I loved worked with La Belle Elaine's for my wedding! I bought my wedding dress pre-COVID and the assistants were so helpful in selecting a lot of different dress styles, listening to what I liked/didn't like about each dress, and finally helping me settle on the dress I chose for my wedding. The inside of their shop is beautiful and clean, every single associate I interacted with was so kind and accommodating. They have a single seamstress that deals with all of the alterations, but that was no issue as she was on top of things and I just made sure to setup my alterations appointments in advance. They also offer gown and veil steaming prior to the wedding day which I opted for. All in all, a great experience! -

I had the best experience at La Belle Elaine's. I looked forward to finding my wedding dress since I was a little girl, and it did not disappoint. Clare was a wonderful consultant. She seems like she truly loves her job and I felt like she was excited for me as a bride. After I found my dream dress, she let me come back for an appointment with all my friends and family for the dress reveal. It was all my "Say Yes to the Dress" dreams come true! My dress was perfect, the alterations turned out flawless. Thank you La Belle Elaine! I could not have asked for a better experience. -

I had a wonderful experience at La Belle Elaine's. It was the first salon in the Seattle area that I visited, and I could have just stopped after that first trip! The salon is clean and spacious, with great lighting. The variety of dresses/inventory that they had in the salon was excellent - I really felt I was able to try on several in the many silhouettes and styles I was considering. The stylist I worked with, Geneva, was fantastic. She was helpful and listened to my likes and dislikes (and, most importantly, my budget!), and I never felt that she was pushing a sale on me. I came back and tried on my dress a few times before I committed, and Geneva was great about accommodating my work schedule and giving me flexibility with appointments. I was able to get my dress altered in house when it came in, which was both a convenient and positive process. Finally, I was flying across the country with my dress for the wedding itself, and the staff at the salon had great tips for travel and caring for the dress upon arrival. -

All of the ladies were patient, kind and accommodating while I tried on numerous dresses over 3 sessions. I felt bad I took up so much time and am an indecisive person but these ladies never made me feel like I was bothering them and went above and beyond each time I was there. Lydia Sent on 12/13/2012I absolutely love the girls at La Belle Elaine's! I came here first to try on dresses and it was such a great experience. We ran over in time a little, but I never felt rushed to leave, they wanted to make sure I was satisfied with my appointment. The selection is great too, I tried on every possible style (even though I already knew what I thought would look good on me). Ultimately what I thought I might want was presented in several different dresses and my perfect dress just happened to be the first dress I tried on. I would highly recommend every bride come here to buy their dress! -

Gretchen Sent on 09/05/2011I lived in Pittsburgh and was visiting my sister in Seattle when I bought my dress. I was able to buy a sample dress designed by one of the owners of the shop at a very discounted rate--which was the only way I could afford it. The runway, the consultant--it all makes you feels like a princess!
The staff was extremely flexible--allowing me to add a corset to the dress by their alterations department to make my dress the one of my dreams!
They were also flexible in letting me do my final fittings during VERY short trips to Seattle 6 months before my wedding!
I'd recommend them to anyone :) -

Brett Sent on 08/15/2011I live in Australia but got married in Seattle, WA. I found my dress in Australia but was able to order it from La Belle Elaine's for $1000 cheaper. I absolutely loved my experience working with La Belle Elaine's because they were so willing to work with my situation of living in another country. They offered to store my dress for over a year and then did not charge me for rushed alterations (I did not arrive in Seattle until the week of the wedding). They were so willing to offer suggestions and solutions to any situation and it worked out so harmoniously to work with them!!! -

Jessica Sent on 04/03/2011They only received a little less than a 5 because I would show up for my appointment on time and would sometime have to wait a very long time because other appointment went long. I completely understand that. The value of cost is a 4 because they didn't have any dresses cheaper than $900 unless you showed up for a sale. High end store. I luckily showed up on their clearance day and received a steal on a designer dress! The quality of their staff is amazing! Each person loves what they are doing. I even received a note from my sales person thanking me for purchasing a dress from here and to call her if I need anything else. It was very nice. The seamstress was very knowledgeable and helpful! She listened to what my needs were and never wanted to ruin the integrity of the dress to just get the work done. They have TOP quality people working for them. I would recommend this store to anyone! -

My original consultant was helpful and ended up pulling the dress I eventually chose, she wasn't at all pushy and didn't put any pressure on me to buy that day which was extremely important to me. They were great when I wanted to come back with a couple of friends to help with my final decision and again when my mom was finally able to come out to see the dress after I had already purchased it. The only problem I encountered was a mistake with an alterations appointment that had not been written in correctly but they were very apologetic and made up for the mistake. I would defintely recommend them to anyone. And there selection was great. -

User417195 Sent on 09/23/2010Let me first explained why I marked a few things down (though I still gave a high rating). In regards to "Quality of Service" and "Value for Cost" I marked down because of their alterations service, NOT because of the service I received with the actual La Belle Elaine's team. The alterations were expensive, which I was okay with except that the bustle didn't even last half-way through the reception. It hung a little too low and after getting stepped on just once or twice, the whole thing was just hanging funny. I tried some safety pins but ended up just having to leave it down. It's not easy to do the electric slide with a train! I thought the bustle looked high quality -- it tied together in several spots as opposed to buttons or hooks -- but it just didn't last. And in regards to "flexibility," it certainly isn't their fault they were busy in July and August! That's to be expected.
I had a wonderful experience in this bridal salon! It's beautiful and I love how none of the dresses are in plastic. You can see everything!! I had so much fun trying on and was so pleased to find that the dress or my dreams was so affordable! The ladies had fun playing dress up with me -- trying on veils and jewelry and hair clips -- and I felt like a princess but didn't feel ANY pressure to buy any of the fun accessories they were putting on me (and I didn't buy any). I purchased all of my bridesmaids dresses here and got a discount for doing so. I definitely suggest you go try on some dresses there and have some fun with the catwalk! -

I purchased my wedding gown from La Belle Elaine's Bridal and I could not be happier with my purchase! Yes, it's a bit pricey but for the quality and the dress itself it is well worth it. I went to six other bridal shops and could not compare any of them to the wedding dress that I chose. Plus, the staff were very attentive especially as I had no family with me during my appointments to assist me with choosing my dress. I had Stacey who was not pushing her own agenda and was essential letting me try various options and coming back a separate day, as I wanted to go to additional shops before I decided on this big purchase. Highly recommend this bridal shop! -

I tried on at least 15 dresses and my timeline was shorter than most brides so I needed to walkout with a dress at the end of my appointment. I found something that I absolutely love and is so unique! With a few alterations it will be perfect and I am so happy that I was able to find something with such a short time frame! They had a plethora of styles and the runway was fun to walk on! Being able to see your dress from a bunch of different angles and walk around in it at the same time was very helpful in my decision making process! -

First at La Belle’s, there is an awesome runway you can walk like a diva down on while trying on gowns. Another thing is, I think after going to all the bridal shops (went to….I do Bridal, Belltown Bridal, Princess Bride, La Belle Reve, Calla, The Bridal Garden, Voletta Couture…name it I went there) in Seattle and even some in Houston, TX, La Belle Elaine’s did it for me. Their gown selection was great, prices starting from 1k and they were really good at only showing you things within your budget. My ceremony dress is what I purchased here. I bought Pronovias Fresa dress which was beautiful in every way. I spent close around 3k at the end after alterations, getting a veil and other accessories. They were really professional and I had no issues with any of my fittings. Make sure if you are getting a dress made you buy it no later than 6 months prior to your wedding! -

Lindsay Sent on 07/23/2008I really loved La Belle Elaine?s selection and they had a very clean store. Although they have more expensive lines of dresses, they had the right dress for me. The dress I purchased didn't seem "cookie cutter", and they have many unique dresses available from well known designer. My dress arrived when they said it would, and they kept in contact with me. They let me take my dress with me, rather than keep it in the store until my wedding, and offered to steam it before my wedding. The only bad thing I can say is that the particular sales associate I had when I bought my dress made me feel pressured into getting it. Although I was very happy with it, it's not always comforting having someone pressuring me into buying such a big purchase. -

Angeline Sent on 08/29/2017I would recommend La Belle Elaine for buying your wedding dress. However, I would recommend you either find an outside seamstress or make sure you take the time to fully investigate the alteration work to make sure you are satisfied. While not horrible it was not up to the standard I would have expected once we were able to really look at it.
This said, the sales staff at La Belle Elaine was wonderful to work with. I went in with just my mom and our representative listen to what I was looking for and pulled various dresses the meet this plus some that I would not have thought of one my own. She was very patient as I tried, re-tried, eliminated, and tried again until the perfect one was found. I never once felt rushed and the atmosphere was very comfortable. Once the dress was in, there was minimal in alterations that needed to be done, a little at the hips & in the length, and a slight adjustment of the shoulder straps. We needed the dress back relatively quickly to allow for custom beading. The dress alterations were done within the time frame expected and all appeared well during the 2nd fitting; while not rushed, the time seemed a bit more pressed. I wish we would have taken a bit more time to look at the alteration work. As bead work started it was found that not all the lace had been “tacked” back down fully. There were gabs between the lace and fabric of the skirt/bodice which had to be tack down to ensure the lace did not pull away. This ended up taking time away for the beading. The rhinestone straps had to be re-done as we realized the thread used could be seen through the lace of the bodice; the white thread was replaced by clear thread. A 2nd layer was also added to the bustle so the dress did not drag as much in the back once bustled. The dress was still beautiful and I would buy from the again just not have alterations done there. -

Kelsey Sent on 11/26/2013***Revised. My experience "Saying Yes to the Dress" at La Belle Elaine's was originally fantastic. I had thought that finding my dress was going to be quite the process... it took me 30+ dresses to find my prom dress. When I arrived at La Belle's I was kind of nervous because on the hanger nothing called out to me really and I had no clue what I wanted! The stylist helping me was fantastic and found dresses that she felt would look good on my body type. She was very helpful and not pushy at all! She made sure I loved it! (5'3, 100 lbs.) My dress ended up being the third dress I tried on that day (tears and everything :))! I would rate them 4 stars for the actual day of appointment and 5 stars for my dress (I loved it and still love it!) .....That being sad after I swiped my credit card all customer service stopped. I had to contact the shop multiple times to see if my dress was in and after the third time it was in (well then why didn't you call?) The same lack of communication happened for my veil and corset bra which took months to come in. I honestly don't even think they ordered the veil/bra until I called the first time (about a month later) to see if it was in. When I picked up my dress that was it. They didn't remind me about alterations or ask if I wanted to schedule them, never called a few months later to see if I still needed them. No follow up whatsoever. Terrible business practices. If you want to feel special and have the full bridal treatment absolutely find somewhere else. I adore my wedding dress and it looked amazing on my wedding day last month but I would never recommend this shop to anyone.
