Highly recommend Kristen!

I cannot recommend Kristen enough! She was very flexible and quick to reply to my messages. She came to the venue and did everything. All I had to do was relax. She was very accommodating of some last minute changes I wanted to make and I couldn’t be happier with how everything came out. I would definitely use her again or recommend her!

Wonderful!

I booked wedding photo shoot (separate from the actual wedding due to COVID craziness) hair and makeup with Kristen without doing a trial due to the circumstances and she was friendly, responsive, asked great questions and listened well when I told her my normal makeup routine so she could consider that as she did my makeup for the photos. I even let her know any COVID related concerns I had and she addressed those as well. I loved both my hair and airbrush makeup and received endless compliments from friends, family, and our photographer. Kristen came to my house and was super sweet and friendly. She made me feel like such a beautiful bride!

FANTASTIC! Her talent for hair and makeup made me look and feel beautiufl on my wedding day!!!

I had the best experience with Kristen! I asked her a few weeks before my small wedding for hair and makeup and she was able to fit me. I showed her a picture of what I enviosined for my hair and makeup and she created the look to a tee. It was so perfect!!! I felt like a beautiful bride thanks to Kristen. I am having another big wedding next year and I will definitely be using her again for myself and for all my bridesmaids. You will not regret chosing Kristen!!!!

Kristen is excellent, felt absolutely perfect for my big day!!

Kristen’s makeup and hair on my wedding day made me feel so elegant and natural at the same time! Everything stayed pot perfectly for the whole time. Lots of other things ended up going haywire with our wedding day, but my makeup and hair were perfection, start to finish :)

Kristen was the best priced for the job out of multiple artists and she was extremely flexible in many ways. She had no early start fees or extra driving fees to come to my wedding venue or my trial at my home, she had no issues with making adjustments to who was getting what service, she totally rolled with the punches on the day of when my MOHs hair took 20 min longer than expected, and lastly she was completely fine with me changing my look from our trial on the day of too!

Amazing Hair and Make-Up Artist

Kristen was the best decision I could have made when it came to my hair and make-up. She took the time during the trial to make sure that she noted every color, technique ect. to ensure the day of that she could create the same look she did for me that day and she did! During the hair trial she also took the time to create two different looks to make sure I was happy with the result and when the day of the wedding came it looked amazing.

From the first moment till the end Kristen was professional and affordable. She did my hair, both bridesmaids, my daughter and mother. Everyone at the wedding complemented my hair and make-up. Thank you Kristen for making me look beautiful on my special day!

Amazing hair and makeup!!!!

Kristen and her team (Danielle and Sara) were AMAZING for my wedding day hair and makeup! I cannot say enough positive things about them! The prices were great and they came directly to our hotel. Communication with Kristen was so easy along the way; I booked her over a year out and the whole time she was wonderful with any questions I had.

Kristen, Danielle and Sara were so fun, relaxed and ended exactly on time, to the minute; they helped keep our nerves down! We had 15 women get some combination of hair, makeup or both done and everything went so smoothly.

The day of my wedding was raining so I (the bride) decided to completely change my hair style from what we did with the trial. Kristen did not skip a beat and was incredible. When my hair and makeup was done, I think Kristen was as excited as I was! She was so enthusiastic (as were Danielle and Sara!).

I absolutely loved working with Kristen and her team and would HIGHLY recommend them for any bride that wants gorgeous hair and makeup for a reasonable price and a fun team to be with you on your special day! :)

I wish I had photographs to upload at the current moment because Kristen is amazing. She is super friendly, easy to work with and really listens to her clients. Kristen goes with the flow and had a smile on her face the ENTIRE time! She was very punctual and didn't mind in the slightest when we had a person add on at the last minute. Her quality of work is superb. Not only did my hair and make up stay all night, but it stayed all the next day and a half as well. I was worried that my make up would smudge on guests when giving them hugs, it did not at all. Kristen ensured that my hair would stay and that I wouldn't loose any of my curls. I just can't say enough good things about Kristen and her team. I would definitely love a reason to require her services. The compliments I received on my hair and make up were endless, but not only that, but she did an amazing job with my bridesmaids as well. Kristen and her team really accentuated their natural beauty and the process was completely stress free. Consider me one happy bride! I'm not the type of person who normally wears a lot of make up and I am self conscious about how I look, but honestly, I have never felt more beautiful in all my life, than I did at my wedding. I have Kristen to thank for that.

Kristen and her assistants were amazing! We had 10 people getting hair, and 9 for makeup. They were very patient with us, and did exactly as we asked. It is always helpful to show them pictures! They showed up on time the day of and were ready to work. They never took a break or stopped moving! They worked from about 9:30 am-2:00 pm to get everyone done on time. They did an amazing job! My sister hired her for her wedding beforehand and they did a great job for us then, so I'm glad I hired her for ours!

Kristen was great! I had my trial and wanted to make some changes on the actual wedding day and she was very accommodating. Everything came out better than I had even expected and it stayed up the whole night. The girls in the bridal party did a mix of updos and down and everyone looked amazing. I would definitely recommend Kristen!

Kristen does amazing work, she is timely, responsive. Kristen did my hair and makeup for my wedding, as well my mother's hair and the bridal party. I suffer from rosacea and she did an excellent job covering it up, so no red appeared all night. My hair stayed curled all night and even the next day, which for me a curl typically falls out within an hour. She is extremely professional and worked well with the other vendors and my wedding coordinator. Highly recommend Kristen!

Kristen and one of her team members, Danielle, were unbelievable!! They came to the hotel and did hair/makeup for my 3 bridesmaids and myself. I had met Kristen once when I went in for my trial and right away we were talking like if we've known each other for a long time! she is very personable, and makes you feel comfortable right away! My experience could've not been any better. The day off she timed everything perfectly, so we weren't rushing through anything and actually enjoying the experience! I would absolutely recommend her!

Kristen was AMAZING! Not only was she so friendly and easy to work with, but she sets everyone's curls before getting the actual styling part done. Which made a HUGE difference in our curls lasting all night long. She also fits right in with the group of girls and talks/gets to know everyone. It's nice having someone you feel comfortable and confident talking to so you're not afraid to tell them if you really love the style or not. Obviously, each of us LOVED Our style.

Kristen's passion and creativity really showed in the up-dos she did for my wedding. I had so many compliments on my hair, both during the wedding and after my trial. Kristen was very responsive to my emails when inquiring about her services and we immediately set up a trial. She has the best attitude and was a lot of fun to be around, while getting ready for my big day. There were quite a few girls having hair services done, and Kristen got the job done effortlessly. She listened to their needs and concerns and gave them the perfect up-do for my wedding. Everyone had their own style, but it all look cohesive and beautiful. My daughter's wedding was on 9/4/17 at Herrington on the Bay. Although Kristen was not available.
We had the pleasure of having both Avese and Nailah. They were awesome! They arrived on time and stayed till the last hair and makeup were completed. Both were highly professional and made sure we were pleased with the results. Everyone from the bride to the bride maids loved what choices they made for us. I would highly recommend Kristen. I have very thick and heavy hair. She did an amazing job on my hair and makeup. I've had so many compliments from those at the wedding and those who have seen photos. I had a morning wedding and had a hard time finding anyone and Kristen was flexible on the time. In my search through all the reviews I thought I was going to have to settle for anyone but I don't think I could have gotten anyone to do a better job. I had hair, makeup, airbrush, and lashes and I felt beautiful at my wedding.

I knew that I wanted a personal recommendation for a hair & makeup team to come to me to get ready for my wedding. When I reached out on Facebook, an old friend from high school recommended Kristen Foster - she had used her team on her sister's wedding day. So I reached out to Kristen and found that she was very reasonably priced compared to some of the other recommendations I had received, and I also loved the pictures of her work on her website. I scheduled a trial with Kristen - and then realized she was all the way on the eastern shore of Maryland! The drive wasn't too bad, and it was definitely worth it!! Kristen did an amazing job with my trial and I knew she was the one for me! :) She was willing to travel to Northern Virginia for the wedding. Since my wedding was at the end of December, and my mom and I are anxious worriers, we worried about Kristen and her team being able to get to us in Northern Virginia incase of snow. Kristen agreed to come down the night before incase there was bad weather!

Luckily, there was just rain the morning of my wedding. Kristen, Danielle, and Avese spent the morning getting me and my 7 bridesmaids and 2 moms ready for the big day. They were very professional but also lots of fun - they sang along to music with us, and we chatted throughout the morning. My bridal party and I looked amazing!! I have never felt more beautiful and more like a princess! I have gotten so many compliments on my wedding pictures - I know in part because of how amazing I looked, thanks to Kristen! I really looked like myself, but glammed up! Kristen was able to make everyone look great and everyone happy. She listened to requests and asked if we liked how things were looking. For example, my mom didn't love her hair at first (I think there was a miscommunication), but Kristen was able to fix it quickly and professionally. In the end, we all loved how we looked!

We really love Kristen and her team and would highly recommend her to everyone!!

Kristen did such an amazing job on both my hair and makeup. She is really personable so it made it really easy to have her and Danielle in my house on my wedding day! I am beyond thrilled that Kristen did my hair for my wedding. I found her through Wedding Wire and when I e-mailed her, she responded the same day. On the day of my trial, I showed her a couple of inspiration photos and she was awesome because she put her own spin on my up-do and had suggestions to make it even better. I was so happy. I wore my hair on the makeup trial day for more than 15 hours and I'm not sure how but my hair looked better as the day went on. And although she hair sprayed my hair a TON, it didn't look greasy or overly done. I loved my wedding day hair and I received so many compliments!!!! I felt so good and I danced so much and my hair didn't budge or get messy. I would recommend Kristen to anyone - kind, professional and very talented!!

Kristen was great! I had found stylists and makeup artists and compared prices and services. Kristen seemed the most affordable, and my bridesmaids couldn't make up their minds on who wanted what services. Kristen came to my house for a trial on hair and makeup before the wedding. I'm not the type to wear makeup often so I wanted a natural look. I tried the airbrush and I felt like it just wasn't for me. My hair looked awesome! On the day of the wedding, Kristen came to my bridal suite at the hotel and I explained my hesitation on the airbrush and I wanted to just go with no foundation--she eased my fears and convinced me to do the airbrush because it would show up in pictures better. I'm so glad she did! She really knows her stuff and is very experienced. The pics turned out fabulous and so did my hair and makeup! She worked with me and created a beautiful, more natural look that I was comfortable with. My eyes looked amazing with the colors she chose. One of my colors was rose gold and she worked that into the color scheme perfectly. Everyone commented on how beautiful I looked with hair and makeup. Kristen worked my hair piece into my hair style wonderfully. Everything looked perfect! My bridesmaids were completely satisfied with their hair and makeup also. Kristen brought another stylist the day of the wedding to make everything go smoothly. Everyone looked beautiful and elegant. It was truly a professional job and Kristen was a pleasure to work with. Very accommodating and helped me pull everything together to match my vision for my big day. Highly recommended!

I worked with Katie and Kathleen through Kristen. All three were extremely responsive and helpful. Even reaching out to me in the week before the wedding to confirm date, time and place. I'm not big into hair and make-up, but Katie and Kathleen worked with me to feel like myself but a little fancier. They also worked extremely well with my maid of honor and family to give them just the style they wanted on such an important day. They were happy to give suggestions when asked but never pushed a style on anyone. Everyone looked beautiful but still felt like themselves.

Kristen is amazing. I have never felt more beautiful in my entire life. I completed a trial with her prior to my wedding day, so I knew that I was in good hands and didn't need to stress at all. It's not common to find a stylist who can complete both hair and make up, and even rarer to find someone who can do both so well.

She brought along 2 assistants to help her to make sure that everyone went smoothly and was on time. (4 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls, 2 mothers, and a bride... so quite a few services that day!) The first assistant helped to curl and prep hair, and Avese turned my bridesmaids and flower girls into even more beautiful versions of themselves. Kristen completed make-up and hair for myself, my mother, and my mother-in-law.

I had told Kristen that I never wear make up, so I was afraid that I would look like a clown. Nope. She made me into the most beautiful bride. She used her skills to enhance my natural beauty.

I couldn't be happier with choosing Kristen. She is incredibly professional, but also very down to earth and fantastic to spend the morning with while getting ready for the biggest day of your life. She is incredibly friendly and very personable. She responds to communications promptly, and her pricing was extremely competitive for the area.

I would absolutely recommend her to anyone, and I can't thank her enough for everything that she did for me. Do yourself a favor, and stop looking for a stylist, because Kristen is THE one that you should choose.

Guys, do yourselves a favor and start your wedding day off right with Kristen Foster doing your hair. She did an up-do for me for my May wedding -- and despite it being 80 degrees and humid that day -- it looked great ALL. DAY. LONG. I can't tell you how many compliments I got specifically about my hair that day. Working with Kristen was a pleasure from start to finish. I got in touch with Kristen after having several frustrating experiences with salons regarding hair design for my wedding. From day one, she was responsive to my needs, communicated in a timely manner, and made me feel confident about choosing her as my vendor for this service. Kristen was not available for the day of my wedding, but she set up my trial and ultimately day of hair with Katie, who was awesome! I was torn between 2 styles and she offered to style both during my hair trial. I decided, then later changed my mind and it wasn't a problem. Katie arrived early the day of my wedding and finished my hair so quickly I was shocked. We were pressed for time and it was a huge relief to have one less thing to worry about. My hair looked amazing and I received so many compliments. I highly recommend Kristen Foster and her team. She is a true professional and definitely one of the best and easiest to work with vendors I dealt with. 5 stars all the way!

I can't say enough good things about Kristen Foster and her assistant Danielle! Kristen was fantastic to work with from our first email all the way through my big day! Kristen was super accommodating. She was able to swing a last minute trial when I knew I would be in town, and she was more than willing to show up at 5:45am to make sure my girls and I were ready for my first-look shoot at 9:30am! Her prices are very budget friendly and she's so talented. Kristen knew I'm not a big make-up wearer, and she created a look for me that made me feel glamorous yet comfortable in my own skin. My girls and I looked beautiful on my wedding day, and our hair and makeup held for several hours after the wedding. I highly recommend Kristen Foster!

I wholeheartedly recommend Kirsten Foster. Kristen herself was not available to do hair and makeup for my wedding, but she sent Avese and Felicia to do hair and makeup in her place. They did an amazing job, they were super easy to work with, and their prices were very reasonable, especially for this area. I did a hair and makeup trial with them on the day of my engagement shoot. While it looked great and the photos were beautiful, I didn't totally feel like myself, so I asked them to make a few changes for my wedding. They listened to my suggestions and created a gorgeous look. My husband couldn't get over it! They did a great job with my mom and sister's hair/makeup as well.

Kristen and her team were also very responsive and flexible. We ended up having to postpone the engagement shoot at the last minute due to bad weather, and the team rolled with it and rescheduled the shoot easily. As an out of town bride, I especially appreciated their adaptability!

I will recommend Avese with Kristen Foster to all my friends from now on! She is a wonderfully talented hair stylist who made my bridesmaids and me look absolutely beautiful. She works quickly and is fun to be around. I can't sing her praises enough! And, Kristen was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the booking process and was very flexible, which I greatly appreciated as an out-of-town bride. Definitely consider Kristen and Avese for your wedding hair stylists!

I would highly recommend Kristen and her team to anyone getting married. From the moment I met Kirsten at my trial, I could tell she was incredibly flexible and accommodating. She spent her time with me working to get my hair just right. On the day of my wedding, not only did she remember everything we had discussed months before, but she was totally open to a few last minute tweaks. Myself and everyone who had their hair done for my wedding looked amazing, and our hair lasted throughout the whole night!

Kristen was very responsive to emails and it was so nice to have the girls to come to hotel to provide services. Katie and Felicia were great to work with. We had a great time getting ready with Katie and Felicia and everyone looked beautiful! I got so many compliments on both my make up and hair and all of my bridesmaids loved their do's as well. I've honestly never felt so beautiful and done up, but still felt like me. Thanks for helping make my day special! Would highly recommend your services.

Kristen did a beautiful job on my hair and make up. She knew what she was doing and was honest with me about some the styles I liked and what would and would not look good due to the thickness of my hair. She was pleasant and timed things perfectly.

I got married on a cruise ship before it set sail. I got a call the day before my wedding that ship was going to be delayed and the wedding time was pushed back. Which meant hair and makeup had to be pushed back. Kristen and her team had no issues helping with this crisis and did a fantastic job making me and my girls look beautiful.

Kristen and Felicia were absolutely fabulous. I had eight bridesmaids that basically all decided they wanted makeup in addition to hair at the last minute. Not only were Kristen and Felicia able to still have us ready in time, but everyone seriously could not stop talking about how much they loved their "look." And of course, I received a million compliments and am loving my pictures, and I even still felt/looked like me with all the makeup (which is saying something since I usually don't wear much). Also, we had such a fun day getting ready with Kristen and Felicia. They fit right in to my group of friends and we just had a laid back fun time getting ready -- just laughs, no stress at all -- just as it should be.

I don't even know where to begin!! Words can't express how thankful I am to have had you as my hair stylist for my wedding. When I came to you for the trial, you were so laid back and just awesome! You made me feel so comfortable and even though I wasn't sure or knew how I wanted my hair to be, you provided great suggestions and listened to what I wanted. On the day of the wedding, you were so professional and calm even though your assistant couldn't be there with you. I know it must have been hard and sort of stressful for you, but you still did everyone's hair in a timely manner and made everyone look beautiful. I wouldn't have had it any other way! My hair was perfect!!!!!

Kristen Foster was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was recommended to me by Lily's Bridal - where I bought my wedding dress. She did an amazing job in my hair and make up trial and I was looking forward to working with her on my big day. The day of the wedding, she arrived on time with her make-up artist. Kristen worked on everyone's hair, while the other girl (I'm forgetful with names) worked on the make-up. Kristen then worked on both my hair and make-up. Because we were married in Baltimore City, there was no travel charge for her to come to us. Both of the girls were a lot of fun. They chatted away and it felt like they were part of us while they worked. I had 5 bridesmaids and 2 mothers. They were done before we needed to be ready. Everyone was absolutely thrilled with their hair and make up. And everyone looked beautiful. We had so many compliments all night. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to look amazing on their wedding day.

I was very pleased with the work Kristen and her assistant Felicia did for my wedding day. They worked great together making sure my whole bridal party looked stunning! I have been in weddings in the past that I did not like the outcome of my hair or other bridesmaids and I LOVED everyone's hair for my wedding. Kristen and Felicia were fun the hang out with the day of and Kristen also did a great job keeping me calm when everyone was asking me a bunch of questions. Kristen was an absolute pleasure to work with. I'm always nervous when it comes to getting my hair done because it has a mind of it's own, but during my trial with Kristen she was very attentive and listened to what I wanted my hair to look like for my big day. I had planned on changing my hair style for the reception but I was so pleased with my hair during the trial I changed my mind. On the day of the wedding she and another stylist was there on time (even though some of my bridesmaids weren't) and still got everyones hair done in time for pictures. All the girls looked so great and all of us were getting compliments left and right on how great our hair looked. I would definitely recommend Kristen if you are looking to get your hair done.

I knew the moment my hair and make-up trials were over I had to have Kristen on my wedding day. Not only did I look beautiful, I felt beautiful. I had so many guests come up to me and say how much they loved my hair and make-up. Kristen and her assistant, Felicia, arrived early the morning of my wedding and stayed until every bridesmaid, mom and flower girl looked flawless. I didn't know how I wanted my bridesmaids to look but Kristen used the few ideas I did have and made my girls look amazing. I'm so pleased with how everyone looks in our wedding photos.

Amazing!! Kristen has such talent, and I was so pleased with how my hair, as well as how my bridesmaids and mother's hair looked on my wedding day. Kristen was very patient in working with me and picky members of my wedding party in getting our hair to be exactly as envisioned, and it was. Everyone in my bridal party had different hair types and Kristen knew exactly what to do with each type to make it look great. Kristen arrived right on time and worked very effiently with her assistant to get everyone's hair done within our schedule. Kristen is my normal hair stylist, and I would definitely recommend anyone to her for bridal or everyday hair needs!

Kristen was not available to do the hair styling for my wedding so she contacted another stylist to do the job. Overall, I was very pleased. Communication was good and the stylist was professional and easy to work with (and sweet to boot!). The stylist was on time the day of the wedding and everyone's hair looked beautiful. My only issue was that the stylist was a tad bit late on finishing (which I take some responsibility for because I was a few minutes late on arrival). I was, however, very impressed when she finished my mother's updo in 15 minutes and it looked stunning!

Kristen was fabulous! I started with a trial about 6 weeks or so before the wedding. I loved my hair from the trial, but was not sure about the makeup. I sent Kristen my feedback and she was ready on the day of to make the adjustments I requested. She even worked with me to make sure that my skin was not shiny-since this is something that drives me crazy AND she used makeup to hide red bumpy skin on my upper arms, which was a great bonus! On the wedding day she came with plenty of time to spare. She did all 3 of my bridesmaids' hair, my mom's hair and also mine, plus makeup for me and one bridesmaid. I LOVED the result. I cannot tell you how many compliments we all got on our hair and my make-up. I would highly recommend Kristen and am so glad that she was available for my wedding day!

I wish I could post photos of my hair! Kristen not only gave me the greatest hair style I've ever had in my life, but she made it last all night, over 8 hours of wedding prep + events, and not a single hair was out of place. My bridesmaids all loved their hair as well, and Kristen was a lot of fun to hang out with while she was doing everything. She's incredibly affordable and was very accommodating.

I definitely recommend doing the hair trial. Not because of Kristen, who is one of the most competent people I've met, but after seeing how wonderful my hair looked, it eased a lot of the pre-wedding stress and gave me a lot more confidence that all the wedding pieces were finally coming together. She also had some great advice on how to add some body to my hair and how to prep it for the big day.

I definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for a fantastic and affordable hair stylist.

Kristen earned another 5 star rating! She and her assistant did a very professional and wonderful job for my daughter's wedding on July 28, 2012. Kristen was great to have in the bridal suite with the girls (and the commotion of the morning) because her professionalism and experience helped keep everyone on schedule. She and her assistant worked seamlessly through the girls, the flower girl and then even had the time to fit me and one other in - all at a very reasonable cost. Her tips ahead of time for my daughter (at the trial) wound up really allowing for my daughter to have the hairstyle she dreamed of for her wedding day. We received many, many compliments on all of the hairstyles throughout the day! Kristen is awesome - look at her reviews!!! Thank you again - a very terrific job!

Kristen Foster was my hair and makeup artist for my June wedding. She also did my mother-in-law, and two bride's maids hair. I was so thrilled with my makeup and hair! I needed some help, I don't wear makeup and my idea of a hair style is a ponytail. Kristen was able to give me a great half up-do that lasted through a night of outdoor dancing. I had men and women guests commenting on how great it looked! The makeup looked great in photos, but wasn't "too much" for a summer casual wedding. My mother-in-law and bride's maids looked great into the night also!

I would recommend Kristen to anyone!

My decision to have a makeup artist was very last minute. I was the only one having my hair done and its hard to find someone who was willing to do one person and who wasn't super expensive. And I figured I would have her do my makeup too because it was a special day and I figured, why not?

I went for a trial run and she made me look awesome. She even gave me advice to help my skin and I followed it. And it really did help keep my skin nice and clear. When I went back to work to pick up my hubby, my boss saw me and told me that I should definitely go with her cause she did an awesome job. Plus she was just fun to converse with and be around.

The day of she showed up and made me look like a beautiful bride. My makeup and hair lasted through the night! She even stayed until I put on my dress to fix my hair since the dress had to go over my head. My bridesmaids and mom even had a good time talking with her as she got me ready.

Kristen was super awesome and I was super lucky that she had my date open. She will definitely make you look super fabulous!

I can honestly say that I have never looked or felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day. My hair and make-up were perfect and Kristen was so fun to work with. I am so happy that I hired Kristen Foster for my wedding. She did hair styles for me and my four bridesmaids. She was easy to work with and flexible when it came to doing the trial. On the day of the wedding she was exceptional! She came right on time, worked quickly, and helped us stay on track for the morning. My friends all had very different hair types, but everyone's hair looked stunning and stayed all night! She was professional, but at the same time, great to be around as we were getting ready. I was so happy with how my hair looked, and it looked just as good when I got home after the wedding. That to me is impressive!

I booked Kristen for my bridal hair and makeup, and she does amazing work. I wanted to do my hair in a side ponytail with curls, and a flower, but she took it up a notch and made it more glam with some twists in the back (which we agreed on in my trial). She also did hair for seven of my bridesmaids, my mom and mother-in-law, and my husband's grandmother.

My only word of caution is that, if you have a large bridal party, either give a lot of time for everyone to get their hair and makeup done, or look elsewhere. Kristen and her two assistants worked very quickly (and did a great job) with getting everyone's hair and makeup done, but I felt that we were very rushed near the end.

To be honest, this is probably my fault more than Kristen's, because she had recommended that we start earlier (7:30 a.m. for a 4 p.m. ceremony) but I asked if we could start at 8:30 instead. Also, not everyone in my bridal party was around when Kristen's assistants could have been curling their hair or doing their makeup I probably should have listened to Kristen about the start time, because she and her assistants were having to really rush near the end.

Overall Kristen is talented, organized, and great to work with, and I have already recommended her to other friends who are getting married.

Kristen was really fun and great to work with. The hair trial couldn't have gone any better! I showed her photos of what I wanted, and of other failed trials and she gave me EXACTLY what I was looking for but couldn't describe. I felt like the cost was such a great value for how beautiful my hair looked.

Wedding day was an equally great experience. She has a very lovely, bubbly personality and moved quickly, getting all 5 styles done on time. All hairdo's were really beautiful and unique, tailored to what each of my bridesmaids wanted, but with the same romantic style. My mom is very hard to please, and she really liked her hair... that just shows how great Kristen is!

There were only two small "bummers" about my hair on wedding day. 1) that I forgot to bring the photos of my trial hair, so it's not exactly what I expected, and 2) my barrettes moved when I put on my wedding dress. If I could do it again, I would've obviously brought the trial pictures, and then asked her to stay to correct my hair barrettes. Nobody else noticed that they were wrong, so I only found out when I saw photos. However, I had a veil on in the wedding pictures so it's not like the moved barrette ruined anything, or was really her fault beyond that they could've been a little bit more secure.

But to be honest, these are such small things that I am still extremely happy with my wedding day hair and with choosing Kristen as my hair stylist. I don't think you will find a better value for your wedding day hair!

Kristen and her team made my bridal party and I look awesome on my wedding day. They completed hair and makeup for 7 bridesmaids, myself, a grandma, and two mothers all in about 6 hours! She created styles for each and everyone of us that fit our personalities. She made everything look great from the shortest hair to the longest. Everyone who brought a picture was amazed how close their hair looked to the picture they had brought her to mimic. Additionally, Kristen has a wonderful personality and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy with their look. She also did a fabulous job at my hair trial/bridal shoot. Kristen provided the hair and makeup services for my daughters wedding on October 9, 2010 and everyone looked simply amazing. She easily handled a very large wedding party and the girls commented numerous times that she made getting ready fun and easy. She was excellent about having my daughter try different hairstyles before the swedding to ensure that she had exactly the best style to compliment her face and veil. Krsiten is always so professional and pleasant and she truly grasps the concept of world class customer service. All I have to say is Kristen is AMAZING!! She is the only person I trust with my hair period. Not only was my hair awesome, but the make-up job she did was perfect!! I even had a bridesmaid who showed up the day of my wedding with a black eye. After Kristen was done with her make-up you couldn't even tell it was there, and the make up looked so natural! I am a fellow hairstylist in the wedding business I was looking for someone with my similar style. When I got engaged I wanted to find someone who I could trust to do my hair as well as being very OCD as I am when it came to making the end result perfect. Kristen did an amazing job listening to what I was going for as well as fixing a few things from the trial to the wedding day. Kristen did an absolutely amazing job with my hair and my bridal party's hair!
She listened to what we were looking for and put gorgeous, creative twists to the look.
All of my bridesmaids were extremely happy with the out come. I couldn't have imagined anything better.
Patrick did a beautiful job on our make-up. Everyone's look was polished and accentuating.

Kristen was fantastic. When I had a disaster that resulted in my needing to find a new stylist less than a month before my wedding she was the one I chose. She responded to every email within hours, answered every question I had and even made time to schedule a trial within the limited time we had. She was upbeat and fun to work with and everyone, including my mother and all of my bridesmaids looked incredible on my wedding day. I am so glad that my original plans didn't work out and that I worked with her. There's no one else that I spoke to, or have ever heard of that even comes close.

I heard about Kristen through my MUA Lori Nansi. Our trial was great--I came unprepared without any accessories and only a vague idea of what I wanted my hair to look like on my wedding day. Kristen worked with me and my long and very thick hair and came up with something beautiful and sturdy.

On the day of the wedding, she came to my house super early and did the hair for me and all of my BMs. We all chose different styles and Kristen ran with it. They all looked great and we got compliments all day on our hair. My hair style lasted through wardrobe changes and the headdresses for the Korean ceremony. It held up perfectly even several hours after the reception ended!

Kristen timed everything perfectly, was priced perfectly, and was very accomodating to my requests. She really enjoys what she does and is also super cute and fun so please give her a call. =)

Kristen did an amazing job on my hair for my wedding, and she also made my bridal party and the mothers and my grandmother look stunning! She was extremely flexible when it came to scheduling a trial...even opened the salon that she works from on a day that it was closed just to accommodate me! I was very pleased with the trial and surprisingly even more pleased with the "day-of" hair...it looked gorgeous and we all received so many compliments.

Kristen was an absolute joy to work with. She was always responsive when I had questions, concerns, etc. She was fun to be around and is a great value for her cost (and I have to mention that her costs are more than reasonable!).

Thanks Kristen for making us all look wonderful for my special day. I'm so glad I found you and recommend you to any bride in the DC area looking for the best stylist around without breaking their piggy bank!

Kristin did a great job for my wedding. She knew how to work with my thin hair to create an updo that looked like a thick bun, and she did a great job with all my bridesmaids - some of whom had some very difficult hair! She arrived on time and was honest with everyone about what would and wouldn't work with her hair. She was also very flexible in arranging my hair trial - my first hair stylist fell through at the last minute, but Kristin worked with me until we found a time that would work for the trial. I'd highly recommend her services!

Kristen did an excellent job with my hair and makeup, as well as my five bridesmaids hair. She came on time and was able to do everyones hair the way they wanted, and, when my junior bridesmaid didn't know how she wanted her hair, Kristen created an updo herself and made her look gorgeous.
I had a trial a week before the wedding, which made everything go smoothly on my wedding day. Kristen did a fantastic job and I recommend her to everyone.

I contracted with Kristen Foster Hair Artistry to do the hair and make-up for my wedding. Her and her associated did the hair of myself and 10 women in my wedding party. They also did the make-up of myself and 4 women in my make-up party. Kristen worked with me and my mother months prior to the wedding to nail down the perfect look for both of us. My mom is allergic to a lot of make-up and Kristen helped to recommend the perfect colors and products for my mom to purchase for the day of the wedding. Kristen came to my house and did a hair and make-up trial for myself and mom the day of my bridal shower. I wasn't in love with the look I originally picked and she helped to find the look that would make this bride happy. Kristen and her associate showed up on time and prepared the day of the wedding. Everything went off without a hitch because Kristen and my photographer both helped to out-line and coordinate schedules prior. I would recommend Kristen Foster Hair Artistry to all brides!

Brides work with Kristen to set up contracts and services; she was very nice to work with and got me all the information I needed. Communication was mildly difficult sometimes, but nothing that would ever stop me from recommending them or even using them again for another event. In fact, I recommended this company to my friend getting married in December and she is using them.

The hair stylists and makeup artist I had for my wedding were great. Katie did our hair and Felicia did our makeup. The are very experienced and very capable. Katie was very patient with me, I have curly hair and wasn't exactly sure how to style it. Our makeup looked very natural - we did not look overly done at all. We had our pictures at 12:30 and the ceremony wasn't until 5:00, I was nervous my makeup wouldn't last, but it did! It wasn't even the air-spray make up. My makeup looked just as good from the first picture to the last picture at 10:30! And given the hurricane force wind gusts we had during my outdoor wedding - our hair held up beautifully too!

The pricing is very competitive; I compared 4 different companies and Kristen Foster was the most reasonable. The artists were on-time and had us done even before we needed to be. Being ahead of schedule on wedding day is great! I would highly recommend this company to a bride to beautify her and her party!

Kristen did a fabulous job on my hair for my wedding. I was a little nervous after my trial as the look didn't come out quite right, but on my wedding day I explained to her the issues I had and she was able to understand my vision and my hair turned out gorgeous. I had a loose updo with all real hair, and I did not have any painful bobby pins or weird tension in my head all day/night. I was a pretty active bride and definitely moved around a lot, but my hair stayed put throughout. My bridesmaids were also extremely happy with the way their hair came out as well (2 down and 1 half-up).

Kristen and her team did a phenomenal job on my wedding day. My bridal party had their hair and makeup done...it was beautiful and the girls loved their hair had makeup. Kristen even had to work with a flower girl who didn't want her hair done...she was able to do the Flower Girl's hair (and add some sparkle) without any problems.
My friends and family commented how beautiful my hair and makeup was that day...and it lasted long into the evening.

Kristen and her girls were really great. We had 4 bridesmaids, 2 groomswomen, the mother of the bride, and and the bride, so there was a lot going on. However, they were right on time, and stuck right to the schedule. Hair actually got done a half an hour early! The girls all looked beautiful, and exactly how I wanted the look to be. My mother also was really happy with her hair and makeup, which is great because she doesn't typically wear too much makeup and wanted to look natural. She looked amazing. I also was incredibly happy with my hair and makeup. The makeup looked incredible, I got compliments all night. It also lasted through a very humid outdoor photo session, where I was sweating all over the place. Would definitely recommend!

Kristen was not available for my date, so I had my hair done by Avese and my makeup done by Danielle. They did a great job and were willing to travel very early for my morning wedding. My hair was done differently from my trial, which I was a little disappointed about at first, but Avese was happy to tweak it and I ended up liking it better than the trial! They were very friendly and easy to work with. The pricing seemed to be slightly less than other hair and makeup vendors I looked into. Overall, I am very happy to have booked with Kristen Foster Hair for my wedding!

Kristen and her assistant were fantastic! There were quite a few ladies that needed to be beautified and they were on time and on a roll. Everyone looked fantastic!

The only two complaints I can really stretch to make would be the quickness of a response (expect a few days) as she is busy with her jobs. Secondly, my hair ended up falling apart (curls went away by the time the first dance rolled around and the pins didn't keep my hair up all the way), but it was a very hot and humid day with an outdoor ceremony. Had I chosen an up-do rather than a half-up/half-down, I'm sure I would have not had any problems at all.

My makeup stayed on and was beautiful all night! She even gave me some lip gloss to re-apply after the kissing for the grand entrance. I can't recommend her enough for your wedding, and please let her be creative! My little sister couldn't work the hair that she had picked out and ended up even more pleased with the alternative Kristen figured out for her!

Kristen is a wonderful hair and make-up artist. I enjoyed my hair and makeup trial run and was excited to have Kristen be a part of my special day because if her sweet and down-to-earth personality. On the wedding day, Kristen and her assistant came to my parent's home and did an amazing job doing my hair/make-up along with 4 of my bridesmaids and my mother. Hair and make-up services are expensive in general, but thought that Kristen's rates were reasonably priced and well worth it!

Kristen was great and left all of my girls more than satisfied with their updos. One bridesmaid requested a fishtail braid, which did not turn out exactly the way she wanted, but was easily fixed by tucking and pinning it up. She was reasonably priced and always responded to my emails quickly and professionally. When Kristen arrived on my wedding day, she initially informed us our hair shouldn't be clean or wet (too late! as I had run and wanted to shower). But as the day went on, Kristen warmed up, was humorous, and did a great job making us all look great :)

Originally thinking that I was going to do my own hair and makeup for my wedding, I was so fortunate to be able to book Kristen's team somewhat last minute. Felicia and Avese were so flexible in being able to fit me in for a last minute hair and makeup trial while I was home one weekend for my bridal shower. They were so fun to talk with, listened to my ideas, and I was very satisfied with the overall result. On the day of the wedding my bridesmaids, mother, and I were all ready well before the 2:00pm end time we had needed in order to get to the venue on time. This left time for Felicia to do a final touch up on everyone's makeup. My hair, regardless of the humidity, stayed in tact all evening. All of my bridesmaids and my mom were happy with how they looked- everyone was beautiful! Felicia and Avese did a great job and were a pleasure to work with- would definitely recommend.

Kristen was great! She worked very efficiently and got through all 6 of us in roughly 3 hours at our hotel - despite a migraine! My hair was beautiful and it stayed that way all night - and was never uncomfortable. Best of all though, she works with you until it's right. My mom was a little uncomfortable with the way her hair looked at first. Kristen didn't take it personally, she just made a few adjustments and within 5 minutes it had been fixed. Very professional, very sweet, and very talented. I'd hire her again without hesitation.

I had Avese do my hair and makeup, and also the hair for 6 of my bridesmaids. She did wonderful. My only complaint is that there was a lot of confusion, mostly because of the management, about how many bridesmaids there were, how much to pay, etc. The minus points I gave are because of my not-so-great experience with the lady that runs the business. The reason I went with them was because I waited too long to find a makeup and hair company, and they had a good price out of the few people that were still available.
