Send the message, make the call, or send a messenger pigeon NOW because you definitely want Kirsten to be your photographer for whatever event you have coming up!
Last year, I reserved her for my 2021 wedding in MN while living in FL. My wedding venue had closed down and no one, other than her, contacted me to tell me about it. She let me know all of the details needed, then kept in close contact with me to discuss other options since she knew it wasn’t as easy for me being far away. She even contacted other venues as possibilities for us. When we decided to do a smaller wedding last summer instead, she was the first person to offer help with everything and anything I needed to ease my mind until I could get up there to check things out for myself. When the day came, she was everything I imagined and so were the photos!
Fast forward 6 months, she was in FL on a family vacation and offered to take maternity photos for my husband and I. She checked out spots in advance, helped picked out outfits that would work with the beach setting, and took a whole evening out of her vacation to take photos for us that we’ll cherish forever.
I honestly cannot say enough about this girl! She is one of those people who you meet and feel like you’ve known forever. There is enough stress that goes into wedding planning/family pictures, but she truly does everything she can to ease it along the way. Thanks so much, Kirsten! -

Kirsten was nothing short of amazing. The relationship we created over the 9 months of planning was perfect. All the check-ins, suggestions, offerings to help us with planning, etc. She knew what I wanted and more. The interactions she had with our family and friends is exactly what you want in a photographer. She had fun with us and we had a blast with her. I didn't want her to go home at the end of the night! Highly suggest asking her to be apart of your wedding. You will be so happy with the results. Pictures and relationship were amazing. She got all our pictures back to us under 2 weeks. This is amazing! She was so much more than a photographer. She helped with the timeline and during the day, she kept people moving and everything running smoothly. I had nothing to worry about on our day. It was the most stress-free, perfect day I could ask for. I can't thank her enough for making our day so special! I can't wait for our next opportunity for pictures. She will be our go-to person no doubt. -

Sophia Sent on 10/13/2017When I started the search for a wedding photographer I knew that I wanted someone who could truly capture the love and excitement shared on our special day - I can honestly say that I found that with Kirsten Barbara Photography!! When I first met with Kirsten, we instantly hit it off and I knew we were making the right choice! From our engagement pictures where Kirsten got my now husband to become more comfortable in front of the camera, to the multiple meetings creating a timeline, going over our photos - we were so impressed. Our big day was absolutely perfect and Kirsten was able to capture the magic in its entirety! I am so thrilled with the quality of her photography, she truly gave us memories that will last a lifetime! Kirsten's personality makes working with her so easy! Our entire wedding party, family, and many guests commented on how much fun it looked like we were all having with our photos - and it really shows! I was very impressed with how quickly Kirsten would not only respond but also how quickly she got our photos back to us! And the pictures are absolutely breathtaking!! I would 110% recommend Kirsten Barbara Photography to any couple that is looking to have their special day captured exactly as it happen - love, happiness, and all! -

Kat Sent on 10/12/2017Kirsten did an amazing job as our photographer! We had a destination wedding, so we were unable to meet with photographers, but Kirsten was very friendly and easy to work with. From detail shots to group shots, the photos are all beautiful. The day was unbelievably foggy, and our wedding photos are still so gorgeous. We love all of our photos and are struggling to pick out our favorites! We are so happy we chose Kirsten Barbara Photography for our wedding day!

Kirsten was a photographer I found by searching online for my elopement/micro wedding and at first I was really excited to work with her. There were moments leading up to the wedding day that gave me a little pause as to her follow through - like she sent me the form that had me list all the posed family photos I wanted only a few days before my wedding and then on the day of, didn’t even reference the list I sent her, leaving me to guess if we captured everything I wanted. Despite these moments of pause, the wedding day went well and she seemed great. She even seemed to go above and beyond to capture shots that I just knew would be beautiful. But after the day ended is when things took a turn for the worse in terms of her communication and follow through. I texted her 3.5 weeks after my wedding and she told me she would have the photos done at about the 4 week mark. At 5 weeks when I didn’t have any photos, I texted again - no response. At 6 weeks, I texted again asking for a status update on the photos; she told me she had something come up and would have the photos done the following week (by roughly 7 weeks). I texted her after the 7 week mark had passed with no photos, and she said she had had her VA email the photos. When I checked my inbox and junk folder and still did not have anything, I texted her the same day to inform her I didn’t have anything; she said she would check on it that same night after work. The next day I still didn’t have any photos and she said she would check on it later that night (again). The next day, still with no photos, I texted her again. She never texted back. 2 days later, I texted just asking for an update; No response. 3 more days passed with no photos and no response back; I texted again, no response. I waited 1 week for any kind of text response then emailed her, again with no response. So as of this review, it has been almost 1 month since she communicated or responded to me at all. It has been 11 weeks 3 days since our wedding and I still have not seen a single photo. She promised me delivery of my photos on 3 different occasions without actually delivering them. I have repeatedly asked for an update on when I might see the photos. I am so sad and frustrated by her lack of professionalism and communication. She had such good reviews everywhere I looked that I never thought she would turn out to be like this. Brides and Grooms, think twice before booking her. I will update this if/when I receive the photos or have resolution to this.
