Saved us with her skills!
Krista was absolutely phenomenal. It was only my mom and I needing hair/make-up on a Sunday afternoon on a holiday weekend. I searched high and low but could not find anyone - until I found Krista. The search was well worth it. She's kind, personable, attentive, responsive, and reasonably priced. She made fast friends with my entire family while doing just mine and my mom's hair/make-up. I was incredibly happy with both final results. Krista, you're amazing! -

Krista nailed my vision of elevated natural beauty
Krista perfectly executed my vision! She was very open to feedback during our trial and made me feel beautiful on wedding day. She uses the highest quality skin prep and makeup too! On top of that, she created a great energy wedding morning, making easy conversation with my family, friend and soon to be in-laws. She made everyone feel special and helped distract me from my nerves. Thank you for sharing your many talents Krista!!! -

Krista brought such an important energy and positivity to my wedding morning. Getting ready with the Girls was only made that much sweeter because of Krista's presence. Every bridesmaid was flawless in that enviable natural way. I've been doing my own/friend's makeup for events for 20 years, so when it came time to hire a professional for my wedding day, the standards were high. Krista came highly recommended and her personality just sealed the deal. It should also be mentioned that I have highly sensitive skin, rosacea, and to top it all off, I am both a hot-natured person (sweat!) and a crier! Krista handled all these idiosyncrasies with aplomb. I felt and looked like the most beautiful version of myself for more than 12 flawless hours. Oh and bonus: she never uses full-strip lashes! Only singles, for what IMO is a much more natural and attractive and comfortable look. Thank you Krista!!! -

I hired Krista after a friend recommended her. I hired her to do a trial for my bridal portraits and for the day of my wedding. For the day of my wedding she did my makeup along with my mom’s, MILs, 6 bridesmaids and 2 flower girls. She was professional, funny, enthusiastic and my biggest cheerleader that day! Every single one of us loved our makeup and the fact that we felt beautiful but as natural and comfortable. I highly, highly recommend her to any bride for their special day!! -

Enhances your beauty, instead of covering it all up
I have worked with Krista a few times. She did my makeup for my 40th and for my elopement years after. I love her from head to toe. She comes with EVERYTHING and ANYTHING you may need for those challenges (like sun burns, aging skin, boob creases, etc). She is pure magic. Extremely professional and seasoned in her field. I will continue to hire Krista for all my makeup/ hair needs! -

This woman is INCREDIBLE, as well as her team. I could not have imagined a better outcome when I saw my makeup and hair the morning of my wedding! She even offered to bring coffee, she was an absolute godsend from the beginning and her and Alexis helped me feel so calm and relaxed the morning of which I did not think was ever going to be possible ha! They went above and beyond and made my mother, my sister, and I beyond perfect plus they are so so kind and considerate. Thank you both so much for truly making me feel and look like an absolute Queen ❤️ -

I am beyond happy that I hired Krista to be my hair and makeup artist for my wedding on 9/4! After I did my trial with her, I knew I made the right decision by booking her. Both during the trial and on my wedding day, Krista made me feel at ease with her kind and genuine personality, was super flexible with anything I wanted to change (and doing my sister's lashes when she decided she wanted them on the day of), stayed longer than planned to make sure everything was right and everyone was satisfied, and made me feel so confident. I wasn't sure exactly how I wanted my hair on the day of the wedding, but because Krista is so good at listening, she helped me arrive at the perfect hairstyle! She even gave me a sparkly hair piece to put in my hair that I wouldn't have thought to get myself and it looked so pretty. In addition to the fantastic customer service, Krista is extremely skilled at her craft - she made my makeup look natural as I wanted given I don't usually wear much makeup, yet beautiful. The entire process with Krista was simply 10/10. If she is available for your event date, book her - you will be so glad you did!! -

Krista is the absolute best makeup artist a bride could ask for! Not only does she do amazing work, but she is also the sweetest person in the world. Krista goes above and beyond for her clients. FIrst, she drove more than an hour (probably closer to 2 hours) to my house to do my trial. She spent hours showing me the products she uses, giving me makeup tips, and walking me through my wedding day look. On the wedding day, she showed up bright and early at our hotel to get started - she even offered to bring us Starbucks! Krista made the wedding day relaxing and fun. She was so easy going when plans changed and will do anything she can to make sure you have everything you need as the bride - even if that means getting someone to bring you Chick-fil-a! If you don't hire Krista for her awesome personality, hire her for her incredible skills. I have oily skin but my makeup didn't budge the whole day! She made me and every single one of my bridesmaids feel beautiful and confident all day and night! -

Krista was an absolute gift on my wedding day. The makeup was beautiful and made me feel so confident! I cried a few times on my wedding day and my makeup didn't move! She included all of my input, and came up with the perfect look for the day! Krista was also such a calming presence during the wedding morning. She even offered to pick up coffee for everyone! She was lighthearted and fun, and helped me stay calm and centered. My bridal party absolutely loved her too! She did a beautiful job on all of them, and kept them laughing the entire time. Krista is a talented, kind, and genuine person, and I cannot recommend her enough! -

I can’t say enough about Krista. She is my new BFF ❤️after spending 12 super fun hours with her. My daughter and I were first in her makeup chair at 8:00 am and makeup and hair looked perfect 15 hours later! Actually didn’t wash it all off for THREE days 😂 and had no blemishes from it at all, and it stayed on that long! The individual eyelashes were the best thing ever, and she will do as little or as much as you want. of course, I was all in! Would have left lashes on forever! I am a huge makeup girl, but this was by far the best my makeup has looked ever and everyone’s hair too was phenomenal! She knew I loved bronzing and highlighting so I kept going back for more all day and pretty sure she did my whole upper body🙌🏻. I loved our makeup and hair so much. She was just so much fun, amazing at what she does, and talks you through what she is doing the whole time. She treated my cousin “the bride” like a QUEEN and all of the bridesmaids like princesses. She was the sweetest ever to my daughter and lil cousin the jr. Bridesmaids. She sang their praises all day and made them feel special and beautiful too. She touched us up all day long even up until we walked down the aisle and gave me some fabulous lip gloss, and yes I walked down the aisle with it in hand!
Krista had everything we possibly needed with her: a million brushes and makeup for days, lumify eye drops for super white eyes, breathe mints, eye drops, and she even saved the day with some “NASA” tape to help my sticky bra disaster stay put and saved a few other sewing emergencies! She went above and beyond for the bride! My cousin’s makeup and hair looked like a magazine cover!! Krista’s personality is the BEST and is a joy to be around: the sweetest and loads of fun ! I’m not the type of person who is into makeup, however, Krista gave me exactly what I needed! Natural, light make up, and most importantly an amazing time getting ready with the girls!! Krista made my wedding morning sooooo much fun with her lovely personality! Krista got all 6 of us ready on time and made every one of us very happy!! I never thought I’d enjoy getting hair and makeup done this much and sooo want to go back to that day 😭😭 -

I highly recommend Krista to anyone looking for a fantastic hair and makeup artist! She was wonderful in every way. First of all, she made me, my bridesmaids, my mom and my mother-in-law look and feel amazing with flawless and natural-looking makeup. But maybe even more importantly, she was so sweet, fun, professional, and made my wedding day that much better. She showed up on time, with the coffee she offered to pick up (!!), full of energy and got the day started in a great way! She was very responsive, professional, and worth every penny. Once I found Krista, I knew that she had to be my makeup artist for my wedding. And I am so happy that I hired her because she went above and beyond for my wedding. Not only did she make me feel flawless and beautiful on my wedding day, but her calming, genuine, and fun personality was incredibly grounding on the day of the wedding, which can be a stressful day. She is an artist through and through - extremely meticulous with every detail and listens to every piece of feedback that you might have. She gave me individual lashes that I literally forgot about at the end of the night (which she said I would!). But in addition to being my makeup artist, she also took some "getting ready" photos of me before my photographer arrived AND taught my mom how to lace up my dress so that I didn't look like a hot mess in the back :) If it wasn't for Krista...I would've been extremely stressed out on my big day. If you are looking for a makeup artist in the Raleigh/Chapel Hill/Durham area, look no further, Krista is who you need on your dream glam team! Thanks, Krista, for everything! -

Krista is absolute magic. I am SO SO picky about my makeup. Krista made me look absolutely perfect - I can’t even put into words how thankful I am for her. She is so genuine, so positive, and such a talented makeup artist. I was so pleased on my big day. I looked so natural yet so perfect. Don’t skip out on the fake lashes - she KILLS it with those!!! **STOP SCROLLING** The reason you shouldn’t book Krista
Y’all! you’re obviously looking through these reviews for a reason. So, I am going to give you the reason you shouldn’t book Krista as your wedding hair and makeup artist.
Before I give you that reason, I want to let you know about our experience as wedding photographers working with Krista. After photographing weddings for almost 7 years now my wife, Kala, and I have literally worked with HUNDREDS of hair and makeup artist. Even as a man that has no idea about makeup, after photographing brides for so long I can recognize beautiful flattering makeup, and makeup that’s not so beautiful or flattering. Our first time working with Krista was by chance at a styled shoot. Even while shooting, during the closeup shots of the model bride we could distinguish the artisan handiwork that Krista creates. The detail she works with is unmatched, and she is leagues above anyone in this field. Each time we have worked with her since we have realized she does this every time with every bride.
Other than being significantly talented with the hair and makeup brush, I would be remiss if I didn’t comment on Krista’s other talent. She fills the room with this infectious love, gratitude, happiness and calming personality that spreads to everyone including the bride and her party. Once Krista has completed all of her tasks, brides walk a little different and stand a little taller. She transfers confidence to each of them something I have never seen another artist be able to do.
So now for the biggest reason you shouldn’t book Krista. Well it’s not a reason you shouldn’t, it’s a reason if you couldn’t. If she is unavailable on you date, that is the only reason to continue to look for a different hair and makeup artist… Actually on second thought there is no reason you shouldn’t book Krista, you should probably just change your date to include her 😊.

Words can’t even begin to describe how absolutely amazing Krista is. I wanted to write this review the day after our wedding to truly capture how much of an impression she made on not only me but my family & friends. From the very beginning, the first time speaking to her I knew she was meant to be part of our big day, I was so nervous trying to ask all of the right questions and she immediately put me at ease and it didn’t feel like it was all one business transaction. A month before our wedding she even checked in just to see how I was doing, not to schedule anything & not to make any decisions...that meant so much to me & truly shows how much she cares about her brides! The positivity, light & energy she brings with her is truly amazing. On top of all of this she is BEYOND talented, a true artist. She brought all of my bridal glam dreams to fruition and have never felt so beautiful. All of my bridesmaids raved about how amazing they all looked, she tailored to each individual person perfectly. She did my low maintenance Mom’s hair & make up, and kept her looking natural (as requested) with just the right amount of glam! She went above & beyond for me and I cannot rave about her enough. Any brides would be lucky to have her with you on your big day & I am incredibly grateful she was with me for mine!!! -

I didn't know my face could look that good. :) My entire wedding party was in love with how they looked! I had a bit of a meltdown right before I had to get in Krista's chair for my makeup, but she just took charge, made sure I had everything I needed, and told me silly jokes to help me stop crying! By the end of the day, I felt absolutely stunning, and wanted to invite her to come to my wedding as a guest! Krista is an absolute gem! -
