Meetings with her & her husband, George, went well and she was great at responding back quickly. There were a few mistakes with name/event announcements due to my lack of organization (make sure to go over any changes & confirm ALL plans with the DJ when they get to your venue ON THE DAY OF, regardless of who you choose). I was also really bummed about not getting the grand entrance song we specially picked out & having to make our guests wait while they fixed the situation (make sure to have your songs backed up to your OWN USB you can give to them)... HOWEVER, throughout the whole fiasco, Lady J & George remained professional, apologized several times, and did their best to keep the show going. Despite the bad parts, at the end of the night, I saw most our guests having fun & dancing the night away for probably 90% of the time. That was what mattered the most to us; we wanted all our guests to not be bored & to have fun, no matter their age. I even had guests wishing our reception was longer so they could stay on the dance floor longer! I would definitely recommend booking Lady J as your DJ for ANY event!

Very glad I went with Lady J. There was a minor hiccup with my bridal entrance music but she and my wedding coordinator were able to get it fixed fast, it just made my husband sweat a little bit! My guests and I had a very fun time at the reception and the songs choices were awesome. I danced a lot!
