I was looking just looking for a small two tier cake for cake cutting pictures and Kristen knocked it out of the park. The cake was perfect !! The communication was great- plus she delivered the cake which was super helpful.

She is truly talented, and I am so thankful she shared her talent with us and our guests. The cake and cupcakes were delicious and beautiful!! We had a variety of flavors with a tower of 90 cupcakes with a 6 inch round cake. She executed what was asked and made sure our setup matched our theme, so happy!

Best wedding cake ever!
Our wedding cake and cupcakes were amazing! Everyone loved them! We got strawberry with cream cheese frosting and it was delicious! I especially loved that they gave us a complimentary boxed top tire for our 1 yr anniversary cake!

It was such a joy working with Kristen to make my dream wedding cake come to life this past Saturday on our magical day! Over a year ago we did our first cake tasting and knew right away that this is who we wanted making the cake. The samples were so delicious. We ended up having two flavors - the carrot and traditional. Typically people don’t eat much of the wedding cake at weddings. When I tell you people were going back for seconds - it is not an exaggeration! We got so many compliments on how delicious it was! And the appearance is just as I had dreamed! I will definitely be recommending her for everyone I know getting married in the Savannah area!

The cake was 3 tiers with each being a different flavor-- traditional with raspeberry preserves, red velvet, and blueberry lemon. All were super moist and delicious. The red velvet was my favorite. I would highly recommend Kristen.

Two Sided Cake
KM Cake Design out did themselves with our wedding cake! My husband is a huge hockey fan and wanted his team on one half of the cake. So one side of our cake was a beautiful wedding cake and the other side was the Boston Bruins hockey team logo and colors. KM Cake Design did an amazing job splitting the two designs and making it look elegant! Now talk about some delicious flavors as well! They were so good we choose three: chocolate cake with raspberry preserves, white cake with strawberry preserves, and strawberry cake with strawberry mousse. The cake tasted amazing and it was a huge hit with all of the wedding guests. We would definitely recommend KM Cake Design to anyone looking for an awesome, tasty cake!

Kristen did an amazing job throughout the wedding planning process all the way to the day of our wedding. Kristen does amazing cakes! KM was an easy choice after 4 other cake tasting. We weren't sure if we wanted a vanilla or chocolate cake, but as soon as we tasted her cake and fillings we knew. Her cake is incredibly moist and with the right amount of filling to compliment the flavors. We chose a chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and strawberry filling. The mousse was light and creamy and the strawberry was the perfect amount of sweetness. Very much like chocolate covered strawberries, my personal favorite!!
Kristen was very accommodating when midway through the planning we added an extra tier and design element.
Our venue allowed minimal setup time and she took this news in stride and made it work. Our cake was set up on time and was absolutely stunning. This was also an outside wedding with high humidity from morning rain and impending evening rain. Temps were in the upper 80s. No rain for the ceremony thankfully and the cake help up beautifully.
For the design, we preferred a "less is more look" with our cake. Sometimes with a more "simple or classic" designs, cakes can come off looking basic. No concerns of that here. Her technique is flawless, giving our cake an elegant sophistication. Did I tell you how good the cake tastes?! Better than the cake tasting! Wedding cake for breakfast the next day was still incredibly moist and oh so yummy! Everyone at the wedding commented on how moist, delicious, and beautiful the cake was.

Kristen was very responsive (within a couple of hours, if not sooner) and is VERY reasonably priced! We also asked her to make some other small bite sized desserts (cupcakes and cake balls) which she happily did and they were also delicious! The flavor I wanted for the grooms cake wasn't one she typically offered but she was very accommodating and said she could do it anyway! We are from out of town and she was so flexible with scheduling a time to meet with her. We ordered three 10in cakes from her, each different flavor and different design. She BLEW our expectations out of the PARK! Kristen is amazing… and so are her cakes! She did our wedding cakes and we were beyond thrilled! I met with two other cake designers and they were good but not great. I wasn’t blown away by the flavors or the prices. Kristen, on the other hand, had some of the best tasting cakes and such creative combinations. And her prices were so reasonable. She is SO talented with taste and with decorating - we ended up with two cakes and three flavors and they were delicious and gorgeous! Kristen worked with us to have them decorated exactly like I wanted.
So her cakes are moist and yummy and beautiful but this story is why you need to book Kristen. The night of me wedding my maid of honor was a little (a lot) drunk… and she sat on the top tier of the wedding cake that my new hubby and I were supposed to eat on our one year anniversary. I didn’t even know it happened but my bridesmaid texted Kristen at 3am and told her what happened (knowing how upset I would be when I found out). Kristen remade us a new top tier, brought it to my mom the next day and even redecorated it. All without asking for more money or even seeking gratitude. Truth be told, if my bridesmaid hadn’t told me what happened (because she was so impressed with Kristen), I would never have known. But when our 1 year anniversary hit and my husband and I were able to eat the top tier of our wedding cake, I was again reminded of how much I appreciated what Kristen did. (And the cake was still delicious and moist after a year in the freezer!!) She went above and beyond what was expected or required to make a bride very happy. You really can’t ask for more from your vendors. Kristen is remarkable and I appreciate not only her amazing talent but also her willingness to ensure her brides are taken care of and happy!

I had a small, 6in cake for our reception. A small and VERY VERY VERY delicious cake. We served ice cream as our main dessert, but we did want a cutting cake for tradition purposes. It was a beautiful "naked" cake that our florist draped with greenery matching our decor. When we cut into it and tasted it we were blown away. The best wedding cake I'd ever tasted for sure. Definitely recommend, but if you're planning on get a small cake, trust me you're going to wish you got more to go around!!

From the first time we met Kristen at our tasting, she was very professional and polite, and took lots of notes about what we were interested in. She gave us helpful suggestions, and the cake she brought for the tasting was delicious. The fillings that she had to offer were amazing too. Our wedding planner (Design Studio South) suggested we use this vendor for our wedding cake and cupcake display. We were short on time to really get quotes from others or to do a tasting, so we went with her suggestion and boy was it a good one! The wedding cake was honestly delicious and several of our guests told us the same. It was moist, and the icing was perfect sweeetness. She was able to make an Air Jordan shape for my hubby as requested.
The cupcakes were also delicious. We can't wait to visit Savannah again and have a cake made for just us!!!!

Kristen's cakes were amazing!! She did our wedding cake and the groom's cake. She made our visions come to life and they were beautiful and so yummy! She was so easy to work with and responded very quickly to all of our emails. We would highly recommend Kristen for any special occasion.

We had a specific vision in mind for our cake and KM Cake Design practiced until it was perfect! We wanted a tree/bark look cake and Kristen worked on practice cakes until we were happy with it. The final cake was so pretty and tasted so good, everyone loved it, especially me and my husband. We are so happy we had KM Cake Design make our cake for our big day. She is super flexible and did an amazing job.

Kristen was a joy to work with. She did a wonderful job replicating the design on our cake. Everyone said the cake & mini desserts were delicious. We will definitely be using her again for our cake needs.

Absolutely amazing as always!!! The wedding cake for my daughter was beautiful and tasted wonderful. It's not always that you get both taste and beauty all in one with other places but every single cake that she has made for us has been PERFECT, BEAUTIFUL and FLAVORFUL

Km Cake Design did a fantastic job for our wedding. They were priced very competitively and we ended up getting a 4-tier cake with 3 different flavors. We really enjoyed the tasting and the amount of different flavors we could choose from. I would highly recommend KM Cake Design to others!!

Our wedding cake from KM cake design was delicious and beautiful. Kristen is so easy to work with and we enjoyed the time we spent with her at the tasting. Her cake is light and fluffy and the fillings are divine. I gave her a photo from a magazine of what I hoped our cake would look like and when I saw ours at the reception, it was better! I would recommend her to anyone.

As an out of town bride, it is so challenging to find vendors for your wedding. After much research KM Cake Designs kept coming up on the list. We were so happy we chose Kristen for our wedding cake. Self labeled foodies, dessert was very important to us. Not only was our cake beyond beautiful, it was so yummy. Kristen also did a few other desserts for us and they also exceeded our expectations. All of our guests went back for seconds!!

KM Cake Design did an amazing job with our wedding cake! We sent Kristen a picture of what were looking for and she made our cake look exactly the same. Plus, it was absolutely delicious, our guests couldn't stop talking about it! I highly recommend working with Kristen!

Kristin Mills with KM Cake Design is absolutely wonderful. Her cake tastes amazing! It is so moist and perfect. She made a 5 tier cake for my Indian Fusion Wedding, along with an R2D2 Groom's Cake and they were both phenomenal! I highly recommend KM Cake Design!

Kristen of KM Cake Design made the most fabulous cake for my daughter's wedding! They couldn't choose a flavor, so each layer was a different flavor. It all looked amazing! Let me also tell you about her wonderful customer service. I was planning my daughter's wedding from afar. I have a friend at home who is a certified pastry chef and I wanted to also support her business. I purchased all of my desserts for the dessert bar from my friend at home, and the cake from Kristen. I flew into Savannah with my "Michigan desserts," and Kristen had me come straight to her shop and let me store them in her cooler. She also delivered them to the venue and set them up on the dessert table with the cake. Now mind you, I had not purchased these desserts from her, just the cake. She went above and beyond in terms of accommodating us. I'd give her ten stars for customer service if I could. She is a wonderful baker and a great person to work with!

Kristen did an amazing job! We were blown away by her cake and it tasted great too! Her gum paste flowers were professional quality. The whole thing was wedding magazine worthy. Also, she had great prices. 100% recommend this talented lady!

Kristen was a joy to work with. The cake turned out beautifully and was exactly what I wanted. It was also delicious and I heard rave reviews from my guests. As an out of town bride, my only beef with her was that she was sometimes hard to get in touch with. That being said, she DELIVERED 100% and I would not hesitate to contact her again.

We have a feeling our wedding was an exception for KM Cake Design: our wedding cake was the wrong style/colors and looked as though it had been dropped. Our grooms cake was paper thin and looked as though a 3 year old had frosted it. Perhaps this can be chalked up to a bad day for KM Cake design, as we know she has done beautiful work in the past. Kristen was compliant about compensation after the fact, but this doesn't take away from the embarrassment of having to set these cakes in front of our guests.

Cake disaster
We hired Kristen Mills of KM Cake Design to make our multi-tier wedding cake. We paid her in March 2022, and in April I reached out to her to coordinate a tasting in May during a trip we planned to the venue. Never heard from her. On our wedding day, she arrived with the cake at some point after the ceremony. Our guests that saw the cake said it was leaning when she brought it in. Before we could do the cake cutting, the whole thing toppled over. The next day I emailed Kristen to find out if she had been made aware. She then told me that she had been told and she went to local grocery stores to buy cakes to serve to the guests. At first, she said that had never happened to her in 10+ years of cake decorating and tried to blame the warm temperature at the venue. She ultimately agreed to refund our money and I've been chasing her ever since. I was awarded a judgement against her, but now she has moved and the sheriff's office can't find her to serve her with a summons to appear before the judge. She is no longer a vendor for Red Gate Farms and no telling where she is now. I have spent countless hours trying to get my money back. Our wedding was perfect, other than this disaster. She also sent the anniversary layer in a box that was not tall enough and smashed the top. This cake was terrible, it was dry and old. I would not recommend her for school cupcakes, much less a wedding cake.

Cake Nighmare
Day of coordinator had to run to grocery store for cake. Care was fully paid for but became unresponsive week before weeding but did not state she could not do wedding. Finally showed up 5 minutes before I walked down aisle (2 hours after her drop off time) and left a cake that was lopsided and missing a tier. Very unprofessional and upsetting.
