If I could give 1 million stars, I would!
If you are looking for an intimate setting, excellent care, and service to have your wedding at, The Kimberton Inn is your place. From planning, to the food and drink, everything was well thought out and curated. From start to finish, Jeff, Jay, and Maria were there helping us get ready for our special day. They think of all the little things you wouldn’t think of, and we felt we were always in good hands and taken care of. The Kimberton Inn is one of our favorite restaurants, and just like they deliver on a Friday evening date night, they delivered the same quality food and experience for a big party. It was hands down the best experience, and we couldn’t have been happier to have our wedding here. -The Flasher’s-

wedding review
From the groom’s perspective, I can honestly say this was the best day of my life—and a huge part of that is thanks to this incredible team.
Everything about the experience was beautiful. From the setup to the atmosphere, every detail came together perfectly and created a setting that felt both elegant and personal.
Planning was smooth from start to finish, and I have to specifically mention Jeff—he was an absolute pleasure to work with. Professional, responsive, and genuinely invested in making sure everything went right, he made the entire process easy and stress-free.
On the wedding day, everything ran flawlessly. I didn’t have to think about logistics once, which allowed me to be fully present and enjoy every moment with my wife, family, and friends.
If you want a team that truly cares and delivers something special, this is it. I couldn’t recommend them more. -

A Perfect Day From Start to Finish
I honestly don’t even know where to start—our wedding day was everything we hoped for and more. From the beginning, everything felt easy and well taken care of, which made such a difference for us. We were actually able to enjoy the day instead of stressing about little things.
Everything looked so beautiful, and the whole atmosphere just felt warm and happy. So many of our guests told us how much they loved it and how smoothly everything went, which meant a lot to hear.
And the food… wow. We’re still getting messages about it. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and just so well done—it honestly felt like restaurant-quality (if not better). It’s rare that wedding food stands out this much, but this absolutely did.
Also, we can’t say enough about Jeff. He was there for us every step of the way—answering questions, helping with decisions, and just making sure we felt comfortable throughout the whole process. Having someone that supportive made everything so much less overwhelming.
What stood out the most overall was how relaxed we felt. We could just focus on each other and being with our family and friends, and that’s exactly what we wanted. Looking back, we wouldn’t change a thing. We’re really grateful for how everything turned out.

Kimberton Inn
Working with the owner Jeff, was an absolute pleasure from start to finish—responsive, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making our wedding day perfect. Every question was answered quickly, and every detail felt thoughtfully handled, which made the entire planning process so much less stressful.
On the day of the wedding, the staff truly exceeded our expectations. They were attentive, professional, and incredibly kind to both us and our guests. Everything ran smoothly, and we felt completely taken care of the entire time.
Our guests are still raving about the amazing food and the overall experience—they truly had the best time. We also loved having our three-piece band, which added so much energy and atmosphere to the celebration and made the night feel even more special.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a seamless and unforgettable wedding day.-

Wedding Review
We loved our wedding at Kimberton Inn. Jeff and the staff are very professional and respectful. You can count on every detail to be taken care of. We enjoyed their personal approach and customizable options. And of course, the food is amazing. We still receive compliments from our guests on how much they loved the venue and the food. Another bonus of Kimberton Inn is we are able to go back and celebrate for an anniversary dinner or date night. Highly recommend! -

Wedding of my Dreams
It is hard to put words together with how amazing our wedding was. The Kimberton Inn is so beautiful. You truly do not need any decor other than flowers (if that!). The food was amazing and don't get me started on the carrot cake wedding cake they made us! It was to die for! The person who made this all come together was the owner, Jeff. He is an amazing host and was there throughout the entire process. Any time I was nervous, he was right there giving me the courage. He even fluffed my veil before I went down the aisle! The staff were amazing as well--I had quite the bit of anxiety before going down the aisle, however he had his staff right there with me with water and tissues and motivating words. Honestly, at this point they all seem like family. I wouldn't have changed a thing. We will be back often! -

Perfect Day
When we began making the rounds of possible wedding venues, we were immediately impressed with both, The Kimberton Inn itself and with Jeff, the owner and manager. He emphasized from the beginning, that the ultimate goal was our complete satisfaction and unforgettable memories of our wedding day. Well, both were accomplished!
At the first of several meetings, Jeff said that either his partner or himself, would be there and coordinate every detail that day, from start to finish. By the time our day finally arrived, every detail, every question or concern, was addressed and answered to our satisfaction. But in addition to that, every question or concern that we hadn’t thought about, was brought up by Jeff, from his experience of planning and overseeing hundreds of weddings in the past. As an example, Jeff discussed at length, as to how he would work with any of our guests that had dietary restrictions, in a way that would not make them feel uncomfortable.
In the days and weeks after the wedding, our guests, with no exception, remarked about the absolute high quality of the food, attentiveness, professionalism and kindness of the wait staff and the overall guidance and presence of Jeff, at each and every phase of our unforgettable day.
We can, without any doubt whatsoever, recommend The Kimberton Inn as the venue for your wedding.

Amazing food!!
We had our wedding at The Kimberton Inn in October 2025 and we honestly could not have asked for a better experience. The Inn is a beautiful historic building (now operating as a restaurant), and the atmosphere is elegant, cozy, and incredibly romantic, perfect for an intimate wedding.
We chose this venue for the reasonable pricing, the outstanding food, and because Kimberton is where I grew up, so the Inn has always been near and dear to my heart. From the very beginning, the planning process was smooth and stress-free. Jeff, the owner, was fantastic to work with. It was clear he has coordinated many weddings before. He explained everything clearly, laid out our options, and let us make decisions at our own pace.
On the wedding day itself, Jeff truly went above and beyond. Having the owner of the venue essentially act as our day-of coordinator was an enormous help. He ushered guests where they needed to go, lined everyone up for the ceremony, and kept everything running seamlessly. Not a single thing went wrong. Leading up to the wedding, he was always reachable by phone, which gave us so much peace of mind.
The food was absolutely incredible and easily one of the highlights of the day. The wait staff was attentive and professional, everything was cooked perfectly, and every dish tasted amazing. It was genuinely one of the best meals we’ve ever had.
We made a special request to surprise my groom with a tomahawk steak even though it wasn’t on the menu. Jeff specially ordered it for him and the chef spent several hours preparing it. My husband said it was by far not only the best steak he's ever had, but the best meal he's ever had. It turned out incredible. My husband absolutely loved it.
Do yourself a favor and use the Kimberton Inn's in-house baker for your wedding cake!! I personally do not really like cake, or at least I thought I didn't until I had a bite of our wedding cake. It was the most delicious dessert I've ever had and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it several months later. She used a French buttercream that's not too sweet, and the entire thing had a wonderful vanilla taste. I would order a cake from the Kimberton Inn just to eat!!
The ceremony space was romantic and private. While it is on the smaller side, we brought our own décor and it turned out beautifully. The venue worked perfectly for our guest count (70).
We absolutely felt The Kimberton Inn was worth every penny, and we would highly recommend it to any couple looking for a historic, intimate wedding venue with exceptional food and hands-on coordination. Our wedding day went absolutely perfectly, and we loved every moment of it.
Thank you so much to Jeff and the entire staff at the Kimberton Inn for making our wedding so special and truly the happiest day of our life.-

Best Wedding Ever!
If I could give the Kimberton Inn a rating of 10 stars I would do it in a heartbeat! We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Kimberton Inn on Ground Hog's Day in 2008. Everything about the day was absolutely perfect; the owner, Jeff, was incredibly helpful during the event and in our pre-event preparation meetings. The staff performed flawlessly making our guests feel welcomed and pampered. The food was beyond delicious. The ambiance of this truly magnificent historical Inn was the perfect backdrop to a day that we still talk about with our friends and family. We highly recommend the Kimberton Inn! Jeff, Jason and the entire Kimberton staff will make your special day one that you will treasure for the rest of your life. -

Everything I Wanted
I was looking for a more intimate, but not overcrowded, charming wedding with excellent food - and I got exactly that at Kimberton Inn. We had around 80 guests who all raved about how great the food was and got plenty of beautiful photos for themselves as well. The entrance is iconic but the grass area was great for photos too. Jeff & Jason were so easy to work with and I appreciated their candor. The value of having the ceremony on site and they did almost all the set up was unbelievable. We also had a significant number of guests who do not drink but wanted to offer open bar for those who did and they worked with us to where it was very fair, a lot of other venues wouldn't even consider doing that, and that is the great thing about working with smaller local family owned businesses. The guest count changed last minute and everything was so seamless and fair and not stressful for me! It allowed me to focus on my wedding day the way it should be. Honestly, I am so glad that I found this venue and have somewhere to go back for anniversaries - I'm recommending it to everyone! The ambiance, ease/flexibility, and food quality all contributed to my wedding day being everything I wanted. -

Beautiful Wedding Venue
We had the most wonderful wedding experience at The Kimberton Inn. Between the beautiful venue, delicious food, and professionalism and dedication of the staff, it turned out to be the perfect day. Our ceremony was held on the lawn followed by an indoor cocktail hour and reception where we danced the night away! Everything flowed so well. Jeff truly knows how to create an unforgettable wedding day and we still get compliments to this day. The Kimberton Inn is surrounded by beautiful, rustic scenery which made for awesome pictures!! Overall, I would highly recommend this wedding venue. -

The best reception venue!
Our wedding day at the Kimberton Inn was truly everything we could have dreamed of and more. Working with Jeff was an absolute joy. He made the entire planning process seamless and brought our vision to life effortlessly. The food was beyond delicious, and every guest raved about the unforgettable formal dining experience. The team went above and beyond to accommodate my gluten allergy, and our gluten-free wedding cake was not only beautiful but incredibly tasty. Every detail was handled with such care, creating a day that was elegant, joyful, and absolutely perfect. It was the best day ever, and if we had to do it all over again, we would choose the Kimberton Inn a million times over.-

Our Wedding at the Kimberton Inn
We were considering several locations for our wedding ceremony and reception, but after visiting the Kimberton Inn we knew that we had our venue. We loved the classic charm and the historic “feel” of the Inn – and it was especially warm and welcoming on the day it was decorated for our wedding. Jeff is a knowledgeable and experienced owner, and his professionalism and attention to detail were huge factors in helping our wedding day become such a success. The service staff was exceptional, too, very welcoming and helpful. And the food, from the cocktail hour hors d’ouevres to the dinners and desserts, was exceptional! We wanted a wedding day celebration that we and our guests would be talking about for a long time, and months later we still hear that it was one of the nicest weddings they had ever attended. The Kimberton Inn made that happen. -

Once in a Lifetime
The personalized approach that was taken by Jeff and his team is what made our wedding reception at the Kimberton Inn a day that we and our guests will remember with much happiness for the rest of our lives. We told Jeff our vision, and he provided suggestions to make them a reality. The elegant, rustic charm of the Inn, the magnificent food, and the attention to detail shown by the staff was mind-blowing. If you desire a reception that is unique, custom-tailored to you, and a venue that is stunning, then the Kimberton Inn should be your first (and last) call. -

In Jeff We Trust
My wife and I couldn’t be happier with the services we were provided at the Kimberton Inn for our wedding. Our party was approximately 80 people and this was the perfect venue for us. The menu choices we were offered to serve our guests were fantastic. Dozens of people complimented us that this was among the best weddings that they had attended, no doubt due to the quality of food and the exceptional service and attention to detail under the watchful eye of proprietor Jeff Effgen.
When we were deciding where to have our affair, Jeff patiently educated us about the process of choosing your wedding venue, and assured us and convinced us that the Kimberton Inn would stun us and our guests for a price we could afford and he was true to his word. The banquet hall was intimate and meticulously maintained. The food was absolutely top notch, and for an excellent price. In the years since our wedding, we have returned annually to the Inn for our anniversary, and every year we are recognized and made to feel like we are still valued special guests. For exceptional service, incredible food, and a beautiful atmosphere, you can trust the staff of the Kimberton Inn with your wedding.
We also had our rehearsal dinner there as well, in the wine cellar, a truly spectacular and unique dining experience.

kimberton inn wedding
The Kimberton inn did an amazing job with our wedding. Jeff the owner made the planning process extremely simple as he walked us through how our day would look and the planning process. He also was a great resource for other vendor recommendations and general advice. All of our guests loved the food and dining experience. We can't wait to go back the the Kimberton Inn to celebrate our anniversary. -

We loved our wedding
We couldn’t be happier with our choice to have our wedding at the Kimberton Inn. My wife dreamed of a moody, intimate winter wedding, and the Kimberton Inn delivered in every way. The cozy fireplace created the perfect atmosphere, and the space was just right for our 80–100 guests—warm, inviting, and full of character.
We visited other venues, but from the moment we met Jeff, we knew this was the place for us. His professionalism, genuine care, and attention to detail made all the difference. He took the stress out of planning and made sure every detail was handled seamlessly, allowing us to truly enjoy our day.
The food was absolutely incredible. We loved that guests were given a menu to choose their entrée on the day of the wedding—so much better than pre-selecting months in advance. The same went for dessert—guests picked from the menu instead of the standard wedding cake, which was such a refreshing change and a huge hit.
Our wedding day was everything we hoped for and more. If you’re looking for a venue that combines charm, amazing food, and impeccable service, we can’t recommend the Kimberton Inn enough. Jeff and his team truly made our day unforgettable.

If you want a venue that your guests will talk about for years to come, read below:
When we were searching for a venue, we wanted something a bit different. I didn't want just some huge empty hall and most importantly, the food needed to be the star of the show. Most venues we visited were so contract heavy and filled with stipulations of what we CAN'T do and we assumed it was normal. That is until we met Jeff over at The Kimberton Inn. He was the first person that a) wasn't in a rush b) didn't push us into spending more then we had c) asked us what WE wanted. This man was so laid back and a breath of fresh air. We told him what we wanted and he told us how they could make it happen. The Kimberton Inn is stunning with rustic warm vibes and truly beautiful landscape outside for photo ops. The food is also incredible. We have all had a dry wedding chicken and potato option before and as a chef, I wanted something worth paying for, a dinner to remember if you will. They delivered. Full size portions of massive crab cakes, lamb chops, duck, salmon and an impressive cocktail hour with great apps and drinks. The service was top notch. Jeff worked with us from start to finish and was there through the whole reception. Jeff even went out of his way to ensure my disabled mother was comfortable and could get where she needed. (Something I will always remember as it was so important to me and as a bride, your attention is pulled everywhere at all times.) I highly recommend The Kimberton Inn. Set up a meeting.-

Beautiful Historic Venue
Since this was the 4th wedding for our family, having 4 daughters, we had a good idea of what we wanted and how we wanted it executed. During the planning session, we discussed with Jeff our needs and desires and with minor modifications he was able to do everything we wanted in the way we wanted it done. This was in contrast to previous experiences where we had to modify things to meet the venues requirements.
On the night before the event, wedding outside, reception inside, we were forced to move everything inside due to the weather. Jeff handled the move of locations without a hitch. When it came to the event the food was fantastic, the service was great and attention to detail was phenomenal. The cake supplied by the Inn was beautiful and absolutely delicious, with different flavored layers.
All of this was done for what we considered to be a very reasonable price. We would highly recommend the Inn to anybody looking for a cozy and charming venue.

An amazing evening!
We used the Kimberton Inn for our rehearsal dinner which was about 55 people—everything was incredible!!! I grew up about a mile down the road from here and had somehow never eaten here; we will be back for dinner! They made special menus for our dinner & we had our own private room. The food was fantastic & the service impeccable. We were a covid couple who rescheduled by a year-they gave no problems when we needed to drastically change the dinner date, which is so appreciated-venues like this who respond well during unprecedented situations deserve the most consideration for future events!! My parents made a slideshow to show at the rehearsal & they were accommodating with showing this as well. Thank you so much for an amazing evening!! -

Perfect day
Our wedding day truly exceeded our expectations! Jeff & Jay were very clear about exactly what to expect throughout the process and have every detail well thought out. They also responded very quickly to questions along the way. On our wedding day, everything went exactly according to the plan we discussed. The food was excellent and the setting is beautiful. These were the two most important things I was looking for in a venue, and that’s exactly what we got there. Food is all made to order. They don’t even ask you to get guest orders in advance, they give everyone a little menu to choose from. The service was perfect; at no time was anyone sitting around waiting for food or a drink refill, but service was not rushed either. Even a few nit-picky details I asked about where attended to. (I asked if the butter could be softer than it was at our tasting. Still laughing at myself a bit about this bc it really was nit-picky... did not expect them to remember about that, but the butter really was softer!!) Also, having Jeff & Jay there on our actual day overseeing everything gave me a lot of peace of mind. About price, I would not call it “cheap” but it was a good value. They give you the actual whole cost for the reception in one price (small add’l charge for on-site ceremony). Whereas other venues might advertise a certain price that looks lower at first, but once you talk to them it turns out that that price doesn’t include mandatory items (like tax and gratuity... or plates & flatware :-p). Frankly I found that practice at other places to be a bit disingenuous and it put me off. So of the venues we looked at, in the end Kimberton was competitive on price and definitely offered a better overall experience. I could not be more happy with our decision to go to Kimberton! -

Perfection
We had our dream wedding at the Kimberton Inn in May 2019. Jeff and Jason were there with us every step of the way from planning, to answering questions, and helping us with last minute changes. They are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and made it so we didn't have to worry about our ceremony and reception. Everything ran so smoothly and our guests had an AMAZING time! It is very hard to come by venues who take so much pride in what they do (and for a reasonable price), and I would highly recommend the Kimberton Inn for any wedding. Our guests are still talking about the amazing food and staff! The Kimberton Inn was the first venue we looked at, and we didn't need to look anywhere else because it was so perfect! This historic building allowed for the most beautiful wedding photos and the ambiance is breath taking. Thank you to everyone at Kimberton Inn for the most perfect wedding day! -

We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding reception! From the very beginning, Jeff’s expertise, attention to detail, and incredible hospitality helped to create an experience that was so memorable and flawlessly executed. Jeff, the general manager and owner, was a true pleasure to work with, and we were grateful for his direct communication and dedication to excellent service. He was very helpful in strategizing how we could best achieve the day we wanted (such as using the cocktail hour at the inn to greet our guests instead of having a receiving line right after the outdoor ceremony in the August heat). He also graciously accommodated elements that were important to us, such as having his staff set up our handmade and detailed centerpiece arrangements. The whole staff worked so hard to ensure that the day stayed on schedule, no glass was empty, and that every member of our party enjoyed themselves. We received so much amazing feedback on the superb quality of service, the gorgeous venue, and the incredible meal (especially the salmon and crabcakes). We also appreciated the venue rates, very reasonable for providing delicious food and drink (including top shelf liquors) to 120 people, presented to us upfront with no hidden site fees. We had heard only good things about the Kimberton Inn, and are excited to recommend it to others and return for many anniversaries to come!

There is absolutely nothing critical we can say about our experience at the Kimberton Inn. We would encourage everyone, even those in Philly, like us, to consider this beautiful, historic venue in the Chester County countryside. They are LGBT friendly and were lovely to us!
Planning was a breeze, as their wedding packages are all inclusive - open bar, appetizers, cocktail hour, champagne toast, three-course meal, white and red wine with dinner, wedding cake - EVERYTHING was included in the per person price. We ended up looking at venues in the city that cost more just to rent the space (let alone having to deal with picking a tiered package for booze, picking a catering package plus add-ons, etc.) than it did for our whole package. We met with Jeff two or three times, and everything was exactly as we asked for on the day. This process was so extraordinarily easy with Jeff at the helm.
On the day, the staff could not have been more attentive. Jeff saw to the bridal party personally, bringing us drinks for our nerves, making sure that we had everything we needed, from a private room in which to get ready, to towels to dry off the bridal bouquets, which had been in vases. He was meticulous in helping us get a count of the guests and keeping us on our timeline for the ceremony and the cocktail hour and dinner. The food was fabulous, from its gorgeous presentation to the excellent quality. The waitstaff was extraordinarily attentive and gracious, even going so far as giving us a quick lesson on how to cut our wedding cake (hey, we'd never done it before!). Our guests raved and raved, saying that this was one of the most wonderful weddings, if not the most wonderful wedding they'd ever attended. Even one of the brides' parents who has been in hospitality for 40 years was overly effusive in how wonderful the evening was. If you are looking for upscale food, extraordinary service, and no worries for your most special day, we HIGHLY recommend you consider the Kimberton. -

From the moment we met with Jason, we were confident that the Kimberton Inn would be perfect for our wedding reception. It is a quaint inn, beautiful places for pictures, delicious food, and fantastic service. Jason was able to walk me through what our reception would be like, give us pointers on ideas we had to make our reception special, and then direct us through the day. It was a flawless reception, everyone seemed to have a great time, and we couldn’t have asked for better staff to help us in the process. -

Our wedding at the Kimberton Inn was absolutely flawless. We got married this October and could not have been more pleased with the service provided by Jeff (the owner) and Jason (our wedding coordinator). They answered every question we could have possibly had, even measuring a table for us over the phone at 9:20pm during dinner service. I cannot express how highly we recommend this venue to any couple looking for a venue. The food was phenomenal- not one of our guests was disappointed. We also had quite a few guests with food allergies and they were accommodated without a second thought. What we loved the most was how personable the entire staff was, especially Jeff. It is not often you see the owner of a business doing brunt work, but Jeff was there every step of the way, including the day of the wedding! He served our guests, assisted with the ceremony, and took care of everything. At the end of our wedding we hit a snag with our debit card and Jeff and Jason did all they could to take the stress away. They were so trusting of us and treated us as people, not just a sale or a profit. They assured it would all work out and they were not worried about it, even letting us pay the next day. My husband and I feel as though the night was perfect and if we could do it again, we would go back to Kimberton in a heartbeat. -

Jeff and his staff at the Kimberton Inn are TOP NOTCH!! If I was able to rate more than 5 stars they would of earned it hands down. My wife and I had our wedding ceremony and reception there May 2017 and it was absolutely the best decision we made. We had a very small intimate wedding with about 40 guests. Jeff made us feel at home right away! Being a gay couple sometimes it is hard to find businesses that are gay friendly and Jeff and his staff went above and beyond for my wife and I and our guests!!
The food was INCREDIBLE!!! Our guests still talk about how amazing the service was and how delicious the food was months later! Jeff allowed us to make our food selections that catered to mine and my wide's food allergies with out any issue. Everyone at the Inn made our guests feel like they were at home the entire time and kept complimenting the staff the whole evening and beyond.
If you are looking for a beautiful outdoor and indoor venue with the best possible food and drinks and services, then book Kimberton Inn right now. -

We had our rehearsal dinner at Kimberton Inn on 8/25/17. There was another event taking place that evening as well the restaurant being pretty full, but you wouldn't have known it. The service was wonderful the entire night. Jeff (the owner) was upstairs at the beginning of the dinner to make sure we were okay and then stopped by several times throughout the evening. The food was fantastic, as always. Most guests had either the crabcake or salmon and were happy with their selections. Jeff really works with you to come up with a plan and meal options that work for you and your budget. He doesn't make you pick a standard package, which many other restaurants do. We would highly recommend having an event at Kimberton Inn. -

We had the most special day when we had our wedding at the Kimberton Inn this June! immediately looked at their website and got a great feeling about the space and the offerings.
I wanted a Saturday brunch wedding for no more than (60) guests and all other places has told me this was impossible that they only had afternoon/evening weddings on Saturdays or I had to guarantee at least (100) guests or that I would be one of 2 or 3 weddings that day among various mysterious ‘facility fees’ that they couldn’t explain away. Jeff was kind and well informed from the beginning and he took the time to discuss what we wanted and ask us questions that made us continue to evolve our ideas for our wedding. We toured the Kimberton and saw how Jeff interacted with his staff and at the end, he customized a rough draft of our contract and we continued to change and add to it up until a couple weeks before our wedding. On June 3rd, I felt completely at ease as everything was a whirl around me and I knew that the Kimberton would handle everything perfectly and be memorable for us and our guests and even months later we are still hearing about how much everyone loved it. Our brunch menu was customized for us from the Kimberton’s own regular menu and our guests were enchanted by the event space and commented on the warmth and togetherness of the reception. I was able to have and do everything that I had always envisioned for my wedding right down to having a classical pianist for our reception and NOT having to share my special day and special venue with any other bride. The grounds offered a beautiful backdrop to our wedding photos and the old time elegance of the inn added to our romantic intimate vibe that we wanted to share with our guests. My husband and I can not say enough about how poised and efficient the staff are, how delightful the atmosphere, or how much we were able to do with our budget with Jeff’s guidance a -

Aside from saying "Yes" to marrying my best friend, choosing The Kimberton Inn for our wedding venue was one of the best decision I've ever made! Planning our big day was a walk in the park, all thanks to the incredibly competent, compassionate, devoted and simply marvelous work done by everyone at The Kimberton.
Price: INCREDIBLY affordable, especially with the quality of service, food and overall experience you receive. No surprises at the end with the bill. They are up front with fixed costs, and work with you to find the best options that fit your budget.
Staff: Simply put, they are experts. Attentive, professional, friendly and accommodating.
Food: Out-Of-This-World! Everything is prepared then and there. You get the same quality of dining you would if you went there for a dinner for two. Our guests raved about the food for months after our wedding!
Planning & Coordination: During a time that can easily become cumbersome and overwhelming, Jeff and Jay never let you forget what you are actually celebrating. They address any/all questions and concerns promptly. They provide you with a clear outline of what to expect. They offered their expert opinions, but encouraged us to make decisions on what WE envisioned for our day. They made planning for a wedding FUN and EASY!
I am looking forward to celebrating our anniversaries there for many years to come. I can't thank The Kimberton Inn enough for making our wedding day simply perfect..... beyond perfect.
I would recommend The Kimberton Inn to anyone and everyone! You can expect nothing less than perfection and excellence! -

We had a perfect wedding at the Kimberton Inn in July 2017. If you're looking for a beautiful space in the Philadelphia suburbs to host your mid-sized wedding, look no further.
First - the owner and events planner, Jeff, has been in the business for years. He's honest and upfront about all costs associated with the wedding (which are extremely reasonable for the high value received) unlike most other venues. He has great suggestions on how to host your special day but is accommodating to your own ideas as well. And finally, he runs an extremely professional staff that together make the day run seamlessly.
Second - the venue! The Inn is beautiful, colonial style space complete with a red mill on the property and small lake across the street. Absolutely perfect for pictures!! Inside, the venue is full of old, colonial charm while being clean, well kept and beautifully designed. You'll get the opportunity to utilize the full space with the cocktail hour in the renovated bar area followed by the reception in the gorgeous ballroom. The ballroom has a huge fireplace and three picture windows overlooking the mill which we filled with flowers and candles for our July wedding. It was stunning!!
Finally - the food is incredible. One of the best parts of having your wedding here is the food because unlike many venues where the food is brought in and catered, the Kimberton Inn is first and foremost a top quality restaurant. Best of all - your guests get to select their dinner when they are at their seats instead of months in advance via RSVP. Our menu consisted of steak, lobster and salmon and it was ALL delicious!! Our cake was also included in the package. We chose a delicious strawberry and whipped cream and they decorated it perfectly based on a picture I sent them.
Our wedding at the Kimberton Inn was incredible. We had the best night ever and our friends and family could not stop raving about the night. Huge thanks to Jeff and his staff for everything!!

We had 50 guests attend our 12/30/16 evening wedding. During the holiday season the restaurant is decorated beautifully with trees, poinsettia & more! After our ceremony in the ballroom, we had cocktails in the newly expanded charming bar area with a real log fire burning large fireplace. The bartender's & wait staff were all highly trained and all had a happy smile. Service by all staff was exceptional. Our meals in the beautiful ball room all came out hot and perfectly prepared, the deserts are to die for! Attention to every detail was made by all staff involved with our wedding, which made it stress free and a very pleasant experience to say the last.... Thank you everyone at the Kimberton Inn for giving us our dream wedding! -

My husband and I selected The Kimberton Inn for our wedding this past July because it was a place where we always loved to go and enjoy a delicious meal and nice atmosphere. We were excited to see that The Kimberton Inn was also a wedding venue so as soon as we met with the owner Jeff, we were sold on having this location for our special day.
Jeff was very transparent from the start walking us through everything that the package would include with the cost (and it was a lot and very reasonable). We were able to have our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception there. It took a lot of stress off our plates in the planning arena. Jeff was with us at every step of the way all the way up to the wedding day. Everything was perfect.
Our guests had an amazing time and were so impressed by the delicious food and amazing service. They are still talking about it! My husband and I could not be any happier with our choice and are very thankful to Jeff and his team for making our day perfect! -

The Kimberton Inn is a fantastic establishment! We have always loved the food, service, and environment. It kept us returning for romantic Valentine’s Day dinners the last three years. When looking into venues for our wedding, The Kimberton Inn was not initially an establishment that we thought about. However, after looking into multiple traditional wedding/reception venues, we contacted The Kimberton Inn, and saw it as a natural fit. From our first visit with Jeff to our last, the interactions were conversational, the planning process was smooth and stress was eased. The day of our wedding was the hottest day of summer, but the Kimberton Inn staff were cool, professional, and accommodating. Jeff and his employees thought through everything, reflected our vision for the day, and executed perfectly from the delectable food and immaculate environment to the extraordinary service. -

Jeff and his staff did an excellent job!!! Our day was perfect. Jeff is on top of everything and makes it a point to cover every detail. The price was very reasonable and Jeff explained everything that you were paying for. There were no hidden cost and he did not take payment till we were satisfied. My guest loved the food ( actually said the best wedding food they have had)., and the atmosphere was very intimate. Jeff and his staff periodically checked through out the reception to make sure everything was going well. I could not have asked for better venue. I would highly recommend the Kimberton Inn for your wedding. You will not be disappointed!! Thank you Jeff and the Kimberton Inn staff. You made our day very special and one we will never forget!! -

We had an intimate reception here (40-50) guests July 4th weekend and it was perfect! Everything exceeded our expectations, from the set up, service, and food. Several of our guests said it was the best food they have had at a wedding reception. (One guest said it was the best steak they have EVER had!). The staff was lovely, and planning with Jeff made us feel confident that everything would go smoothly on the day of. We highly recommend having your reception here!!! -

There are so many great things about the Kimberton Inn, and they all start with the owner, Jeff. He is clearly an expert when it comes to running a restaurant as well as planning and managing a wedding. Jeff was extremely helpful, and made himself available throughout the entire process. His years of experience translated into a lot of useful advice on everything from entree choices to arrangement of the ceremony. Perhaps even more important, his approach to the whole experience is somewhat casual and relaxed, which was a great source of calm in the generally stressful experience of having a wedding. It was clear he knew what he was doing, and we felt very confident working with him.
After Jeff, the best thing about a wedding at the Kimberton Inn is the food. If you're like me, you've probably been to plenty of weddings with food that is either (a) portioned to satisfy small children only, or (b) is a budget buffet that doesn't make you want a second helping. A reception at the Kimberton Inn promises a third option. During and following the reception, the most common refrain we heard from our guests was about how delicious and satisfying the food was. As the Kimberton Inn is first and foremost a restaurant it is no surprise that the food was superb. They also set up the cake (not sure if the baker was in-house or not), which was also top-notch. And finally, our guests also praised their selection in their open bar.
Honestly, I could go on for a few pages about all of the wonderful things about our wedding at the Kimberton Inn, but you don't need to read all the minutiae. All you need to know is that if you are looking to have a small-to-medium sized wedding in the general vicinity of Valley Forge, don't waste your time looking anywhere else. Go with the Kimberton Inn, and you definitely won't regret it. -

This to be was a short outdoor ceremony on the Inn's grounds, followed by a smallish reception in the restaurant's main room with about 60-70 guests. Our special situation was that the bride and groom was remote and was not able to meet live, and almost all decisions were deferred to us, the bride's parents. From the first conversation with Jeff, we were confident that the Kimberton Inn would be able to fill our needs. He was able to provide options, but just as important, gave us suggestions and asked questions that made the decisions easier for us. The restaurant is charming and small, giving our out of town guests a great impression of classic Chester County historic style. It is the opposite of a big wedding factory, giving personalized attention to us and our guests. I very much liked the idea that our guests would be asked for their meal choices at the reception, reinforcing the quality of the food that was being made at the time of the reception rather than asking our guests for meal choices weeks in advance. Jeff recommended a DJ Jeff has worked with who was familiar with the space, whom we also picked. On the day of the ceremony and reception, everything ran smoothly with Jeff politely but firmly directing the initial events. Where necessary, he asked us questions about details but always made a sensible recommendation based on his experience. The oeur d'oeuvres during cocktail hour and the actual reception meals were wonderful, just as good as you'd expect in a normal restaurant dining experience. Many of our guests went out of their way to compliment the quality of the food. I want to especially cite the extraordinary waitresses who were not only very efficient at taking orders, keeping glasses filled, and clearing the tables, but perhaps more important had a terrific attitude and smiles that I think helped make the whole day flow well. Compared to other venues we looked at, the Kimberton Inn was an outstanding value.

Our wedding day was SPECTACULAR because the venue was outstanding. We had our ceremony and reception at the Historic Kimberton Inn located in the quaint little town of Kimberton,PA on 12.13.14. If you are looking for a hassle free experience and getting everything you are promised...look no further. The flowers they offered were beautiful, the cake they provide was designed exactly as requested and delicious, the dinner selection was to die for and your guest will not stop talking about the choices and the taste. The serving staff is second to none. Look no further future brides...do not overlook this charming venue and all its amenities. Jeff, the owner "is your man" to discuss all your wants and needs. Your wedding will not only be memorable but I guarantee it will exceed your expectations. It did mine!! I would have to say that every part of the planning...from our initial meeting with Jeff (when we were looking for a venue) to the last dance on our wedding day... was as perfect as we all hope such a special event would be...and as promised!! I can not say enough about Jeff and his experienced staff. The professionalism and expertise they displayed was outstanding. From the quality and quantity of the food and drink selection to the most attractive and delicious wedding cake with the lovely display of flowers...Jeff does it all and he does it extremely well. Be as pleased as we were. Have your special day at the BEST venue around....the Kimberton Inn...I know you will not be disappointed. Rosemarie -

We chose the Kimberton Inn not just for its obvious aesthetic allure, but also for the talents of its owner, Jeff Effgen. First of all, we couldn’t have asked for a more thorough, thoughtful, organized, insightful, and professional planner than Jeff. That’s the big takeaway when choosing the Kimberton Inn versus anywhere else: You get the experience and forward thinking of someone who has literally seen and done it all. Jeff vested quite a bit of time listening to our needs and concerns. He was patient and methodical when proposing his own suggestions and asking poignant questions. He certainly helped us to see things that we had previously not considered. And Jeff tailored the event to suit our budget while minding the many details that contributed to a wonderful event overall. Secondly, not enough can be said for the actual venue itself. We opted to have an outdoor wedding on the Kimberton Inn grounds. It was a beautiful day set amongst a gorgeous and scenic backdrop. We had approximately fifty attendees, so it was quaint and cordial. After the relatively short ceremony, we headed indoors for a pre-reception meet and greet. Jeff and his staff were as friendly and accommodating as ever. Afterwards, we gathered in the main reception room for a superb meal. Regardless of meal option, the consensus was that the food was fantastic and everything was served promptly. Again, the attention to detail (music choice/volume, décor, schedule, etc.) was spot-on. But the best part of our day was how well our guests were treated. Brandie and I made it a point to ask our friends and family how they enjoyed their time and it was universally praised…many of whom agreed that it was perhaps the best wedding they had ever attended (I realize I’m partial here, but I wouldn’t disagree at all). It was literally perfect and I simply can’t think of a single thing that fell short of our expectations. Kudos again to Jeff and his talented team! -

We had an amazing experience having our wedding ceremony and reception at the Kimberton Inn. Jeff (the owner) and his staff are extremely thorough and worked hard to give us our dream wedding. Jeff took the time to understand everything we wanted in our ceremony and reception. He met with us several times to go over every detail of our big day. You can tell how much he cares about the Inn and making your wedding day perfect. The venue itself is charming and allows for different spaces for guests to experience. Our cocktail hour was in the restaurant area which included tables and a bar area, giving guests different options for socializing. The reception room is absolutely beautiful, with its large bow windows and gorgeous fireplace. On the day of our wedding, there was a chance or rain and Jeff worked with us up until the last minute to figure out the best plan for the ceremony. Although we hoped to have it outside, the indoor ceremony was just as beautiful because the windows in the room overlook the Kimberton mill. Everything was picture perfect! The dinner was absolutely delicious!! If you've been to the Kimberton Inn for dinner, then you know the quality of their meals. Our wedding guests ordered off our personalized menus when they sat down at their tables. The food was prepared fresh and all of our guests still rave about their meals!! The staff was so hard-working and were constantly checking on our guests. And when guests got up, the staff would make sure to refold their napkins. We cannot say enough wonderful things about the Kimberton Inn. We did not have to worry about anything. Jeff was always there to check in with us and make sure we were taken care of. I would recommend the Kimberton Inn as a wedding venue to any bride-to-be!!! You will not be disappointed, Jeff is a hard working professional who prides himself on perfection. He will make your wedding day flow with ease allowing you to enjoy every minute! -

We had close to 200 guests and, because of this large number, the owner, Jeff Effgen, closed the entire restaurant to the public. Therefore, we were able to have buffets throughout the Inn, two full bars, dancing in one large room as well as quieter, conversational dining areas throughout the rest of the Inn. We even had outside dining/smoking areas available. The ceremony was handled impeccably and the setting was gorgeous. The majority of our guests made it a point to tell us that the food was the best they ever had. And the desserts - amazing! The staff was friendly, exceedingly professional and attentive to every detail. Meeting with the owner and his wife (who provided the flowers) was a pleasure. The staff showed great flexibility in catering to our needs. We could not have imagined a more beautiful, fun filled and delicious experience! It was the best day of our lives. If you want elegance, attentiveness to your unique sensibilities, and friendly, personal care, the Kimberton Inn is your place! It was AMAZING!!! -

The Kimberton Inn is an amazing wedding venue! Jeff and his staff were incredible to work with. I loved that my guests were able to choose their meal that day and their food was made to order. Our guests are still raving about the food and cake almost 2 weeks later. The flowers that the Kimberton Inn provided were beautiful! My wedding day was more than I hoped for because of Jeff and his staff! If you are looking to have no worries on your wedding day and an excellent time that your guests will be talking about for years - check out the Kimberton Inn! -

We got married in June 2015 and were so blessed to have had our wedding at the Kimberton Inn. It was perfect for us. My husband lived in VA at the time and me in NJ, and we were planning our wedding in PA! Ordinarily this would have been quite the challenge, but the Kimberton Inn made so much of it an ease.
First, as soon as we set foot there we just knew it was the place. It's such a beautiful romantic setting that stands on its own - no additional decor needed! It was also just the right size for our guests. And then working with Jeff was so great. He has a TON of experience and we definitely drew on this since we didn't have our families around to help us plan. Jeff was very accommodating of our schedules, reliable, dependable, kind and also provided great advice throughout.
We also had a GREAT food tasting. The food was amazing and we knew our guests would be really pleased with it. (We were sold on the Kimberton Inn before we even found out the huge added plus that they have great restaurant reviews).
Jeff's wife, Michelle, also did our flowers (which was also super convenient) and they were so BEAUTIFUL. They added such a special touch and it was clear she really took time to select and arrange the perfect flowers for us. Her talent and passion for her work was so apparent. She was also wonderful to work with.
Day of, things didn't exactly go according to plan because we ran late on our ceremonies (yes, plural – long story) but Jeff took the change in his stride and everything flowed as though it was the original plan to begin with.
Overall, you can't go wrong with the Kimberton Inn. Our guests had an amazing time and so did we! Such a blast, so much fun, and stress-free planning :) Jeff, HUGE thanks to you, Michelle, Jay and the rest of your staff once more for really making our day so special!! We'll definitely be back to say hello.
Love,
Glo & Phil

The Kimberton Inn did an absolutely fabulous job for us. The owner gave us excellent advice on how to think about the reception, the cocktail hour , the menus and the entertainment. We worked together to plan the event - a real partnership. The team made the whole day run like clockwork from the hors d'oevres, to the meal, to the cutting of the cake. Everyone had a fantastic time and it was everything we wanted our day to be. Also, the venue is stunning - a little bridge over a stream, a mill and a duck pond all provide a beautiful background for the pictures. They also provided my bouquet and the flowers for the reception room, which were outstanding. I highly recommend the Kimberton Inn. -

To say that I was pleased with the service that Jeff and his staff provided for us on our wedding day would be an understatement. Everything was handled with such professionalism and with great care and understanding of what we were trying to accomplish on our wedding day. The day went perfect and I had the utmost confidence in Jeff from our first meeting to the moment he escorted me down to the ceremony location where I met my husband to be! Jeff is very knowledgable about his business. He takes it very seriously and genuinely wants to create the best day for you and your guests, whatever the occasion may be. It doesn't matter if you're having 20 guests or 120 guests Jeff and his staff are amazing and attentive in every way. He doesn't just handle the big details but also the little details, often handling them himself. I couldn't have asked for anything else. He saw to whatever I needed or requested with efficiency and confidence. He answered all my questions and asked me a lot of questions that truly helped me plan our wedding day, a lot of things I didn't necessarily think of but because of his knowledge of the business he knew what to ask! And as if the excellent service wasn't enough the food is fantastic! I couldn't tell you how many guests expressed how wonderful everything tasted and said it was the best wedding food they've ever had, and that's just it, it's not your typical wedding reception menu. You really feel like you're creating this fantastic meal that you will be sharing with family and friends in a beautiful setting with an amazing staff of people. I would do it all again in a heartbeat and would recommend the Kimberton Inn to anyone who wishes to have an event to remember.

My husband and I had our wedding and reception at the Kimberton Inn a month ago, and could not have asked for a better experience. We selected the Inn because we loved the charming, historic character of the building, and we didn't want a typical run-of-the-mill package wedding. Jeff made the wedding and reception feel unique to us. The beautiful banquet room was used to perform the ceremony. When the guests moved into the restaurant space for cocktail hour, they quickly flipped to room for the reception. The whole event was executed flawlessly by the wonderful and professional staff.
I can't say enough about the delicious food! We selected 4 dishes from their actual restaurant menu (not a typical banquet menu) and guests selected their dinner when they were seated. The kitchen cooked all the dinners to order! This is an amazing feat for a group of 100 people. We heard "this is the best wedding food I've ever had" over and over from our guests. My personal favorite part of the food was the wedding cake. Jeff talked us into the carrot cake, which felt like an odd wedding cake choice. He swore that more wedding cake was eaten when the bride and groom selected carrot cake than any other flavor. Well, I hate to say it, but he was right. We received so many compliments on the cake, and I even had a friend ask where she could get this cake for herself because it was so delicious. We're about to have a piece of the cake topper to celebrate our 1 month anniversary.
I could go on, but I would just say that my wedding day turn out to be better than I could ever had imagined. Thank you Jeff and your staff for making our wedding so memorable! -

Upon completing our ride, packing up the bikes into the car, we then finally “noticed” this gem of a place. We casually walked around the grounds, admired the small creek and old water wheel that adorned the property, thinking that would be an ideal backdrop for our outside ceremony that my now wife was yearning for. The building itself has a ton of history behind it, and it really comes shining through both outside and inside of this historic inn, built in the 1700’s. The regal, red brick steps, tall white pillar columns flanking the heavy wooden doors, adorned by leaded glass windows on either side; we just had to look further! Across the street is a picturesque pond with geese, swans and ducks, meandering about. Beside that is an old pump-house, some 200+ year old trees; fantastic backdrops for pictures, right on site! I wonder if they do weddings we said aloud.
So, we walked inside and were greeted by their friendly staff, asked if we wanted a cup of coffee while we waited for the owner/operator. (Great gourmet coffee BTW!)
Out came Jeff Effgen, the owner/operator of the Kimberton Inn for over 33 years! He took the time to give us a tour of the restaurant (historic bar area, 3 wood burning fireplaces, wine cellar, dining area, and a banquet room). From the repurposed brick flooring, historic charm, you just got an incredibly warm feeling of the aura of this fine restaurant. We knew this was going to be the one-stop shop for all of our needs. It’s easy to get lost in all of the choices, but Jeff offered up vast knowledge and expertise on what paired well, what most people would prefer, and asked great thought provoking questions to ensure he could tailor this special day to make it the most memorable one we’d carry together for the rest of our lives. Needless to say, mission accomplished! Food - Amazing! Service - Impeccable! Charm/Setting-Off the Charts! Everyone RAVED how much FUN they had & how AMAZING the FOOD & SERVICE were!! GO CHECK IT OUT! -

We were married at the Kimberton Inn on 6/9/12. I cannot rave enough about the experience that we had at the Kimberton. Our wedding was FLAWLESS thanks to Jeff Effgen, the owner, and his staff. One of the things that I really loved about our wedding was that it didn’t feel like we were part of a wedding factory. You are the only wedding that will happen on that day – and throughout the planning process you will feel as though their entire focus is on you. When you have your wedding at the Kimberton, unlike the majority of weddings in the world, your guests won’t need to decide on their meal months in advance on an RSVP card, nor will they receive a standard meal – instead, they will get to choose from a menu of options on the day of your wedding. In that sense, it feels as though you are treating all of your friends and family to a really fabulous dinner instead of feeding them bad banquet food. In fact, one of our guests was really struggling between two entrees and his server surprised him with a side serving of the risotto that he almost ordered. That kind of unique service isn’t found at other locations that host weddings. While we were taking photos outside, Jeff (the owner) was personally serving us. Jeff is passionate about what he does and as a result, his product is beyond compare. Our wedding photos that were taken outside are GORGEOUS. One of the most special unexpected moments was when Jeff’s staff privately served my husband and I two of every appetizer on a silver platter while our guests took their seats- so sweet. Everything that is served on your wedding day is the same food that is served at the Kimberton Inn so when we return we remember our special day and have the same delicious food (the crab cake!!! the shrimp cocktail!!!) that we had on our wedding day. Almost three years later and my friends are STILL talking about how my wedding was THE BEST and had THE BEST FOOD. You really get a high-end, five-star wedding. -

We went to the Kimberton Inn for a post-Christmas dinner. The staff was very polite and attentive from the coat checker, to the bus boy, to our VERY professional waitress Casandra. The romantic ambiance of the room where we were seated was just what my wife and I were looking for. The REAL fire in a huge fireplace kept the room in a soft, romantic glow and comfortably warm. The specialty drinks were tasty and generous. I had the Kimberton Old Fashioned. BEST one I have ever had. And the house Pinot Noir was way smoother than any house red we have had at any other restaurant. The appetizers had some unique flavors. My rib eye was cooked just right and my wife's lamb was especially flavorsome. She wanted to take what she couldn't eat home, but i insisted I finish it for her at the restaurant because it was so good.
The owner Jeff would stop by our table from time-to-time to check on us which was a nice touch. Many managers or owners are stiff or sound disingenuous when they make their rounds of the tables. Jeff had a genuinely congenial demeanor.
We were too full to try the desserts, but they all looked very good.
These two dining experiences have made us loyal fans the Kimberton Inn. It is hard for us to find the time to dine out. But when we do, the Kimberton Inn will always be at the top of our list. In the forty-four years we have lived and dined in the western suburbs of Philadelphia, we have not found a better brunch and dinner than the ones offered at the Kimberton Inn. -

The Kimberton Inn put on an amazing rehearsal dinner for us. From cocktails before dinner to allowing us to combine two rooms in the main dining area to accommodate our 60 guests, they were flexible while upholding a very high level of service. The menu was seasonal and the food was outstanding, particularly the pork chop. With such high-quality food, we were surprised by the value and selection. It wasn't inexpensive but it was great value considering the price per person included drinks, appetizer, salad, entree and dessert. Jason met with us twice beforehand to show us the space and go over costs and Jeff, the owner, had us by for dinner to try the food and help narrow down our menu choices. All in all a flawless event that was a great way to kick off a wonderful weekend. -

We just celebrated our 5 year anniversary back at the Kimberton inn where we were married on 10/10/09 . I cant say enough great things about Jeff E., the owner as well as his staff. Five years later not only do they remember my husband and I, but they treat us like family. Our wedding was so memorable for so many reasons. The biggest one is that they didn't treat us like "just another run-of-the-mill" wedding (which is the feeling we got when shopping around for a vendor). Jeff, Jason and his staff took the time to explain everything our wedding would be-and it exceeded our expectations. We still hear from folks, 5 years later " Your wedding was the BEST wedding I've ever attended" and " the food at your wedding was so delicious". That is exactly what Jeff told us would happen. Our ceremony and reception was there. We were married outside and they did a lovely job with the beauty of the grounds. The liquor, wine, beer and service staff were top notch. The décor, the cake, the linens, the details of everything were thought of. Nothing was missed. We love the K.I and continue to frequent it about twice a year for V-day and our anniversary. If you are looking for a rustic, country wedding, that is different than every ballroom, venue, run of the mill catered type of buffet event- then choose this Inn. You wont regret it. -

Prior to our marriage on 10/3/14, my husband and I frequented Kimberton Inn. It was always an amazing and romantic experience. In fact, our first 'couples' photos were taken at Kimberton Inn, When we got engaged on 8/1/14, Kimberton Inn was on the top of our list for our wedding venue.
We met with Jeff a couple of times and we were totally confident that Kimberton was the perfect venue for our ceremony and reception. We were not disappointed, in fact, Jeff, Jason and the entire staff made our special night, exceptional!
The service was nothing short of outstanding! As a bride, Jeff and the staff at Kimberton Inn, helped my husband make the event truly a dream come true! I would highly recommend Kimberton Inn as the perfect venue for your special day!!

My husband and I got married at The Kimberton Inn on Sunday, September 28, 2014. Jeff Effgen, the owner, was such a crucial part in creating the classy, jazz brunch reception that we wanted. Everything about our day, and our entire experience, was seamlessly executed and exceeded our expectations. From our first meeting with Jeff, we knew that we had found a gem location, and a person that is a leader in the business. He will always be one step ahead; his forethought unparalleled. This location is truly the complete package: charming building, gorgeous, natural grounds, fantastic food, and flawless service. Jeff's wife, Michelle, also creates absolutely elegant centerpieces.
While other venues will e-mail you their boxed "packages" and invite you to an open house at the same time other couples are visiting (making your most special day feel like a business opportunity), Jeff will invite you to come in, sit down and have a cup of coffee, and discuss what YOU want. I didn't come across any other person that was so keen in making my wedding a personal experience (which seems ironic, doesn't it?!).
While mingling with our guests, we were told over and over again how delicious the food was. I was also absolutely thrilled that guests ordered off of our pre-selected menu the day off, rather than having to select months in advance....making it feel like a dining experience at a restaurant, not a "banquet". My friends and family remarked over and over how helpful Jeff was, how he didn't miss a beat, and how the service during the meal was top-notch.
In the months leading up to the wedding, I would mention The Kimberton Inn at various places (my hair salon, my seamstress, my doctor's office, even the dog park!). EVERY single person had something glowing to say about Jeff and the Inn. Trust me on this, they are not only doing it right, they've absolutely nailed it.

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Kimberton Inn on October 4, 2014 and could not have asked for a better experience! Jeff’s years of experience and his well-run staff made for a seamless day where myself, my husband, our bridal party, family and friends were able to thoroughly enjoy the day without a worry.
The Kimberton was able to turn their banquet room into a beautiful setting for a ceremony. I brought everything for the ceremony over a couple days prior and went through all directions with the assistant manager, and never had to repeat myself. They executed everything perfectly that day of. Then the reception went off without a hitch! We had a sit down dinner, which is not easy with 100 guests, but they did it wonderfully. The servers were fantastic – extremely attentive and organized. And the food! There aren’t words to describe how delicious all the meals were. I have never heard so many people rave about the food at a wedding. Not only was it delicious, but the portions were huge! I saw many guests requesting doggie bags because it was too good to not take home with them.
Jeff made himself very visible throughout the entire day and night. We chose to arrive at the Kimberton early and do pictures before the ceremony, and Jeff made sure we had everything we needed while taking pictures even while he was inside preparing for the ceremony and reception. Then continued to make sure we were well taken care of and had everything we needed up until the minute we left.
I would highly recommend the Kimberton Inn for your wedding! They include so many aspects of the day in their package, including the wedding cake and centerpieces. It truly brings ease to planning. Everyone had such wonderful things to say about our wedding after the fact thanks to Jeff and his staff. Thank you Kimberton!! -

From starting the planning to the end of the reception Jeff Effgen was super to work with. We had our ideas and plans of what we wanted our wedding day and reception to be like and Jeff made it happen! He is an exquisite party planner and is as detailed-oriented as we are! If you are having a smaller wedding, and you want it on a Friday or Saturday evening, the Kimberton Inn is the place to have it – no 125 guest minimum required! We had 68 guests and the Inn is charming, cozy, inviting, the grounds are beautiful, and a perfect site for an intimate wedding. Jeff met with us 4 times to go over details, and based on his extensive experience, gave us great guidance on making our party a success. The unique thing is that the restaurant is closed to the public during the cocktail hour so our guests enjoyed hors d' oeuvres and cocktails in the main restaurant and bar area. It was delightful, and roomy, yet intimate! The food was delicious and the liquor is top-shelf, and you get to choose from a wide selection hors d' oeuvres, and if not on the list, Jeff will get it or have it made for you. Our guests raved about the hors d' oeuvres and the impeccable service. Due to our delay in getting to the cocktail hour due to photos, Jeff and his staff met my husband and me with an array of hors d' oeuvres so we wouldn’t miss out on them! We then all moved to the banquet room for dinner. The main courses, potatoes, and vegetables were delicious and served nice and hot. Two of our friends are vegan, and Jeff easily had the chef accommodate their dietary requests. Jeff was very visible during our reception and would “check in” with us to be sure everything was perfect. And it was! We thoroughly enjoyed our wedding day and reception! Our family and friends commented several times about the superb service, delicious food and even told Jeff himself. Visit the Kimberton Inn website and speak with Jeff about your wedding plans. You get what you pay for and more! -

What a magical and stress free wedding we had, thanks to the wonderful owner and staff of Kimberton Inn. Everything was taken care of for us and it all turned out to be so beautiful, classy and perfect. Our guests were so impressed with the venue, the setting, the food the drinks, and the staff that they were raving about it for weeks afterward. One guest was compelled to visit the chef to compliment the excellent food.
Everything - and I mean everything for the reception- including the table flowers was included in one price. All the beverages - alcoholic and non-alcoholic - were top shelf and our guests had an on the spot choice of entrees. Even the kids menu was a delight. After sending a couple of photos of wedding cakes that I liked, they created a breathtaking confection that tasted as great as it looked - and it looked wonderful.
The wedding party flowers were not included, but the owner's wife, who does the table flowers did those for us too - they were absolutely beautiful. She took the time to get my preferences and then executed my wishes perfectly.
I cannot say enough about the ease and pleasure of planning this wedding - thanks to Jeff and Michelle and the Kimberton Inn. -

You cannot go wrong with the Kimberton Inn. Foremost, this is one of the best restaurants the Philadelphia suburbs has to offer, which speaks volumes about the quality of food you will have for your reception. Kimberton is set apart by the attention to detail. Both Jeffrey Effgen, the owner, and Jason Irrgang, the manager, continually go out of their way to make sure everyone has a fantastic experience. Their staff are extremely professional and do a wonderful job of making you feel comfortable.
We have had two experiences with weddings at Kimberton Inn. I attended a larger, 100+ wedding ceremony and reception here several years ago and have often said it was the best wedding I had ever attended. The ceremony was in their hall which has a beautiful view of the landscaping, pond, and the cute barn and waterwheel. While the wedding party were taking photographs, the restaurant and bar was opened for the guests for hors d’oeuvres and drinks which provided room to mingle. The staff circulated often to make sure we had plenty to eat and drink. Finally, back in the hall we had dinner; I chose the lobster in puff pastry. The food was so good, I still remember what I ate.
The second time was for our own wedding reception. Kimberton Inn has always held a special place in our hearts, so there was really no question where we wanted to celebrate our nuptials. With facile, Jeff helped us select exactly what we wanted for our reception. They have several rooms that work perfectly for various size parties. We were upstairs in “The Balcony" (reception of 40) which was the perfect size to be intimate. Our guests all raved about the food and how charming the space was. We were impressed by the staff who delivered fantastic service and a wonderful meal.
Pro tip: you should also consider dining here. You have to try the lamb and the “Probably the Best Salad You’ll Ever Have”—it really is. It is the perfect place for a romantic evening or for brunch with your dearest friends. -

We had our ceremony and reception at the Kimberton Inn on June 7, 2014. From the very beginning of planning our day, we met with Jeff, the owner of the inn. He asked us questions that made us think about every little detail, things that we would not have thought of. Jeff and his staff saw to every detail and answered every question we had. Our ceremony was outside---what a beautiful, serene setting for a wedding. And perfect for pictures afterward! Our guests enjoyed a cocktail reception while we were having photos taken---and we were personally served drinks and hors d'oeuvres during this time. Our wedding was small (30 people); the tables were set up in a V, which made it possible for us to see all of our guests. So much nicer than having everyone spread out at small tables! Our guests had a lovely menu to choose from during the reception, which was much nicer than having to pick their meal 6 weeks in advance when sending back their response card. The food was outstanding, expertly prepared, and beautifully served. We felt like the most important people that were at the inn that day!
Jeff was with us every step of the way during our wedding. He kept us informed of how many of our guests had arrived, where I should walk so the groom didn't see me before the ceremony, what was happening next. He works side by side with his staff---they're a well-oiled machine that will make sure your day is perfect.
If I could go back and change anything about our wedding, I would not change a thing!!! We had a perfect day! Our guests are still talking about how wonderful it was, and it's a day that we'll remember forever! You absolutely can't go wrong having your wedding and reception at the Kimberton Inn!!

The Kimberton Inn was the perfect venue for us. We were married in Valley Forge at the Washington Memorial Chapel and since the Kimberton Inn was built in 1796, it all kept to the same historical timeframe. The Inn was absolutely spectacular on the day of my wedding. There are woodburning fireplaces in every room and the entire place was decorated for Christmas. The owner Jeff and his wife Michelle do the most amazing job with the ambiance. Michelle did my flowers for the tables and all of the decorations for the inn and it could not have looked better!! I worked with Jason to plan my event. He was thorough and every detail turned out how I wanted. The food was delicious and he kept everything on schedule throughout the reception. All my friends and family were extremely impressed with everything! I would recommend the Kimberton Inn to everyone! -

Everyone said our wedding looked like a million dollars! Everything was done so perfectly I can't recommend this place enough. Thankyou Jeff and Jason for helping our wedding day dreams come true! -

My wife and I just celebrated our 8th anniversary by returning to the Kimberton Inn and reflected that our decision to get married there was the best decision we ever made. Proprietor Jeff Effgen all but guarantees a first class affair. The attention to detail and the service is only matched by the quality of the food, and the beauty and class of the establishment itself. Almost every one of our guests commented that it was among the very best weddings they had ever attended. Because of the size of the Inn, you can't have 200 people attend, but if you're party is in the 80-120 person range, you will not find a better value, a better meal, more impeccable service, or a more committed and hands on proprietor than Jeff. In addition to our wedding, we had our rehearsal dinner there as well, and could not have been happier. We return at least once a year to the inn for dinner, and recommend it whole heartedly. -

They really know how to host a wedding. I've never been more comfortable with the planning, menu selection, and execution of a party or event (and my wedding was not the first large event I've planned). The food is outstanding, the service is phenomenal, and every suggestion that Jeff (the proprietor) made was useful and spot-on. This venue is intimate and romantic, high-class yet laid-back, bucolic yet not far from major destinations, flexible yet traditional -- it really was my dream venue. It doesn't hurt that the guests all raved and said they'd be back there for dinner. I also got comments such as "this is what I wished MY wedding was like!" Somewhat embarrassing, but a testament to Jeff's attention to detail and overall quality. Thanks, Jeff! -

We cannot rave enough about the Kimberton Inn. Jeff and his staff provided us with a flawless wedding day. The Kimberton is perfect for an intimate wedding (we had 83 guests). Our guests left saying "this was the best wedding I've ever been to." The quality of the food (which was exquisitely prepared...not "banquet chicken"), the level of service (little touches like refolding napkins when guests get up from their place), and the beautiful setting make for a beautiful wedding. Jeff is totally passionate about what he does and will deliver a gorgeous day. As a bride, there were wonderful touches that made the day so wonderful. For example, when we were taking photographs outside, Jeff brought us drinks and appetizers....and while our guests took their seats for the reception, we got a quiet moment to ourselves at the bar with a plate of all the appetizers (that we weren't able to eat when we were greeting everyone during cocktail hour). I could go on and on raving about how happy I am...the Kimberton is FLAWLESS. You will not be disappointed. -

After searching for an intimate, off the beaten path, non-ballroom type of facility to host our wedding, we immediately fell in the love with the Kimberton Inn. Jeff the owner was top notch in his professionalism, attentiveness and the food was fantastic. They only have one wedding a day, so you can rest assure that their focus is on your big day.
We were married on the premises in front of the rustic water wheel. Just check out my pictures the location is amazing! Jeff made sure everything went off on time and without a hitch.
Jeff was there with us throughout the entire wedding planning process and has even followed up with me afterwards. I cant say enough fantastic things about the Inn, the staff, the food, everything was wonderful and all that I ever dreamed of. Well worth the money! People are still raving about our party. -

Phenomenal in every way - this vendor is great if you are looking for an event to be classy and well managed. The Kimberton Inn is well known for its outstanding food. The staff is known for their responsiveness and attention to detail. The guests raved about the food and the class of their banquet room. Great place to get married or host your reception. Additionally, we only had a wedding guest list of 28 people (including us) but they made the banquet room feel quaint and appropriately sized for us (even though it seats up to 120). -

We had our wedding at the Kimberton Inn in August 2015. We first fell involve with the inn because we felt it was so beautiful and full of character that we didn't really need to worry about extra decoration. We also loved the fact that they provide everything from ceremony location, food, flowers, cake... Its nice to work with a single vendor! Our creamy was outside on the lawn by the Inn. We were able to take some beautiful pictures outside on the Inns steps as well as behind by the lake and the pretty old watermill. When we arrived at the Inn on the day of the wedding we met Jeff, the owner of the inn, outside where he was moving and touching up the lawn to make sure that our ceremony site was just perfect. I think that says a lot about the degree of effort he and the rest of his team put into making sure our day was as perfect as it gets. Everything worked out great, the food was delicious, the flowers and cake just as we imagined it. We would definitely recommend the Kimberton inn for any event and can't wait to go back for our anniversary dinner :) -

The Kimberton Inn was truly a remarkable place to have our wedding reception. We had trouble finding a venue for our smaller wedding of 90 guests. The Kimberton holds about 125, which was perfect for us. I cannot say enough about the level of service they provided to us and our guests on our wedding day. They made our reception feel 'upscale' without being snobby or pretentious. The owner, Jeff, coordinates all the weddings himself and does a remarkable job. They were willing to do whatever we wanted to make sure our day was special. On top of the wonderful service and beautiful decor, the food is delicious. We were so glad we chose the Kimberton Inn, both because we had such a positive experience and because our guests couldn't stop raving. Additionally, the cost was less than we expected for such a beautiful event. -

The Kimberton Inn was a beautiful place to have a wedding, and the food was very good. It was beautiful when we were there, and it looks even nicer now that they remodeled....but I remember how nice it was to have the fireplace. I have fond memories of my reception even 19 years later!
I can't believe they still say they only do one wedding per day. That's what they promised me, yet when we got there, there was another wedding that was just leaving! -
