We wanted a low-key wedding and Emily made that happen! Everything was super easy and stress-free. Between just having to send pictures of the bouquet I wanted to the easy flexibility with timing and locations I could not have asked for a better process. Emily had answers for any questions I had and worked to make our day feel magical. She also set us up with a fantastic photographer and almost let our dog lead her on a happily ever after adventure while we were getting some fantastic pictures. Could not be happier with how everything turned out! -

Emily and her team were phenomenal. My wife found them while looking for wedding ideas on the north shore and they gave us everything that we were looking for. She was beyond easy to work with, helping us through location ideas, having the photographer vendor list to pick through along with florists. We were able to tell Emily what we wanted, and she said "got it". And then most importantly she delivered!
On the wedding day her onsite coordinator for the day Chelsie was there with signs, umbrellas and flowers that were EXACTLY what my wife wanted. They matched her vision and the color scheme for my suit perfectly. It was uncanny how great it was. Chelsie helped make sure that everything went off without a hitch from guest arrival to after pictures.
If you are looking for help with a small ceremony along the north shore, are busy, and can't plan it all, let them do it for you, as they have it dialed in.
I have never seen my wife happier than that day, and that made working with Emily and team worth every penny! -

Highly highly recommend working with Lace and Brass Events. Emily knows how to take the stress of wedding planning out of the hands of the bride and execute the day of her dreams. She’s an active listener with the ability to take an out-of-towner’s ideas and turn them into a reality only a local would have the knowledge and skill to do. Prices are fair and her vendor list is immaculate (shout out to Max Caven Photography and Flora North). You will not regret working with Lace and Brass! We’re so glad we did. -

Lace and Brass Events came across my google search when our own small wedding planning became problematic in many ways. Emily is calm, professional, direct and accommodating to your vision. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. We eloped, just the two of us and did private vows at the state park in Madeline island. It rained but Emily knows her way around and made sure we got plenty of photos, my flowers turned out exactly how I hoped and requested. We will cherish this day and Madeline Island in our hearts forever. We will be recommending Lace and Brass Events to everyone! -

I thought I could plan my private elopement on my own, but when the stress of finding witnesses & everything else became too much, I decided to book with Lace & Brass. I do NOT regret that decision at all! As soon as they took over, my stress vanished. They made everything so easy, so smooth. Incredibly professional & responsive. Emily was always polite & very helpful! A special shoutout to McKenzie, our officiant, who made me feel so at ease during the ceremony & afterwards. She was such a positive & fun presence to have with us. I’m usually shy around strangers, but I didn’t feel that way at all with her! Cannot recommend Lace & Brass enough. Lace & Brass is amazing!
After much consideration and canceling our venue to go a different route with our wedding. . I came across Lace & Brass Events while looking for elopement options. Emily was fast and responsive to get out elopement booked, we booked in February to get married on the north shore of Minnesota that August. The planning process with LBE could not of been easier. Emily sent over a list of locations with photos to look at, along with a list of photographers, and then I sent over my inspiration for flowers, the rest of Emily took care of. It was THAT easy. The day of the wedding could not of went any better. We eloped with our two sons, and that’s it. Emily even provided the witnesses. Max Caven photography did our photos and I could not recommend him enough as well. Emily was so kind and helpful and even helped us get our photos while she hung out with our boys. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day, and it’s all thanks to Lace & Brass. -

I wish I could give them an infinite number of star rating! My wife and I toured enough venues and started planning for a large traditional wedding; it was so stressful for both of us even to begin planning. Not to mention the price of even the cheapest venue alone meant not moving into a house anytime soon. Luckily on a hunch we went back to the drawing board and found Lace & Brass! I cannot express how easy Emily made it for my wife and I to be wed and have the best day of our lives! My wife and I had about a million questions and Emily was always there to answer quickly. She also worked with the florist when my wife's first choice flowers were out of season to provide an alternative that was even better then my wife's first choice! We also had the guest list change three times and Emily allowed us to change the photography list even days before the wedding date. The final example I can give of Emily going above and beyond is, when my wife and I forgot to sign a section of the marriage license, because we were on Madeline island, she re-boarded a ferry to meet us at the end of our photo shoot to get it corrected, then left later then planned.
The Duluth and Superior area is where we met, fell in love, and began our relationship. It was only fitting we should also be married there. To top it off with Lace & Brass, we were able to be married on the same beach I proposed!
Outstanding services and options, amazing people everywhere from Emily, to our flouriest, and amazing photographer; I can go on forever how amazing Lace & Brass Events was. -

Madeline Island Elopement
We married in September 2023, on Madeline island with the help of Emily and her team at Lace & Brass. The connections, knowledge, and patience that they have is worth its weight in gold. LBE connected us with flowers, makeup, catering, lodging, an officiant, a photographer, etc. given that we live in Milwaukee, it was so comforting knowing that LBE was so familiar with northern Wisconsin, and Madeline island. All of these vendors know each other, and work together flawlessly!
The day of our wedding, LBE did everything for us! Emily brought our flowers, tables, chairs, table scape, cutlery, etc. whilst we were away at the state park taking cliff photos with our photographer Emily and her team set our entire ceremony and cocktail hour necessities. My wedding weekend had a few unforeseen hiccups, that were out of our control and Emily & her team put out any and every fire that arose, which I am forever grateful and thankful for. Hiring LBE for planning and day of coordination was the best choice I made for my wedding (besides marrying my husband of course)

We booked with Lace and Brass as soon as we found our venue up in Bayfield, WI. We worked with Emily and McKenzie to create our dream wedding! We are so grateful for L&B rentals especially with linens, glassware and small wedding accessories. The whole process of renting through L&B was simple and easy! We booked day of coordinating services with McKenzie and she worked with us right off the bat when planning out our wedding. We would have frequent phone calls to discuss each step of the planning process and when it came to our wedding weekend, McKenzie coordinated our rehearsal and wedding day!
McKenzie was absolutely great to work with and gave great advice throughout the planning process. On the day of our wedding, McKenzie helped navigate all the unexpected and kept our timeline in mind!
We needed to rework many aspects of our wedding day due to an absence within our wedding party and some rain during our reception. McKenzie knew exactly how to handle each situation and was so attentive to our entire wedding party! My favorite little moment she helped create was slicing a piece of wedding cake for my grandma and bringing this treat over to her. I was so grateful McKenzie could spoil my grandma for me when I was busy within the wedding night!
Our overall experience was wonderful and we would definitely recommend L&B! -

Wedding Coordination Extraordinaires
We worked with McKenzie for wedding coordination and also got multiple beautiful rentals, all through Lace & Brass Events. We had so many compliments on the beautiful farm table, wooden chairs, and velvet loveseat and the rental process was so seamless! We had the decor of my dreams because of them.
McKenzie was SO helpful and kind throughout the whole planning process of the wedding. She was my go to girl the whole wedding day and helped make sure everything was so streamlined! I don’t know how we could’ve gotten through the day without her- seriously! Because of McKenzie, I was able to fully enjoy my entire wedding day and be present and I will never be able to thank her enough for that.
If you are debating using Lace & Brass- just do it!! You will thank yourself so much, they are so kind, responsive, and thorough. Would highly recommend McKenzie and the whole team to any of my family and friends! -

Best Choice!
I knew for a long time I did not want a big wedding, and I had never heard of micro-weddings till I saw a video on it randomly. In searching through Google, I found Lace & Brass Events--I was immediately HOOKED. They showed pictures of amazing elopements, and the prices were doable for couples who aren't looking to go into debt over one day. The best part of it all is how hassle free they made it. You just make your selections, and they do everything else. I had NO stress going into my big day, and I could be present fully for it. I can't recommend enough to do an elopement, you will be SO happy you did! I woke up the next day just absolutely pleased, and no "it's all over" type of crash I see people get--after spending the whole year planning for this one day, then feeling bummed that the 'peak' was over. Ours felt like an on going event through the weekend, as we paired our elopement with a mini getaway in the city we selected. It felt like such an intimate moment for us. I also was really impressed with the location Emily found for our ceremony! It felt nice to give over the responsibility to someone else, and know I could trust it. -

The Perfect Wedding Event Service
I always knew I wanted a small, intimate wedding and Emily at Lace and Brass made that dream possible! We originally were thinking we would like to have our wedding in Sept. 2023; however, our plans changed, and I began a frantic search online for affordable options in a short time frame. I called Emily in June, and she immediately sent me different locations for the ceremony and dates available. Emily was extremely attentive, coordinated, and easy to work with through our wedding planning process. She has a great selection for her packages to fit any wedding type! We loved everything about our elopement from the location option, photographer, flowers, officiant, and the lack of stress we had knowing everything was coordinated so perfectly. Emily at lace and brace events helped my now husband and I have the best wedding day. We decided to go with her elopement package, it was amazing. Everything we wanted came out perfectly, she got our florist for us, all I had todo was send her a picture of a bouquet I wanted and on the day of she showed up with the most beautiful bouquet/boutonnière. I was able to chose from a selection of photographers to find someone who fit best for us! She really made our wedding stress free with getting our officiant lined up for us and allowing us to chose the location we loved so much. Her communication, her kindness and help she provided before and on on our wedding day was perfect and if you’re looking for a wedding planner I would highly recommend working with Emily and her crew to ensure you have a easy breezy day so you can focus on what’s most important, you!!

Peace of mind on the day, L&B are super reliable and professional
We hired Emily to manage our Madeline Island wedding and would highly recommend it! We planned most of it, but did so from abroad right until a month before. It was really helpful to benefit from her contacts with local vendors and her experience of wedding planning, so that we knew to ask ourselves the right questions. Most of all, her presence on the day really took a weight off our shoulders. All of it went so smoothly, we were never distracted from our event with stressful decision-making! It had all been discussed ahead of time and Emily knew just when to check in with us and when to manage things. We also rented chairs, an arch, and decorations from her, which she set up and took down with her assistant. Not only was that very convenient, it looked really great and all our guests thought so too! -

Amazing wedding planner
I don’t even know where to begin. Emily helped my husband and I pull off the most magical day. Our original wedding date was set for 2020 but we unfortunately had to postpone due to Covid. Emily helped us every step of the way. She contacted all the vendors that we had already booked to make sure they were available on our date of 2021.
She was absolutely AMAZING on wedding day…helping organize people and keeping everything on schedule. This helped relieve so much stress. Another huge plus to hiring Emily is she has great resources when it comes to other amazing vendors. I can not say enough good things about Emily and Lace & Brass events. -

Exactly what we wanted.
Lace & Brass Events took care of everything,
We had the pleasure of working with Emily; the entire experience was tailored to exactly what we wanted.
I sent Emily a few pictures of what I liked for flowers and Emily had the florist design a gorgeous bouquet and matching boutonnière for my husband.
We Eloped on Madeline Island because of the beautiful scenery.
Emily was familiar with the area and knew some really beautiful areas for pictures.
As we got closer to the wedding day there was severe weather in the forecast. They were predicting 2 inch hail during the ceremony. Emily was calm and super optimistic emailing me the night before options with pictures in case we got rained out. The weather ended up holding out for our ceremony and pictures but it was reassuring to know we had a backup plan.

Wonderful company
We stumbled upon Lace and Brass Events while trying to plan our elopement ourselves.
We chose to hire Emily with the Sweet and Simple package and we’re so happy we did! She made the entire process a breeze and respected all of our decisions. There were many things included in the package, two of which were a florist and an officiant. We chose not to have these included and because of that the cost of those services were then subtracted from the total cost of the package.
From the time of hire, to our big day, she kept everything stress free and easy! She kept in touch throughout the entire process and answered all our questions thoroughly and in a timely manner.
Our day ended up more special than we could have dreamed and we credit a huge portion of that to Emily. We really couldn’t recommend Lace and Brass Events more! -

Worth Every Penny!

Cannot Recommend Lace & Brass Events Enough!
We cannot recommend Emily and Lace & Brass Events enough! We knew we wanted to get married in or near Bayfield by Lake Superior as it had special meaning to us and we could not have done it without Emily.
At first, we were questioning hiring a wedding planner for our wedding but we honestly could not have had the day we had without her. We live 3 hours away from Bayfield but Emily was so great at communicating with us, willing to schedule calls whenever we had questions that couldn’t be answered in email, and including us in the entire planning process.
We originally had plans to get married on Madeline Island but, due to COVID, our plans had to change less than 2 months before our planned wedding day. We found out on a Friday that our venue was canceling the wedding and by that Sunday, Emily had sent us a new list of venues and options for us all around the area.
Everyone that Emily recommended for us to work with was fantastic and we are so glad they were a part of our day. We had the most beautiful ceremony and our day turned out even better than we could have hoped.
We really could not have put together a day like that without the help of Emily and Lace & Brass Events.

I couldn’t be happier with our choice to go through Lace and Brass Events! I had reached out to Emily in the beginning of September asking if she had any fall dates available. In just one month she had our elopement organized on The North Shore. Any questions I had leading up were answered quickly. She handled everything to the point where we had no stress in the days leading up to our elopement. Emily was extremely prepared (even having scissors handy when I had a loose string on my dress and an extra set of hands when I needed someone to hold my bouquet). Our family had no worries but to just enjoy themselves. Even being the bride and groom we had no worries so we could just enjoy each other in the moment. My fiancé and I reached out to Emily when we first got engaged. My fiancé's mother was terminally ill but we thought we have at least a few months to pull together our wedding. Life happened and in order to have my mother-in-law at our celebration, we had to have our wedding a week after we got engaged. Planning a wedding in Wisconsin from California seemed nearly impossible, until we talked Emily. She actually performed a miracle. She pulled together the most incredible flowers, a gorgeous flower arch, two last minute venue changes and a top-notch officiant. She was incredibly communicative and open-minded throughout the whole process. She actually tuned an apartment porch into a magical wedding ceremony venue. After being together for ten years my now husband and I decided it was time to finally make this official. We wanted to keep the wedding small so we decided that an elopement with just immediate family would be the perfect way to go. Both of us are not planners by any means and I stumbled on to the Lace and Brass Events website after looking for places to elope on Lake Superior. I contacted Emily after looking at all the beautiful photos on the website. We knew we wanted Lake Superior involved in our wedding and Emily responded the super fast. After setting an official date, she sent us some options of where we could do the ceremony and a list of photographers to choose from. Talk about making things easy! (Again, my husband and I are terrible at planning anything!) Gooseberry Falls and Shawna Vine Photography seemed like the perfect match for us. I sent her a screenshot of a bouquet I liked on Pinterest and when the day came they nailed it!
On our wedding day Chelsie was our coordinator and she was awesome. We had a little ring incident (my daughter dropped it and lost it for a hot minute) Chelsie immediately got on it, reassuring me that she would personally comb through every blade of grass on the beach until it was found! Talk about dedication! Emily and Chelsie were both friendly, personable and professional. I would definitely recommend the Lace and Brass team if you get stressed easily and are bad at planning anything like myself. I cannot say enough good things, if I had to do it over I wouldn’t change a thing. -

Dream Elopement!!
We knew we wanted to elope from the date we got engaged and as soon as we saw Lace & Brass’ packages and website we were sold! Emily made the process so simple and fun. Our simple elopement took maybe two weeks to finalize the details. Emily was able to help me plan it a month before the set date which was incredible! Chelsie was incredibly professional and helpful on location at our Lutsen ceremony. She helped us a ton with our high energy dog (cannot thank you enough!!) and she was quick to help us with anything we needed during the ceremony. Our officiant and photographer were perfection. The flowers were a dream. Overall the day was perfect and I wouldn’t change a thing about it! Thank you to Emily and Chelsie for making it as seamless and stress-free as possible! -

After having to reschedule and completely change my wedding due to COVID, Emily was able to step in and ease my stress. We began working with Emily after our original Mexico destination wedding plans were cancelled due to COVID. Hiring her was the best wedding decision we made! She helped us pull of our dream “destination” wedding day on Madeline Island in only a few short months! She was always very responsive to emails and helped us to problem solve any hiccups. The weekend of the wedding she was amazing- she transformed our space so beautifully, kept everything organized and continued to check in on me to make sure I had eaten and to keep me in the loop on any changes to the timeline (which is important because of vendors having to take the ferry off Madeline Island). Best Decision Ever!
We couldn’t be happier with our decision to have a small elopement ceremony planned by Emily at Lace & Brass! We were very overwhelmed at the thought of planning a large traditional wedding-not only the logistics of that, but the financial burden as well. I got married on June 6, 2020 and it was nothing like I had planned. I was supposed to have a big ceremony and reception with all of my friends and loved ones there but due to COVID-19 I had to cancel everything just over a month before the wedding. I was so panicked and unsure of what I was going to do but then a friend recommended an elopement planner called Lace & Brass Events. Emily and the staff at Lace & Brass were excellent to work with. Emily was supportive and responded promptly and considerately to emails which made the planning process easy and stress free. We had not visited Bayfield before our wedding day so we put our full trust into Lace & Brass to help plan every detail of our intimate ceremony. Emily had great recommendations for vendors in the Bayfield area and helped us get in touch with them. Our original plan was to get married on the beach, but a few days before the wedding Emily reached out because of the potential for rainy conditions. I was so thankful that we had a backup plan in place; it made the change of plans much easier to manage. Our intimate ceremony with our immediate family present took place in the gazebo in Bayfield. It was not part of our original plan, but I'm extremely glad it ended up raining and that we had it there! It's not something we would have chosen for ourselves, but Emily had the insight and knowledge to know what would work best for us and what we wanted. We wouldn't change any part of our Thursday in October wedding day and can't thank Emily and the Lace & Brass Events staff for their amazing work! -

Honestly, where do we begin? Next to the best decision of my life to marry my best friend, we hired Emily. From the very first phone call to our amazing day, we knew she was worth everything! Best wedding Decision
I always wanted a destination wedding for awhile. Our original plan was to head to the state of Alaska however after my wedding, I'm glad I went with Emily. I filled out the contact information on Emily's website and she instantly reached out to set up a time to call and speak to me over the phone. We had originally planned a very small elopement in a wooded location with just myself, the groom and his daughter. What ended up happening was a small wedding ceremony of 14 guest of our immediate family under a willow tree right on Lake Superior. The day was absolutely gorgeous, everything fell into play and went very smoothly. The package I had chose did not include the food or wedding cake but Emily gave me a list of local restaurants and bakeries in the area to choose from. After the ceremony, everybody ended up at Good Thyme Restaurant and Harbor House Sweets delivered the wedding cake. I could not have asked for a better day. I wish I could go back and do all it again, that was the best wedding decision I have made!! :)

Emily and her assistant, Chelsea were simply amazing. Just when I thought I had included her in every aspect of our wedding another thing would pop up (in the middle of the night, of course) and I would send her a message. Her response was always, "No problem!". The day of the event I did not even need to show up. She had everything handled from flower arrangements to the bathroom kits. At the end of the night, they boxed everything up for easy removal at the venue the next day. They were both extremely patient with me.
If you are looking for a "take charge" wedding planner you can't go wrong with them! :) -

We recently used Lace and Brass Events for our elopement/intimate ceremony. We had been considering elopement, and found LBE online. We were thrilled to see they did elopements on Madeline Island, as this is a very special place to us both. We were also happy to see it was possible to invite a few close friends and family to share the day with. After an initial phone interview with Emily, we knew this was the route we were going to go to tie the knot.
From that initial conversation, things only got more exciting, and time and time again our expectations were exceeded. Emily took all of the stress out of planning a wedding, yet the product was still exactly how we imagined it, and it felt like “us”— not a cookie cutter elopement package. We also rented the arch, and I sent her a picture of how we imagined it would look, and she made it happen.
The day was smooth, the flowers were beautiful, the cake and champagne were delicious, our photos by Kellie Rae Studio still make us tear up and relive the day all over again, and Emily was a pleasure to work with. We cannot say enough good things about Emily and Lace and Brass Events. We are forever grateful for how perfect they made our special day! -

Emily was amazing! Don’t let my sucky-ness as a person since I’m leaving this review nearly a year and a half later reflect negatively on her. I have mom brain and that’s not her fault. 🤣
My husband and I were randomly googling things on a whim and ended up finding her because of the services she offers. We needed something that was the real “all in one package”. She delivered on that and than some!
She took our simple ideas and turned them into something magical and perfect. What’s even more perfect is when things came up she adapted! Didn’t matter if it was the change in venue and pulling things off in less then two weeks or when the my husband fainted after the “I do’s”. Or when our usual photographer for family photos couldn’t make it for the wedding— Emily was there!! She arranged for everything.
I could never of asked for a better outcome. It didn’t matter that I didn’t meet her in person until moments before it all started. Between the emails and phone calls, she personalized everything just for me. No need to be a bridezilla! Emily’s got your back and makes everything you can image, possible.
She’s the glue that made it all possible and go off without any crazy hitches!
Lace and Brass Events will be my ‘go to’ when my children are old enough to marry in a few years.

Planning a wedding, even a small one like ours, so far away from where you live can be so stressful and difficult but Emily was such a calm, collected resource through everything. Whether it be before hand in giving reception recommendations to helping come up with solutions when we procrastinated and thought we wouldn’t have the groom’s birth certificate, which is required in Wisconsin. Right through the day of when she makes sure everything is running on time and making sure the groom actually is getting dressed when he is supposed to.
We were thrilled with how our tiny intimate ceremony went. All of our guests had a wonderful time in Bayfield and fell in love with the area just as we had.
Emily has the vision to make both large, small, and elopement weddings a beautiful reality. She does so much to make sure the day is as stress free as possible, which is worth every cent. -
