Sassy, crafty and everything I could have imagined!
Finding vendors can be scary. If you need a cake, look no further than Kymm's Kakes! Kymm is welcoming, hilarious, accommodating with schedules, easy to work with and makes any cake imaginable (even vanilla on vanilla!). The tasting was eye-opening with the different flavors (all amazing!) and we worked on the design to make it even better than I imagined! She was in constant communication, made sure I had everything I needed for my special day and even popped in to the bridal suite to see me (she didn't just bring the cake and dip... she was truly invested!)! I highly recommend Kymm and her small team who made my cake dreams come true with a beautiful layered cake (vanilla on vanilla and vanilla with huckleberry). I will 1000% be using her for all events moving forward!
Words cannot describe how easy she made this journey on me, how uplifting she was, how honest she was and how incredibly talented she is! Although this only let me rate out of five stars, this experience is well above that! -

Kymm did an amazing job with our cake! We had a general idea that we wanted and I drew out a rough draft and sent it her way. She was a little unfamiliar or inexperienced with a few of the things we were asking for but absolutely nailed the execution of them! The cake was delicious and absolutely beautiful! Best cake I’ve had in my life!
Let me start by saying the price was perfect for our large wedding! The taste was beyond words with all the flavor combos they had to choose from we were in amazement with everything they had to offer. Everything was delivered and set up perfectly and Kymm and her staff were in constant communication with us up to the last minute. We couldn’t have had a better choice with this family run business. We had so much fun with our tasting too! Kymm is so much fun and so easy to get along with. She brings so much enthusiasm to everything she does. We just loved her and her daughter ! 100 out of 10 stars for us! You won’t be disappointed in anything except if you wait too long you won’t get a spot on her busy calendar! Amazing! Gorgeous and so fluffy!
These ladies are amazing! And so are the cakes! I don’t normally write these but they deserve it 100%!!! Beyond the beauty the flavors! Who would have thought Chai as a cake flavor!?!? THEY DID and that’s what it was! As well as his request for “tart bite like you just licked a 9v battery” lemon frosting! Sooo good! Very responsive to ideas and questions they are the real deal and therefore you get an amazing cake! The cupcakes were also to die for! Book them and book them early you will not be disappointed!!! They thankfully make other cakes as well so they are never going to be rid of me now!Kymm’s Kakes's reply:

I can’t explain to you how much they truly mean. People who don’t usually write reviews are the ones who you know you’ve done something deserving of and this makes their words even more meaningful. Kymm's Kakes is an amazing business to work with!
We asked them for a cake to celebrate a 60th Wedding Anniversary and family reunion. They were so helpful with suggestions and the cake was beautiful!
Our guests were so impressed with the flavor of the cake and frosting (Earl Grey cake and honey lemon butter cream frosting). Most guests ate all their cake and said they NEVER eat all the cake they're given!
Kymm's Kakes is a family business with the owner Kymm, her mother Robbie and her daughter Miranda doing it all including delivery and set up!
I promise you won't regret ordering your next special occasion cake from Kymm's Kakes!

Kymms Kakes was one of the standout vendors I had the pleasure of working alongside with for a recent wedding in the stunning North Lake Tahoe. Although we didn’t meet in person beforehand, I always strive to connect with fellow vendors to ensure I can highlight their beautiful creations in my photography.
Words truly can't express how breathtaking the cake Kymm designed for this wedding was. The couple had an extraordinary sense of style, and the groom even wore a suit that beautifully echoed the cake’s design! It’s not often you see a cake that mirrors the groom's attire, but Kymm expertly brought this unique vision to life. She mentioned that most of her requests tend to focus on matching the bride's dress, making this project all the more special. Every detail of the cake was meticulously crafted, from the simple off-center tiers that gave it an elegant yet modern flair to the carefully selected dried flowers that adorned it. The color palette was harmonious, and each pressed flower was placed with precision, creating a stunning visual that captivated everyone. I found myself taking photo after photo, unable to resist capturing its beauty from every angle!
Kymm’s talent and creativity truly shine through in her work. The cake was not only a feast for the eyes but also a testament to her dedication and artistry. I can’t wait to see more of her creations in the future! It was an absolute delight to work with Kymms Kakes for the first time, and I genuinely hope our paths cross again soon. Highly recommended for anyone looking to add a touch of magic to their special day!

Perfect in every way
This wonderful mother daughter duo made my dream or should I say nightmare (in a good way) wedding cake come true. I had a spooky vampire theme wedding on 10/13/23, they brought my vision to life. Amazing wedding cake!
Not only were the cake and cupcakes amazing to look at, they tasted incredible as well. Kymm is so responsive and literally went out of her way to make my daughter’s dream come true for her wedding. Interesting, fun, exciting

I had to plan my wedding from Seattle and Kymm's Kakes was recommended by my venue. She was super responsive, and super helpful and a delight to work with! We were in town on vacation a couple of months before the ceremony and Kymm and her mom worked with us to do a cupcake tasting. so much fun from day 1
Kymm and her family were so fun and flexible. We did our tasting as a "tasting to go" as they call it. We were so surprised to see all the fun wonderful flavors she had picked out for us ...
We ended up using all the flavors except for 2 because there was no room for everything. We will be coming back for our 1 yr. anniversary just so kymm can make us some more!

Beautiful and delicious cakes at a reasonable price!
Great choice for wedding cakes or cupcakes at weddings in Tahoe!
We used Kymm's Kakes for our wedding in South Lake Tahoe. Kymm provided us with a free tasting at her home in Dayton. We loved all her flavors so much we ended up having two cakes, and 6 kinds of cupcakes. She delivered everything to our venue on time, in perfect condition.
While we each wanted something very different, a groom's cake in the shape of a football helmet and a more traditional, single layer wedding cake decorated with succulents and flowers, Kymm had no issue with either. Both of them turned out beautifully and were delicious! Our guests also loved all the different cupcakes.
Flavors included:
Lemon cupcakes - half with blueberry-lemon frosting, half with pineapple frosting
Vanilla cupcakes - half with chocolate frosting, half with blueberry-lemon frosting
Chocolate cupcakes - half with raspberry frosting, half with chocolate-coffee frosting
She had even more flavors! Lots of fun ones like strawberry kiwi and salted caramel, as well as classic ones like chocolate and vanilla.Kymm’s Kakes's reply:

Best cake ever
Kymm is absolutely a DELIGHT to work with. She made the whole process so smooth and fun! I explained to her exactly what I envisioned for my wedding cake, and they absolutely NAILED it!!!
