GORGEOUS venue and amazing staff!
Our wedding experience with the Kimpton Monaco Baltimore was incredible! We immediately fell in love with the gorgeous marble staircase, beautiful elevator bank, and all around elegant interior and design of the hotel. The hotel truly is stunning and makes for beautiful wedding photos. Even the ballrooms (ceremony room & reception room) are nicely decorated with fun wallpaper, light fixtures, etc. - definitely not your typical grey hotel conference room. We loved that the venue had so many great photo ops, so we didn't have to worry about what the weather would be like on our wedding day. We noticed that there hadn't been any wedding reviews on any sites for this venue since Randie (the previous coordinator) left, so we were a little nervous about that, but we're SO happy we moved forward anyway. I think they went through a little trial and error with coordinators, until earlier in 2024 when Michelle came on board.
Michelle was an absolute DREAM to work with!!! She's responsible, thorough, detail-oriented, on top of things, organized, and was responsive to all of our (many) questions and requests. I'm a planner to the extreme (excel sheets, detailed timelines, etc.) and working with Michelle was beyond amazing. I trusted her wholeheartedly and am so incredibly thankful to have had her throughout the planning process. On the day of, she was equally wonderful and went above and beyond to help with things and ensure everything went smoothly. Our wedding day was literally perfect and exactly as we had planned, in large part thanks to her. The venue coordinator makes such a huge difference in the wedding planning experience, and Michelle is truly a gem. I also have to mention Jennifer, who helped us with everything room related, and Patrick from catering. Both of them were also amazing to work with and helped our day go perfectly. The hotel really has an all-star team with the 3 of them!
Another thing that drew us in was how inclusive the hotel's wedding packages were. When I was researching venues, we really wanted an "all inclusive" type of package, and this was just that. Food, open bar, chairs, linens, a signature cocktail, and even our wedding cake with an outside award-winning bakery were included (plus more things I'm probably forgetting). The food was delicious and actually very generously portioned (especially compared to other weddings I've attended where you may leave a little hungry). We thought the pricing was very fair for everything that was included. It was also SO convenient to be able to get ready, have all of our wedding events, and then go to the room all in one location.
We absolutely loved this venue and couldn't be happier that we chose to have our special day here!-

Absolutely amazing!
We are so happy that we chose to celebrate our wedding at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco. While we were choosing between venues, Kimpton stood out from the start from their gorgeous staircase, unique and beautiful rooms, and RANDIE! We cannot rave enough about Randie. She was our greatest support system throughout the wedding planning. She was knowledgeable, responsive, supportive, and such an absolute rock star through everything. I always knew that Randie was going to respond quickly, and that truly made all the difference.
During the night of, the wait staff was so attentive and FUN - we had such a wonderful time celebrating with them and they were so accommodating. The food was absolutely amazing - it's probably the thing we've gotten the most compliments about. We had to push our wedding back a year due to COVID and Randie was so flexible with everything - she made it such a stress free process. Randie was also able to work with us to get a breakfast for our guests as a last minute request which we couldn't have been more grateful for (the breakfast was amazing btw). Everything was just so wonderful - from the front desk staff recognizing us after one greeting, everything being set up the way we imagined, and the bottle of champagne that was waiting for us in our room at the end of the night. We couldn't recommend Kimpton enough. -

We got so many compliments and loved it all!
The B&O provided a marvelous buffet for our wedding at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Baltimore. We got to meet the chef, who is approachable, has a versatile style, and had plenty of ideas for how to make our vision come to life.
For our brunch wedding, we wanted comfort food that reflected our cultural backgrounds, so we asked for Chicken and Waffles, Beef Ragu, Shrimp and Grits, and Mediterranean displays that featured old favorites like Basbousa, foul, hummus, and more.
When we checked in with our guests, all of them said it was some of the best food they'd ever had, and were delighted to go back to try the other dishes. My new mother in law even asked the chef for his recipe! -

Perfect wedding, highly recommend
From our very first venue visit, Randie and the Kimpton staff made us feel special and really listened to even our smallest requests. Extremely reasonable rates for the quality of service and catering. The beautiful architecture made for dramatic, memorable photos. The staff was so efficient and professional, such a pleasure to work with! I can't imagine a better experience from start to finish, we are so grateful for the attentive care! -

Amazing hotel for guests!

After getting engaged, I started truly wedding planning Summer 2018. My husband and I were stationed in Germany, but having our wedding in Maryland. Half of our guests were coming from out of town and would have treated our wedding weekend as a little vacation! So we wanted to make sure we had top notch Guest Accommodations.
I was stumbling across hotels and found the Kimpton Monaco Baltimore. I knew I wanted to get portrait photos done and fell in love with the marble staircase! Our ceremony was at a local catholic church 1 mile away and our reception was a 25-minute drive. I primarily worked with Lauren, Antonella and Megan. They effortlessly set up my hotel block online and communicated with me throughout the process to let me know if I should add more rooms.
The moment I checked in, the staff treated me and my guests like royalty. Since I booked over 20 guest rooms, they placed me in one of their beautiful suites for our wedding. They allowed me to create guest bags and passed them out to our guests during check in. They texted me throughout my stay to ensure I had everything I needed for a fantastic weekend. We ended up having welcome drinks at the B&O bar (located in the hotel) Friday evening which kicked things off. I was able to have guest shuttles set up (with another vendor) to get my guests to/from the ceremony and reception. They offer so many cute bonuses booking with them such as a wine down for guests in the evening and a coffee bar in the lobby in the morning!
We had such a fantastic time at the Kimpton Monaco Baltimore. We hope to stay with them in the future!

Randie is the best!
From the moment my husband and I walked through the doors, we knew the Hotel Monaco was where we would say “I Do”! With the floor the ceiling marble, the stair case (OMG...the stair case!!!), the stained glass, crown molding, and all the original features, mixed with the signicute updated Hotel Monaco look...it provided the perfect backdrop for our wedding. Enter Randie Haber! She is the hotel event coordinator and she is AMAZING! There was never a question she couldn’t answer, an idea she couldn’t deliver on, or a problem she couldn’t fix. My husband and I chose Hotel Monaco as much for her as we did the space itself. She was fast to respond and always made us feel like we were her top priority, even though she most likely had a million other things going on! We loved her and really do miss not talking to her often. The last thing that drove our choice of the Hotel Monaco home for us, was the food. This is not your typical catering hall or caterer for that matter that gives you choices that you choose from or tries to steer you toward certain foods. Instead, we sat down with the executive chef of their in-house restaurant, B&O Brasserie (make sure you grab and meal and drink there regardless) for a consultation. Here we literally created a menu from scratch! If my husband and I said it they could do it. We are now almost 3 months out from the wedding and people still tell us that our entrees, cocktail hour, and late night snacks where by far the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding before. So much so, that multiple people who attended now have the B&O Brasserie on their rotation of monthly restaurants they dine at. There is so much more I could write but than this would go on even longer than it already has. We had the best night of our lives on October 20, 2018 and there is doubt that Randie and her staff at the Hotel Monaco were a large part of that!
P.S- the price we spent, included here is what we spent on the venue not the whole event. I also might be off by a little in either direction.-

Far surpassed our exprectations
Randie and the whole team at the Hotel Monaco Baltimore were beyond fantastic to work with in planning and far surpassed our expectations on our wedding day. Randie is truly a delight to work with, who takes great pride in her work and puts great emphasis on what will make her clients happy. She is very flexible and willing to work with you for any unique and non-traditional ideas you may have. We could not be more pleased that we were able to work with Randie to make our wedding dreams a reality. Our food was out of this world good. The Chef at the B&O American Brasserie was so talented and able to translate our nontraditional food ideas into delicious items that wow'ed our guests completely. The day itself was absolutely perfect. We could not have asked for more. If you are unsure about your wedding venue and you are considering the Hotel Monaco, look no further. It is truly an incredible experience to have your wedding here! -

Hotel Monaco was wonderful. Randie did a fabulous job at coordinating everything and was great at creating our dream wedding. The weather did not cooperate so the wedding ceremony was held on the marble stairs. The ceremony was magical. The reception was held in The B&O Brasserie and the food was incredible! We could not have asked for a better venue. -

After visiting dozens of wedding venues all over the DMV, we chose the Hotel Monaco and are s glad we did! What appealed to us most was that we could have a dance party until midnight and continue dancing with an afterparty in the Living room. The ceremony room comfortably seated over 100 guests and still felt intimate. The reception area also had plenty of space for dancing, dinner, cocktail tables, a bar and slideshow. The hotel overall has a Great Gatsby vibe, with gorgeous marble staircases and stained glass windows, which make for timeless photos. Aside from the space, we couldn't say enough great things about our overall experience. Their events team is just incredible! Whatever we envisioned, they made it happen. Randie, our coordinator, is an angel and held our hand through the entire planning process. Thank you for helping us plan and pull off the wedding of our dreams! -

Randie Haber is fantastic. Working with her was great. She made the process of planning our wedding seamless. We opted for a number of special touches, and she helped make our wedding absolutely perfect. Our guests loved the food, service, and venue. We had our rehearsal dinner at the B&O, and that was also wonderful. Chef Scott is great! We strongly recommend that you consider The Monaco for your wedding! -

We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at Monaco Baltimore. Our guests are still raving about the beautiful venue, the great food and even the friendliness of the staff from the bell hop to the bartenders. The team helped keep us on track during the planning and during the event. Our wedding beyond exceeded our expectations. -

Absolutely wonderful experience for our after wedding hotel stay. The first night we arrived, our AC was not working so they upgraded us and comp'd a room service meal for us. Everyone was so nice to us and congratulatory. I would highly recommend Hotel Monaco not just for the stunning decor but for the excellent customer service & attention to detail. -

If you are looking for a Bridal Getting Ready Suite, then you must book the Majestic Suite at the Hotel Monaco. It is simply stunning and has plenty of space for you and all your ladies to get ready. The staff at the Monaco is super accommodating. From bringing extra coffee to delivering my cake tupperware (that arrived via Amazon on the day off), you'll love working with them. We used the yoga mats that come in all the rooms to do a bit of mindfullness before the big day preparations, and we also enjoyed the free wine happy hours each evening at the fireplace in the lobby. Additionally, my mom used the Monaco for our Bon Voyage Brunch after the wedding in the Paris Ballroom. The food was delicious (especially the bacon), the coffee was hot and fresh, and the mimosas and bloody marys were the icing on the cake. My husband joined me in on our wedding night and the staff at the Monaco had decorated our room with red and yellow rose petals on the floor and in a heart shape on the bed! They even put a bottle of champagne on ice. It was totally romantic and unexpected. If you are looking for a bridal preparation suite, a first night as husband and wife location, or a day-after-brunch, the Monaco is the best bet! It is centrally located in Baltimore and has an ABSOLUTELY gorgeous staircase you can reserve for your first look and other wedding party photos! -

Hotel Monaco was absolutely amazing. From the hotel block and guest services, to food selections and of course, Randie. Randie was so responsive and detail oriented. I didn't worry about a thing because I trusted her so much. Planning our wedding was so easy and smooth because of the wonderful staff. The entire night was so seamless. The catering staff ensured everyone always had a drink and felt welcome and they went above and beyond to ensure my husband and I were happy-major shout out to their team. Every guest commented on the hotel staff's friendly and wonderful service. I could go on and on about all of the wonderful things they did to make our day perfect. I would highly recommend booking with Hotel Monaco! -

We used this hotel as our listed hotel for our wedding guests. We also got ready there and stayed in the hotel suite our wedding night. This hotel is amazing! The customer service is unparallel, unlike any other. I 100% recommend this hotel. -

Exceptional Service, Beautiful space, Great food! My wedding ceremony and reception were held at Hotel Monaco. Randie Haber was my wedding coordinator. Mrs. Haber delivers empeciable service. There was never a time when she was not available to me! (I always felt like I was the ONLY bride she was working with). I could always count on her timely responsiveness to my questions (within a few hours, and many times the same day and even if it was after hours). This was extremely comforting to me as a bride! Because of this Randie stood out among my various vendors.
So many are in the business to sell you on insignificant wedding services but Randie actually listened to my needs and requests as the bride, while providing an education on the wedding planning process. She is an absolute expert in what she does! I could not have asked for a better wedding venue experience. Consultation with the chef, cake consultation (Cake from LaCakerie which was included) the room block representative, valet and room service were all a dream to work with!
Many guest complimented the nice common areas including the lobby (with complimentary wine hour), and the grand staircase. The guest rooms were uniquely decorated, clean and comfortable.
If you are a bride looking for an intimate, non-banquet style venue space, please do yourself a favor and visit Hotel Monaco's Paris and Athens event spaces!
The Hotel itself is amazingly beautiful. The icing on top is that it comes with a staff full of amazing people!!

I had my reception at the Hotel Monaco in Baltimore in July and it went perfectly. Randie Haber was the wedding coordinator and she was exceptional from the initial meeting to the very end. She worked with me and my family on every detail of the reception planning and was very responsive to my ideas and changes. Randie is the ultimate professional who is passionate about her job, and we had an amazing time working with her! The hotel was such a perfect setting with its history, gorgeous architecture, and marble lobby. The Paris room was beautiful, and the lobby right outside was the ideal setup for the cocktail hour. The ballroom allowed for many setup options, which provided much flexibility and ultimately a breathtaking floor plan! The chef was a pleasure to work with during the tasting and the hors d’oeuvres and dinner selection was outstanding. Dominic, who coordinated the room setup and the serving staff, was always there to happily assist us with any of our needs during planning or the reception itself. He made sure the table arrangements and place settings were just as we wanted and the food service was timed perfectly. He and his whole staff were very attentive and personable. We even got some of the staff on the dance floor at the end! I could not have dreamed of a better reception than the one I had at Hotel Monaco Baltimore. -

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Hotel Monaco and the staff there! The hotel was the perfect site for my 60-person wedding and the accompanying hotel block, and all of the staff were incredibly helpful! While the marble staircases and stain glass windows in the lobby pretty much sell the venue on its own, it was the Hotel Monaco's event staff that made my wedding day completely perfect! Rachel, the event coordinator, did an AMAZING job throughout planning and on the day-of-event, keeping everything running smoothly and ensuring that my decor was set up beautifully! She has wonderful taste and was very professional -- she kept me well informed of the progress throughout the wedding planning and was also ready to help out with ideas whenever my husband and I had a concern. Randie, the catering manager and Chef Tyler also did a great job ensuring that the menu was WONDERFUL and that we were able to incorporate some unique traditions into our wedding day. Our guests RAVED about the food at the event and we were so happy to have been able to provide them a gourmet, "foodie friendly" meal. Dominic, the banquet manager, did an absolutely amazing job overseeing all of the wedding day set up and he kept the event running so smoothly that my husband and I were able to spend the night dancing with all of our family and friends! The hotel wait and bar staff were also impeccable -- all of our guests were particularly impressed that the bartenders and wait staff were able to remember what they had been drinking all evening and prepare/bring them fresh drinks without even having to be asked! Finally, everyone at the Hotel Monaco was very friendly and happy to help in any way they could, which may the event very special and many of our guests commented on the friendliness of the staff. The great execution of the event by Hotel Monaco, the high quality of the food, and the overall beauty of the wedding was exactly what we were hoping for in a venue! -

Just had my wedding (both ceremony and reception) this weekend at Hotel Monaco and it was PERFECT. Their wedding team are PROS and handled everything smoothly and wonderfully. Randie was my coordinator and she was a godsend; she never hesitated to promptly respond to every silly little obsessive email I sent about anything and everything. She was fun, supportive, professional, and smart the whole time, with great ideas of her own as needed, while also understanding and fulfilling any particulars of our own vision. The custom food consultation was so much fun, and you get actual B&O Brasserie restaurant chefs putting together the menu with you and making the food, so it's not your average generic catering going on! They also have a master mixologist who helps with your signature cocktail. So if you're like me and a foodie/cocktail lover, you will be smiling large! They even let us give everyone duet dishes! No need to stress out about everyone choosing one dish or another. They also include your choice of cake consultation with the famous Charm City Cakes and the newer La Cakerie (whose staff also trained at Charm City) who we went with; the cake was AMAZING. I almost cried that I had to cut and eat it, it was that beautiful. (But of course it was delicious too!) The linen selection was also incredible and perfect, and the venue is just gorgeous with the famous marble staircase and the modern/quirky chic decor everywhere. All of the staff were so pleasant and friendly to everyone and helpful; Dominic and the other head waiter was so kind and made everything flawless. They worked seamlessly with all the other vendors I hired. It was great and less stressful to have all my family and friends in one building for everything, especially with our wacky weather this weekend. If you want a fun, modern, convenient, gorgeous wedding, look no further!!! -

We had the most memorable, beautiful, fun, and easy-to-plan wedding entirely because it was at the Hotel Monaco and because of Randie Haber (Director of Catering). Every person we interacted with was exceptionally kind, helpful, and happy for us. The chef is preternaturally gifted and helped us create a menu that reflected our backgrounds and tastes. The hotel itself is also gorgeous, with original marble and brass ornaments from when it was the headquarters of the B&O railroad. Their wedding packages are very well priced and I feel like we got more than we paid for.
If we ever do a big anniversary party, we would do it at the Monaco. -

If I could give Hotel Monaco a 10 I would. We used the hotel for our Rehearsal Dinner, Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, Reception, AND after party and we could not be ANY happier with the way everything turned out. One month later we're still receiving compliments on the food, the flow of the events throughout the evening, and the friendliness and professionalism of the staff.
They worked with our families to create completely a different theme for the rehearsal dinner from what we were planning for the reception and it worked out beautifully. The rehearsal went smoothly, even though our officiant was a friend and had never done a wedding ceremony before.
The wedding day of course flew by but was a BREEZE. We were able to enjoy every moment because Randie, Yim, and Dominic took care of EVERYTHING. Randie helped us coordinate a few surprises throughout the wedding day which went off without a hitch. They made sure we were everywhere we needed to be and that we were constantly taken care of. If we were taken care of, they were making sure our guests were taken care of. If anything went wrong - one month later we still don't know about it because no one is complaining. The front desk staff were amazing as well and took care of us all day and night throughout the entire weekend - all the way through Monday.
I really cannot say enough about the people at Hotel Monaco. Not only is the venue beautiful (that should speak for itself), but we chose the hotel more because of who we'd be working with and we could not be happier. Randie, Yim, and Dominic made sure we had the most amazing night of our lives, which we most certainly did. Our friends and family continue to rave about it and will continue to for weeks and months to come! -

The Hotel Monaco in Baltimore, and its wedding/events coordinator Rachel Avarella, make ti the very best venue for a wedding ceremony and reception/dinner! Every single detail was perfect. The setting of the hotel's building with its gorgeous marble to the hotel with its boutiquey, funky feel were stunning for photos and so fun for our guests. The food was spectacular too! Our guests raved about it after...no one ever remembers the food at a wedding but ours will! I loved everything about our wedding at the Monaco and working with Rachel. PHENOMENAL! From the moment we saw this magnificent building (built in 1906; massive marble staircases, tiffany windows), gorgeous spaces, impeccably maintained furnishings, and met Randie Haber (the most knowledgable, efficient and talented event planner EVER), we knew there could be no other place for our daughter's wedding. We had extremely high expectations, and they were exceeded at every step!
The event planning and coordination with vendors was terrific, and the day of the event was a wonder to observe and participate in. Another reviewer talked about the staff functioning like a well-oiled machine, and it's true....but more like a private jet engine! Randie, Yim and Dom anticipated and provided EVERYTHING before I even knew we needed it. The bartenders and wait staff were warm, professional and efficient. Randie helped to solve last minute problems (missing groomsmen attire!) with such calm and confidence. The timeline was established and executed with surgical precision. And all the while, Randie, Yim and Dom made sure that the families were lovingly attended to and could enjoy every second of the too-fleeting day. The night was capped off with an after party in the hotel "living room" until 2am. And then the extraordinary team turned the rooms over; set up a gorgeous morning-after brunch, re-purposing the reception flowers in an artistic display on tables and windowsills. They packed up all the left-behinds from the night before for an easy check-out. Nothing was ever a problem. The answer was always "yes" (sometimes before I even thought of the question!)
And the food was extraordinary. The only wedding "venue" I know of that does not provide a menu to select from, but provided a private meeting with the chef so the bride and groom could discuss their likes and dislikes and the chef could design a custom seasonal menu. And did I mention the linens and chair selection? Unparalleled.
You and your guests will be impressed! -

Hotel Monaco was an absolute pleasure to work with. We worked with Amy and Diane, and they couldn’t have made the process any easier. The hotel is beautiful, and treated us like royalty. I have stayed at the nicest hotels in the country and this place by far surpassed them. The best part is that they allow dogs, and really add some extra special touches for the pups. From the valet to the cleaning crew, everyone was extremely kind. We will 100% stay here again. Our guest are still talking about how great the hotel was. -

i love love love the wedding team at hotel monaco! nelle and yim were the best! they were great at making my wedding go smoothly from begin to end. they were great at making sure i was taking care of and had a stress free day. they did an amazing job setting up the ceremony and reception room. it was better than i imagined. very very satisfied with the turn out.
the venue itself is gorgeous. the marble stairway makes a great back drop for wedding pictures. the presidential suite was awesome. plenty of room for everyone to get ready in. i would highly recommend hotel monaco! -

We can't say enough about how wonderful the staff at the Hotel Monaco are and how happy we were with how our wedding turned out. Nelle is the most amazing event manager and her team is second to none. Individually, they were welcoming, warm, and attentive. As a team, they operate as a well oiled machine.
From the moment we met with Nelle, we felt comfortable. She has a warm, positive personality combined with creativity and professionalism. She really took the time to find out about our likes and wants, encouraging both of us to focus in on our desires rather than what might be expected of us. She guided us, and took our thoughts and ideas and ran with them. She is great in manifesting ideas into reality. She assuaged All of our fears and concerns.
The staff was amazing. Yim and Dom are true professionals who were there for us every step of the way on our wedding day. We held both our ceremony and reception in the Paris Ballroom. Yim kept us on schedule and made sure the entire event went well. She expertly coordinated the ceremony, made certain cocktail hour in the Paris Foyer went smoothly and took great care to coordinate the reception timeline. Dom made sure we were well attended throughout the night. He really took good care of us. The rest of the staff: Sierra, Matt, Tho, Dwayne and Sam were friendly and attentive throughout the night. Chef Grace and her team prepared a menu full of great tasting food spun with Hotel Monaco signature creativity. During our food consult, she and Nelle took our wants, both simple and more complex, and creatively made each item into something elevated and delicious for the wedding.
We’d also like to mention that the Hotel Monaco is a beautiful boutique hotel. The building is historic and the décor is artistic. It’s a lovely combination of Tiffany glass windows, marble staircases and eclectic modern décor. It is a great setting for an intimate wedding. In all, we wholeheartedly recommend the Hotel Monaco. -

Where to start!?!? We worked with Randie from start to finish, and she was AMAZING. The moment we met her, she just "got it". We wanted this to be about us, not our parents or anyone else's expectations, and she was are advocate from start to finish. I originally wanted to elope and have a private affair, but the way things went with Randie - she made me feel so comfortable and ensured that my comfort was her number one priority. She and the whole staff were AMAZING. The place is gorgeous, flawless, and so cool. For weeks after the most random people who weren't even at the wedding called and were saying how amazing they said it was! I am now so happy we had this wedding. It was very "us" and comfortable, and that is 100% due to Randie and all those at Hotel Monaco. I could go on and on........... -

My new husband and I could not have asked for a better wedding consultant and team for our big day. From the first day we met with Randie Haber to our wedding day, we felt confident that we were in good hands. Like many couples, we’ve never planned a wedding before. Randie was a true professional and helped us with everything! From vendor recommendations, to all of the planning details and to ensuring that we were comfortable throughout the whole process; Randie was there for us. She understood the type of wedding we wanted and she executed!
Having really good food was very important to us and to have the ability to customize our menu based on our preferences was phenomenal! We received so many compliments on how delicious our food and cake were. HUGE props to the chefs and her team!
The entire staff at the Hotel Monaco-Baltimore was exceptional. From the guys down at the valet service, accounting, reservations and the catering staff, all went above and beyond and truly delivered a positive experience for us and all of our wedding guests.
The hotel is also beautiful and we loved that it’s a restored building that used to be a train station. It has lots of character and charm and perfect for several photo ops!
If anyone were to ask me where the best wedding venue in Baltimore is, I would certainly say, hands down, the Hotel Monaco.

When I found Hotel Monaco online while researching reception venues, I knew right away that it was exactly what I was looking for. I scheduled a meeting with their wedding coordinator, Nelle, right away and oh my gosh it blew me away. It was the one and only venue we looked at in person and I was back on the phone with Nelle the next day booking our date. It is just one of those special places that gives you goose bumps the minute you walk in and you feel like royalty from the amazing staff. It was PERFECT for our wedding - historic, yet modern and just jaw dropping, gorgeous rooms. Hotel Monaco, Nelle, and her team are the ABSOLUTE BEST EVER!!!! I seriously cannot rave about them enough. As if the hotel wasn't amazing enough, Nelle and her team do everything to make your wedding all about you - personalized menus that you create based off your favorite foods (no cookie cutter menu to pick off of), and amazing table linens, uplighting, and just everything to create your dream ballroom. For me, a disney Frozen lover, I wanted a winter wonderland wedding and that's EXACTLY what I got. Even up until the night of the wedding I could have never imagined how amazing the room would look. Nelle's taste is ON POINT!!!! She just understands and KNOWS each of her bride's styles so well. I could go on and on, but really you should just book your wedding there right now!!! -

My husband and I give the Hotel Monaco four enthusiastic thumbs up! We love, love, love the Hotel Monaco Wedding Team.
From the very beginning I knew it would be great. First, the hotel is absolutely beautiful…The marble staircases, Tiffany stained glass windows, amazing chandelier in the entrance, and fireplace in the lobby will leave you speechless. Second, the swanky hotel rooms make you feel like you’re way cooler than you really might be. Finally, NELLE and her team are the TRUTH! Seriously, they get that weddings are supposed to be a happy time of celebration between a bride, groom and their loved ones. They really took the time to get to know us and made sure that our day would be perfect. Throughout the entire process, NELLE was amazing, she made suggestions for vendors, asked how she could help, introduced us the rest of her fabulous team (i.e. YIM and DOMINIC) and pretty much took all of the stress away from planning a wedding. DIANE and AMY were also amazing with my hotel block. They gave us great rate for my out of town guests, kept us in the loop as my block started to fill, and accommodated a few late additions. I have to give an extra big thanks to TAMIKA and the rest of the front desk staff for making my guests feel like royalty. Our chef (GRACE) listened to us and helped create a menu that would reflect our personalities, but most importantly be so good that people would request more, lol.
Fast forward to the wedding and reception… Everything went EXACTLY as planned. The Ceremony was beautiful (and started on time); the cocktail hour (with the yummiest appetizers and open bar) was a success; and the reception, which was really a party into 2015, was epic (taken directly from one of my guest’s FB post)! All night people remarked about how great the food, hotel, and service was.
If your goal is to have an amazing wedding/reception without an ounce of stress, the Hotel Monaco is your place! #BestWeddingTeamEver

The Hotel Monaco is not only a beautiful venue, with a rich history and funky upgrades- it has the most incredible event staff. From day 1, the wedding coordinator made me feel like we were the only wedding she was working with. She was fun, easy, responsive, and full of great ideas! There was not a single thing on my wedding day that I had to worry about. It was nice that they offered wedding package options and worked with us on some of the items. Almost everything you need for a wedding is included in their packages. The restaurant downstairs, B&O is the caterer for the events - so you know you're getting really delicious food. The best part is that we got to do a taste test of the delicious food and then enjoy it again at our wedding.
The entire staff works with a smiling friendly face, they take care of anything right away, and treat everyone so well. I can't say enough wonderful things about the hotel and the people the put everything together. I put my faith into the professionals and I was not disappointed. I'm only sad that it's over! Every bride should be able to relax and trust that their day will go off as they plan- and Monaco did that for me. -

Nelle and the whole team at the Hotel Monaco was beyond amazing. From our very first meeting to tour the venue as a possible wedding option, they went above and beyond with customer service. The hotel itself is as fantastic as its staff; the white marble staircases and tiffany glass windows were the perfect backdrop for our wedding photos. our consultation with grace (the chef) for our menu was wonderful; she is extremely creative, and was able to incorporate all of our favorite foods into a delicious meal. we had nothing but compliments on the food...the pumpkin hummus was something many guests asked if we knew how they could make it at home! our wedding wouldn't have been possible without nelle's help and guidance. she is always available for questions, etc over email (even when i'd send 3 in a row instead of making a list and including it all in one!). most of my friends commented on my lack of stress on the big day; i had no concerns knowing that nelle and her team was taking care of our setup and organization. our wedding was perfect, everything we could have asked for, and our guests had nothing but rave reviews for the hotel and its staff. being from florida,the majority of my guests stayed at the hotel as well and loved it. thank you so much to the monaco and nelle for a perfect event! -

Hotel Monaco was the perfect atmosphere for our wedding reception-- Fun and colorful, but also formal. The food was fantastic. The wedding package that we chose took a lot of the guess-work out of the planning. We deeply appreciated the hotel's green practices, strong support of local farms and businesses, and consciousness in selecting ethically raised meat. The hotel staff was pleasant-- It was clear that each person working at Hotel Monaco loved his/her job. Everyone that we worked with did a spectacular job-- Yim, Diane, Amy, Stephanie, Mat, the chef and the entire waitstaff team. There was no request to big or too small. Hotel Monaco nailed it. But most of all, we LOVED working with Nelle Somerville. She had our backs every step of the way. Doubtless, the wedding would not have been as special as it was without her efforts. If we had it to do all over again, my husband and I would not hesitate to schedule our wedding with Hotel Monaco. -

The most amazing night of my life. Yes everyone says that about their wedding except without the help of the wedding coordinator Nelle Somerville my night could not have been more amazing. I had no clue about weddings and she helped me every single step of the way. I don't know what i would have done without her. The day of our wedding i had no worries other than how to stop myself from crying so much because her and the staff took care of everything for me. The environment was welcoming and breath taking and everyone was so attentive and the food receives ten stars because it was AMAZING. Guests told us that's the best wedding food they have ever had. Overall an AMAZING place to have your wedding :) . -

The customer service at Hotel Monaco - Baltimore was outstanding and impeccable! They anticipated every need! They treated the Bride and Groom with incredible service and upgrades. The Hotel Coordinator was extremely competent, helpful and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect! The catering staff was able to accommodate very last minute requests without missing a beat. The front desk staff was very responsive and immediately provided customer service recovery if there was any problem. Nelle is awesome! Our relationship with her grew into more than just a working one and we are extremely grateful for everything she did for us. We live in Philadelphia so she made herself available on weekends and promptly responded to our emails. She assisted on the day of by jumping in during our rehearsal and providing guidance; that really helped tackle a lot of the stress we were dealing with. We had a memorable and amazing experience and it was without any complications and we couldn't have been happier.
The staff was absolutely amazing!! We have never experienced such attention to detail, availability and willingness to go above and beyond. If we could sing their praises any further we would gladly.

I could not have dreamed that my wedding day would come together as well as it did without Hotel Monaco's help. Our wedding coordinator Nelle was amazing. Her years of experience in the wedding industry most definitely show. She always listened to my husband and my desires while also providing keen input based on her experiences planning and coordinating past weddings. You cannot imagine the barrage of e-mails that I sent and she always responded quickly to all of my concerns. Even on the morning of the wedding when I thought I would nearly faint due to the immediate fast pace of the day, Nelle arrived at 6am and helped problem-solve all morning so I could ride off into the sunset and get married without a worry. Domenic took over for Nelle once the reception was underway and he was also so helpful throughout the reception and was quite flexible to our needs throughout the process. The rest of the serving staff was also just incredible! All of my guests gushed that they felt like royalty throughout the reception.
Before the big day: our chef's consultation and tasting were great. The chef took the time to listen to our requests, offer guidance, and then provide his own input for what would work for our group size. The menu was incredibly flexible and we were allowed to be as creative as we liked. My only qualm regarding food was that on the day of the sides to our beef entree looked and tasted quite different from what expected after the tasting. Not bad, just different.
With regards to my room block, our guests absolutely loved the accommodations and were impressed by the grandeur of the hotel, but moreover by the kindness of all of the staff encountered. Amy and Diane were so easy to work with and they made setting up the room block and coordinating welcome bags an easy task.
Overall, I would choose to work with the team at Hotel Monaco a million times over. I am so grateful for their support for the 10 months up to and through my wedding day. -

Book Hotel Monaco now! In planning, I realized that the venue was the most important aspect for me. I didn't want something cookie cutter with shades of gray/beige and you will definitely not get that here. Starting with Nelle at planning was so easy. She has great ideas and makes everything painless. The fact that the B&O Brasserie does the food after consulting with you about what you like, instead of choosing from a pre-set menu, is amazing! I could not have had a better planning experience and the actual day-of was even more amazing. Nelle, Yim and the entire staff was so accommodating, helpful and FUN! We loved that the staff was dancing along with us during the reception. Our guests and families had an amazing time, but most importantly, my husband and I could not have asked for anything more. We had such a great day :-) -

Randie, Chef Brad and the entire team at the Hotel Monaco were absolutely fabulous! Highly recommend this venue. It is a great value for the money and such a beautiful backdrop. Our guests raved about the food and the location. Newly renovated Paris ballroom lends a rich and modern feel. Great staff on the guest side too. They treated all of my guests that were booking reservations with excellent customer service!
Had the most fun creating the menu with Chef Brad. Superb meal that wasn't the same old rubber chicken you get at most catered events.

My husband and I have always loved the Hotel Monaco. We've eaten at the B&O many times before and loved the food and the gorgeous hotel. We initially thought the ballrooms at the Monaco were too small for our wedding however we found out they were building a new ballroom. Yes, we booked the Monaco before construction even began on the ballroom. It was definitely worth the risk!
Before the ballroom was built, they initially told us that the ballroom could fit 175 for a reception, dance floor and band. We ended up being 150 and I think 175 would be too tight. We were very comfortable at 150 though.
Randie was great with us from start to finish. From day one, she was 100% behind the bride and groom. Sometimes, that meant clashing with parents but she was always very supportive of us and what we truly wanted. I think I exchanged about 100 emails with her and she was always very responsive.
The day of the wedding, everything went smoothly. We got compliments all night on how amazing the food and venue was. We wouldn't change our venue selection for anything! -

Nelle and the Hotel Monaco Baltimore are AMAZING! I had a nightmare of an experience with another venue (Mimslyn Inn in Luray, VA), that I eventually canceled with and forfeited my deposits, before settling with the Hotel Monaco Baltimore.
The Hotel Monaco is gorgeous. I absolutely adore the marble staircases that you see when you enter the front doors. From the public spaces and ballrooms to the guest rooms, the décor is not kitschy, plain, or boring. Instead the spaces are fun, colorful, and makes you feel hip for just being there. All of this left a huge impression and wowed our guests. During our first conversation, Randie and Nelle told us upfront that our wedding was going to be “ours” and not a “Hotel Monaco wedding”. That statement pretty much had us sold after our 2.5 month long headache of just getting a popcorn bar added to our wedding reception at the Mimslyn Inn. The menu consultation with Nelle and chef Brad was so fun and cool. It was basically a discussion of our favorite foods as a couple and from there a menu evolved. Nelle is so easy to work with (nice, creative, responsive, passionate, enthusiastic, attentive to details) and just made the experience extra special. My parents had attended tastings at both the Mimslyn Inn and Hotel Monaco. My father even said that Nelle’s energy and passion for weddings is what really set her apart from her counterpart at the Mimslyn Inn (Sherry) and made the tasting even more fun for everyone. My parents and fiancee’s mother joined us at the tasting in July and were completely blown away by the food. We all returned home excitedly sharing our experience and boasting about the food. Our wedding ceremony and reception were held in the Paris Ballroom with a cocktail reception in the Paris Lobby. The space was perfect. Nelle figured out a fantastic layout with a lot of thought about the flow of the space. I still can’t believe I ever considered getting married anywhere else. -

My family and I worked with Nelle Somerville to plan my October 5th wedding at the Hotel Monaco, which turned out even better than I could have ever imagined. The brand new Paris ballroom looked phenomenal and Nelle had her team set up everything exactly the way we had asked. Everything was picture perfect from our guestbook table to the late night popcorn and pretzel snacks that were escorted out on a cart by the Oriole bird. Nelle was patient, clever, creative, patient, prepared, funny, and PATIENT with me and my family who traveled back and forth from New York throughout the year, to plan the wedding. She was always responsive to emails, phone calls, and unscheduled visits from us!! The rest of the staff was amazing too, especially Dominic, who ran out to the closest pharmacy to get me benadryl for an allergic reaction I randomly had (after the reception was over!)
The staff was so welcoming and accommodating from the valet parkers to the chefs. Our guests raved about the food and all of the entrees were just as delicious as they had been during our tasting.
Words can't describe how amazing the Hotel Monaco is for a wedding celebration. My guests were so happy to stay at the hotel and be able to go up to their room once the reception was over and late-night partying at the B&O Brasserie downstairs ended.

Nelle Sommerville was our wedding Planner. She worked with us above & beyond . Very pleasant & helpful. Provided us with many helpful solutions to so many questions we had. My daughter's wedding was a big success due to all the work & hours spent between Nelle & the bride.
The staff was very pleasant & I must mention our catering manager, Dominic. He also went above & beyond. Extremely kind & helpful.

WOW! What an amazing venue Hotel Monaco was for our wedding day!!!! First off, the stairs looked AMAZING in our pictures!!! The living room was a perfect space for our cocktail hour! The food was absolutely delicious!! The staff at Hotel Monaco made us feel so special from start to finish! Nelle and Keith did an awesome job making sure that everything was just perfect! Everything looked beautiful! Nelle made sure to contact our florist, the bakery, our band, everyone to make sure that everything came together. I would highly recommend Hotel Monaco for a wedding reception! -

Memories that would last a lifetime. That is what I wanted and for sure it's what I got. We started working with Randie about 9 months before the wedding. She reassured me that our day would be a reflection of our dreams and wishes and that should execute our vision. She was phenomenal. She made certain that everything ran smoothly, even when the photo booth service did not show up she went way beyond her duties and sought out another photo booth vendor that happen to be staying at the hotel and saved the day. This is a perfect example of the kind of customer service you will get at the hotel Monaco. If you decide to have your event there you will not be disappointed. Thank you for a wedding that most guests are still talking about. -

The Hotel Monaco was amazing. Please read my Venue review for non-food related descriptions. I felt that the food, however, needed it's own space to shine.
The food is catered by the Hotel's on-premise restaurant: the B&O Brasserie. It's actually really nice because we were able to try-out their food before we had to decide on the venue or not. This isn't really possible with a lot of other all-inclusive style venues.
Their kitchen is amazing and their bar is amazing. All my 'foodie' friends were super impressed that the B&O was handling this for us.
To start things off, Randie the coordinator and Chef Brad met with us for a menu consultation. This was so much fun! Tangent: Basically any time that my hubby and I got invited to come down and review things we got really excited just because the place was so great and the people so nice. We figured this was a good sign that these activities weren't chores.
So, at the menu consultation, we hung out in the hotel's happy-hour in their living room and just brainstormed about foods that we liked and what would cater well to a large group. We were like, "We like venison and Sushi." Chef Brad digested that and said, "Oh sure, we know how to make a great Bison Tartar." A few weeks later, we showed up for the tasting. Everything was DELICIOUS. One meal I'd specifically asked for (from a restaurant I used to work at) was even made two ways, just to ensure that it would be prepared just the way I wanted. We actually decided on the 'spin-off' / chef's choice version. It was great! There were also nine appetizers to taste when we knew we were only planning to walk away with three.
I could get specific in the foods that we picked, but I think it's pretty irrelevant. The most important thing to know is that the kitchen is staffed by great people who really do make an extreme effort to make food that both you and they will be proud of. -

This hotel and the team that helped us with our wedding are AMAZING! We were looking for a one stop shop and they had everything: food, cake, bar, ceremony, reception room, and most of our guests stayed the night at the hotel; the rooms are beautiful and dog friendly. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, our pictures are spectacular. We had our rehearsal happy hour and our cocktail hour in the living room which was a great spot for casual socializing. AND the food. We have had only rave reviews about how delicious the food was from all of our guests. Randie, Keith and there team are so professional, efficient, pleasant, and NICE. We couldn't have been happier on our wedding day. They really made our day perfect. -

I am absolutely in LOVE with my venue. When you walk in, you are greeted by a grand marble staircase, which is amazing for your bridal photos. The hotel is so beautiful.. They have a mix of these very rich colors of burgundy, gold, green and fuschia. They blend these colors so well in the lobby and it is so warm to look at. The banquet manager Randie was great to work with and Keith was also absolutely amazing. The service at the hotel is priceless, the waiters for our wedding were so pleasant and it seemed that everyone went above and beyond for us. That alone made my wedding the best night of my life. If you go to there website and see the wedding menu there are 2 for different budgets, but you can customize the food anyway you want. You meet with the chef and banquet manager and talk about what you like what you don't like, what you want and what you don't want. You then end up having a tasting of your menu and they make you feel first class all the way. My tasting was so much fun and the food was phenomenal. My wedding day was the best night of my life. We will definitely be back to have our first year anniv party and I can't wait! -

Unique services was all I can find to explain this is where our hotel block was - and it was perfect! Most of the guests stayed in this hotel and loved the space/perks. Not to mention that the staff were very accomodating to the bride's needs, including moving some rooms around. We also chose this hotel because it is so beautiful and we took most of our pre wedding pictures here. We will definitely be coming back since it was the perfect wedding stay! -

We stayed at the Hotel Monaco several times while planning our wedding, and set up a hotel room block for our guests there for our wedding in Baltimore. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, in general we were always happy with the staff, and our guests loved it. The hotel is fairly new, and the prices are great for such a beautiful hotel in a good location (it is about 3 blocks to the inner harbor)! They have a great "living room" on the second floor for our guests to spend time together, and provide free coffee/tea in the morning, juices and lemonade (summer) in the afternoon, and wine in the evening. We were able to spend hours in the lobby living room to greet our guests as they arrived.
When looking for hotels for our guest block, the Monaco gave us the best discount, and Lauren Solins, who managed our hotel block, was always responsive to any questions I had, and kept on top of everything! Originally, getting the room block set up was a little difficult (before we worked with Lauren), which is why we give the 4.5, but once it was set up everything was perfect). They also provided us with a suite at a greatly discounted rate, and let us leave guest bags at the front desk.
We did not have our wedding at the hotel, but I could see it being a lovely location for a wedding. We did take pictures in the hotel, on the gorgeous, historic marble staircase and classy vintage furniture. We can't wait to spend time there in the future, we can't imagine staying anywhere else in Baltimore! -

The F&B Director Randy as well as the Executive Chef LaPortia were amazing! Great food, awesome staff, wonderful experience! Our guests could not stop raving about the food! They loved the location and our day went beautifully with the coordination of services and execution of what was planned. Such a unique hotel and packages were flexible!-

Beautiful venue! Great staff!
Our wedding director, Marissa, was so helpful from beginning to the day of the wedding! She was extremely patient with all our questions and needs. She made sure everything was PERFECT!!
I highly recommend working with her to plan your special day! Also, the chef was amazing. Delicious food that was unique but also catered to all the different dietary needs of the guests. Support staff and the room booking coordinator, Lauren, were all so nice and helpful as well.

We could not have chosen a more beautiful backdrop for our wedding day! Every piece of the Monaco is distinctively unique - the living room, the marble stairs, the ballroom, the guest rooms, even the bathrooms! The food is impeccable, which was a huge draw for us. We hated the idea of our guests eating "wedding chicken" and were so pleased with the customized menu created for us by Chef Brad. The staff at the Monaco all seem to be proud to be part of the brand, and our guests have commented that they felt that at every turn of the weekend. We can't wait for our anniversary stay! -

Absolutely Wonderful and Gorgeous Venue
We had a wonderful experience having our big day here! Our wedding coordinator was Marissa and she was a delight. She was an absolute delight. Everything was wonderful. The staff, the hotel in and out was breathtaking. We had the ceremony and reception here. Our guests were in awe of the wonderful set up in both areas. We also had the rehearsal dinner there at the B&O restaurant that is inside hotel. The food was devoured by our guests, so safe to say they loved it! I highly recommend them for any event you have or even as a stay cation for some R&R! -
