Kukahiko was the perfect spot for our intimate wedding with our family. The backdrop is beautiful and being at an estate it had a level of warmth and comfortability I don't think I could find anywhere else.

Kukahiko Estate offers such an amazing setting for your wedding - I wouldn't have asked for anything more...other than air conditioning! That is definitely the only downside to the location, though. We had a wedding with 25 people, did the ceremony under the two big trees in the yard, did the dinner, special dances, and cocktail hour in the yard as well - then moved up to the patio for the dance floor inside the house (with the doors open). Being a summer wedding, it was obviously going to be hot, so I was at least expecting it. However, it's always going to be hotter when you're wearing an additional 15 lbs of fabric! A/C definitely would have made the getting ready part of the day more enjoyable, but overall it was perfect. Everyone kept commenting on how amazing it was. I cannot even count how many sunset photos were taken by all of our guests. And it's so nice to be able to rent a location where you can have the ceremony and reception at one location. Not to mention bring in your own catering and alcohol! We ran to Costco to buy all the booze before the wedding! Not paying the exorbitant resort fees really made the whole wedding more affordable. And we got better food!! :)

This place was a dream come true... when I got married there, it felt like I was in a fairy tale. The water, the sky, the sunset... everything at this venue was just breathtaking. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue for my intimate wedding. I felt super blessed to have found this venue and had the pleasure of getting married there. It worked perfectly for everything I had imagined for my big day and I can't stop looking at our wedding photos! This venue makes you remember why you fell in love with your bride or groom to be! :)

When we decided to get married in Maui, I had at first wanted to have a beach wedding, but then considering I hate being covered in sand for any length of time I had to rethink that idea! After researching the venues that Maui had to offer, I quickly narrowed my search to Kukahiko Estate, due to the beautiful view that a ceremony on their lawn provided, I could still have the ocean directly behind us but without the sand! And while we had to make the decision site unseen since we were planning it all remotely, once I set foot on the Estate just a few days before the ceremony, I was immediately set at ease with our decision! It is as gorgeous in person as so many of the pictures online! And we had turtles poking their heads up right along the shore most of the day, and whales splashing around further out, which just added to the wonderful ambiance! All our guests are still raving about how fantastic the setting was. We never really dealt with anyone directly at Kukahiko Estate throughout the planning process as our wedding planner handled all that, but several days after the wedding I realized I was missing a family heirloom jewellery piece that had been given to me just before the wedding, and the caretaker allowed us to meet him there to have a look through as they hadn't found it during during their cleaning, and thankfully we found it! I will be forever grateful for that! This venue was exactly what I had dreamed of, I couldn't have asked for more!

Darren is amazing; he is professional, kind, helpful and available. I fully recommend working with him. I could not be happier with the service he provides.

Booked this site through our wedding planner, so I never dealt directly with the property owners. This is a review for just the property. Absolutely stunning and perfect location for a small, intimate wedding. We had approximately 40 guests. Everyone raved at how it was the most beautiful wedding they'd ever been too. The pictures turned out amazing. Our photographer captured breathtaking sunset shots on the cliffs with the ocean crashing behind us. The patio area we had dinner on to watch the sunset was lovely. The dance floor is the living room area cleared of furniture, which I had worried would seem weird, but ended up working out really well. This location exceeded all my expectations and really made for a perfect wedding venue!

This is a beautiful estate for a wedding so glad we chose it. Everyone who attended our wedding commented on it.

We loved Kukahiko Estate for our destination wedding ceremony and reception. It is right on the shoreline, with a small beach, perfect for pictures. There is also a rocky walk-out area that affords excellent views and wedding pictures. Our wedding was on the lawn, with the dinner/reception nearby. Kukahiko is beautiful during day and night, and we loved our decorations. It was a little pricy, and just FYI - no fire of any kind is allowed at the Estate. (We’d wanted fire dancers but weren’t allowed).
We loved our wedding and reception, and wouldn’t change a thing!

Pretty nice for photographs. But looks nicer in photos than it is. Windows were dirty outside of the building. The gardens are not particularly lush either. Better for an outdoor wedding than an indoor dinner. We had rain and it flooded the area, shorting out the electricity on site. An electrician was called in, but it was touch and go for a while with respect to whether or not there would be power available for my wedding day. The venue is very restrictive in terms of how long you are permitted to stay. Literally the last bite of dessert was in our mouths at 9:30pm and we were being shooed out. We were a group of 17 in total and were a very quite group. It would have been nice to stay until 11 or so at least given the amount of money that you pay to rent the place for the day. We could have moved inside so as to not disturb neighbours. Some of the rooms on site are locked and you are not permitted to use the entire venue. The venue did not permit us to have overhead drone photography, which was very disappointing. Their reasoning was that it would disturb the neighbours, yet there were people fishing on the rocks nearby during my ceremony and afterwards as that is the public shoreline access. It didn`t make sense to me why drone photography was not permitted from the property that i had rented, yet the public was permitted to be in my photos. The drone photographer could have just as easily shot from the public access.
