We worked with Kristen & Sheridan for our wedding earlier this year and are so lucky to have found them!
TL;DR: From planning and day-of execution to the delivery of our wedding gallery, Kristen & Sheridan were incredible to work with. Not only were they the perfect presence for our wedding day, they captured it in such an authentic way with a stunning final product.
We connected with Kristen & Sheridan the moment we met them which was important to us considering the amount of time you spend around your photographers. We did an engagement shoot prior and we not only received an incredible batch of photos, but we were able to establish a rapport that made the flow of our wedding day feel that much easier.
When we had to tweak our photo schedule or change locations, they were the perfect people to help us pivot and keep things on track. And when it was time for the ceremony & reception, their discrete coverage led to incredible results that captured our day in such an incredible way.
The wedding gallery they created was nothing short of amazing and we were able to see moments of friends & family we would have never seen day-of. And truly, everyone who interacted with them LOVED them.
We had opted not to have a videographer and knew our photographs were going to be our primary memory of the day, and we have no notes! Kristen & Sheridan captured the perfect story of our wedding and we would recommend them to anyone! -

Kristen has been exceptional to work with from our engagement photos to our wedding day! Kristen was an absolute joy to work with. From our first meeting we knew she understood what we were hoping to capture and that she would provide a unique perspective to our special day. She not only met those expectations but FAR exceeded them. On top of that, we got the extreme privilege to see her work with her equally amazing wife Sheridan. The results were jaw-dropping. Together, their visionary talents captured the day in a way that we will never stop loving and sharing (as often as people will let us), but the joy of watching them work together definitely added another layer to the day that we will never forget.

Choosing a wedding photographer was one of the harder parts of planning for us — we weren’t really sure what to look for and didn’t know much about photography. But from the very first phone call with Kristen, it was instantly clear that she was the one. She’s incredibly organized, knows weddings inside and out, and yet somehow keeps everything feeling laid-back and easy. She made us feel relaxed and taken care of through every step.
Our engagement shoot was effortless, fun, and genuinely one of our favorite memories. Kristen has this amazing way of making you feel like you’ve known her for years — warm, calm, and completely present.
On our wedding day, Kristen and Sheridan worked together seamlessly. They made everyone feel comfortable, blended right in with our families and wedding party, and brought such positive energy. Kristen was familiar with our venue and knew exactly where to go for the best light and most beautiful backdrops — including places we had no idea even existed, like the rooftop and an incredible hidden attic. She coordinated with the venue team like a total pro and even helped me put in my veil!
Shooting our Couple’s portraits with them was one of the most unexpectedly special parts of the day. Kristen and Sheridan made us feel like actual models while keeping it authentic and fun. There was something so meaningful about being photographed by a married couple who clearly love and support each other — it made the whole experience even more emotional and memorable.
The photos? Breathtaking. Every single moment — from the big ones to the quiet in-betweens — was captured beautifully. We truly don’t know how they do it. Kristen and Sheridan will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we can’t recommend them highly enough.
Do yourself a favor and book them — it’ll be one of the best decisions you make! -

Kristen and Sheridan came highly recommended by friends, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience so far! At our engagement shoot, they were the perfect balance of professional and warm. We had Kristen photograph our small, intimate fall wedding ceremony and I would recommend her services in a heartbeat!
From the moment we reached out, communication was clear, quick and friendly. We were able to discuss what we needed for our day, what photos we would like and who was in them, and we were able to discuss some personal boundaries for certain photographs which were respected.
The day of, she arrived well on time, was friendly to ourselves and all our guests, and took photos so efficiently whilst maintaining professionalism.
We received our previews so quickly and for the price we paid, I'd hire her again, should we need professional photography again. We are blown away by our photos so far, and can't wait to see the rest!

Kristen and Sheridan were amazing!! They helped us figure out a timeline for events leading up to the ceremony, created a comfortable, relaxed, fun atmosphere while posing for photos, and of course captured some really beautiful moments from our wedding. Kristen was my 8th grade English teacher which made this experience extra special. I also love that Kristen and Sheridan are a married couple themselves and made sure Tanner and I had time together. They are a beautiful couple and a talented team! We’ve already seen some stunning sneak peeks and are patiently awaiting the rest of the photos from the day. THANK YOU!! -

Finding the right photography crew to capture your special day is one of the most important aspects of planning a wedding. We couldn't have picked a better duo to capture the best day of our lives. Kristen and Sheridan felt like family to us than just being our photographers. The two of them captures the emotions and happiness and so much more of our special day. A Phenomenal Experience All Around
Kristen and Sheridan are incredible. They were amazing to work with from start to finish. From our earliest email communications to zoom meetings to randomly stumbling across each other at the venue the day before, our interactions were always lovely and supportive. Sheridan was our photographer the day of our vow renewal and she was exceptional to work with; all of our guests commented on how delightful she was and the photos do not disappoint! I don’t even know where to begin, but I’m going to try!
My wife and I got married back in September 2023 and Kristen was actually referred to us by our DJ, Mo Haskins. I am beyond grateful for that referral - Kristen was absolutely phenomenal to say the least. We were planning a backyard wedding, so I obviously had a TON of questions and needed a lot of guidance throughout the planning process. Kristen was there to answer any questions I had with her positive and quirky responses. She really had a way of making the planning process fun, let alone the actual wedding day!
Kristen and Sheridan showed up early and immediately jumped right in. I honestly only had to show them my wife, our dresses/shoes, rings and pups, and they took charge and got right to it! It was like they weren’t even there - seriously… some of the moments they captured I hadn’t even noticed them catching the shot at all.
When the wedding actually started, Kristen and Sheridan were extremely professional and did everything they could to make the day about US. We busted through the wedding party and family photos in a flash. I didn’t realize how fast the day goes and Kristen and Sheridan really made sure we pushed through the formalities to get to the fun stuff (eating, drinking, dancing).
We really felt so comfortable working with them. My wife does not normally do well posing for pictures; nervous, anxious, fidgety. Kristen and Sheridan made her feel like a natural in front of the camera. They made us feel like movie stars! On more than one occasion since the wedding, my wife has said Kristen is the only one she wants photos taken from in the future, which says a lot since we live in North Dakota (we had our wedding in upstate NY).
I could go on and on about how much we appreciate this company, but bottom line…. If you want good people who appreciate you for who you are, respect you and your desires, put YOU first on your wedding day, AND capture incredible memories from one of the most important days of your life - you have to choose Kristen Renee Photography. We are so happy we did :) -

Kristen was absolutely amazing to work with since the day we contacted her! She was a great communicator and so down to earth. She made myself and everyone else involved in pictures feel so comfortable and her laid back but professional vibes were very appreciated! She went above and beyond on the day of our wedding making sure we got all the shots in we wanted before the rain started. She even saved the day by having a crochet hook for my mother to use to help button my dress. On top of all this, we absolutely LOVED our photo's! -

Kristen and Sheridan were both amazing to work with! The minute I saw Kirsten's work, the bright, beautiful photos and genuine happiness shown, I knew I'd found the perfect photographers! We honestly narrowed down our wedding date based on their availability! We got to know them both better at our engagement session, which was so fun, natural and easy. We got great instructions and also had the ability to just go with the flow. Our wedding day was captured beautifully by these wonderful women. It’s honestly hard to put in words the incredible experience we had with Kristen Renee Photography. We started out a few months ahead of time with an engagement shoot (which I would HIGHLY recommend) where we got to know each other and Kristen’s style. as two people who are not used to being photographed, we were so thankful for Kristen’s expertise in posing and making us feel comfortable. We used the photos for our save the dates and wedding invitations :)
In the months leading up to our wedding day, Kristen was always available and helpful in answering all our questions. She even scheduled 2 in depth phone calls where she helped us figure out the timeline of the day and made us feel so comfortable. When we decided we wanted videography as well at the last minute, she directed us to Elmtree weddings and facilitated that. Honestly, I don’t know what we would’ve done without Kristen.
The wedding day went off without a hitch, and the photos are spectacular. I can’t overstate how important it is to have vendors that work cohesively with each other, and Kristen and her team not only worked well with the other vendors we hired, but actually seemed like FRIENDS. It was obviously the best day of my and my husband’s life (so far ;) ) but it made it extra special to look over and see our photo, video, and DJ team(s) all working so well together.
Also, just a special shoutout to another member of Kristen’s team, Sheridan (her wife!!!!). They work so incredibly well and it’s honestly inspiring how well a married team can work together :)
I feel like I could write so much more, but please just use this review as an INSISTENCE that you book Kristen Renee Photography before another couple books her first!!! Thank you so so so so much again, Kristen!! -

We booked Kristen for our wedding in August and the quality of service we received is more than we could have asked for. Highly Recommend
I had followed Kristen’s work when I met her at a playground when both of our sons were playing. I knew when it was time for our wedding that I wanted to work with her. We were not disappointed. Kristen was excellent to work with. We were both nervous about being photographed, but she put us at ease. She captured moments we didn’t know we wanted (or felt too awkward to request) and are now so glad we have to look back on. She was also flexible with last minute requests and changes. We are grateful to have so many beautiful moments to look back on. -

Wonderful Photographer
We used Kristen for our wedding scheduled for April of 2020…needless to say it was unexpectedly postponed (twice!). Not only did Kristen photograph our last minute backyard wedding, she also helped us reschedule multiple times with kindness and patience through the whole process. When our big day finally happened she was friendly, professional, and followed all Covid protocols. Our photos came out fantastic and she is a joy to work with. Kristen was beyond incredible! We had a pre wedding FaceTime call to prepare and ensure both she and we were all on the same page for what the plan was for the wedding day. Fantastic communication throughout the entire process. On the day she was outstanding! Kristen was our photographer for our 11.26.21 wedding. Kristen is very professional, but also a very warm/nice person. I felt like I could be at ease that Kristen has got this! Wedding day!
Kristen was absolutely AMAZING to work with! From our engagement shoot, to our wedding day time line, to our wedding day, she answered every question for us and made us feel so comfortable and excited for our big day! My husband and I never had professional photos before, so when it came to our engagement shoot with Kristen, she made us feel so at ease and relaxed. We had a blast! Absolutely the best!
Kristen was so awesome and helpful throughout the entire process- planning, engagement photos, COVID rescheduling, and the big day. Our photos are SO beautiful and unique, my recently-married friends are all jealous of the creative shots Kristen got on our wedding day. Not only was she an amazing photographer, but she was so helpful in making the day run smoothly. She's the best!
Kristen was the best! She was super easy going and made everything fun but could get our family members assembled and whip through those photos in no time. Kristen was awesome. She has a fantastic personality. So easy to work with - cool and funny. Our families loved her .. the pictures are beautiful and elegant. She hung out with me while I was getting ready and she fit right in - like I had known her for years. Unfortunately, we had heavy rains the night before and morning of so we were unable to utilize the State Park (SPAC) for pictures.
Kristen is well known and liked among the local vendors, which is always a plus.
Professional, affordable and an absolute pleasure to work with.
We would highly recommend. She’s great!!! -

Kristen was amazing from the moment we sent our first email to her. She was always very fast to respond to us and made it clear we could reach out to her whenever we had questions. She asked questions about our story as a couple and told us about herself as well. We clicked instantly!
On the day of our scheduled engagement shoot it was a crappy weather and she advised we reschedule to get the best photos possible. I loved how I could tell she cared about the quality of photos just from that conversation and she was very quick and flexible to get us rescheduled on a beautiful day. The day of our engagement shoot we told her we were super awkward people and didn't know what to do with our hands and bodies at all. She was so funny and witty that all of our laughs and poses came naturally. She stepped in occasionally to fix a piece of fly away hair or a shirt collar or something, but really encouraged us to act naturally as a couple and be ourselves which showed beautifully through our photos.
On the day of our wedding I was so nervous and excited. We got married during COVID so I was also beyond anxious but she put me at ease. She seriously feels like a calming friend in the room that you are so glad is there!! She makes a timeline of the day you're envisioning and makes it come true. She makes sure, no matter how off schedule you go and how little time you have, your photos are everything you hoped for.
Lastly, my favorite part about Kristen is she literally chases the sun. Wherever the sun goes, she knows exactly where to place you to get the most beautiful lighting. She will take you and run to that spot to make sure she gets the best photos! We are beyond happy we had Kristen there throughout our engagement and our wedding. We will be using her photography skills as much as we can in our future and you should too!! -

Where to begin?! Simply put, Kristen is the absolute best. Kristen was the photographer for our friends wedding a few years ago. Their photos were stunning and they raved about how much fun she was to work with. When we started planning our wedding, there was no question who we wanted to be our photographer.
From the planning process to the wedding day, Kristen was incredibly organized and easy to work with. She helped us put together a timeline for our day, which made it easier to book and set times for other vendors, like limos and buses. She worked so well with our wedding/site coordinator and helped ensure everything went smoothly.
While we were getting ready and taking couples portraits, she was talking and joking with us. Everyone in the wedding party and our families loved Kristen. Not only have they raved about her photos since we got them back, they keep saying how wonderful she was at the wedding. She helped everyone feel so much more comfortable when getting their pictures taken and have fun doing it.
Kristen is also up for adventure. We really wanted photos by the Hudson River, which meant hoping a fence or two in a wedding dress. (Special shout-out here to her second shooter Anka for holding up my dress while I climbed over a concrete barrier!) With no hesitation, she was ready to climb over a barrier or two to get some stunning photos. They ended up being our favorite photos from the day.
If you are still picking your wedding photographer, remember your photographer spends the whole day with you! You want to make sure that not only are they an excellent photographer, but they're someone who you are comfortable being around while getting ready, taking family pictures, and celebrating on one of the most special days of your life. For us, that was Kristen. We love our wedding photos and we had a great time with Kristen while taking them.

Wonderful experience, we LOVE our wedding pictures!
Kristen was such an amazing photographer, we would recommend her to everyone! She photographed our elopement at Schenectady City Hall and was very communicative and flexible. We love how our pictures came out and the turn around time was super fast. We had about 10 family members with us and she got great shots of all the different family groups we could have asked for. -
