Amazing experience!
I hired Desiree to do my hair and make up for my wedding, I was blown away with her work I am truly glad I went with her I would definitely recommend her again and again. She is very professional, talented, she willing to help work with you I booked her a year in advance and with planning my wedding out of state she definitely worked with me when it came to time to try and schedule my makeup trail run when I came to town for wedding stuff and she was able to fit me in, even with the trail run we still ended up changing a few things the morning of and we didn’t do a hair trail but I sent her enough pictures and communicated enough of what I was looking for and she nailed it! My hair and makeup lasted all day and night even with the summer heat and a few tears I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! -

Dream Experience!
I hired Desirée to do my hair and makeup for my August wedding, and I was blown away by the results! I have never felt more beautiful in my life, and I am 100% sure I made the right choice for my wedding. I would recommend La Muse again and again - she is receptive, professional, highly skilled, quick to respond, and such a calming presence to keep you sane wedding morning!
I had a trial with Desirée for my makeup, and though it was beautiful, it was not exactly what I wanted for my wedding day. After the trial, I communicated what I liked and didn't like as much, as well as sent more photos of the look I was going for, and on the wedding day, Desirée nailed it! The makeup lasted all day and night and was beyond what I had envisioned.
I did not do a hair trial, but sent her many photos of various possible hairstyles, and Desirée beautifully combined the hairstyles and created a look that was so gorgeous! Truly could not have asked for a better experience!
Choose La Muse for your wedding if you want to feel so at peace with your decision and to have that beautiful bridal feeling all day long!! -

Desiree did a lovely job with wedding hairstyles for me and my bridesmaids! She is a true professional, and she worked some of her "magic" to give me my dream hairstyle despite my hair being slightly too short. I appreciated how she honored my request for a natural look, and she was very responsive to the requests of my bridesmaids as well.

I have been a client of Desiree's for about 10 years, and I have watched her grow her wedding beauty business from the beginning. She has done hair for me for many occasions, including my high school prom, bridesmaid styling, and anytime I needed a fresh cut or a new color. When my turn to be a bride came along, I knew immediately who I wanted to style me. My wedding was in March 2023. I truly cannot say enough good things about Desiree. Her work is masterpiece level. On top of being an exceptionally talented hair and makeup artist, she is an all-around kind person and caring friend. She goes out of her way to make her clients feel special, valued, and cared for. She will listen to your wedding day vision, and then turn it into reality and then some. I'm so glad I hired Desiree to do hair for myself and my bridesmaids. After my first trial, though she did my hair just like the inspo pic, I wasn't enamored with it so I went back fir another trial. It still wasn't exactly what I was hoping for (though again just like the inspo pic) so Desiree used her creative talents to make a small tweak in the style, a way I wasn't used to wearing my bangs, and it was perfect!
On my wedding day she arrived early and provided a calm disposition while she made all our hair beautiful. She stayed after she was done to make sure everything was perfect until I walked out for my first look with my future husband. And she helped my sister with the insane amount of buttons on my dress.
I felt beautiful, like a queen and my hairstyle held up all evening--even though it hit 92 degrees!
I highly recommend her. Thank you Desiree!!! -

Desiree is wonderful, she deserves more than 5 stars
There are not enough words to describe Desiree. She is an angel! The morning of my wedding, one of my worst fears happened, I had tested positive after being so careful. I wanted to be transparent and give her the option to cancel. My maid of honor and one bridesmaid had already bailed on me days prior, I would have completely understood if Desiree wanted to cancel but she didn't. She said "I will be there for you!" and she was. That gesture alone made my heart so full. I would recommend her and La Muse to anyone. Not only was she professional but also the sweetest and so stylish. During my trial run I showed her the hair accessories I wanted to use, she gave me some suggestions on placement and my hair turned out even more beautiful than I could imagine. She made my mom and I look beautiful. As someone who does not live in Oregon it was a little bit of a challenge to pick out someone but I am glad I chose La Muse. -

Amazing make-up & hair!
I LOVE Desiree!! She was my 2nd make-up trial. She really listens to what you want and tailors your look to enhance your features as well as understands photography and what works on camera so that the result is breathtaking. I loved what she did so much that I also had her do my hair too!! -

The wedding was a destination wedding for all involved. We flew in to meet with Desiree for the trial hair and makeup months before wedding. She was very hygienic with all makeup. She listened to wishes and made my daughters dream come true. I also had my hair & makeup done. Mommy here ;). It was absolutely beautiful!! I really enjoyed her lovely company as well. The important things to me were met. She did what she said she was going to, when she said she was going to, charged agreed upon price, and performed the service with a smile on her face and kindness in her heart. Stellar service! Desiree was so amazing to work with and I am so glad I had her as my hair/makeup artist for my wedding! She’s friendly, professional, and insanely good at her job. She did my mom’s hair and makeup as well as mine, and everything turned out amazing. She went above and beyond, letting one of my bridesmaids use some waterproof mascara, leaving supplies for touch-ups, and even helped get my dress zipped up when we were having some difficulties. Spending the morning of our wedding with Desiree was amazing. She was so professional, efficient, and skilled! Moreover, we really enjoyed the energy she brought to our morning. She was caring, easygoing, and confident, and she helped me (as the bride) feel calm and confident when I needed it most. She showed investment in our whole wedding day, from her appreciation of our venue to her desire to capture our family moments. She used our inspiration photos and created beautiful makeup and hair looks, which exceeded all of our expectations! While she was open to any direction and feedback, as she wanted us to be happy with our looks, she didn’t require it with her keen eye and high standards! We love Desiree and are so grateful she was part of our day!

So skilled and sweet
Desiree did my hair for my wedding day and I was so happy with the results. I sent her pictures of what I wanted beforehand and she styled it beautifully. She is so skilled at what she does and my hair honestly turned out better than what I had pictured— I didn’t know my hair could even look like that. I received many compliments and my hair looked good throughout the long day, even through the rainy weather. I was very stressed with the day ahead, but this part of my day was the most relaxing and peaceful. I knew I was in good hands when we met and she really delivered. Amazing stylist
Desiree is amazing!! Not only is she incredibly talented but she is also so calm and flexible. I had limited time for hair and makeup and so Desiree practiced on a mannequin ahead of time so that she could nail the look in the time we had. And WOW. The results were incredible. She really knows what she's doing and how to accentuate your best features.
Booking her was one of the best decisions I made while wedding planning. -

Desiree is such a wonderful and talented person! Both my bridal makeup consultation and day-of bridal makeup looks were absolutely amazing. My makeup looked beautiful on my wedding day and lasted all day despite being applied around 10am. She was able to do both my makeup and my moms really well. We didn’t need to have her travel for us but I know she does frequently for other weddings. Desiree was really easy to work with and responded to all my emails quickly. She also broke her foot the day before my makeup trial and still showed up. Overall it was a great experience, would recommend Desiree to book your wedding! -

Lovely and Talented
I must have talked to dozen of Hair & Makeup artist when looking for the ONE to make me look and feel beautiful on my wedding day. I was shocked on the cost of the services alone, and the lack of flexibility of receiving my deposit back if my venue cancels due to COVID. I knew after half way through my first conversation with Desiree that she was the one, and after my trial run, it was clear I made the right decision. She was the utmost professional, and since she's a self diagnosed GERMAPHOBE, her sanitizing practices were impeccable, and I felt completely safe. Desiree is a very seasoned artist. I could not have been happier with my hair the day of my wedding. I’m a curly girl and felt like I was having a bad curl day and got so nervous but Desiree worked her magic and I was so happy and felt beautiful. I can't possibly say enough good things about Desiree and my experience with her! From the moment I reached out to her on WeddingWire, she exceeded my expectations. She was quick to reply and answered all of my questions. She confirmed the time and location the day before my wedding, and then showed up early the day of! I needed to find someone to do my hair and makeup for my wedding last minute (I'm talking 2 1/2 weeks) because my makeup trial went so poorly. I was panicked! Desiree was fast to respond and after reworking how many of my bridesmaids need hair and makeup she jumped right in even though her weekend was booked and she was traveling the night before she took my wedding on (Lifesaver).
During my trial, she talked with me and was happy to change and adjust whatever until it was just how I liked. She made me feel totally comfortable giving feedback.
On my wedding day she arrived on time, she brought her own chair and lighting so there would be no mishaps on set up. She immediately re-color matched me (I had gotten a tan) and got to work. She completed both me and my maid of honor in the time allotted and we just loved the natural but done of up look she created. I would highly recommend!
After the wedding, she was amazing to take the photos she had and post them to her pages. She is very active on social media but is good to tag photographers and other vendors. If you like that type of online engagement (which I do) then she will be even better for you. -

Saved the day!
I originally went with another hair and makeup artist, after weeks of not being able to get ahold of her and when I mentioned to my Day of Coordinator who I chose, she strongly advised against her, and recommended Desiree instead. The previous artist is known in the industry to flake on brides day of, which actually happened to bride the weekend after my wedding. Anyway, Desiree was available very last minute-weeks before the wedding and even delayed her travel plans she had previously scheduled day of to be there for me -and was able to do my makeup, along with my moms (in red) and my sisters (in black). I had the trial run and was unfortunately not happy with the end result because I always have a bare face and never do my hair, so seeing such drastic results was a bit of a shock and not quite the bare and natural look I was going for. I mentioned this to her in a follow up email, she was completely receptive to my feedback, and had reassured me "day of" looks would be more of what I had in mind. Come morning of, she seemed a little annoyed and stand offish, which started my day off a bit rough. But as the day progressed, things smoothed out and were much better. My sister had asked her to fix her eyeshadow, which she did willingly. Both my sister and mother loved their hair and makeup (pictured), and I think she did a great job on them as well. My mom has thick short hair, and Desiree handled it well, especially on a bit of a time crunch. I think she executed my hair and makeup exquisitely. My makeup and lip color matched my skin tones perfectly and she nailed my eye shadow. She also added a beautiful shimmer to my collar bones. Her execution of the natural and simple makeup was flawless. While beautifully done, my hair being thick and heavy, it did fall fairly quickly, making the top of my head pretty flat for the rest of the night. Desiree did go above and beyond when she asked me if it was alright to add a muting powder to my partner's face so that there would not be any shine to her face, which I thought was nice of her.
Desiree was super sweet to work with. She also helped walk me over to first looks and shield me from any guests, which I thought was very sweet of her. Due to Desiree's flexibility, timely email responses, attention to detail, and text follow up days after the wedding, I would definitely recommend her to any bride so you know you will have great hair and makeup done for you and not flaked on by another artist.
