A birthday celebration 🎂 not a wedding.

Michel Berda was supremely professional managing a series of photos for a family of 11 gathered for a special birthday event. He had the perfect eye for setting us up to our pictorial advantage at our beautiful hotel setting. Michel who has a sense of humor, helpful with our crowd was easy to work with. The photos are fantastic.

Michel is an absolute professional

I contacted Michel for a surprise engagement photo shoot. Michel gave me a call and asked many questions on what is important to me and what I was looking for. He had amazing recommendations on a great beach location and made everything so easy. His professionalism and experience blew me away. His quality of work is unquestionable and the best sunset photos that I have ever seen.

The absolute best!

Michel from King Street Photo was an absolute dream to work with from the very beginning! He was super quick to respond, always polite and professional, and willing to do whatever was necessary to ensure that we had a perfect experience from start to finish. He was very flexible, adding time and services as I asked, and on the day of our elopement, he showed up early, had great ideas for photo locations, and even drove me and my husband around from location to location, since parking on the peninsula is difficult. Our photos were absolutely gorgeous, and Michel made us feel special and important on our big day, which was absolutely huge since we eloped and Michel was therefore the person we interacted with the most on our wedding day.

Everything we wanted

Michel is a star! His photos speak for themselves, but as a bonus, we loved having engagement photos included in our package, since that helped us all get to know each other prior to the big day. We got to practice! Michel is easy to work with and flexible to the clients’ needs. Communication was easy and timely. As a couple that is not accustomed to being photographed professionally, we appreciated guidance on how to pose, where to look, etc. By the time of the big day itself, the timeline he would work from was written and shared with everyone, and everything happened exactly as planned, which helped us relax a little and know nothing would be forgotten because Michel adheres to his timeline, which is based on his own experience and knowledge of local venues. All added value that you can’t deny. It was a magical day and we have the images to prove it!

Excellent Service

Michel did an incredible job capturing my engagement. He was very helpful every step of the way and for someone who was not up to date with Charleston (me), he even helped recommend the location for the proposal, hotels, and restaurants to make it the perfect experience. I am very thankful for how accommodating he was as he took us to multiple picturesque spots around Charleston for additional photos. He even allowed us to enjoy time on the Dewberry roof for some drinks which allowed us to let the proposal sync in before driving us to another spot to capture some more photos. 10/10.

Superb Quality & Excellent Experience

I rarely write reviews, but King Street & Michel were so exceptional that it would be wrong not to tell everyone that they will have a better experience with Michel as their photographer. My wife and I eloped to Charleston and didn’t know anyone. We decided at the last minute to have a professional photographer and lucked into King Street. It felt like a good friend was giving us the experience of a lifetime. We don’t like anyone fussing over us and we wanted to keep our wedding private and simple. We ended up having so much fun that we forgot we were being photographed. If we’d known it would be that fun and the results so amazing, we would have photographed our engagement with him. Michel is the perfect combination of skill and passion for his work. You simply can’t go wrong with him.

Above & Beyond!! Phenomenal Experience!

We found Michel by chance and what a great find! Our original elopement plans for Prague were canceled due to Covid, but everything fell into place for a simple elopement in beautiful Charleston. I have to say that Michel is the one who made it extra special. We had a simple ceremony by the river, then Michel (our one witness!) drove us around historic Charleston to have special pictures in beautiful settings. It was so much fun! I had originally planned to go with the officiant’s photographer, but when she said he would try to up-sell us after the set 25 pics, I reconsidered and found Michel quite by accident. When I saw the brides on his website, I saw happy and relaxed brides. That had to be the photographer’s doing! He also does flat fees, so there were no surprises. He worked hard over the holidays to edit and give us stunning pictures in time for our reception back home. He felt like a good friend throughout and we look forward to touching base again when we go back. We give him the absolute highest recommendation so others can have such a wonderful experience. If we’d known about him before, we would have done engagement pictures with him.

Light master of photography

WOW!! Michel is absolutely incredible. He has a vision, and truly helps capture your wedding day incredibly. We wanted a photo outside the fountain at the Westin and boy did he delivered! It was pitch black outside, and we lit up next to the fountain thanks to him. He helped us through our photos before the ceremony, and then together after helped us create different shots. The first look with my Dad was so well planned out, he truly is a master at his craft. Highly recommend Michel if you want the best!

From the initial phone call with Michel to his followup e-mail to ensure we were satisfied with his services, his customer service could not have been better. He took photos for our corporate event and we were able to arrange the schedule by phone, states away. Absolute perfection!

What can you say about Michel and King Street Photography? After meeting with over 10 wedding photographers we knew that Michel was our guy in five minutes. He is intense and you will quickly realize that his intensity actually is just a disguise for his passion. He cares so much about making sure that the magic of your wedding day is captured and that you are supremely happy with the results. He was attentive and passionate about the planning of the shoot months prior to our wedding weekend and was easy to talk to during the planning process. Michel and his staff were punctual, polite and professional. It seemed as though he was prepared to go to war when the day came. Every time we turned around he was there seizing special moments that will be ours for a lifetime. Michel is truly an expert in every sense of the word. He is great at orchestrating and directing all those in front of his lens while setting backgrounds that are breathtaking. If we could give him 10 stars we would. Amazing value for money, pictures done within 2 weeks!

Michel of King Street Photo Weddings was efficient and created exactly the kind of artistic and family-style photos we were wanting. He arrived super early (my wife’s dad spotted him setting up at the venue around noon for a 5pm wedding) and he stayed late. He also didn’t charge a fee for traveling several hours. Due to the fact that our reception fell behind schedule, he gladly stayed even longer than expected to capture photos of every memorable event. He even brought rose petals for us to use for a special photo op after the ceremony. With 3 cameras on hand at all times, Michel was like an entire team of photographers in one person! And he also helped us stay on budget by cutting out things we didn’t need, such as an engagement shoot, and by using a single shooter approach rather than charging for multiple photographers. That being said, he wasn’t afraid to enlist our very helpful best man and bridesmaids for some small tasks during photo taking - which made everything go so smoothly. We feel that we got so much more than we paid for. Thank you, Michel.

Incredible memories of a beautiful day!

Michel Berda is a very artistic photographer. He really knows how to perfectly capture the day. He had taken many pictures that I wasn't aware of. My husband stated how he loved the fact that you didn't even know he was there. He did not take away from the ceremony, but I had seen pictures from all around the room. I never noticed him moving around. He contacted my daughter before the wedding and told her to give him a list of pictures that they wanted so the memories of the day will be what they wanted. He showed up that day with so much equipment. He wears a vest and we called the Rambo Photographer. He had everything he needed to make sure the lighting was right for each picture. He created a timeline and stuck to it making the day go smoothly. We got the pictures back in less than 2 weeks and they are amazing. I told my daughter that the photographer is the most important part of all the people hired because that is the person who will capture the day. The day goes so fast and its like a blur. Michel did an fabulous job with the important task he had to capture the day. Thank you Michel for the job you did for my daughter and son in law. You are more than a photographer, you are a true artist. If you want a perfect day, hire Michel!

Photos that Will Last a Lifetime

Months ahead of the wedding, we worked with Michel to develop the perfect timeline that we ended up sharing with our planner and other vendors. He had great advice and had great suggestions for some shots. On the wedding day, he was super early, scouting out spots for our family photos and bridal shots. He joked with all of us and made the day comfortable. He kept us on schedule and made sure we got all of the shots we wanted. As a type A person, I had a list of pics I wanted and Michel worked hard to make sure all of them were achieved. He was helpful in other way too - the few weeks before the wedding when I was stressed about finding rose petals for a certain picture, Michel offered to pick them up for me so I didn't have to stress. He was able to capture the most amazing pictures- they were everything we could have hoped for! There are so many pictures that I love and want to frame. He was efficient in everything and made sure we got everything we wanted. We would definitely recommend Michel to any couple looking to get exactly what they want out of their wedding photos.

Proposal and Engagement Shoot Success

Recently I won a free Engagement Session with Michel. After speaking to Michel, I knew this would be the perfect opportunity to surprise my fiance by proposing to him, and letting Michel capture the moment and take other engagement photos for us.

Michel was immediately on-board and began helping me plan the location, time, and surprise proposal. On the day of, he arrived early for set up and discretely prepared to capture the moment. We have tons of beautiful pictures to hold on to and because of him, this is a day we will always remember and have great pictures to look back on.

Beyond amazing

Michel is a dream to work with! My Fiance and I had our engagement photoshoot planned with a different photographer originally but they had canceled our session for another couple two hours before we had originally scheduled (right after getting my hair done too). My Fiance called photographers all around the area to find someone to take our photos at the last second and Michel stepped up to the plate! within an hour, we were down at Hampton Park ready to go! He practically brought his entire studio with him (huge bags with several lenses, professional lighting, etc..) and gave us whatever we wanted! He made it so easy to pose for photos and gave us our full edited photos TWO DAYS later! What more could you want in a photographer? HIGHLY suggest going with Michel and his team :)

Photos as dreamy as your wedding day!

When I first met Michel I knew he was the photographer I would book for our wedding! I met him at a bridal show where there were many other vendors booths, especially photographers. What stood out about Michel was that he was very personal, outgoing, and honest. He is very upfront with his services and pricing which stood out among others. After deciding to go with Michel he checked in with me several times before my bridal portraits and the wedding. He asked to see my idea board and was very open with my own visions. My bridal portraits were breathtaking and made me even more excited for our wedding day! Michel was more organized than I can even put into words! He runs a tight ship and you should not expect less from a professional! His work is out of this world! All of the family and wedding party loved his presence and were so blown away at our beautiful photos. On top of his amazing work- we got ALL of our photos (hundreds!!) within 18 days of our wedding! His talent, passion and expertise were evident in every single shot! Professional, Passionate, & Punctual

Michel is very passionate about what he does and it shows from all of his creativity, effort, and positive energy while capturing all special moments throughout an entire day! We are so happy that we chose him to spend the day with us for our wedding at Legare Waring House. He is very professional and timely leading up to the big day in communication about timelines and specific moments that we wanted to remember forever. Michel does a great job of capturing the whole story from getting ready early morning, to guest group pictures at the reception, to send off at the end of the night. I hired Michele and King Street Photo Weddings to shoot my proposal in Charleston. I talked to many photographers about doing the shoot but none were nearly as passionate about it as Michele. Michel from King Street Photo Weddings WOWED me from my initial interaction with him. I reached out to 10-15 different photographers in Charleston. I was not impressed by any of them until I reached out to Michel.
He IMMEDIATELY responded to my emails and was VERY quick to get back to me with excellent attention to detail, understanding of what I would need on the day of my wedding, and offering to support me as I had not even chosen my venue/even visited Charleston. NO other photographer displayed the level of professionalism that Michel displayed.
He thoughtfully provided feedback that supported planning the day of!
Michel already gave me immense confidence and trust that he would provide photos to cherish for life. He consistently confirmed this over and over during the process (which helped my anxiety). He understood the importance of having him on our day.
We were supposed to get rain and even before our wedding he helped us to plan an alternative plan with promises of excellent photos if needed. Luckily the weather held out! Michel was early, so kind, positive, and confident and helped organize everyone before I arrived.
Michel captured our wedding with utmost professionalism! He kept us laughing, providing a plan for our photo session throughout Magnolia Plantations, and he crawled on the ground with Fire Ants, squatted in the bushes to get more artistic shots and was SO patient!! He also carried around his supportive photography lights throughout the Park and worked his butt off to make sure we were getting captivating pictures!
Michel also was flexible to split our time and even worked longer than we hired him for so that we could capture some sunset shots!!! I would love love love to do more photoshoot sessions with Michel in the future as he is not just an EXCELLENT AND TALENTED photographer, which he is. Michel is incredibly kind, so funny, so very professional, and takes his work extremely serious. Scott and I feel incredibly blessed!!!

My husband and I had our dream wedding in Hilton Head Island, SC and we hired Michel as our photographer. We spoke several times before the wedding and he really took the time to speak with us and learn about our big day. He created an incredible timeline that I used as a basis for all of my vendors - extremely helpful! He arrived on the day very prepared and on time. Ryan and I had to reschedule our wedding in less than 3 weeks after a hurricane destroyed our venue in Puerto Rico. We were fortunate enough to have Michel photograph our wedding (after he had a lucky cancellation). Within minutes of speaking to him for the first time, his passion for photography was evident. He took the time to call us and had a one hour plus planning session to find out what was important to us and how to best personalize our experience. What was most impressive was that his attention to detail carried through until the minute the reception was over. I must say that our guests absolutely loved him and Michel went above and beyond to get the best shots possible (standing on chairs, crouching down, standing behind curtains, using leaves for added effects, etc). I would highly recommend him to anybody. He is an incredibly talented man, and a true artist!

Michel Berda photographed our May 20th wedding at the Sonesta Resort in HHI, and as someone who does not often leave online reviews I feel our experience with Michel deserves one! We had several calls with Michel prior to the wedding to discuss the day and the schedule of events. From the first phone call, we could tell that he was going to be fantastic. We knew he would capture every moment of our big day in the best way possible, and that's exactly what he did. What can possibly be said about Michel Berda that hasn't already been said!? Michel "took my hand" from the first moment we spoke on the phone and made the process of getting ready for the big day wonderful. He listened and advised and listened more. We are an older couple whose photography needs were not that of a younger couple. Michel worked with us to until he came up with the perfect package and then he really delivered! I don't event know where to begin. The second I saw Michel Berda's photos I knew he was the one! I booked Michel without seeing another photographer and it was the #1 best decision I made planning my wedding this December. Just when I thought he could not surpass our expectations, hopes and dreams for a wedding photographer any further; he continued to surprise and delight with his professionalism, creativity, thoughtfulness, and knowledge. I talked to Michel more than any other wedding vendor throughout the process and he really knows how to make you feel comfortable about the process and the day. I have to say Michel actually makes taking photos fun! He had lots of competition from amateur wedding guest taking photos as well. ?? I consider myself not photogenic until I started working with Michel; he really works his magic and can give just the right direction to make all the difference. We had our wedding at the Westin Resort & Spa on Hilton Head Island, who recommended Michel Berda as a photographer. Upon sending a message, he immediately reached out to us and explained his services. He sells himself big and aims to please. Michel genuinely wants to get to know you and what you want for your special occasion so that he can make it perfect for you. I gave him 5 stars for each category - quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism, value and flexibility. Michel was really willing to go the extra mile for us. Michel was one of the best decisions we made during our pre-wedding planning. Of the many photography inquires made, he was the first and most enthusiastic response. He was extremely professional from our first meeting all the way through the end of our big day. Based on his photos, he seems to have been everywhere even though we rarely saw him at work. We were also pleased with the unique “rose” and “Love” shots and appreciated the creativity he brought to our ceremony and reception. We booked Michel over a year in advance and our wedding was just this past week, on 6/18/2016. We had an amazing experience from start to finish. He was always available for our random questions, provided us with endless helpful recommendations, and did so much more than I ever would have expected a photographer to do. He helped us make a precise schedule for the day of the wedding and ensured us that he would take care of all of the little details (and the crazy personalities in our bridal party!). We have only seen sneak peaks of our photos but I am sure that they will be amazing. Big thanks again Michel! Michel Berda of www.kingstreeetphotoweddings.com exceeded our expectations as our wedding photographer! Our wedding was just three days ago and I have already had the opportunity to see a couple of "sneak peak" photos. With only two photos, I am confident in writing this review that I will absolutely love the rest. They were that amazing! There were quite a few things that went wrong on our wedding day with our venue, but Michel worked through everything and went above and beyond to capture wonderful photos. He literally traveled all through Palmetto Dunes to make sure we had the photos we wanted. I thought that having very large wedding party (9 bridesmaids, 9 groomsmen, 5 kids) would scare photographers away, but when I first talked to Michel, he was excited to work with such a large group. He was very friendly, personable, and made wedding photos fun (even for all of those guys!). I would highly recommend King Street Photography to anyone.

Finding the right photographer is both intimidating and challenging. I am so grateful that we followed our intuitions after seeing the work and speaking with Michel Berda, Of kingstreetphotoweddings.com. I still remember the first conversation with him and the professionalism and passion he has wedding photography. He is professional by setting expectations for the event to help his capture as many wonderful moments as possible. We were looking for a photographer in Charleston and came across Michel Berda's. We visited his website to see his work and it was AMAZING. We chose Michel Breda for our engagement photo shoot and without a doubt the best decision we could've made. He arrived early and had many great ideas for pictures that we couldn't have thought of. Michel Berda of www.kingstreetphotoweddings.com was exactly what we were looking for and exactly what we needed for our wedding. Having a destination wedding isn't as easy as it seems; worrying about how the day is going to go, the weather, not being able to meet any of the vendors (including Michel) ahead of time! Michel went above & beyond to help and make sure our day went as smooth as possible. He put together a timeline of the day (& arrived 2 hours early!) which was impeccable! I would not have known what to do without the timeline! While on your wedding day you try not to stress but want every little thing to go off perfect, Michel does an excellent job at keeping it as stress free as possible while making sure you stay on time. He isn't pushy & doesn't make you feel rushed at all! He is amazing at taking charge & telling people what needs to be done. I'm sure it can be difficult to photograph a large wedding party (such as ours) especially when you get to the grooms room & have rowdy groomsmen waiting to take pictures! He handled everything that day very professionally & with respect. Within 24hours he had already posted a "teaser" photo from the wedding, making us want all the pictures right then!!! We can't wait to see what an amazing job Michel did with our pictures!

Master wedding photography INDEED! Michel Berda is fantastic and I would recommend him to anyone looking for artistic photography, professionalism and timeliness! I have worked with many photographers in my career and Michel is top notch. He understands the importance of a wedding day timeline unlike many others I have worked with. He does not deviate from the schedule unless the couple wants to do so and then of course he does whatever is asked. We were only married 8 days ago, but within 24 hours, he already had posted the teaser photo and within 36 hours, he had posted a few more! This is so important because we wanted to be able to show our friends and family who could not be with us a few images from our special day.

Our guests are raving at his professionalism as well. We chose only to take posed pictures with our immediate families and our wedding party, but yet we wanted to pictures of all of our wedding guests. During the reception, we walked around to each table to say hello to all of our guests but also to get a picture with everyone there. Michel was so helpful in making sure even these candid photos turn out beautifully. Some of our guests had sunglasses on their heads or a hair out of place, but Michel made sure all these things were corrected so that the photos turn out well and he did so with the respect and professionalism.

I have only seen a few of his images from our wedding (it's only been a week), but the ones I have seen are SPECTACULAR and i know the rest will be too. We can't wait to see the rest of the pictures and I am confident they will be amazing!

Michel photographed my sister’s wedding 13 years and some months ago at Lowndes Grove in Charleston, SC and captured beautiful photos full of emotion with the subtle aspects that make a photographer stand out. met Michele at the Southern Bridal Show in North Charleston in August. He was very professional. My husband is in the Navy so when I met Michele and told him I wanted his services for our wedding, he understood that I had to wait for him to get out of work. Michele met us after to sign the contract.
We chose the engagement photos package with Mchele. We ended up losing light (it was a sunset shoot) and he came out the next morning at 5:30 am to finish the shoot.
Day of our wedding it poured out. We couldn't get our couple shot so he suggested we come back and do the couple shots later on.
Michele was absolutely amazing. I would suggest him to anyone here I know.

Michel Berda of King Street Photo Weddings was fantastic to work with. As a bride trying to plan a destination wedding from afar his prompt and professional communication and attention to detail was notice right from the start. He made us both comfortable to work with and the photo part of our wedding day was fun and went by so quickly. He was in constant communication with our event planner at the hotel (Hilton Head Marriott Resort & Spa) and was so organized. We contracted with King Street Photo last March for my daughter's Halloween wedding. As the wedding approached, Michele initiated contact with me and kept me informed of how he would work with the wedding timeline. He called the bride & groom for their input and made adjustments accordingly.
He came to the rehearsal (we had not contracted for that) and scoped out the venue and took photos.
On the day of the wedding, Michele was on time and on task. He had multiple cameras and photographed the venue decor and scene before the guests arrived. The wedding itself was small (104 guests), so he took a group photo of all who attended. He was hard at work through the entire wedding/ reception.
We have seen one of his photos so far and it is beautiful.

This story starts 7 years ago. At the time, my fiancé and I were engaged and were visiting the Bahamas for vacation. We knew we wanted to get married there, but hadn't started any of the planning. As we were looking through a brochure in one of the hotel lobbies, I saw an amazing picture of a wedding party about knee deep in ocean water. It just took me seeing that one picture, and Michel Berda was hired. Fast forward to 10/17/2009. Michel shot my wedding at Old Bahama Bay in Grand Bahama Island. The pictures were incredible, beyond incredible. He was amazing to working with and everyone loved him. 6 years later I still look at the pictures and see something different each time that he captured through the lens. Earlier in the year my sister got engaged and she knew after looking at my photos and life long memories, there was no way she could have anyone else capture her special day. Michel came all the way to Helena, MT to shoot at Lakeside Ranch. The flight times were horrendous, he was pretty much on a plane for 2 full days straight! He was so flexible and professional about it. As he was shooting her bridal pictures in downtown Helena a group of little kids walked by and said " look its a real princess!" I looked at my mom standing next to me and there were tears in her eye as Michel was photographing her "little princess" I cannot say enough great things about Michel's work and work ethic. This guy goes non-stop! He doesn't miss a thing, every tiny detail is captured. His photos are absolutely breathtaking. I cannot even keep track of the number of people at the wedding that were commenting on how impressed they were with him. Michel also took a few hours out of his incredibly hectic schedule to do a maternity shoot for me. The photos were incredible and my husband and I are so thankful! Wedding, maternity, it doesn't matter, his work is top notch. I wouldn't even consider hiring anyone else for my photography needs.

Michel Berda with King Street Photo Weddings is absolutely amazing. When I became engaged in January of 2015 I knew I had to find a way to hire Michel as our photographer (although I knew he was literally across the country). He photographed my sisters wedding on Grand Bahama Island in 2009 and I was beyond amazed at her photos and Michel's professionalism and expertise. I quickly messaged Michel and he remembered exactly who I was and thankfully agreed to fly from Charleston to Helena, Montana for my wedding on September 26, 2015 at Lakeside Ranch. I talked with Michel many times before the wedding and he was very kind, helpful, and willing to listen to my ideas (or lack thereof)! Michel arrived with energy and enthusiasm after a long entire day of traveling. He shot many bridal portrait photos and he was very respectful and creative. He had so much enthusiasm for our city of Helena. On our wedding way, Michel was wonderful. He took an unbelievable amount of photos and he was great with the wedding party. Everybody loved his personality. He has an eye for tiny detail and is really an expert in what he does. He spent so much time photographing every single part of the wedding. Michel was amazingly flexible, as I am not the most organized person. Many different guests commented positively on Michel, saying things like "Wow! He really knows what he is doing. I don't think he stopped taking photos for even a second!" Every single thing about our experience was positive and amazing. He spent two entire days traveling and took countless photos without a single complaint. Michel is a fabulous photographer, artist and professional. He was able to not only capture all the special moments on our wedding day perfectly, but assisted with coordination of services for the day. He is very passionate and meticulous in his work, following the timelines and exacting the pictures that we had previous to the wedding specified. Additionally, he was super responsive as we were in the initial wedding planning process, and willing to work with us as we were planning a destination wedding all the way from Europe, which wedding planning is stressful enough as is and he helped make is easier through his prompt and direct responses. He was extremely flexible in allowing us to modify the bridal portraits session, as I was not wanting this portion of the package, and instead allowing my fiancee and I to instead have an "Engagement photo session" to get used to being photographed before the big day- which is great for a slightly photo adverse individual such as myself. And all of his pictures, posed or otherwise were fantastic! He has an eye for beauty and an ease of direction. Michel is kind, sincere, straightforward, and does an absolutely awesome job as a photographer. He definitely helped make our day special and less stressed. Michel is a professional at his craft and loves the work he does. He is very friendly, very organized, followed up regularly, took charge of coordinating with vendors, and most importantly guided & led us to stay on schedule. THIS IS SO, SO, SO, IMPORTANT. We did not realize how much minutes matter, especially in a late afternoon wedding (when the entire wedding only lasts a few hours...). You are pulled in every direction, and trying to greet both family and close friends, and the time simply disappears. Michel prepped us for this, prepared a meticulous schedule & list for photos, and stuck to it. I think that if we had a photographer who was more casual, we would not have gotten half the great photos we did (with the sun setting so fast). Also, on the wedding day, we received countless compliments about how Michel 'obviously knew what he was doing,' guiding the wedding party into poses that were both creative and memorable. We learned (through prior experience) that everyone 'can be a photographer," so be careful. Just b/c they have a camera Doesn't make them a photographer - especially for your special event. Photography really is Mr. Berda's passion, and his quality product reflects that. He is also fairly structured, so if you want loosey goosey, make sure to discuss that on the front end. For us, that structure gave us fantastic results. Would use him again, and would recommend to friends/family.

Michel Berda was amazing!

When planning for my wedding, I knew that one of the most important thing would be the photographer. I did a lot of research looking at photographers all over the low country. As soon as I spoke to Michel it was clear that he has been doing this for years! He was great to work with before and on the day of the wedding!

On the day of the wedding if we we're not ready on time, he moved onto the next photos and came back to us when we were ready. HE HAS AN EYE FOR DETAIL which I really appreciate! He would notice if something was out of place like my dress, or somebody was standing awkward and he would make sure it was fixed before snapping the shot!

We would definitely recommend Michel to everyone and would use him all over again!

He helped us draft a timeline and made himself available for conference calls when my mom or fiancé and I had and questions. Michel was great to work with for our wedding photography. He was very prompt, (even when we were not!) and followed the timeline perfectly. We were really concerned about not being able to spend time with our guests at the reception and off taking photos so we were thrilled to be able to get all the important pictures in and still have time with our guests.

Michel recently photographed our vow renewal, which was really our wedding day ten years in the making. When I first spoke with Michel, I felt his sincerity in wanting to capture the joy, the emotion, the relationships, and the love in our vow renewal ceremony. I knew after that first conversation that Michel was the photographer that we could trust to help us capture the sentiment of this day, and he did exactly that! We (my husband and I) would like to share our great appreciation to Michel Berda and his team who were sympathetic to our situation and agreed to work with us after our previously hired photographer disappeared (e-mails were not delivered, voice mail full and the house that my future in-laws went to in an attempt to locate her looked abandoned). We thought something tragic has happened, found Michel Berda on Angie’s list, read reviews and decided to contact him. As I said Michel was very sympathetic to our situation and gave us a discount. Completely on his own, Michel successfully tracked down our previously contracted photographer and offered his services as a mediator, but we all decided it was best to work with Michel and his team. Michel offered us two photographers, one of which he had to pay himself but it was free for us. Michel’s services turned out to be phenomenal and we couldn’t have been happier as Donovan and Harold were very nice and amazing people who shared the joy of our wedding day, were on time, very understanding, with sense of humor, patient and flexible with changes that came during the day.

Michel was a great photographer to use. We met him once before our wedding to go over the process and what he would provide. I really liked that I was able to meet him in advance of the wedding since I was an out of town bride. He showed up early, photographed the groom/groomsmen and then myself and bridesmaids. We look lots of fun pictures throughout Charleston, and then headed to the venue where Michel captured some fantastic pictures. I would highly recommend him, and if we are ever back in Charleston and needing another photographer, I will be calling him for sure.

Michel was our photographer at our wedding in Charleston, SC in February. My wife and I can't believe how great the pictures turned out. He was very organized and professional, and you can tell that he really loves his job. We are currently in the process of trying to pick out our favorite photos for our wedding album, but it is very hard to do when there are so many great photos. Michel always seemed to be in the right place at the right time to capture pictures. It seems like every little detail from our rehearsal dinner to the ceremony and reception were captured with Michel's camera. We highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great photographer for their wedding.

WOW!! We were thoroughly impressed with Michel and the quality of his work. He has a keen eye and a solid work ethic. Michel was easy to work with and responsive with our many requests. When we received the final product (engagement photos and the wedding photos) my wife and I were blown away. We were very impressed with the quality of the photos, the set-up of each shot, and the thoroughness of the various aspects of our big day. We did a lot of research before choosing a wedding photographer and when we met Michel for the first time, we both felt and instant connection...not to mention he was reasonable with the price. Michel photographed my daughter’s wedding on the beach at Hilton Head. It was a special moment and he captured the essence of the event. He was unobtrusive, but from the pictures he took he managed to be everywhere. Only a photographer with experience shooting beach events would be able to carry the beach theme throughout the entire sequence of the afternoon. Michel was easy to work with, constantly in contact leading up to the wedding and responsive afterwards. I would highly recommend Michel for any event where you want to get the pictures just right.

If you want a photographer that is professional, organized, caring, trustworthy and takes amazing pictures, then Michel Berda should be your choice. Do not let his determination about following the timeline that he sets up frighten you. When the day arrives, he truly "gets" that not everything goes exactly as planned and is very flexible to make sure the bride, groom and entire wedding party are comfortable and calm.
His photographs are beautiful. It is very difficult to choose from the 100's of pictures that he takes throughout the day.

Michel was the first vendor we booked and loved him back then and love him even more now! Michel has been a joy to work
with leading up to our wedding day and was fantastic throughout the whole wedding experience.

Michel showed up early the morning of our wedding day and immediately started shooting. Because of timing, sunlight, etc, we began shooting right away. Professional throughout the whole experience Michel directed us to the best locations to capture the moment. My husband and I were able to spend a full hour alone taking pictures right after the ceremony and are still amazed at how great these photos turned out. Michel is truly a motivated photographer who will do anything to capture that prefect shot for his clients.

King Street Photo Weddings photographed our wedding. Michel was very personable over the phone which made planning a destination wedding much easier. His associate, Darrell Johnson, was our photographer during the wedding. We absolutely loved him. He was so easy to get along with and made us feel so special.
Michel took the photos and did the editing, which were very good. He was very easy to get in touch with when I had questions about some of the shots. I was pleased with his response time in his communications and with his editing. We received the pictures online in about a month and ordered the special DVD package, which we received in 5 days. I love having access to all of our pictures so I can print, collage, and even stick on a mug or blanket if I want (but I didn’t). The photographs were amazing and something we will cherish forever.

I met Michel Berda at a wedding convention In Hilton Head Island, SC ( where my wedding took place) and I fell in love not only with his photography style but also because of his love and passion for it as well; his upbeat personality also reeled me in too. He has different packages to met any individuals needs, and he worked with my now husband and I to find the right package for us. As promised, before the wedding he reached out to my event coordinator to help plan out an itinerary to make the wedding day go smoothly. Michel, my husband and I had a phone conference (we are in MI and he is in SC) and he helped us put together an itinerary that best fit our needs for the wedding day. That alone was such a lifesaver! It gave everyone involved with the wedding have an idea of when and where they were supposed to be and at what times (mainly specifics about the pictures, such as what to bring and any specific locations for the pictures before the wedding). Michel was great with helping us stick with our itinerary, if it wasn't for that, my bridesmaids and I would have probably been late for my own wedding!
Michel had us do some fun and different poses for the pictures, he even had us dancing on the beach and did something really fun with it! We even had people walking by at the beach to tell us what great photo ideas Michel had for us. He was also so kind to stay a little after than he was "contracted" too for the reception. And as promised, Michel posted some great pictures of my wedding day 3 days after my wedding! I highly recommend Michel to photograph your special day as well as helping you create special memories!

We had Michel photograph our engagement session in downtown Charleston and our wedding at Magnolia Plantation on April 14, 2012. I couldn't wait for the wedding pictures to come back because the engagement pictures were so amazing! Michel is professional, patient, and completely open and willing to tailor to your style. We had a few unique requests (engagement pictures in bathing suits by a pool, groomsmen pictures in superhero shirts, etc) and Michel was more than willing to incorporate our requests. Michel Berda is a talented photographer that is sure to capture all the special moments for your day. Michel is on time, professional and does a fantastic job. Coming from a bride that just finished planning a wedding, dependability and responsiveness are qualities that are a necessity when hiring a vendor and Michel exceeded my expectations. He was also very flexible and treated us as if we were the only wedding he had all year (even though he had many many clients...he photographed 3 weddings the weekend we got married!) We hired him a year before our wedding and he did not 1 but 2 engagement sessions, a bridal portrait and even volunteered to come to the bridal store to photograph me trying on my gown for the first time with my mom. All the picture were edited and put up on his website in a timely manner. He just put up our wedding photos and we are more than pleased with the results! Definitely a Star in my book! Michel was a joy to work with!! I am pleased to be his first Bahamian bride...I am from the beautiful island of Grand Bahama in the Bahamas and Michel flew down to capture all the great moments of my day which he did splendidly! We had no videographer so it was important to capture all the details of my wedding day. This is why I selected Michel....I became very familiar with his work from the destination weddings he did by the hotel where I work. I love how he captures all the happy moments with candid shots, which also tells a story. Michel is flexible and wonderful to work with. His client's satisfaction is of utmost importance and he ensures that he accomplishes what you want! Best photographer in Charleston!!! Michel was wonderful to work with from the start of planning through our wedding day. He was on time, organized, efficient and made everyone very comfortable. He was never frazzled and maintained a friendly, positive attitude even in the most stressful moments! In fact, he was so much fun, my guests are still raving about him! As for his talent, the photos speak for themselves. He captured every precious moment and was able to put his artistic spin on even the most traditional pictures! Michel did an amazing job capturing my November 5th wedding. Choosing a photographer was one of the most important decisions for our wedding. When we met Michel, we just knew that he would be perfect for the job. He was very professional and organized during the bridal portraits and wedding. He was very open to any suggestions for photos. He also went above and beyond to work with us in any way.
We just received our wedding photos back and they are wonderful! They brought me to tears while reliving our wedding day. He really captured “our story” with his photos. We are so thankful that he was part of our special day and would recommend him to anyone!

We were so lucky that we met Michel Berda and had him photograph our wedding. We got married at Wild Dunes and the list of approved photographers to choose from was specific. After meeting with most of the photographers on the list it was an easy decision to hire Michel.

The other photographers’ portfolios had very nice pictures. In Michel's portfolio you can see that he captures the moment. Anyone can take a picture; it takes a special artist touch to be able to capture the moment. Michel has that artistic touch.
When we first met with Michel we discussed what we were looking for. His packages seemed much more reasonable than the other photographers we met. He was able to work within our budget.

The collection that we chose included a bridal portrait that we were able to substitute for an engagement shoot. Michel took us throughout downtown Charleston and took pictures everywhere. This was a great way to get to know Michel better and be more comfortable in front of the camera. The pictures turned out amazing and we have them throughout our house, we love them!

For the wedding day Michel started early and stayed late. Michel was able to get all of the shots we wanted without making it a long ordeal and guests could get off to the party on time. Michel lined up some really creative shots and everyone had a good time with the process. The pictures were up on Kingstreetphotowedding.com on time as promised. Michel was able to capture the moments, feelings, and love throughout our wedding. We were so happy we ended up getting the printing rights for every picture taken.

Thank you so much Michel! We are really happy and lucky we had you there with us!

We had a great experience working with Michel. From the beginning, Michel was very flexible about every aspect of his services. Since having copies of the photos was important to us, we worked with Michel to modify his contract so that we would get a high resolution CD with copies of all of our photos. Michel was also very generous with his time. He spent an extra half hour on our engagement session the first day, and even offered to take some additional photos the next day because we didn't get to all the places we had in mind. Michel was instrumental in developing the timeline for our wedding day, too.

Michel did a fantastic job the day of the wedding. He kept everything moving smoothly and on time. The pictures are beautiful, and Michel captured all of our guests and important moments. He was also very unobtrusive, which was important to us. Michel was recommended to us by our venue, which also speaks well of him. Overall, we highly recommend Michel.

Michel Berda did a wonderful job with the photography for our wedding. From the very beginning he was very flexible and understanding of our needs. The passion he has for his work is honestly inspiring and you can see his passion in the pictures.

Michel Berda is a photographer like no other. His photographs are just exquisite. Our wedding photos are just stunning. I find myself looking at them over and over again. He was so professional and produces just beautiful work. I can not say enough wonderful things about him. My husband is active duty military and we were married over 7 years ago. We have move about 5 times since getting married and I have just gotten around to selecting my album. Michel was kind enough to work with me and put together our beautiful wedding album 7 years and 2 children later. I am so thankful he took the time out of his schedule to help me select my album. The album is so pretty and the children love looking at it. Thank you so much Michel for giving us such wonderful memories we will keep forever.

We had Michel Berda and King Street Photos shoot our wedding at Sea Pines in Hilton Head on July 22, 2011. We were thoroughly impressed with Michel’s professionalism. The pictures are amazing! Michel was friendly and worked very hard. It was extremely hot and he was running all over Sea Pines getting the pictures. My family, friends and I felt comfortable during the group photos. Michel provided a relaxed atmosphere that allowed us to take some really great pictures.

If I had to do it again, there is one little thing I would change. Although I was aware of the time that Michel was leaving, I had no idea what time it was during the reception. So, when he told me it was time for him to go, I didn’t have a chance to get a few more pictures in. I wish I had asked for a 20-30 minute warning so that I could make sure I had photos with specific people. However, the pictures that Michel did get were wonderful.

A week before the wedding, Michel arranged a bridal shoot in Charleston. The weather was not cooperating with us, but Michel was determined to get it done. I was impressed with his diligence. In the end, after changing locations, but eventually ending at our original spot, we successfully completed the bridal shoot. We had a good time, and you cannot tell at all that the weather was dull and overcast. The pictures are beautiful!

We are very happy with our experience with Michel, and we would not hesitate to use King Street Photos again in the future.

Having Michel Berda photograph our wedding was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The first time we spoke on the phone during the initial search for a photographer, Michel made us feel even more excited about the wedding. It is clear that Michel has a passion for photography, and he takes extreme pride in his work. When Michel agrees to photograph a wedding he puts his whole heart into it, and works tirelessly to make the photographs of your wedding day perfect. Each time we talked his excitement and enthusiasm were contagious and only made us more excited about the upcoming wedding.
Michel works with you through the entire process leading up to the wedding to make sure that you will get the pictures that you need, in a timetable that works for you on the day. The day of the wedding is truly impressive. Michel shows up on time, ready to work. From the moment he arrives to the moment he leaves he is working to capture every aspect of the wedding. Michel does this in a way that is in no way disruptive, but rather he blends in when he needs to, and helps you relax when necessary. After the wedding he is able to set the photographs in such a way that they come out artistic and creative. He takes time to make each one perfect and through the photographs captures the feeling of the day. I would recommend Michel to anyone having a wedding or big event!
